It’s About Damn Time: Donald Trump Permanently Banned From Twitter

Twitter announced Friday (Jan. 8) that they have “permanently suspended” President Donald Trump’s account days after a mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol and took over the building, leaving a trail of blood and destruction and claiming the lives of at least five people.

The popular social media platform said in a statement: “After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”

Twitter went on to explain in great detail why they banned Trump’s account:

On January 8, 2021, President Donald J. Trump tweeted:

“The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!”

Shortly thereafter, the President tweeted:

“To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.”

Due to the ongoing tensions in the United States, and an uptick in the global conversation in regards to the people who violently stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021, these two Tweets must be read in the context of broader events in the country and the ways in which the President’s statements can be mobilized by different audiences, including to incite violence, as well as in the context of the pattern of behavior from this account in recent weeks.

After assessing the language in these Tweets against our Glorification of Violence policy, we have determined that these Tweets are in violation of the Glorification of Violence Policy and the user @realDonaldTrump should be immediately permanently suspended from the service.

We assessed the two Tweets referenced above under our Glorification of Violence policy, which aims to prevent the glorification of violence that could inspire others to replicate violent acts and determined that they were highly likely to encourage and inspire people to replicate the criminal acts that took place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

This determination is based on a number of factors, including:

President Trump’s statement that he will not be attending the Inauguration is being received by a number of his supporters as further confirmation that the election was not legitimate and is seen as him disavowing his previous claim made via two Tweets (1, 2) by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Dan Scavino, that there would be an “orderly transition” on January 20th.

The second Tweet may also serve as encouragement to those potentially considering violent acts that the Inauguration would be a “safe” target, as he will not be attending.

The use of the words “American Patriots” to describe some of his supporters is also being interpreted as support for those committing violent acts at the US Capitol.

The mention of his supporters having a “GIANT VOICE long into the future” and that “They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!” is being interpreted as further indication that President Trump does not plan to facilitate an “orderly transition” and instead that he plans to continue to support, empower, and shield those who believe he won the election.

Plans for future armed protests have already begun proliferating on and off-Twitter, including a proposed secondary attack on the US Capitol and state capitol buildings on January 17, 2021.

As such, our determination is that the two Tweets above are likely to inspire others to replicate the violent acts that took place on January 6, 2021, and that there are multiple indicators that they are being received and understood as encouragement to do so.

The ban comes after Trump incited a riot Wednesday (Jan. 6) that saw pro-Trumpers breaking into the U.S. Capitol building in D.C. and disrupting Congress’ certification of Joe Biden as the President-elect.

Twitter had initially placed a 12-hour ban on Trump’s account due to “repeated and severe violations of our Civic Integrity policy” after he refused to stop posting lies about the election being stolen from him.

Twitter threatened at the time to permanently ban his account for continued violations of his rules, including those regarding civic integrity and violent threats.

Facebook on Thursday (Jan. 7), banned Trump indefinitely, saying that the ban would last at least through Inauguration Day.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the risks “are simply too great” to allow Trump to keep using their platform after he incited “violent insurrection against a democratically elected government.”

People have been telling Facebook and Twitter for YEARS to get this man off their platforms, and it took a mob of Trumptards taking over the Capitol for them to finally listen.

Better late than never, we guess…

They Got Her! SoHo Karen Arrested for Assaulting Black Teen & Falsely Accusing Him of Stealing Her iPhone

They finally got her!

Nearly two weeks after a viral video showed a woman assaulting a 14-year-old Black boy after she falsely accused him of stealing her iPhone at a hotel in the SoHo area of New York City, that woman in question has been arrested.

TMZ is reporting that 22-year-old Miya Ponsetto (aka “SoHo Karen”) was taken into police custody Thursday (Jan. 7) in a joint effort by the L.A. County and NYPD, and she’s expected to be charged with attempted robbery.

The NYPD has been looking for Ponsetto ever since video surfaced showing her attacking a 14-year-old, the son of Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Keyon Harrold, who she’d accused of stealing her cellphone at the Arlo SoHo hotel in NYC.

The video—originally posted on Harrold’s social media pages—showed a very aggressive Ponsetto trying to take the boy’s phone during the attack because she thought it was hers.

“This person quote on quote ‘lost’ her iPhone, and apparently, my son magically acquired it, which merely ridiculous,” Harrold captioned the footage.

“This incident went on for five more minutes, me protecting my son from this lunatic. She scratched me; she Tackled and grabbed him. He is a child!!! Now watch it again.”

Ponsetto reportedly fled to California shortly after the December 26th incident and laid low with her mom, but was spotted outside a McDonalds just last week.

This isn’t Ponsetto’s first run-in with the law either.

She was arrested twice in 2020, including a September arrest for DUI, driving with a suspended license and failure to obey traffic lanes and a February arrest at a Beverly Hills hotel for public intoxication along with her mother.

As for the 14-year-old she attacked, Keyon Harold Jr., his father says he and the boy’s mother are seeking trauma therapy for their son.

Ponsetto’s attorney said she wasn’t being racist when she attacked the boy, she was just suffering from an “anxiety attack” at the moment.

As far as her phone is concerned, it was later found in an Uber and returned to her.

DaBaby Arrested in Beverly Hills for Carrying Loaded Gun While Shopping on Rodeo Drive

DaBaby was arrested in Beverly Hills while shopping on Rodeo Drive after someone reported him and his crew for having weapons.

A video posted on The Shade Room shows the rapper in handcuffs on the sidewalk outside Dolce & Gabbana, and TMZ has the details of his arrest.

As he and 3 other men were about to drive off, multiple cop cars surrounded their vehicle. Law enforcement sources tell us someone inside the store called to report DaBaby and his crew had weapons.

Baby and his friends were detained while officers searched the vehicle, and found one handgun.

We’re told the rapper was arrested for carrying a loaded firearm, a misdemeanor. Although cops initially detained everyone in the car, we’re told DaBaby is the only one getting booked.

Trump Supporter Ashli Babbitt Identified As Woman Shot & Killed During U.S. Capitol Siege

The rioter who was shot and killed inside the U.S. Capitol during a siege on the building has been identified as Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran from San Diego and avid supporter of President Donald Trump.

Babbitt’s identity was revealed by San Diego news outlet KUSI News via her own husband, who confirmed her death, telling the news outlet that she was a “strong supporter of President Trump, and was a great patriot to all who knew her.”

Babbitt’s husband told KUSI that she had 14 years in the service and did four tours of duty.

Video shared via Twitter and YouTube captured the exact moment Babbitt was shot while trying to climb through the broken window of a door inside the Capitol among a large group of insurrectionists.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ9oThRuMVs

Another video, which aired live on television, showed the woman covered in blood as she was taken out of the building on a stretcher. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later died.

The shooting happened outside of the House of Representatives chamber.

While it hasn’t been confirmed who pull the trigger, those who witnessed the fatal shooting have said that the woman was shot by a Capitol police officer.

There are some reports stating that she was shot in the neck, while others state she was shot in the chest.

Trump supporters are portraying Babbitt online as a martyr and her social media features retweets of a number of bogus conspiracy theories that President-elect Joe Biden stole the election from President Trump.

The day before she was fatally shot, Babbitt ironically tweeted: “Nothing will stop us…. they can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours….dark to light.”

Babbitt’s Twitter page was also filled with references to Trump and QAnon (some of which have since been deleted).

“I will be in DC on the 6th! God bless America and WWG1WGA,” she wrote on Twitter, referencing QAnon.

She also wrote that the California governor had instituted “commie rule” and responded to a tweet criticizing Nancy Pelosi’s support of the $600 stimulus check, writing: “It is a smack to the gut for everyone of us … you think ppl are waking up yet? … THEY DONT GIVE A F**K ABOUT US … all they want is power and money … we must unite!”

She retweeted Georgia lawyer Lin Wood multiple times, and in December 2020, she wrote: “COVID IS A F***ING JOKE!” In September 2020, she wrote: “Trump 2020 landslide! Let freedom ring!”

Another woman wrote on Twitter: “Serious question: Has the government started a war against it’s own people?” Babbitt responded on December 20th: “We are not their ppl… they are owned-bought, paid for, enslaved… you can’t sell your soul to devil without a price. They chose, so have we. Dark to light! Let freedom ring and god bless America! God knows, god sees and he is incoming! Nothing can stop what is happening.”

Babbit, who used the Twitter handle CommonAshSense, also retweeted Wednesday morning—just hours before she and other Trump supporters stormed the Capitol—a “MUST BE DONE LIST before Congress meets today.”

It included: “[Mike Pence] must resign & thereafter be charged with TREASON” and “Chief Justice John Roberts must RESIGN.”

A man from New Jersey spoke to a journalist as an eyewitness of the fatal shooting.

“We had stormed into the chambers inside, and there was a young lady who rushed through the windows. A number of police and Secret Service were saying get back, get down and get out of the way,” he said.

“She didn’t heed the call. As we kind of raced up to grab people and pull them back, they shot her in the neck. She fell back on me. She started to say she was fine, it’s cool. Then she started moving weird and blood was coming out of her neck and mouth and nose. I don’t know if she’s alive or dead anymore.”

The man added: “Riot police came in and started ushering us out with their sticks and stuff.”

Asked how he and the others were able to get into the Capitol, he said: “We tore through the scaffolding, through flashbangs and tear gas, and blitzed our way in through all of the chambers.

“Just trying to get into Congress and whoever we could get into and tell them we need some kind of investigation into this, and someone might be dead. That’s not the kind of government we can have.”

The man, who said he wasn’t injured, continued: “It could have been me. She went in first. This can not stand anymore… they don’t represent anybody. And now they will kill people. Police, Congressmen and women. They don’t care. They think we’re a joke. $2,000 checks were a joke to them.”

The rioters were protesting Congress’s certification of Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 presidential election.

Babbitt’s mother-in-law told a reporter that she was puzzled by her behavior.

“I really don’t know why she decided to do this,” the mother-in-law said.

Woman Shot Dead Inside U.S. Capitol After Rabid Trump Supporters Breach Building During Electoral Vote Congressional Hearing

UPDATE (10:28 P.M. ET): Trump Supporter Ashli Babbitt Identified As Woman Shot & Killed During U.S. Capitol Siege

UPDATE (6:23 P.M. ET): The woman who was shot inside the U.S. Capitol has died, Fox 5 D.C. reports.

A woman was reportedly shot in the neck inside the U.S. Capitol after thousands of rabid Donald Trump supporters stormed the building and breached the Senate chamber Wednesday (Jan. 6) to riot over the results of the 2020 election, which Joe Biden won.

Footage posted to social media showed the moment the shooting happened and another video, which aired live on television, shows the woman covered in blood as she’s taken out of the building on a stretcher.

The unidentified woman has been rushed to the hospital and is said to be in critical condition.

Daily Mail reports:

The [rioters] breached the Senate chamber on Wednesday afternoon as senators were rushed from the room by Capitol Police.

They were heard banging on the doors of the House chamber and yelling outside as police officers rushed lawmakers out of the chamber and to safety.

There were reports of gun shots outside of the House as an armed stand off took place at the doors of the chamber.

“We’ve been given gas masks on the House floor. Tear gas has been used in the Rotunda,” wrote Democratic Rep. Gerry Connolly on twitter.

Vice President Mike Pence, presiding in the Senate, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi, presiding in the House, were removed from their respective chambers at the first hint of the breach for their own safety.

The [rioters] filled the rotunda, which sets below the dome of the Capitol and is filled with paintings depicting important scenes in the founding of the nation.

They also were seen marching through Statuary Hall, the room off the House chamber that is filled with statues of the nation’s founders and used for special ceremonies.

In the crypt of the Capitol, where George Washington was originally supposed to be buried, police and [rioters] clashed, fighting it out.

“We now have individuals that have breached the Capitol building. They are in the Rotunda area,” Capitol police said.

Trump urged his supporters to stay peaceful, in a tweet that came after they had breached the building.

At a rally earlier that morning, he had encouraged them to march on the Capitol, where lawmakers were certifying the electoral college vote for Joe Biden.

“Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!” the president wrote.

But he did not tell them to leave.

U.S. Capitol Police used tear gas as hundreds of people were seen climbing the marble steps outside the building. They banged on the locked doors of the Capitol and smashed the glass in the doors.

One [rioter] jumped up on the dais, where the president of the Senate presides, and yelled: “Trump won that election.”

Several dozen [rioters] roamed the halls of the Capitol, yelling: “Where are they?”

Tear gas was being used by Capitol Police as [rioters] filled both the House and Senate side of the Capitol.

Another [rioter] in the Senate yelled: “Where’s Pence, show yourself!’

The chaos caused the Capitol to go on lock down and disrupted the certification of the electoral college vote that would cement Biden’s victory.

The images played out live on national television and on social media. One of the [rioters] tweeted a photo from Speaker Pelosi’s office, meaning the person made it to the center of the Capitol.

Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser declared a 6pm curfew for the city.

Here are the wild photos and videos from the chaotic scene:

Black Lives Matter protesters were shot in the face with rubber bullets for blocking streets … imagine what would have happened to them if they did this?!?

Dr. Dre Rushed to ICU After Suffering Brain Aneurysm

Dr. Dre has reportedly been rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering a brain aneurysm.

TMZ reports that Dre had the aneurysm Monday (Jan. 4) and was taken directly to the ICU, where he remained as of Tuesday evening.

Sources say the 55-year-old music mogul is “stable and lucid,” but doctors aren’t sure what caused the bleeding and they’re performing tests as we speak.

As you’re probably aware, Dre and his estranged wife are smack dab in the middle of a very contentious divorce, with Nicole requesting $2 million a month in temporary spousal support and $5 million for attorney fees.

But Dre doesn’t think he should have to pay anything since he’s already taking care of all of Nicole’s expenses. He also believes her attorney fees are outrageous considering the fact that her lawyers have only been working on the case for a few months and he’s already voluntarily paid her a million dollars.

Nicole also reportedly asked a judge to reject the prenup she signed back in 1996 because she says Dre ripped it up not long after they got married, which he strongly denies.

There’ll be a hearing for their divorce Wednesday in downtown in L.A., but Dre obviously won’t be able to attend.

News of Dre’s aneurysm comes after his estranged wife filed legal documents claiming that the hip-hop mogul has over $260 million in cash and Apple stocks and can well enough afford to cover her expenses and maintain the lifestyle she’s become accustomed to.

“That ’70s Show” Actress Tanya Roberts’ Rep Says She’s Still Alive After Initially Saying She Died

Actress Tanya Roberts is still alive … despite an initial report saying she’d died.

It was previously reported that Roberts died Sunday (Jan. 3) at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles after collapsing at her home while walking her dogs on Christmas Eve and was rushed to the hospital and placed on a ventilator.

Roberts is best known for her role as a “Bond Girl” and portraying the character Midge (Donna’s mom) on That ‘70s Show.

The actress’s rep, Mike Pingel, initially “confirmed” her death and even sent out a press release with details, but now that same rep is saying she never died in the first place.

Roberts’ husband Lance also released a statement to the media essentially confirming her death, saying: “As I held her in her last moments, she opened her eyes.”

Roberts’ rep later said that Lance told him he was at the hospital Sunday when he saw her eyes close, and for some reason, he said he thought she was dead he “left devastated,” as reported by TMZ.

Lance also reportedly told Pingel when he picked him up from the hospital that Roberts “died in my arms.”

For what it’s worth, Lance isn’t answering his phone to clarify why he thought his wife had died just because she closed her eyes, but here we are.

Pingel says he received a call just after 10 a.m. Monday morning (Jan. 4) saying that Tanya was still alive.

Her condition isn’t clear at the moment, but she’s definitely alive.

If you’re confused AF right now, don’t feel alone because we are too.

Meek Mill Says He Only Gave ATL Water Boys $20 Because He Didn’t Want Them to Buy Drugs

Meek Mill has offered an explanation as to why he only gave a group of Atlanta teens selling water $20.

In case you missed it, Meek caught backlash earlier this month for posting a video to his Instagram stories showing him giving 8 teens, known as the “water boys,” a single $20 bill to split amongst themselves … which amounts to $2.50 per person.

The incident sparked a debate online, with some people calling the rapper cheap (he was driving a $400K Rolls Royce, after-all) and others questioning why he was obligated to give them more money.

Meek responded to the critics at the time, saying: “They appreciated it. They just kids hustling.”

And now, he’s circled back to the subject, as evidenced during a recent Clubhouse chat in which he explained why he only gave the kids 20 bucks.

“I ain’t giving them bouls nothing, I know what they be on,” the 33-year-old rapper said. “I ain’t giving no young bouls no money to buy no weed. I got two f**kin’ kids in the house, I don’t play that sh**.”

He then talked about hustling as a kid in Philly, saying: “We came up pumping gas at the gas station, carrying old ladies’ bags, shoveling snow. I pulled up on them young bouls and give them game. I ain’t here to give out no f**king money.”

Meek went on: “People don’t have the common sense to say, ‘Damn, he did stop and pull up. They wasn’t even mad when we gave them the $20. The internet made them mad. If you look at the video, young boul said, ‘Thanks. I f**k with you.’ The internet made them mad.”

Meek Mill has had an interesting month on Clubhouse, to say the least. A few weeks back, he got into a heated back-and-forth with DJ Akademiks that went viral, and earlier this week, a conversation in a “Philly clubhouse” room took a turn for the worst when the rapper engaged in a shouting match with a Philadelphia-based rap artist named Omar Teagle Jr.

Meek called Teagle a “p**sy” and blasted Teagle for supposedly growing up in the suburbs of Delaware and being the son of a “rat.”

He also tried to get someone kicked out of the room for saying a $20,000 advance wasn’t a lot of money for a starting recording contract.

In that same room, Meek also brought up his ex Nicki Minaj, saying that he took issue with The Shade Room for a post pitting him against Nicki’s husband Kenneth Petty in a hypothetical boxing match.

“They had me up there—me vs. Nicki’s boyfriend,” Meek explained. “Nicki just had a f***ing baby. I just had a f***ing baby. Who’s responsible for this bulls***?”

He later apologized for his series of rants on the platform, writing on Twitter: “ima have a better reaction in 2021… I apologize when snap out sometimes ..then convos that stem from hatred, strike me hard from my upbringing! After that nip sh** my hatred level went up I’ma boss up leave it in 2020!”

WATCH: Black Man Smacks the Life Out of White Guy With Twisted Tea Can for Repeatedly Saying N-Word

A video has gone viral showing the moment a Black man used a can of Twisted Tea to slap the life out of a white man who thought it was OK for him to say the n-word over and over again.

The incident unfolded inside a convenience store in Ohio last week, Daily Dot reports.

Apparently, the unidentified white man—who appeared to be EXTREMELY inebriated—had said the n-word before the video started rolling and was being confronted by the Black man who looked to be in the process of purchasing a number of items, including a can of Twisted Tea—an alcoholic beverage.

“I’ma say n***a all day, every day. Are you kidding me?! … You a clown n***a! On God, nigga, you a clown, n***a!” the drunk white man said to the Black man, who then proceeded to grab a Twisted Tea and pondered over whether or not to use it.

“What? You gonna smack me with that?” the drunk (and apparently stupid as well) white man asked. “Smack me with it. Smack me! Smack me, n***a!”

After the Black man mistakenly dropped the Twisted Tea can on the ground while trying to flip it over in his hand, the white man tried to kick it and missed, hitting the product display below the cash register, which then set off a physical confrontation that started with the can making contact with the side of the white man’s face and ended with the white man on the ground being punched in the head repeatedly by the Black man.

I guess you can say the Black guy literally opened up a can of whoop-ass on the white guy, amirite?

After the footage went viral, Twitter did what it does best and memed the hell out of the situation, making “Twisted Tea” become a worldwide trending topic in the process.

Master P & Baron Davis in Talks to Buy Reebok From Adidas for $2.4 Billion

Adidas is reportedly seeking to unload Reebok for an asking price of $2.4 billion, and former NBA All-Star Baron Davis and Hip-Hop mogul Master P are looking to team up to purchase the famed sportswear brand.

Master P confirmed the news to ESPN reporter Eric Woodyard, saying in a statement: “These companies have been benefiting off us, this could be history for this company going Black-owned.”

Master P is the stage name of Percy Robert Miller, a 53-year-old rapper, actor, producer, entrepreneur and overall mogul whose net worth is said to be over $200 million.

Baron Davis, 41, is a retired former professional basketball player who played 15 seasons for various teams, including the Charlotte Hornets, the New Orleans Hornets, the Golden State Warriors, the L.A. Clippers, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the NY Knicks.

Davis is also a two-time NBA All-Star, and his net worth is reported to be around $60 million. He currently works as a studio analyst for Turner Network Television’s NBA coverage.

Master P also said in his statement that he and Davis are “prepared financially” after two months of talks with Adidas.

“Imagine if Michael Jordan owned Reebok? That’s what I’m talking about making history,” he said.

Adidas bought Reebok in 2005 for $3.8 billion in hopes of rivaling Nike in sales, but things didn’t go as planned.

In 2019, Adidas wrote down Reebok’s book value to $995 million, but after having a more successful 2020, Adidas is seeking to sell off the brand for $2.4 billion.

“I think Reebok is being undervalued. I left Nike as a 22-year-old kid representing myself and made the jump to Reebok, which took a chance on me as a creative and as an athlete. I want the people I know athletes, influencers, designers, celebs to sit at the table with me,” Davis told Forbes.

Master P added: “As we focus on turning Reebok into a lifestyle brand not just a basketball brand, our most important initiative will be to put money back into the community that built this company.”

Nashville Christmas Bomber Told Neighbor “Nashville & the World is Never Going to Forget Me” Days Before Bombing

Authorities have identified 63-year-old Anthony Quinn Warner as being responsible for the Christmas Day bombing that took place in downtown Nashville, and the FBI has released a new photo of the suspect.

The bombing injured at least 8 people and caused damage to 41 buildings and major communication systems, including 911 centers and an AT&T Transmission Center.

Less than a week before the Christmas morning bombing, Warner made a disturbing remark to a neighbor, telling the man the world was “never going to forget” him, it was revealed Monday (Dec. 28).

Here are some things to know about Anthony Q. Warner and the bombing that took place:

Petula Clark’s 1964 hit “Downtown” played moments before the explosion.

Residents told police that prior to the bombing they heard sounds of gunshots.

Officers arrived at the scene of 2nd Avenue Prior around 5:30 a.m. and found a white RV playing a recorded announcement stating that it would explode in 15 minutes before it switched to playing Petula Clark’s 1964 hit “Downtown”—a song that talks about being lonely and going downtown when feeling the blues.

“When you’re alone and life is making you lonely / You can always go downtown.

“When you’ve got worries, all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know, downtown…”

Officers rushed to the homes of nearby residents and were able to get them to evacuate before the explosion. The RV exploded approximately at 6:30 a.m., CNN reported.

Anthony Warner was inside the RV and died in the explosion.

“He was present when the bomb went off and he perished in the bombing,” said Don Cochran, U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Six cops are being hailed as heroes after getting neighbors and residents out of harm’s way and potentially save the lives of many.

Police searched Anthony Quinn Warner’s home after the bombing.

An RV parked in the yard of a property registered to Anthony Quinn Warner (Google Street View)

In addition to tips from the public, Tennessee Highway Patrol discovered a vehicle part from the RV with a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) linking it to Warner.

SWAT cleaned through Anthony Q. Warner’s duplex home in Antioch and searched for explosives and evidence connecting him to the crime.

Google street view also showed the same RV in the bombing to be the same vehicle in Warner’s yard parked behind a wooden fence in March and May of 2019.

Authorities used DNA to confirm Warner was killed in the explosion.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Monday they were still working on identifying a motive and Warner’s mother is cooperating with the investigation.

Anthony Q. Warner worked as an IT specialist and quit his job earlier this month.

Pictured: Anthony Quinn Warner

According to KIRO7, Anthony Warner worked several information technology jobs over the years and owned a burglar alarm business from 1993 to 1998.

His most recent job was as an independent computer technician with the real estate firm Fridrich & Clark in Nashville.

Following the bombing, the president of Fridrich & Clark Realty, Steve Fridrich, told police that Warner worked occasionally for the company as a contractor and was not considered an employee.

Fridrich also told police that Warner sent the company an email on December 5th stating that he was retiring.

“He’s a nice guy, and this seems uncharacteristic of the Tony we know,” Fridrich told the New York Times via text message. “He was very professional and knew his stuff.”

Anthony Warner was said to be quiet and a recluse who loved his dogs.

Anthony Warner’s neighbors told authorities that he rarely left his home and kept to himself.

They said Warner spent most of his time working in the yard and would engage in small talk with them from time to time, however they would never see anyone coming or leaving his home.

“You never saw anyone come and go. Never saw him go anywhere,” Warner’s neighbor of 10 years Steve Schmoldt told police. “As far as we knew, he was kind of a computer geek that worked at home.”

Another neighbor who lived near Warner for years told police that he saw Warner getting his mail last week and waved at him, but Warner did not return the gesture.

Warner was also said by neighbors to have dogs that he took really good care of, even building a wheelchair ramp for them when they got older.

Warner also wasn’t the type to get into trouble. He only had one run-in with the law which was way back in 1978.  Warner was a young adult then and was charged with felony drug possession. He served two years of probation.

Days before the bombing, Warner told a neighbor the world was “never going to forget” him.

Rick Laude, another neighbor of Anthony Warner’s, said he saw the man near his mailbox last Monday (Dec. 21), and he pulled his car over to chat with Warner and ask how his elderly mother was doing.

According to the Associated Press, Laude said he casually asked Warner: “Is Santa going to bring you anything good for Christmas?” Laude said Warner smiled and then replied: “Oh, yeah, Nashville and the world is never going to forget me.”

Laude, a 57-year-old commercial truck driver, said he didn’t think too much of Warner’s statement at first, thinking that Warner only meant that “something good” was going to happen for him.

Laude said he was “speechless” once he found out that authorities had identified Warner as the suspected bomber.

“Nothing about this guy raised any red flags,” Laude said. “He was just quiet.”

Warner gave expensive gifts to people he knew prior to the bombing.

According to The Daily Mail, Anthony Warner transferred ownership of his $160,000 home to a 25-year-old woman who lives in Los Angeles named Michelle Swing at the end of November.

Warner also wrote a letter to  Swing explaining that the basement in the home needed some work.

“The attic has plywood and lighting, take a look. The basement is not normal, take a look. Woof woof Julio,” Warner wrote in the letter.

Swing told authorities that she never met Warner in person, but did speak to him over the phone the week before Thanksgiving.

She also sent authorities the letter that Warner wrote to her. Authorities believe that Warner once had a relationship with Swing’s mother, which may explain why he gifted her the home.

Warner is also said to have told an ex-girlfriend he had cancer and gave her his car.

7-Year-Old Kennedy Maxie in Critical Condition After Getting Shot in the Head by Stray Bullet at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta

The 7-year-old girl who is in critical condition after being struck by a stray bullet Monday evening (Dec. 21) while Christmas shopping with her family in Buckhead has been identified as Kennedy Maxie.

Maxie, who lives in the Mableton area of Cobb County was shot in the back of the head while riding with her mother and aunt near Phipps Plaza.

Kennedy’s aunt told police she was driving the girl and her mother by the upscale shopping mall when they heard several gunshots.

The aunt said moments later, she noticed Kennedy was “acting strangely” and realized she’d been shot. She said she drove straight to the hospital, where the little girl was rushed into surgery in critical condition.

Investigators said they don’t believe the family’s Lexus was the intended target of the shooting, which stemmed from an argument between several men in the parking lot of Saks Fifth Avenue.

Atlanta Police Chief Rodney Bryant called the incident “a senseless shooting” and said it “derived from individuals unable to resolve a situation civilly.”

No arrests have been made yet, and the police are still reviewing surveillance footage from the parking lot so that they can try and identify the shooter.

Police said they’re unsure of how many of the people involved in that dispute had guns or how many were brandished and fired, but they’re working on getting as much information as possible.

“As we go through that video, I’m sure that in the very near future we will release some images out to the public in hopes of getting (suspects) identified,” Lt. Pete Malecki, the police’s homicide commander, said.

A $15,000 reward is being offered for information leading to suspects involved in the shooting.

Atlanta Police said Kennedy’s family released her photo in the hopes that it’ll help lead to tips.

“I can imagine the pain this family is going through because I have a daughter of my own,” said Atlanta attorney Jackie Patterson, who contributed $5,000 of his own money to increase the reward in the case.

“It’s Christmastime and this is just so tragic. I just want to do what I can to try to bring the shooter to justice.”

A GoFundMe page has been started to help Maxie’s family, and it has so far raised just under $8,500 as of the time this article was published.

Monday’s incident at Phipps Plaza comes amid a recent uptick of shootings and crime in the area, including three shootings inside Lenox Square Mall within the past two months. There’ve been at least seven shooting incidents over the past year, one of which was fatal.

Simon Property Group, the company that owns Lenox and Phipps, announced last Monday (Dec. 14) that they were adding metal detectors to all of the entrances at Lenox to help combat crime.

Whodini Rapper & Co-Founder John “Ecstasy” Fletcher Dead at 56

John “Ecstasy” Fletcher, who co-founded the legendary Hip-Hop group Whodini, has died. He was 56 years old.

The rapper’s death was announced Wednesday (Dec. 23) by Questlove, who remembered him as a “legendary and a pivotal member of one of the most legendary groups in hip-hop.”

John was living in the Atlanta area at the time of his passing, which has come as a huge shock to the industry. A cause of death hasn’t been announced by the family yet.

John (aka “Ecstacy”) formed Whodini in Brooklyn with Jalil Hutchins in 1982 before DJ Grandmaster Dee joined the group in 1986.

The iconic trio recorded a number of classic hits, including “Friends,” “Freaks Come Out at Night” and “The Haunted House of Rock.”

Whodini was most recently honored in 2018 at the third annual Black Music Honors where they received the Hip Hop Icon Award.

Ecstacy, who along with Jalil provided the vocals, was known for his trademark “Zorro” hat, which helped him become one of rap music’s first sex symbols.

Whodini was managed by Russell Simmons during the heyday in the 1980s, and they were one of the earliest acts to combine rap and rock. They were also the first to perform live with b-boy dancers and their sound heavily influenced the launch of the New Jack Swing sound.

Jermaine Dupri, who started his career as a dancer for the group, offered his condolences after the sad news broke.

“My God, this one hurts me so bad, I can’t even believe I’m posting this,” he wrote. “Ex, you know I love you. Thank you for every word, every conversation, every good time. May your soul rest in power.”

Speech from Arrested Development said: “#RIPecstasy My full heart goes out to the family and friends of the legendary Ecstasy from the landmark hip hop group #Whodini. They were the first to make adult hop hop, with melodic music, huge soundscapes and sex appeal for the ladies. This man will be SORELY MISSED!”

Ice Cube thanked John for “showing us how to do it,” rapper Q-Tip remembered him as “one of the most under appreciated voices in hip hop,” and LL Cool J called his friend “one of the most important people in this culture to me.”

Chuck D also paid homage, recalling the time John mentored him in the summer of 1987 and how he was always there to give him tips and advice.

Ohio Teen Murdered in Front of Friends During Girls’ Night: “The Dude Just Came in & Shot Her”

The family of an Ohio teen with a promising future is suffering greatly after her life was taken this past weekend.

19-year-old Daneajia Smith was pronounced dead Saturday (Dec. 19) after being shot while attending a “girls night” with friends.

Smith attended Terra State Community College and played on the women’s basketball team during the 2019-2020 season.

Daneajia pictured with her college basketball teammates in 2019.

21-year-old Andre L. Overton has been arrested in connection with Smith’s shooting death.

Daneajia’s aunt, Libra Johnson, told local reporters that her niece loved to play basketball and was the type who never got in trouble.

“Daneajia is a really, really outgoing person,” Ms. Johnson—who has been helping to raise and care for Daneajia ever since her mother passed when she was just seven months old—told the Toledo Blade on Monday.

“She was nice. She wasn’t no trouble and she wasn’t a disrespectful young lady. She was respectful. She loved playing basketball.”

Johnson said on the day Daneajia was killed she was supposed to be meeting the family at a basketball game at 3 p.m., but never showed up.

Johnson said she received a phone call around 6 p.m. Saturday stating that Daneajia had been murdered.

Police said they arrived at a residence at the 1200 block of Mason Street just before 4:30 p.m. and found Daneajia with three gunshot wounds to the head.

All of the wounds were on the right side of her face and none of them were at close-range.

Johnson said that Daneajia was supposed to be attending a “girls’ night,” but she said she didn’t know the people at the East Toledo home where the gathering was to take place. She said she only learned bits and pieces of the incident from one of her niece’s friends.

Johnson also said that Daneajia’s killer, Andre L. Overton, who reportedly lives at the residence, had no reason for taking her life.

“She was in the room and [her friend] said the dude just came in and shot her. I guess he had no reason or explanation for why he did,” Johnson said.

Overton fled the scene before police arrived, but around 4 a.m. Sunday, a trooper spotted a vehicle driving 80 mph in a 60 mph zone on I-475 near Douglas Road, and when the trooper pulled over the vehicle, they found Mr. Overton behind the wheel.

When troopers searched his vehicle, they found cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana.

Overton was arrested for felony possession and drug trafficking charges, including a misdemeanor marijuana possession offense, as well as charges of operating a vehicle while impaired, a speed violation, failure to wear a seatbelt, and driving under suspension, according to a spokesman with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

While incarcerated, Overton admitting to shooting Smith, and he was subsequently charged with murder.

His bond was set at $1 million, and he’s scheduled for a preliminary hearing on December 28th.

Tamar Braxton Says She Tried to Kill Herself Because Her 7-Year-Old Son Logan “Deserved Better”

Tamar Braxton opened up about her suicide attempt in a speak peek of her interview with Taraji P. Henson.

In an exclusive clip from ET of Tamar’s interview on the actress’ new Facebook Watch show Peace of Mind With Taraji, Tamar revealed exactly what was going through her mind when she decided to attempt suicide, saying that her 7-year-old son Logan Herbert would be better off without her.

“Logan was the reason why I made that decision,” Tamar explained to Taraji as she broke down into tears. “I just felt like he deserved better. I felt like I was embarrassing him, being a fool on TV,”

“You thought he would be better without you?” a shocked Taraji asked Tamar, who replied: “I thought, in that moment.”

Tamar sat down with Taraji in November, just four months after the singer and reality star was found “unresponsive” by her boyfriend at the time, David Adefeso, at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Downtown Los Angeles just hours after the trailer for her new shot Tamar Get Your Life debuted.

WeTV postponed the show’s premiere until September, saying in a statement: “our first concern is for [Tamar’s] recovery and well-being.”

“I didn’t want him to be embarrassed in front of his friends,” Tamar went on, continuing to explain why she tried to take her own life in the name of her son. “Here is this loudmouth ghetto mama,” she added.

Tamar described the night she attempted suicide as the “lowest point” of her life. “Because I knew that, that’s not what my whole life really was—that’s not who I was,” the singer added.

Tamar’s interview with Taraji will also see her opening up about the toxic relationship between her sisters—Toni, Traci, Towanda and Trina Braxton—as well as her hex David.

K. Michelle is sick of Maino telling the world her cat stinks and is suing him over it.

During a recent Clubhouse chat Michelle hosted titled “Maino is from 63rd and he beats women,” the songstress expressed her frustration at the Brooklyn rapper for spreading rumors that she has a foul odor down under.

At some point during the chat, when the other moderators tried to let the rapper into the room, K. Michelle told them to block him out so that he couldn’t join in, and that’s when she revealed that she will be serving him legal papers over his stinky allegations.

“That b*tch can go suck a d**k and get this lawsuit in January. I want the courts to handle him,” K said.

According to K.Michelle, Maino lied on her puss all to promote a mixtape.

“You want to do this because of a mixtape,” she said. “I am taking you to court for defamation. You don’t know me like that. We cool, but you know you did not sleep with me like that. You have no rights to talk about anything with my vagina.”

We don’t know who to believe in this one … so we just gone stay out of it.
