R. Kelly’s Ex-Girlfriend Dominique Gardner is Pregnant With Her First Child

One of the women who escaped R. Kelly’s harem is beginning a new chapter and moving forward with a new life in more ways than one.

Dominique Gardner—who broke free from the “Pied Piper” last year—is pregnant with her first child. The happy news was shared by her mother, Michelle Kramer, on social media.

“I’m a proud MiMi again…Life goes on after surviving R. Kelly,” Kramer wrote on social media with a photo featuring herself, Gardner, and Van Johnson of Black Ink Crew: Chicago.

She later edited the post to clarify that Johnson is not the father of Gardner’s baby. “We are fans. He’s not the father,” she wrote. The baby’s father hasn’t been announced.

Kramer was featured in the docu-series Surviving R. Kelly as she shared her daughter’s story and tried to rescue her daughter from Kelly’s control.

She was shown going to a hotel where her daughter and several of Kelly’s other girlfriends were staying and bringing her daughter home.

Three days after being home, Gardner briefly returned to be with Kelly, but eventually left him for good.

Gardner, 27, first became sexually involved with Kelly in 2009 when she was just 17 years old. She met the singer through another fan on Myspace and lived with him for nine years … until her mother found her.

Gardner shared details of her experience with Kelly in a New Yorker interview earlier this year.

She said he was extremely controlling and the that he tried to mentally break her, but she didn’t want him to have that much power over her.

“I loved him to death…It was just the fact that he tried to break me. I couldn’t be broken. He wanted that control over me, and I wouldn’t give him that power. So he figured, like, if I don’t give her food, she’ll come around. Nope. I’d rather die than come around and give you my soul.

“I couldn’t even have a drink without his permission. I’m a grown woman, and I’ve gotta ask you if I want a drink? Everything you do, you have to ask him. That’s not living, that’s not normal. I’ve got to ask to use the bathroom? Are you serious? I’m about to pee myself if I can’t get in contact with you. What is this?”

She also revealed that the singer became physical with her on at least on occasion.

“He grabbed me and he pulled my hair out, and I had, like, patches torn from my hair,” she said. “[I] felt as [if] we disrespected him or disobeyed him, it’s like a parent when your children go against your word.”

A New Jersey woman is facing some pretty serious charges after police say she tried to kill a man by setting his house on fire after he stood her up on a late-night booty call.

29-year-old Taija M. Russell of Blackwood, New Jersey was arrested Tuesday (Aug. 13) on several felony charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated arson and aggravated assault for the August 4th incident, which left the man with first-and second-degree burns.

According to New Jersey’s Star-Ledger:

The man described Russell as a “side chick” in a police report on the incident. Police were alerted to the fire around 4:30 a.m. when the man ran into the Woodbury police station lobby wearing only a T-shirt and covered in soot.

Coughing and out of breath, he told them he had just escaped from his burning home a short distance away on South Barber Street.

After firefighters doused the blaze and rescued the victim’s dog, investigators determined the fire was an arson. A review of messages on the man’s phone and surveillance video led police to Russell, according to the criminal complaint.

The victim told police he had invited her to his house for sex, but fell asleep before she arrived.

A review of his phone showed eight missed calls from Russell, police said, along with text messages in which she wrote “You wasted my money to come out here,” “U smoked,” “I see you wanna die,” and “I swear to god I hope you die.”

Police obtained security camera video showing her purchasing lighter fluid, matches and a lighter from a nearby gas station. Other video shows her return to the residence and head to the back door, the only entrance to the residence, with the items. By 4:08 a.m., the house was ablaze.

The man awoke to find the house burning and tried to leave through the door, but the flames were too intense. He was able to escape through a window, but suffered burns to his hands and body, and smoke inhalation.

Russell was arrested Tuesday and placed in Salem County Correctional Facility pending hearings. She is also charged with aggravated assault, endangering/creating substantial risk of death and criminal mischief.

Uber Driver Found Guilty of Raping Drunk Passenger & Then Charging Her $150 for Throwing Up in His Car

A Pennsylvania jury took just three hours to convict an Uber driver of raping an intoxicated woman who he was supposed to be taking home.

On Thursday (Aug. 15), 27-year-old Ahmed Elgaafary was convicted of rape of an unconscious person, sexual assault, and indecent assault.

He will be sentenced at a later date. A Chester County District Attorney says Elgaafary will most likely then be deported to Egypt where he is a citizen.

The rape occurred in February in the backseat of Elgaafary’s car. He picked up the victim from Valley Forge Casino Resort—just north of Philadelphia—and was to drive her home.

Prosecutors argued the Uber driver extended the 15-minute drive into 53 minutes and took advantage of the woman’s intoxicated state.

He dropped her off at home, charged her for the longer ride and even added an extra $150 for vomiting in his car.

“She should have been safe,” Assistant District Attorney Vincent Robert Cocco said. “He knew she was vulnerable. He knew she was alone. He knew she was too drunk.”

The victim testified that she couldn’t remember anything between leaving the casino around 2 a.m. and waking up the next day, but felt that something bad had happened because she had bruises on her thighs. She went to the hospital to get a rape kit.

Elgaafary initially denied a sexual encounter even took place. He eventually admitted one occurred after DNA from the rape kit was linked to him, but claimed that is was consensual.

On the stand, Elgaafary also admitted to knowing the woman was drunk. His lawyer argued the victim seduced him and that he initially lied to authorities because he didn’t want to admit that he cheated on his pregnant wife.

“He cheated on his wife. He’s not a rapist. He’s not a criminal,” his lawyer said in court.

Following the verdict, Uber released a statement confirming that Elgaafary was “permanently removed” as a driver.

The Jussie Smollett of Hip-Hop? Tekashi 6ix9ine Allegedly Faked Kidnapping to Generate Buzz for New Album

In news that should probably surprise no one, Tekashi 6ix9ine is being accused of faking his own kidnapping for clout … which would essentially make him the Jussie Smollett of hip-hop.

Page Six reports that a defense attorney for one of the men accused of participating in the July 2018 alleged abduction and robbery says the whole thing was orchestrated by the “FEFE” rapper himself in a desperate attempt to promote his new album.

“No robbery or kidnapping or assault happened,” said Devereaux Cannick, the defense attorney for Tekashi’s alleged kidnapper Anthony “Harv” Ellison.

“He was about to drop another album,” Cannick said of 6ix9ine. “Gotta get that buzz up. That’s how he makes money.”

The comments were made Friday (Aug. 17) during a hearing when a Manhattan federal court pushed the trial for Ellison and his alleged accomplice and fellow Nine Trey Gangsta Blood Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack back to September 16th.

Cannick also claimed Friday that the car used to kidnap the rainbow-tressed rapper had been inexplicably wired by the government ahead of time, meaning the entire incident was recorded.

“We believe that’s going to be very useful to us,” the attorney said with a smile.

He added that Tekashi’s Instagram account appeared to show him unscathed in the days following the allegedly orchestrated attack.

Following his guilty plea earlier this year to federal racketeering charges, Tekashi (real name: Daniel Hernandez) is expected to testify as a government cooperator against Ellison and Mack, who have both pleaded not guilty and face up to life behind bars if convicted.

Brian McKnight Responds to His Kids Saying He Abandoned Them: “I’ve Never Missed a Child Support Payment”

Brian McKnight is responding to claims by his own kids that he is a deadbeat father and abandoned them years ago.

Earlier this week, McKnight’s son, Brian McKnight Jr (aka BJ) slammed his father on Instagram for abandoning him and his siblings.

McKnight’s sister, Briana, echoed her brother’s anger and sadness in a post of her own, revealing that she has always felt that she’s second place in her father’s heart.

McKnight shared a video message on Instagram Friday night (Aug. 16), to share his side of the story.

He called his children’s allegations “heinous” and suggested they have resentment and jealousy because he cut them off financially.

“I’m not abandoning them. We are estranged,” he said in the video he captioned “Today’s Nonsense.”

“Anyone who knows me knows that for the past 30 years, that I’ve been there for my children every step of the way, until recently…I’ve never done anything adverse to my children whatsoever.

“I’ve always been there for advice, whether they took it or not. I have always been the sounding board, I have always been the one that tried to help them achieve whatever dreams they wanted to reach out for.”

In the seven-minute video, the singer says his relationship with BJ became strained when he cut him off financially and gave him two years to get a job and become financially independent.

McKnight’s new wife, Dr. Leilani Mendoza, even offered BJ and his brother jobs at the children’s hospital where she works, but they declined because, according to McKnight, the didn’t want to stop smoking weed. He called the rejection a “spit in her face.”

There also may be tension because of Leilani, whom McKnight married in 2017. BJ and Briana are both from his first marriage, Julie McKnight.

The “Back to One” singer accused BJ or breaking into his home, breaking a wedding photo of McKnight and Leilani, and replacing it with a photo of Julie.

“And let’s be clear, Leilani has been one of the only people who has been an advocate to keeping us together, to keeping us having a relationship,” he said in defense of Leilani. “She wants to have the nuclear family as much as I did.”

As for his relationship with Briana, he says everything broke down after he called child protective services because he believed his daughter was having a sexual relationship with an older cousin. After the incident, Briana stopped talking to him and Julie blocked him on social media.

McKnight says that he never missed a child support payment when his children were younger. He now feels they are too entitled because of the lifestyle he provided them, which prompted him to cut off the additional financial support.

However, we should note that McKnight just gifted his stepson and a brand new car, which he believes prompted the public rants from BJ and Briana.

BJ has made his Instagram private, but his post has been shared by other accounts. He wrote in part:

“Its hard not to imagine the psyche of a man who can truly just turn his back on his actual sons, on his actual blood,and creations. It’s mind boggling to me.

“I don’t think there is any situation that merits the way my father has chosen to treat my brother, my sisters, and his grandchildren…It breaks my heart, but not for myself, specifically for my siblings, and my children. They don’t deserve this at all, not open bit. And I’m not letting shit slide, not for one second.”

“‘Daddy’s little girl’ was never really a thing for me,” Briana began in her own post sharing her experience with her father.

She continued in part:

“I grew up thinking that the things that happened to me and my dad’s relationship was my fault. I grew up thinking that he doesn’t want to come to visit me because he doesn’t love me.

“Constantly put behind other kids that he would call his own while I’m cast into a land far far away in the back of his mind. It sucks knowing that someone else, who’s not even blood related to you comes before you in every single way.”

Triple Six fans have been calling for a reunion of sorts for a while now.

Juicy J revealed the possibility of one in an interview last October.

“I mean, I love those guys when we started something, you know? I would love to do something with those guys, man,” he told Beats 1 Radio’s Zane Lowe.

“We just need to sit down, you know, figure it out. But it’s all good, no bad blood, all love. I love all those guys.”

Sadly, during their 7-year hiatus, original group member Lord Infamous died of a heart attack in 2013.

And Koopsta Knicca, another Three 6 OG, passed away in 2015 after spending several days in urgent care following a stroke and aneurysm, so it will be interesting to see how they’ll be tributed on the tour.

Boosie Badazz Charged With 2 Felonies in Georgia for 11 Grams of Weed

Yes, you read that headline right. Boosie Badazz is facing not just one, but two FELONY marijuana possession charges in Georgia, because apparently, Georgia is an awful place to get caught with drugs if you’re a convicted felon.

TMZ reports:

The D.A. in Coweta County slapped the Louisiana rapper with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.

When you see it’s less than an ounce of weed, ya might think it’s not that serious, but Georgia ain’t Colorado or California — it still takes marijuana very seriously.

We don’t care how “seriously” Georgia takes marijuana charges. Less than an ounce of weed should never bring felony charges under any circumstance, convicted felon or not. It’s just a lil weed, guys.

As for how Boosie got charged in the first place, he was arrested in Newnan, Georgia back in April after getting pulled over after a cop saw the white Dodger Charger he was driving swerving in and out of lanes and nearly sideswiping another vehicle.

The cop said Boosie’s car reeked of weed, and after searching the vehicle, police found a small bag with approximately 11 grams of marijuana and a loaded 9mm handgun under the passenger seat where a man who he said was his bodyguard was sitting.

Police also found about $20,000 in cash, a vape pen and what appears to be a mostly smoked blunt (see below).

Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule one drug, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Boosie was also hit with a failure to maintain lane charge. He was freed the next day on $3,500 bond.

Fortunately for Boosie, however, prosecutors decided not to charge him for the gun possession. He’s a convicted felon, so a gun charge would be far from in his best interest.

Boosie’s bodyguard, Antonio Allen (no, not the football player Antonio Allen, we already went through that), is also facing the same two felony drug charges. TMZ didn’t say whether Allen’s gun charges were dropped as well.

Veteran New Orleans Anchor Nancy Parker Killed in Stunt Plane Crash While Filming TV Segment

A longtime, popular anchor at a New Orleans news station was among two people killed Friday afternoon (Aug. 16) when a small plane crashed near the city’s Lakefront Airport.

Nancy Parker was filming for a news segment to air on Fox 8 when the stunt plane she was flying in crashed.

The plane’s pilot, Franklin J.P. Augustus, was also killed in the crash, which happened just after 3 p.m.

Parker, 53, had worked at Fox 8 for 23 years. She’s survived by her husband and three children.

“Today we mourn the loss of our longtime colleague and friend Nancy Parker,” FOX 8 wrote in a post on Facebook. “Details have not been released by authorities, but we can confirm she passed away in [a] plane crash while covering a story at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport.”

The post continued: “Nancy was a part of the FOX 8 family for the last 23 years. She put her heart and soul into her work, covering thousands of stories and touching countless lives. She made a difference in the lives of those she reported on. She will be sorely missed, and her absence creates a void that cannot be filled.”

“Nancy was absolutely a joy to work with each and every day,” FOX 8 Vice President and General Manager Tim Ingram said in a statement.

“We lost a wonderful journalist and remarkable friend, the New Orleans television community lost a true treasure, but beyond that, her family lost a wife, a mother and daughter. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.”

Gayle Benson, owner of the New Orleans Saints, said Parker will be “sadly missed.”

“On behalf of my late husband Tom, to the family of WVUE-FOX 8, we offer our deepest sympathy to the tragic loss of Nancy Parker,” she said.

“Nancy was an outstanding, Emmy Award-winning news anchor, who fostered great trust with both those who she covered and with her viewers in the New Orleans area.”

Benson added: “Not only was she a leader in local television, she was a devoted wife to her husband Glynn and mother to their three beautiful children; Parker, Piper, and Pierce.

“She was a dear friend and a frequent guest at local philanthropic lunches and at our family farm in Kentucky. She will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Nancy’s family.”

New Orleans Homeland Security Director Collin Arnold said the plane crash caused a fire.

A statement from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) statement said the plane was a 1983 Pitts S-2B aircraft that crashed in an empty field about a half-mile south of New Orleans Lakefront Airport under unknown circumstances.

Associated Press photographer Gerald Herbert, who is also a pilot and has a hanger at Lakefront Airport, went to the crash site and described charred debris lying near a fence in a grassy field (pictured above).

“It looks like the plane is completely charred,” he said.

Fox 8 reported that the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) was sending investigators to New Orleans to investigate the crash.

“The Proud Family” is Returning to TV With Brand New Episodes on Disney+

More than a decade after Disney’s The Proud Family went off the air, it’s being reported that the series will be returning to TV with brand new episodes set to air on Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+.

The exciting news was revealed by actor Tommy Davidson, who voiced family patriarch Oscar Proud in the 2000s animated series.

“I forgot to tell you that, The Proud Family is coming back,” Davidson said at the premiere of 47 Meters Down: Uncaged.

“It’s on one of Disney’s streaming [services]. Yeah, Proud Family’s coming back. They told me not to tell you. New episodes.”

The Proud Family ran for over 50 episodes between 2001 and 2005 on the Disney Channel.

The show, which broke barriers with its multiracial cast, tells the story of family-oriented teen Penny Proud (voiced by Kyla Pratt) and the misadventures of her friends Dijonay (Karen Malina White), Zoey (Soleil Moon Frye), Sticky (Orlando Brown) and “frenemy” LaCienega (Alisa Reyes).

Paula Jai Parker starred as family matriarch Trudy Proud alongside Joe Marie Payton as the sassy poodle-owning grandmother Henrietta “Suga Mama” Proud.

The show’s theme song was famously performed by Solange and Destiny’s Child.

Disney+ is set to launch on November 12th priced at $6.99 per month. There’s also the option of bundling the service with Hulu and ESPN+ for $12.99 a month.

The Feds Reportedly Have R. Kelly’s Health Records That Prove He Has an Incurable STD

Federal officials have reportedly obtained R. Kelly’s health records, further proving allegations that the disgraced singer has an incurable sexually transmitted disease that he exposed his alleged victims to.

According to Bossip, Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Geddes wrote in an August 15th letter to Kelly’s lawyers that her office was in possession of Kelly’s health and medical records from Walgreens, University Health Systems and Urgent Care, which adds weight to allegations that he knowingly infected at least one woman with herpes.

Kelly’s attorneys, however, have shot down the accusations, saying that there is “zero evidence” that the singer infected the alleged victim with the incurable STD.

Aside from Kelly’s medical records, Geddes also said officials have bank statements and receipts for hotel stays, Ubers and air travel—all evidence that proves Kelly and at least one of his employees transported victims from state-to-state … which is basically sex trafficking.

The feds also have reportedly issued search warrants to Apple and AT&T to gain access to Kelly’s phone records to help their case.

Authorities say Kelly headed a criminal enterprise that funneled young girls from all over the country to him to be sexually assaulted.

Kelly was indicted earlier this year on charges of racketeering, violating the Mann Act, kidnapping and forced labor.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges last month and requested bail, but was denied because the judge is worried he may try to bribe or intimidate witnesses.

R. Kelly—who is facing sex crime charges in multiple jurisdictions (New York federal court, Illinois federal court, Illinois state court and Minnesota state court)—is currently being held in an Illinois jail.

Video of Alexis Skyy’s Boyfriend Trouble Gripping Her Neck As She Uncomfortably Smiles Has Fans Concerned

Alexis Skyy is dating a rapper named Trouble, but some fans are concerned the model may actually be in trouble.

Just over a week after a disturbing video of Alexis using a cucumber on another woman at Trouble’s pool party went viral, another video featuring the couple is setting off alarm bells.

While partying at a Miami club, Trouble is caught on video gripping Alexis’ throat rather tightly. Smiling uncomfortably, she tries to pull his hand away, but the Atlanta rapper does not budge.

“I let him tell me what to do,” she tells the person recording. “I follow his lead.”

Trouble posted the video on his own Instagram account with the caption, “It’s called daddy.” In a separate post, he shared photos with his hand around Alexis’ neck and wrote: “When she think she bout to have a #hotgirlsummer.”

The throat grab may have been playful (or even sexual in nature), but some fans expressed their concern on social media.

Alexis and Trouble made their relationship official about two weeks ago. Shortly afterward, the Love & Hip-Hop star was the talk of Twitter as the cucumber video circulated.

The incident took place at Trouble’s cucumber-themed party, which was inspired by the #CucumberChallenge he reportedly started.

Missing Pregnant Georgia Teen Found Buried in Woods After Mom Begged Her to Leave Abusive Fiancé

The body of a pregnant teen was found buried in the woods earlier this week after being reported missing for seven days. Her fiancé has been arrested for her murder.

Georgia police found 19-year-old Téa Choates’ body on Tuesday (Aug. 13), buried in the woods near the home she shared with fiancé Aldeyshaun Locklear and her grandmother.

According to her mother, Ebony King, Choates was three months pregnant at the time of her death.

On Wednesday (Aug. 14), Locklear confessed to strangling Choates to death after an argument and burying her in the woods.

He was charged with felony murder, aggravated assault related to strangulation, and concealing a death.

He’s being held without a bond. And it’s unclear if he’s entered a plea to the charges or if he’s being represented by a lawyer.

Despite Locklear’s confession, an official cause of death has not been revealed.

Choates’ mother, Ebony King, had repeatedly tried to convince her daughter to leave Locklear because of his abusive behavior, the first indent occurring in March.

King even suggested Choates come live with her in Florida, where she runs a home for girls rescued from human trafficking and domestic abuse. Her daughter briefly considered it, but decided to work on the relationship.

“She loved him,” King told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “She wanted to stay, no matter what I would say to her. She really just wanted the family.”

King and her husband also confronted Locklear about being abusive. Via text message, he professed his love for Choates to King and promised it wouldn’t happen again.

King says her daughter wanted to “change” Locklear.

“Téa’s biggest thing was she would say, ‘I could change him, I can help him,'” King said. “That’s how her heart was built … but you can’t love a person hard enough to change.”

3-Year-Old Dies in Car Fire in Texas, Dad Detained for Questioning

Police in Plainview, Texas say a 3-year-old child died in a car fire Friday afternoon (Aug. 16).

Plainview police said the child was sitting in a car seat in the back of a silver Chrysler that caught on fire.

According to witnesses, a man ran into the Galaxy Vape store, near I-27 and 5th Street, and several men ran out trying to get into the car, but it was already engulfed in flames.

The men tried to use their shirts to open the doors and also tried to bust out the back window, but it was too late.

Police said the child’s father was on the scene and had been “detained for further investigation,” KCBD reported.

Jay-Z Reportedly to Become Part Owner of NFL Team

Jay-Z is set to become a part-owner of an NFL team, according to a report from TMZ.

Sources connected to Jay and with direct knowledge tell us … Jay is going to have a “significant ownership interest” in an NFL team.

As for which team … we’re not being told, but we are told “it is going to happen in the near future.”

We’re told Jay wants to become a part owner “because he’s a huge fan, already has a sports business and wants to continue to be a change agent for the NFL.”

There’s a question … can Jay manage players if he owns a team? Our sources make it clear … “Jay is not an NFL agent and does not take part in the operations of the NFL players in Roc Nation.”

If this is true, this would be huge, because Jay-Z would be the NFL’s first black owner.

This would also explain his recent partnership with the NFL and his Roc Nation entertainment company, which was announced Wednesday (Aug. 14) and has been heavily criticized (Re: Colin Kaepernick) in the days since.

Veteran Actor Peter Fonda Dead at 79 From Lung Cancer

Hollywood icon Peter Fonda has died at the age of 79.

The veteran actor’s publicist confirmed his death to TMZ, saying that the actor was surrounded by family as he passed away Friday morning (Aug. 16) at his home in Los Angeles.

Fonda’s official cause of death was respiratory failure from lung cancer. His rep said he had been in and out of the hospital recently.

Peter Fonda is the brother of legendary actress Jane Fonda and the son of the iconic actor Henry Fonda.

Peter is best known for his own iconic role in the 1969 film Easy Rider, which he co-wrote and produced.

The film earned Peter an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay in 1970, and in 1998, he received a Best Actor nomination for his role in Ulee’s Gold. He won a Golden Globe in 2000 for The Passion of Ayn Rand.

Easy Rider‘s 50th anniversary was July 14th, and Peter had reportedly been planning a concert and screening for September.

Charlamagne Tha God Says Nicki Minaj Was “Never Banned” From ‘The Breakfast Club’

Charlamagne Tha God is a little confused by Nicki Minaj’s recent attacks against him and his radio show, The Breakfast Club.

The radio host denied Nicki’s claim that she was banned from the show and that he enjoys it when a guest says something negative about her on-air.

“There was never a problem with her. We never banned her from the radio station,” Charlamagne told Page Six. “There is not a consequence to what she has said now, or in the past. I don’t know why she is saying that.”

He also said that he was surprised that Nicki held such animosity against him and the show because the two have previously communicated with each other. “[We] talk on the phone,” he said. “We text each other.”

“I would be happy and welcome her to come on the show,” Charlamagne said, but also added that “rappers are going to be rappers.”

Nicki went off on several people earlier this week on her Queen Radio Beats 1 show, including Joe Budden, Rick Ross and Trina’s A&R team.

As for Charlamagne, she accused him of starting a “hate train” against her.

Charlamagne responded on TBC by revealing he and Nicki have had private discussions about this particularly issue and stated that he only has love and respect for her.

“The moral of the story is I love Nicki Minaj,” he said on the show. “I have gotten on this radio a million times and said this whole new wave of female rap is because of Nicki Minaj. She is the leader of the new school when it comes to female emcees and nobody can take that away from her.”

Nicki wasn’t hearing it though. She slammed Charlamagne again via Twitter and made the claim that she had been banned from The Breakfast Club.

“Charlemagne [sic] get so excited when he thinks some1 bout to say smthn negative about me. that tail get to wagging, that lil p**sy get to poppin, he get to giggling” she wrote. “They banned me from the show but always talkn bout me.”

Though Nicki said she wanted an invite on the show to discuss the matter on-air, she’s yet to publicly accept Charlamagne’s invite.

Shawnna Wants to Be Tagged Into the Female Rap Beef With Nicki Minaj

Say what you will about Nicki Minaj, but the girl knows how to stir the pot and create a buzz.

When she appeared on the Joe Budden podcast, Nicki made it clear that when it comes to ranking herself as one of the greats in hip-hop, she is putting herself in the top ten rappers in the game, regardless of gender.

“I definitely rate myself top 10. Dead or alive. Men and women. I don’t think that there’s a woman alive seeing me. I don’t give a fuck what nobody say,” Nicki said.

“And people always try to say, ‘Oh, because you talk about p**sy or whatever.’ Yo, shut the f**k up. I could talk about p**sy, I could talk about the moon, the sky, every mother f**king thing under this f**king moon and rap circles around bitches heads. I don’t give a f**k. And rapping fast don’t mean you can rap, so shut the f**k up.”

Well, that part about rapping fast offended the sensibilities of one female rapper who most of us thought we left behind in the 2000s. If your first thought was Da Brat, you’re incorrect. It’s actually Ludacris’ one-time protégé, Shawnna.

Somehow, someway, Shawnna was given radio airtime and she took that opportunity to state plainly that she’d love to beef with Nicki on wax.

“I saw an interview from a female artist the other day and since she didn’t say no names, I ain’t gon’ say no names,” said Shawnna. “When we get ready to say names, then we gon’ pick the beat and we gon’ hit the booth. No ghost writers, you feel what I’m sayin’?”

I hate to break it to Ms. Gettin’ Some, but it’s highly unlikely that Nicki was concerned about Shawnna from DTP taking her spot in the rap game.

Twitter also had a good laugh at Shawnna’s inflated sense of relevance and worth and had a good ole time at her expense.

I’m going to assume that Nicki will wisely ignore this challenge because there has to be a Billboard threshold before Nicki even considers acknowledging another female rapper as her competition.

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj Trade Shady, Subtle Digs at Each Other on Social Media

After calling a truce after their last tiff on social media, it seems like Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are back to taking sly digs at each other once again.

Nicki Minaj has been on a tear this week, with an explosive episode of Queen Radio where she cursed Joe Budden out, which was immediately followed by an appearance on Joe Budden’s podcast where she confidently said she considered herself among the top 10 rappers in the game, male or female, and told Rick Ross to sit his “fat-ass down” for saying he told Meek not to trust Nicki in his 2017 song, “Apple of My Eye.”

In both her Queen Radio show and the Joe Budden interview, Cardi came up repeatedly.

She came up when Nicki argued with Joe about whether she knew Cardi was slated to be on the “MotorSport” record she did with the Migos or not.

And then she came up again when Nicki was on Budden’s podcast and she said, “I would feel so f**king crazy if I had number ones and Grammys and ain’t on nobody top 50 list.”

Cardi B won a Grammy earlier this year for her debut album, Invasion of Privacy.

Because Nicki didn’t name names, Cardi B also didn’t name names when she posted this Instagram post, which featured a clip of Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed” music video with this caption: “Have you ever had somebody sooo obsessed with you ? Shit starts to feel a little creepy ? truly spooky.”

This is a double-edged hit because if you’ll recall, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj aren’t too fond of each other either after they fell out over their brief stint as judges on American Idol.

Because the Barbz never sleep, their antennas went up at Cardi’s social media shade and they alerted their Queen Bee who began to formulate a petty, subtle response of her own.

It began by posting this throwback picture of herself.

The image was posted on her IG story and also changed to her default profile picture on IG and Twitter.

If you’re wondering, what the hell does this have to do with Cardi, allow me to explain.

Cardi was once caught stalking Nicki’s social media and looking at this picture in particular. Here’s the evidence:

So in essence, Nicki is saying, “Who’s obsessed with who?”

As if that slight shade wasn’t enough, Nicki changed her name on Twitter to Mrs. Petty.

WHEW.

While part of me is entertained, another part of me hates that Cardi and Nicki are back to openly knifing each other. The top women in rap really would be better off as allies than enemies.

Rick Ross Responds to Nicki Minaj Telling Him to Sit His “Fat Ass Down”

Rick Ross had nothing but nice things to say about Nicki Minaj in a recent interview, even though she recently told him to sit his “fat ass down” in response to him dissing her on a track years ago.

Back in 2017, after Nicki and Meek Mill had broken up, Ross briefly weighed in on the situation on a song called “Apple of My Eye.”

“I told Meek I wouldn’t trust Nicki,” he rapped. “Instead of beefin’ with your dog, you just give ’em some distance.”

It’s taken Nicki two years to respond to the perceived diss, but when she finally offered her opinion on Ross’ line, she went all the way in.

During an appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast Tuesday (Aug. 13), following her and Joe’s explosive showdown on Queen Radio the day prior, Nicki addressed Ross directly, and didn’t hold back one bit.

“When a grown-ass f**king man name-drops a woman to sell an album, when I was the only one in his corner when everyone turned their back on them, when everyone was calling them ‘Twitter-fingers’ and cracking up laughing at them? My n***a!” Nicki vented.

“I went and sat down in a meeting with Obama, President Obama, and Ross was there,” she revealed. “He texted dude after the meeting and said, ‘Yo, this chick is a keeper.’ I saw the text myself with my own eyes. ‘This chick is a keeper. She went in a room full of rappers and spoke to Obama and the first thing out of her mouth was about you and figuring out your probation situation and why you’re still on probation after all these years.'”

Nicki said Ross texted Meek after the meeting with President Obama and called her a “keeper.” So, imagine Nicki’s surprise when Ross dissed her on a track once things went sour between her and Meek.

“[He] texted dude after the meeting and said, ‘Yo, this chick is a keeper.’ I saw the text myself with my own eyes,” she said.

“And then you come out on an album, when it’s time to sell some weak-ass f**kin’ album, and try to disrespect Nicki Minaj? What? And now you try to disrespect 50? Try to hope 50 would respond to your nonsense this time? Boy, sit your fat ass down.”

Of course, Ross’ arch-nemesis 50 Cent chimed in, writing on Instagram: “Nicki be blacking out on these n***as. LOL”

And Rick Ross didn’t mind offering his own response either.

While on the promo trail for his new album Port of Miami 2, Ross dropped by The Breakfast Club Thursday morning (Aug. 15) and was asked by co-hosts DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God what he thought about Nicki’s belated response to his line about her.

“I mean, if somebody went to meet Obama with you, she is a keeper until you find out otherwise,” Ross said. “She was around me a few times but other than that, she was a huge talent but she was playing a very important position at the time.

“She was in between Meek and Drake at the time. And what she don’t know, and what she might not understand coming from a big homie like myself, playing that position, that was a very fragile role.”

The “Money in the Grave” rapper continued: “And it would be very easy to put that responsibility on her. But that ain’t what I tried to make it to. But most definitely when I seen it go sour, it would be easy to assume she may have had something to do with that and if somebody tells you they didn’t, they’re lying.”

“But everybody moved forward,” Rozay concluded. “She moved forward, she doing her thing. I’m happy to see her do that. Meek doing his thing. Drizzy, they doing they thing.”
