Nene Leakes Reveals She Took Depression Meds While Taking Care of Husband As He Battled Cancer

Real Housewives of Atlanta fans know that Nene Leakes had a rough season 11. We not only saw the breakdown of some of her friendships, but we also witnessed the strong-willed reality star breakdown emotionally.

But she’s now revealing that it was worse than the viewers even realized.

In an exclusive interview with Hollywood Life, Nene opened up about her recent battle with depression.

She says the stress of being her husband Gregg Leakes’ caretaker while he battled stage 3 colon cancer took a toll on her emotional and mental health.

“It was such a hard time,” Leakes revealed. “Being a caretaker and doing something like caring for someone with cancer for the first time in my life, then to have to be the breadwinner for everything, it’s a lot. The overseer of everything in our life, it was a lot of pressure and it really did feel like depression.”

Nene shared what she was feeling with her OBGYN who said it sounded like she was going through a depression. Nene did her own research about depression and chose to take medication to help.

“She gave me some medication and it really worked and it helped me out a lot,” she said. “I don’t think I really understood how serious that was for us and how much pressure I had on me.”

Nene says she and Gregg are both doing better health-wise and in their marriage, which became strained during Gregg’s cancer battle. Gregg is still cancer-free and she revealed she’s lost 12 pounds.

As for season 12 of RHOA, Nene says that she is facing the confrontation with her castmates head-on and expects it will be a “great” season for fans.

And Kandi Burruss even recently said that Nene is “putting forth the effort” to repair her broken RHOA friendships.

#FundraisingWhileBlack: White Woman Pulls Gun on Black Kids Raising Money for Football Team

An Arkansas jail administrator’s wife was arrested after police say she pulled a gun on a group of Black teenagers who were going door-to-door to raise money for their high school football team.

A 16-year-old sophomore who didn’t want to appear on camera told a local news station that he and three of his teammates were walking around a neighborhood in Wynne, Ark. on August 7th selling restaurant coupons, but ran into trouble when they reached one particular home.

As the teens approached 46-year-old Jerri Kelly’s residence, the woman, who is white, came outside with a gun demanding that they get on the ground and forcing them to spread their legs while keeping their hands behind their backs.

Kelly then called 911 and held the teens at gunpoint until police arrived.

Officers responding to reports of “suspicious persons” found the four children on the ground with Kelly standing over them holding a gun.

The teens explained to police that they had been selling discount cards to raise money for a school athletic program, a story that was corroborated by the football jerseys two of them were wearing.

After investigating the incident, police took the teens home and later put out a warrant for Kelly’s arrest.

Kelly, who is the wife of Cross County Jail Administrator Joseph Kelly, was turned herself in on Monday (Aug. 12) and was charged with four counts of aggravated assault, false imprisonment and endangering a minor.

She was released on $10,000 bond that night.

Bill Winkler, who has lived in Kelly’s neighborhood for decades, said it isn’t uncommon to see teens raising money around this time of the year.

“Usually, it’s right before football season, late summer or early fall, the kids are out selling these discount cards,” Winkler told WMC-TV. “They’re just kids. You worry about your neighborhood, and you wonder who is this person.”

Synne School District Superintendent Carl Easley released a statement saying: “We intend to review all methods of fundraising used by school groups in grades K-12 to ensure the safety of our children.”

Easley said the district is considering getting rid of door-to-door fundraisers altogether.

Video Shows Black Man Surrounded By Cops As They Question Him for Looking at a White Woman

A Facebook live stream showing the moment police officers in Royal Oak, Michigan stopped a Black man to question him for “looking suspiciously” at a white woman has gone viral on social media.

We’re sure you know the story by now without even knowing the story. A Black person is minding their own damn business, while a white person not minding their own damn business is “suspicious” of the Black person, and proceeds to dial 911.

This particular video shows a number of police officers questioning 20-year-old Devin Meyers and refusing to let him go all because a white woman was frightened by his presence. Another sad example of #ExistingWhileBlack.

Fortunately for Meyers, Kimiko Adolph (the woman behind the camera), was there and captured the whole ordeal while also being a pillar of support of the young man who was surrounded by cops.

Via The Daily Dot:

“He has been pulled over walking to go to eat for suspicion of being Black and looking at the Caucasian woman,” Adolph says, as she points her phone toward the officers. “They got him surrounded. So I’m not going to leave the brother out here.”

Adolph told the Daily Dot that she was on her way to a nearby CVS but chose to stop and intervene after seeing Myers surrounded by the cops.

“I have three black sons, and he was by himself, surrounded for no reason,” she said. “Nobody was filming, and I knew I had to.”

Adolph joined Inn Season Cafe manager Erin Frey to defend the young man.

Even though it is hard to decipher everything Meyers says to the police in the video, he can clearly be heard explaining that he was on his way to meet his girlfriend at the cafe when they stopped him based on a report that he looked “suspicious.” He also says that the police would have certainly let him go had he been white.

“So if someone calls about someone, we’re not supposed to respond?” one of the officers questions.

Meyers explained that there is nothing inherently wrong with police responding to the call, but they should have recognized that he did not pose a threat and simply kept it moving.

“I’m pretty sure if she would’ve done the same thing,” Meyers said of Frey, who is a white woman, “you would’ve let her go 10 minutes ago.”

Instead, Meyers was held and questioned for 30 minutes until finally being let go.

“She called because he is a Black guy,” Frey said to the police after Meyers walks away. “If that were me walking across the street and walking in, this would not be happening.”

On social media, many denounced the police’s actions and heralded both Adolph and Frey for stepping in.

“Shout out to this Black woman, Kimiko Adolph who recorded this, stood by him, possibly saved his life. A complete queen and a heroine,” one Twitter user wrote.

“I’m just glad it ended as it should have,” Adolph said.

If only Emmett Till had been so lucky.

Stacey Abrams Open to Joining Presidential Race As Running Mate, Launches Initiative to Ensure “Fair Fight” in 2020 Elections

Former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is throwing her hat into the 2020 election, but it’s not the way you may think.

Abrams has chosen not to join the field of 24 Democrats running for president, but she’s open to the possibility of joining someone’s ticket.

“I would be honored to be considered,” she said of being asked to run as the vice presidential candidate for the eventual nominee.

Abrams became a shining star in the Democratic party—and across the country—last year when she ran a strong campaign in Georgia’s governor race.

Though Abrams was poised to become America’s first black female governor, she was narrowly defeated by Republican Brian Kemp. Voter suppression and voting irregularities are believed to have been factors in Abrams’ loss.

It was reported back in March that Abrams was heavily being considered as Joe Biden’s running mate. Neither had announced their 2020 plans at the time, but the going rumor was that they would announce their bid as a ticket. Abrams shot down the rumor.

The former Georgia state representative has ultimately decided not to run for president or senate, but will be fighting in the 2020 election.

Abrams just launched an initiative to safeguard our election and she’s dedicated herself to “making sure every eligible American who should cast a vote will be able to.”

Abrams announced Fair Fight 2020 earlier this week. The project will fund and train teams to develop a “voter protection infrastructure” across 20 battleground states.

“We’re going to have a fair fight in 2020 because my mission is to make certain that no one has to go through in 2020 what we went through in 2018,” Abrams said at the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades in Las Vegas.

In the speech, she slammed strict voter ID laws and the purging of voter rolls, and stressed the need to protect our election process from outside influences.

“In the end, no matter where I fit, no matter which ones of our nominees win, if we haven’t fought this scourge, if we haven’t pushed back against Moscow Mitch and his determination to block any legislation that would cure our voting machines, then we are all in a world of trouble,” Abrams explained to the New York Times.

As the top tier candidates prepare for the third debate, Abrams says she has not chosen anyone to endorse for president.

NBA YoungBoy Released From Jail, Will Spend the Next 12 Months on House Arrest

NBA YoungBoy has been released from jail and will spend the next 12 months on house arrest, per judge’s orders.

Video footage shared on social media shows the 19-year-old rapper exiting the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison just after midnight early Thursday morning (Aug. 15).

He was warmly greeted by his girlfriend, Kaylyn Marie “Kay Marie” Long, before being driven off in a black vehicle.

The “Valuable Pain” rapper also appeared on Instagram Live and was seen trying to cover up his new mustache before eventually warming up to the camera and laughing and waving.

“I gotta get my haircut,” YoungBoy says as the clip ends.

He also posed for a photo with his mother Sherhonda Gaulden (on the left):

NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, has been in jail since May when he was arrested for his alleged involvement in a shooting incident in Miami on Mother’s Day that left an innocent bystander dead. His girlfriend Kay Marie was also injured in the shooting.

In June, a judge sentenced the rapper to 90 days in jail and a year of house arrest for violating his probation stemming from a 2016 shooting case for which he pleaded guilty.

Gaulden’s plea deal, which was given to him in 2017, sentenced him to three years of probation with a suspended 10-year prison sentence. The conditions of his probation stated that he remain free of additional arrests and convictions, which he failed to do.

The judge said YoungBoy violated his probation by “talking trash and smack” about the Miami shooting after he was told to stay off social media, an order he hadn’t been adhering to even before the fatal shooting.

YoungBoy has also been arrested twice while on probation—back in 2018 for allegedly assaulting a woman in Georgia and earlier this year for marijuana possession and disorderly conduct when he told his baby mama beat up a hotel staffer. The charges from the latter arrest were dismissed.

In deciding not to revoke his probation, State District Judge Bonnie Jackson put the rapper under house arrest with electronic monitoring until his probation expires in August 2020. He’s also not allowed to perform until then.

Maurice Hill Identified As Suspect Accused of Shooting 6 Philadelphia Police Officers

The suspected gunman who was taken into police custody after shooting six officers in an “active firefight” in Philadelphia Wednesday evening (Aug. 14) has been identified as a 36-year-old convicted felon named Maurice Hill.

WATCH: Philadelphia Gunman Who Shot 6 Police Officers Surrenders After 7-Hour Standoff

While police haven’t released the alleged gunman’s name, the Philadelphia Inquirer named Hill as the suspect, citing police sources.

CBS Philadelphia also reported that the suspect in the more than 7-hour long standoff is Maurice Hill, who was identified by his lawyer.

Hill’s attorney, Shaka Johnson, told CBS 3 Hill called him while he was barricaded inside his house around 8:30 p.m., four hours after Maurice shot six police officers who were there to serve a warrant for drugs.

“Maurice called me in a panic, obviously. He did not want this to end violently and he really was sort of taking an opportunity to speak his peace. I told him ‘You gotta surrender, man,'” Johnson said.

Hill wasn’t injured in the shooting, Johnson added.

Sources told CBS 3 Hill live-streamed some of the shootout while he barricaded himself inside the home.

The shooting, which unfolded around 4:30 p.m., prompted a massive police response to the North Philadelphia neighborhood where Hill lives, which is roughly two miles north of Temple University.

As cops rushed upstairs, a gunman waiting downstairs with an AK-47 assault rifle fired several rounds through the ceiling. Police returned fire while several officers escaped through windows and doors.

Around 9:45 p.m., two Philadelphia police officers and several hostages trapped inside the home with the suspected gunman were “safely evacuated” by a SWAT team. Hill, who remained downstairs the whole time, surrendered about two hours later.

The six officers who were shot were taken to area hospitals and have since been released. A seventh police officer responding to the scene was injured in a car accident, and a pedestrian was also injured, police said.

Police Commissioner Richard Ross said in a news conference it was a miracle no officers were killed during the incident.

“Let’s be clear, the police did an awesome job today. They were very patient, this had been going on for hours,” Hill’s attorney said.

“Commissioner Ross could have pushed a button long before he did, quite frankly. So I want to give credit to the police for having some sort of patience with all of this … This could have gone very badly earlier in the day.”

According to CBS 3, two women and two children were escorted from the scene by SWAT and Philly police. They said they were inside the home on the second floor during the shootout and that police saved them.

Because he is a convicted felon, Maurice Hill cannot legally possess a firearm. As a matter of fact, he was previously convicted in federal court of being a felon in possession of a firearm, so he is no stranger to breaking the law.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Hill’s lengthy criminal background includes multiple gun convictions and “resisting attempts to bring him to justice.”

The newspaper reports that Hill’s history in the adult criminal justice system began back in 2001 when he was 18 and was arrested with a gun that had an altered serial number.

Since then, Hill has been arrested around a dozen times with six convictions for things like “illegal possession of guns, drug dealing and aggravated assault,” the Inquirer reported, adding that he’s “been in and out of prison,” with the longest sentence being 55 months.

In 2008, Hill was convicted of escaping, fleeing from police and resisting arrest. He’s also “beat criminal charges on everything from kidnapping to attempted murder,” the Inquirer reported.

Hill also spent time in federal prison.

In 2008, he pleaded guilty to federal firearms violations after he was caught with a Smith & Wesson .357 and later a Taurus PT .45 semiautomatic.

His prior felony convictions should have barred him from owning those weapons. U.S. District Judge Paul S. Diamond sentenced him to four years and seven months in prison.

More recently, Hill was convicted of perjury in 2013 and sentenced to seven years of probation.

He appeared before Common Pleas Court Judge Rayford Means for three different alleged violations of probation — at least two of them related to new cases, which he later beat.

In one of those cases, Philadelphia police arrested Hill in May 2014, after spotting him driving an unregistered scooter.

But when officers tried to stop him, he raced down an alleyway against traffic on a one way street and then onto a sidewalk, sending pedestrians scattering, court records say.

Hill crashed the scooter and then fled on foot but was apprehended. He was charged with driving without a license, recklessly endangering another person, and fleeing police, but later was acquitted on all counts.

Philadelphia police arrested Hill again in October 2014 on charges of drug possession and false imprisonment.

According to court filings, his accuser told police she had agreed to sell marijuana for Hill but then later changed her mind.

When he summoned her to his house on the 6900 block of Greenway Street in Southwest Philadelphia days later, she says, she overheard Hill and an associate discussing killing her.

Fearful for her life, the woman said, she called 911. When officers arrived, she fled as Hill and his associate hid the crack cocaine and marijuana in a tire out back. Investigators discovered 83 grams of marijuana.

In a news conference, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney didn’t mention Hill by name, but argued for gun control, saying that police knew the gunman and he shouldn’t have been able to get any weapons.

“This guy is clearly a criminal … he had apparently a long record. Has been involved in criminal justice before and he was able to get these weapons,” the mayor said, calling the situation “disgusting.”

The mayor also criticized the government for refusing to “stand up to the NRA.”

“It’s aggravating. It’s saddening,” he said. “It’s just something we need to do something about. And if the state and federal government don’t want to stand up to the NRA and some other folks, then let us police ourselves.”

He added: “Our officers deserve to be protected. They don’t deserve to be shot at by a guy for four hours with an unlimited supply of weapons and an unlimited supply of bullets.

“It’s disgusting and we’ve got to do something about it. And we need to do something about it quickly.”

The suspect accused of shooting six Philadelphia police officers Wednesday (Aug. 14) has finally surrendered and was taken into the custody of Philly police.

The Philadelphia shooting suspect, believed to be heavily armed with weapons including an AK-47, surrendered just before midnight following a seven-hour standoff.

After a member of the SWAT team shot tear gas into the home where the suspect was holed up in, the suspect walked out with his arms up and was quickly taken into police custody.

According to Philadelphia’s Fox 29 News, the incident unfolded around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 3700 block of North 15th Street as officers were serving a warrant for drugs.

Police said officers “had to escape through windows and doors to get (away) from a barrage of bullets.”

Around 9:45 p.m., two Philadelphia police officers and three civilians trapped inside the home with the suspected gunman were “safely evacuated” by a SWAT team. The suspect surrendered about two hours later.

“It’s nothing short of a miracle that we don’t have multiple officers killed today,” Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross said in a news conference Wednesday night.

The six officers who were shot were taken to area hospitals and have since been released.

A seventh police officer responding to the scene was injured in a car accident, and a pedestrian was also injured, police said.

Blueface Says He was Being “Humble” Before, Now Claims He’s Smashed 10,000 Women in the Past 6 Months

Blueface is still lying on his d**k.

The LA-based rapper shocked the internet last week when he claimed that he’s had sex with 1,000 women in the last six months.

Though the number already seemed astronomical, Blueface is trying to ride that shock and awe wave by adjusting his body count upwards … by a lot.

During an interview at Real Street Fest last weekend, Blueface said he was being humble when initially talking about his sexual trysts.

When the interviewer asked for the real number, the 22-year-old responded: “10,000, f**k it. 10,000!”

It seems pretty clear that Blueface is just toying with us at this point. But just for fun, the rapper would have smash at least 50 women a day just to make the math work.

Going with the 1,000 body count, he would’ve had to have been with five women per day, which he did admit that he often enjoyed group sex.

“It’s like sometimes it might be a threesome, it might be a foursome,” he revealed last week. “I done had a fivesome. Me and four girls…it was pretty hard.”

Blueface earned a viral hit earlier this year with the aptly named, “Thotiana.” He released his third ep, Dirt Bag, last week.

But it’s kind of hard (no pun intended) to imagine how he has the time to work on and promote his music if he’s so busy slanging d**k.

Tay-K’s New Mugshot Surfaces After He’s Sentenced to 55 Years in Prison for Murder

Just three weeks after rapper Tay-K was sentenced to 55 years in prison on a murder charge for a 2016 robbery that left a man dead, a brand new mugshot for the 19-year-old has surfaced.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1Ha7aljYYg/

While Tay-K, whose real name is Taymore McIntyre, has appealed that conviction, he’s also facing another capital murder charge in an unrelated case.

Last week, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that Texas prosecutors want McIntyre to be tried as an adult in connection with the murder of 23-year-old Mark Saldivar.

McIntyre is accused of fatally shooting Saldivar outside of a San Antonio Chick-fil-A in 2017 while he was on the run just one month after cutting off his ankle monitor while on house arrest for the shooting death of 21-year-old Ethan Walker.

McIntyre was 16 at the time of the 2017 shooting, and was charged as a juvenile with delinquent conduct/capital murder, but prosecutors are planning to seek to have him certified to face trial as an adult in the case.

McIntyre is also facing a $1 million wrongful death lawsuit from Salvidar’s family.

Mike Tyson Says He Smokes $40,000 Worth of Weed Every Month

Mike Tyson’s weed habit is out of control.

In case you didn’t know, the former heavyweight champion hosts a podcast called “Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson,” which, as the name suggests, is about smoking weed and all things cannabis-related.

On Monday’s (Aug. 13) episode, which featured a guest appearance from rapper Jim Jones, Mike revealed that he spends what equals to a median wage salary on marijuana every month.

“What do we smoke a month?” Tyson asked his co-host, Eben Britton. “Is it $40,000 a month? It’s $40, yeah, $40,000 a month.”

“We smoke 10 tons of weed at the ranch a month,” Britton said.

“That’s a lot of weed,” Jim Jones, who also operates his own legal cannabis business, said in response. “That’s nonstop, every second weed right there.”

Fortunately for Iron Mike, that money doesn’t come directly out of his pockets since he owns and operates a 420-acre farm called Tyson Ranch where he grows marijuana and does “research” on the drug’s effects.

The first rule of the game is to never get high on your own supply, but when you’re Mike Tyson, you do whatever the hell you want to do because you’re Mike Tyson. However, $40,000 worth of weed over a 30-day period is A LOT of f**king weed.

Tyson plans to build a weed-themed resort on his ranch, which will include a luxury hotel, amphitheater, campsites and retail shops.

He says his company sells about $500,000 a month in weed products that are sold in dispensaries throughout California and in Las Vegas.

Of course, he would make more if he didn’t smoke so much.

Multiple Police Officers Injured in “Active and Ongoing” Shooting Incident in Philadelphia

Philadelphia police say at least six officers have been shot and another was injured while responding to an “active and ongoing” situation Wednesday evening (Aug. 14).

Sgt. Eric Gripp of the Philadelphia Police Department tweeted at 4:43 pm: “Shooting incident 3700 N 15th Street. Suspect/(s) firing at police. Large police presence. AVOID AREA.”

Gripp said in a follow-up tweet that the shooting situation was “ACTIVE and ONGOING” and urged people to avoid the area.

In his latest update, he said the “suspect is still firing” and six PPD officers were shot, and were at area hospitals receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

“Additional officers also receiving treatment for non-gunshot injuries,” he added. “Continue to avoid area. Situation is active and ongoing.”

CNN reports Philadelphia police were first called to the scene for drug activity.

Video from a news helicopter showed dozens of police cars at the scene. The footage also showed officers kneeling and crouching behind cars with guns drawn.

Fox 29 reporter Jeff Cole said there are at least three officers inside a home with the shooter, who is still firing shots inside the house.

There are no reports of any civilians being injured.

This is a developing story… Check back for updates.

White Man Arrested After Refusing to Partake in Black Girlfriend’s Slavery Role Play Request During Sex

This is a lesson in how not to role play. A White man was arrested after refusing to role play as a slave master at his black girlfriend’s disturbing request.

Kenneth Atkins, 37, was arrested last week for misdemeanor battery for allegedly spitting in his girlfriend’s face and becoming “verbally aggressive.”

According to an affidavit, the domestic dispute was sparked after Ashley Edwards, 35, suggested a sexual role-play scenario in which Edwards wanted to play a “slave” and Atkins was her “slaver.”

Atkins wanted no parts of his girlfriend’s “50 Shades of Slave” sex fantasy and the Florida couple began to argue, with Atkins spitting on Edwards at one point.

Police arrived at their Bradenton home shortly before 11 p.m. The affidavit states Atkins “denied the allegations and/or any other physical confrontation.”

Edwards also refused to give an official statement to police because she didn’t want her boyfriend arrested. She was not injured during the dispute.

Atkins was ultimately arrested for battery and booked at the Manatee County Central Jail. He was released the next day. An arraignment is scheduled for September 9th.

Following his release, Atkins is allowed “consensual contact” with Edwards.

According to The Smoking Gun, Atkins has lengthy wrap sheet which includes convictions of grand theft, battery, and burglary.

He was arrested in May for allegedly stealing from Walmart. He was released on $1,500 bond and the case is still pending.

Edwards also just stated a two-year probation sentence in connection to a felony theft conviction.

A$AP Rocky Found Guilty in Sweden Assault Case

A verdict has been made in A$AP Rocky’s Sweden assault case. The rapper was found guilty. Fortunately, he won’t have to spend any more time behind bars.

Four judges found Rocky and his two friends/co-conspirators were guilty of assaulting a man during a street fight in Stockholm in June. Rocky was not present for the verdict.

Despite the guilty verdict, the Rocky was given a suspended sentence with time served. He does not need to return to Sweden and will not face any jail time, nor will he have to do any community service.

However, he will be required to pay restitution to the victim and cover Sweden’s court costs. The amount of these damages was not announced.

The crux of the case was based on prosecutors’ claim that Rocky threw a glass bottle at the victim and injured him. Rocky admitted to having the bottle for protection, but said he never threw it.

With no witnesses to substantiate the claim, the judges ruled that prosecutors did not prove Rocky threw the bottle.

The judges also ruled that Rocky and his crew “were not in a situation where they were entitled to self-defense” as their lawyers argued.

Shortly after the June brawl, Rocky stated on social media that he and his crew were followed and harassed by his accuser for several blocks. Video footage shows the “victim” being the aggressor in the situation.

Rocky was locked up in a Swedish jail for nearly a month, being held without a charge for most of that time.

The case became an international issue with even President Donald Trump personally advocating on Rocky’s behalf to Sweden’s prime minister.

Rocky was finally released and allowed to come back to the U.S. earlier this month.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of my fans, friends and anyone across the globe who supported me during these last few weeks,” Rocky said to his supporters after his trial. “I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for all of you. This has been a very difficult and humbling experience.”

Rocky gave his first performance since returning to the States over the weekend. He performed at the inaugural Real Street Festival in Anaheim, CA with A$AP Ferg and Tyler, the Creator.

T-Pain Says He Went From $40 Million in His Bank Account to Having to Borrow Money for Burger King

If you ever need advice on what not to do if you ever find yourself with a large amount of money, just ask T-Pain, who recently admitted that he blew threw $40 million and was so broke at one point that he had to ask for money just to buy food from Burger King.

The 33-year-old rap-singer recently paid a visit to The Breakfast Club and opened up about his financial ups and downs, saying that he’s “been on each end of the spectrum.”

“So now I know what the high end is and what the low end is,” he told co-hosts Charlamagne tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee. “I’ve been mega-rich, you know, I’ve been super broke, right in the middle of thinking I was mega-rich, and then got rich again, and you know learned how to really give a sh*t about money.”

T-Pain said there was a point in time when he didn’t even want access to his bank account information, which ultimately led to him spending large sums of cash without realizing how quickly he was depleting his funds.

After a number of failed investments and lavish purchases, not to mention the fact that he wasn’t keeping track of his finances, Teddy Verseti said his bank account quickly went from $40 million to zero dollars.

Putting the state of his low bank account in perspective, T-Pain explained: “I, like, had to borrow money to get my kids Burger King.”

Fortunately, these days, Teddy Verseti is in a much better place financially, and he’s a lot more conscious of his spending habits.

“Once you give a sh*t about the money you’re making, then, you know what I’m saying, you feel much better about your accomplishments, you feel much better about what you’re doing, you start paying attention to your work that makes you money,” he said.

R. Kelly’s Lawyer Says the Singer is Miserable in Jail: “He’s Not a Fighter. I’ve Seen Him Cry”

R. Kelly’s attorney says the disgraced singer is having a rough time in jail, and things are so bad that he’s actually seen him cry about everything that’s going on.

Because of the high-profile nature of Kelly’s case (and the fact that Kelly himself is a famous celebrity), he’s been placed in solitary confinement, and he’s not doing too well.

“I’ve seen him get very emotional,” Kelly’s lawyer Stephen Greenberg told the Chicago Sun-Times while giving an update on the singer’s condition behind bars.

“He’s dealing with a lot of stories that have been made up,” Greenberg added. “He’s not a fighter. I’ve seen him cry when he talks about the situation.”

R. Kelly (real name: Robert Sylvester Kelly) is facing charges for sex crimes in multiple states and jurisdictions. He was recently charged in Minnesota for allegedly molesting a teen and paying her $20.

Kelly is currently being held at the federal Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York—coincidentally, the same place where fellow accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was being held before he killed himself.

Greenberg described his client as “a soft-spoken guy” who is basically illiterate.

He said Kelly “has a stage persona who is used to having people around him all the time. His life in solitary is now minus TV. No radio. No music. And no books.”

Greenberg added: “He’s also a spiritual guy, has a Bible with him in his cell, but he can’t read it. It’s basically there for comfort.

“Now he’s been placed in the MCC’s ‘SHU’ — a cell in solitary confinement away from the jail population and is constantly being moved from cell to cell. He has only the guards to talk to.”

Despite the lack of human contact, Greenberg said Kelly does hear from his fans constantly, and he says the messages are “97% positive.”

Greenberg said Kelly isn’t able to read the letters in their entirety, but he is able to recognize a few words and writes some words phonetically. “And, I swear, every time I visit him, he’s dressed in a different colored jail suit,” Greenberg added.

Greenberg also said Kelly gets regular visits from his alleged sex slaves, 23-year-old Joycelyn Savage and 21-year-old Azriel Clary, though they aren’t able to see each other in person, only through video.

“One of his two girlfriends [Joycelyn Savage, 23, and Azriel Clary, 21, who live with him at the Trump Tower] just visited the jail — I don’t know which one, but they can only visit via video. Only his lawyers can see him face to face in solitary.”

Kelly also recently had a visit from a family member.

“His uncle … the one he calls Uncle Bug,” Greenberg said. “Everybody in his world of family or close friends he seems to call ‘Bug’ or ‘June,'”

Greenberg said Kelly has been sent “more money online to buy food from the jail commissary than he’ll ever spend,” so at least he can eat good. Or at least as good as prison commissary allows.

Todd & Julie Chrisley Facing Up to 30 Years in Prison After Being Indicted for Bank Fraud & Tax Evasion

“Chrisley Knows Best” stars Todd and Julie Chrisley have been charged with multiple federal crimes and could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted.

According to an indictment (via The Blast) filed on Tuesday (Aug. 12) in the Northern District of Georgia, the Chrisleys were charged with 11 counts related to bank fraud and tax evasion.

Officials claim Todd and Julie set up a production company, called 7C’s Productions, which served as a loan-out company for all the money earned through their popular reality show, “Chrisley Knows Best,” which airs on the USA Network.

The documents claim millions of dollars were deposited into the production company account over the years, but the reality stars did not file tax returns in time for 2014, 2015 or 2016.

When the taxes were paid, officials claim the numbers are bogus and that actual amounts were falsified as to mask how much money was actually owed.

Officials claim that “throughout the conspiracy,” Todd and Julie knowingly went on lavish spending sprees, dropping thousands of dollars at electronic stores, luxury retail stores and other purchases … but claimed they did not have enough cash to pay off their outstanding tax debt.

They also allege Julie falsified financial documents by physically cutting and gluing figures from different documents.

The Chrisley’s, who also have a spinoff show, “Growing Up Chrisley,” allegedly said they could not afford to pay their taxes, but officials had been watching their spending and believe they were lying.

Todd claims much of the evidence against him was falsified by an ex-employee, and officials lay out some of the evidence they collected in the case, including text messages and emails from Todd allegedly instructing the man to commit fraud.

One such message, allegedly sent from Todd, reads, “you are a f—ing genius!” when responding to a conversation about fabricating documents for a gigantic loan.

Another message, allegedly from Todd, states that he is unhappy with the ability to falsify information.

The message reads,

“giving me an excuse as to why you can not [sic] figure this out does not move it off your plate., this is not what we discussed, passing it back and forth is not getting the results requested, if you do not know how to do this then find a crooked accountant to do it. Ask [redacted] who her guy uses for his crooked shit.”

Todd denies all the allegations and is adamant the evidence submitted to the feds has been fabricated.

Watch Oprah & Gayle King Hilariously Try to Define Popular Slang Terms: “Are We No Longer Saying Turnt?”

So, I never thought watching Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King define slang words was something that I needed in my life until right now!

In a new hilarious edition of their O magazine web segment, “OG Chronicles,” the two besties tested their knowledge of contemporary slang terms like “lit,” “secure the bag,” “wig snatched,” “clapback” and “snack.”

Watch the clip below and get your life!

King was confident that she would be able to define most of the terms, while Oprah wasn’t as optimistic. “You can’t slang shame!” she proclaimed.

The CBS This Morning anchor did, in fact, hold her own, correctly defining “thirst trap” and “receipts.” And Oprah mostly agreed with whatever King said. “We’re both thick,” King even joked at one point.

However, there was some confusion about “snack.”

“Oh, I just had lunch with somebody who’s a real snack,” Oprah said once told what the term meant. “He was more than a snack. That was a meal,” she continued.

“He’s a whole buffet” King chimed in lustfully.

The funny clip coincides with Orpah and King’s first joint cover of O magazine. The longtime BFFs were the perfect choices for the friendship-themed September issue.

Better yet, “OG Chronicles” is a regular segment the began in January of this year. Oprah and King have discussed everything from relationships to family drama. The videos are available on the O magazine YouTube channel.

Kandi Burruss Says Nene Leakes is “Putting Forth the Effort” to Repair Her Broken RHOA Relationships

Nene Leakes ended season 11 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta feuding with literally everyone. Though she had a slow start, Nene is reportedly attempting to make amends with some of her former friends.

Kandi Burruss attended BeautyCon LA last week and spoke with HollywoodLife. She revealed that she’s in a good place with Nene who has been “putting for the effort” in getting along with the cast.

“Yes, which is shocking but I am getting along with NeNe right now, which is something that…NeNe is trying to work on some relationships in the group. We’ll see how it goes. She’s putting forth effort but everybody has to meet each other halfway.”

During the recent cast trip to Toronto, there were reports that Nene got into it with Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams, even almost coming to blows.

Kandi admitted that there “explosive moments” during the trip, which is too be expected on any Housewives getaway.

Flying back from Canada, Nene posted a long message on Instagram.

She wrote that she was trying to “make amends” with her castmates, but added: “some people play victim very well.”

Nene has been feuding with most of the cast and reportedly refused to film with Kenya and Porsha. She was noticeably absent from a cast photo Porsha shared from the Toronto trip.

Maybe the “explosive moments” Kandi mentioned led to some sort of a breakthrough with at least of one of Nene’s frenemies

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is expected to return later this year.

Moniece Slaughter Slams Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood Producers for Making Her Look Bad: “F**k Y’all!”

Moniece is not so happy with the way she’s being edited on her final season of Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood, and she’s calling out the producers.

In the show’s sixth season, Moniece is at odds with the father of her child Lil Fizz and his best friend/possible girlfriend, Apryl Jones.

Moniece has tried to confront the two about their relationship out of concern of her child, but has been met with denials and is being portrayed as an unstable, loose cannon.

Before signing on for the season, Moniece apparently told producers that she would only engage in the drama if her music was also featured. So, when her music was cut from a scene she shot with Apryl that aired in last night’s episode, she went off on social media.

“@vh1 better start telling the truth or I will I said the only way I’d even entertain dumb & dumber was if my music was at the forefront. My whole ass band was in that scene. We didn’t hear a lick of music,” she wrote on Instagram Story.

She also accused editors of taking her green screen confessional comments out of context because she refused to say what producers wanted her to say.

“In both of those green screens y’all took answers to completely different questions and put them in places where I refused to read what was on the paper.

“So. I’ve officially completed season 6. If you’ll cut that and manipulate my green screen answers that means that the rest of my music has also been cut and I’m abou to look like I give a f**k and I don’t. So I’ll just keep telling the truth on my own. F**k y’all.

Moniece also called out Dreux (Fizz) for claiming that he moved in with Apryl because he was going on tour and with B2K and had placed his belongings in storage.

According to Moniece, the real reason her baby daddy placed his stuff in storage was because his home was raided because he was allegedly selling drugs. She claims Fizz ran from the cops but eventually turned himself in and was released on bail.

“Tell the next lie. So I can expose that one too. I’ll wait,” she wrote.

Moniece has appeared on every season of Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood. However, last month she quit the show and revealed that season 6 will be her last.
