J.R. Smith Beats Up “One of These Little MFin White Boys” After Catching Him Vandalizing His Car During L.A. Protests

A guy in Los Angeles picked the wrong car to vandalize during Saturday’s protests in Los Angeles.

TMZ Sports obtained video footage showing NBA star J.R. Smith beating the crap out of a man who allegedly smashed his car window during the city-wide demonstrations protesting police brutality after the killing of George Floyd by Minnesota cops.

The video shows the professional basketball player—who is currently a free agent—violently kicking the man several times in the head.

After delivering a final punch to the man’s face when the guy finally gets to his feet, J.R.’s friends can be seen stepping as the vandalizer runs off.

Before the footage surfaced, Smith took to social media to explain the attack so that people don’t get what happened misconstrued.

“I just want y’all to know right now before you all see this sh** somewhere else,” Smith explained on his Instagram story early Sunday morning (May 31).

“One of these little mothaf***ing white boys didn’t know where he was going and broke my f**king window in my truck. Broke my sh*t.””

The former Cleveland Cavaliers player went on to say that his truck was parked in a residential area and away from stores that were being looted at the time.

He added that he beat the guy up not because he’s white, but because he messed with his truck.

“I chased him down and whooped his a**,” Smith said. “So if the footage come out and y’all see it, I chased him down and whooped his a**. He broke my window. This ain’t no hate crime. He didn’t know whose window he broke and he got his ass whooped”

Dr. Umar Johnson: Why Aren’t White Allies Storming Government Buildings With Rifles to End Racism Like How They Did for COVID-19 Lockdowns?

Dr. Umar Johnson catches a lot of backlash for his radical views, but he is on point with his latest hot take.

Amid protests all over the country (and the world, for that matter) against police brutality after the murder of George Floyd by former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, Dr. Johnson took to Instagram Live Sunday (May 31) and is now going viral for questioning why white people aren’t going all out to end racism like how they were going so hard to end the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Dr. Johnson pointed out that some white people who call themselves allies and are marching alongside Black Americans and people of color during the recent protests were among the same people storming government buildings with guns and demanding state leaders to end coronavirus lockdowns … but for some reason, they don’t have that same energy for ending racism and police brutality against people of color.

“If these white folks who are marching with you care about you so much, why didn’t they storm their Capitols with rifles demanding an end to racism?” Johnson asked.

“Why didn’t they do the same thing they did for COVID quarantine for black life injustice if they care about you so much?

“If they care about you so much, why didn’t they grab their rifles and shotguns and semi-automatics and go to the State Capitol of Pennsylvania, the State Capitol of Michigan, State Capitol of Minnesota, State Capitol of Georgia, the State Capitol of California?

“If they love y’all so much, why didn’t they do for you what they did for COVID quarantine?”

He basically said this is the reason why he hasn’t been seen protesting … because he’s not OK with marching in with “allies” who aren’t really for Black people as much as they say they are.

Take a look below (but be sure ignore the last 20 or so seconds when he goes on a homophobic and misogynistic rant about Black Lives Matter being an “LGBT front” and #MeToo being established to take down heterosexual Black men):

During his IG Live session, Johnson also challenged so-called White allies to protest in their own communities instead of Black communities:

Johnson also stood up for looters, pointing out that America was essentially built on stolen land and starts wars with other countries over resources, so what’s the big deal?

Dr. Umar Johnson can be problematic AF at times (most times, really) but points were definitely made.

“Insecure” Star Kendrick Sampson Beaten by Police, Shot With Rubber Bullets During Peaceful Protest in Los Angeles

Kendrick Sampson is speaking out after he was attacked by police during Saturday’s protests in Los Angeles.

The Insecure star and How to Get Away With Murder actor was among those peacefully protesting police brutality and the recent killing of George Floyd and other Black Americans Saturday (May 30) in L.A. when police fired rubber bullets at him and other demonstrators.

Sampson’s nonprofit organization BLD PWR teamed up with Black Lives Matter to organize a peaceful protest at Pan Pacific Park in West Hollywood Saturday afternoon. When the protest moved to the Fairfax District, that’s when they were confronted by LAPD officers.

Video footage from the protest, which captured during a live CNN broadcast and also by Sampson himself on Instagram Live, shows the actor being hit multiple times by an LAPD officer’s baton. His rep later confirmed that he was also shot seven times with rubber bullets.

Sampson said in a statement Sunday:

“My non-profit initiative BLD PWR and I, in collaboration with Black Lives Matter LA, organized a peaceful demonstration, protesting the brutal killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Kenneth Ross, Jr. and 600+ others killed by police in LA County. [The protest] had two demands 1) Defund Police and 2) Prosecute Killer Cops. I am safe this morning, but the liberation continues tomorrow and beyond. Defund Police.”

“Glad y’all witnessed this. Esp the video of them actually targeting us. He didn’t try to ricochet the bullets of the ground – one tactic – he pointed the gun DIRECTLY AT ME. I actually got hit 7 times with rubber bullets and many with batons. My boy has stitches. #DEFUNDPOLICE,” Sampson said on Twitter after the incident.

He added: “Appreciate the outpouring of support & standing with us but if y’all really want to support, make sure we do EVERYTHING in our POWER to #DEFUNDPOLICE – END THE LEGACY OF SLAVE CATCHING and use those resources, OUR RESOURCES to build BETTER. Make THAT the headlines. Put in WORK.”

White Man Gets Beat Down, Has His Car Set on Fire After Aiming Hunting Bow at Protesters & Shouting “All Lives Matter!”

A white man in Utah who thought it would be a good idea to stand up to a large group of protesters by threatening them with a hunting bow and shouting “all lives matter!” ended up being beaten and having his car torched and flipped over.

Salt Lake City is one of the many places in the United States where people have taken to the streets to protest police brutality, most notably the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police.

A group of protesters had apparently blocked off a road, which caused a man—who later identified himself as Brandon McCormick—to angrily hop out of his vehicle and brandish a hunting bow.

After McCormick was seen aiming the bow at protesters and appearing to fire off a couple of shots while screaming “all lives matter!”, he was swarmed by a mob who beat the crap out of him before flipping his car over and torching it.

Immediately following the well-deserved beating, McCormick went to the first news crew he saw and spouted a bunch of lies, saying that he was beaten up by “two African-Americans” because he said all lives matter and was just trying to protect police with his weapons.

The news station then called him out for lying in a later newscast.

Thank God for camera phones … otherwise, this POS might have gotten away with lying about being attacked by “two African-Americans,” even though we all saw mostly white people beating him up.

Former Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Quotes Tupac After George Floyd Killing: “Pull the Trigga Kill a N***a He’s a Hero”

A former Iran president is going viral on social media after quoting Tupac while speaking out on the police killing of George Floyd.

Yes, you read that right. Outrage over George Floyd’s fatal arrest has spread so far across the world that former Iran president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has taken to social media to express his feelings, and he quoted a Tupac lyric while doing so.

Ahmadinejad took to Twitter Friday (May 29) and said Floyd’s killing earlier in the week was “deeply disturbing” and “upsetting” to him.

He also warned folks that “the scheme of the world powers is to cause disunity in order to keep all societies under control” and said Floyd’s killing was “the result of the current world order which we all must unite against.”

Ahmadinejad ended his tweet—which included a screenshot from the video showing former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin with his knee on Floyd’s neck—with a line from the Tupac song “Changes” that basically sums up police brutality against Black Americans: “Pull the trigger kill a N***a he’s a hero”

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad served as the sixth President of Iran from 2005 to 2013.

Of course, the irony of an Iranian politician calling out police brutality in America (and using the N-Word to do so) hasn’t been lost on social media.

See the responses to Ahmadinejad’s viral tweet below:

HBCU Students Messiah Young & Taniyah Pilgrim Maced & Tazed by Atlanta Police in Violent Arrest Aired on Live TV Amid Protests

A pair of HBCU students were violently arrested by Atlanta police amid protests in the city late Saturday night (May 30), and the whole thing was caught on camera and aired on live television.

Messiah Young, a Morehouse College student, and Taniyah Pilgrim, a student at Spelman, were driving Saturday evening around 9:30 p.m. when APD officers flattened their tires and broke the windows of their car before pepper-spraying and tazing them.

The officers could then be seen yanking the pair out of the vehicle one-by-one and then placing them under arrest.

It isn’t clear whether authorities were enforcing the city’s new 9 p.m. curfew amid protests or if they were just doing what cops do (i.e. attacking black people), which is the whole reason why folks are protesting to begin with.

Spelman College’s Student Government Association released a statement early Sunday morning saying that they were “deeply disturbed by the excessive force that the Atlanta Police Department exercised against” Messiah and Taniyah.

An AUC (Atlanta University Center) protest has reportedly been planned in response to the violent arrests of the HBCU students, and a GoFundMe has been established to help raise bail money for the pair.

Taniyah has reportedly been released, while Messiah remains in police custody.

VIDEO: Dallas Man Viciously Beaten by Protesters After Chasing Them With a Huge Sword

A Dallas man caught the beatdown of a lifetime after he was seen on camera chasing people with a sword amid protests in the city.

According to social media reports, the unidentified man “attempted to defend a shop with a large sword” before looters “beat him with a skateboard and stoned him with medium-sized rocks.”

One video clip shows the violent beatdown, which left the man bloodied on the ground, but it also shows the man actually chasing after protesters with a sword. The footage has more than half a million views.

In a report from TMZ, the man was referred to as a “small business owner” who “dared to defend his store.”

Someone called an ambulance for the man and he was taken to the hospital, where he’s currently in stable condition, TMZ reported.

Dallas was one of many cities across the United States where violent protests erupted amid rising tension with police following the death of George Floyd, the unarmed black man who was killed by now-former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who kneeled on Floyd’s neck for nearly 10 minutes while arresting him for allegedly using a counterfeit $20 bill.

Faith Evans Arrested for Felony Domestic Violence After Allegedly Beating Up Husband Stevie J

Looks like there’s some trouble in paradise going on with #DaJordans.

Faith Evans spent some time in jail last week after getting into a physical altercation with her husband Stevie J.

It isn’t exactly clear when the incident occurred, but TMZ reports that police were called to Faith and Stevie’s Los Angeles-area home sometime last week around 1 a.m.

Faith and Stevie reportedly “got into a heated argument” that turned violent “at some point,” the gossip site reported, citing law enforcement sources.

When cops arrived, they observed “visible marks and scratches” all over Stevie’s face but none on Faith so she was the one who was arrested.

Faith was booked for felony domestic violence and bonded herself out of jail later that day.

The timing of this incident is interesting, considering the fact that around this time last year, breakup rumors were swirling around the couple after they unfollowed each other on social media and posted cryptic messages on Twitter and Instagram.

Stevie posted a series of messages on Twitter saying stuff like “Cherish what you love just knowing nothing will last forever,” “All that glitters ain’t gold,” “Ones insecurities can damage them,” and “Drunk people always speak their truth.”

Meanwhile, Faith posted a quote from Albert Einstein on Instagram that read: “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”

The following week, when a TMZ paparazzo caught up with the couple while they were leaving the Essence Festival in New Orleans and asked them about the breakup rumors, they played them off as if everything was fine.

But you could clearly see something was up, especially when Stevie tried to lean in for a kiss to dispel the rumors, but his wife quickly pulled away after a barely-there peck on the cheek.

Stevie J and Faith Evans got married in a secret wedding ceremony in Las Vegas back in July 2018, just two years after they started dating after knowing each other “for like 25 years,” according to Steve.

Killer Cop Derek Chauvin Reportedly on Suicide Watch & Being Monitored 24/7, Bail Set at $550,000

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis Police Department officer accused of murdering George Floyd, has reportedly been placed on suicide watch.

Citing a source at Ramsey County Jail in St. Paul, Minnesota—where Chauvin is being held on a $550,000 bond—TMZ reports that when Chauvin was brought in late Friday afternoon (May 29) after he was arrested on charges of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, he “didn’t make eye contact with anyone” at the jail.

Chauvin was then reportedly stripped naked and subjected to a body cavity search to check for any hidden contraband. He then put on a jail uniform and was led away to a single jail cell in a special wing of the facility for high-profile inmates.

TMZ’s source says that Chauvin is in isolation and is under 24/7 surveillance via a camera in his cell that records his every move all day and all night and is being watched closely by security guards around the clock. Additionally, he’s being checked on in person every 15 minutes.

One source refused to use the term “suicide watch” to describe Chauvin’s circumstances, however, other law enforcement sources say that’s basically what’s going on at the jail in regards to the former cop.

Sources add that Chauvin will spend at least 23 hours per day in his cell and will be allowed one hour of recreational time in an enclosed area.

He has access to books, pencil, and paper, but not much else, TMZ reports. As for his sleeping situation, he’s got “a bed bolted to the floor with a pillow sewn to it.”

News of Chauvin being under 24/7 watch comes after it was revealed that his bail had been set at $500,000, according to a criminal complaint filed in the 4th Judicial District of Minnesota.

The complaint states that conditions haven’t been set for Chauvin’s release, but he could be released on bond if he’s able to come up with $500,000 in collateral.

Before he was arrested, Chauvin was fired, along with three other MPD cops who were involved in Floyd’s fatal arrest.

On Tuesday (May 29), video footage went viral showing Chauvin with his knee on Floyd’s neck for more than eight minutes in his final moments alive as he told the officers “I can’t breathe.” The man was pronounced dead not long after he paramedics took him to the hospital.

The cops were arrested Floyd after he was accused of using a counterfeit $20 bill at a nearby deli.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, Chauvin had 18 prior complaints filed against him with the department’s internal affairs. Chauvin and the other fired cops also had a history of shooting and beating minorities, the Communities United Against Police Brutality added.

Chauvin’s wife filed for divorce as a result of George Floyd’s killing, which she said “devastated” her.

Video Shows Atlanta Protesters Protecting Waffle House From Being Looted & Destroyed

Things are getting so heated in Atlanta that the Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has called on the National Guard for help.

What started off as a peaceful protest quickly turned to chaos and has left parts of the city in flames.

Protesters angry over the killing of George Floyd by Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin and police brutality in general destroyed the CNN Center and College Football Hall of Fame in downtown Atlanta Friday night (May 29).

Rioters also broke into Phipps Plaza mall and looted stores, including an AT&T retail store across, from Lenox Square Mall.

However, there is one place that protesters in Atlanta refuse to destroy … Waffle House.

Video footage showing protestors standing in front of the Waffle House and protecting it from any harm or damage is going viral.

I mean, protect the Waffle House by any means…

NYPD Cop Calls Female Protester a “Stupid F**king B*tch” & Pushes Her Down to the Ground So Hard She Has a Seizure

The New York Police Department is being criticized for how terribly they are handling the police protests currently taking place in honor of George Floyd.

With protests spreading throughout the country and making their way in big cities like Los Angeles and NYC, police continue to use violence against the very same people they are supposed to protect and serve.

In video footage captured of the protests in New York, an NYPD police officer is seen violently assaulting and shoving a female protestor to the ground.

The officer and other members of the NYPD are then seen walking off, leaving the female protestor on the ground and making no effort to help her.

Witnesses said the cop—who has since been identified as Officer Vincent J. D’ndraia from the 73rd Precinct—called the woman a “stupid f**king b*tch” prior to the aggressive shove.

After the violent incident, the female protestor was taken to the hospital to be treated for a concussion.

The woman later took to Twitter confirming the incident and saying that it caused her to have a seizure after she hit her head after being violently shoved to the ground.

She said she doesn’t understand why the officer assaulted her because she was being peaceful and nonviolent during the protest.

“I wasn’t being aggressive and there was no reason for him to throw me the way he did,” the woman (who goes by the name Dounya Zayer on Twitter) said.

“I can’t stop vomiting and this f**king sucks.”

Meanwhile … other footage of the protests Friday night outside of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn showed police chasing after protesters and beating them with batons and pepper-spraying crowds.

Killer Cop Derek Chauvin’s Wife Files for Divorce, Says She’s “Devastated” by George Floyd’s Death

The wife of the former Minneapolis police officer who was arrested for the murder of George Floyd says she’s “devastated” by the killing and is filing for divorce.

“This evening, I spoke with Kellie Chauvin and her family,” read a statement from Sekula Law Offices Friday evening (May 29) just hours after Chauvin’s arrest.

“She is devastated by Mr. Floyd’s death and her utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving this tragedy. She has filed for dissolution of her marriage to Derek Chauvin.”

The statement continued: “While Ms. Chauvin has no children from her current marriage, she respectfully requests that her children, her elder parents, and her extended family be given safety and privacy during this difficult time.”

Chauvin was with the Minneapolis Police Department for 19 years before he was fired on Tuesday (May 26) after video showed using his knee to pin an unarmed and handcuffed Floyd to the ground for several minutes as the man repeatedly screamed “I can’t breathe!” and begged for his life.

Chauvin was arrested early Friday afternoon and charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in Floyd’s death.

The Chauvins’ house in Oakdale, Minnesota was the scene of protests earlier this week. The couple also have a home in the Windermere area of Orlando, where protesters also gathered.

Kellie Chauvin—an immigrant from the Southeast Asian country of Laos—was crowned Mrs. Minnesota America back in 2018.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press ran a feature on her at the time, and in it, she talked about how she met her husband while working as a radiologist at the Hennepin County Medical Center.

Kellie said Derek came in the hospital with a suspect who needed a health check before an arrest, and after he took the suspect to jail, he came back and asked her out.

“Under all that uniform, he’s just a softie,” Kellie Chauvin said. “He’s such a gentleman. He still opens the door for me, still puts my coat on for me. After my divorce, I had a list of must-haves if I were ever to be in a relationship, and he fit all of them.”

Beyoncé Demands Justice for George Floyd’s Death: “We’re Broken & Disgusted, No More Senseless Killings”

Beyoncé has joined the growing list of celebrities speaking out against the death of George Floyd at the hands of former police officer Derek Chauvin.

In a rare move, the singer took to Instagram Friday night (May 20) and shared a personal video message of her demanding justice for Floyd’s death.

“We need justice for George Floyd. We all witnessed his murder in broad daylight. We’re broken and we’re disgusted. We cannot normalize this pain,” Beyoncé said in the minute-long clip.

“I’m not only speaking to people of color. If you’re white, Black, brown or anything in between, I’m sure you feel hopeless by the racism going on in America right now.”

She continued:  “No more senseless killings of human beings. No more seeing people of color as less than human. We can no longer look away. George is all of our family in humanity. He’s our family because he’s a fellow American.”

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis cop seen on the now-viral video clip kneeling on George Floyd’s neck as the man begged for his life and said “I can’t breathe” has since been arrested for murder in George’s death, but Beyoncé suggested that’s not enough and the battle is far from over.

“There have been too many times that we’ve seen these violent killings and no consequences,” she said. “Yes someone’s been charged, but justice is far from being achieved.”

Beyoncé ended her message asking fans to sign a petition calling for justice for Floyd’s murder.

“Please sign the petition and continue to pray for peace and compassion and healing for our country,” she concluded.

Beyoncé’s call for justice in the wake of George Floyd’s murder comes after the singer honored the man on the homepage of her official website Wednesday (May 27)—two days after the May 25th incident and the day after Chauvin and the other three officers involved in Floyd’s arrest and subsequent death were fired from the Minnesota Police Department.

“Rest in Power George Floyd,” the singer wrote alongside what appears to be a senior yearbook photo of Floyd.

Mugshot Madness: Former Minneapolis Cop Derek Chauvin’s Booking Photo Released After He’s Arrested for George Floyd’s Murder

This is the face of a murderer.

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin’s mugshot was released Friday night (May 29) just hours after the killer cop was arrested for murder in the death of George Floyd.

Minnesota Department of Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington said that Chauvin, 44, of Oakdale, was taken into custody by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension early Friday afternoon around 11:45 a.m.

There had been speculation that Chauvin had fled the state to a home in Florida due to protesters gathering outside his home in Oakdale, however, Harrington said he was arrested in Minneapolis.

Chauvin faces third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges for his role in Floyd’s death. He’s being held in the Ramsey County Jail.

Earlier this week, a video went viral showing Chauvin using his knee to pin Floyd—an unarmed black man who was under arrest for allegedly using a counterfeit $20 bill—down to the ground.

The video goes on for about 10 minutes as Floyd spends the first few minutes begging for his life and saying “I can’t breathe” before he goes unconscious. He was later pronounced dead.

Chauvin and the three other officers directly involved with the fatal arrest—Tou Thao, Thomas Lane and J Alexander Kueng—were fired on Tuesday (May 28), the day after the incident, and the day the footage of the arrest went viral.

So far, Chauvin has been the only one charged in Floyd’s death, however, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said the other three former cops are “under investigation” and he “anticipates” charges for them as well.

“But I’m not going to get into that,” Freeman said. “Today, we’re talking about former officer Chauvin.”

Mayor Jacob Frey called the decision to charge Chauvin for Floyd’s death “an essential first step on a longer road toward justice and healing our city.”

“What’s happened in Minneapolis is bigger than any one city and any single event,” Frey said.

“For our Black community who have, for centuries, been forced to endure injustice in a world simply unwilling to correct or acknowledge it: I know that whatever hope you feel today is tempered with skepticism and a righteous outrage.

“We are a nation at a crossroad, and today’s decision from the County Attorney is an essential first step on a longer road toward justice and healing our city.”

A criminal complaint released Friday afternoon explains what went down on Monday (May 25) when Floyd was killed:

Officers were dispatched to Cup Foods on the report of a man buying merchandise with a counterfeit $20 bill. Shortly after 8 p.m., Officers Thomas Lane and J Alexander Kueng arrived with their body cameras activate and recording.

The officers learned from store workers that the man, later identified as Floyd, was parked in a car around the corner.

Body camera footage shows the officers approaching the car with Lane on the driver’s side and Kueng on the passenger side. Three people were in the car: Floyd, another man and another woman.

As Lane began speaking with Floyd, he pulled out his gun, pointed it at Floyd and ordered him to show his hands. Floyd then put his hands on the steering wheel and Lane holstered his firearm.

Lane then ordered Floyd out of the car and handcuffed him, but Floyd “actively resisted being handcuffed,” the complaint states. Once handcuffed, however, police said Floyd did not resist and walked with Lane to the sidewalk. Floyd then sat on the ground at Lane’s direction.

The complaint says Lane spoke with Floyd for under two minutes, asking Floyd for his identification and name. He also asked Floyd if he was “on anything” and told Floyd he was going to be arrested for passing counterfeit currency.

Then, Lane and Keung stood Floyd up and attempted to take him to their squad car. Floyd then “stiffened up, fell to the ground and told the officers he was claustrophobic,” the complaint states.

That’s when Officers Chauvin and Tou Thao arrived on the scene in a separate squad car.

After making several attempts to get Floyd in the backseat from the driver’s side, the complaint says Floyd wouldn’t get in and would struggle with the officers by intentionally falling down.

The complaint says that Floyd began saying and repeating he could not breathe while standing outside the car. Chauvin then went to the passenger side and tried to get Floyd in from that side, with Lane and Keung assisting.

Chauvin then pulled Floyd out of the passenger side of the car at 8:19 p.m. and Floyd went to the ground face down while still handcuffed.

While Keung and Lane held Floyd’s back and legs, Chauvin “placed his left knee in the area of Mr. Floyd’s head and neck.” Floyd could be heard repeatedly saying “I can’t breathe”, as well as “mama” and “please.” The officers, however, stayed in their positions.

The officers told Floyd, “You are talking fine”, as he continued to struggle. At one point, Lane asked “should we roll him on his side?” To which Chauvin responded, “No, staying put where we got him,” the complaint states.

Lane then said he was “worried about excited delirium or whatever” to which Chauvin responded, “That’s why we have him on his stomach.” They continued holding their positions.

At 8:24 p.m., Floyd stopped moving. Kueng then checked Floyd’s right wrist for a pulse and said “I couldn’t find one.” The officers continued to hold their positions.

At 8:27 p.m., Chauvin removed his knee from Floyd’s neck as medics arrived. Floyd was taken away in the ambulance. He was pronounced dead at Hennepin Healthcare.

A preliminary autopsy report revealed that George Floyd died as a result of “underlying health conditions,” including coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease, and not “traumatic asphyxia or strangulation.”

The report noted that any possible intoxicants in his system also “likely contributed” to Floyd’s death.

The Medical Examiner’s office released a statement saying that they were “awaiting final results from laboratory studies to provide the most medically accurate cause of death determination possible.”

Texas Mom Arrested After Leaving 4 Kids Under the Age of 7, Including Twin Infants, Home Alone While She Got Her Hair Done

Texas mom Gabrielle Robertson has been arrested on several counts of child abandonment after leaving four children alone at home while she got her hair done.

The 28-year-old mother of four has been charged with four counts of child abandonment after leaving her 3-month-old twins and a 1-year-old in the care of her 7-year-old who has special needs for several hours.

Police were called to Robertson’s home and found the four children. Authorities called the mom and confirmed she intentionally left them for a hair appointment.

Despite the call from cops, Robertson still did not return home for another full hour, most likely after her hair was done.

All four children are currently in the custody of Child Protection Services while the investigation into the matter continues.

Following the closure of non-essential businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic for several weeks, Texas reopened beauty salons and barbershops on May 8th.

It’s clear Robertson felt her long-awaited hair appointment was more important than the safety of her four young children.

High School Wrestling Coach Fired Over “Not Dead Yet” Facebook Post Mocking George Floyd’s Murder Says He’s “Not a Racist Man”

A wrestling coach at the Bethel School District in Washington has been fired after a Facebook post that appeared to mock the tragic death of George Floyd that was caught on video earlier this week.

Dave Hollenbeck, who was a first-year wrestling coach at Bethel High School in Spanaway posting a picture of himself smiling as another person pressed their knee into his neck. The imagery is similar to the nature that officer Derek Chauvin killed the unarmed Floyd.

According to reports, in the now-deleted Facebook post, Hollenbeck wrote: “Not dead yet I’m doing this for Are police officers the media is a race baiting machine and I’m tired of it I’m going to speak out every time if you don’t like that I’m sorry but I love ALL people…Wake up America.”

He then followed that up with another grammatically incorrect edit that read: “Not dead yet. This is for all the race baiters and people that don’t What they’re talking about when they’re saying this could kill you.”

The post sparked outrage on social media, with many people taking to Twitter to denounce Hollenbeck’s insensitive comments.

The backlash caused the Bethel School District to perform an investigation into the matter, and on Thursday (May 28), they released the following statement:

“We have completed our investigation. Dave Hollenbeck is no longer employed by the Bethel School District. His behavior was not consistent with our equity initiatives and nondiscrimination policies.”

Despite being fired and receiving so much criticism online, Hollenbeck has come out and defended his position.

He told reporters at KOMO News that, “I’m not a racist man. I don’t have that in me, my children don’t have that in them, I didn’t instill that in them. I’m sorry that I offended anybody, that was not my point. I was trying to show something.”

He also participated in an interview with KIRO 7 Seattle where he doubled down on his stance, saying, “I did not tell any lies. I showed that I was okay from a knee on my neck. That is it…The media was pushing an agenda.”

George Floyd Autopsy Claims He Died From “Underlying Health Conditions,” No Evidence of Strangulation

CNN reports that a preliminary autopsy has revealed that George Floyd didn’t die due to strangulation, despite former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin being seen on video with his knee on the man’s neck as he begged for his life and said: “I can’t breathe.”

Citing a preliminary autopsy conducted by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, a criminal complaint for Chauvin released Friday (May 29) after his arrest stated that Floyd’s underlying health conditions, including coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease, as well as any possible intoxicants in his system “likely contributed to his death.”

The complaint also stated that Chauvin had his knee pressed upon the back Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds in total, and 2 minutes and 53 seconds after Floyd became unresponsive.

The complaint noted that police are trained that this type of restraint with someone in a “prone position is inherently dangerous.”

Floyd’s autopsy also determined that there were “no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation.”

The Medical Examiner’s office also released a statement saying that they were “awaiting final results from laboratory studies to provide the most medically accurate cause of death determination possible.”

The ME’s statement went on to say that “the autopsy alone cannot answer all questions germane to the cause and manner of death, and must be interpreted in the context of the pertinent investigative information and informed by the results of laboratory studies.”

The autopsy was included in the criminal complaint released by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office following Friday’s arrest of Derek Chauvin, who was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter in Floyd’s death.

Chauvin, along with three other officers, was fired from the Minneapolis Police Department Tuesday (May 26) after the video showing Floyd’s fatal arrest went viral.

According to the New York Daily News, George Floyd’s family is currently seeking an independent autopsy.

As attorney Benjamin Crump stated: “We saw in the Eric Garner case and so many other cases where they have these people who work with the city come up with things that are such an illusion.”

Crump added that the family will “have their own autopsy” and are “not going to rely on this DA or this city to tell us the truth.”

Referring to the viral video that led to public outcry and protests over Floyd’s death, Crump noted that “we already saw the truth.”

Protesters Swarm Killer Cop Derek Chauvin’s Florida Home Amid Reports That He Fled Minnesota Following Backlash to George Floyd’s Death

Despite officer Derek Chauvin, who was captured on video earlier this week suffocating the late George Floyd, being arrested for murder, residents in Florida continue to protest outside what is believed to be his vacation home.

The address of Chauvin’s Windermere, Florida residence was posted online with the message, “That is Derek Chauvin’s address,” according to reports. “Don’t let that man eat. Don’t let that man sleep.”

Other users took to Twitter claiming that the fired, and now arrested, officer had fled from Minnesota to his west Orange County home following protests outside of his house in Oakdale, Minnesota against his abuse of power after he killed Floyd—who was not only unarmed but handcuffed and laying on the ground, begging for his life.

Despite the news that Chauvin was actually in custody, protesters continued to stand outside of his home, angry at the fact that it took so long for officials to place the officer under arrest.

They also wanted to stand in solidarity to show their support for Floyd.

The protesters carried signs that say “Justice for George” and “He said I can’t breathe” in reference to some of Floyd’s last words heard in the disturbing video, reporters indicate.

One of the protesters also scrawled “murderer” and “Justice for George Floyd” in chalk on the sidewalk outside of the home.

While one neighbor told reporters that “all hell broke loose,” the protest has been peaceful the entire time.

Despite so many people being present, and emotions being so high, local deputies said, “OCSO has had no issues with anyone on scene,” WFTV reports.

Orange County Sheriff John Mina even came out denouncing the actions of the police officers responsible for Floyd’s death on Twitter.

Meanwhile, in Minnesota, Chauvin has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter, but none of the other three officers have yet to be charged for their involvement in the killing.

Fired Minneapolis Cop Derek Chauvin Arrested for Murder in Death of George Floyd

Derek Chauvin, the White Minneapolis police officer seen on video kneeling on the neck of George Floyd—an unarmed, handcuffed black man who died in custody after saying that he couldn’t breathe—was arrested Friday (May 29).

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said Chauvin was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter after their office gathered enough evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Chauvin was fired on Tuesday (May 26) after the release of cellphone footage that showed him ignoring bystanders’ please to release Floyd, who was heard saying “I can’t breathe” before losing consciousness and later being pronounced dead.

Floyd’s death sparked three nights of increasingly violent protests and riots in Minneapolis and led to the burning of a police station Thursday night (May 28).

Activists and others have demanded that Chauvin be prosecuted as well as the other three officers who were on the scene of Floyd’s arrest Monday for allegedly using a counterfeit $20 bill at a deli.

The other three officers involved were fired as well, but haven’t been charged. Their names are Tou Thao, Thomas Lane, and J. Alexander Kueng.
