Wendy Williams Hospitalized After Suffering Mental Breakdown, Was Suicidal & Talking to Herself (Report)

Is Wendy Williams OK?

The talk show host recently announced an extended break from shooting her show from home in order to seek treatment for Graves’ disease.

However, troubling rumors that Williams has actually been hospitalized after suffering a mental breakdown and being suicidal have started to gain traction on blogs and gossip forums.

The reports are quite disturbing and have NOT been confirmed.

However, vlogger Tasha K shared exclusive details on the matter during her recent Unwine with Tasha K YouTube show, even getting emotional and asking for her viewers to pray for Williams.

According to Tasha K., Williams was hospitalized under a different name at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in the neurology ward with her room being heavily guarded by security.

“She does not have her wig on. Her head is shaved in certain sections because they’re monitoring her brain.

“She is talking to herself. She won’t eat. She won’t drink. Barely will sleep. Pacing around. She is losing her mind. She’s suicidal. This is not allegedly, you guys.”

Tasha says Williams’ breakdown was partly caused by her divorce from “the love of her life,” Kevin Hunter, but was exacerbated after her only child, Kevin Hunter Jr., recently stopped talking to her and siding with his father in his parents’ divorce.

Fans of Williams’ show know that she revealed that “Little Kevin” wasn’t quarantining with her in her NYC apartment because he is still in Miami where he attends college.

Tasha K. says she has more information on the sensitive issue and will be reporting it in a four-part series in order to fully explain it to her viewers.

Rumors of Williams’ alleged breakdown and hospitalization have been floating around for a few days.

Following these reports, Williams’ official Instagram account posted a paparazzi pic of Williams walking with a newspaper featuring a photo of the recent police brutality protest, proving it’s a recent photo.

However, some commented on the noticeable bruise on the host’s hand and speculated she recently had an IV attached.

“I needed my stuff before NYC dark. Black lives have ALWAYS mattered. #blacklivesmatter #NYPD #Peace,” the post was captioned.

In mid-May, a spokesperson for The Wendy Williams Show shared that Williams was experiencing “fatigue” due to Graves’ disease complications and was taking a break from remotely filming her show under doctor’s orders.

Again, reports of her breakdown and hospitalization have NOT been confirmed. But mental illness should always be taken seriously and we hope Williams is getting the proper treatment, regardless of the actual issue.

George Floyd’s 6-Year-Old Daughter & Her Mother Demand Justice for His Murder in Emotional Press Conference

George Floyd’s daughter and her mother appeared at a press conference in Minneapolis on Tuesday (Jun. 2) and demanded justice for his brutal and sudden death at the hands of police.

“I’m here for my baby, and I’m here for George, because I want justice for him,” Roxie Washington said through tears while making her first public statement since Floyd’s May 25th killing.

“He was a good man … no matter what anybody thinks, he was good. And this is the proof,” Washington said as her and Floyd’s daughter, Gianna, stood beside her.

“He loved us so much. I want people to know this is what those cops took from me,” Washington added.

Washington said Floyd moved to Minneapolis from Houston in search of better job opportunities so that he could provide for his family.

While in Minneapolis, Floyd found work as a truck driver and a security guard. He was able to send a portion of his income to Houston and remained active in his younger daughter’s life, Washington said.

Floyd, 46, died while in the custody of Minneapolis police, who were arresting him for allegedly using a counterfeit $20 bill at a deli.

While arresting him, now-former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin kept his knee on Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes, killing him, and the video footage of the incident quickly went viral.

Floyd’s death was ruled a homicide by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner and Chauvin was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and third-degree manslaughter, however, the other three officers involved were only fired and have not faced any criminal charges so far.

“At the end of the day, they get to go home and be with their families,” Washington said of the police officers.

“Gianna does not have a father. He will never see her grow up, graduate, he will never walk her down the aisle. If there’s a problem and she needs her dad, she does not have that anymore.”

Washington recalled how excited Floyd was when his daughter was born.

“He was so happy to have her,” she said. “He slept the whole time I was in labor, but when he heard her cry, he woke up. I still have a picture of him waking up and getting his baby. He loved her. He loved her so much.”

Floyd’s longtime friend, former NBA player Stephen Jackson, was also at the press conference and demanded justice as well while questioning why they were having to deal with this situation in the first place.

“Why do we have to see her pain?” Jackson asked, motioning toward Washington. “Why do we have to see a daughter getting raised without her father?

“But you know what? There’s a lot of stuff you [Washington] said that he gon’ miss, that I’m gon’ be there for. I’m gon’ walk her down the aisle. I’m gon’ be there for her. I’m gon’ be there to wipe your tears,” he said.

“Floyd might not be here, but I’m here for her. I’m here to get justice. We gon’ get justice for my brother. We not leaving. We gon’ keep fighting. We gon’ send my brother home in beautiful ways this week, but I’m telling you, we are not leaving.

“We demanded justice. And I’m tired of seeing that. I’m not gon’ see her hurt like that every day. We need justice. We demand it. And some goddamn way we gon’ get it … this sh*t has to stop.”

Floyd’s family has repeatedly called for Chauvin to be charged with first-degree murder and for the other officers involved in his fatal arrest to face murder charges as well.

After the Hennepin County Medical examiner claimed in a preliminary autopsy that underlying health conditions and drug use contributed to Floyd’s death, his family requested a private autopsy that refuted those initial findings and confirmed that Floyd’s death was the result of asphyxia due to neck and back compression.

Tuesday’s press conference with Floyd’s daughter and her mother came hours after the state of Minnesota announced that they’d filed a human rights complaint against the Minnesota Police Department and promised to conduct a full investigation into Floyd’s death.

“The investigation will review MPD’s policies, procedures and practices over the last 10 years to determine whether the department has used systemic discriminatory practices against people of color,” Gov Tim Walz said.

No Charges for “White Supremacist” Bar Owner Who Shot & Killed Black Protester in Omaha

Jacob Gardner, the Nebraska bar owner who some have described as a “White supremacist,” will not face any charges in the shooting death of 22-year-old James Scurlock, a Black man who was killed amid protests in Omaha Saturday night (May 31).

Citing video evidence from the scene, Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said Monday (Jun. 2) that Jake Gardner, the owner of The Hive bar in Omaha’s Old Market district, acted in self-defense when he shot and killed Scurlock outside his place of business.

The footage obtained by investigators showed Gardner’s father pushing young people in the area.

After his father was shoved, Jake rushed to his defense, asking: “Who did that? Who pushed my dad?”

Someone in the video could then be heard saying “he has a gun on him,” in reference to the younger Gardner, before a group of people are seen surrounding Gardner and tackling him to the ground.

Kleine said while Gardner was on the ground, he fired two warner shots, and then Scurlock jumped on top of him, at which point he fired another shot.

Kleiner said Gardner could be heard saying Get off me, get off me, please get off me!” before firing the final shot that struck Scurlock and fatally wounded him.

Gardner was taken into police custody for questioning following the and was released without facing any charges, despite the fact that prosecutors noted he didn’t have an active concealed carry permit.

Kleine said that while he understands the emotions surrounding Scurlock’s death, he has to focus on “justification for use of force,” and said that Gardner thought Scurlock was trying to grab his gun during the scuffle.

“You can’t use deadly force to protect property,” he explained. “Deadly force can only be used if someone is in fear of their own life or serious bodily injury and they don’t feel like they can retreat safely. Even if they are mistaken, if their beliefs have a reasonable basis, it’s justifiable for them to use deadly force…that’s what the law is.”

“It is a senseless death, a loss of a young man’s life, it shouldn’t have happened,” Kleine continued. “We know that emotions are running very high…this decision may not be popular and may cause more people to be upset.

“I would hope that they understand that we’re doing our job to the best of our ability and looking at the evidence and the law. And that’s all we can do.”

Kleine said witnesses and the video from the scene confirmed that Gardner tried to retreat and no racial slurs were used during the confrontation.

“Mr. Gardner as we know now has said I did what I did to defend myself and we find that we can’t disprove that from the evidence that we have,” Kleine said.

On the flip side … social media users have described Gardner as a known “White supremacist” and said the night of the shooting, he was heard calling Black protesters the N-word.

Gardner also described himself in previous media stories as a libertarian, a former Marine, and a volunteer for the Trump campaign in 2016, The Daily Beast reported.

James Scurlock Sr., the victim’s father, has called for an investigation into his son’s death. He also said his son—who was the father of a young daughter—would still be alive today if it weren’t for Gardner’s father.

“I honestly feel that if Mr. Gardner’s dad would’ve kept his hands to himself the incident would’ve never happened in the beginning,” he told KMTV News.

“Once again I ask that we investigate this and I ask my people to stand by me strong but do it peacefully.”

Six Atlanta Cops Facing Multiple Criminal Charges for Using “Excessive Force” While Arresting HBCU Students

L to R: Ivory Streeter, Willie Sauls, Armon Jones, Lonnie Hood Jr., Roland Claud and Mark Gardner

The Atlanta police officers who were seen on live television pepper-spraying, tasering and dragging two black college students from their car during protests in the city are now facing multiple criminal charges.

The Fulton County District Attorney announced Tuesday (Jun 2) that six Atlanta Police Department officers were charged for using excessive force during the violent arrests of Messiah Young and Taniyah Pilgrim Saturday night.

Two of the officers—investigators Ivory Streeter and Mark Gardner—were fired earlier this week as a result of the incident after bodycam footage confirmed their use of excessive force, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said.

Streeter was also charged with aggravated assault for tasering Young and pointing a gun at him, while Gardner is facing the same charge for tasering Pilgrim.

Officers Lonnie Hood and Willie Sauls were also slapped with aggravated assault charges for their roles in the incident. Hood reportedly used a taser on both Pilgrim and Young, while Sauls pointed his at the students.

Another APD officer, Armond Jones, was charged with aggravated battery for forcefully throwing Young to the ground and pointing a gun at him.

The sixth cop, Roland Claud, was charged with criminal damage to property for smashing the couples’ car window.

Messiah Young and Taniyah Pilgrim took part in a press conference Monday (Jun 1), in which Pilgrim said that she and Young feared for their lives during the incident.

“I still can’t even process what happened,” Pilgrim said. “We felt like we were going to die in that car.”

She added in a press conference Tuesday after the officers’ charges were announced: “I’m so happy that they’re being held accountable for their actions, there was not one justifiable thing that they did. I hope they are all held accountable because it’s not OK.”

Young, 22, of Chicago, is a rising senior at Morehouse College, where he’s studying business management.

Pilgrim, 20—from San Antonio, Texas—is a psychology major at Spelman College.

Both schools are historically black colleges near downtown Atlanta and a part of the Atlanta University Center (aka AUC).

Lawyers representing the pair said they were out getting a bite to eat Saturday night when they got caught up in traffic around 9:30 p.m. along Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta after a citywide curfew was announced.

Young suffered a fractured arm and required more than 20 stitches as a result of the violent arrest, which he referred to as “one of the hardest things that I’ve ever experienced in my life.”

He added on Tuesday: “I feel a little safer that these monsters are off the street and no longer able to terrorize anyone else from this point on. We just hope there is a change in the police culture.”

All six police officers have been asked to turn themselves in to be booked on the aforementioned charges by the end of Friday, June 5th.

#WendysIsOverParty Trends on Twitter After Wendy’s CEO Donates Over $400K to Trump’s Re-Election Campaign

Wendy’s is facing a ton of backlash on social media after it was revealed that the CEO of a company owning a number of the popular fast-food chain’s franchises has donated over $440,000 to President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign.

Trump hosted in a roundtable discussion with restaurant industry leaders on coronavirus relief efforts for fast food establishments back in May.

James Bodenstedt—the CEO of Muy! Companies, which franchises hundreds of Wendy’s, Taco Bell and Pizza locations across the country—was reportedly the first fast-food franchisee to take part in the discussion.

The White House meeting also took place after Bodenstedt had contributed more than $440,000 to Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign since 2018, the latest being a $200,000 donation to the Trump Victory PAC in March, Business Insider reported.

While the official Twitter account for Wendy’s is usually revered for its epic social media clapbacks, fans of the restaurant aren’t too happy about the company’s CEO supporting a president who doesn’t value Black lives, and the hashtag #WendysIsOverParty began trending in support of boycotting the fast-food chain Tuesday morning (Jun 2).

It’s also worth noting that several other restaurant heads have also shown their support of Trump by donating to his re-election campaign, including Panera CEO Niren Chaudhary, Jose Cil—the CEO of Burger King and Popeyes’ parent company Restaurant Brands International, Thomas Keller—a fine-dining restaurateur, and Tilman Fertitta—CEO of Landry’s Inc., which owns restaurant brands such as Bubba Gump, Del Frisco’s and Joe’s Crab Shack.

“Twilight” Star Gregory Tyree Boyce & Girlfriend Died of Accidental Fentanyl & Cocaine Overdoses

The cause of death of Twilight actor Gregory Tyree Boyce has been revealed.

Boyce, 30, and his girlfriend, 27-year-old Natalie Adepoju, were both found dead in their Las Vegas condo on May 13th.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office found that both Boyce and Adepoju died of overdoses of fentanyl and cocaine. Their deaths were ruled accidental.

A source previously told E! News how Boyce and Adepoju’s bodies were found.

“Greg’s cousin woke up and noticed that Greg’s car was still at the house. He was worried because Greg was to be in L.A. His cousin went to check on him and found them.”

Eerily, Boyce had predicted a short life due to previous life choices and circumstances.

“At one point I didn’t think I would make it to see 30 years old,” he wrote in December celebrating his 30th birthday.

“Over the years like everyone else I have made mistakes along the way, but today is one of those days I only reflect on the great ones. What a time to be alive. Happy Dirty 30 self! Let’s make the rest of these years your best!!”

Boyce was best known for appearing in the first Twilight film as Tyler Crowley.

He leaves behind a 10-year-old daughter named Alaya. Adepoju also had a young son named Egypt.

Man Who Drove Semi-Truck Through Minneapolis Protesters Dragged Out & Beaten Before Arrest

The man who drove a semi-truck at a high speed through a crowd of protesters in Minneapolis got a pretty healthy dose of street justice before being taken into police custody.

Shocking video footage from the incident showed a crowd of protesters suddenly parting like the red sea as a giant tanker truck barreled towards them.

Once the truck slowed down, protesters started surrounding it and chased it down the street, eventually climbing on top of it and yanking the driver out of the door. The man was quickly surrounded and chaos ensued as he was beaten by protesters.

Police were eventually able to get him out of the crowd and he was immediately placed under arrest.

The man has since been identified as 35-year-old Bogdan Vechirko and he was charged with assault. He’s being held without bail at the Hennepin County Jail pending an investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.

Before Vechirko was taken to jail, he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital, police said.

While there is no footage of the man being attacked, a photo shows him bloodied and surrounded by protesters right after the incident, and his mugshot shows him with a cut on the bridge of his nose.

Minnesota Department of Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington told CBS Minnesota that there were at least 5,000 to 6,000 people on the bridge at the time of the incident, but fortunately, no protesters were injured.

The interstate had been closed prior to the incident, however, officials said Vechirko didn’t drive through the crowd on purpose … he was simply confused when he saw the large crowd of protesters and panicked.

Officials said he apparently was ahead of the road closure and didn’t mean to hurt anyone and even tried to brake.

“We don’t have any information that makes this seem like this was an intentional act,” Harrington said. “It wasn’t that he went around the barricades to get to the protest.”

Ken Advantage, the trucking company Verchicko is an independent contractor for, released a statement saying, in part: “Our hearts go out to all those who are grieving the events of this past week” and they would be cooperating fully with the investigation.

Florida Sheriff Says His County’s Residents “Like Guns” & He Encourages Them to Shoot Looters

A Florida sheriff encouraged residents to open fire on violent looters who try to break into their homes.

During a news briefing on Monday (Jun 1), Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd addressed rumors on social media of riot activity moving towards residential areas and warned would-be agitators that attempting to loot the homes of innocent residents would likely result in them being shot by gun-toting homeowners.

“I would tell them, if you value your life, they probably shouldn’t do that in Polk County,” Sheriff Judd said.

“Because the people of Polk County like guns, they have guns, I encourage them to own guns, and they’re going to be in their homes tonight with their guns loaded.

“And if you try to break into their homes tonight and try to steal, to set fires, I’m highly recommending they blow you back out of the house with their guns. So, leave the community alone.”

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office extended the county’s 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew for another night following days of civil unrest and criminal activity.

“The death of George in Minneapolis at the hands of that police officer was outrageous,” Judd said. “Had that police officer done here what he did there, he would have been locked up in the county jail by sundown.”

“But Minneapolis is not Polk County,” he continued. “And I want to say unequivocally that the community here is unbelievable … But please understand, that if you come here to riot, to loot, to injure people, we’re going to lock you up in the county jail.”

While Judd emphasized his appreciation for peaceful protests, he condemned those who spent the weekend rioting, looting and committing crimes in Floyd’s name.

“All of that ugliness has taken away from what we’re united about,” he said. “We’re united about the conduct that you saw with George [Floyd].”

‘9-1-1’ Actor Ryan Guzman Dragged for Defending Fiancée Using N-Word, Says He Uses Racial Slurs With Friends “All the Time”

While the nation is actively fighting against police brutality and participating in the Black Lives Matter movement, one actor is defending his non-black fiancée’s use of the N-word and admitting he regularly uses racial slurs in the process.

9-1-1 star Ryan Guzman is facing major backlash after he defended the use of the N-word and other racial slurs during an Instagram Live broadcast on Sunday (May 31).

“You telling her that she can’t speak through Twitter to her black friends, that have allowed her to say that back and forth to them, specifically?”

Guzman was speaking in defense of his fiancé, Chrysti Ane, whose tweets from 2011 of her using the n-word recently resurfaced.

Guzman—who is part Mexican—then went on to admit that he and his non-white friends “call each other slurs all the time” privately.

“I have plenty of friends—Black, White, Asian, Indian, whatever they are, Korean—and we make fun of each other’s races all the time. We call each other slurs all the time.

“We don’t get butthurt at all because we know the actual person, we know who each other are. We know that we’re not trying to bring each other down.”

He later clarified that he and his friends clown each other with “stereotypes,” not slurs … as if that made it any better.

Several of Guzman’s 9-1-1 co-stars—which features a diverse cast—condemned his comments and continued attempt to justify using racial slurs and stereotypes.

“[T]here is absolutely no excuse for the use of the n word,” wrote Oliver Stark.

“It belongs to the Black community only and I absolutely don’t agree with it being used by anyone else under any circumstances.”

Rockmond Dunbar retweeted Stark’s post and added:

“As a black man this should go without saying but just to make sure people in the back understand when I say this with my whole chest: I don’t condone the sh*t. I don’t like the sh*t.”

Alisha Hinds also responded when asked about her thoughts on Guzman’s comments.

“There’s legions of learned behaviors that need to be named and neutered so we don’t continue to give life to them,” she said. “May we know & DO BETTER.”

As for her part, Chrysti Ane—who is Brazilian—publicly apologized for using the n-word and says she’s grown since tweeting the slur when she was 16.

“I made tons of black friends, listened to music that used slurs, watched black comedians that freely used the word, and I felt accepted by the black community.

“At the time none of my friends found it offensive, but I must say I also didn’t fully comprehend the WEIGHT of the word. I didn’t comprehend the history, the struggles, the oppression.”

Guzman tried to put the whole situation to bed by posting a link for his followers to contribute to the Black Lives Matter movement in light of the current protests.

“Let me get back to the real topic and help out any way I can to the black community,” he wrote.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore: George Floyd’s Death is on Protesters’ Hands “As Much As” Police

During a press conference hosted by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti Monday (May 31) amid protests in the city, LAPD Chief Michael Moore tried to blame the police killing of George Floyd on protesters who are looting and rioting in the streets.

“Last night … just under 700 arrests. Of that, just under 70 were for looting and burglarizing,” Moore said.

Speaking on the killing of George Floyd while in the custody of Minneapolis police, Moore added: “His death is on their hands, as much as it is on those officers.”

Moore later clarified that he didn’t mean to blame George Floyd’s death on rioters, saying that he “misspoke.”

“I misspoke when I said his blood was on their hands, but certainly their actions do not serve the enormity of his loss,” Moore said.

“What his name should stand for is the catalyst for change. I regret the remarks of that characterization, but I don’t regret, nor will I apologize to those out there creating destruction. His memory deserves better.”

“His death was at the hands of those police officers,” Moore added. “What I saw there wasn’t right.”

“We must turn a corner,” Moore pleaded. “We are efforting to support and make sure people’s voices are heard … that you can’t hear because of the violence.”

Black BBQ Restaurant Owner David McAtee Shot & Killed by Police During Protests in Louisville

David McAtee, a Black restaurant owner in Louisville described as a pillar in the community, was shot and killed by police amid protests in the Kentucky city early Monday morning (Jun 1).

Louisville Metro Police Department and National Guard officers were called to the parking lot near McAtee’s restaurant to disperse a large crowd that gathered in the area late Sunday night.

LMPD Chief Steve Conrad said in a statement that someone in the crowd shot at the police, and the officers “returned fire.”

McAtee’s restaurant, Yaya’s BBQ shack, is located next to the Dino’s Food Mart parking lot where the shooting took place around 12:15 a.m. local time Monday morning.

The shooting happened hours after the city’s temporary 9 p.m. curfew had taken effect as protests and unrest over the police killings of George Floyd and Louisville EMT Breonna Taylor continued for the fourth night in the row.

However, multiple witnesses and family members said there was no need for any type of law enforcement presence at that location because the gathering had nothing to do with the protests that packed city streets over the weekend.

They said the crowd meets in the neighborhood every weekend playing music, and McAtee provided the food.

Witnesses said the crowd panicked when the officers boxed them in, and people started running towards Yaya’s BBQ shack.

When police fired into the crowd, McAtee’s niece was hit, and McAtee died trying to protect her, family members said.

“So (McAtee) reached out to grab her and at that point another fire went off,” David’s nephew, Marvin McAtee, said. “Then another fire in the rear shoots off and hit him in the chest and he died right there.”

Minutes after the shooting, McAtee’s community rallied around the restaurant, with many of them asking why officers used real bullets instead of rubber bullets, which were used in the upscale Highlands area.

McAtee’s family said he was well known by the community and area policemen, who he often fed without charging them.

“He fed all the policemen,” McAtee’s mother, Odessa Riley, told WAVE 3 News.

“Police would go in there and talk with him and be with him. He fed the police. He fed them free. All he did on the BBQ corner was trying to make a dollar for himself.”

McAtee, described by his mother as a “community pillar,” was also known for cooking at community events across the area’s nine neighborhoods.

“Mr. McAtee would help us with Californian Day for at least 15 years if not longer,” Greg Cotton Jr., who lives in Middletown, Kentucky, told The Courier-Journal.

“He was one of the ones who would donate all his time and all his food, everybody could just come up and take it, and he wouldn’t charge because it was for the neighborhood.”

Louisville Metro Council President David James described McAtee as a personal friend who kept up with what was going on in the community and always offered free food to those in need.

“He’s just a good, decent person,” James said. “He believes in this neighborhood. He loves his city, loves his neighborhood, loves to cook food, loves to keep people happy with his sense of humor. He’s just a great guy.”

McAtee’s mother described the pain of losing a child, especially after just burying another within the same year.

“It’s alright to lose a mother or father. You get hurt by that, too. But when a mother loses her child, a piece of you goes along with that child,” Riley said. “Why? Because you carry that child for nine long months.”

Riley said she buried her “baby daughter on January 22nd,” and “now my baby son has gotten killed.”

“I’m just going through it,” she said.

Gov. Andy Beshear ordered Kentucky State Police to investigate the shooting and Louisville mayor, Reg Fischer, announced that Chief Conrad had been fired after it was discovered following a call for footage of the incident that police had deactivated their body cameras prior to the shooting.

“This type of institutional failure will not be tolerated,” Mayor Fischer said.

The two officers involved in the shooting were identified as Katie Crews and Allen Austin, neither of whom have any prior disciplinary records, LMPD officials said. Austin has been with the department since 2016 and Crews joined in 2018.

George Floyd Had Fentanyl in His System & Died From a Heart Attack, County Medical Examiner Says

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has released its toxicology findings regarding the death of George Floyd, and the report states that Floyd had fentanyl in his system when he was killed, and he died from a heart attack.

According to Floyd’s toxicology report, obtained by TMZ, Floyd experienced “a cardiopulmonary arrest while being restrained by law enforcement.”

In other words, Floyd suffered a heart attack while being arrested, which complicated law enforcement’s efforts to subdue him.

The ME’s report also states that George had fentanyl in his system and they also found signs of recent use of methamphetamine. The report also says his manner of death was homicide.

The results of Floyd’s toxicology report were released just hours after a private autopsy requested by his family showed he died from asphyxia due to neck and back compression … which was the result of Derek Chauvin’s knee on his neck and two more officers on his back.

George Floyd’s Killer Derek Chauvin Transferred to Maximum Security Prison, Gets New Mugshot

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer charged with murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd, has reportedly been transferred to a maximum-security prison.

Chauvin was arrested on charges of second-degree murder and third-degree manslaughter on Friday (May 29) and was originally held at the Ramsey County Jail before being transferred to the Hennepin County Jail Sunday afternoon.

He’s since been moved to Oak Heights prison—a maximum security facility in Stillwater, Minnesota and posed for a new mugshot, which is protocol for transferred inmates.

Per the Minnesota Department of Corrections: “Oak Park Heights is the highest custody level in the Minnesota DOC system. However, the majority of inmates housed here are maximum and close custody, as some of the inmates need a higher level of security.”

DOC Commissioner Paul Schnell said in a news conference late Sunday that high-profile transfers like Chauvin’s are not uncommon, adding that the same thing happened last year at the request of the Hennepin County Sheriff when former Minneapolis cop Mohamed Noor was taken into custody in the killing of Justine Diamond.

Chauvin became the focal point of outrage and days of continued protests all over the country after he was seen on cellphone video kneeling on Floyd’s neck for almost nine minutes while arresting him for allegedly using a counterfeit $20 bill.

The other three officers involved in the fatal arrest were also fired, but have not been charged and remain under investigation.

Attorney Benjamin Crump, who is representing Floyd’s family, said that he believes Chauvin should be charged with first-degree murder.

“We think that he had intent based on, not the one minute, two minute, but over eight minutes, almost nine minutes he kept his knee in a man’s neck that was begging and pleading for breath,” Crump said an interview Sunday.

“George Floyd died because of the knee being shoved into his neck, and he could not breathe.”

Results from a private family autopsy released Monday afternoon (Jun 1) confirmed what we already knew … George Floyd was murdered by police and his cause of death was asphyxia due to neck and back compression.

George Floyd: Private Family Autopsy Confirms He Was Murdered by Police, Died From Asphyxia Due to Neck & Back Compression

An independent autopsy performed on George Floyd has determined that Floyd’s cause of death was “mechanical asphyxia” and his manner of death was homicide.

The findings were announced in a news conference Monday (Jun 1) hosted by Attorney Benjamin Crump, who has been hired to represent Floyd’s family in the ongoing investigation into his killing.

The private exam was conducted at the request of Floyd’s family by famed Medical Examiner Dr. Michael Baden and Dr. Allecia Wilson from the University of Michigan.

“The evidence is consistent with mechanical asphyxia as the cause of death and homicide as the manner of death,” Dr. Wilson said at Monday’s press conference.

“The autopsy shows that Mr. Floyd had no underlying medical problem that caused or contributed to his death,” Baden added.

Baden continued: “He was in good health. The compressive pressure of the neck and back are not seen at autopsy because the pressure is released by the time the body comes to the medical office. It can only be seen while pressure is being applied. In this instance, it is captured on video.”

Baden went on to say that Floyd didn’t respond to CPR or cardiac shock while he was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

“Many people are under the impression that if you can talk, you’re breathing. That’s not true,” Baden said.

“George died because he needed a breath. He needed a breath of air,” family lawyer Benjamin Crump said as he stood alongside the doctors.”

“For George Floyd, the ambulance was his hearse,” Crump said.

“Beyond question, he would be alive today if not for the pressure applied to his neck by fired officer Derek Chauvin and the strain on his body from the two additional officers kneeing him in his back.”

An initial autopsy performed by a Minneapolis Medical Examiner suggested Floyd’s “underlying health conditions” and “any potential intoxicants in his system” caused his death, and there was no evidence of strangulation or “traumatic asphyxia”, which is why Floyd’s family requested a second, independent examination.

The preliminary findings were first revealed in the criminal complaint against former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin. The complaint listed the Floyd’s pre-existing health conditions as coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease.

Floyd, 46, died last Monday (May 25) as a result of being pinned to the ground by three Minneapolis Police Department officers, including Chauvin, who had his knee pressed into the back of Floyd’s neck for more than eight minutes while arresting him for allegedly using a counterfeit $20 bill at a deli.

Chauvin was with the MPD for 19 years before he was fired Tuesday after the video of the fatal arrest went viral.

Chauvin was later arrested and charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

The other three officers involved—Tou Thao (Chauvin’s partner who stood watch), Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kuenghave—have so far not been charged, though Crump and his co-counsel Antonio Romanucci called for immediate criminal charges against them on Monday.

Romanucci called Floyd’s death a “public execution” and said the “deadly force” made “all the officers on the scene criminally liable and without a doubt civilly responsible.”

“A grade school child understands … that if you continue to choke a human being, you will end a life,” Romanucci added.

Joe Jackson’s Granddaughter Stabbed 7 Times by White Woman Who Called Her the N-Word in Possible Hate Crime

The granddaughter of the Jackson family patriarch, Joe Jackson, was viciously attacked and stabbed by a white woman, which she is calling a hate crime.

Yasmine Jackson, 25, revealed on Instagram that she was stabbed seven times by a white woman near her Las Vegas home and her attacker repeatedly called her the N-word.

Yasmine wrote:

“This woman chased me down and started stabbing me. She said it’s because I was a ni**er and that’s all I could hear while I was being stabbed”

Yasmine shared graphic images of her wounds from the attack, which left her face slashed and required several stitches.

“I can’t move my neck at all. I’m scared to be alone,” she continued in her post.

“I asked people to help me because she was stabbing me and nobody helped. Until someone did, actually a few people did & I am thankful for you”

Yasmine’s attacker was originally only charged with felony battery with a deadly weapon. However, Yasmine felt attempted murder and hate crime charges were more appropriate.

The attacker’s charge was later upgraded to attempted murder. A hate crime charge has yet to be filed.

Yasmine’s attack occurs amid an uprising across the nation against police brutality and systemic racism sparked by the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis cop.

“I pray to God that if you have any kind of hatred in your heart towards black people that you heal it. I didn’t deserve this, nobody does,” Yasmine stated in her post.

Yasmine is the late Joe Jackson’s granddaughter.

Her mother is Joh’Vonnie Jackson, a child Joe had outside of her marriage to Katherine Jackson, during a 25-year affair with Cheryl Terrell.

Joh’Vonnie and Yasmine are not close to the Jacksons, but did have a relationship with Joe.

Joh’Vonnie also spoke out against the attack on her daughter on Instagram:

“Look what this Woman did to my daughter @yasminejackson_ she tried to kill my daughter for being Black. My daughter has a good heart and has dedicated her time as a nurse to help others. She did not deserve this! F–k anyone who has enough hate in their heart to want to do this to anyone!”

Floyd Mayweather Offers to Pay For All Four of George Floyd’s Funeral Services

Floyd Mayweather has personally vowed to help George Floyd’s family grieve their loss by offering to pay for four funeral services for Floyd, including a service in his hometown of Houston, Texas.

TMZ reports:

Mayweather is offering to finance all 4 services for Floyd in Houston, Minnesota, Charlotte and another location to be named at a later date.

We’re told Mayweather felt it was the right thing to do after learning Anzel Jennings — CEO of the TMT music label — grew up with George.

Mayweather’s people added … Floyd is just doing what he feels is right in his heart.

It’s unclear if George Floyd’s family has accepted Mayweather’s offer.

George Floyd died in police custody a week ago today after killer cop Derek Chauvin kneeled on the back of his neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds.

Floyd’s death has sparked global protests and calls for all of the cops involved to be criminally charged.

All four officers involved were fired after video showing the fatal arrest went viral, however, Chauvin is the only one who has been arrested for murder so far.

Ivory Streeter & Mark Gardner: Atlanta Cops Fired for Tazing, Macing & Yanking AUC Students Out of Car on Live TV Identified

The two Atlanta Police Department officers who were fired after tazing, macing and yanking two AUC students out of their vehicle in a violent arrest that was aired on live television amid protests in the city have been identified as Ivory Streeter and Mark Gardner.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced the officers’ termination on Sunday (May 31).

Police said they repeatedly tried to stop a car during Saturday night’s protests before it finally pulled over.

Video footage of the moments after, which aired on live TV, showed the officers tazing and pepper-spraying the vehicle’s occupants—two Black college students, Messiah Young and Taniyah Pilgrim—before forcefully dragging them out of the car, throwing them to the ground and placing them under arrest allegedly for violating the city’s 9 p.m. curfew that went into effect earlier in the evening. Reporters claimed that the police also slashed their tires.

Bodycam footage from the two officers revealed that they both discharge their tazers during the violent arrests of Young and Pilgrim and also proved that they used “excessive force,” which Mayor Bottoms denounced in Sunday’s news conference.

“Some time during the night, I saw very disturbing video of two young college students who were in downtown Atlanta yesterday evening,” Bottoms said. “Our officers are working very long hours are under a very high amount of stress, but the use of force is never acceptable.”

Bottoms said a total of five officers were involved in the violent arrest, but after reviewing the footage, two officers were fired and the other three were placed on desk duty.

The fired officers, Ivory and Streeter, were both members of APD’ fugitive unit. Streeter began his career with the department in 2003 and Gardner had been working with the department since 1997.

Earlier Sunday, the presidents of the colleges a part of the Atlanta University Center (AUC) called for an investigation into the arrests.

“While we understand the need to maintain order, the abusive behavior reported to us is completely unacceptable,” AUC officials said.

Officials with Spelman’s Student Government Association said Taniyah Pilgrim is a student at Spelman College and Messiah Young is a recent graduate of Morehouse College.

A GoFundMe page organized by friends immediately after the arrests to pay for bail for Pilgrim and Young has raised more than $160,000.

Both students have since been released from police custody. The Spelman SGA also said Young had an epileptic seizure after he was tazed.

Black Protester Shot to Death Outside Omaha Bar, White Bar Owner & Trump Supporter in Custody Awaiting Charges

A young Black man was shot dead outside a bar in Omaha during the second night of protests in the Nebraska city, and the white bar owner who killed him is reportedly in police custody awaiting charges.

Omaha police said officers heard gunshots around 11 p.m. Saturday night (May 31) in the area of 12th and Harney streets.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found 22-year-old James Scurlock outside a bar suffering from gunshot wounds.

Scurlock was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center, where he died. Video footage of the shooting was posted on social media.

Police confirmed they had a suspect in custody, but didn’t release his name. The suspect was later identified by local news outlets as Jake Gardner, owner of two bars—The Hive and The Gatsby—on the street where the shooting happened.

Gardner described himself in previous media stories as a libertarian, a former Marine, and a volunteer for the Trump campaign in 2016, The Daily Beast reported.

During a news conference Sunday, Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer called the shooting a “terrible incident” and said that the county’s attorney’s office will decide what charges the gunman will face.

“Investigators are in the process of reviewing all collected evidence, video, witness interviews and conferring with the Douglas County Attorney’s office,” police said in a statement.

James Scurlock’s father, who is also named James, said while he wants to see justice for his son (who was a father one of one), he doesn’t want protesters looting or committing violence in his name.

“Last night, I lost a son,” he said Sunday afternoon at the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation Visitors Center (according to the Omaha World-Herald). “My kids lost a brother. His daughter lost a father. … We want them to go to court.”

Hundreds of protesters swarmed Omaha’s downtown area late Saturday night as part of ongoing protests all over America over the killing of George Floyd, a black man who died in the custody of Minneapolis police.

SHOCKING VIDEO: Semi-Truck Speeds Into Crowd of George Floyd Protesters on Minneapolis Highway

Video footage surfaced showing thousands of Minneapolis protesters scattering as the driver of a tanker truck speeds towards the crowd on the highway.

Thousands of Minneapolis residents were peacefully protesting on the I-35W bridge Sunday evening (May 31) when all of a sudden a semi-truck came barreling into the crowd.

After the semi-truck eventually slowed down to a stop, the crowd immediately rushed to swarm the massive vehicle.

Interstates in the city have been closed since 5 p.m. so it’s unclear how the truck was able to get that close to the protesters.

The shocking incident aired live on television as a local news crew covered the rising tension between citizens and the city’s police department after the killing of George Floyd by former Minneapolis Police Department cop Derek Chauvin.

The Minneapolis Department of Public Safety later said on Twitter that the driver was injured and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and it didn’t appear as though any of the protesters were hit by the truck.

Officials said they were working to determine how the truck got onto the interstate.

Atlanta Cops Fired After Video Showed Them Using “Excessive Force” While Arresting HBCU Students

Two Atlanta Police Department officers have been fired after video showed them using “excessive force” while arresting a pair of HBCU students amid protests in the city Saturday night, according to ATL Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.

Mayor Bottoms said during a news conference Sunday (May 30) the firing came after officials reviewed body cam footage, which confirmed “the use of excessive force” in the violent arrest that aired on live television.

Bottoms said five officers in total were involved in the “disturbing” incident, and the other three who weren’t fired have since been on desk duty pending further possible disciplinary action.

Messiah Young, a Morehouse College student, and Taniyah Pilgrim, a student at Spelman, were driving Saturday evening around 9:30 p.m. when APD officers flattened their tires and broke the windows of their car before pepper-spraying and tazing them.

The officers could then be seen yanking the pair out of the vehicle one-by-one and then placing them under arrest.

The arrest was reportedly due to the pair disregarding Atlanta’s 9 p.m. curfew and orders from police.

Atlanta is one of many major U.S. cities that has temporarily imposed a curfew on residents amid growing protests against police brutality following the killing of George Floyd.
