“Real Housewives of Atlanta” to Film Season 12 Reunion Remotely From Their Homes Due to Coronavirus Pandemic

The Atlanta Housewives will finally have the chance to settle their differences, start some new beef, and throw lots of shade … from the comfort of their homes.

After previously being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, it has been confirmed that The Real Housewives of Atlanta will shoot a reunion special for season 12.

For the first time ever, the reunion will be shot remotely with all the housewives and host And Cohen filming from their own homes.

Cohen shared the news on his SiriusXM show earlier this week.

“Listen, this is obviously not how we would prefer to do, it but life is not how we prefer it right now. We want to be in the same room, but we cannot risk the health and safety of our Housewives and our incredible crew in Georgia.”

The RHOA reunion was originally scheduled to be filmed in late March, but was postponed. Cohen and producers made the decision to film virtually because of the show’s popularity and to capture reality as it is.

“Atlanta is regarded by many as the Super Bowl of reunion shows. It is one of my favorite reunions to shoot, I look forward to it. And the fact of the matter is, it’s either we do it this way or there is no Super Bowl this year.”

“We need to reset the table with the ladies in Atlanta,” Cohen added. “If we wait for this pandemic to be over for when we all are in the same room, it’s going to delay everything.

“We need to move forward. We need to live in reality right now, and reality right now is if we’re going to do this, we’re going to do this virtually.”

All of the peach-holding housewives and friends, Marlo Hampton and Tanya Sam, will attend the virtual reunion.

It’s unknown when filming will take place or how many reunion episodes will air. However, the RHOA season 12 finale is Sunday, April 19th.

But one thing is for sure: All the ladies have a lot to get off their chest and it will be must-see television.

“These girls … they’re gonna get it, let me tell you,” said NeNe Leakes recently told People. “This isn’t a threat, it’s a promise.”

Texas Teen Arrested for Threatening to Spread COVID-19: “If I’m Going Down, All You Motherf**kers Are Going Down!”

Texas police have arrested 18-year-old Lorraine Maradiaga after she posted a video on Snapchat claiming to be intentionally spreading the COVID-19 virus, according to new reports.

“I’m here at Walmart about to infest every motherf**ker,” she says in one of the social media posts. “Because if I’m going down, all you motherf**kers are going down.”

https://www.facebook.com/yredican/posts/2871469746239939

Throughout her many posts, Maradiaga is seen coughing and claiming that she was infected with the virus that is causing a worldwide pandemic, as well as shopping at a Carrollton, TX Walmart without a mask.

Portions of the Snapchat videos, which typically disappear, were recorded by viewers. In them, she is heard saying that she doesn’t “give a f**k about how others reacted,” and that she hoped this stunt would make her famous.

https://www.facebook.com/CarrolltonTXPD/posts/10158397312772867

Police began the search for Maradiaga when they were made aware of her actions, and on Tuesday (Apr. 7), they finally arrested the Texas teenager after she surrendered herself, authorities say.

She was immediately transferred to the Denton County Jail, and is being held on $20,000 bail.

If she does post the bail, authorities have ordered that she self-quarantine for 21 days following her release despite the fact that she actually tested negative for COVID-19.

Maradiaga is currently facing charges of making terroristic threats by willfully spreading the virus, and she is not the only one to find herself in this predicament.

Since the outbreak started, multiple people have been criminally charged for threatening to spread coronavirus in public.

WATCH: Police Officer Arrested for Beating His Girlfriend Has Uniform Cut Off While in Handcuffs

Back in February, a New Mexico cop resigned after being arrested for beating his girlfriend, and a video taken at the time has now surfaced that shows the arresting officers cutting his police uniform off while he was handcuffed.

31-year-old Jeffrey Wharton was greeted by a group of armed Rio Rancho Police officers when he arrived at the station in full uniform, but rather than going about his workday, he was arrested with a felony warrant.

The charges stemmed from a severe beating the former police office inflicted on his girlfriend that was partially captured on the couple’s ring camera, according to reports.

In the video, Wharton is seen dragging his screaming girlfriend back into their home after she attempted to flee.

The woman suffered severe injuries and was rushed to Rust Medical Center before being transported to the University of New Mexico hospital. There, she was treated for gashes on her head and face and bleeding in her brain, court documents say.

Wharton was arrested on multiple charges, including first degree kidnapping, aggravated battery against a household member, and tampering with evidence.

After the officers placed Wharton in cuffs, they proceeded to use scissors to physically remove his uniform rather than letting him take it off beforehand.

When given the opportunity to tell his side of the story, he declined. When asked if he would like to say anything, he declined, simply stating, “Not after hearing that, no.”

The 31-year-old man has been in jail since being arrested as he awaits trial, but his lawyer is attempting to get him out on bail due to concerns over COVID-19.

Prosecutors are hoping to prevent that, saying that releasing him wouldn’t protect the safety of either the community at large or the victim.

As of now, a judge is set to hear that motion next month, but courts across the country are shutting down due to the continued, worldwide pandemic.

Tiffany Haddish & Common Caught Quarantining Together, Adding Fuel to Recent Dating Rumors

After continuing to deny the rumors, there’s now more evidence that Tiffany Haddish and Common are a couple … or at least more than “just friends.”

Over the weekend, Haddish made an appearance during Cedric the Entertainer’s virtual Heal Through Laughter event, a fundraiser for COVID-19 relief.

Haddish revealed that she was not quarantining alone and fans noticed Common roaming in the background.

The musician eventually crashed Haddish’s segment to speak to Cedric and thank him for keeping us laughing during this time.

As he left the frame, Haddish looked into the camera, winked and stuck out her tongue, as if to say “Yea, that’s what I’m doing,” with the gesture.

“Tiff, that’s an exclusive,” Cedric said. “That’s an exclusive.”

Haddish and Common have been seen together at many events over the past few months. Tina Knowles-Lawson even called the two a “beautiful couple” on social media.

“He’s my friend. He been my friend for a while,” Haddish said on The Real a few weeks ago. “But if he wants to date me, I will date him!” she added.

The two “friends” may not be ready to officially go public with their relationship though, because Haddish has recently stated that she will not share as much about her personal/romantic life as much as she has in the past.

Common was last romantically linked to attorney and political commentary Angela Rye.

YNW Melly Says He’s Dying From Coronavirus in Prison, Begs Judge for Early Release

Incarcerated rapper YNW Melly is begging a judge to release him from prison because he feels like he’s dying from coronavirus.

The Florida rapper’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, recently filed court docs claiming the Florida rapper, who is behind bars while awaiting his double murder trial and recently tested positive for coronavirus, is having trouble breathing and suffering from severe chills, headaches and body aches.

Cohen said in the court docs, obtained by TMZ, that Melly currently weighs 114 pounds and hasn’t been closely monitored by medical personnel every hour as they’re supposed to be doing.

Cohen said Melly is also being housed in a cell with another inmate who also tested positive for COVID-19, and he’s afraid that he could become even sicker “if the virus can be mutated or passed reoccurring between individuals.”

Cohen also claims that the jail is ill-prepared for a pandemic of this type considering “they have not given them masks, or cleaning supplies that would be beneficial regarding his recovery,” which “is against all recommendations of the Surgeon General and CDC.”

Melly is asking the judge to release him from prison and place him on house arrest so that he be treated at a real medical facility, and he’s willing to foot the bill for everything.

YNW Melly is currently being held in Broward County Jail in Florida after he was arrested in February 2019 and charged in the double murder of his two friends, YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser.

The 20-year-old rapper is accused of shooting and killing the men in a vehicle then staging the scene to look like a drive-by with the help of his friend, YNW Bortlen.

Melly was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, while Bortlen is facing the same charge, as well as two counts of accessory after the fact.

Melly has pleaded not guilty to the charges and faces the death penalty if convicted.

Chico DeBarge’s Son Dontae Stabbed to Death in Los Angeles, Was Reportedly Homeless

R&B singer Chico DeBarge is mourning the loss of his 35-year-old son, Dontae Anderson-DeBarge, who died after a fatal stabbing in Los Angeles last week.

Police confirmed they found a 35-year-old man dying on the street Thursday (Apr. 2) with multiple stab wounds. Officers said they tried to perform CPR on the victim, who they declared homeless, but he couldn’t be resuscitated.

The Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement: “Per Sgt. Fisher, Van Nuys Area Watch Commander, a homicide occurred at the above location. The victim (M/B/35 yrs) was found with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by LAFD.”

Information about the suspect is unknown at this time, and it also wasn’t clear whether the incident was gang-related. Police said they were actively investigating the case.

Though police haven’t confirmed the identity of the victim, it’s being presumed that it’s Chico DeBarge’s son Dontae based on a number of posts on social media from family and friends after reports of the incident surfaced.

One post on Facebook from a woman named Shelly McAdoo read:

“Today as I celebrate my birth son’s birthday, I grieve over the son in my heart Dontae Anderson-DeBarge. We always said that God brought us together. We searched for you when you were a baby. You found your family at a play in Chicago, as you brazenly and proudly made your way back stage and immediately into the hearts of your father and everyone else’s whose path you crossed.

“I will miss our check-ins (smoke signals), our fancy dinner dates with Chica Loved DeBarge, watching and listening to you interact with all of your cousins. It was always a comedy show. I will miss your sensitive nature and your beautiful eye lashes, among so much. I thank God that he saw fit for our paths to cross.

“‘I love you babe.’ That was our last exchange. God knew your heart and knew through it all, you had a heart for him. Look over your parents and your family. I pray that the salt of their tears, soon will be replaced by the sweetest of memories of you. You were here. You mattered. You will be missed … Rest babe!”

His cousin, Damea Jordan, also wrote:

“My Cousin Dontae Anderson-DeBarge I love you and will always hold you in my heart. You will be missed! RIH … Xoxo thank you for all the good times we shared!!”

“So Hurt & Angry Right Now,” read another tribute post Facebook. “Lord Knows I Tried To Help You Like Many Others Who Love You Dontae Anderson-Debarge. As I Look Through Your Photos With Tears Run Down My Face Can’t Help To Wonder ‘What More Could I Have Done’???”

The post continued: “Calling Destiny Anderson every other hour checking on her & don’t ever know what to say to Auntie Vivian Warfield. Laying here reminiscing on all the summers you stayed with me & my kids. My Heart aches for you.”

Chico DeBarge is a younger brother of the Motown family act DeBarge and is best known for his 1986 single “Talk to Me.”

The death of Chico’s son from a fatal stabbing incident is a sad twist of fate considering he himself almost died back in 2003 after he was stabbed by a man inside a Philadelphia nightclub while touring in the Tyler Perry stage play “Why Did I Get Married?” The stab wound was said to be within inches of his kidney and lungs.

Floyd Mayweather Deleted All Photos of Daughter Iyanna From His Instagram After Her Arrest for Stabbing NBA YoungBoy’s Baby Mama (Report)

Floyd Mayweather is obviously not happy with his daughter Iyanna’s behavior right now … because he just wiped his Instagram account clean of ALL photos of her.

Iyanna Mayweather (aka “YaYa”) was arrested Friday night (Apr. 3) after she got into a violent altercation with one of NBA YoungBoy’s many baby mamas at the rapper’s Houston, Texas home that resulted in her stabbing the woman twice in her arms.

Police said YoungBoy and his baby mama, Lapattra Lashai Jacobs, were at the rapper’s home when YaYa showed up and told the woman she was YoungBoy’s fiancée and she should leave the house immediately.

Jacobs, apparently not trying to hear that noise, told Iyanna she should be the one leaving, and when their argument moved to the kitchen, that’s when YaYa pulled out two kitchen knives.

Police said Jacobs then approached Iyanna, who proceeded to charge at Jacobs and stabbed her twice, one time with each of the two knives.

When paramedics arrived, Jacobs was laying on the floor bleeding. Law enforcement sources say the injuries she sustained were so severe that she was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery.

YaYa was booked into the Harris County jail on a felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge and was later released.

Later that night, while on Instagram Live responding to Kodak Black’s comments about him “cooperating” with police regarding the arrest of his “wife” Yaya (see above), NBA YoungBoy referred to YaYa’s father as a “bitch ass daddy” as she sat right beside him. And she said or did absolutely nothing about it.

“The f**k a n**ga watching me for. A n**ga said I cooperated … about what you stupid bitch?! Huh?! About my wife?!” YoungBoy shouted. “Iyanna get up! Come here! You talking about this girl right here?! My wife?! You talking about my wife?! Inside my house that I paid for and not her bitch a** daddy?! Huh?!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTBbGC8rxpw

Apparently that was the straw that broke the camel’s back, because Floyd has since deleted every single picture of YaYa from his Instagram page, except for this group pic:

https://www.instagram.com/p/BvuB81RhcfR/

Twitter immediately took notice of the action and responded as follows:

2020 has particularly been a rough year for Floyd Mayweather.

On top of the death of his friend Kobe Bryant back in January, Floyd also experienced the deaths of his ex and the mother of three of his children, Josie Harris, and his Uncle Roger within the span of one week in March.

Now, he’s dealing with his 19-year-old daughter out here acting the fool and getting arrested for stabbing a woman over NBA YoungBoy.

Iyanna Mayweather Reportedly Stabbed NBA YoungBoy’s Baby Mama Because She Was Losing the Fight, Injuries Required Emergency Surgery

New details have emerged about the stabbing incident that sent NBA YoungBoy’s baby mama to the hospital and his fiancée, Iyanna Mayweather, to jail.

According to The Blast, police were called around 7:00 p.m. Friday evening (Apr. 3) for a disturbance at YoungBoy’s Texas home.

When officers arrived on the scene, they were informed that Iyanna Mayweather, daughter of famed pro boxer Floyd Mayweather, and the mother of NBA YoungBoy’s child had become involved in a verbal altercation that at some point turned physical.

Gossip of the City reported that Iyanna (aka “Money YaYa”) “caught NBA YoungBoy with another woman at his crib and NBA made his security team remove Yaya” from the premises.

YaYa then snuck back into the house and started fighting the woman, identified as Lapattra Lashai Jacobs.

According to Gossip of the City, “YaYa was losing so she grabbed a knife and stabbed the girl,” who was rushed to the hospital.

A police spokesperson told The Blast that during the fight, Mayweather allegedly stabbed Jacobs with a kitchen knife in both of her arms, which left her with “several lacerations” and required emergency surgery. Jacobs’ injuries were said to be not life-threatening.

Law enforcement sources said all three people in the home, including NBA YoungBoy, were initially detained by police until officers could determine what really went down.

After all was said and done, YoungBoy was considered a “witness” to the violent altercation and was questioned by police.

Iyanna Mayweather was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

She was booked into the Harris County Jail and has since been released, as seen in a since-deleted video from YoungBoy’s Instagram showing her in the background as he disrespects her father, calling him a “bitch a**.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTBbGC8rxpw

For what it’s worth, Mayweather told police Jacobs pulled her hair and was the instigator in the fight.

Following the incident, YoungBoy took to Twitter, writing: “Hold it down for your love one’s up in heaven and they will do the same I’m very blessed and protected if you ask me” and “That’s very unprofessional though s**k my d**k bitch !!!!!”

It wasn’t clear if the rapper was referring to the assault.

Tom Dempsey, Legendary NFL Kicker Who Set Record for Longest Field Goal, Dies of Coronavirus at 73

Tom Dempsey, a legendary NFL kicker best known for his record-setting 63-yard game-winning field goal back in 1970, died Saturday (Apr. 4) from complications from coronavirus, his family confirmed to the Times-Picayune. He was 73 years old.

Dempsey was born without toes on his right foot and without fingers on his right hand, but was able to excel as an NFL kicker thanks to a small, specially designed flat shoe he wore on his kicking foot, which is now on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Dempsey’s record-setting field goal happened while he was a kicker for the New Orleans Saints during the last play their game against the Detroit Lions on November 8th, 1970 at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, which helped the Saints achieve a 19-17 victory. His 63-yard field goal beat the previous record by seven years.

“They called down and said, ‘Tell Stumpy (his nickname) to get ready. We’re going to kick a long field goal.’ I don’t think they planned on making it a 63-yard field goal,” Dempsey said years later in a 2010 interview.

“I had confidence I could kick the ball 62 yards,” Dempsey told reporters after the game in 1970. “But I was wondering whether I could kick it straight 62 or 63 yards, whatever it was. You have to kick the ball as hard as you possibly can, but yet try to hit it square and that’s kind of a hard job really.”

Dempsey’s record has since been matched by five kickers and it was broken by Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater in 2013 when he scored a 64-yard field goal.

When his daughter, Ashley Dempsey, told him that his record had finally been broken, the former kicker said it “Must have been a heckuva kick,” the Times-Picayune reported.

During his entire 11-year NFL career, Dempsey made 159 out of 258 field goals attempted.

In addition to the Saints, Dempsey also played for the Philadelphia Eagles (1971-1974), Los Angeles Rams (1975-1976), Houston Oilers (1977) and Buffalo Bills (1978-1979). He was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 1989.

Dempsey had been battling Alzheimer’s and dementia since 2012 and was living in a New Orleans retirement home where 15 patients have died from COVID-19. He tested positive for the disease on March 25th and was reportedly showing signs of recovery, but passed away late Saturday.

Tom Dempsey survived by his wife Carlene and three kids, Ashley Dempsey, Toby Dempsey (Pamela) and Meghan Dempsey Crosby (Lee), as well as his sister Janice Dempsey. He also had three grandchildren: Dylan Dempsey, Logan Dempsey and Quinn Dempsey.

Dempsey’s family said they’re planning a small funeral due to crowd-size restrictions from officials to help slow the spread of COVID-19, but when those restrictions are lifted, his daughter Ashley said the family will arrange a larger memorial.

YG Believes We’re Being Told to Stay Inside Amid Coronavirus Pandemic to Hide New 5G Towers Being Built

YG is the latest celebrity to suggest that there’s a link between 5G wireless network towers and the global coronavirus pandemic.

According to the California rapper, government officials all over the world are telling all of us to stay inside so that we are oblivious to the construction of 5G wireless towers … and not because they want us to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

YG took to his Instagram stories Saturday (Apr. 4) with his wild conspiracy theory, writing: “They telling us stay in the house kuz they don’t want us to see all them new 5G towers they putting up… – stay woke.”

YG’s sentiments echo those of Keri Hilson, who last month shared a series of now-deleted tweets saying that global coronavirus pandemic was caused by radiation from 5G wireless towers.

“People have been trying to warn us about 5G for YEARS…what we’re going thru is the [effects] of radiation,” Hilson proclaimed on Twitter. “5G launched in CHINA. Nov 1, 2019. People dropped dead.”

She added: “And to be clear, I’m saying there have been lots of studies & experiments that point to the possibility that the dangerous levels of of electromagnetic radiation (5G) could be CAUSING the contagious virus.”

Though scientists have debunked these theories, YG and Keri Hilson are far from the only people who believe in the link between coronavirus and 5G towers.

In fact, UK citizens have gone to extreme measures to “fight” 5G networks in the wake of the theory, forcing the region’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to post a message on Twitter saying that there’s absolutely zero evidence proving that the spread of coronavirus is caused by 5G networks after phone towers in Birmingham, Liverpool and Melling were set on fire.

Floyd Mayweather’s Daughter Iyanna Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing NBA YoungBoy’s Baby Mama

Floyd Mayweather’s 19-year-old daughter Iyanna (aka “Money YaYa”) has been arrested after she allegedly stabbed NBA YoungBoy’s baby mama during a confrontation over the rapper, TMZ reports.

Authorities said NBA YoungBoy and one of his many baby mamas, Lapattra Lashai Jacobs, were at the rapper’s home early Saturday morning (Apr. 4) when Iyanna Mayweather showed up and told Jacobs she was YoungBoy’s fiancée and Jacobs should leave the house immediately.

Apparently Jacobs wasn’t trying to hear that and told Iyanna to leave. The argument then moved to the kitchen, where Iyanna pulled out two knives.

Police said Jacobs approached Iyanna, who then charged at Jacobs and stabbed her twice, one time with each of the two knives.

When paramedics arrived, Jacobs was laying on the floor bleeding. She was taken to the hospital and her condition is unknown at this time, though online reports are saying she’s “critical.”

YoungBoy was not at home at the time of the incident, but when he arrived, he was briefly detained by police, most likely as a precautionary measure, before being released.

Iyanna told police Jacobs got physical with her first by pulling her hair outside the house and then running into the kitchen, where the violent confrontation happened.

Iyanna told police she’d never met Jacobs before the incident on Saturday. She was booked for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is currently being held in the Harris County Jail in Houston, Texas.

Raven-Symone & Briana Latrise From “Growing Up Hip Hop” Shade Kiely Williams After She Brought Up Old Rumors About Raven (VIDEO)

Raven-Symone is throwing shade at Kiely Williams after her former Cheetah Girls co-star brought up her name during a recent viral Instagram Live session.

“Yo, Kieley Williams was online, she’s been having my name in her mouth recently,” Raven told Growing Up Hip Hop star Briana Latrise on IG Live.

“Oh, the one with the gap?” Latrise shadily asked for clarification of who Williams is.

Though the two friends shaded Williams for a few minutes, Raven wasn’t too pressed about the situation.

“She had my name in her mouth, but I appreciated it. It was in true Kiely form; she promoted my stuff, while causing drama. I appreciated it.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLEAKXpfIgY

Raven is referring to an IG Live Williams did last week with her fans while in self-isolation at home with her family.

Though the focus was mainly on her issues with her former 3LW members, Williams denied rumors that she got into fights with Raven while filming the Cheetah Girls movies.

She also denied ever threatening to out Raven as a lesbian before the Disney star publicly discussed her sexuality, going on to claim that the rumor was started by Raven’s That’s So Raven co-star, Orlando Brown.

Williams then inadvertently plugged Raven’s new music, speculating that that’s the reason all of the rumors between her and Raven have resurfaced.

Raven appeared on Entertainment Tonight earlier this week to promote her new single, “Spacetruck,” but the Williams video must have been fresh on her mind. Raven was extremely hesitant about a Cheetah Girls reboot.

“I need to talk to the girls first because we need to curate an answer. This can go so sideways on so many levels,” Raven finally admitted after an extended pause and a few side-eyes.

“It’s just, real girl groups have their moments, imagine a fake one,” she laughed off.

Officially putting the beefing rumors with Adrienne Bailon to bed, Raven said that she’d love to work with The Real co-host again.

“Listen, I’m down with Adrienne, whatever Adrienne’s down to do, I’m down. I will work with Adrienne for the rest of my life. She’s awesome sauce.”

“I love everybody in their own ways,” Raven added, referring to Bailon, Williams and the fourth Cheetah Girl, Sabrina Bryan.

But given Williams’ issues with Bailon, a Cheetah Girls reunion or reboot is quite unlikely.

Also during that viral IG Live session, Williams slammed Bailon for “pretending” to be her best friend during their 3LW and Cheetah Girls days.

Bill Withers, the iconic singer-songwriter who wrote and sang a string of soulful hits in the 1970’s, has died from heart complications at the age of 81.

Withers passed away Monday (Mar. 30) in Los Angeles, but his Friday announced the sad news Friday morning, saying in a statement: “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved, devoted husband and father. A solitary man with a heart driven to connect to the world at large, with his poetry and music, he spoke honestly to people and connected them to each other.”

The statement continued: “As private a life as he lived close to intimate family and friends, his music forever belongs to the world. In this difficult time, we pray his music offers comfort and entertainment as fans hold tight to loved ones.”

Withers wrote his first hit, “Ain’t No Sunshine” (1971) when he was 33 years old while working as part of an aircraft assembly line.

“Ain’t No Sunshine” later went on to win Best Rhythm & Blues Song at the 1971 Grammy Awards. Withers would go on to win a total of three Grammys and four nominations.

Man Survives Spanish Flu, Great Depression, WWII & Now COVID-19 Just in Time for His 104th Birthday

In the midst of all the madness surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the world received some much needed good news on Wednesday (Apr. 1).

A WWII veteran who had been diagnosed with the deadly virus has apparently recovered, and just in time to celebrate his 104th birthday.

William Lapschies—a resident at the Edward C. Allworth Oregon Veterans’ Home in Lebanon, Oregon—was diagnosed with coronavirus in March along with 14 other residents, reports indicate.

While two of the affected have since passed away, the resilient Lapschies managed to stave off the virus and has been found symptom-free.

Doctors believe that much of his recovery can be attributed to the fact that he was treated with hydroxychloroquine, a drug typically reserved for Malaria treatments.

However, his son-in-law, Jim Brown, believes it also has to do with the type of man Lapschies is, telling reporters that “Bill’s pretty resilient.”

There might be something to that, because in his 100+ years alive, Lapschies has survived a world war, Spanish Flu, the Great Depression, and a couple of recessions.

To celebrate his miraculous recovery, as well as his birthday, close friends and immediate family gathered for a special party, but everyone made sure to remain the recommended 6-feet apart to practice social distancing.

“We’re so thrilled he’s recovered from this, and we just had to do something for him,” Carolee Brown, Lapschies’ daughter, told reporters after surprising her father with balloons and signs outside of his home.

It’s believed that Lapschies is now the oldest person to survive contracting COVID-19, and those closest to him hope that it inspires others and helps them battle the virus that is sweeping the entire world.

“We’re hoping this goes out to all the people out there who are sick and have this problem,” Brown said. “If Bill can survive this at 104, anybody can. Step up, you can do it.”

When asked how he felt about the entire ordeal, Lapschies had a simple response. “I made it,” he said, before adding, “Good for a few more.”

Man Upset Over Losing Job Amid Coronavirus Pandemic “Talked to God” Before Shooting Girlfriend & Killing Himself

One man is dead and a woman is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after an attempted murder-suicide on Tuesday (Mar. 31) in Pennsylvania.

The man, 38-year-old Roderick T. Bliss IV, was apparently distraught over the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that he had recently lost his job. The pressures eventually took their toll, and the man snapped.

He disappeared into the basement of the Northampton County home he shared with his longtime girlfriend, a 43-year-old woman who has not been named. After some time, he returned brandishing a handgun.

According to a released statement, Bliss told the woman: “I already talked to God and I have to do this.”

The woman attempted to escape, but Bliss fired four rounds in her direction with one striking her in the back. He then turned the gun on himself and took his own life.

When officers responded to the scene after multiple reports of shots fired, they found the still conscious woman, who told them that Bliss had shot her, according to reports. She was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital where she underwent surgery.

Incidents like these, as well as other domestic violence issues, are especially problematic as more people are being forced to stay at home during the self-quarantining being implemented to quell the spread of COVID-19.

“We know social isolation can really have devastating impacts on the safety, health, and wellbeing of victims,” said Dr. Amanda Stylianou, a domestic violence expert at Rutgers University, adding that the problem is especially bad “when stress is high and likely to cause more anger and frustration, even in families without abuse.”

Italian Doctor Strangled to Death by Boyfriend Because He Falsely Thought She’d Given Him Coronavirus

An Italian doctor was strangled to death by her nurse boyfriend on Tuesday (Mar. 31) because he thought that she had given him COVID-19, Italian authorities reported. Tests were performed that found neither had contracted the virus.

Antonio De Pace, 28, called police in the early hours of Tuesday to tell police that he had killed his girlfriend, 27-year-old Lorena Quaranta.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they found the deceased Quaranta along with De Pace, who had attempted to kill himself by cutting his wrists.

De Pace was rushed to the very same hospital where both he and Quaranta had worked, and he was subsequently saved by their colleagues.

It was there that he told investigators that he “killed her because she gave me coronavirus.”

Quaranta had recently graduated from the University of Messina and immediately started working at the Italian hospital to help combat the spread of COVID-19 which has hit the European country harder than anywhere else in the world.

The latest reports indicate that there are currently 110,000 confirmed infections with a death toll now rising above 13,000 in the country.

Just days before Quaranta was strangled, she shared an emotional post on Facebook rallying support for the fight against the infectious virus.

“Now more than ever we need to demonstrate responsibility and love for life. You must show respect for yourselves, your families and the country. You must think and remember those that dedicate their lives daily to looking after our sick. Let’s stick together everyone staying at home. Let’s avoid the next one falling sick is a loved one or ourselves.”

Authorities in Italy had asked for people to stay at home to stave off further infections of the virus, and the lockdown was set to end this week.

However, the prime minister has now asked that the order go through at least April 13th as the country continues to see new cases.

YNW Melly Says He Tested Positive for Coronavirus While Awaiting Double Murder Trial in Florida Jail

Incarcerated rapper YNW Melly says he has tested positive for coronavirus as he awaits trial in a South Florida jail.

Melly’s team shared the news via the rapper’s official Instagram page Thursday (Apr. 2), saying that his attorneys will file a motion for restricted release in light of the recent diagnosis “in hopes of better care due to any jails not being prepared to treat this new virus.”

Melly’s team added: “He hopes for your support and to recover soon #prayformelly send positive energy to him please.”

YNW Melly is currently being held in Broward County Jail in Florida after he was arrested in February 2019 and charged in the double murder of his two friends, YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser.

The rapper is accused of shooting and killing the men in a vehicle then staging the scene to look like a drive-by with the help of his friend, YNW Bortlen.

Melly was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, while Bortlen is facing the same charge, as well as two counts of accessory after the fact.

Melly has pleaded not guilty to the charges and faces the death penalty if convicted.

The news of Melly testing positive for coronavirus comes after the Broward County Sheriff’s Office revealed that at least two inmates had contracted the deadly disease.

According to Law.com, one of the unidentified inmates “showed no signs of the disease after arrest and screening in March.”

The Broward Sheriff’s office didn’t provide any details about the second case, simply stating that they tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.

Earlier this week, Melly’s mother, Jamie King, claimed the rapper’s jail release was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

News of Melly contracting coronavirus comes on the same day a judge signed off on Tekashi 6ix9ine’s early release as a result of the pandemic.

6ix9ine will finish his prison sentence on house arrest due to his asthma condition, which puts him at a greater risk if he were to contract the virus.

T.C. Carson Says He Was Fired From “Living Single” After Calling Out Warner Bros. for Favoring “Friends”

It’s been over 20 years since Living Single ended and continues to be a beloved sitcom by the black community and critics. And we now know why one of its main stars abruptly left the show.

In a recent interview with Comedy Hype, T.C. Carson (who portrayed Kyle Barker) revealed that he was fired from the show after voicing concerns on behalf of the entire cast to Warner Bros. and accusing the studio of favoring Friends.

The cast would have concerns about scripts, character development, pay, and other issues.

“We would come to them as a cast but I would be the spokesperson for it,” Carson recalled.

“So, that last season before I left, they called me in and they basically said, ‘Well, all these problems we’ve been having, they listen to you. You’re the person they listen to. So if you said something else, then they would do that.’

“I looked at them and said, ‘Well, first of all, we’re dealing with five grown people, and they have their own mindset and own ideas about what we’re doing. Everything we come to you with is a group decision, not my decision. But if you think I have that much power, then I need to have a different job.’

“I don’t think they liked that.”

Casson and the Living Single cast also felt they were being treated unfairly in favor of Warner Bros.’s other show, Friends, which has long been criticized as a rip-off of Living Single with an all-white cast.

“We were getting less than all around. And then they created Friends and gave them everything. Both shows were Warner Bros. shows on Warner Bros. lots. So, to watch that, to be on our lot and to watch that, was really kind of a slap in the face.”

As the cast spokesperson’s grievances grew, Carson’s character was given a job opportunity in London and written off in the season 4 finale.

Though Warner Bros. had previously told him his job was safe, immediately after the episode aired, Carson received a phone call from his lawyer informing him the studio was not asking him back for the next season.

“I think part of it is, even now, if you’re African-American, you shut your mouth and do your job. Don’t ask questions. Be happy that you have a job,” Carson told Comedy Hype.

“My whole time on Living Single, I was happy I had a job, but I understood the importance of the job I had. I understood the importance of what these characters meant to my community.

“And so, when I come to you with a problem, it’s because of that, not because of ego. They looked at it as ego.”

Carson returned to Living Single the following year for the series finale.

DaBaby Shoots His Shot at Raven-Symone on Instagram Live, But is Disappointed When She Says She’s a Lesbian & His Female Fans Shouldn’t Worry (VIDEO)

The coronavirus self-quarantine has celebrities interacting with each other on social media in ways we’ve never seen before.

Earlier today, while on Instagram Live, DaBaby called up Raven Symone and she actually answered and chopped it up with him for about four minutes about a number of random topics: like the best way to eat an In-N-Out burger, their own personal methods of preventing themselves from getting infected with COVID-19, their respective recently released projects and more.

“Ain’t no MF way, I feel like I’ve officially made it. I’m on [Instagram] Live with That’s So Raven,” DaBaby said excitedly.

At one point, DaBaby started getting a little flirty and hit Raven with the “age ain’t nothing but a number” line. (FYI: DaBaby is 28 and Raven is 34.)

“You ain’t that much older than me,” he said while eating some french fries.

“I ain’t no lil boy,” he joked. “I just got a babyface. I’m just a cutie pie. That’s what people tell me,” he continued, adding that 34 looks good on her.

DaBaby then suggested that their flirty exchange could be making his female followers mad, to which Raven replied: “Oh, they’re fine … Y’all, I’m a lesbian. Y’all can have him, don’t worry.”

Baby then jokingly replied that she’s breaking his heart. “You broke my heart one time in 06 and you won’t do it again,” he told her.

During their exchange, Raven sent DaBaby her address, and while still on IG Live, he pulled up on her to drop her some ice cream off.

“You’re not supposed to be this close to me!” Raven shouted as DaBaby started singing “reunited and it feels so good!”

“Watch I get the corona cause of this one right here,” Raven joked.

After telling Raven not to blame him if she catches “the corona,” DaBaby asked her to make the face she used to make on That’s So Raven whenever she would have a vision, and she happily obliged.

A very entertaining exchange between two people who you never thought would be interacting on Instagram Live.
