Meet the Hero Soldier Who Carried Children Away From Gunfire in El Paso Walmart Shooting

An off-duty soldier is being hailed as a hero after he saved the lives of several children during Saturday’s mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas.

Army PFC Glendon Oakley Jr., a 22-year-old automated logistical specialist assigned stationed at Fort Bliss, was among the hundreds of customers shopping at the Cielo Vista Mall in El Paso when a gunman opened fire at a nearby Walmart.

At least 20 people were killed and dozens more were wounded in the shooting.

The suspected shooter has been identified as a 21-year-old Dallas man named Patrick Crusius, an apparent Trump supporter who allegedly wrote in an anti-immigrant manifesto that he was against “race mixing.”

Crusius was taken into custody at the scene without incident, police said.

Glendon Oakley—who just came home from a tour in Kuwait about four months ago—says he was shopping at a sporting goods store inside the mall when a young child ran into the store shouting about an active shooter at Walmart.

He said he didn’t believe the kid at first, but when he exited that store and started walking towards the neighboring Foot Locker, that’s when he heard the gunfire with his own ears.

“I got my license to carry so I pulled my gun out,” Oakley told local news station KTSM. “I just started to hide.”

The Foot Locker closed the gates in front of the store’s entrance as a precaution, Oakley said, but terrified shoppers forced their way inside.

Eventually, everyone decided to make a run for the mall exits, and Oakley followed behind as an impromptu rear guard for the group.

As Oakley and the others were running to safety, they came across a group of about a dozen or so children in one of the mall’s open play areas screaming for their parents.

Oakley said he tried to get other fleeing bystanders to help, but none of them would stop.

“I didn’t even think. I just grabbed as many kids as I could and ran five stores down to the exit,” he told Task & Purpose. “We got there and ran into a whole batch of police pointing their guns at us. I wasn’t focused on myself, and I wasn’t focused on my surroundings … I was just focused on those kids.”

Oakley said the police stopped him because he had a weapon, but they let him go after he proved he had the proper permit to carry it.

Despite his military training, Oakley said he was “scared for [his] life,” but he couldn’t help but think about the children first.

“I was worried about those kids, man,” he told KTSM. “I wasn’t even worried about myself.”

Oakley said he wished more people would have helped him save more children.

“I heard four kids died,” he said. “I wish I could have gotten more kids out of there. I wish those guys who ran would have stayed … I just think, what if that was my child? How would I want some other man to react?”

After a pause, he said: “I wish they had some sense of service.”

El Paso Walmart Gunman Identified As 21-Year-Old Trump Supporter Who Was Reportedly Against “Race Mixing”

A 21-year-old Trump supporter who didn’t like “race mixing” has been identified as the El Paso, Texas Walmart shooting suspect.

While police haven’t officially announced the shooter’s identity, The Washington Examiner reported: “a law enforcement source in El Paso told the Washington Examiner that 21-year-old suspect Patrick Crusius from Dallas, Texas, has been taken into custody.”

Police said at least 20 were killed, dozens more were wounded and one person was in custody following a mass shooting Saturday morning (Aug. 3) at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas.

El Paso Police Sergeant Robert Gomez said phone calls started coming in around 10 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time (11 a.m. EST) about an active shooter at the El Paso Walmart, which is located in the area of the Cielo Vista Mall.

Authorities said at least 11 victims were transported to the University Medical Center of El Paso.

Sgt. Gomez said initial reports saying the shooter used a rifle couldn’t be confirmed. He also confirmed that earlier reports of multiple shooters and multiple shooting locations were inaccurate.

Patrick Crusius was first identified as the gunman by Washington Examiner reported Anna Giaritelli, who says she was informed by a law enforcement official.

According to the law enforcement official, Crusius just celebrated his 21st birthday this week.

Social media accounts believed to belong to Crusius were reportedly scrubbed from the internet not long after the attack and his name was released online.

However, several screenshots were posted seemingly showing Crusius in support of President Donald Trump and his infamous border wall.

A manifesto reportedly written by Crusius included anti-immigrant rhetoric with the writer going in-depth about why they’re “against race mixing.”

The writer also criticized both major political parties in the U.S., but also stressed that they support the Republican Party’s immigration policies.

The writer also made references to alleged Christchurch mosque shooter Brenton Tarrant.

The authenticity of the manifesto has yet to be verified, however, the FBI said they were aware of it and are investigating.

United States Warned Sweden of “Negative Consequences” If A$AP Rocky Wasn’t Released From Jail

The United States was ready to go to war over A$AP Rocky. Theoretically, of course.

According to a pair of letters released by the Swedish Prosecution Authority, the U.S. government warned Sweden of “negative consequences” if they didn’t release the rapper from jail.

U.S. Ambassador Robert O’Brien wrote in the letter, dated Wednesday, July 31st:

“The government of the United States of America wants to resolve this case as soon as possible to avoid potentially negative consequences to the U.S.-Swedish bilateral relationship.”

Sweden’s prosecutor-general Petra Lundh responded by denying O’Brien’s requests due to the independence of the Swedish courts.

“No other prosecutor, not even I, may interfere with a specific case or try to affect the prosecutor responsible,” she wrote in a letter dated Thursday, August 1st.

A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was arrested earlier this month and charged with assault over a street fight in Stockholm that involved the rapper and his entourage.

The alleged victim was beaten and kicked by Rocky’s crew, and also suffered cuts and bruises from being knocked down to the ground. He also reportedly suffered a fractured rib and had to get stitches as a result of the June 30th incident.

Rocky shared two videos of the incident on Instagram. The first showed him and his entourage repeatedly asking two young men to stop following them as one complains about his headphones.

The second video showed the alleged victim’s headphones breaking during a brief scuffle before he hits Rocky’s bodyguard with them.

Rocky maintained his innocence in the situation, saying he was acting in self-defense.

The rapper pleaded not guilty Tuesday (Jul. 30), saying he tried to reason with the men and handle the dispute peacefully at first before the brawl erupted.

He was released Friday (Aug. 2) pending an August 14th verdict.

President Donald Trump, who was among the many high-profile figures advocating for Rocky’s release, celebrated the news on Twitter, writing: “It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!”

Jason Mitchell’s “The Chi” Character Brandon Johnson Will Be Killed Off in Season 3

The sad fate of Jason Mitchell’s character on The Chi has been revealed.

We reported back in May that Mitchell had been fired from the Showtime series following multiple allegations of sexual harassment.

Now, it has been revealed that the actor’s character on the show, Brandon Johnson, will be killed off sometime in Season 3.

Gary Levine, Showtime’s co-president of entertainment, spilled the tea Friday (Aug. 2) during the Television Critics Association Press Tour.

“There is a lot of great life in ‘The Chi’ and there’s also death in ‘The Chi’ and that’s how we’ll be dealing with it,” Levine said (via Variety).

Actress Tiffany Boone—who starred alongside Mitchell as his character Brandon’s girlfriend Jerrika—was the first to complain to producers that Mitchell was sexually harassing her.

She said she felt unsafe filming scenes with him, and things reportedly got so bad that she had to bring in her fiancé, Dear White People actor Marque Richardson, to be on set with her whenever she had to work directly with Mitchell.

Other women on the set also reportedly had problems with Mitchell, including other actresses and new showrunner Ayanna Floyd, who joined the show for Season 2.

Floyd said in a statement that “everyone was well aware of [Mitchell’s] behavior,” including creator/executive producer Lena Waithe.

In an interview with “The Breakfast Club” following Mitchell’s firing, Waithe said she was first alerted to the allegations against Mitchell after The Chi‘s first season concluded.

She said sexual harassment training classes were held on set, and she went out of her way to call Mitchell personally to confront him directly over the allegations.

Waithe said that everyone involved handled the situation through HR, and everyone agreed to return for Season 2, however, Mitchell’s questionable behavior continued.

“There was definitely a conversation where I called him and got really real,” she said, adding that the actor never acted inappropriately towards her.

“‘You need to be respectful of any woman on set. You need to be respectful of everybody,’ she said she told Mitchell. “‘Don’t treat any woman differently the way you would treat me.'”

Waithe said she wishes she “would’ve handled the situation differently.”

Mitchell also faced allegations back in 2016, following his breakout role as Eazy-E in the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton. An 18-year-old woman claimed he physically assaulted her during a party at a hotel.

As a result of the latest allegations, not only was Mitchell fired from The Chi, but he was also dropped by his talent agency and management team.

He also lost his starring role alongside Anna Camp in the Netflix movie “Desperado” and was replaced by New Girl actor Lamorne Morris.

On top of that, MTV rescinded his 2019 MTV Movie and TV Awards nomination for the “Best Performance in a Show” category for his work on The Chi. He was the only male nominee in the category.

‘The Wendy Williams Show’ is “Very Likely” to End After Upcoming Season 11, Staff Already Looking for New Jobs

The Wendy Williams Show just wrapped its tumultuous 10th season. And while the show will be back for season 11, it’s likely that it will be the last one.

A source exclusively told Love B. Scott that given Wendy Williams’ personal issues and health concerns, many of the staffers believe it’s time to move on and don’t anticipate the show being renewed past the 2019-2020 season.

“This was an extremely difficult season to get through for the staff and Wendy herself, obviously. With the show’s renewal set to end after the 2019-2020 season, everyone thinks it’s the perfect time to say goodbye move on.

“Wendy has enough going on as it is and honestly no one, including Wendy, is sure she can even make it through season 11. Not to mention, advertisers consider her to be a ‘risk’ due to her unplanned hiatuses and extended breaks. It’s very likely the show won’t be back.”

During what should have been a celebration of the milestone 10th season, the past year has been “hell” as Williams herself described it on the last episode of the season.

The host fractured her shoulder, slurred her words on-camera, had to take an extended two-month-long hiatus due to Graves’ Disease, entered a sober living facility for addiction treatment, and it all culminated in Williams filing for divorce from cheating husband/manager Kevin Hunter, which has all played out in the tabloids.

“This season has been, well, hell for me,” Williams admitted on the season finale. “I appreciate doing this show because it’s my one hour where I get to be fun and forget about stuff,” she continued.

“But through it all, my one joy—aside from my son and my family—is you. I’m not doing this show forever, but I will certainly be back for season 11.”

In addition to B. Scott’s source and Williams’ “not doing the show forever” comment, Page Six is also reporting that some of the Wendy show staffers are already looking for new jobs. A source revealed:

“They are all well aware that all they have is Season 11 left, that’s guaranteed, but until [production company] Debmar-Mercury announces that they are renewing additional seasons beyond the next season, some staff have begun searching for jobs.”

A spokesperson for the show offered a spin, simply stating: “Wendy and her staff are closer than ever.” However, the statement did not mention the show’s future past season 11.

Season 11 of The Wendy Williams Show premieres September 16.

R. Kelly Promises to Stay Away From Young Girls If Judge Puts Him on House Arrest

The never-ending saga of Robert Sylvester Kelly’s court woes in relation to his pedophilia is like a daytime soap opera that you pray will just get canceled and go away, but it keeps on getting renewed season after season.

Last time we checked in with R. Kelly, the feds had scooped him up for sex trafficking and sex with a minor. Most of us thought this was the final countdown for Robert because once the feds get ya, it’s usually a wrap.

But Robert seems to think his old-ass shenanigans, like the dramatic temper tantrum he threw in front of Gayle King, will work to convince the federal judge who already denied his trifling ass bail.

According to The Blast, R. Kelly’s attorneys pleaded on behalf of their client to have the judge reconsider his decision to deny him the opportunity to post bond. He also threw in that he would avoid contact with minors.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Kelly is asking the judge to reconsider the decision denying him bond in his federal case out of the Eastern District of Illinois.

The disgraced singer is trying to argue that he is not a flight risk due to his lack of resources, aka he’s broke.

Kelly’s legal team states, “Mr. Kelly no longer has the money or the entourage he once did to help him in his endeavors.”

The R&B star is willing to submit to electronic monitoring and home incarceration. He offers terms that would include no contact with minors and limited access to the Internet, which his team says will, “make it virtually impossible to attempt to contact any witnesses without being caught.”

I mean, the fact that he’s willingly asking for an ankle bracelet is impressive, but Robert has to realize that after 20 years of getting charged, locked up and tried for having inappropriate contact with minors, it’s gonna take more than just his word to convince a judge that he’s really gonna leave these little girls alone this time.

Caitlyn Jenner Wants to Hire a Surrogate to Have a Baby With Her 22-Year-Old Trans Girlfriend (Report)

While it’s true that the miracles of modern medicine are allowing the elderly to live active, fulfilling lives in ways that were thought impossible in previous generations, it’s also true that some people need to just have a seat and stop doing too much.

Caitlyn Jenner—who is the father of Kendall, Kylie, Brody, Brandon, and Burt Jenner (and his married daughter Cassandra Marino)—is most definitely a person who truly, really needs to have a seat.

In fact, she needs to have several of them. No, I take that back. Give Caitlyn ALL of the seats.

If headlines are to believed, word on the street is that Caitlyn, who is 69 years old, is looking to have a NEW child with her transwoman girlfriend, Sophia Hutchens, according to Closer magazine (via The Daily Mail):

“Caitlyn and Sophia have spoken about starting a family together for the last year or so, and while Caitlyn’s already got ten children, she’s never had the chance to bring a child up in the role of a mother, which she’s always dreamed of doing,” a source told the publication.

The source also claims that Sophia has always wanted to be a mum too, with the pair deciding on getting a surrogate to make their long-held dreams of motherhood come true.

Uhm … so Caitlyn wants to bring a whole ass human being into the world so that she can play house?

Has she ever heard of a Baby Alive? ‘Cause that thing can call her mommy, poop in her diapers and give her most of what she’s looking for if that’s the case.

The Daily Mail astutely points out that in addition to the six biological children and four stepchildren Caitlyn already has, she’s also a grandmother (or grandfather?) of quite the brood too.

The star—who has 14 grandchildren, including North West and Stormi Webster—reportedly had her plans met with “frostiness” from her daughters.

According to the source, they feel that she may be being pressured by her partner, who is almost 50 years younger.

Supposedly, once again, the only one in Caitlyn’s corner is Kim Kardashian West, which isn’t surprising since she too went the surrogacy route.

Reports in Closer also suggest that Caitlyn has turned to step-daughter Kim Kardashian for surrogacy advice.

Kim hired a surrogate to carry her two youngest children Chicago and Psalm.

The source claimed that Kim has been extremely helpful and is the only member of the Kardashian and Jenner clan who has supported Caitlyn’s surrogacy dreams so far.

None of us know what’s really between Caitlyn’s legs these days, but it’s not clear what surrogacy would look like for two transwomen, considering that even if they had gender reassignment surgery done on their genitals, they still wouldn’t have ovaries and eggs to put into a surrogate.

So … maybe it’s more of a straight-up adoption?

I’m tired, confused and I need to Caitlyn to stop playing with all of us and just play mee-maw to True and Dream and stop perplexing us with her shenanigans.

“I Killed My B*tch:” Kidnapping Suspect Raps About Murdering Girlfriend & Burying Her Body at Open Mic Event

A kidnapping investigation quickly turned into a homicide investigation after Los Angeles police were made aware of video footage showing a man accused of kidnapping his missing girlfriend rapping about killing her and burying her body.

KTLA reports that a video filmed early Tuesday morning (Jul. 30) just hours before 27-year-old Monrovia kidnapping suspect Robert Anthony Camou was taken into police custody appears to show him participating in an open mic event at a local bar.

“I killed my b*tch and buried that b*tch in the f**king dirt,” Camou rapped about his girlfriend, 31-year-old Amanda Kathleen Custer, who had been missing since Monday.

He then mumbled a few words about being “out” because the cops are looking for him before walking out of the view of the camera. The people around him were visibly disturbed.

Police said they were aware of the video’s existence and were trying to get ahold of the original footage to make sure it hasn’t been edited.

“We want to make sure it’s unedited,” Deputy Trina Schrader, a spokeswoman for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, told the Los Angeles Times. “If it’s edited, then in court people can poke holes in it.”

The man who recorded the video told reporters he had no idea who he was filming until he saw Camou on TV being arrested the next day.

“At first it was like, did he say that? He said that. And he said it with such force,” Michael R. Moore told KTLA.

Moore said when Camou noticed he was being recorded, he stepped forward and stared straight into the camera. He said everyone in the bar was frozen with shock.

“I think that everyone in the bar that heard him kinda stopped. Time just stopped. And there were some hardcore rappers up in there, and they stopped,” Moore said.

Moore said after walking off the stage, Camou came up to him and asked him where he was going to post the video.

Moore said he told Camou he would be sharing it across all of his social media accounts, and Camou was, oddly, OK with it. “He said that was cool,” Moore said.

Robert Camou became the subject of a kidnapping investigation Monday (Jul. 29) when police found blood in his home in Monrovia after responding to a domestic violence call.

Camou’s girlfriend, Amanda Custer, was nowhere to be found.

Investigators believe Camou assaulted Custer and took her from the home against her will.

A witness told police they saw Camou putting Custer’s limp body in the cargo hatch of his Toyota Prius early Monday morning. It was the last time she was seen alive.

Camou was arrested Tuesday morning following a five-hour standoff in which he remained in the backseat of his vehicle. Police said Camou didn’t exit the vehicle until after they shot tear gas into the car.

Authorities said Camou was scheduled to appear in court the day Custer went missing for charges related to an April 22nd incident, but he never showed up.

He had also previously been charged with four felony counts, including burglary and assault and battery, per court documents filed on May 29th.

At the time Custer went missing, police said Camou was out on bail on domestic violence charges, and the victim in that case is also Amanda Custer (pictured below).

Police said Custer and Camou had been dating for the past two years, and throughout the course of their relationship, there were numerous allegations of domestic violence.

A restraining order filed by Custer back in February reportedly detailed Camou’s alleged obsessive behavior.

“He has made over 100 (phone) numbers to verbally bash me,” Custer said at the time.

She also described an uninvited visit to her home by Camou: “He turned around, came running at my window, and broke my double-pane window with the hatchet.”

Camou remains in police custody without bail on domestic violence charges and an unrelated burglary charge.

Giovanni Doll & Jay Dor: Woman Jumped to Her Death in the Detroit River After Her Girlfriend Died Suddenly

A popular lesbian couple has left family and friends in shock after they died just days apart—one suddenly in her sleep, the other from suicide.

Giovanni Doll a.k.a. GigiBaby and Jay Dor (names they go by on Facebook) were both from Detroit and have the whole social media talking about their sad love story.

Here are some things you need to know:

1Giovanni Doll died suddenly in her sleep.

It was revealed that Giovanni Doll (real name: Renee Williams) died in her sleep this past weekend.

While some online reports claim she died from cancer, apparently that was just a rumor, we were told. Her actual cause of death wasn’t made public, though family sources did say her passing was due to “health complications.”

One of her close friends who goes by Mrz Lawson on Facebook posted about her death and how devastating it was for everyone who knew her.

She wrote:

“#Forever21 Damn This Shyt Crazy Not My Baby Gigi Giovanni Doll Not My Baby Renee Naw Man This Shyt Can’t Be I’m Devastated I’m Hurt I Haven’t Cried Like This Since My Mother Passed Away Like That’s Was Our Bae We Talked Bout Everything N Anything We Was Jus Hangin Wit U On Saturday At #PalmerParkPride U Rode Wit Us N We Had A Good Time Its Always Laughs When We Get Around Eachother Wen U Got Out We Was Jus Having a Deep Good Convo We Was Laughing N Shyt U My B’day Twin Y U Had To Go So Soon Baby Man I Can’t Believe This Shyt True I’M HEARTBROKEN U GON FOREVER B MISSED GIGI BABE.”

Giovanni was loved by her many friends and family and it appears her death was a complete shocker to all who knew her.

2Giovanni and her girlfriend Jay Dor had broken up not long before Giovanni died.

Giovanni and Jay Dor (real name: Jasmine Dortch) had broken up and were not on good terms before she died.

According to posts from Jay Dor’s Facebook page, the two would often fight and call it quits, but always would eventually makeup and get back together.

However, this time was different because Giovanni sadly died before they were able to reconcile.

In one of her Facebook posts, Jay Dor spoke on a text message apparently behind their break-up that she found out was a lie.

She said if she had known the text was a lie, her and Giovanni would have gotten back together.

She also posted another video speaking on their relationship and its many ups and downs. She captioned the video:

“She loved this shit here . Look at that smirk … I HATE WE HAD DOWN MOMENTS MAN IKNOW EVERYONE HAS THEM IN A RELATIONSHIP BUT I ALWAYS JUST WANTED YOU TO FEEL LIKE ME BUT IN THE SAME WAY I WANTED TO JUST LOVE YOU SO MUCH MORE THAN I COULD SHOW TRYNA BE A TOUGH PERSON AINT ALWAYS A GOOD THING NOW IM MISSING YOU SO MUCH.”

In another video Jay Dor shared on her page she wrote: “Fought so much said so much bs to each other it whenever it was said and done we always made up baby.”

3Giovanni’s family did not want to have a candlelight vigil or balloon release in honor of her death.

Jay Dor was planning on having a balloon release on her girlfriend Giovanni’s behalf, but it looks like it was canceled due to Giovanni’s mother’s wishes.

One of Giovanni’s friends, Mrz Lawson, posted a text message thread in which Giovanni’s mother told her she wasn’t having a candlelight vigil or balloon release, but would keep everyone informed on when the funeral was.

Another one of Giovanni’s friends also confirmed this as well.

Before taking her life, Jay Dor spoke on people having an issue with her doing a balloon release for Giovanni and how Giovanni’s mother gave her the approval, but just wouldn’t be in attendance.

4Jay Dor took her own life days after Giovanni died.

Following Giovanni’s death, Jay Dor posted several messages and videos showing how distraught she was over her death and the fact that they were broken up when it happened.

On Monday (Jul. 29), Jay Dor posted a video on her page in which she broke down into tears and spoke on how hard it was for her to deal with Giovanni’s death.

She also spoke on Giovanni helping her get her own house and how she tried to call her days before she died to make amends, but her phone was broken.

Jay Dor continued to post on her page about Giovanni’s death and how badly it was affecting over the next few days.

She wrote in one particularly alarming message: “Dawg I feel like I’m dying giiiiiiiio baby dawg I’m fucking hurting dawg I’m hurt I’m so fuckn hurt.”

Then things took a turn for the worse when Jay Dor began posting messages hinting that she was going to take her own life.

“Baby save room for me,” she wrote in one post. “I promise I’m coming for you.”

She shared in another: “I’m scared I’m not about to lie but I still gotta get to you.”

Jay Dor’s friends commented on her posts and begged her not do anything to harm herself, but that didn’t stop her from posting about her suicidal thoughts.

“The pain I have behind these will soon be over like I have a sense of excitement because we gone be together again !!!!!!,” she wrote in one of her last posts.

She followed that post with a farewell message naming close family members and telling them how much she loved them.

She also posted another video speaking on reuniting with Giovanni.

She also shared a collage of their photos and videos together with the caption: “Baby I’m coming. True love”.

In the final video posted on her page, Jay Dor said she simply couldn’t take the pain anymore.

Below are her last two posts before she took her life.

According to several sources, Jay Dor died by suicide after she jumped off a bridge into the Detroit River while on Facebook Live.

In the video (which has since been deleted), Jay Dor reveals to viewers that she is about to kill herself.

The clip disturbingly ends not long after Jay Dor appears to jump off the bridge.

5Jay Dor’s sister posted on Facebook hours before her suicide asking friends and family to keep her in their prayers.

Jay Dor’s sister Kahlia Varner was concerned about her sister and knew that she was hurting deeply.

She posted the following message on her page asking for everyone to keep her sister in her prayers as well as Giovanni’s family.

Days before, she also posted a message speaking on how she knew her sister was going to deeply miss Giovanni.

Varner has also established a GoFundMe to help raise money for Jay Dor’s funeral expenses.

Varner wrote on the page:

“Our family and friends are suffering the lost of my big sister Jasmine Dortch (known as Jas/Jazzy/Jay Dor). Jas suffered from depression in the recent years and tried multiple times to get professional help with no avail.

“Her life partner passed away Sunday, July 28th due to health complications which sent Jas into a deep, dark unimaginable place.

“Despite all efforts to keep her spirits lifted, the pain she felt was so intense that on Wednesday, July 31st, Jas decided to take her own life. Jas was loved very much by her family and friends and we would like to give her the proper burial she deserves.”

Jasmine Washington Slams Kirk Frost & Rasheeda for Using Her Son for a Storyline: “Y’all Just Trying to Move on & Live Like Kannon Doesn’t Exist”

The Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta reunion concluded earlier this week and the mother of Kirk Frost’s baby outside of his marriage to Rasheeda was nowhere to be seen. But that didn’t stop Jasmine Washington from saying what she needed to say.

LHHATL Season 8 focused on Kirk and Rasheeda attempting to build a relationship with 3-year-old Kannon, the son Kirk had with Jasmine after cheating on Rasheeda.

During the reunion, the still-married couple shamed Jasmine for expecting too much from Kirk, even though Jasmine wasn’t there to defend herself.

“I think she expects me to be there like she was in a relationship,” Kirk said. “And she gotta understand, it was something different, and you chose to move forward with the situation, and you gotta kind of deal with it.”

Rasheeda co-signed with her husband of 20 years, blasting Jasmine for choosing to have a baby with a married man, as if Kirk had no part in creating little Kannon.

“You had a child with a married man and a family. He’s not gonna change his structure for you,” she said. “He never made you think that sh*t from the beginning! So don’t think now that that child is in place that everything is gonna change. It’s not.”

Jasmine—who says she was uninvited to the reunion—took to social media to tell her side of the story. In the now-deleted post, she said she doesn’t ask for much and called Kirk and Rasheeda “TV parents” who barely see her son and only used him for a storyline.

“I was told I was uninvited to do the reunion bc I no longer allowed these 2 to film with my son & act as if they really be spending time with him in real life,” she wrote.

“They are tv parents. I expect Kirk to be there like a f-king father. Let’s start there. I dnt ask for much! But surely you can take out an hour of your ‘busy schedule’ to see him for his bday or pick him up for example.

“Damn, maybe even a 30sec phone call from your daughter’s phone to wish him a happy bday? Is that me wanting y’all to change your ‘structure?’?? Is that me expecting you to be there like we’re in a relationship??

“Not 1 of y’all wished him a happy bday but act so concerned about everything else when the cameras rolling. I dnt even gaf that sis wants to hold me more accountable than her husband, but KANNON ain’t do sh-t to none of y’all.”

Jasmine went on to claim that Kirk and Rasheeda faked the scene that showed Rasheeda finding secret text messages from Jasmine on Kirk’s phone. She says she doesn’t even have Kirk’s number.

Jasmine continued to paint Kirk as an absent father and vowed to continue standing up for her child with or without the cameras.

“Don’t know what storyline world you live in but better believe having a child does change everything. Or should if you’re an active parent! Just say you want to continue making excuses for Kirk sis,” she wrote.

“Y’all just trying to move on and live like Kannon doesn’t exist but he’s here and his mother is gonna fight for every bit of respect, love and appreciation he deserves. Now you may continue with your fake a- reality show that no longer cares about reality.”

Neither Kirk nor Rasheeda have responded to Jasmine’s social media rant.

10-Year-Old Black Boy Charged With Assault After Hitting White Kid While Playing Dodgeball

Adding to the growing lists of things that one apparently cannot do while Black in America, a 10-year-old Black boy has been charged with assault after he was accused of hitting another student (yes, a white student) during an innocent game of dodgeball.

Cameishi Lindley told Detroit’s WXYZ she was shocked to receive a phone call from Wayne County Juvenile Court last Wednesday (Jul. 24) about her 10-year-old son Bryce.

Lindley said she was told her son had been charged with aggravated assault as a result of an April 29th incident at his school in which another boy had been hit in the face with a ball.

Lindley described the game her son and the other children were playing at Ruth Eriksson Elementary School in Canton, Michigan as a modified version of dodgeball where players throw balls in the air.

“These kids are basically playing a game we all have played,” she said.

According to WXYZ, the mother of the child who was hit filed a police report and said Lindley’s son threw the ball at her son’s face on purpose.

She told the news station son has a medical condition that makes head injuries particularly dangerous.

“He sustained facial tissue damage to his face. He had a black eye and a bruised nose,” the mother of the struck boy said. Medical records also showed the boy suffered a concussion.

She said her son has been targeted before, and she reported it to the school in mid-April, prior to the April 29th incident.

“My son was hit twice in the face with a ball previously due to this,” the White kid’s mom told WXYZ. “The child apologized to my son and my son said ‘mom it’s okay we’re still going to be friends’.”

She said the April 29th incident was the last straw, and at that point, she feared for her child’s safety. “I tried not to let it get to this point,” she said.

Lindley told 7 Action News that neither she nor her son were aware of the other child’s medical condition, and she’s sorry he was hurt, but she feels as though he shouldn’t have been allowed to play a game like that in the first place if he has a serious medical condition.

“I am unaware of any of those situations,” Lindley said. “I’m sorry that her child got hurt. I’d be sorry for any child that got hurt.”

Lindley said her son was suspended from school for a day and she feels as though his punishment should have ended there.

“I couldn’t believe it,” she said of Bryce’s assault charge. “This is a kid that was playing on the playground with his friends.”

The case will go before a judge in Juvenile Court on Thursday (Aug. 1) for a pre-trial conference, WXYZ reports.

Meanwhile, Lindley has created a fundraiser to assist with Bryce’s legal fees. So far, it has raised more than $15,000.

Keke Palmer to Join ABC’s “Strahan & Sara” As Permanent Third Co-Host

It’s almost official: Keke Palmer is set to join ABC talk show Strahan and Sara as a permanent third co-host.

Page Six is exclusively reporting that Palmer is “days away from inking a deal,” which may be finalized by the end of this week.

“ABC execs are close to finalizing a deal,” a source told the site. “She’s fun, spontaneous and has great energy.”

Palmer has been guest co-hosting the show with Michael Strahan and Sara Haines all summer long, including while Haines was on maternity leave. Haines returned just last week.

“Keke has been so much fun filling in, so they decided to make her an offer,” said the insider. “The audience knows her and she’s got great chemistry with both [hosts].

We previously reported that ABC execs were so impressed with her performance and chemistry with the hosts, that they were trying to find a permanent role for her within the Good Morning America franchise. However, it was only rumored at that time.

The source added the hope is that Palmer—who turns 26 next month—will attract younger viewers and help with the show’s struggling ratings.

Strahan and Sara premiered last year as GMA Day, an afternoon spinoff to Good Morning America. It was revamped to its current format and name in January.

Unfortunately, it has still failed to even match the ratings of canceled popular cooking show The Chew, which it replaced.

It’s unknown if the show will underdo yet another name change to include Palmer’s name once she officially comes onboard.

Mugshot Madness: Kenya Moore’s Ex Matt Jordan Arrested After Allegedly Punching Girlfriend in the Face

Kenya Moore’s ex-boyfriend Matt Jordan is still abusive. Jordan has been arrested for allegedly punching his girlfriend in the face.

According to TMZ, Jordan was arrested Saturday (Jul. 27) in Arizona after punching girlfriend Valerie Bell in the face in a Denny’s parking lot. A second woman witnessed the physical altercation.

Jordan was also taken into custody for several other separate charges, including aggravated assault, theft, and threatening/intimidating with damage to property.

Jordan was arrested without incident and is being held in Pinal County with bail set at $3,250. However, he still in custody because no one had posted the bail.

Arrest documents detail the physical altercation with Bell. And the second woman/witness says that Jordan also snatched her cigarettes—one from her mouth and the pack from her hands—and attempted to throw them on the roof.

He left the scene before cops could arrived, but went to Bell’s home a few hours later where he was ultimately arrested.

Police discovered the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star also had an outstanding warrant against him from April. That’s when he was slapped with the additional charges of theft, assault, damage to property.

It’s unclear what incident the April charges are connected to, but he failed to appear in court to deal with it them, which is why the warrant was issued.

Jordan has had several run-ins with the law over the past few years and RHOA fans know that he has repeatedly exhibited violent behavior.

In 2017, Kenya Moore was granted a restraining order against Jordan for harassing her by calling her 30 times a day and allegedly threatening her.

He was also got into a violent fight with fellow former RHOA star Peter Thomas at a radio station that same year. Jordan claimed Thomas had a box cutter or knife during the brawl. The fight was caught on video.

Ex-Amazon Employee Who Hacked Into Capital One Was Caught by the FBI After She Bragged Online

A very not so smart woman named Paige Adele Thompson has been identified as the suspect behind the massive Capital One data breach that compromised the personal data of more than 100 million people.

Thompson, a former Amazon employee, was arrested by the FBI in Seattle on Monday (Jul. 29) and was charged with a single count of computer fraud and abuse after she hacked into Capital One’s systems and gained access to private information.

An FBI agent said the feds were easily able to track her down after she bragged about her criminal activity online via Twitter, Slack, GitHub and Meetup.

The breach occurred on March 22 and 23, the complaint said. Capital One, the fifth-largest credit-card issuer in the US, said the largest category of compromised information involved consumers and small businesses that applied for credit cards between 2005 and early 2019.

In the complaint, an FBI agent, Joel Martini, laid out evidence he found on GitHub, Slack, Meetup, and Twitter.

The complaint, filed with the US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Washington, said Thompson posted on GitHub on April 21 about the leaked information.

The post, dubbed the “April 21 File,” contained “a list of more than 700 folders or buckets of data,” as well as code for three commands to obtain Capital One’s credentials and extract data, the complaint said.

Another user spotted the post and flagged it to Capital One on July 17, the complaint said. Two days later, the credit card company contacted the FBI, and investigators began looking into the account that posted the information.

The complaint said the GitHub address where the “April 21 File” was posted included Thompson’s full name and a link to a GitLab page that had a resume indicating she was a systems engineer.

Martini said he found a group organized by Thompson on a platform called Meetup that had an invitation code for a channel on Slack, a team-chat service.

The complaint said that on June 26, one of the users, “erratic,” believed to be Thompson, posted “a list of files” that they “claimed to possess.”

A screenshot of a Slack conversation included in the complaint showed a user telling “erratic” not to go to jail and “erratic” responding with “I wanna get it off my server thats why Im archiving all of it lol.”

The complaint said that on June 18, a Twitter user believed to be Thompson exchanged direct messages about the data breach with another person on the site.

A screenshot included in the complaint showed the user saying they wanted to “distribute those buckets” of information they obtained.

Martini said the message indicated that Thompson “intended to disseminate data stolen from victim entities, starting with Capital One.”

The complaint characterized another message in the screenshot as an acknowledgment that the information “buckets” included Social Security numbers with full names and dates of birth tied to the Capital One accounts.

So you were smart enough to hack into Capital One, but not smart enough to not brag about it all over the internet?

If an award for dumbest criminal of the year existed, Paige A. Thompson would definitely be nominated.

Thompson appeared in court Monday. If convicted as charged, she could face up to five years in prison, as well as a $250,000 fine.

Jury Finds Katy Perry Stole Part of “Dark Horse” Beat from Christian Rap Song “Joyful Noise”

Katy Perry is guilty of copyright infringement after a jury unanimously decided her hit song “Dark Horse” was, in part, copied from a Christian rap song.

After a weeklong trial, a nine-person jury concluded on Monday (Jul. 29) that Perry’s 2013 hit song “Dark Horse,” in part, copied 2008 Christian rap song “Joyful Noise” by Flame. Perry was not present in the courtroom.

The phase to determine damages awarded to Flame is set to begin today.

Flame—whose real name is Marcus Gray—filed a lawsuit in 2014 against Perry, Capitol Records and other “Dark Horse” writers and producers claiming the song stole an underlying beat from his song, slowed the tempo and used a higher pitch.

Perry and “Dark Horse” producer Dr. Luke’s lawyers argued that any similarities could not be deemed copyright infringement because the beat in question is too common and brief to be protected. Experts were even called to substantiate the argument.

Perry and Dr. Luke also both testified that they had never heard Flame’s song before. However, Flame’s “Joyful Noise” featuring Lecrae was popular in the Christian music community and he argued the defendants may have heard the song on YouTube, Myspace, or during the Grammy Awards.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that there were some “colorful moments” during the trial. Amid technical difficulties while attempting to play “Dark Horse,” Perry offered to sing the song from the stand, which caused laughter from the jury.

And on the day of Dr. Luke’s testimony, there was a shooting outside of the courthouse.

In addition to Perry and Dr. Luke, producer Max Martin, producer Cirkut, songwriter Sarah Hudson, and rapper Juicy J (who was featured on the track) were also named in the suit.

A motion from Perry’s lawyer asking the judge to rule that a reasonable jury couldn’t determine copyright infringement based on the evidence presented is still pending despite the jury’s Monday verdict.

Is Wendy Williams dipping her toe in reality TV once again and joining Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise?

According to Radar Online, sources tell podcast host Rob Shutter—who is a frequent guest on Williams’ show—that Andy Cohen is “begging” her to join The Real Housewives of New York.

“Andy wants Wendy and is doing whatever it takes to get her to sign up, even if only for one season,” Shuter alleged on his “Straight Shuter” podcast.

Cohen and execs are apparently looking for celebrities to add to the cast to make the decade-old series “fresh and exciting.”

They are eyeing the talk show host because “Wendy is the hottest lady in NYC” since splitting from her longtime husband to living the single life on both coasts.

Adding known celebrities helped revitalize The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and execs hope to bring that same magic RHONY. And plus, “How much longer can a show set in New York have no black women as one of its lead characters?” the source posed.

The 55-year-old is a Housewives fan and is partial to Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer of RHONY. And she also has some well-known beef with Bethenny Frankel. So, there may be potential for interesting TV.

The source also added that Williams “would be guaranteed to be the highest-paid housewife ever!” And we all know how much Miss Williams likes her coins.

Earlier this month, Cohen visited Williams’ purple couch and admitted that her ex, Kevin Hunter, was not his biggest fan, but stated that he was glad to see Williams happy and living carefree in NYC—which may have sparked this rumored Real Housewives idea.

However, there’s one major problem. Williams has often described herself as “just a girl from Jersey.” Williams was born and raised in New Jersey. IF she was to join a Housewives show, wouldn’t it be The Real Housewives of New Jersey?

It should be noted that Williams just started renting a luxury apartment in New York, shortly after filing for divorce in April.

It is honestly VERY unlikely that Wendy Williams will join the Housewives franchise. But she did briefly have her own reality show in 2006, The Wendy Williams Experience. It aired on VH1.

The social media debt collector and captain of all things petty took a break from calling people out about owing him money and took a jab at Dipset rapper Juelz Santana over his teeth again.

Juelz reacted to the rumors and 50 by posting a picture of himself showing off his pearly white smile.

6-Year-Old Boy Who “Always Wanted to Have Fun” Among 3 Shot & Killed at Gilroy Garlic Festival in California

A 6-year-old boy has been revealed as one of the victims of Sunday’s (Jul. 28) mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California.

The shooting left three people dead in total and at least 15 people injured.

6-year-old Stephen Romero was shot in the back and died from his injuries at
St. Louise Hospital.

Romero’s mother Barbara Aquirre was reportedly shot in the stomach and hand, and his grandmother Barbara Velasquez Aquirre was shot in the leg during the mayhem. Both are being treated at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose.

19-year-old Santino William Legan has been identified as the shooter and is said to have opened fire on the crowds at the festival around 5:40 pm on Sunday.

Officers at the park shot and killed Legan shortly after he began attacking the crowd with gunfire.

Stephen Romero’s father, Alberto Romero, was at home with his 9-year-old daughter when he received the news that his young son has been shot at the event.

He told The Mercury News that his wife, Barbara Aquirre, called and told him that she and their son had been seriously wounded and that their son was getting medical care. Alberto said he felt like the phone call was a dream at first.

“I couldn’t believe what was happening—that what she was saying was a lie, that maybe I was dreaming,” he said.

Alberto said it was only matter of minutes when he found out his son did not survive his injuries.

“They told me he was in critical condition, that they were working on him. Five minutes later they told me he was dead,” Romero said.

Alberto also revealed that Stephen had just celebrated his sixth birthday last month at Legoland and was going to start first grade later this year.

He described Stephen as “always happy and always wanting to have fun.” He said his son had his whole life to live.

“There’s nothing I really can do besides try to be with him until I can put him in his resting spot, wherever that is. My son had his whole life to live and he was only 6,” he told an NBC affiliate.

Alberto was allowed to see his son at the hospital and have a final moment with him while doctors put his wife Barbara in a medically induced coma.

Alberto’s mother (also Stephen’s grandmother) Maribel Romero told ABC 7 how disgusted she was with her grandson’s murder and wanted justice to be served.

“It has to be someone really sick. Because shooting a kid … it’s a family event,” Maribel said. “I just hope there is justice and they catch the last person or the other person and that there’s justice.”

A 13-year-old girl and a man in his twenties were also victims in the tragic shooting that occurred on Sunday.

Police have said Santino William Legan’s motive is unknown. He carried out the shooting with an AK-47-type assault rifle he legally purchased in Nevada on July 9.

Witnesses say there was a second person involved, but police have not released any information about additional shooters.

Tituss Burgess Unleashes on “Messy Queen” Andy Cohen for Eddie Murphy Question During Awkward ‘WHHL’ Interview

Tituss Burgess is definitely NOT here for Andy Cohen’s messy ways. The actor gathered Cohen on his own show and on Instagram, with both epic reads going viral.

Burgess appeared on Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live! on Sunday (Jul. 28) and was asked by a fan about his experience working with Eddie Murphy in the upcoming film, Dolemite Is My Name.

Cohen then asked a follow-up question about whether Burgess had any conversations with or got close to Murphy, given that he was “very problematic for the gays at one point,” referring to Murphy’s anti-gay jokes back in the 90s.

Burgess, an openly gay man, defended Murphy. “He wasn’t problematic for Tituss,” he said, while adding that Murphy must no longer have any issues with gay people.

But Cohen’s line of messy questioning clearly rubbed Burgess the wrong way. He made a meme-worthy face and mouthed a few words to the camera, which prompted Cohen to ask what he was saying.

“Keep going, girl. Do your show,” Burgess waved off the host.

The clip started going viral this morning, even causing the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actor to become a trending topic.

It didn’t take long for Burgess to further unleash on Cohen in a long Instagram post, calling him a talentless “messy queen” who should remember his talk show is “not an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

“Sunday was a display of ratchet behavior by a well-connected man having blatant disregard for one of his guests,” Burgess wrote. “He was lucky I had my wits and Christian values THAT day. Always keep it classy.”

Andy Cohen has not said much about Burgess’ WWHL appearance or Instagram post. However, he did agree with a fan that the moment was “awkward.”

He has also liked a tweet defending the right to question Murphy’s homophobic past. However, we should also note that Murphy has previously apologized for his anti-gay jokes.

The feud between Burgess and Cohen may come and go, but I think it’s safe to say that Burgess won’t be dropping by the WWHL clubhouse anytime soon.

Chicago Woman Arrested After Stealing Taraji P. Henson’s Identity & Making $12K in Fraudulent Purchases

A Chicago woman is in deep trouble after stealing the identities of several people including actress Taraji P. Henson.

29-year-old Alicia Newby was arrested this past weekend at her home in Chicago’s Galewood neighborhood. She was charged with a felony offense of continuing a financial crime enterprise.

According to prosecutors, Newby used other people’s identities to buy thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

She allegedly accessed Taraji’s email last year and racked up $12,000 in fraudulent charges to the Empire star’s bank account.

It wasn’t until Taraji’s manager noticed the expenses on his client’s card attached to an unrecognizable name and an address different from Taraji’s that police were notified about Hamby’s criminal activities.

Taraji’s manager immediately canceled the purchases, with some worth more than $4,000.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that a month after Henson reported the identity theft, Hamby allegedly assaulted a postal worker after they refused to deliver packages to one of her addresses.

Officers were called to the scene and captured her demands on camera, but allowed Hamby to have the packages after she caused a big scene.

She is said to have wept throughout her court appearance on Sunday (Jul. 28) and was granted a $10,000 personal recognizance bond from the judge.

Hamby was also ordered by the judge to remain on electronic monitoring and barred from using the internet and having any contact with the victims.

Hamby is currently pregnant with her seventh child and suffers from bipolar disorder.

Police said they found some of the merchandise she purchased at her home during her arrest.
