“Rupaul’s Drag Race” Star Chi Chi DeVayne Dead at 34 After Being Hospitalized with Pneumonia

Chi Chi DeVayne, an accomplished entertainer who competed on two seasons on the hit VH1 series Rupaul’s Drag Race, has died at the age of 34.

Chi Chi is the stage name of Zavion Davenport, and she appeared on the eighth season of Drag Race as well as the third season of Rupaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars.

News of the drag queen’s passing came Thursday, less than a week after DeVayne informed her Instagram followers that she was back in the hospital.

“Keep me in your prayers. I’ll be back soon,” DeVayne said in a video message shared Saturday morning, which showed her attached to medical equipment while laying down in a hospital bed.

In July, DeVayne was previously hospitalized with high blood pressure and suspected kidney failure, telling fans she had catheters to her heart and kidneys surgically installed before undergoing dialysis treatment. She was eventually discharged later that month.

The Shreveport, La. native rose to national prominence on season 8 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she dazzled with her quick wit and personality before finishing the competition in fourth place.

DeVayne was later asked to return to compete on the third All-Stars spin-off in 2018, but was eliminated on the fourth episode.

Still, she often credited the series with inspiring her to evolve her skills in an art form that served as a gateway for her to escape a difficult upbringing involving gangs and struggles with her sexuality.

“I was so stressed out and it got to a point where I was like, okay, I’m in the bottom every week. It might be time to go home and work a little bit more on my drag,” DeVayne told EW with a laugh shortly after her All-Stars 3 exit. “I’m a real person, and I just felt it was my time to go. There was no reason to be sad or bitter.”

In addition to her appearances on RuPaul’s Drag Race, DeVayne had a small part on season 1 of the Apple TV+ anthology dramedy Little America, appeared on fellow Drag Race alum Yuhua Hamasaki’s Bootleg Opinions YouTube series, and guested on an episode of the popular queer talk show Hey Qween in addition to her various performing gigs and tours as a drag artist.

DeVayne is the second contestant from Drag Race to have died since the show’s inception, following the death of season 2 contestant Sahara Davenport, who died of heart failure in 2012.

According to Love B. Scott, Chi Chi lived with scleroderma, a rare, but potentially life-threatening condition caused by the immune system attacking the tissue under the skin, and around internal organs and blood vessels, which can also cause scarring and thickening of tissue.

Trey Songz Posts “Receipts” to Deny Sexual Assault Allegations, Gets Dragged for Allowing White Woman to Call Him N-Word

Trey Songz is defending himself against allegations of sexual assault after a woman went on a podcast claiming that he performed a sex act on her without her consent.

In a recent interview with the No Jumper podcast, Aliza, a friend of OnlyFans model Celina Powell, spoke about an alleged sexual encounter with the “Nobody Else But You” signer, 35, when she said he took away her phone and purse and wouldn’t let her leave a hotel room.

“I kept asking, like, ‘When can I leave, what time is it?’” Aliza said. “And he just, like, wouldn’t answer, he would just f——- ignore me. And I’m like, ‘Okay.’ And then he was like, ‘You can leave when I go to my flight,’ and I was like, ‘’Kay, when’s that?’ Wouldn’t tell me.”

Aliza also claimed that, during the otherwise conseual encounter, Songz urinated on her without her consent and that she “didn’t know what was happening, he just did it.” She then continued on to say that Songz “already got mad at me for talking about him, but I don’t give a f—.”

On Twitter, Songz (born Tremaine Neverson) addressed the claims, writing that the accusation is “convenient” for someone who seeks “to destroy someone’s life.”

“I usually stay quiet on this but I feel that in many ways the movement to fight for the women who actually have suffered harassment and abuse on various levels, has been hijacked by those who find it convenient for themselves to come up as they seek to destroy someone’s life,” he tweeted.

In another post, Songz wrote that “Jane Doe claimed I sexually assaulted her in Miami” and she “wants me to pay for her therapy and the rest of her school cause of ‘all the trauma she’s been through.'”

“You will choose 2believe what you want,” he wrote in a separate tweet. “I’ve been focusing my energy and time on good things and I know the Devil wants my soul more now than ever. Ima keep my head high and push forward. If you holdin me down in these moments I preciate that.”

In a since-deleted tweet defending himself against the allegations, the “Say Aah” singer said: “Y’all stay ready to believe a bird” and shared screenshots of a DM exchange between himself and Aliza.

In one of the messages in which she tries to link up with the singer, Aliza calls him the n-word (see IG post below and swipe to slide #2).

Mind you, this is the same guy who finds time to call out other Black celebrities for being “coons,” and back in June, he got into it with Meek Mill after calling him out for not donating to the Feed Your Community challenge.

Barack Obama Says “Donald Trump Hasn’t Grown Into the Job Because He Can’t” As He Endorses Joe Biden for President

Former President Barack Obama addressed Democrats Wednesday night (Aug. 19) during the third night of the Democratic National Convention, and he did NOT hold back on his criticisms of sitting President Donald Trump while endorsing his own former Vice President, Joe Biden, as President of the United States.

While making the case for the Biden-Kamala Harris ticket, Obama claimed the current POTUS has shown zero interest in taking his role as the leader of the free world seriously, which has consequently hurt many American lives.

He called out the nation’s coronavirus death toll (over 173K and counting, as of now) as one of the biggest indicators of Trump’s failure to lead, and noted that Trump “hasn’t grown into the job” of running a country “because he can’t,” claiming that his presidency is just “one more reality show that he can use to get the attention he craves.”

“I have sat in the Oval Office with both of the men who are running for president,” Obama noted. “I never expected that my successor would embrace my vision or continue my policies. I did hope, for the sake of our country, that Donald Trump might show some interest in taking the job seriously; that he might come to feel the weight of the office and discover some reverence for the democracy that had been placed in his care. But he never did.

“For close to four years now, he’s shown no interest in putting in the work; no interest in finding common ground; no interest in using the awesome power of his office to help anyone but himself and his friends; no interest in treating the presidency as anything but one more reality show that he can use to get the attention he craves.”

Obama continued: “Donald Trump hasn’t grown into the job because he can’t. And the consequences of that failure are severe. 170,000 Americans dead. Millions of jobs gone while those at the top take in more than ever. Our worst impulses unleashed, our proud reputation around the world badly diminished, and our democratic institutions threatened like never before.

The 44th U.S. President also acknowledged that the nation was in the middle of polarizing times, as the majority of voters have already decided which candidate they will vote for in November.

But for those who are still undecided, Obama urged them to consider his former vice president, Biden, stating he has both the character and experience to improve life for American citizens.

“Twelve years ago, when I began my search for a vice president, I didn’t know I’d end up finding a brother,” he said. “Joe and I came from different places and different generations. But what I quickly came to admire about him is his resilience, born of too much struggle; his empathy, born of too much grief. Joe’s a man who learned early on to treat every person he meets with respect and dignity, living by the words his parents taught him. ‘No one’s better than you, but you’re better than nobody.’

“… Tonight, I am asking you to believe in Joe and Kamala’s ability to lead this country out of dark times and build it back better. But here’s the thing: No single American can fix this country alone. Democracy was never meant to be transactional—you give me your vote; I make everything better. So I am also asking you to believe in your own ability—to embrace your own responsibility as citizens—to make sure that the basic tenets of our democracy endure. Because that’s what at stake right now. Our democracy.”

He added: “Do not let them take away your power. Don’t let them take away your democracy.”

Former Trump Advisor Steve Bannon Arrested & Charged with Fraud for Stealing Money From Border Wall Fundraiser

Yet another one of President Donald Trump’s colleagues has been arrested.

Steve Bannon, who previously served as Trump’s White House Chief Strategist and campaign advisor, was taken into custody and charged with defrauding donors as part of a fundraising scheme to support Trump’s border wall.

According to a spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office, Bannon and three others were arrested Thursday morning (Aug. 20).

The four men are being indicted for allegedly taking hundreds of thousands of dollars donated to a group called “We Build the Wall” and using the funds for personal expenses, among other things.

Prosecutors claim Bannon used a faux non-profit organization called Non-Profit-1 to receive more than $1 million from We Build the Wall to “secretly” pay another defendant, Brian Kolfage, and cover hundreds of thousands of dollars in Bannon’s own personal expenses.

The We Build the Wall campaign ultimately raised more than $25 million, despite “repeatedly and falsely” claiming to the public that Kolfage didn’t take a salary. Bannon, notably, also publicly referred to the effort as a “volunteer organization.”

Bannon, Kolfage, Andrew Badolato and Timothy Shea have all been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.

“The defendants defrauded hundreds of thousands of donors, capitalizing on their interest in funding a border wall to raise millions of dollars, under the false pretense that all of that money would be spent on construction,” Acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss, said in a statement.

“While repeatedly assuring donors that Brian Kolfage, the founder and public face of We Build the Wall, would not be paid a cent, the defendants secretly schemed to pass hundreds of thousands of dollars to Kolfage, which he used to fund his lavish lifestyle. We thank the USPIS for their partnership in investigating this case, and we remain dedicated to rooting out and prosecuting fraud wherever we find it.”

The White House and a spokesman for Bannon declined to comment on the indictment Thursday morning.

Bannon joins a growing list of Trump associates who have faced criminal charges since Trump took office, including Rick Gates, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Michael Cohen, Michael Flynn, Richard Pinedo, Alex van der Zwan, and George Papadopoulos.

The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver just proposed to Instagram model Kayla Phillips, his longtime girlfriend and the mother of his sons, and she said yes!

Video surfaced Wednesday (Aug. 19) showing Jackson, 33, on bended knee in front of Phillips, 29, at an indoor golf spot.

“You guys are the first to know, I haven’t posted on social media or anything, but yeah, I’m getting married,” Phillips said in the clip as she showed off her engagement ring.

Jackson and Phillips met through social media back in 2014, and announced they were expecting their first child together, son DeSean Jackson Jr., in late 2015. Their second son, Jacey, was born three years later.

Kayla also has a third son, 5-year-old Tru, from her previous relationship with her high school boyfriend

Phillips boasts over 829K followers on IG, where she promotes her online business, Shop Kay Lovely.

Jackson, who is currently entering his 13th season in the NFL, was recently in the middle of a controversy when he posted anti-Semitic quotes attributed to Hitler back in June. He was fined for the incident and later apologized. He also accepted an invite from a 94-year-old Holocaust survivor to visit Auschwitz.

“I grew up in Los Angeles, and never really spent time with anyone from the Jewish community and didn’t know much about their history,” Jackson said during a Zoom call with Edward Mosberg, according to the Jerusalem Post. “This has been such a powerful experience for me to learn and educate myself.”

Megan Thee Stallion is sharing photos of her foot injuries after Tory Lanez (allegedly) shot her.

The rapper took to Instagram Wednesday (Aug. 19) to silence haters who questioned whether or not she was really shot in both her feet after she was spotted partying it Atlanta the other night.

Meg attended Allure Monday Nights at Allure Gentlemen’s Club in ATL Monday night (Aug. 17) and was photographed wearing a bandage on her foot.

She was out celebrating the success of “WAP,” her new single with Cardi B, which is currently the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 and the first single by two female rap artists to debut at the top of the charts.

“New photo surfaced of Megan Thee Stallion feet from the other night while she was in the club partying!” one social media blogger tweeted, alleging: “There is no bullet wounds! This clearly means Meg must have got cut by glass OR bullet FRAGMENTS on the BOTTOM of her feet.”

“Lol what I have learned [about] majority of the people on social media is y’all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads quicker than the truth, and y’all really be believing the sh** YALL make up,” Megan wrote on Instagram in response to the naysayers Wednesday (Aug. 19), alongside images of her getting stitches removed. “I got hit at the back of my feet because when I got shot I was WALKING AWAY FACING THE BACK.”

She continued: “Why would I lie [about] getting shot? Why are y’all so upset that I don’t wanna be in the bed sad? Why y’all upset that I can walk? I got my stitches out my feet like 2 weeks ago and I was ready to go celebrate WAP going number1… I usually don’t address internet bullsh** but y’all people are so sick!

Last month, sources revealed that Tory Lanez allegedly shot Megan while she was “trying to leave” his car following an argument. She and Tory had been seen hanging out with Kylie Jenner on Instagram Live prior to the shooting.

“There is video and the police are investigating,” an insider told PageSix. “This is a case of a man physically harming and abusing a woman.”

Tory has since been charged with possession of a firearm, but nothing more.

Megan later tweeted that the incident left her “traumatized” and she also slammed people making jokes and memes about the situation.

During a recent interview, Turk revealed that he and Wayne contracted the STD years ago from two sisters from Houston they were sleeping with.

According to Turk, Wayne ended up giving crabs to Toya and he gave it to his own baby mama as well.

Sweetie Pie’s Owner James “Tim” Norman Charged With Conspiracy in Murder-for-Hire Plot in Nephew’s Killing

James “Tim” Norman, owner of Sweetie Pie’s restaurant made famous by the OWN reality show Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s, has been arrested and charged for an alleged murder-for-hire plot in the 2016 shooting death of his own nephew.

Federal authorities allege that Norman—who is the son of Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s star Miss Robbie—obtained a $450,000 life insurance policy on his 18-year-old nephew, Andre Montgomery, back in 2014 and listed himself as the sole beneficiary.

The feds say that Tim then conspired with a woman named Terica Ellis to allegedly commit a murder-for-hire plot in exchange for money.

According to the feds, Norman and Ellis, who is an exotic dancer, used burner phones to communicate with each other in the days leading up to Montgomery’s murder in St. Louis.

According to the criminal complaint, days before the murder, Ellis told Montgomery that she was coming to St. Louis, and on March 13th, 2016—the day before Montgomery’s murder—Norman flew to St. Louis from his home in Los Angeles.

On March 14th, Ellis and Norman communicated with each other using burner phones that were activated that same day, and Ellis also used the temporary phone to communicate with Norman and find out his location.

Immediately after finding out Montgomery’s location, Ellis called Norman, and around 8 p.m. that same day, Montgomery was shot and killed. Location information from Ellis’ phone placed her in the area of the murder at the time of the shooting, federal officials said.

Ellis called Norman immediately after Montgomery’s murder and then traveled to Memphis, Tennessee. Ellis then deposited over $9,000 into various bank accounts.

On March 21st, 2016—just seven days after Montgomery’s murder—Norman contacted the life insurance company in an attempt to collect on the policy he’d obtained on his nephew.

Norman and Ellis were both charged with conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities (i.e. a cellphone) in the commission of a murder-for-hire, resulting in death.

LisaRaye McCoy Says She Finds Will Smith Attractive: “We Can Have an Entanglement”

The actress recently sat down with Garcelle Beauvais on Beauvais’ “Going to Bed With Garcelle” podcast, and when asked who she would want as a romantic partner, she said she finds Will Smith attractive.

After Garcelle reminded LisaRaye that Will Smith is married, she replied: “We can have an entanglement”

LisaRaye continued: “I’m saying a Will Smith type, you know. He’s so charming. He’s rich, a poetic [sic], he’s a philanthropist. He’s a humanitarian, a great dad.”

McCoy’s comments come after Jada Pinkett-Smith admitted to being in an “entanglement” with August Alsina while she and Will Smith were separated and experiencing challenges in their marriage.

Pinkett-Smith also addressed Alsina’s claims that Will gave him his blessing to have a romantic relationship with his wife.

“I got into a different kind of entanglement with August,” she said. “One thing I want to clean up … about you giving ‘permission’ which is … the only person that can give permission in that circumstance is myself.”

She continued: “But what August was probably trying to communicate, because I could see how he could see it as permission because we were separated amicably, and I think he wanted to make it clear he’s not a home-wrecker because he’s not.”

Will then pressed her to clarify what she meant by “entanglement,” to which she responded: “Yes, it was a relationship absolutely.”

LisaRaye spoke on Jada’s controversial relationship with August during an interview with Claudia Jordan on Jordan’s Cocktails with Queens show last month.

“I think and I feel that he was a baby,” she said, referring to August.

“Now I’m all for if you want to date somebody younger, go for it. But because of his circumstance and why in which he came to her, wounded and hurt, and in her lap—how in the hell did he get from off her lap, and then you got onto the d**k? I don’t understand.”

Breonna Taylor Billboard in Louisville Vandalized With Red Paint Splattered Across Her Forehead

A billboard demanding that the officers who killed Breonna Taylor at her home in Louisville, Kentucky was vandalized with red paint on Tuesday (Aug. 18).

The billboard is among 26 purchased by Oprah Winfrey on behalf of her O magazine earlier this month, and it features Breonna’s face along with the statement: “Demand that the police involved in killing Breonna Taylor be arrested and charged.”

A quote from Winfrey accompanies the message: “If you turn a blind eye to racism, you become an accomplice to it.”

The red paint on the vandalized billboard—which is near the area of Lexington Rd. and Spring St. according to WLKY-TV—was strategically smeared in the middle of Taylor’s forehead, making it appear as if it were a gunshot wound.

It wasn’t immediately clear who vandalized the billboard or whether Louisville police were investigating the crime.

WLKY-TV reported that the paint was gone by around 5 p.m. though it wasn’t clear whether the billboard had been cleaned or replaced.

The billboards, which direct people to the social justice organization Until Freedom, went up all over Louisville the same week O magazine released an issue featuring Breonna on the cover, which marked the first time Oprah didn’t cover the magazine in 20 years.

Community activist Tamika Mallory, who has helped organize and participated in several protests demanding justice for Taylor, shared the vandalized billboard on Instagram asking the public to “stand with us in Louisville if you can.”

She added: “We must confront the mindset in this picture. It’s flowing from the top to the bottom. We are stronger together!”

On March 13th, police entered Breonna Taylor’s home with a no-knock warrant and fatally shot the EMT worker while looking for illegal drugs, which were never found.

It’s been over five months since the fatal shooting, and only one of the free officers involved in Taylor’s death has been fired, and none of them have been charged.

Taylor’s family filed a lawsuit against the Louisville Metro Police Department back in May accusing them of wrongful death, excessive force and gross negligence.

In June, Mayor Greg Fischer signed “Breonna’s Law,” which bans the use of no-knock warrants and requires officers to wear body cameras when executing search warrants.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama referenced Taylor’s death during her speech Monday night (Aug. 17) during the first night of the Democratic National Convention.

“Here at home, as George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and a never-ending list of innocent people of color continue to be murdered. Stating the simple fact that a Black life matters is still met with derision from the nation’s highest office,” Mrs. Obama said. “Sadly, this is the America that’s on display for the next generation.”

Taylor’s shooting death by LMPD officers is still under investigation by the attorney general’s office.

No timeline on a conclusion for the investigation has been provided, although AG Daniel Cameron recently said he’s still waiting to receive evidence from the FBI.

Fight Breaks Out at Embassy Suites in Atlanta, Hotel Employee Beats Guest With Phone & Rips Her Wig Off (VIDEO)

A vicious brawl broke out at an Atlanta hotel between an employee and a guest … and it all was captured on video.

Footage filmed by a witness shows a masked front desk receptionist attacking an unmasked guest at the Embassy Suites Atlanta Galleria.

What led up to the fight is unclear, but one of the videos shared online shows the guest in the hotel lobby yelling at the employee, threatening to “f**k [her] up,” and telling her to call the manager, as the employee speaks on the phone.

Another video shows the employee, clearly fed up with the guest, shouting obscenities and using that same phone to repeatedly hit the guest in the head before yanking her wig off as horrified onlookers (hotel staff members and guests alike) watch.

The fight then spills out into the rest of the lobby as the guest is seen swinging the phone by its cord at the hotel employee and chasing her across the floor.

As the two women scrap against a door, two men can be seen trying to break up the fight, but to no avail, while the hotel employee tries to kick the guest to get away from her.

The employee then quickly tries to run to the office behind the counter, with the phone cord tangled around her leg and trailing behind her, but she’s unable to shut the door in time as the guest runs after her and continues the fight, at which point the video ends.

It isn’t known whether anyone was injured or if any charges were filed.

Barack Obama Reportedly Has Concerns About Joe Biden’s Presidential Run, Thinks He Could “F**k Things Up”

Despite Barack Obama recently giving his endorsement for Joe Biden as President of the United States, behind the scenes, it’s being said that he doesn’t feel 100% confident in his former VP’s ability to run a successful election campaign.

According to a new Politico report, the former POTUS has privately voiced concern about Biden not having an intimate connection with voters.

“And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden,” Obama told another Democratic candidate during primaries, according to Politico, specifically suggesting Biden wasn’t in good standing with the Iowa electorate.

The report also says Obama told another unnamed Democrat during the 2020 primary campaign: “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.”

Politico noted that there have been lingering tensions between Biden and Obama’s camps over the former president’s level of support for Biden’s campaign that date back to 2016 when Obama backed his former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.

In this year’s race, Obama didn’t even endorse Biden until Biden had already essentially locked up the party’s nomination following the momentum that began with his decisive win in South Carolina.

Biden “did feel that he needed to go out and earn it himself, as opposed to having people see it as an extension of a third Obama term or having it be any kind of referendum directly on Obama,” said Biden adviser Anita Dunn in comments reported by the Daily Mail.

Until his recent endorsement, Obama’s support this year for Biden’s presidential run was very limited.

As the Daily Mail noted, earlier this year he said: “I believe Joe has all of the qualities we need in a president right now. He’s someone whose own life has taught him how to persevere … and I know he will surround himself with good people.”

In contrast, when Obama endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016, he said: “I don’t think there’s ever been someone so qualified to hold this office.”

Obama’s alleged concerns about Biden potentially “f**king things up” may be warranted, as Biden has made more than a few head-scratching comments over the past few months.

Earlier this month, Biden came under fire after saying the Black community is not as “diverse” as the Hispanic community.

Back in May, Biden told Charlamagne Tha God during a Breakfast Club interview: “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

And we can’t forget about when he told a crowd in Iowa back in August 2019 that “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”

Despite his gaffes and missteps, Biden would make a much better president than Donald Trump though.

And the former FLOTUS, Michelle Obama, agrees. She delivered a scathing rebuke of our current POTUS Wednesday night (Aug. 17) during the first night of the Democratic National Convention.

Two Men Indicted on Murder Charges for 2002 Killing of Run DMC’s Jam Master Jay

It’s been nearly 18 years since the murder of Run DMC’s Jam Master Jay, and now federal prosecutors believe they have the men responsible for the killing.

Jay (born: Jason Mizell) was shot to death on the evening of October 30th, 2002 in a recording studio that he owned in Queens, New York. He was 37 years old.

And now, almost 18 years later, federal prosecutors are indicting two men for the crime.

Citing two law enforcement officials, the New York Times reports that 56-year-old Ronald Washington and 36-year-old Karl Jordan Jr. were indicted on charges of murder while engaged in drug trafficking.

Washington—who has been a suspect in JMJ’s murder for years, but was never charged due to lack of evidence and witnesses—is already serving a 17-year federal prison sentence for robbery, while Jordan was arrested on Sunday (Aug. 16).

The charges against the two men will be formally announced by federal prosecutors sometime on Monday.

Kim Kardashian has joined the fight to help free Master P’s brother, rapper C-Murder, from prison.

Kim Kardashian, in recent years, has become known for her work with inmates and helping to free convicts who were wrongly imprisoned.

Now, she’s taken to Twitter to reveal that she has put a team together to take on the task of freeing No Limit Records star C-Murder, who many believe was wrongly imprisoned for a murder he didn’t commit.

Sunday afternoon (Aug. 16) on Twitter, Kardashian-West laid out the details of Corey “C-Murder” Miller’s case and noted that Miller was arrested for the murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas, who was shot and killed in a nightclub C-Murder had performed at.

She noted that Miller was sentenced to life in prison after a jury convicted him 10-2, which wouldn’t have happened today, as “the jury would have had to be unanimous for him to be convicted.”

Kim also pointed out that since Miller’s trial, several witnesses have recanted their stories and “new evidence of his potential innocence has come to light, and there are claims of jurors being pressured into voting to convict.”

She added: “True justice for the young man requires that the person who actually killed him be held responsible and that Corey Miller he returned home to his kids. Today I’m teaming up with Monica, Jessica Jackson and Edy Haney to #FreeCoreyMiller.”

She concluded her message by acknowledging Steve Thomas’ family, saying: “I can only imagine how hard this is and my intention is never to open up this painful wound but to help find the truth behind this tragedy.”

C-Murder’s case has received newfound interest after parts of it were featured on the new BET limited series No Limit Chronicles, which outlines the rise of fame of the Miller family and how they created No Limit Records.

Monica, who was romantically involved with C-Murder int he past, posted a lengthy statement Sunday (Aug. 16) about vowing to help get him released from prison.

“@cmurder & I are bonded by truth, honesty & Loyalty! There’s never been a promise broken & I vowed to seek help! After a tearful conversation with @lala she and I spoke to @kimkardashian & I explained why I KNEW Corey was innocent,” she wrote.

She continued: “I shared that There are lots of issues in Corey’s case that speak to his innocence including witnesses recanting their testimony, dna not matching & a 10-2 jury! Corey deserves to come home to his girls and be the father they need, be the artist & leader he’s always been as well as spread hope to those who have also experienced this.. Congratulations are in order for Keyshia Ka’oir and Gucci Mane, who are expecting their first child together!

Ka’oir announced the news on Instagram with a photo showing off her growing baby bump.

She captioned the image: “I ain’t athletic but on @laflare1017 D I did gymnastics” followed by a pregnant woman and baby emojis.

And just minutes later, Gucci followed up with his own post on the ‘Gram, writing: “My wife pregnant my life is great.”

Gucci and Keyshia first met back in 2010 when Guwop was in jail, and they got engaged in November 2016 when the rapper popped the question at an Atlanta Hawks basketball game with a 25-karat ring reportedly worth over $2 million.

They tied the knot in October 2017 (10.17, get it?) in an extravagant all-white wedding that aired on BET in a TV special called the “Mane Event.”

This will be the couple’s first child together, though they both have children from previous relationships.

Gucci Mane (real name: Radric Davis) is the father of an 11 or 12-year-old son, while Keyshia has four children of her own, aged between 15 and 21. With the new addition, that makes six kids total for the Davis family.

Seahawks Cut Rookie CB Kemah Siverand After He Was Caught on Video Trying to Sneak Woman Dressed As Player Into Team Hotel

The Seattle Seahawks cut rookie cornerback Kemah Siverand earlier this week “after he was caught on video trying to sneak a female visitor into the team hotel,” according to NFL Networker reporter Tom Pelissero.

Pelissero added that Siverand’s ruse was pretty elaborate, saying that the woman was dressed in Seahawks gear “in an attempt to disguise her as a player … It did not work.”

While the NFL hasn’t implemented a “bubble”-like environment like the NBA or NHL amid the COVID-19 pandemic, teams and players are under strict orders to act responsibly to lower the risk of an outbreak of the virus.

As NFL.com writer Nick Shook put it: “Siverand’s attempt to welcome a visitor into the team hotel was a violation of team rules, especially during a camp that is operating amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With outside contact expected to be at a minimum if at all, jeopardizing the rest of Seattle’s team by inviting an outside visitor into the team’s hotel was a violation the Seahawks could not overlook.”

Shook added: “Even in a regular, non-pandemic camp setting, players are usually forbidden from welcoming visitors to team hotels or dorms.”

While it hasn’t been revealed what Siverand’s motive for sneaking a woman into training camp, we can only imagine it was for one thing … SEX. Yep, the man wanted some “WAP,” and risked his entire NFL career to get it.

The 23-year-old was an undrafted free agent from Oklahoma State who signed with the Seahawks on May 4th and could have possibly made an impact as a special teams player. But, nope … that wet and gushy was more important to him.

Boosie Begs Mark “Zuckinburger” to Restore His Instagram Account After It Was Deleted: “This Is How I Feed My Family!”

Boosie Badazz isn’t too happy about his Instagram account being deactivated, and he’s taken to social media to beg Mark Zuckerberg (or “Mark Zuckinburger,” as he calls him) to restore it.

A video surfaced Wednesday night (Aug. 12) of Boosie saying his IG page had been taken down, and he had no idea why.

“They just took my Instagram,” Boosie said in a way that made it sound like his whole world has been turned upside down.

“Mark Zuckinburger … I need to talk to you,” he continued. “Bosses need to talk to bosses. I don’t know what I did but I need my Instagram back. I don’t even know what I did! But this is how I feed my family. Mark, do not do this to 2020. Do not take Boosie off Instagram! We need to talk, Mark.”

“You need to take me to orientation or something, but you can’t put me out of school,” Boosie continued. “This is how I feed my family. We ain’t making no show money, Mark Zuckinburger, none of the rappers. I need my Instagram back, mayne.”

Like many entertainers, the COVID-19 pandemic has put an abrupt halt to Boosie’s biggest revenue stream … which is getting paid to make perform shows and make public appearances.

So Boosie has gotten creative in recent months, using his large social media platform to strike deals to promote businesses, which is impossible now that his IG account has been deactivated.

In a desperate plea to get his account restored, Boosie posted another video on Twitter Thursday morning of him calling on Mark “Zuckinburger” to make things right.

“Mark Zuckinburger. It’s Boosie, mayne, put my Instagram back on,” the 37-year-old rapper can be heard saying.

“I don’t know what I did, mayne. Don’t do this to 2020. I’m on my OnlyFans Live right now. Mark Zuckinburger, hit me up mayne! You cannot do this to Instagram in 2020. Whatever I did, my bad! I don’t even know what I did! Mark Zuckinburger, hit me right now. I’m on OnlyFans Live … took my Instagram.”

When the pandemic first started and everyone was on quarantine, Boosie went viral almost every day for his antics on IG Live.

In fact, back in March, Boosie himself said that Instagram slid in his DMs with a cease-and-desist telling him to stop paying women to get naked and perform sexual acts on Live, which goes against their TOS.

It isn’t clear what caused Boosie’s account to get deactivated recently, though it isn’t completely surprising.

Teen Chili’s Hostess Attacked by Large Group of Women Over COVID-19 Social Distancing Guidelines

A teenage hostess at a Chili’s in Baton Rouge, Louisiana says she was attacked by a large group of women after she told them they wouldn’t be able to sit together, per the restaurant’s new COVID-19 social distancing policies … and a portion of the attack was captured on video.

17-year-old Kelsy Wallace said on Sunday (Aug. 9), a group of at least 11 women came into the restaurant on Constitution Avenue requesting to sit together at one table.

“My general manager and my other managers tell us we cannot sit a table bigger than six because of the corona. We are supposed to separate them,” Wallace told WAFB. “And they got upset, so the first thing I did was go get my manager,”

Wallace said after she called on her manager, the group of women grew even more irate, and they started exchanging words with the teen. The verbal spat then quickly turned physical.

“But then one girl come and she just hit me; we just started fighting. And all everybody who they was with just started hitting me, and the lady who pushed me first, she takes the wet floor sign, cocks back, and hits me with it in my eye,” Wallace said.

The police were called to do a report, but by the time they arrived, all of the women had apparently left the restaurant.

Wallace went to the hospital and had to get stitches above her eye. Some of her hair had been ripped from her scalp as a result of the altercation, and she also had a few broken nails.

Wallace’s grandmother said she was in disbelief over what happened to her granddaughter.

“I couldn’t believe they would do or act like that, and then I mean, grown women, to fight a 17-year-old child at her job, who’s trying to work to get her graduation things together so she can go off to college,” Lorrain Byrd said.

Wallace, also in pure disbelief over the incident, says she was simply doing her job before she was attacked.

“I couldn’t believe, like over two for 25s, and three for 10s, I got attacked,” she said.

“I was just trying to follow the rules and make sure that I wasn’t going to get in trouble. Like this is just overwhelming. I just cannot believe that this happened to me of all people.”

Wallace is a straight-A student at Broadmoor Senior High School at EBR Career and Technical Education Center, and she’s also studying to be an EMT.

She said she’d been working at Chili’s as a hostess since June to try and make a little extra cash. She’ll be heading back to school soon, but says she will not be returning to her job at Chili’s.

A representative from the restaurant chain provided the following statement regarding the incident:

“We care deeply for every ChiliHead and are disappointed by the incident that took place at our Baton Rouge Chili’s on August 9.

“We do not tolerate violent behavior in our restaurants, and are taking this incident very seriously as the safety and health of our Team Members and Guests is our top priority.

“Following this unprovoked attack, we immediately provided medical attention to our Team Member and called the local police department who is looking into this situation.

“We have made several attempts to contact the impacted Team Member and her family since the incident to provide support, but unfortunately have not received any response.”

Kelsy’s family started a GoFundMe since she’s afraid to return to work. As of writing, the page has raised just under $13,000.

5-Year-Old North Carolina Boy Shot in the Head & Killed by Neighbor While Riding Bike in Front Yard With Sisters

A 5-year-old North Carolina boy was shot and killed by his neighbor while riding his bicycle outside his home over the weekend.

Cannon Hinnant was playing outside his dad’s house in Wilson, N.C. around 5:30 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 9) with his two sisters, aged 7 and 8, when he was shot point blank in the head by 25-year-old DarWRius Sessoms.

The little boy was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, he couldn’t be saved and was pronounced dead.

Sessoms, who lives next door to Cannon’s father on Archers Road, was later arrested in Goldsboro. He was charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond in the Wilson County jail.

Police said the shooting wasn’t random, however, details about a possible motive haven’t been released.

Doris Lybrand, who witnessed the shooting, told WRAL.com that Sessoms ran up to Cannon, put the gun near his hand, and pulled the trigger before running back to his own house.

“My first reaction was he’s playing with the kids,” Lybrand said. “For a second, I thought, ‘That couldn’t happen.’ People don’t run across the street and kill kids.”

Lybrand said she realized the gun was real after she saw how Cannon’s father reacted to the shooting. At that point, she dashed into her house, locked the door and dialed 911.

“You don’t expect to see somebody shoot someone,” she said.

Another neighbor said Sessoms and Cannon’s father had dinner together Saturday night, and Sessoms was also at the home the day of the shooting, WRAL.com reported.

A family member created a GoFundMe page for the family and wrote that Cannon was shot “because he rode into his neighbors yard.”

“[A] sweet soul named Cannon Hinnant was taken from this world over a senseless act,” Christina Prezioso, who claimed to be a cousin of Cannon’s father, wrote on the GoFundMe page. “A beautiful 5 year old baby boy riding his bicycle was shot by his neighbor point blank in Wilson NC.”

“One minute he is enjoying his life, the next it all ends because he rode into his neighbors yard,” the page reads. “5 years old guys!! Nothing prepares a parent for the loss of their child. No child should ever have their future stolen from them.”

According to CBS17.com, Sessoms has a lengthy criminal record, including multiple felony drug charges from over the years, multiple felony probation violations, and charges for possessing stolen firearms.

Nick Cannon Reportedly Suing ViacomCBS for $1.5 Billion, the Estimated Value of “Wild ‘N Out”

Nick Cannon reportedly wants to take ViacomCBS to court!

Cannon was fired from the network last month after being accused of making anti-Semitic comments during an episode of his “Cannon’s Class” podcast.

Immediately after the firing, Nick issued an apology statement to his fans and shared a lengthy post on Facebook criticizing ViacomCBS for abusing their power and demanding full ownership of Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out and an apology from the network.

“I am deeply saddened in a moment so close to reconciliation that the powers that be, misused an important moment for us to all grow closer together and learn more about one another,” Cannon said at the time. “Instead the moment was stolen and highjacked to make an example of an outspoken black man.

“I will not be bullied, silenced, or continuously oppressed by any organization, group, or corporation. I am disappointed that Viacom does not understand or respect the power of the black community.”

He went on to say that Viacom was “now on the wrong side of history” and said that he doesn’t “blame any individual” for how he was treated in regards to his abrupt firing, he blames the “oppressive and racist infrastructure.”

Nick added: “Systemic racism is what this world was built on and was the subject in which I was attempting to highlight in the recent clips that have been circulating from my podcast. If I have furthered the hate speech, I wholeheartedly apologize.”

He concluded the post saying: “I demand full ownership of my billion dollar ‘Wild ‘N Out’ brand that I created, and they will continue to misuse and destroy without my leadership! I demand that the hate and back door bullying cease and while we are at it, now that the truth is out, I demand the Apology!”

Well, it’s almost been a month since this all happened, and Nick has yet to receive his apology or the rights to Wild ‘N Out, so now he’s taking matters into his own hands … if recent reports are to believed.

According to The Shade Room, Cannon plans on suing ViacomCBS for a whopping $1.5 billion, which is the estimated value of Wild ‘N Out.

“It is just that simple, ‘Wild ‘N Out’ belongs to Nick!,” the multi-hyphenate celebrity’s team said in a statement.

“The show was created by Nick Cannon with his idea and original thought. Wild ‘N Out has brought billions of dollars in revenue to Viacom since 2015. And Nick deserves and has earned everything it is worth.”

The statement continued: “From the platforms he provides for other entertainers, the jobs he creates for black youth, the time he gives to mentoring incarcerated men and women, to the money he gives back and puts into communities, homelessness, and people less fortunate.

“He is constantly evolving both spiritually and mentally, as well as, taking action in learning, education and bridging the gap within the Jewish and African American communities, so that it will allow us to build relationships, work together and learn from each other in order to move forward in equality.”

Nick’s team said the 39-year-old plans on using the money from the suit to invest in better education in underserved communities, as well as creating programs for mental health, youth organizations, and developing inner-city communities.

“If Viacom believes in growth, equality, education, then Viacom will do what is right and pay Nick what they owe, and giving him his $1.5 brand,” the statement from Cannon’s team concluded.
