Gregory & Travis McMichael Arrested for Murder in Shooting Death of Ahmaud Arbery

Gregory and Travis McMichael have been arrested and charged for the death of Ahmaud Arbery, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations announced in a press release.

The white father-son duo who made headlines for chasing down and shooting an unarmed black man while he was jogging in a Georgia neighborhood were taken into police custody Thursday (May 7) and face charges of aggravated assault and murder.

Mugshots: Gregory & Travis McDaniel

Photos posted to social media show Gregory McMichael, 64, and son Travis, 34, being apprehended in front of a house.

Arbery, 25, was shot to death the afternoon of Sunday, February 23rd as he was running through the Satilla Shores neighborhood in Brunswick, Georgia.

Arbery’s family and friends say he was simply out jogging, while the McMichaels claimed to have acted in self-defense when they followed Arbery in their truck because they believed he was responsible for a string of burglaries in the area.

There is no evidence Arbery committed the burglaries.

“Earlier this week, I watched a video depicting Mr. Arbery’s last moments alive. It is absolutely horrific, and Georgians deserve answers,” Georgia Governor Brian Kemp said.

“I have confidence in Vic Reynolds and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. I know they will work around the clock to thoroughly and independently investigate Mr. Arbery’s death to find the truth. In these moments, please pray for his loved ones, the local community, and our state.”

Video footage released this week showed Ahmaud jogging down the street when he was stopped and confronted by Travis and Gregory McMichael, who were both armed with a shotgun and a pistol, respectively.

A brief struggle between Travis and Ahmaud ensued before Ahmaud fell to the ground after being shot. Gregory was in the back of the truck and the duo were being tailed by neighbor William Bryan, who filmed the video showing the shooting.

PREVIOUSLY: No Charges for White Father & Son Who Chased Down & Fatally Shot Black Man Jogging in South Georgia Neighborhood

Arbery’s case has been passed through three district attorneys in the two and a half months since he was gunned down.

Gregory Michael served as an investigator for the Glynn County District Attorney’s Office, but retired last year. The connection caused Glynn County D.A. Jackie Johnson to recuse herself from the case.

Ware County D.A. George E. Barnhill picked the case up after Johnson’s recusal and was later forced to recuse himself as well after Arbery’s mother found out that Barnhill’s son worked in the Brunswick District Attorney’s office (where Gregory McMichael once worked), but not before he determined that he saw “no grounds” to arrest the McMichaels on.

“It appears Travis McMichael, Greg McMichael and William Bryan were following in hot pursuit of a burglary suspect with solid first-hand probably cause,” Barnhill wrote in a memo.

“Arbery initiated the fight. … At that point, Arbery grabbed the shotgun (that Travis McMichael was holding). Under Georgia law, McMichael was allowed to use deadly force to protect himself.”

Barnhill added: “It appears it was their intent to stop and hold this criminal suspect until law enforcement arrived. Under Georgia law, that is perfectly legal.”

The decision not to arrest the McMichaels or Bryan sparked outrage nationwide, with attorneys for Arbery’s family saying he was racially profiled.

Local officials and community leaders said a history of nepotism and privilege within the district attorneys offices of Waycross and Brunswick is what has allowed the killers to remain free.

“You have relational connections that run back for generations,” said Rev. John Perry II, president of the Brunswick NAACP. “We believe the privilege of relationships caused the delay we are experiencing.”

Atlantic Judicial Circuit District Attorney Tom Durdan has since taken over as the third prosecutor to handle the case. After the video of Arbery’s shooting was released, he formally requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to look into the killing.

Durden had previously vowed to send the case to a grand jury to consider charges, but that may not have happened until June due to Georgia courts being closed because of the coronavirus.

Following the McMichaels’ arrest, the Georgia Attorney General’s Office released a statement saying: “We are grateful the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has taken quick and decisive action. This tragedy cannot be undone, but this is the first step in what I am confident will be a swift road to justice.”

Video Shows Alabama Cop Body Slamming Black Woman at Walmart for Not Wearing a Mask

A police officer in Birmingham, Alabama is under investigation after video footage surfaced showing him body-slamming a Walmart customer for allegedly refusing to wear a face mask.

According to AL.com, the incident happened Tuesday night (May 6) while the off-duty cop was moonlighting as a security guard at a Walmart in Roebuck.

The footage, which has been shared thousands of times on social media, shows the officer, who is black, attempting to handcuff a woman, also black, for not complying with orders to leave the store.

The cop then picks the women up in the air, flips her and violently slams her to the ground as other customers look on in shock.

A nearby woman could be seen and heard shouting at the security guard for slamming her friend’s head on the ground.

For what it’s worth, Alabama’s stay-at-home order amid the COVID-19 pandemic only recommends, not requires, that residents wear face coverings while out in public.

After the footage surfaced, Birmingham police spokesman, Sgt. Rod Mauldin, released a statement saying that the incident was being investigated.

“The same day the interaction occurred immediate actions were taken for the sake of public trust and transparency,” read Sgt. Mauldin’s statement.

“A preliminary investigation consistent with the Birmingham Police Department reportable use of force protocols were immediately initiated and investigators of the Internal Affairs Division are conducting an investigation. This protocol applies for all use of force incidents that occur within the Birmingham Police Department.

“We understand we are operating in trying times. The Birmingham Police Department has maintained a consistent community oriented educational approach to the surrounding circumstances of Covid-19. As a department we have been successful in our efforts to gain compliance and cooperation from the vast majority of citizens in Birmingham.

“Our records indicate, we have not issued any citations or made arrests as it relates to the shelter in place ordinance or the face covering ordinance. We have made a valiant effort to gain voluntary compliance and we will continue to work cohesively with the community.”

This particular incident comes just days after other videos have gone viral showing NYPD cops violently arresting black people for violating social distancing guidelines—a stark contrast to images showing white people in NYC parks violating those same guidelines, but being handed face masks instead of being violently apprehended.

Memphis Teen Shot to Death in McDonald’s Drive-Thru Days Before Graduation, Family Believes It Was a Setup

A Memphis teen is making headlines after she was shot and killed over the weekend in the drive-thru of a fast-food restaurant just weeks before she was supposed to graduate high school.

18-year-old Mya Taylor was shot to death at the McDonald’s on Winchester Road and Millbranch Road in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday (May 2).

The teen was in line waiting for food with her friends when the tragic shooting that claimed her life took place.

She was set to graduate from high school later this month and had a bright future ahead of her.

One of her friends who was at the scene of the crime told authorities that a gray sedan pulled up next to their car and started firing gunshots.

“Her best friend said they didn’t even know they were shooting at the car,” Mya’s sister, Brianne Sweat, told WREG-TV News. “They just heard gunshots and ducked down.”

Sweat said her sister’s friends sat up after the shots were fired, that’s when they noticed the teen slumped over in the car.

Taylor’s friends believe that they were targeted, but they don’t believe Taylor was the intended target. The car they were riding in also had tinted windows.

Sweat said a group of boys gave her sister and her friends a ride to the McDonald’s, but she doesn’t know who the boys are.

Sweat also revealed that moments before the shooting took place, Taylor moved from the back seat of the car to the front passenger seat, swapping seats with a male in the car.

“The windows were tinted, if the car was targeted, they would have never known that Mya swapped to that front seat. I have no doubt in my mind that Mya was not the target,” Sweat said.

Sweat said Taylor didn’t have any enemies, she was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time and with the wrong people.

“Her friend said Mya, right before it happened said, ‘Why is that car staring at us?'” Sweat said.

A 19-year-old male victim was also shot during the encounter. He was released from the hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

Taylor’s mother, Jolanda Wright, received the news that her daughter had been shot while she was at work.

“My mom received a phone call from my sister’s phone. Her best friend was screaming. She could hardly understand them. The only thing she could understand was that Mya had gotten shot,” Sweat said.

Sweat said she remembers her sister as being a goofy, care-free spirit.

“Mya was a really sweet person,” Brianne said. “She was really goofy. She didn’t take much seriously.”

Taylor’s family is looking for justice for her senseless murder. They believe someone in the car knows who killed their loved one, but is not speaking up.

“Talking to people about who they are into it with, nobody wants to tell us, but you have to think, that could have been your son. You would want someone to help you bring them to justice,” Sweat said.

She went on: “Everyone wants justice for Mya. It’s not going to bring her back, but it will make us feel a lot better to know that the people that did this will pay.

“They said the guy drove up, was hanging out the window with a black hoodie and a black mask covering his mouth and shot up the front of the car. All the bullets were in the front of the car.”

Jolanda Wright said that she is deeply hurt by her daughter’s death and just wants answers.

“This hurts. It hurts. I need to know something. I just want justice,” Wright said.

Police have released photos of a suspect and are asking for anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 901-528-CASH.

They say the man in the photo and other suspects were last seen in the Sedan speeding away.

A GoFundMe has been created to help pay for Taylor’s funeral expenses.

Her school, Hillcrest High School, posted a message on Facebook about her tragic death. The statement read:

“Early this morning, we received word of Mya’s untimely passing and still struggling to come to grips with this sad news. Our staff and students will truly miss Mya’s smiling face and pray that her family finds peace in knowing she was loved by many, including her Viking Family. To Mya, rest well Young Queen. You are loved and will be missed!!”

Oklahoma City Woman Shoots Up McDonald’s After Being Told She Couldn’t Eat Inside Due to COVID-19

An Oklahoma City woman was arrested after she opened fire inside a McDonald’s after being told by employees that the dining room was closed due to coronavirus restrictions.

OKC police responded to reports of shots fired Wednesday evening (May 6) just before 6:30 p.m. at the McDonald’s located near Southwest 89th St. and Pennsylvania Ave.

Police said when the woman, later identified as 32-year-old Gloricia Woody, entered the restaurant, she was informed by employees that the dining area was closed due to restrictions imposed on restaurants amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Woody was asked to leave the restaurant, but refused, and a physical altercation ensued between the woman and an employee.

After Woody was forced out of the restaurant by employees, she reentered the building with a handgun and fired about three shots in the restaurant, police said.

One employee was hit in the arm, a second was hit in the neck/shoulder area and a third was hit in the side, according to police.

The employee who was involved in the initial physical altercation also reportedly fell and hit her head at some point during the fight causing a head injury.

Police said the injuries to the four employees were non-life-threatening, and three of them were taken to a local hospital.

Gloricia Woody was located a few blocks away and was taken into police custody without incident.

Police said the woman matched the person seen on surveillance footage recorded inside the restaurant.

It’s unclear what charges Woody will face.

A McDonald’s spokesperson released the following statement regarding the incident:

“The safety and security of our employees and customers is our top priority. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved, and the good news is that we can report the employees who sustained injuries are expected to make a full recovery. This is a heinous crime on our restaurant employees who were trying to support public health efforts. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement as they continue to investigate this matter.”

The shooting comes amid tensions over restrictions from businesses and restaurants to help slow the spread of coronavirus.

Earlier this week, a woman, her husband and adult son were all charged in the fatal shooting of a security guard last week who refused to let the woman and her daughter shop at a Family Dollar store in Flint, Michigan because the daughter wasn’t wearing a face mask, which helps protect others against transmission of the coronavirus.

“What you’re seeing in this situation is really what you’re seeing in a variety of situations across the country, which is this tension about opening and people’s concern about it,” McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski said.

“But there’s absolutely no excuse for violence, particularly gun violence, so I’m just happy that our people are going to be OK.”

NFL Star Earl Thomas’ Wife Nina Arrested After Holding Gun to His Head After Catching Him in Bed With Naked Woman

Baltimore Ravens safety Earl Thomas had a wild run-in with his wife last month which involved her pointing a loaded gun to his head and her getting arrested.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the domestic altercation occurred on April 13th at an Austin, Texas AirBnB after Nina Thomas caught her husband, Earl, cheating with naked women.

Austin police arrived at the scene at 3:41 a.m. and witnessed the following:

“We observed that a black female wearing an orange sweater with a knife in her hand, later identified as Nina Thomas, was chasing a shirtless black male, later identified as Earl Thomas, with a pistol in his hand around a vehicle.”

Nina and Earl complied when police ordered them to the ground and police were able to get the full story of what happened.

Nina told police that she and Earl had an argument about his drinking earlier in the day. The confrontation ended when Earl was picked up by his brother, Seth Thomas, and the two left the premises.

Nina then logged into Earl’s Snapchat account and saw new videos of him with another woman. She used the social media account to pinpoint Earl’s location.

The scorned wife and two of her friends then traveled to the AirBnB location to confront Earl. They found the footballer and his brother surrounded by naked women.

At some point, Nina grabbed Earl’s pistol in order to “scare him” and one of her friends had a knife.

Video footage recorded by one of the women Earl was with shows Nina pointing the gun less than a foot away from Earl’s head. Her finger was clearly on the trigger.

Fortunately, Earl was able to wrestle the gun away from his wife before it was able to go off.

Nina told police that she had emptied the magazine before ever pointing the gun at Earl. However, what she did not know was that a bullet was in the gun’s chamber.

One of the women caught with Earl and Seth also told police that Nina had pointed and threatened them with the gun, yelling: “I got something for all you hoes!”

Nina was charged with burglary of a residence with intent to commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her friends were charged as well.

Nina’s attorney Jonathan Goins denied the allegations against his client.

“I am here to declare that my client unequivocally and categorically denies these allegations and we look forward to our day in court where we can clear her good name.”

Earl Thomas’ agents warned him about TMZ’s report before it was actually published and he issued a statement via Instagram which has since been deleted.

“It’s really not anybody’s businesses. It pisses me off that it got out, but it’s the world we live in today. But, instead of talking about us, just keep us in y’all prayers.

“Stuff like this happens bro. We try to live the best lives we possibly can. Sometimes it don’t go as planned. Just pray for us as we go through this stuff.

“We’ve been talking. I’ve been seeing my kids. So just keep us in your prayers.”

Earl and Nina got married in 2016. Ciara and Russell Wilson attended the wedding.

Earl—who just turned 31 today—is a Super Bowl champion and a 7-time Pro Bowl Defensive back.

Did Pastor Jamal Bryant Just Welcome a Baby With a Woman Who is NOT His Ex-Wife & Current Girlfriend “RHOP” Star Gizelle Bryant?

UPDATE: Pastor Jamal Bryant shot down the rumors that he recently welcomed a baby with a church member.

“Reckless and irresponsible bloggers who went on with no facts, no evidence, and might I add, no truth to make baseless accusations that I had fathered a baby in April, May, February, January — here in Atlanta,” Pastor Bryant said in a Facebook Live stream Thursday. “And was hiding this baby from some mother in Atlanta or in my church.”

The New Birth Missionary Baptist Church pastor continued: “That, number one, is 1,000% untrue … 1,000% faulty. Days gone by I usually don’t say anything. Michelle Obama informed us … ‘when they go low — we go high.’

“If it was just for me I could just withstand it, ignore it and keep going but I have to think about my daughters, who are now of internet age, who have to read these falsities by cowards, who write things with no boundaries.”

https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=541057179938376

He reiterated his statement on Instagram, calling out “bloggers who post fake news stories with no truth.”

He added: “Congratulations!! Those legal papers you got served are not fake news! You got 72 hours…”

Original story:

Well, this is certainly … interesting.

There’s a rumor floating around saying that the Reverend Jamal H. Bryant just welcomed a baby with a woman who is NOT his ex-wife and current girlfriend, Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant.

Sources say the promiscuous pastor’s alleged new baby mama is one of his church members. Bryant is the pastor of New Birth Baptist Church in Stonecrest, Georgia.

Rev. Bryant left Empowerment Temple AME Church in Baltimore to take over at New Birth after Bishop Eddie Long died of cancer back in 2017.

Via Instagram blog TheBlackSocialites:

Congratulations are in order for Pastor Jamal Bryant who’s “Secret Lady” allegedly has already given birth to their NEW BABY? Happy early Mother’s Day to the new mommy. I wonder what’s going to happen when church opens back up? Do you think she will be sitting front row First Lady style? Where do u think Gizelle will be seated? This is just too much

If true, this isn’t the first time Pastor Bryant has had a child outside of his relationship with Gizelle.

In fact, it was his infidelity and resulting side baby that caused their marriage to end after seven years back in 2009.

Gizelle and Jamal, who are back together now, have three teenage daughters together—Grace and twins Angel and Adore.

Bryan admitted in 2016 to having a sexual relationship with another church member, 34-year-old Latoya Shawntee Odom, who birthed their son, John Karston Bryant.

According to one blogger, Bryant allegedly asked the woman to abort the baby.

Back in 2017, Odom reportedly wanted Bryant thrown in jail because he was late on making court-ordered child support payments and refused to provide her with his address for their son’s medical card.

Gizelle confirmed that she and Pastor Jamal were back together last fall during the RHOP Season 4 reunion.

LeBron James Outraged Over Ahmaud Arbery Shooting: “We’re Hunted EVERY DAY! Can’t Even Go for a Jog!”

LeBron James expressed outrage Wednesday (May 6) over the shooting death of 25-year-old black man Ahmaud Arbery.

Back in February, Arbery was jogging in a suburban neighborhood in Brunswick, Georgia when he was hunted down and killed by white father-son duo Travis and Gregory McMichael.

Though Travis is the one who actually fired the fatal shot that claimed Arbery’s life, it was his father, Gregory, who initiated the chase on the afternoon of Sunday, February 23rd.

“Travis, the guy is running down the street, let’s go,” the elder McMichael told police he said to his son.

Gregory grabbed a .357 magnum handgun and Travis grabbed his shotgun. The two then got into a truck and proceeded to follow Arbery.

Graphic video of the fatal shooting emerged online this week, prompting calls for justice because neither of the McMichaels have been arrested or charged because they said that Ahmaud fit the description of a suspect in a string of recent break-ins in the neighborhood, and according to one prosecutor, the men were justified in their actions because of Georgia’s citizen’s arrest law.

Further complicating matters, Gregory McMichael is a former investigator with the District Attorney’s office in Brunswick, and two prosecutors have had to recuse themselves from the case because of that.

The case has received relatively little attention until the footage of the incident surfaced this week, and now LeBron has joined the fight for Ahmaud by speaking out against the horrific shooting on social media.

“We’re literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME we step foot outside the comfort of our homes! Can’t even go for a damn jog man!” the NBA star wrote on Instagram.

“Like WTF man are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!? No man fr ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! I’m sorry Ahmaud (Rest In Paradise) and my prayers and blessings sent to the heavens above to your family!! #StayWoke #ProfiledCauseWeAreSimplyBlack.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/B_3M3wugy38/

This isn’t the first time LeBron James has voiced his opinions on social issues. He previously protested over the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner and Michael Brown.

The NBA player even had to defend himself against conservatives like Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who famously told James to “shut up and dribble” back in 2018 after he called President Trump out for fanning racial flames.

“I will definitely not do that,” James said in response to Ingraham.

“I mean too much to society. I mean too much to the youth. I mean too much to so many kids that feel like they don’t have a way out and they need someone to help lead them out of the situation they’re in.”

Meek Mill’s Girlfriend Milano Harris Gives Birth to Their Son on Rapper’s 33rd Birthday

Meek Mill just received the best birthday gift ever … the birth of his third son on his own birthday!

The rapper took to Twitter Wednesday afternoon (May 6) to announce that his girlfriend Milano Harris had given birth to their son the same day he was celebrating his 33rd birthday.

“Milano dropped me off a king on my birthday!” Meek wrote. “#thebestgift.”

While this is Milano and Meek’s first child together, he’s already a father to two sons—Murad and Rihmeek Williams—from a previous relationship.

Dating rumors first started swirling around Meek and Harris last year, however, Harris initially denied the rumors, saying in one interview back in October that they were just friends.

“To be honest, Meek was the first celebrity to ever wear my stuff. In 2012 he wore one of my hoodies,” the Philadelphia-based fashion designer told Boom 103.9. “And it was an $80 hoodie at the time and that’s literally when I started. … Meek supports Milano and I support Meek. That’s my friend.”

A couple of months later in December, the Milano Di Rouge creator announced that she was pregnant, captioning an Instagram video: “For the first 3.5 months I’ve been super sick and unable to work and move like I use to do.

“The moment I started feeling even a little better & had more energy I wanted to do my annual fashion show because I pushed it back 2x already this year. I’m a creative, so I didn’t want to announce my pregnancy to the world or even to my family with just a photo of my baby bump.”

She went on: “I wanted to create a moment that I could cherish and remember forever. We planned this show in 6 weeks and I have to say this was the hardest show we’ve planned to date but all in all, I’m so happy with the turnout.”

Meek confirmed they were dating a few months later in February 2020 when he referred to Harris as his girlfriend during a heated back-and-forth with his ex Nicki Minaj on Twitter.

“My girl is with me pregnant watching me tweet about my ex is very clownish,” the rapper wrote in a since-deleted tweet at the time.

Harris confirmed the relationship herself about a week later on Valentine’s Day, posting a photo of her and Meek cozied up on a couch together playing Xbox.

“Ima tell my grandkids that ‘we started out as close friends,'” she captioned the image.

Milano also wished Meek a happy birthday on Instagram Wednesday evening.

She wrote: “Happy Birthday Love… I hope this year is filled with more blessings, lots of love, peace & prosperity. I’m beyond proud of the man you’ve become. You motivate and inspire me in so many ways.”

Minnesota Man With Racist Past Charged for Shooting & Killing Unarmed Black Man After Fender Bender

Following the brutal murder of Ahmaud Arbery making national headlines, another black man has been killed over what appears to be a racially motivated crime.

39-year-old Douglas Lewis was shot and killed by 24-year-old Anthony Trifiletti on Friday (May 1) in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The shooting happened after a small fender bender that took place.

According to reports, Lewis rear-ended Trifiletti’s truck on Interstate 94.

Following the minor traffic incident, both men got out of their cars, but two stories are being told about what transpired next.

Trifiletti told police that Lewis started yelling at him after they pulled over on the side of the highway and he asked Lewis for his insurance.

He said that his friends in another truck were following him on the highway, but he told them to leave because of Lewis’ behavior.

Trifiletti and a friend who stayed behind told police that Lewis yelled to them “I’m GD,” referring to gang membership.

He then told police that he and Lewis both walked back to their cars to pull away and leave the scene, but he “unintentionally” followed Lewis back to his car. Lewis then threw his car in park and got back out.

Trifiletti told police that Lewis advanced towards him and “put his hand underneath his shirt near his waistband.”

Trifiletti said this prompted him to pull out his gun and fire several shots. Police say that Trifiletti has a legal permit to carry firearms.

According to court records, Trifiletti told authorities he “thought he was going to die and was afraid for his life.”

However, bystanders on the scene are telling a totally different narrative.

A young couple who witnessed the whole encounter tell police that Lewis never yelled anything about being “GD” and did not have a gun on him.

They also said the two men were about 10 feet apart when Trifiletti started firing shots. The couple provided first aid to Lewis and tried to save his, while Trifiletti fled the scene.

Trifiletti later returned to the scene of the crime and turned himself in. When questioned by police if he could have avoided the shooting by driving away or refusing to get out of his truck, Trifiletti told them he didn’t think that was an option.

While it hasn’t been explicitly established that this was a hate crime, the shooting may have been racially motivated due to Trifiletti’s history of racism.

Following Lewis’ death, the mother of his kids, Kita Riley, posted a message on Twitter she received from someone who allegedly knew Trifiletti.

“Sorry for your loss, Tony is someone who I know to be afraid of the Black community. This is a race case 1000 percent,” the statement said.

Trifiletti’s Facebook page also included several posts of him mocking particular ethnic groups.

In one Facebook Live video from 2016, he can be heard casually using a racial slur among friends.

A girl glares at hime for using the word before one friend responds: “He said n***er. That’s racist,” as Trifiletti laughs. Someone off-camera then refers to “a f**king Jew.”

In another video, a male friend of Trifiletti’s can be heard mocking Asians.

According to Trifiletti’s defense attorney Ryan Pacyga, however, none of this will be admissible in court unless prosecutors find evidence that the shooting was indeed a hate crime.

“As distasteful as any racial slurs are, the question becomes whether it is relevant to a trial—and is there a danger of unfairness that would inflame the passions of a jury?” Pacyga said.

Douglas Lewis’ family remembers him as a hardworking man and a father of four. His sister says he was making a living as a delivery driver for 1-800-Got-Junk, Amazon, and DoorDash.

She told the Star Tribune that she doesn’t accept Trifiletti’s excuse for killing her brother.

“White people can get away with killing a black man by saying they were afraid,” Valerie Lewis said. “He killed my brother in cold blood.”

Trifiletti is facing a count of second-degree murder. He is being held in Ramsey County Jail on a $1 million bond.

Nurse in NYC Says Minority Coronavirus Patients Are Being Murdered By Negligent Doctors: “Black Lives Don’t Matter Here”

A frontline nurse treating coronavirus patients in New York City is blowing the whistle on negligent doctors who are “literally murdering” people every day, but “nobody cares because they’re all minorities.”

37-year-old Nicole Sirotek, an ICU nurse from Nevada currently working NYC hospitals, recently posted a video on YouTube talking about how gross negligence and mismanagement are causing the deaths of minority coronavirus patients every day.

Sirotek described her work at the frontline of the pandemic as like “going into the f**king twilight zone.”

She said there’s so much going on that she was once assigned to care for a patient who was already dead and had been placed in a body bag.

She said: “They’re not dying of COVID. Yes people are going to die of COVID, I know this, I’m not like a new grad student.

“I am literally saying they’re murdering these people. And nobody cares because they’re all minorities and we’re in the f**king hood and that’s not okay.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YAzZ6deWro

Sirotek went on to give examples of the types of medical negligence she’s personally witnessed, like when an anesthesiologist improperly intubated a patient who later died or when a resident accidentally killed a patient by using a defibrillator on them even though they had a heart rate.

She recalled: “The resident starts doing chest compressions which is not what you do. I run to stop him. He f**king defibrillates him and kills him.

“I was literally saying, ‘Can you stop him he’s going to kill that patient?’ And the director of nursing just shook his head and I turned around and he killed the dude.”

Sirotek also recalled a number of other horrifying incidents, like a nurse who placed a feeding tube into a patient’s lungs instead of their stomach, a nurse who gave one patient a lethal dose of short-acting insulin after confusing it for long-acting, and another nurse who fell asleep at her station while a patient’s blood pressure dropped without notice causing permanent brain damage.

She said one patient actually choked to death on his own blood when the anesthesiologist ruptured his esophagus while trying to intubate him, and another died after his lungs were “blown out” by a wrongly set ventilator.

Sirotek said she’s tried reaching out to advocacy groups for minorities, but was either put on hold or hung up on.

She also said speaking to hospital management made no difference and when she tried to advocate for her black and Hispanic patients, she was quickly removed from their cases and reassigned to other patients.

“I legitimately don’t know what to do anymore,” Sirotek said. “Even the advocacy groups don’t give a sh** about these people. Like literally, Black Lives Don’t Matter here.

She added: “They don’t care what’s happening to these people. And I just have to keep watching them die. … Oh, God.”

In a desperate attempt to put the situation into context, Sirotek said: “I know this is a kind of extreme example but it’s the only one I can come up with.

“It’s like if we were in Nazi Germany and they were taking the Jews to a gas chamber and I’m the one saying, ‘Hey that’s not okay. This is wrong.’ And then everyone tells me, ‘Hang in there. You’re doing a great job. You can’t save everybody.'”

She said she understands that some people will suffer organ failure and die and not everyone can be saved, however: “I’m pretty sure when you defibrillate someone with a heart rate of 40 and a stable rhythm that’s murder.

“And I’m pretty sure when you put someone’s PEEP (Positive End Expiratory Pressure on a ventilator) up to 25 and PEEP doesn’t go past like 15 or 20 and you blow someone’s lungs out and they die, that’s murder.”

Sirotek she’s all out of ideas and doesn’t know what else to do at this point.

“Can someone come up with some kind of solution for me? Because I’m kind of out of ideas. Am I the only one who’s not a sociopath? To think that this is not okay?”

She signed off with this chilling message: “Stay safe. Stay out of New York City for your health care.”

The New York Post reported that Sirotek was originally working at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, but was transferred to another facility after the video surfaced.

South Carolina Men Arrested for Molesting 13-Year-Old Girl on Facebook Live

Two South Carolina men are facing serious charges after they sexually assaulted a young teen and posted it on social media.

20-year-old Tasheen A. Walker and 18-year-old Jonah D. Fishburne were arrested Monday night (May 4) on charges of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

According to North Charleston Police, the two men filmed themselves molesting a 13-year-old girl who is said to have “diminished mental capacity” on Facebook Live.

Several people who viewed the Facebook Live video reported it to authorities and led officers to an abandoned house on Poplin avenue.

At the abandoned home, officers found the victim and her mother there visibly upset.

The victim also gave her account of how the incident took place:

NCPD officers said the victim told them she was walking to her grandmother’s house around after hanging out with her boyfriend, when a group of five males asked her to come over to them.

When she went over to them, police say the victim told them the group of males grabbed her and forced her into the abandoned house on Poplin Avenue, where the group began assaulting her in the basement of the home.

Police said the victim identified two of her attackers as Walker and Fishburne, but says she didn’t recognize the other three. The three remaining individuals had left the area by the time police arrived.

The girl was later taken to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) for treatment. While police have arrested Walker and Fishburne, the three remaining suspects are still wanted.

Walker and Fishburne are being held at the Charleston County Detention Center.

North Charleston Police ask that the community not to share any copies or screenshots of the Facebook Live video showing the sexual assault, as it contains child pornography. Sharing of the video, images, or links to it, is a crime.

Anyone with any information that could lead to arrests for the three remaining suspects has been asked to contact Sgt. Jonathan Glenn at glenn@northcharleston.

“Little Women: Atlanta” Star Ms. Minnie at Fault for Fatal Crash, Memorial Service Will Be Live Streamed

More information has been released regarding the fatal car accident that claimed the life of Little Women: Atlanta star Ashley “Minnie” Ross.

According to the crash report and eyewitnesses, police believe Ross, 34, lost control of her car while driving southbound on an Atlanta highway and went off-road.

She then quickly swerved into the other direction and hit another car on the opposite side of the highway.

Neither Ross nor the other driver were ejected from their cars, but Ross was unconscious on the scene. The other driver was taken to the hospital for pain.

Though the crash had initially been called a hit-and-run, police have determined that Ross was at fault.

No drug or alcohol tests were performed on Ross or the other driver.

Ross died last week from her injuries. An autopsy will not be performed and the cause of death is likely to be listed as blunt force trauma.

Ross’ family will hold a memorial service for her in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Friday (May 8).

The service will have limited attendance due to strict social distancing guidelines and attendees will wear masks.

The service will also be live-streamed at MsMinnieMedia.com and Ross’ Instagram account for family, friends, and fans who want to pay their respects.

Little Women: Atlanta has to halt production due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Ross’ co-stars intend to honor her on the show when production is able to resume.

Video Shows Unarmed Black Georgia Man Ahmaud Arbery Being Shot to Death While Jogging

Video footage showing the fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery—the unarmed 25-year-old black man who was chased down by two white men while jogging in Brunswick, Georgia—has surfaced, prompting a call for the grand jury to review the case.

As seen in the video from the February 23rd incident, Arbery was jogging in a neighborhood in Brunswick, Georgia when he was approached by Travis McMichael and his father, retired District Attorney investigator Gregory McMichael.

Travis was armed with a shotgun, and as Arbery appears to try to run around the truck, he and Travis can be seen struggling over the gun as Gregory sits in the trunk bed.

A total of three shots were fired, with the last one causing Arbery to collapse to the ground. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Neither of the McMichaels have been charged in the fatal shooting because, according to one prosecutor, the men were justified in their actions because of Georgia’s citizen’s arrest law.

PREVIOUSLY: No Charges for White Father & Son Who Chased Down & Fatally Shot Black Man Jogging in South Georgia Neighborhood

Ahmaud Arbery was a former football player and his friends and family say he enjoyed running to stay fit, so it wasn’t unusual to see him running around the town of Brunswick.

However, the McMichaels said that Ahmaud fit the description of a suspect in a string of recent break-ins in the neighborhood.

Ahmaud’s mother, Wanda Jones-Cooper, said she doesn’t believe her son committed any crimes that day and the McMichaels simply judged him by the color of his skin.

Ms. Jones-Cooper said even if her son did commit a crime, “he should have been handled by the police.”

After the video emerged, Tom Durden, District Attorney Pro Tempore for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit, said in a press release: “I am of the opinion that the case should be presented to the grand jury of Glynn County for consideration of criminal charges against those involved in the death of Mr. Arbery.”

Arbery’s family has hired civil rights attorney Lee Merritt, who said that he believes the McMichaels haven’t been indicted because Gregory is a former investigator for the Brunswick district attorney’s office.

“There’s more than enough evidence for a case for murder,” Merritt said in an interview with CBS News.

“Ahmaud is no longer with us and he’s not with us because two men followed him while he was jogging and killed him,” said the man’s mother. “An arrest should have been made already.”

Was Cynthia Bailey Fired from “RHOA” After 10 Seasons? Source Says She May be Demoted to Friend Status

After 10 seasons, Cynthia Bailey may be letting go of her peach, though whether it’s by choice or force remains unclear.

Tamara Tattles is exclusively reporting that Cynthia has been fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta following the conclusion of the show’s 12th season.

Despite her becoming engaged during the season and her rocky friendship with NeNe Leakes, reports suggest that Cynthia’s storylines just weren’t interesting enough to keep her on the show.

A source tells the outlet that while Cynthia was initially fired, production has recently reached out to her to see if she’s interested in a reduced role on the show.

From Tamara Tattles‘ source:

SOURCE says It’s not a done deal. CEO of the production company called her and asked her if she would be interested in taking a friend or reduced role of some sort if that is all she was offered. At a much lower rate. She said she would have to see the offer before determining. And to clarify, she did not quit. She is being Vicki Gunvalsoned.

For further context, Vicki Gunvalson was unceremoniously booted from the franchise’s flagship show, The Real Housewives of Orange County after 14 seasons and being reduced to “friend” status during season 13.

Also adding to speculation that Cynthia has left RHOA is that she recently has removed all Real Housewives of Atlanta references from the bio sections of her social media accounts.

“The strongest people are not those who always win, but those who don’t give up when they lose,” she quoted in a cryptic Instagram post on Monday (May. 4).

Cynthia, herself, has also cast doubt on her future on the show because her fiancé, Mike Hill, is based in Los Angeles. The two will exchange vows later this year and she’s heavily considering moving to the west coast.

“I spend a lot of time in L.A., and yes, I can confidently say that Mike and I will be getting married. I love Lake Bailey, and so does Mike, but I think I would be in L.A. more full-time,” she revealed on Watch What Happens Live! earlier this year.

Rumors of Cynthia’s RHOA departure seem to surface every season. Neither Bravo nor Cynthia have officially commented on these latest rumors or her status on the show.

The three-part virtually filmed Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12 reunion will begin this Sunday, May 10th.

CDC Projects 200K New COVID-19 Cases in the U.S. & 3,000 Deaths PER DAY By June 1st As Dozens of States Re-Open

Well, this is certainly alarming.

The United States could see up to 3,000 COVID-19 deaths and 200,000 new cases PER DAY by June 1st, according to a leaked CDC report obtained by a number of newspapers, including the New York Times and the Washington Post.

This is incredibly shocking considering the number of new cases at this time is about 25,000 per day, while the daily death toll is just under 2,000 per day.

“The numbers underscore a sobering reality: while the United States has been hunkered down for the past seven weeks, not much has changed. And the reopening to the economy will make matters worse,” the Times reported.

An official from President Donald Trump’s administration confirmed the authenticity of the report, but cautioned that the numbers are simply projections at the moment.

When asked to comment, the White House said in a statement that the document hadn’t been reviewed by the coronavirus task force.

“This is not a White House document nor has it been presented to the Coronavirus Task Force or gone through interagency vetting,” Deputy White House press secretary Judd Deere said.

“This data is not reflective of any of the modeling done by the task force or data that the task force has analyzed.”

Deere’s statement continued: “The President’s phased guidelines to open up America again are a scientific driven approach that the top health and infectious disease experts in the federal government agreed with.

“The health of the American people remains President Trump’s top priority and that will continue as we monitor the efforts by states to ease restrictions.”

The increased estimates come as dozens of U.S. states—including South Carolina, Georgia, West Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Indiana and many other—have eased COVID-19 restrictions and after many Americans spent the past weekend outside protesting or enjoying the spring weather at parks and on beaches.

The new projections make it painfully clear that all of these states re-opening could put many Americans in danger.

“It’s simple logic,” CNN’s senior medical correspondent Elizabeth Cohen said. “When you tell people, ‘Hey, you can go to bars, you can get your nails done, you can go to a restaurant,’ those numbers are going to go up.”

Trump said during a Fox News virtual townhall over the weekend that people should go back to parks and beaches as long as they maintain social distancing.

“Certain states are going to have to take a little more time in getting open, and they’re doing that.  Some states, I think, frankly, aren’t going fast enough. I mean, you have some states that — Virginia, they want to close down until the middle of — middle of June,” he said.

“And a lot of things that they’re doing — I really believe you can go to parks, you can go to beaches.  You keep it — you know, you keep the spread, you keep — you stay away a certain amount.”

Earlier in the week, the president ordered workers to return to meat plants, where the virus is spreading like wildfire because workers are basically shoulder-to-shoulder as they package products along fast-moving production lines.

The close quarters of workers at meatpacking facilities have caused the virus to spread more rapidly in small rural towns where those plants are located, compared to New York, which was the worst-hit state during the pandemic’s early stages.

Trump previously said he expected 65,000 Americans to die from coronavirus, but he revised that estimated death toll on Sunday (May 3) to up to 80,000-90,000 people.

Over 67,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 so far and nearly 1.2 million have been infected, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

Boosie Shares Disturbing Video of Him Molesting a Mannequin at a Clothing Store

Somebody, anybody … please come get Boosie Badazz RET NAH!

The “Wipe Down” rapper has been no stranger to saying and doing crazy things on social media over the past few months.

Just this morning, Boosie posted a video on Instagram of him at a clothing store molesting a mannequin by rubbing on its “private” area. He can also be heard in the background saying: “that a**hole.”

The Louisiana rapper captioned the video: “When u need some p***y n miss the one u f**king”.

We get that inappropriately rubbing a mannequin does harm to no one (except for the lifeless mannequin of course), but why Boosie?!?! Why?!?

Boosie’s followers on IG also found the video to be a bit disturbing and extra.

“Lol i was disturbed just a little by this,” one follower commented.

“Ummm log out for me please,” commented another fan.

Boosie knows good and damn well he’s too old to be out here acting like this, but whatever floats your boat, sir!

French Montana Says Kodak Black Growled at Him During a Video Shoot & Didn’t Say a Single Word Afterward

Kodak Black is really about that turn-up life.

During an interview with Big Boy on his “Gimme 5” YouTube segment, rapper French Montana revealed that Kodak once growled at him on the set of their 2016 music video “Lockjaw.”

French said in the interview that Kodak growled at him and didn’t say a single word during the rest of the video shoot.

“Out of all the collaborations that you have done, who would you say was the most difficult to work with?” Big Boy asked French.

French answered by name-dropping Kodak, but explained that the both of them were geeking pretty hard on set.

“My young boy was about that life. Me and him didn’t have one conversation when we shot the video. I just looked at him and he growled at me,” French told Big Boy while laughing about the encounter.

He went on to add: “We was getting lit. We was drinking. He lived that rockstar life. We were both geeked. Free Kodak.”

It’s funny how this sounds exactly like something Kodak would do … and how French took no offense to it since this is normal Kodak Black behavior.

Just this past weekend, Kodak’s reps revealed that the rapper was attacked by several prison guards at the Big Sandy Penitentiary in Kentucky.

Kodak was sentenced last year to 46 months in prison for falsifying information on a gun application. He has repeatedly claimed that he’s being mistreated and abused in prison.

Big Meech’s Brother & BMF Co-Founder Southwest-T Released From Prison Early Due to COVID-19 Concerns

Terry “Southwest-T” Flenory, the co-founder of Black Mafia Family (BMF) and brother of drug kingpin Big Meech, is expected to be released from prison on Tuesday (May 5), citing COVID-19 health concerns, the Detroit News reports.

Terry Flenory, the now 50-year-old oversaw BMF’s Los Angeles hub, was approved for early release on home confinement earlier this year as the coronavirus pandemic intensified and federal prison officials started releasing inmates to help curb the spread of the virus.

Terry was originally sentenced to 30 years in prison back in 2008, and was due for release in 2032.

However, his release date was pushed up to 2026 two years ago, and now, amid COVID-19 concerns, he’s been given a much earlier release. He’s scheduled to leave a Kentucky prison Tuesday afternoon.

“Terry Flenory is a really good guy and anyone who knows him would agree with that,” his former defense lawyer Steve Fishman said. “He has served a lot of time, and I am very happy to hear he’s coming home.”

Terry’s brother, 51-year-old Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, also reportedly requested to seek compassionate release from a federal prison in Oregon last month, however, his request has not yet been approved and he’s not scheduled to be released from prison until October 2031.

Big Meech’s lawyer Wade Fink said a compassionate release will help the former kingpin to “continue to effect positive change for black youth and others all over the country — an effort he began while incarcerated by starting programs, including charity drives for financially struggling children in Detroit.”

Big Meech and Southwest-T were both sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for allegedly running a national drug ring with ties to Mexican cartels for 15 years. Their reign as drug kingpins came to an end back in 2005 when they were arrested along with more than 100 co-defendants.

It was estimated that the BMF crew made over $270 million during their run, and when they were arrested, investigators seized $21 million worth of assets, including cash, jewelry, 13 homes in Metro Detroit, Georgia and Los Angeles, and three dozen vehicles, including a Lincoln limousine.

Southwest-T’s early release comes after 50 Cent announced that he’s producing a cable series about the Black Mafia Family for Starz.

“This is a project Curtis has always been incredibly passionate about and we are excited to have him as our partner in bringing it to life,” Starz CEO and President Jeffrey Hirsch said last month.

“Black Mafia Family has all the hallmarks of a great drama, from the larger-than-life Flenory brothers to the deadly, high-stakes world they inhabited. This series is going to be an incredible ride for audiences around the world.”

The series doesn’t have a release date yet but casting is currently underway, which means that production will commence very soon.

Where’s the Beef?! Wendy’s Takes Burgers Off the Menu Due to Meat Shortage Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Coronavirus’ latest victim … the meats!!!

Wendy’s customers are asking “Where’s the beef?” after several locations across the U.S. have pulled burgers from their menus due to the meat shortage amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Wendy’s customers took to Twitter this week to call the restaurant out because they were told they were unable to order their “fresh-never-frozen” burgers, and used the chain’s famous “Where’s the beef?” catchphrase from their 1980’s marketing campaign that poked fun at small burgers sold by other fast-food restaurants.

The problem is that meat suppliers are struggling to keep up with current meat demands because many of them have been forced to temporarily close their factories because workers are falling ill from COVID-19.

A CDC report from Friday said more than 4,900 workers at meat and poultry processing facilities have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, including 20 who died from the disease.

According to CNN Business, citing an analysis of online menus at every Wendy’s location by financial firm Stephens, around 1,000 of their 5,500 restaurants in the U.S. (or nearly one in five locations) are out of beef.

Wendy’s has been particularly hit by the shortage due to their reliance on fresh beef compared with its competitors, who use frozen patties to feed their customers.

“As you’ve likely heard, beef suppliers across North America are currently facing production challenge,” Wendy’s said in a statement. “Because of this, some of our menu items may be in short supply from time to time at some restaurants in this current environment.

“We continue to supply hamburgers to all of our restaurants, with deliveries two or three times a week. We’re working diligently to minimize the impact to our customers and restaurants, and continue to work with our supplier partners to monitor this closely.”

So, for now, customers are only able to purchase chicken products, french fries, baked potatoes and Frosty’s, which isn’t the absolute worst, but still … for Wendy’s, it’s gotta suck to not be able to give your customers the one thing you’re actually famous for.

Wendy’s isn’t the only company that has been impacted by the dwindling meat supply either.

Grocery stores like Costco, for instance, have announced that they are limiting customers’ meat purchases to stop hoarders from buying up all the inventory.

However, McDonald’s USA and Restaurant Brands International, which owns Burger King, said they aren’t expecting any shortages at this time.

Rick Ross’ Pregnant Baby Mama Briana Camille is Suing Him for Paternity & Child Support

Good news for Rick Ross: he has a new baby on the way! Bad news for Rick Ross: he’s being sued by the mother of two of his children (three if you count the one she’s pregnant with!) for paternity and child support.

Bossip reports exclusively that the Miami rapper is facing a lawsuit from his baby mama Briana Camille, who is seeking to have him legally named the father of their children so that she can receive court-ordered child support.

Though Ross and Camille are no longer together, the rapper’s baby mama wants him to own up to being the father of her children.

Camille, who is currently pregnant with the former couple’s third child together and is due in the fall, said in the court documents that even though they were never married, she’d been living with Ross and their two kids—3-year-old Berkeley and 2-year-old Billion—for the past two years until she and the kids moved out after they split at the end of last year.

(Ed. Note: Rick Ross has three baby mamas. Briana Camille is baby mama number three and the mother of his two younger children. He also has an older son, 13-year-old William Roberts III, and daughter, 18-year-old Toie Roberts, from previous relationships.)

Camille said Ross signed the older two kids’ birth certificates, however, she’s asking a judge to demand that the rapper take a DNA test for the older kids as well as the one on the way.

Ross’ lawyer, however, said that it was his idea to take DNA tests for the kids, who he has been consistently supporting since birth.

Firing back in his own filing, Ross (real name: William Roberts) said after he and Camille broke up, his lawyers reached out to her to try and get a DNA test done.

The rapper said he did his part, and Briana initially agreed to the best, but backed out the day she was supposed to do it and lawyered up, apparently convinced that Ross might try and get someone else to taket the test for him so that the results would come back negative.

The rapper’s lawyer, Leron Rodgers, told Bossip that the exes have since agreed to move forward with the DNA test, and Camille is expected to take her test sometime this week.

“Mr. Roberts has always taken care of his children, and that is his intention here as well,” Rogers told us. “We look forward to working through the process as efficiently as possible.”

Ross has also reportedly asked the judge to throw Camille’s case out because she never personally served him with her lawsuit. On top of that, Ross said he wasn’t living at the address where the process server delivered the paperwork and he never approved a third party accepting the papers on his behalf.

Ross and Camille were set to appear in court last week, but the judge was forced to recuse himself at the last minute because he was involved in another case involving Camille.

Not only is Camille asking the judge to force Ross to take DNA tests and pay child support, but she always wants the rapper to take care of her legal fees.
