Chadwick Boseman Honored With Beautiful “Black Panther” Mural in Downtown Disney

Chadwick Boseman is being honored with a mural at Downtown Disney in Disneyland in California.

The mural was officially unveiled Thursday (Sep. 24) and it features powerful artwork from former Disney Imagineer Nikkolas Smith showing the late Marvel star giving the world-famous “Wakanda Forever” salute to a young, Black boy in a hospital gown wearing a “Black Panther” mask.

Boseman, who passed away from colon cancer last month at the age of 43, famously visited children with cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital while also privately battling the disease.

“This one is special. My King Chad tribute is now on a wall on display at Downtown Disney,” Smith wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him posing in front of the mural.

“It is a full circle moment for me: my final two projects as a Disney Imagineer last summer were working on the children’s hospital project and the Avengers Campus.

“To millions of kids, T’Challa was a legend larger than life, and there was no one more worthy to fill those shoes than Chadwick Boseman. I’m so thankful to be able to honor Chadwick’s life and purpose in this way. I am grateful to the Disney family for being so supportive of my journey as an artist.”

Boseman was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016, and over four years, the disease progressed to stage 4, his family would later reveal after his death.

Despite never speaking publicly about his diagnosis, Boseman worked through his treatment throughout much of his film career, even while filming Black Panther.

Disneyland is still closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Downtown Disney reopened back in July with capacity restrictions.

Tory Lanez Denies Shooting Megan Thee Stallion, Says Her Team is “Trying to Frame” Him & Pay Him Off

Tory Lanez has finally broken his silence and is sharing his side about what happened the night Megan Thee Stallion was shot.

Thursday afternoon (Sep. 24), Tory took to Twitter to apologize to his fans for his “silence” and announced that he had “time today” to speak about something at 9 p.m. PST, which led fans to believe that he would be going live on Instagram.

But when the time came, Tory instead dropped a new 17-track album called Daystar, which is also his legal first name.

The project’s first song, “Money Over Fallouts,” addresses the Megan Thee Stallion shooting incident right out the gate.

The track opens up with a media montage highlighting the negative coverage Tory received as a result of the shooting, and then he says: “I’m done with this you gotta know the truth” before rapping about the incident.

At one point, he denies shooting Meg and says that her people are “trying to frame me” … “but them boys ain’t clean enough.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CFi8rFLHzdS/

He also calls out industry colleagues who were speaking bad on his name after the incident and saying that he was canceled.

“Seeing certain ni**as hating, like, how this ni**a hating?” Lanez raps. “I done gave these ni**as so much features, made these ni**as features / They was on the blog saying I’m canceled from this entertainment / I was on that Spotify like 30 million monthly listeners, I’m f**king going crazy.”

Tory also said that he was “hurt” by Kehlani removing his “Can I” verse from her deluxe album release and Kaash Paige saying he doesn’t respect women.

“I got nothing but love to spread, but ni**as hate me / Hurt my heart to see them Twitter fingers come from Kehlani’s and Kaash Paige / But I flipped the switch, I’m gripping money at that fast pay / And don’t ask me for sh*t when it gets real, that’s my last favor.”

He then circled back to denying that he shot Megan Thee Stallion, saying that she “had the nerve to write that statement on an affidavit … Knowing I ain’t do it but I’m coming at my truest.”

He went on:

“Knowing I ain’t do it but I’m coming at my truest / Trying to keep this sh*t 200 with you, shorty, I can’t prove it / But those people in your ear, they the true ones that I fear / They really got you thinking Tory Lanez would do you in for real

“Don’t forget you was my bitch, I held it down and kept it real / I would never paint no fake picture of you just for some mills / And I thought you was solid too, but look at how you doing me / Look at how you doing me, people trying to ruin me.

“And what’s even worse is I’m still thinking about you and me / How you going live my birthday with all your jewelry to try to make some fool of me? / But I love you hard so I’ma cool it B / ‘Cause I was coolin’ right with Cuban, B, that was a stupid me.

“Somehow I’m still down to renegotiate the unity / My heart is some foolery, the sh*t is just confusing me / I’m going through these phases, but I gotta stack that paper.”

Then, here’s the kicker … where he raises questions about her gunshot wound and accuses her team of trying to pay him off to stay silent about what “really” went down:

“Gotta see a couple questions: how the f**k you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons? / How the f**k your team is trying to pay me in some whole millions? […] So I don’t give a sh*t if shorty know Jigga / I was taught to beat the block / Eeny meeny miny in these streets, and so my nina cocked.

“Niggas, y’all can play me, y’all can frame me, but I’ma reach the top / I would never put you in no danger, and if I did, you would’ve said it when you seen the cops.”

Tory also addressed the shooting once again in another song called “Sorry But I Had To…

He said:

“I’m watchin’ ni**as analyze me, how you protectin’ me / But made this whole plan to fry me? / Since the event, you never call me but you can’t deny me / If you got shot from behind, how can you identify me?”

Whew, chile … the AUDACITY!

Charles Barkley Defends Cops Who Killed Breonna Taylor, Says Black People Should Shut Up About Defunding Police

Charles Barkley drew ire on social media after he made some eyebrow-raising comments on television about Breonna Taylor, saying that her murder at the hands of police during a botched raid was different than the killings of George Floyd or Ahmaud Arbery and speaking out in defense of the cops who killed her.

On Wednesday (Sep. 23), it was announced by a grand jury that none of the three Louisville Metro Police Department officers would be charged in connection with Taylor’s killing.

Instead, fired cop Brett Hankison was charged with three counts of “wanton endangerment” because the shots he fired passed through Taylor’s apartment walls into a neighboring apartment endangering the lives of three people inside.

“It’s bad the young lady lost her life, but we do have to take into account that her boyfriend did shoot at the cops and shot a cop,” Barkley said Thursday night on TNT’s 2020 NBA Playoffs Tip-Off show in reference to Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, firing a warning shot after being awoken to what he thought was intruders breaking into their home.

“So, like I said,” he continued, “even though I’m really sorry she lost her life, I don’t think that we can just put this in the same situation as George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery. I just don’t believe that.”

Barkley’s co-host Shaquille O’Neal—who is an honorary deputy city marshal in Georgia and a reserve officer in California, Arizona and Florida—agreed with Barkley’s comments.

“I have to agree with Charles, this one is sort of lumped in,” Shaq said. “You have to get a warrant signed and some states do allow no-knock warrants. And everyone was asking for murder charges.

“When you talk about murder, you have to show intent. A homicide occurred and we’re sorry a homicide occurred. When you have a warrant signed by the judge, you are doing your job, and I would imagine that you would fire back.”

Barkley also said that he’s not a fan of the Black Lives Matter movement calling for the defunding of police departments, arguing that pulling cops off the streets would hurt lower-income black communities the most.

“We have to really be careful,” Barkley said. “I hear these fools on tv talking about ‘defund the police’ and things like that. We need police reform, prison reform, and things like that. Because you know who ain’t going to defund the cops? White neighborhoods and rich neighborhoods.”

“So, that notion, they keep saying that,” Barkley continued. “I’m like, wait a minute, who are black people supposed to call? Ghostbusters?”

“We need police reform,” he reiterated. “But like I say, white people, especially rich white people, they’re always going to have cops. So we need to stop that ‘defund’ or ‘abolish the cops’ crap.”

Charles Barkley has said some crazy stuff in the past (Remember what he said about Eric Garner?), so folks weren’t surprised about his comments about Breonna Taylor, yet that didn’t stop them from voicing their opinions on Twitter:

T.I. Says He Talked With Tory Lanez About Megan Thee Stallion Shooting: He Said It “Didn’t Happen Like That”

T.I. is opening up about a recent conversation he had with Tory Lanez regarding the Megan Thee Stallion shooting.

In a new interview with Complex, the rapper explained why he came to Megan Thee Stallion’s defense after she revealed that Tory Lanez had shot her in both her feet.

“I feel like Black women are the most attacked, least protected, least defended, most vulnerable, and most exposed species on this Earth,” Tip said.

“I don’t know what the f**k happened. I know what she says happened, but I don’t know why it happened. But I know if it did happen, that’s everybody’s responsibility to make sure that this young lady feels supported and that she knows that the community and the culture is behind her.

“I think that’s important. I think that’s all of our obligation and responsibilities, not even as artists, or as rappers, or as executives in this business, but as men, as a Black man. We can’t allow nobody, myself included, to be out here goddamn letting off shots at women in bikinis. Now, I just have a problem with that.”

He then went on to say that he spoke with Tory Lanez about the incident personally, and Lanez told him the shooting “didn’t happen like that.”

“I spoke to him and he said the sh*t didn’t happen like that,” T.I. told Complex.

“I said, ‘Well, you need to be saying something, bruh. How did it happen?’ And he said he couldn’t say nothing about how it did actually happen. I told him I understood that.

“I said, ‘Man, you can’t expect nobody to ignore the facts that are being presented if you don’t have any other conclusive facts that can overturn these. You got to say something, bruh.’

“If you ain’t going to say nothing, you can’t expect nobody else to. I ain’t about to just shut up when you got facts out here that say it’s a woman been shot at the hands of another Black man within the culture. We’ve got to speak out on that. We’re the f**k ni**as if we don’t.”

Elsewhere in the interview, T.I. spoke on Kanye West, the possibility of releasing a joint album with Young Thug, his upcoming CBS series with 50 Cent and more.

Meanwhile, Tory Lanez himself has finally broken his silence about the shooting.

He tweeted on Thursday (Sep. 24): “To my fans … I’m sorry for my silence …. but respectfully .. I got time today …… 9 PM PST.”

It’s not clear what he’ll be doing at that time, but people are speculating that he’ll either drop a new song or go on Instagram Live to finally tell his side of the story.

Bow Wow Confirms Birth of Son With Instagram Model Olivia Sky: “You Gone Take All the Girls” (PHOTOS)

Bow Wow is a dad … again!

The rapper took to social media Thursday (Sep. 24) to share the first photo of his second child, his son, “Prince Bow,” with Instagram model Oliva Sky.

“Man you gone take all the girls,” Bow captioned the photo of his baby boy on Twitter.

He also posted the same picture on his Instagram Story before sharing one of his “twin”, his 9-year-old daughter Shai.

Bow Wow sparked rumors that he had a son when he posted a preview of a new song called “D.W.M.O.D. (Dealing With My Own Demons)” last Tuesday (Sep. 15).

“Shai askin’ about a brother, I don’t know what to say / That’s gon’ be one of them talks we have face-to-face,” Bow rapped in the song.

“I’m lookin’ in his eyes, I’m trying to see me in him/ I’m peepin’ out his swag, and I see the resemblance/Seen the boy three times, why would I lie?/ Baby moms gon’ bring him through just so we spend some time.”

Days later, Olivia sent the rumor mill into overdrive by posting a photo of the baby with the caption “My Dawg for life,” and fans pointed out that he looked a lot like Bow Wow. That, plus the “dawg for life” reference had many believing that the kid was Bow’s son.

Now it looks like things are official, and congrats are in order for Bow Wow and Olivia Sky!

Instagram & TikTok Star ZayWoah Shot Dead at 18, Pregnant Girlfriend Accused of Setting Up Murder

ZayWoah, a popular Instagram influencer and TikTok star, was shot and killed in Montgomery County, Ohio earlier this week, and his pregnant girlfriend is being accused of setting up the murder.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the 18-year-old content creator was found in an apartment with a gunshot wound during the early morning hours of Tuesday (Sep. 22) and was pronounced dead after first responders were called to the scene.

Dispatch records noted that the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

ZayWoah, whose real name was Zyi’Air Sherre, had over 300,000 followers on Instagram and also regularly posted videos on TikTok (where he had close to 300K followers) and Dubsmash.

Sherrer’s shooting death remains under investigation, and no suspects have been named, however, a fellow social media star and friend of Sherrer’s, Gutta K, posted that the influencer’s girlfriend, Kamaree (aka “Kam”)—who is currently pregnant with his child and posted on social media that she was due in February—may have had something to do with the killing.

Following the sad news of ZayWoah’s passing, Gutta K shared an emotional post on Instagram, writing: “Can’t believe we really saying goodbye to you Zay man it was just yesterday we was cracking jokes talking sh*t.

“You was so dope and so much life to live god called one [of] his lucky angels home and all your friends can do is mourn. We all love you and have memories to hold onto forever please watch over me tell my dad I miss him save me a spot in heaven love you man @zaywoah.”

In another post, Gutta K made a number of shocking claims, alleging that ZayWoah was “set up” by his girlfriend and the mother of his child, Kamaree.

Though the validity of the video hasn’t been verified, a person in the clip (possibly Gutta K) claims to have seen Kamaree and ZayWoah’s killer walking together prior to the shooting.

“God please take this weight off my chest … please bring justice for Zay!” Gutta K captioned the post.

According to local media reports, Kamaree was with ZayWoah at the time of the shooting at the Fountainhead apartments, and she’s the one who called 911 to report that he’d been shot.

It’s important to note that the accusations against ZayWoah’s girlfriend/baby mama are pure speculation at this point, but that hasn’t stopped social media from talking.

In addition to being a social media influencer, ZayWoah also had a budding music career that began to take off this year.

Using the rap name 6fg Zyi, he’d released two singles last month: “What You Need” and “Anybody Else But You.” Both tracks featured rapper 6Figure Retta and had racked up thousands of views on YouTube.

After ZayWoah’s death was confirmed, his friends and supporters took to social media to share memories and their reactions to the sad news.

Delonte West Spotted in Dallas Holding Sign Begging for Food & Money, NBA Has Been Trying to Help Him for Months

A new photo that has surfaced of Delonte West on the streets of Dallas holding up a sign begging for food and money has prompted calls for the people who were once close to him to step in and get him some help.

But as it turns out, former NBA players and coaches have been trying to help Delonte for MONTHS.

According to TMZ Sports, multiple sources say that folks with the NBA, the Players Association, and even Delonte’s former coach Doc Rivers and his former St. Joe’s college teammate Jameer Nelson, among others, have been trying to get West the help he desperately needs.

West—who was the 24th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft and played 8 seasons for the SuperSonics, the Mavericks, the Cavaliers and the Celtics (where he played for Rivers)—has been dealing with mental health issues over the years, and his struggles have been well documented, as this is far from the first time photos or videos have surfaced causing serious concern about his well-being.

Back in 2016, when a fan spotted West by himself wandering around the parking lot of a Jack in the Box without shoes on and asked him if he was the former NBA star, West responded: “I used to be but I’m not about that life anymore.”

In August 2019, someone snapped a picture of Delonte sitting on a curb somewhere looking down and out, and a few months later, in January 2020, footage surfaced appearing to show him acting erratically after getting into a fight in the middle of a street in Washington, D.C.

Delonte’s former agent, Aaron Goodwin, said at the time that the former NBA player has a support system around him … but his close friends and family need more help with keeping him safe and out of trouble because they can only do so much, and West has to be willing to accept the help for it to really work.

Here’s to hoping that one day (hopefully soon) Delonte finally allows his loved ones to help him.

Suspect Who Shot 2 Louisville Cops During Breonna Taylor Protests Identified

Officials with the Louisville Metro Police Department have identified the man in custody who they say shot and wounded two police officers Wednesday night (Sep. 23) amid protests in the city.

The Louisville Courier-Journal reports:

Larynzo Johnson, 26, was arrested at 8:40 p.m., according to his citation, which stated he would face multiple charges of first-degree assault of a police officer and first-degree wanton endangerment.

LMPD interim Chief Ronert Schroeder said Thursday that the suspect will be charged with two counts of assault and 14 counts of wanton endangerment, “all directed against police officers.”

Johnson is accused of shooting two LMPD officers around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night, as protests continued across the city in the aftermath of the announcement that just one of the three officers who fired their weapons the night Breonna Taylor was killed would face charges.

Johnson’s arrest citation, provided by the office of the Jefferson County Circuit Court clerk, said the suspect’s actions “showed an extreme indifference to the value of human life” and put officers at the scene in danger of death or serious injury.

The citation said LMPD officers were responding to a large crowd at Broadway and Brook Street in downtown Louisville that had set fires and would not disperse after being warned.

Johnson was among the crowd and “intentionally used a handgun to fire multiple bullets at officers. Two officers with LMPD were struck by the bullets causing serious physical injury.”

Witnesses identified him as firing the gun and then running from the scene, the citation states, and he was in possession of a handgun when he was detained.

Footage reviewed by LMPD officers, according to the citation, showed him firing the weapon, and a National Integrated Ballistic Information Network examiner was looking into an association between the firearm recovered and shell casings recovered from the scene.

“There is a high probability that a microscopic comparison, by a firearms examiner, will confirm the association between the firearm’s ballistic evidence,” the citation from the arresting officer states.

Johnson’s record shows no previous arrests for violent crimes or felony convictions. His address on the arrest citation listed no home address but “CAL,” meaning city at large.

One Facebook Live video taken at the time of the shooting by someone in the crowd appears to show a man in a multicolored hooded sweatshirt firing a handgun at a group of officers. A man was taken into custody wearing a shirt that appeared to match that description.

The two officers injured in Wednesday night’s shooting were identified Thursday morning as Maj. Aubrey Gregory and Robinson Desroches, an officer with LMPD’s Second Division who has been with the department since March 2019.

Gregory was hit in the hip and was released from the hospital overnight, LMPD interim Chief Robert Schroeder said, while Desroches underwent surgery after being hit in the abdomen. He is also expected to make a full recovery, Schroeder said.

“Last night’s situation could have been so much worse for our officers and for the people who were protesting when the gunfire rang out,” Schroeder said. “… We are extremely fortunate these two officers will recover.”

The night before, Schroeder described the tense situation as “very serious” as he spoke with reporters in a press briefing that was broken up after just minutes.

“I am very concerned about the safety of our officers,” Schroeder said. “Obviously we’ve had two officers shot tonight, and that is very serious. … I think the safety of our officers and the community we serve is of the utmost importance.”

And to think … all of this could have been avoided had they arrested the cops who killed Breonna Taylor.

Louisville Protesters Set Courthouse on Fire After Breonna Taylor Decision (VIDEO)

The civil unrest in Louisville is intensifying after a grand jury decided not to charge any of the officers involved in Breonna Taylor’s shooting death with her killing.

In response to the decision, protesters took to the streets, and things got violent very quickly.

Amid reports that at least two officers have been shot during the protests, video footage emerged showing protesters setting fire to a Louisville courthouse and chanting “burn it down” among other things.

The Louisville Metro Police Department declared a state of emergency days before Wednesday’s decision to prepare for what’s currently happening in the city.

The windows of the courthouse were also boarded up and a judge signed an order to close the building ahead of the decision, so it’s likely there was no serious damage. Still, it shows that people are fed up with the law.

Wednesday afternoon (Sep. 23), a judge for the Jefferson County grand jury announced that Brett Hankison would be the only officer charged, not for Breonna’s death, but because the shots he fired passed through Taylor’s apartment walls into a neighboring apartment and endangering the lives of three people inside.

Hankison was charged with three counts of wanton endangerment, one count for each of the occupants in the home next to Taylor’s: a pregnant woman, her husband and their 5-year-old child, who were all asleep. They weren’t hit by any of the bullets.

Wanton endangerment, which can also be referred to as “reckless endangerment,” is a Class D felony in Kentucky and a conviction can carry a sentence of up to five years in prison as well as a fine.

Hankinson’s bail was set at $15,000.

At Least 2 Louisville Police Officers Shot During Protests Over Breonna Taylor Decision

At least two Louisville police officers were wounded in a shooting downtown Wednesday night (Sep. 23) amid protests in response to the grand jury’s decision not to charge anyone for Breonna Taylor’s murder.

Reporters are saying that the Louisville Metro Police Department officer was shot at approximately 8:30 p.m. local time. Additional details regarding the officers’ conditions haven’t been revealed.

Videos are circulating social media showing protesters running as shots are fired.

The violence erupted after authorities announced that the officers who shot Taylor will not be criminally charged because her boyfriend shot at them first while they were executing a search warrant at her home.

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron said that the police, contrary to reports and Taylor’s boyfriend Kenneth Walker’s own mouth, “knocked and announced” themselves, and did not execute a “no-knock warrant” as previously reported, basically calling Taylor’s boyfriend a bold-faced liar because he said that the police did not announce themselves.

DJ Boof Threatens to Expose Wendy Williams After Getting Fired: “I Don’t Got the Tea, I Got the Coffee!”

DJ Boof has threatened to expose Wendy Williams after being unceremoniously fired from her talk show.

When Wendy kicked off The Wendy Williams Show‘s 12th season Monday (Sep. 21), she not only showed off a new look after losing 25 pounds, but she also showed off that she’d gotten a new DJ in replace of DJ Boof, who’s made regular appearances on the show over the years.

Wendy’s fans were shocked to see that Boof had been replaced with DJ Suss One, especially following rumors that Boof and Wendy were dating.

Now, DJ Boof is responding to the reports that he was fired from the show, saying that’s just the tip of the iceberg and he’s ready to air out all of Williams’ dirty laundry.

During a recent Instagram Live session, Boof hinted that he found out about his replacement the same way everyone else did.

“Sh*t about to be crazy y’all,” he said, adding: “God don’t like ugly. This little DJ is powerful. I didn’t know I was this powerful. I didn’t know I had this much weight. I did not know the sort of people I know, the sort of handle I got.”

He went on: “I feel thankful, I’m blessed. I’m thankful, you know, you never know who really f**ks with you. God don’t like ugly, and when I say sh*t about to be crazy, it’s about to be crazy.”

Responding to a comment from someone who said he “got the juice,” Boof said, laughing: “I don’t got the juice, I don’t got the tea, I got the f**kin’ coffee.”

Fans first became aware of Boof’s apparent firing after DJ Suss One announced on Instagram that he’d taken over the DJ position of Wendy’s talk show.

“Breaking News. I’m spinning on the @wendyshow every weekday Monday thru Friday starting today. Season 12,” Suss One said alongside a photo and footage of him on the set of the show.

Though the true reason behind DJ Suss replacing DJ Boof on the show remains unclear, it’s being speculated that Wendy decided to fire Boof after their “personal” relationship soured.

On top of that, Boof is also Nicki Minaj’s DJ … and Wendy and Nicki aren’t on the best terms after Wendy has been dissing the rapper’s husband, Kenneth Petty.

Louisville Protesters Chant “Burn It Down!” After Cops Who Killed Breonna Taylor Aren’t Charged for Her Murder (VIDEOS)

Protesters have taken to the streets of Louisville after the Jefferson County grand jury announced their decision to charge just ONE officer, Brett Hankison, with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment … not for killing Breonna Taylor, but for bullets that entered neighboring apartments.

A couple of recently emerged videos show a group of protesters unloading riot shields, signs and other supplies form a Uhaul truck, while other videos show a large group of protesters marching down the street chanting “burn it down!” and “f**k those racist a** police!”

Another video shows protesters urging motorists to not even attempt to go down any downtown streets. “Ain’t nobody going anywhere today,” one can be heard saying.

Louisville was preemptively placed on lockdown and a state of emergency was declared in advance of Wednesday’s announcement, as authorities predicted widespread unrest in the city similar to the protests that have sprung up nationwide since May following Taylor’s death and the police killing of George Floyd.

Detective Brett Hankison Charged With First-Degree “Wanton Endangerment” in Breonna Taylor Shooting Death, $15K Bond Set

The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted one officer on criminal charges six months after Breonna Taylor was shot and killed by police in Louisville, Kentucky.

In a zoom court hearing, Circuit Judge Annie O’Connell announced that Brett Hankison will be charged with three counts of “wanton endangerment” in the first-degree in Taylor’s shooting death.

According to Kentucky law: “A person is guilty of wanton endangerment in the first degree when, under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life, he wantonly engages in conduct which creates a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person.”

Wanton endangerment in the first degree is a Class D felony, and a conviction carries a maximum penalty of five years.

The Root’s Michael Harriot put it best:

“If Breonna Taylor was an actual drug dealer, she would have received more time than the man who murdered her.

1st Deg. Wanton Endangerment is a Class D felony. Other Class D felonies: shoplifting, cultivating marijuana, eavesdropping & stealing mail.

Most do no prison time.”

It’s important to note that Hankison was NOT charged because he shot and killed Breonna Taylor. He was charged because the bullets he fired entered a neighboring apartment.

Officers Jonathan Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove were not charged, and no homicide charges were pursued.

In other words … NO OFFICERS WERE CHARGED FOR KILLING BREONNA TAYLOR.

Hankison, who will be held on a $15,000 bond once arrested, had already been fired from the Louisville Metro Police Department for showing “extreme indifference to the value of human life” by “blindly” firing 10 rounds into Taylor’s apartment during the raid, according to his termination letter.

Prior to the announcement, the City of Louisville had already preemptively declared a state of emergency and put a 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. curfew in place in anticipation of the ruling.

Cops were told they wouldn’t be able to take time off for a while starting this week so that all hands would be on deck amid expected protests and unrest in the city.

Breonna Taylor, 26, was killed on March 13th when police tried to serve a no-knock warrant at her house.

Both Taylor and her boyfriend Kenneth Walker, who is accused of firing on one of the officers and was previously charged with attempted murder, were sleeping at the time.

The LMPD officers fired over twenty shots. Taylor was shot eight times and LMPD sergeant Mattingly was injured by Walker’s gunfire.

Walker’s attorney said that he opened fire in self-defense and didn’t know it was police at the door.

Taylor’s family recently settled with the city of Louisville for $12 million in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Bobby Shmurda will be in prison a bit longer than expected.

TMZ reports that the rapper went up for a parole hearing, and was denied the ability to be sprung from prison early. He’ll remain in custody until the end of his maximum sentence, which is December 11th, 2021.

A spokesperson from the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision said in a statement: “Following his Sept. 15, 2020, interview with the Board of Parole, Ackquille Pollard was denied release and given a hold until the maximum expiration of his sentence on December 11, 2021.”

TMZ has the full story below:

We know Bobby has NOT been helping his own cause while doing his time. Remember, the rapper racked up 11 violations, including drug possession, fighting and having a shank — and good behavior clearly weighs heavily with the parole board.

As we reported … he copped a plea deal back in September 2016 … to conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of a weapon. The other charges — including conspiracy to commit murder — were tossed.

Bobby was initially sentenced to 6 to 7 years in prison, and he’s been in December 2014.

TMZ broke the story … Bobby’s mother told us her son was ready to drop new music if granted parole, and he also wants to produce a documentary about his life … in the hopes it can be used as an educational tool for troubled youth.

Orlando Brown Gives Testimony in Church About Quitting Drugs & Turning to God

Orlando Brown says he’s done with drugs and is ready to give his life to God.

Footage recently surfaced of Orlando giving a testimony at a church in Texas telling the congregation that he has turned his life around after previously heading into a downward spiral after experimenting with drugs.

The 32-year-old started out by telling everyone his name and saying that they may recognize him “from a little show called ‘That’s So Raven.'”

He went on to state that he dabbled in drugs, including crystal meth, and also had an unhealthy addiction to the internet.

“I went through a lot, ya know,” Brown said. “I experimented with crystal meth, with weed. I didn’t know what I was doing. I had an addiction to the internet. All kinds of stuff.”

Orlando then talked about how his life changed after joining the church, and thanked the members for accepting him for who he is.

“My fiancée told me about this place and when I came it was amazing,” he explained. “I had a blast, these brothers accepted me for who I am.”

“I got a whole team of brothers now,” he added. “The church is lovely. All the leaders are brilliant, their geniuses and men of God.”

Brown, who has had a very public struggle with drugs and his mental health over the years, tells The Christian Post that he’s looking forward to graduating from Rise Discipleship, which is a free 6-month in-patient recovery program run by Rise Church in Abilene, Texas for men struggling with addiction, homelessness and other issues.

The Rise Discipleship website explains: “We help not only those who struggle with drugs and alcohol, but also those who battle depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. Every RISE student will be given a biblical foundation that will assist in character building and the leadership development to approach life in a new light.”

Brown declined to do an extended interview while on his journey with the program, but he did tell the CP that he’s due to graduate in November and “it’s definitely been a great process.”

Brown’s battle with drugs made headlines in February 2016 after he was arrested in Torrance, California and charged with domestic battery, obstruction of justice, drug possession with intent to sell, and possession of contraband in jail after he beat up his girlfriend in the parking lot of a police station.

A few months later, he released a bizarre music video threatening Harvey Levin and accusing Raven Symone of aborting their baby.

(FYI: Brown was previously arrested in 2007 after he was pulled over for driving a friend’s car with the headlights off and police found weed in the vehicle. He was arrested again in 2011 for DUI while his pregnant girlfriend was in the car.)

Brown was arrested again in January 2018 in Barstow, California following a family disturbance in which Brown, his girlfriend, and his girlfriend’s mom got into a verbal argument that got very heated.

He and the GF’s mom were both taken into custody after police found out they both had outstanding warrants, with Brown’s being a result of him failing to appear in court for his 2016 case.

After he was released from jail in Barstow, he ran into legal trouble once again after failing to appear for a scheduled court case and another warrant for issued for his arrest. He was eventually arrested on April 13th, 2018 by bounty hunters in Las Vegas who found him hiding in the closet of a private homeowner.

Nearly two months later, on June 5th, Brown arrested by Las Vegas police at a hotel known for prostitution and illegal drug sale and use.

Police said they found Brown on the building’s roof after security cameras showed him entering the building without permission.

While searching him, police found him in possession of methamphetamine and a pipe, and on top of that, they discovered he had another outstanding warrant for his arrest in relation to an unresolved domestic battery charge.

He was charged with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. His mugshot showed off his new Raven Symone chest tattoo.

Several months later, in September 2018, Brown’s friends and family staged an intervention to urge him to get help.

After a two-week stint in rehab, he was spotted in October walking around a random neighborhood barefoot with a box of wine.

That same year, Brown also made an appearance on “Dr. Phil” making statements that pointed to a very unhealthy mental state, including an outrageous claim that he was Michael Jackson’s son and that his real name is “Orlando Brown Prince Michael Jackson.”

Back in January of this year, Brown made an outlandish claim on Instagram that Nick Cannon once performed oral sex on him while addressing on woman. Cannon denied the claim, calling it “f**king hilarious!!!!” and urging for “better support systems for our youth.”

“I watched various of this young brothers videos and all I see is a cry out for help. So I don’t know if there are any real leaders or solid individuals in this young man’s life but let’s embrace him and tighten him up so he doesn’t become another lost victim to these Hollywood circumstances,” Cannon wrote on Instagram at the time.

In April, Brown claimed that Will Smith raped him when he was a child and that Michael Jackson set the whole thing up.

But now that Brown has found Jesus, with the help of Rise Church, he’s ready to put all of that behind him and live for Christ.

“I can tell you that I’m OK. I’m alive. I was in an unsafe position and it has been shaky but at the end of the day all I can tell you is I’m OK and I’m graduating and I will be getting married,” he said.

Jubal Elrod, whom Brown describes as the “home overseer,” says Brown has done a complete 180 and he’s proud of the man Brown has become.

“He’s completely turned around. He got on this like in his third week, hit it like a man. Now he’s leading classes. He’s actually overseeing discipline and teaching other brothers how to get through it. I’m super proud of you man, proud of you Orlando,” Elrod said Thursday at a fundraising event for the home, which was streamed live on Facebook and is the same event where Brown shared his testimony.

Rise Church founder and senior pastor Ray Sandoval echoed Elrod’s pride in Brown’s progress in the program.

“My student Orlando Brown giving his testimony at Rise Church for the Rise Home rally. Proud of you my bro,” Sandoval wrote in tweet on Sunday.

Jake Gardner, Nebraska Bar Owner Facing 95 Years in Prison for Killing George Floyd Protester, Dies by Suicide

Jake Gardner—the “white supremacist” bar owner from Omaha, Nebraska who killed an unarmed black man during the nationwide protests that took place following the police killing of George Floyd—has died by suicide.

“The family of Jake Gardner has asked Tom Monaghan and myself to share the news of his death today, at his own hand,” one of Gardner’s attorneys, Stu Dornan, said during a news conference Sunday (Sep. 20).

The 38-year-old was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound outside a medical clinic in suburban Portland, Oregon Sunday afternoon, the Hillsboro Police Department said in a news release.

Last week, after a grand jury in Nebraska reviewed Gardner’s cell phone records, Facebook account and video footage from the incident, it was determined Scurlock’s killing was intentional, and he was indicted on charges of manslaughter, the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, attempted first-degree assault and terroristic threats.

The charges stem from the May 30th shooting death of 22-year-old James Scurlock outside Gardner’s bar in Omaha.

Video of the incident obtained by investigators showed Gardner’s father shove a protester after asking them to leave the area.

The unidentified man pushed Gardner’s father back, causing Gardner to intervene and show a handgun, Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said. Two protesters then jumped on top of Gardner and he fired two warning shots.

Scurlock, who wasn’t part of the initial confrontation, then joined the fracas, Kleine said, adding that Gardner told investigators Scurlock put him in a headlock and he begged him to let him go before shooting the man in the clavicle.

Kleine initially declined to charge Gardner with a crime, saying that he acted in self-defense and he didn’t believe his client was “somebody who walked out and was trying to hunt down somebody.”

But days later, Kleine reversed course and requested that his decision be reviewed by a grand jury, who under the guidance of a special prosecutor, ruled out self-defense as a justification.

Gardner was described by social media users as a known “white supremacist,” and it was said that on the night of the shooting, he was heard calling Black protesters the N-word.

Gardner also described himself in previous media stories as a libertarian, a former Marine, and a volunteer for the Trump campaign in 2016.

Gardner’s attorneys said Gardner shot and killed himself on the day he’d said he would surrender to authorities.

They described him as a decorated veteran who served two tours in Iraq and suffered from two traumatic brain injuries.

Gardner’s attorneys said their client had cooperated with authorities the night of the shooting, and he told them that he felt like he “was in a war zone that night,” citing the tear gas and mass confusion as triggers for this PTSD.

The attorneys blamed Gardner’s suicide on an unhealthy mixture of behavioral health problems, stemming from the head trauma he experienced during military service; his belief that people were out to kill him; and an “incessant rush to judgment” by armchair activists on social media.

“I had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Gardner before his return, and he was really shook up,” Dornan said. “The grand jury indictment was a shock to him, it was a shock to us, it was a shock to many people.”

If convicted of the charges, Gardner could have faced up to 95 years in prison.

Violent Brawl Breaks Out at Waffle House Between Staff & Customers Over Confiscated Phone

A violent brawl broke out at a Waffle House between staff members and customers over a confiscated cell phone … and the whole thing was captured on video that has since gone viral.

The fight shared on Twitter over the weekend showed a group of irate customers demanding staffers return a cell phone they were apparently holding behind the counter.

“Ring that one up so we can pay for that one and then you can put up that phone,” one of the women could be heard shouting,” one woman could be heard shouting.

A man was then heard yelling: “Can I please get my goddamn phone? Somebody?” before he goes behind the counter in an apparent attempt to retrieve the device.

The guy is then restrained by two employees, but he repeatedly throws punches at one of the staffers.

Soon after, the other members of the man’s group join in, sparking a massive brawl between the Waffle House employees and the customers.

At one point, while one of the women in the group tries to wrestle the phone out of an employee’s hands, she gets her wig knocked off and her top is pulled down, exposing both of her breasts.

As the woman continues to strong-arm the Waffle House staffer, she says: “We gotta go! We’ve got coke, give us our phone! Get off me whore!”

It’s unclear why the Waffle House employees were holding the phone from the customers, nor is it clear where the incident took place, though some users on social media commented that it happened in Clarksville, Tennessee.

“You can always count on Waffle House,” wrote the Twitter user who shared the footage, which had nearly 3 million views as of Sunday afternoon (Sep. 20).
