NeNe Leakes’ Rep Shoots Down Report She’s Being Forced to Sit Out of RHOA Season 12 Filming, Claims NeNe is Still in Contract Negotiations

NeNe Leakes’ team is doing damage control following a shocking report that the Real Housewives of Atlanta OG was being “forced to sit out” of filming because of a physical altercation with a crew member.

Season 12 of RHOA began filming about two weeks ago. However, NeNe has yet to film with the cast. This led to a recent exclusive report by Love B. Scott alleging that execs had reprimanded NeNe for putting her hands on a cameraman during season 11 by cutting her out of the first half of season 12.

The altercation with the crew member resulted in a hospital visit and him losing a tooth.

However, a rep for NeNe has shot down B. Scott’s reporting. The rep said in a statement:

“I can say with authority that there is absolutely no truth to this. The only reason why she’s not currently shooting is because she is still in active negotiations with her contract.”

It was reported weeks ago that not only had NeNe signed on for season 12 (banking just shy of $3 million), but that she had inked a 3-year deal with Bravo, meaning that she would remain on RHOA for three more years.

Though NeNe is speaking through her reps regarding the matter, she raised eyebrows last week when she posted a cryptic message on Instagram.

“Say what now? Nawww Happiness over everything #byeforever #putsomerespekonmyname,” she wrote.

VIDEO: Wendy Williams Spotted Wearing Her Massive Wedding Ring Amid Ongoing Divorce Drama

Hold up, now!

Wendy Williams has dominated headlines since filing for divorce from her (alleged) cheating husband who (allegedly) got his mistress pregnant. But the “Hot Topics” lady stunned paparazzi when she stepped out wearing her wedding ring.

Williams is currently vacationing in Los Angeles while her show is on a 5-week hiatus.

Last night (June 6), the host had a business dinner with a mystery man at the WeHo hotspot, Craig’s.

As she was leaving the restaurant, paparazzi quickly noticed that she was wearing her gigantic wedding ring.

When asked about the bling, she dramatically flashed it to cameras as she climbed into her chauffeured car.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW7_OG_AFhw

Though Williams is wearing the ring, sources tell TMZ that she has no plans is reconciling with Kevin Hunter. She’s welcomed her newfound single life with open arms and has even joked about the many suitors knocking on her door.

Williams decided to end her 21-year marriage in April and the split has gotten messier ever since.

Police have been called to the ex-couple’s marital home on several occasions and Williams’ son was even arrested after punching his father during a disagreement about his parents’ divorce.

The talk show host is reportedly on the hunt for an exclusive tell-all interview to share her story in her own words and not let it be told through the tabloids.

A source says Gayle King recently turned down the offer, feeling Williams’ personal drama is “too trashy” for morning news.

Ohio Woman Says She Woke Up to a Strange Man in Her Dominican Republic Hotel Room & Had to Fight Him Off

Excuse my French, but what the f**k is going on in the Dominican Republic right now?!

Amid multiple scary reports from the Dominican Republic, an Ohio woman on vacation in the Caribbean island says she woke up to a strange man in her hotel room who didn’t speak English, and she was forced to fight him off to save her life.

Elda Shepherd of Columbus, Ohio explained on Facebook that she’s been staying at the Breathless Resort in Punta Cana since Sunday (Jun 2) “having a blast,” and on Wednesday night, she called down to the front desk so that someone could help her get the hot tub in her room working.

She said the man came in, got the tub working and left, but around 2 a.m. early Thursday morning, while she was sleeping in the nude, she said the guy came back into her room.

Shepherd said the man didn’t speak English, so he used an app on his phone to ask her: “Why are you alone, you don’t want company?” She said she jumped to her feet and told him “One of us has to die, and I’m going home to my kids” as she fought him off.

The intruder then ran out of the room and she quickly hopped on Facebook to update her friends and family about what was going on, and she quickly went viral, with social media users offering any help they could.

Shepherd said she was told by hotel employees that the police station in Punta Cana, DR was only open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but she said they contradicted that information by saying that the guy had already been arrested, which made her question the hotel.

Shepherd also said the hotel tried to bribe her with money after the incident.

Friends and family members on Facebook advised Shepherd not to go anywhere with the hotel staff who came to her room to talk to her more than once, with everyone encouraging her to wait for the U.S. Embassy and police, which she did.

Shepherd said in a later update that she was able to go down to the police station and identify the man in a line-up and she planned on booking a flight home ASAP.

She then went on Facebook Live to let everyone know she was OK and explained in detail what happened the night before, saying that she was scared to death about the ordeal because this was her first time out of the country.

Shepherd wrote in another update via Facebook:

“I thank God I’m not the next story being shared about ‘mysteriously dying’ … I am [GRATEFUL] … Y’all know I’m coming HOME to y’all! I love y’all and I’m super tired. I’m dirty. I’m hungry. I loveeeeee the sh*t out y’all and I will be home. I looked his ass in his eyes and was ready. I’ll be home y’all. The Embassy and group I’m with is bomb.”

Unfortunately, because of the long process she had to go through, Shepherd said she missed her original flight back home and had to stay another night in the Dominican Republic, so she stayed in a friend’s room for the evening.

Around 11:30 a.m. Friday morning (Jun 7), Shepherd provided her final update from DR, saying that she was “in route” to the airport.

After a brief hiccup with her plane ticket, she posted around 12:45 p.m. that she was finally headed home.

Elda Shepherd’s incident in the Dominican Republic comes amid a wave of disturbing reports out of the country regarding American tourists who have died in the popular vacation spot.

In March, a New York couple tragically died after veering off a road into the Caribbean Sea while en route to the airport, and in May, a couple from Maryland were found dead in their hotel room.

Five days before the Maryland couple died, a Pennsylvania woman celebrating her ninth wedding anniversary with her husband suddenly died in their hotel room after she took a drink from the mini bar.

And back in January, a woman was savagely attacked and left for dead at a luxury DR resort by a man wearing a hotel uniform.

Major RHOA Season 12 Shake-Up! NeNe Leakes Forced to Sit Out Half of the Season for Putting Her Hands on a Crew Member (Report)

Shocker! There’s a major shake-up happening on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. NeNe Leakes has reportedly been sidelined for at least half of the season.

Season 12 of the popular show began about two weeks ago. But Lovebscott.com is exclusively reporting that NeNe has been forced to sit out the first half of the season because of an altercation with a crew member during the “Closetgate” fiasco.

During the season 11 reunion, it was revealed that more went down during Closetgate than what aired on TV. Not only did NeNe rip a cameraman’s shirt, but NeNe also but her hands on a crew member which knocked out his tooth and sent him to the hospital.

Via Love B. Scott:

For that reason, in addition to NeNe’s “bad attitude” in dealing with producers and execs behind the scenes, sources tell lovebscott.com that NeNe has been forced to “sit out” for at least the first part of the season — maybe longer — as the ladies begin filming.

The reprimand will hurt NeNe’s pocketbook as well, since she’s paid per episode in which she appears.

It was reported that NeNe would remain the highest paid housewife of the Housewives franchise, earning nearly $3 million for season 12. Now, that salary and title are both in jeopardy.

With NeNe out for the first half of the season, sources tell B. Scott that Bravo is searching for a new housewife with a big name to fill the void. There’s no word yet on who they’re considering.

NeNe has not commented on the report … but she did share this cryptic IG post last Friday (May 31).

Struggle Baltimore Singer Chad Focus Indicted After Stealing $4 Million From the Company Credit Card to Fund His Music Career

There’s nothing wrong with a side hustle, but if you’re spending $4 million to fund your so-called music career and no one has still heard of you, then you’re probably hustling backwards.

Baltimore-based “R&B singer” Chad Focus was apparently holding down a 9-to-5 as a search engine analyst at an undisclosed firm, according to WJZ Baltimore.

But on the side, Chad Arrington, as he’s known legally, was funding a budding music career with the corporate credit card.

Focus bought fake followers on social media, fake views on YouTube, and paid for flights, hotels and audio equipment to fund his fledgling rap career.

https://www.instagram.com/p/ByDs_e9AT_Z/

Via WJZ Baltimore:

An indictment released Tuesday said that Arrington worked as a search engine analyst at a company where he was issued a credit card for business expenses.

Prosecutors believe that between January 2015 and August 2016 Arrington used the company credit card to make $4.1 million in unauthorized purchases.

“He was using that company credit card to make purchases for himself, to enrich himself and his own personal business and his brand,” U.S. Attorney for Maryland Robert Hur said.

Some of the more lavish things Chad Focus splurged on included this billboard in Times Square:

This billboard of him vs himself with sunglasses on:

More billboards:

A bunch of hats that say “FOCUS” on them that no one wants:

Video game apps promoting himself:

And I guess this T-Pain feature:

https://www.instagram.com/p/BrGKukngCsC/

While the scam was cute and all, it’s all come to a crashing halt now that federal prosecutors have caught on to the gag.

He is currently being held in a Baltimore jail and he’s been hit with identity theft and wire fraud charges that could see him facing up to 20 years in prison.

If you’re wondering how Chad got away with this for so long, he was allegedly covering up his tracks by forging signatures approving his expenditures and doctoring his billing statements, according to The Daily Beast.

Arrington’s scheme relied on forged credit card statements to his employer, according to the indictment. He allegedly spent more than $1.5 million in company money at companies controlled by two co-conspirators, who then kicked the money back to him so he could spend it on his music career.

Arrington also allegedly commissioned two other co-conspirators to edit the real credit card statements to fool his employer and forged his supervisor’s signature to make sure the company kept paying his bills.

Arrington left copious records of the fraud scheme, according to prosecutors. Arrington titled one such email to a co-conspirator “Classified Work SHit.” In another email, Arrington purportedly urged his associate to falsify a credit card statement.

“After this clean job we can get to the emojis and have some fun,” Arrington wrote, according to the indictment.

Kanye’s “All Falls Down” seems like the most appropriate theme song to sum up Chad Focus’s house of cards falling in on himself. But who was he fooling? $4 million later and you’re still a nobody?

You ain’t never gonna be the next Chris Brown on a stolen credit card, sir.

The Beyhive Embarrasses Beyoncé With Death Threats to Golden State Warriors Owner’s Wife Nicole Curran for Talking to Jay-Z

When it comes to devoted and overzealous fan bases, there are few out there that can compete with Beyoncé loyalists, otherwise known as the Beyhive.

They have stung and attacked many a celebrity and while sometimes, it’s warranted and funny, more often than not, it’s too much for no good reason.

Case in point: Beyoncé and Jay Z made an appearance courtside for Game 3 of the 2019 NBA Finals, which features the Golden State Warriors vs. the Toronto Raptors.

Nicole Curran is the wife of Warriors owner, Joe Lacob. She was seated next to Bey and Jay at the game and at times, Bey appeared to be disinterested in their conversation. But the Hive really lost it when Nicole reached over Bey to have a conversation with Jay.

Queen B had been DISRESPECTED in the eyes of her honey bees. Which led to the signature bee emoji swarming on Nicole’s Instagram page:

As tends to happen with the Hive, particularly the YOUNGER members of the Hive, things got out of pocket in Nicole’s comments section, with the basketball wife claiming that she was told by several Hive members to “kill herself.”

Rightfully, Nicole wondered out loud if Queen B would actually support this kind of aggression and behavior.

Most sensible people could conclude that Beyoncé probably wouldn’t want her fans sending death threats over social media just because a rich, white woman made small talk with her and husband.

If you’re really curious about the details, Curran claims she was just asking the couple what they wanted to drink.

And after receiving death threats throughout the night and early morning from overzealous Beyhivers via social media, Curran was “in tears,” according to ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne, and deleted her Instagram account.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé is too classy to address her fan base’s ratchet behavior herself, so she sent out her PR rep, Yvette Noel Schure to do her light work for her and inform the Hive that they needed to SIMMER DOWN a bit and chill with the social media drive-bys, cause the Queen was NOT pleased.

Now the question is … will the Beyhive actually listen? Or is it gonna take a bit more than a stern Instagram post from Beyoncé’s publicist to break the bad behavior?

Surprise! “Basketball Wives” Star Tami Roman Secretly Married Her Longtime Boyfriend Reggie Youngblood in Las Vegas

Tami Roman said she would never get married again, but as “they” always say, never say never … because she’s officially a wife for the second time after secretly tying the knot with her longtime boyfriend in Las Vegas.

According to The Blast, Roman and her boyfriend of the past six years, Reggie Youngblood, have been married since last August.

The couple reportedly obtained a marriage license on August 17th, 2018 and got married not long after that.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BxrbGsBhxsq/

If you’re surprised by the news, you’re not alone.

While the couple has documented their relationship on VH1’s Basketball Wives and WeTV’s Marriage Boot Camp (back in season 5 of the show that featured all reality stars), neither Tami, 49, nor Reggie, 32, have addressed their marital status on social media.

One day before the couple’s top-secret Las Vegas wedding ceremony, however, Tami shared a cryptic message on Instagram that makes a lot more sense today.

“The bravest thing I’ve ever done is learn to stand still and let God MOVE,” she wrote on August 16th, 2018.

Tami was previously married to NBA star Kenny Anderson from 1994 until their divorce in 2001 and they share two daughters together.

Roman will return to the next season of Basketball Wives, which returns on June 19th, and will also feature longtime cast members Shaunie O’Neal, Jackie Christie, Evelyn Lozada, Malaysia Pargo and Jennifer Williams.

As for whether or not Tami and Reggie’s secret marriage will be addressed on Basketball Wives Season 8, looks like we’ll just have to tune in and find out!

Apollo Nida Spotted for the First Time Since Early Prison Release, Fiancée Visits Him at Halfway House

After five years behind bars, Apollo Nida is out on the loose and is already strolling the streets … with his fiancée.

It was confirmed yesterday (Jun 5) that Apollo was released from prison a few years earlier than expected and transported to a halfway house in Philadelphia.

The Blast obtained the very first photos of Apollo since his release. The photos show a bearded Apollo wearing a white shirt paired with fitted slacks and looking happy to be free.

https://www.instagram.com/p/ByTKzw3psLK/

He was accompanied by his fiancée Sherien Almufti as he opened the doors of the halfway house to let her in. The couple is also seen walking hand-in-hand walking down the Philadelphia streets.

Going to prison in 2014, Apollo was unexpectedly released this week after serving five years of an initial 8-year-sentence for identity theft and fraud.

The sentence was reduced to seven years back in March. It’s unclear why he was released earlier than planned.

The former Real Housewives of Atlanta husband must remain in the halfway house until at least October 15, 2019.

Arkansas Woman Arrested After Kidnapping & Beating Up Her Ex-Boyfriend’s New Girlfriend on Facebook Live

Offset and Cardi B weren’t kidding when they said “they do anything for clout,” because these kids today literally do ANYTHING for a little attention on social media.

Police in Camden, Arkansas are investigating an incident in which a woman kidnapped her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend, forced her into a car, then savagely beat her, all while streaming the whole thing on Facebook Live and implicating herself in the process.

20-year-old Dhasia Wade and her friend and accomplice, 18-year-old Takira Burnell—who joined in on the beating and also appeared to be holding the camera during the live stream—were arrested Sunday (Jun 2) and hit with a number of felony charges, including kidnapping, battery, aggravated assault, robbery, theft of property and residential burglary.

Dhasia Wade, 20, and Takira Burnell, 18, were arrested for kidnapping and assault, among many other charges.

According to Camden News, police were dispatched to a residence Sunday in response to a burglary report stating that Wade had kicked in the door of a home and kidnapped a woman named Desaray Clarke.

Clarke told police she heard a loud bang at the front door and two black females, later identified as Wade and Burnell, came in and attacked her.

Clarke said the two women punched her in the head and face multiple times, and she also claims she was hit in the head multiple times with the hilt of a fixed-blade knife Wade was carrying.

Clarke said Wade then dragged her outside the residence by her hair, and the two girls dragged her down the street and threw her into a car, as seen in the videos below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VelF8-iANbM

She said the women drove her around and put her on Facebook Live, saying that they had kidnapped her and were going to “kill her and take her back to where she was from.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6WsF2lCaAY

Wade can be heard in the video above screaming at Clarke to “say hey!” and “wave!” to the camera. She also aggressively tells her to say “I suck d**k” and “I f**ked her man” and “I’m a hoe,” to which Clarke responds: “I did not f**k your man.”

Clarke’s indifference apparently set Wade off, and she stopped the car and yelled at Clarke to “lie again!” before opening the backseat door and raining on her with a wild barrage of punches as Clarke cries and whimpers.

“Oh she wanna cry now … bitch!” Wade says when she gets back in the driver’s seat and mocks Clarke’s emotional response to being held against her will and assaulted.

Wade then orders Clarke to “say goodbye!” before yelling into the camera “OKAY! KIDNAPPED!”

The video goes on for another two minutes, in which Wade stops the car again to beat Clarke some more and lambasts her for crying, telling her to “shut up!” and saying to her “you wasn’t crying when you was f**king him was you?!”

Clarke said the women eventually stopped at a gas station, and while Wade was inside the store, Clarke said she noticed her boyfriend, Wilson Rogers III, pulling into the parking lot.

Clarke said she jumped out of Wade’s car and into Rogers’, and she said Wade got out and jumped on the hood of Rogers’ car with a knife yelling and screaming.

Clarke told police as she and Rogers drove off, Wade fell off the hood, and they went back home and immediately called 911.

Dhasia Wade and Takira Burnell were taken into police custody at a Day-N-Night convenience store around 12:50 p.m. on Sunday (Jun 2).

Rogers gave police a statement saying that Wade had called him earlier and told him that she needed to meet up at the park.

He said Wade made it sound like it was an emergency, so he followed her up to see what was wrong, and when he got to the park, he said Wade wasn’t there, and he later got a call from her saying that she had Clarke.

Rogers said he just so happened to be driving by the gas station when he saw Wade’s car in the parking lot, so he blocked her in to try and stop her from leaving, and yelled at Clarke to get in his car.

He said Wade ran out of the store, got into her vehicle and tried to leave, so he hit the front tire of her car to stop her, which worked, but then she got angry and jumped on top of his car with a knife yelling and screaming, corroborating Clarke’s story.

Rogers told police that he didn’t purposely throw Wilson off his car, he was just trying to get away from her, and while doing so, she fell off the car.

The report also states that Rogers informed police that Wade had moved out of his home “a couple of months ago.”

According to the incident report, Clarke said Wade had a kitchen knife and threatened to use it on her as she was being dragged to the car and also while she was in the car. She said Wade had put the knife to her throat, which made her afraid to fight back or try to run away at first.

She also said that Wade and Burnell had stolen her cell phone, which is why she wasn’t able to call anyone to let them know what was going on.

More via Camden News:

Another witness that lived on Johnson Street recorded the incident on Snapchat and agreed to let CPD make a recording of the video.

Officers observed Wade and Burnell getting out of their car – which was parked on Carver Street near Stewart Street – and walking toward Clarke’s residence…

Officers observed both Wade and Burnell in the video going inside the home and after a short period of time, both came out of the front door with Wade dragging Clarke by her hair.

Wade stops and hands some items to Burnell, then proceeded to punch Clarke several times in the face yelling at her “Lets go b**” several times, and “move your a” or “I’m going to hit you again.”

Both Wade and Burnell then dragged Clarke down to Carver Street toward their parked car near Stewart, and forced Clarke into the car.

The witness then videoed the front of the house where the door was kicked in. The recording also shows the witness talking to Rogers and telling him of what just happened and stating that Wade and Burnell also had a small kitchen knife with them.

[Camden Police Department Detective Alec Faulkner] reported that when he arrived at the Day-N-Night store, he saw Wade standing near the vacuum stalls next to a blue 1999 Toyota Camry bearing an Arkansas license plate.

[CPD Lieutenant Ben Opelt] was gathering information at [Clarke’s residence] and advised Faulkner to wait for backup before taking any action.

[Officer Jacob VanAssche] provided a description given of Wade’s accomplice – Burnell. Faulkner reported observing that Burnell matched the description provided.

Opelt arrived at the store, and both Wade and Burnell were placed into custody for kidnapping.

The officers searched the vehicle where they located a pink kitchen knife in the side pocket in the front door on the passenger’s side of the car. An inventory was completed, and the vehicle was towed…

Dhasie Wade and Takira Burnell were booked into the Ouachita County jail but have since bonded out, according to online arrest records.

T.I.’s Sister Precious Died From “Cocaine Toxicity,” Which Aggravated Her High Blood Pressure

The official cause of death for T.I.’s sister Precious Harris has been revealed.

According to the Medical Examiner’s report (via TMZ), Precious—whose real name was Antoinette Harris Chapman—had enough cocaine in her system to trigger heart arrhythmia when she crashed her car and later died.

The Fulton County M.E.’s toxicology report was released today, and it states that Precious’s death was caused by “cocaine toxicity which aggravated hypertensive cardiovascular disease (high blood pressure).”

The report also says that Precious’ high blood pressure caused her to have an abnormal heart rhythm that went on long enough that the blood flow to her organs, including her brain, was severely disrupted.

The M.E’s report also points out that Precious had been suffering from a number of other ailments, including chronic lung disease, kidney disease and diabetes.

Precious was involved in a single car crash the morning of Wednesday, February 13th in Atlanta after she fell unconscious and veered off the road before crashing into a telephone pole while driving T.I.’s Dodge Avenger with his grandniece (her granddaughter) Kairi Chapman riding in the passenger seat.

She was rushed to the hospital and immediately put into the ICU, but was never responsive after the accident and died a little over a week later on February 22nd when the family decided to take her off life support.

In the wake of Precious’ hospitalization and her passing, T.I. and his wife Tiny shut down production of their VH1 reality series Friends & Family Hustle so that the family could deal with the situation and grieve privately. Precious was a regular guest on the show.

T.I., who was super close with his big sis, shared a message on Instagram after her passing, writing: “We love you dearly baby girl…”

Precious was 66 years old.

Porsha Williams’ Fiancé Sues Vlogger Tasha K. for “Slanderous Allegations” & Denies Affair with ‘WAGS Atlanta’ Star

Porsha Williams’ fiancé is pulling no punches when it comes to rumors surrounding their relationship. Dennis McKinley has taken legal action against vlogger Tasha K. for reporting he cheated on Porsha.

Tasha K. recently alleged that Dennis cheated on Porsha with WAGS Atlanta star Sincerely Ward. She also claimed Dennis was a compulsive liar, abuser, drug addict, and scam artist.

However, the businessman has denied the rumors and does not appreciate the YouTuber’s “slanderous allegations.” He has retained fellow RHOA husband, Michael Sterling (Eva Marcille’s husband) as his lawyer and is suing Latasha Kebe (aka Tasha K.).

Dennis said in a statement:

“These false and slanderous allegations against me are made solely to damage my reputation, jeopardize my ongoing businesses, and negatively impact my family. My attempts to ignore this slander have only empowered Latasha Kebe (aka Tasha K.) to create more false accusations. I am currently taking legal action—and am currently being represented by Michael T. Sterling of Dreyer Sterling, LLC.”

Sterling confirmed that he is moving forward with the case on Dennis’ behalf.

“I handle legal matters in the court of law, not the court of public opinion and I will take whatever appropriate measures I can to defend Dennis’ good name,” he said.

Sincerely Ward has also issued a statement calling the rumors “bizarre.” Ward says she knows and respects Porsha and claims that she’s never even been in the same room as Dennis McKinley.

“I literally have absolutely no clue [how this rumor started],” she said. “Number one, I know Porsha and I respect Porsha and I would never be involved in this kind of trash. Number two, I’ve never met this guy a day in my life … I don’t know how my name got thrown into it.”

We recently reported on possible issues in Porsha and Dennis’ relationship, which she sparked herself. Porsha noticeably unfollowed Dennis on Instagram in May and has not posted a picture of/with him since May 19th.

She also posted a pic of herself not wearing her engagement ring and posted a cryptic message which read: “Not gonna worry tonight. God had it last time, God has it this time.”

Porsha attempted to quell the rumors by re-following her fiancé. However, her sister Lauren and mother Diane have not done the same after also unfollowing Dennis.

Last week, Porsha also used her baby with Dennis to send a message about her relationship status.

“Mom’s Taken But my Aunt is Cute and Single,” the baby’s onesie read.

Prior to filing the lawsuit against Tasha K., Dennis used social media to curve the rumors.

He used a meme of Raptors fan Drake dodging a Warriors player falling into the crowd. Dennis labeled himself as Drake and the Warriors player as “the bullsh*t.”

Tasha K. stands by her reporting, claiming the information came from a trusted source.

Wendy Williams Rejected by Gayle King for Tell-All Interview Because Her Drama is “Too Trashy” for Morning News

Wendy Williams is shopping networks to do an emotional tell-all interview about her messy divorce and personal life, but the person she wanted most shot her down really quick.

According to the Daily Mail, CBS This Morning host Gayle King reportedly turned down Williams’ request for an interview.

Though no specific reason was given, a source tells the publication King felt Williams’ drama would be too “trashy” for a morning news show.

“[King] turned it down, it’s not clear exactly why but there’s a lot of talk that Gayle thought sitting down with Wendy, dredging over her car crash personal life, might be a little too trashy for morning television.”

It was reported last week that Williams has been reaching out to all the major networks like ABC, CBS, and even Oprah’s OWN for a primetime interview.

She’s willing to open up about her divorce from her cheating husband, her addiction issues, and her son–who was recently arrested for punching his father.

However, networks have not been jumping at the chance to interview the talk show host. The consensus is that execs feel an hour is simply too long.

King was Williams’ first choice due to her explosive interview with R. Kelly. Now that she’s out, Robin Roberts of Good Morning America is reported to be the most interested in chatting with Williams.

PETTY AF: Golden State Warriors Troll Drake at NBA Finals by Playing Pusha T Diss Track

The Golden State Warriors pulled the ultimate petty move tonight by playing Pusha T’s Drake diss track in the Oracle Arena ahead of Golden State’s NBA Finals Game 3 match-up against the Toronto Raptors.

It’s the team’s first game at home and they went all out by trolling Drake, who was a problem on the sidelines during Game 1 when the Raptors defeated the Warriors in their very first Finals appearance.

By Game 2, however, when the Warriors came back and dominated the Raptors on their home court in Toronto, Drake did NOT have that same energy.

With the Warriors and the Raptors tied at 1-1 ahead of Game 3, the first game in the Bay, Golden State decided to remind Drake whose house he was in.

While the team was warming up Wednesday night (Jun 5), Pusha T’s infamous “The Story of Adidon” Drake diss track—the song that revealed to the world (or confirmed, depending on who you ask) that Drake was hiding the fact that he had recently fathered a son with a stripper—played in the background as seen in the video below.

While the move is certainly a petty one, it isn’t completely unwarranted, considering Drake’s antics During Games 1 and 2 in Toronto.

The Warriors kept their foot on Drake’s neck even after winning Game 2 Sunday night (Jun 2), with Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson seen on video as they were headed to the locker room going in on the rapper calling him a “bum ass” and saying that their win over the Raptors was “light work.”

The Warrriors aren’t the only ones in the Bay who have beef with Drake.

A Bay Area-based station announced that they would not be playing Drake’s music for the remainder of the 2019 Finals.

“(We) could not stand on the sidelines and accept Drake showing no love for our Golden State Warriors,” Elroy Smith, KBLX operations and programs director, said of the self-appointed ban. “It is my joy to cease and desist all of Drake’s music on KBLX in support a team that is loved by the Bay Area and around the world. Oh yes, we are proclaiming a 3-peat.”

The Toronto Raptors ended up taking home the first win in Oakland with a 123 to 109 victory over the Warriors in Game 3, putting the Canadian team 2-1 in the series.

Game 4 is Friday (Jun 7) in Oakland.

Pennsylvania Woman Died at the Same Dominican Republic Hotel 5 Days Before Maryland Couple

A Pennsylvania woman who was on vacation with her husband in the Dominican Republic died suddenly in her hotel room, just five days before a Maryland couple was found dead at the same luxury resort in eerily similar circumstances.

According to a family member, 41-year-old Miranda Schaup-Werner—a psychotherapist from Allentown, Pa.—collapsed on May 25th after having a drink from the mini-bar in her room at the all-inclusive Bahía Príncipe Hotel In La Romana.

Miranda was in the country celebrating her ninth wedding anniversary with her husband, Dan Werner, family spokesman Jay McDonald said.

“At one point, she was sitting there happily smiling and taking pictures and the next moment she was in acute pain and called out for Dan and she collapsed,” McDonald told WFMZ. “He was understandably in shock, but the whole thing was just so stunning.”

The paramedics rushed to the room to provide first aid, but Schaup-Werner died in the room.

Five days later, on May 30th, engaged couple Edward Nathaniel Holmes and Cynthia Day were found dead in their hotel room by a resort employee who went in to check on them after they didn’t check out.

Days before their deaths, Holmes shared photos on Facebook of him and Day enjoying their DR vacation. “Boat ride of a lifetime!!!” he captioned one set of photos.

Coincidentally, the three American tourists all checked into the hotel on May 25th—the same day Schaup-Werner died.

The U.S. State Department confirmed Schaup-Werner’s death Tuesday (Jun 4), saying in a statement: “We can confirm the recent deaths of three U.S. citizens in La Romana, the Dominican Republic – Nathaniel Edward Holmes, Cynthia Ann Day, and Miranda Schaup-Werner. We offer our sincerest condolences to the families for their loss. The U.S. Embassy is actively monitoring the investigations by Dominican authorities into these tragic deaths. We stand ready to provide assistance as requested.

“The U.S. Department of State and our embassies and consulates abroad have no greater responsibility than the protection of U.S. citizens overseas. Out of respect to the family during this difficult time, we have no further comment.”

The Bahía Príncipe Hotel also confirmed Schaup’s death via a statement.

“Mrs. Schaup Werner, who was a guest of Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville, was found unresponsive in her room on May 25,” the hotel’s statement said. “Following established protocols, the hotel doctor responded immediately and coordinated her transfer to Hospiten Santo Domingo. Unfortunately, Mrs. Schaup passed away in the room prior.

“In the days that followed, we provided our complete support to Mr. Werner in collaboration with local authorities and the U.S. Embassy. We are deeply saddened by this situation and express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Family members of all three U.S. citizens have questions about their sudden deaths just days apart.

In all three instances, DR authorities said that an autopsy revealed the same apparent cause of death—respiratory failure and pulmonary edema, which is caused by excess fluid in the lungs.

In the case of Holmes and Day, however, the Regional Institute of Forensic Sciences said that further tests would be required.

Police said several pill bottles with high blood pressure medication were found in the Maryland couple’s room, though it wasn’t clear if the bottles had any relevance to their simultaneous deaths.

The Bahía Príncipe Hotel said in a statement to Fox News that Schaup “had suffered from heart conditions in the past” and said that her husband mentioned her previous heart condition during an interview with Dominican authorities.

McDonald said Schaup was diagnosed with inflammation around the heart 15 years ago and had sought treatment for the condition in the past, but was cleared by doctors afterward.

He said he believed the hotel was trying to mislead the public about what caused Schaup’s sudden death, adding that authorities were half-assed when it came to determining what happened.

McDonald said Schaup’s family was shocked by the news of the Maryland couple’s death at the same hotel just five days later also under mysterious circumstances.

“That was beyond coincidence,” he said. “They died five days after, and the cause was determined to be the same, this just puts this whole thing through the stratosphere – something is going on, and we want to know what it is.”

He added: “We also want to know why her death was treated in such a cursory manner.”

McDonald said the family has been in touch with the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic, and they expect Schaup’s body to be brought home to the United States by the end of the week.

“[Daniel] wants his wife’s body home,” McDonald said. “We want [an investigation] to be done domestically.”

The deaths of Miranda Schaup-Werner, Edward Nathaniel Holmes and Cynthia Day came just a couple of months after a car crash in the Dominican Republic killed two other American tourists.

DR police said a car New York couple Orlando Moore and Portia Ravenelle were driving crashed into the Caribbean early one morning in late March, not too long after the pair checked out of their room at the Grand Bahia Principe Cayachoa hotel and left for the airport to catch a flight home.

Fisherman found Ravenelle, 52, seriously injured and she was taken to a hospital, but died on April 4th. 40-year-old Moore’s body was found at sea on March 31st, authorities said.

Dominican Republic police concluded that a deadly combination of alcohol, speeding and dark roads may have contributed to the crash.

In addition to the deaths of the New York couple, the Maryland couple, and the Pennsylvania woman, a woman from Delaware was brutally beaten for hours at the Majestic Elegance resort in Punta Cana and left for dead by a man wearing a resort uniform.

51-year-old Tammy Lawrence-Daley recalled telling her husband that she would be back to their room in five minutes so that she could grab a quick snack, but she ended up going missing for eight hours.

The woman said the resort claimed no responsibility for the attack since she couldn’t identify her attacker “even though he was wearing a uniform with the resort logo and hit me directly in front of the unlocked maintenance room and dragged me down concrete stairs to a basement so that no one could hear or find me.”

Tourism is very important for the Dominican Republic and its coastal resorts are popular with travelers. According to the World Travel & Tourism Council, the tourism industry made up nearly 20% of the country’s economy in 2018 alone.

That year, more than six million tourists traveled to DR, more than any other Caribbean nation, the Caribbean Tourism Organization said, adding that the country attracted more United States tourists (2.2 million) than any other Caribbean country, with Jamaica (1.6 million) and the Bahamas (1.3 million) following right behind.

But those numbers will surely drop this year after five American tourists died in the island country within the same three-month span.

Meanwhile, the State Department has raised the threat level in DR and is urging travelers to be cautious due to the country’s high crime rates.

“Empire” Creator Lee Daniels Confirms Jussie Smollett Will NOT Return for Final Season

Consequences for allegedly staging a hate crime and filing a false police report continue to hit Jussie Smollett. Empire creator Lee Daniels confirms Smollett will NOT appear in the show’s sixth and final season.

Daniels made the announcement on Twitter yesterday (June 4) following a report that stated the Empire writing team was brainstorming ideas with the expectation Smollett would appear in the back half of the 18-episode season.

In April, Fox extended Smollett’s contract option for another season, but stated that there were no plans for his character Jamal Lyons to make an appearance. It was interpreted that Smollett would return once his legal issues were settled and the controversy died down.

The controversy also caused Smollett to be written out of the final two episodes of season five.

A central character since the first episode, Smollett and Empire fans will now not even be able to say goodbye to Jamal in the show’s final season.

Daniels had even stated the character was loosely based on himself.

Though many of his cast members rallied around him and campaigned for his season six return, Variety reports that tensions were high on the set of Empire due to Smollett’s ordeal.

Variety reports:

[P]roduction sources also note tensions were ratcheted up on set between the show’s primarily black cast members, who still believe Smollett is innocent, and the mostly white below-the-line crew, many of whom believe Smollett is guilty.

Smollett’s career downfall is the result of him allegedly staging a homophobic and racially motivated hate crime against himself back in January. Chicago prosecutors believe he paid his two assailants to attack him and arrested him for filing a false police report.

All 16 felony charges against the actor were ultimately dropped, but the city of Chicago has still slapped him with $130,000 lawsuit to recoup the funds used to investigate the alleged attack.

Court records regarding the case were released last week, raising even more questions of how Chicago lawmakers handled the situation and Smollett’s involvement. More records are expected to be released in the coming days.

Jussie Smollett maintains his innocence in the matter.

White Devil Linda Fairstein Resigns From Safe Horizon Nonprofit After #CancelLindaFairstein Movement Gains Traction

If you haven’t seen the Netflix limited series When They See Us, then you’re probably wondering who the heck Linda Fairstein is and why anyone is concerned about this bewildered looking white woman.

Well, first off, get to your nearest Netflix app and educate yourself “expeditiously,” in the words of T.I.

Long story short: Linda Fairstein was the lead investigator on a 1980s rape case widely known as the Central Park 5, which involved a bunch of Black and Hispanic boys being accused of raping a white woman who went for a jog in Central Park.

The story is a modern-day Emmett Till case, as the boys professed their innocence, but were illegally coerced and goaded by police and prosecutors to make false statements that implicated each other in the crime.

After a disastrous trial, the boys were sentenced to prison, but in 2002, DNA evidence overturned the case as the real culprit, Matias Reyes, admitted culpability and it was corroborated by the DNA gathered from the victim.

In the limited series, Linda Fairstein is unflinchingly portrayed as a ruthless, vindictive, unwavering hound dog who is determined to find the boys guilty of something, anything, as long as it leads to a conviction. Even if the evidence doesn’t back up the story she and the police department literally make up as they go along.

In 2019, when social justice warriors wield a mighty sword, the Netflix series has reignited fury and outrage around the case which has led to the #CancelLindaFairstein movement.

Well, the #CancelLindaFairstein gang can claim another scalp because Linda Fairstein and her Pinocchio self just resigned from the board of directors of a nonprofit called Safe Horizon, according to TMZ.

Linda Fairstein, a key figure in the wrongful prosecution of the Central Park 5, is facing a new backlash — the nonprofit organization she worked on for nearly 20 years wants her canceled … TMZ has learned.

Ever since Ava DuVernay’s Netflix series, “When They See Us,” debuted over the weekend, Fairstein has been feeling the heat. She was head of the Manhattan D.A.’s Sex Crimes Unit in 1989 when the 5 boys were convicted … and her role in coercing confessions is sparking renewed outrage.

Sources at Safe Horizon — a nonprofit aiding victims of abuse and violent crime in NYC — tell us its staffers are incensed the former prosecutor’s been allowed to remain on the board for so long, considering her checkered past.

The specific statements took shots at the CEO of Safe Horizon for not having her back:

Fairstein has just resigned from her position on the board with Safe Horizon, but also insists she’s the one who’s been done wrong by the Netflix series, “When They See Us.”

Fairstein sent a letter to Safe Horizon saying the program “depicts me, in a fictionalized version of events, in a grossly and maliciously inaccurate manner.”

The NY Post first published details from Fairstein’s letter, in which she said she was leaving Safe Horizon’s board to avoid becoming a “lightning rod to inflict damage on this organization.”

However, she took a parting shot, saying the group’s CEO “declined to meet with me to learn the truths behind the inflammatory and false narrative depicted in a movie.”

She also described the #CancelLindaFairstein movement as a “mob-mentality reaction.”

The resignation from the Safe Horizon board isn’t the only loss Fairstein is facing. She also resigned from the Vassar College Board of Trustees and she’s facing calls for her books to be pulled from Amazon and her publisher.

All I know is that Linda Fairstein better sleep with one eye open for a minute, cause Black Twitter ain’t stepping off of her neck no time soon.

Apollo Nida is (Sorta) Free! Phaedra Parks’ Ex-Husband Released Early from Prison After Serving 5 Years

Apollo Nida has a little something to celebrate today, as his circumstances have somewhat changed. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta husband has been released from prison earlier than expected.

We can confirm that Apollo was released from Fort Dix Correctional Facility in New Jersey today (June 4) after serving five years of his initial eight-year-sentence.

However, Apollo is not exactly “free.” He has been moved to a halfway house in Philadelphia and must stay there until at least October 15th, 2019.

This early release comes after a judge reduced Apollo’s sentence to 84 months (seven years) in March, with an expected release date of August 2020. It’s unclear why he’s being released now.

Apollo was initially sentenced to 96 months (eight years) for identity theft and defrauding millions of dollars from people. He pleaded guilty and went to jail in 2014.

“This defendant participated in a sweeping fraud scheme that exploited many segments of the financial system, including phony claims submitted to federal and state agencies, loans secured by vehicles and even basic identity theft associated with stolen checks,” United States Attorney Sally Yates said in a statement.

Apollo was married to former RHOA star Phaedra Parks from 2009 until they settled their messy divorce in 2017 (while he was still in prison). They share two children, Ayden, 9, and Dylan, 6.

And in 2016, we also reported the he became engaged to a woman named Sherien Almufti (also while he was in prison). Almufti appeared on an episode of Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta and made a brief appearance during season 9 of RHOA.

I’m sure the couple was very happy to hear the good news of Apollo’s release.

Young Thug Reacts to Video of His Underage Daughter Driving a Car: “It’ll Be Handled Expeditiously”

The Internet is in an uproar over video footage showing Young Thug’s daughter behind the wheel of a car.

In the clip posted on social media, Thug’s young daughter is seen barely able to see over the wheel nervously driving down the road. Seconds later, the hands of a woman with yellow fingernails can be seen straightening the wheel for the child.

Since the video’s release, many have responded with a deep concern for the child and her safety, with some even calling out Young Thug.

“I’m almost sure DFCS is gonna see this,” Tyrese wrote under The Shade Room’s post.

“Stupid,” former NBA player Matt Barnes said in response to the video.

“Oh he going to jail,” former Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star Milan Christopher commented on the video.

Young Thug has since responded to the video and claims he had nothing to do with his child driving a car. He also asked for the video to be removed from social media.

“This is very inappropriate and not approved by me, I would never put my kid or anybody else on the street driving a car in danger… and I would love if u guys took it down. I truly understand you’re a blog and your meanings to the internet but I would really love if u took it down,” he wrote under The Shade Room’s post.

He also released another statement via his own IG saying he was out of town when the video was recorded and that he will be handling the situation “expeditiously.”

“Never would I put my child’s life in danger nor anyone else’s life,i am out of town that video is clearly in Atlanta. I am a very safe man, especially when it come down to my kids. I am very smart, last thing I’m looking for is clout/fame I have both. Plus she wouldn’t dare even ask me could she drive a car… But it’ll be handled ‘expeditiously. You people must get smarter than you are to think I’m anywhere near such a thing.”

Sounds like Thug really had no idea about the footage and is pretty upset about it.

Grammy-Winning Jazz Drummer Lawrence “Lo” Leathers Choked & Punched to Death by Girlfriend & Accomplice

A Grammy Award-winning jazz musician was killed in the Bronx over the weekend following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend and another man.

Jazz drummer Lawrence “Lo” Leathers was found dead in the stairwell of his Bronx apartment on Sunday (June 2). He was only 37 years old.

According to authorities, Leathers’ death is the result of a domestic dispute with his live-in girlfriend, Lisa Harris, 41, and a 28-year-old man named Sterling Aguilar.

The couple was allegedly arguing when Aguilar intervened and placed Leathers in a chokehold, breaking bones in the drummer’s neck, while Harris punched Leathers in the head. Leathers died on the scene.

Harris and Aguilar have been charged with first and second-degree manslaughter and criminal negligent homicide.

Born in Michigan, Leathers began playing professionally at 15 and was trained at The Juilliard School. The rising star won two Grammys for his work with Cecile McLorin Salvant in 2015 and 2017.

Fellow musicians honored Leathers at a Jazz club in The Village on Sunday. He had been scheduled to perform at the club the night he died.

“It made you feel good just to be around him…He was always just a warm soul,” one musician told ABC News.

The jazz community was rocked by Leathers’ death, a talent taken too soon.

Via ABC News:

[J]azz musician E.J. Strickland paid homage to Leathers on Instagram, calling him “one of the most musical, swingingest, honest drummers” he knew.

“Whenever I saw him play, I learned a great deal more about accompaniment, feel, & touch. Conversation with him was always a pleasure, as well,” Strickland wrote. “He always gave me a lot to think about. Also, one of the most supportive musicians out here on the scene.”

Vocalist and WBGO radio host Lezlie Harrison told ABC New York station WABC she remembered him as one of her closest friends and “a legend” in the making.

“He was a sought-after drummer. Everybody wanted to work with him. … He played with such feeling,” Harrison said. “I loved playing with him because he did all those pretty things behind me, as a vocalist. … He would certainly be a legend, and I guess that’s what he is now.”

She said he was affectionately known as “our prince” by those closest to him.

“Yeah, he was a prince. Everybody had their way of greeting Lawrence, or him greeting them, with a bow,” Harrison added. “His swing, the way he could keep time and the way he could ride a rhythm. … For a young cat like that, he was pretty bad. And bad meaning excellent.”

You can watch Leathers perform a solo with Cecile McLorin Salvant below:

Black Hotel Worker Calmly Gathers White Woman Who Called Him the N-Word: “It’s Above Me Now, There’s a Best Western Next Door”

A black hotel worker’s interaction with a racist, n-word-using white woman went viral on Twitter yesterday and ended up making the “Best Western” a trending topic Monday morning (Jun 4).

It all started Sunday night when Twitter user Craig NoFridayy (@craignofridayy) posted a video showing him going back and forth with a customer at the hotel where he works in Texas.

The woman doesn’t say the n-word in the video, but the guy mentions a phone call in which she uses the racial slur, which he says gives him grounds to refuse service to her.

“I need to stay here. My mother died,” the woman can be heard begging off camera.

Craig responds: “I understand that but you calling me a f**king n***er.”

The woman then apologized multiple times, but Craig reminded her that she didn’t have that same energy on the phone when she was calling him an “effing n-word.”

He also remained calm and didn’t lose his cool as he got the woman together and told her “it’s above me now,” advised her to try “the Best Western next door” and sent her along her way, becoming a whole Twitter meme in the process.

“It’s above me now” is our new petty passive-aggressive response to people after they get out of pocket and realize they need you later, like N-Word Nancy here.

Oh, and just in case you’re wondering, Craig still has his job, he says, according to the person who is literally above him—his General Manager:
