Shirley Caesar Defends Kim Burrell’s Homophobic Sermon: “You Should Have Said Something Four Years Ago!”

I hope Shirley Caesar enjoyed her moment during the #UNameItChallenge, because social media will call you out just as quickly as it hyped you up.

The pastor and gospel singer is currently in the same boat with Kim Burrell after seemingly defending Burrell’s controversial homophobic sermon.

Video of Caesar co-signing Burrell’s comments went viral on Wednesday (Jan. 4). While preaching/performing at First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Maryland, she suggested Burrell should have spoken out much sooner, when President Barack Obama “made that stuff alright.”

“So, if you were going to say something, you should’ve said something 4 years ago when our President made that stuff alright!”

Burrell faced heavy backlash last week after condemning the “homosexual spirit” as “perverted” and suggested gay people would die in 2017 in a sermon that went viral. Though Caesar didn’t mention Burrell by name, it’s not hard to connect the dots here.

It should also be noted that that Obama did not make “that stuff alright” four years ago. The Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage in 2015.

A longer video of Caesar’s sermon adds more context to her comments. She suggested preachers collect their congregations’ phones at the door, if they want to keep certain sermons “in house.”

No, Ms. Caesar, spewing hate speech in private doesn’t make it any less hate speech. That’s not how this works.

Burrell’s comments did not go without consequence. She was axed from a scheduled performance with Pharrell Williams on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and her KTSU radio show in Houston was canceled.

Caesar may want to tread carefully, or her coins may be affected as well. Though a legend in her own right, Caesar became a social media craze in November due to the popular #UNameItChallenge.

Chris Brown and Soulja Boy Gear Up for Celebrity Boxing Match in March?

Well, Instagram Beef is an unusual way to land a booking, but hey, with Soulja Boy getting the boot from Love & Hip Hop Hollywood recently, I guess you’ve got to get your bookings from wherever you can.

As Chris Brown and Soulja Boy went back and forth on Instagram in several video clips the other day, Chris at one point decided it would be best to stop threatening to sick L.A. Blood thugs on Soulja and instead challenge Soulja Boy to celebrity boxing match for charity.

I thought that the challenge for a boxing match was just more hot air from Chris Breezy, but apparently it’s legit as Adrien Broner is indeed booking and promoting a fight between Chris Brown and Soulja Boy for sometime in March.

Soulja Boy is already training for the big fight and given his meager skinny-fat frame, he’s gonna need all of January and February to bulk up cause Chris Brown looks like he’ll punish Soulja Boy just on body weight alone.

White Supremacist Manifesto Reveals Dylann Roof Has “Not Shed a Tear” and Has No Regret or Remorse for Killing 9 Black Churchgoers

The amount of hatred harbored within racist Dylann Roof was revealed when he shot and killed 9 black churchgoers attending Bible study in 2015. And even as he faces the death penalty, Roof still feels he is part of the “superior” race and feels no remorse and offers no apology for his evil actions.

Roof’s trial has moved into the sentencing phase and prosecutors read aloud a disturbing journal entry written by Roof while in jail.

I remember how I felt when I did these things and how I knew I had to do something and then I realize it was worth it. I would like to make it crystal clear. I do not regret what I did. I have not shed a tear for the innocent people I killed.

The journal was found six weeks after his arrest. The New York Times deemed it a “white supremacist manifesto.” Roof — who admitted he wanted to start a race war — writes that while he hasn’t shed a tear for the black people he massacred, he feels “sorry” for white people and himself.

I do feel sorry for the innocent white children forced to live in this sick country and I do feel sorry for the innocent white people that are killed daily at the hands of the lower race. I have shed a tear of self-pity for myself. I feel pity that I had to do what I did in the first place. I feel pity that I had to give up my life because of a situation that should never have existed.

Last month, Roof was found guilty of all 33 counts, including hate crimes and obstruction of religion resulting in death. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, which requires jurors to unanimously agree upon while considering factors such as premeditation, remorse, and the possibility of redemption.

Though representing himself, Roof’s court-appointed lawyers have represented to the guilt phase of the trial. Roof spoke to the jury directly for the first time on Wednesday (Jan. 4). He made it explicitly clear that he is not mentally ill, which his court-appointed lawyers had previously argued.

“The point is that I’m not going to lie to you, not by myself or through somebody else. Other than the fact that I trust people that I shouldn’t and the fact that I’m probably better at constantly embarrassing myself than anyone who’s ever existed, there’s nothing wrong with me psychologically. If you happen to remember anything that my lawyer said, I ask that you forget it.”

The sentencing phase is expected to continue through next week and will include testimony by friends and family members of the victims, and the one survivor of the massacre.

Janet Jackson Gives Birth at 50, Welcomes First Child With Husband Wissam Al Mana

Though its seems like we’ve waiting forever, Janet Jackson has finally given birth. The 50-year-old first-time mom gave birth to a healthy baby boy Tuesday (Jan. 3).

Jackson’s publicist made the announcement via a statement:

“Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world. Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”

Though the specific reason Jackson’s picked the name Eissa is currently unknown, Eissa does mean Jesus in Arabic.

This is Jackson and billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana’s first child together. The couple married in a surprise wedding in 2012.

Several members of Jackson’s famous family congratulated the Grammy winner.

Janet’s father, Joe Jackson, posted a statement on his website congratulating his daughter and expressing his excitement of being a grandfather again.

“Congratulations to my daughter Janet Jackson on the birth of my Grandson. Making me a grandfather again! Wishing you all the love and happiness a father could wish a daughter.”

Jackson’s sister La Toya and nephew TJ also posted congratulatory messages:

Massive Fight Breaks Out During Ricky Harris Funeral After Man Attempts to Attack Snoop Dogg

“It’s sad. They’re fighting at a funeral… It’s so disrespectful!”

Actress/comedian Sherri Shepherd was in utter dismay while attending comedian Ricky Harris’ funeral Tuesday (Jan. 3). An actual fight broke out during the service and she caught it live on Periscope. Snoop Dogg was at the center of the fight.

According to reports, a man rushed into the church and attempted to come for Snoop, who grew up with Harris in Long Beach and was a longtime friend. The man, who is reported to be Harris’ cousin, called Snoop a “b*tch ass ni**a.”

Two members of Snoop’s crew were able to tackle Harris’ cousin before actually getting to Snoop and was taken out of the church by Snoop’s bodyguard. However, the attempted attack still sparked a massive brawl.

Shepherd reported via Periscope:

“It’s so disrespectful. Oh my gosh, it is so disrespectful. We’re at Ricky Harris’ funeral, and we’re about to go see the body, and someone came in the funeral home and went towards Snoop, and Snoop’s bodyguard tackled him and it was just a big fight and it was so disrespectful to Ricky Harris.”

Following the funeral, Snoop reflected on the service on Instagram. He only briefly mentioned the fight, but mostly kept his comments on honoring his friend.

“Beautiful service today. Oh yeah – the devil is a mothaf**kin’ lie. Yeah, he is. We had a great time, great service. Rick, your spirit lives on by the LBC’s finest. Rick Harris, rest in paradise.”

Harris was a comedian best known for his role on Everybody Hates Chris. However, he often collaborated with Snoop and other hip hop artists, appearing on albums such as Snoop’s Doggystyle and Ice Cube’s AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted.

He died Dec. 26 from a heart attack. He was only 54 years old.

Soulja Boy Apologizes for “Acting Out” One Day After Social Media Feud With Chris Brown, Ends Beef With Brown & Other Rappers

Soulja Boy’s almost-fight on the streets of Compton got him shook. Just one day after instigating an epic social media beef with Chris Brown, the rapper is offering an apology.

Soulja has been making headlines for a few months for his random beefs and erratic behavior. However, after hearing his mother was hospitalized, the rapper took to Twitter and apologized to his fans for “acting out” and “wilding out.”

“I just want to send an apology. Over the past couple of months, I’ve been acting out, I’ve been wilding out, and at the end of the day it’s not about who starts the beefs, it’s about who ends them.”

He then seemingly ended his beefs with Chris, Lil Yachty, and Quavo.

“I want to make music with Chris Brown, Yachty, Quavo, everybody. So, to all the media, to all the blogs, to all my homies from the hood that feel like I been on some hot boy sh*t, I apologize. I’m back to the music.”

Soulja also added that his mother is expected to recover from her undisclosed illness. But the situation put things in perspective for the 26-year-old.

“She should be good but no amount of money, no amount of cars, no amount of fame will make me be alright when knowing my mom is sick or anything happening to mom. I love my mother, she always been there since I been born, I got her name tatted on my face. I know she’s not proud of my actions and what I’ve been doing recently.”

Soulja’s most recent beef began yesterday. According to the rapper, Chris Brown called and threatened him after Soulja liked one of Karrueche Tran’s Instagram photos. This sparked a back-and-forth war of words on social media between the two.

Chris continued to say he would “whoop [Soulja’s] ass,” while Soulja called his foe a woman beater and called out his alleged coke use.

Soulja ended the day by almost getting into a fight with an unidentified man while continuing to instigate the Chris situation during an Instagram Live broadcast. Though no actual fight occurred, the video went viral and Soulja was clowned on social media for getting jumped and robbed in his own neighborhood.

Let’s hope this is truly the end of Soulja’s antics, at least for a while. This was a rough way to kick off 2017.

Chris Brown might not have fought Soulja Boy (yet), but somebody put hands on the rapper.

Soulja was continuing his fresh beef with Chris during an Instagram Live video in his own neighborhood when a group of guys got his attention. “What’s going on, man? They say Soulja Boy ain’t from the hood,” Soulja shouted.

However, as he put his arm around one the guys, the man reacted “get off me, though.” It looks like Soulja drops his phone and the audio suggested the two started to fight. Someone then picks up the phone and ends the video.

Twitter immediately thought Soulja was jumped and robbed in his own neighborhood while talking trash about Chris Brown.

However, someone does yell, “Bro, stop all that weird ass sh*t… before I really knock you out.” It’s just unclear who said it and if it was directed towards Soulja.

As Chris previously suggested, maybe Soulja is all talk and can’t actually back it up. He went in so hard on Chris only to get clowned like this. It’s probably best for the Chicago-born rapper just to take this L and leave give it a rest.

Ellen DeGeneres Axes Kim Burrell Performance Following Gospel Singer’s Viral Homophobic Sermon

Following her homophobic rant during a sermon last week, Kim Burrell has been axed from an upcoming appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The gospel singer and pastor was slated to perform with Pharrell Williams on Thursday’s show (Jan 5.)

DeGeneres confirmed the news via Twitter.

Williams will now perform “I See a Victory” from the Hidden Figures soundtrack by himself.

Burrell faced heavy backlash last week after a sermon she gave went viral. She called gay and lesbian people “perverted” and suggested those with a “homosexual spirit” would die in 2017 because of their sins.

“You play with the homosexual spirt in God’s house and you’ll die from it in 2017. I came to tell you about sin. That sin nature. That perverted homosexual spirit, and the spirit of delusion and confusion, it has deceived many men and women, and it’s caused us pain on the body of Christ.”

Meanwhile, she was promoting her appearance on Ellen, an openly gay woman who has dedicated the later part of her career fighting for equality.

Even Frank Ocean’s mother was done with Burrell. The gospel singer has worked with Ocean, who opened up about his own sexuality in 2012.

Before DeGeneres confirmed Burrell will not appear on her show, Hidden Figures star Janelle Monae broke the news to TMZ.

I’m not stating anything that hasn’t already been said, but Orlando Brown is on some extra special drugs that no one else seems to have access to. The former That’s So Raven star’s sex tape leaked Sunday (Jan. 1), but he’s now denying its even him.

Brown has been making headlines for the past few months (all for the wrong reasons), so when his name began trending on Twitter Monday (Jan. 2), many were curious to find out what crazy, drug-induced, yet humorous statement he had made this time.

It’s 2017 and Chris Brown is still as controlling and possessive as ever. The singer is currently embroiled in an all-out beef with Soulja Boy and it’s all because of Karrueche Tran and an Instagram comment.

The beef started Monday (Jan. 2) after Soulja left several heart-eye emojis on one of Karrueche’s Instagram post. Though they broke up two years ago, Chris can’t help but give into his possessive ways and apparently called Soulja Boy and told him to leave his ex alone.

According to Soulja, Chris also threatened to beat him up if he didn’t back off. The rapper retaliated by exposing Chris’ threats on social media and instigating the matter.

Chris did not take the bait for a long time, but he eventually responded to Soulja with a few social media videos of his own. He doubled-down on his threat to “whoop [Soulja’s] ass!”

So, what does Karrueche have to say about all this? Karrueche stayed out of it for as long as possible, but she eventually shared her piece on Instagram, given that she was inadvertently the spark that lit the match.

“First off this drama between both of these two is so ridiculous it makes no sense. We just brought in a new year and what we doing?? Leave the extra’d out, rah rah s–t behind. This isn’t cool or funny..it’s draining…

Even she wasn’t safe from Chris’ rants. He responded in the comment section, insinuating she owes all her success and popularity to him because she’s riding his coattails.

After Karrueche’s response, Soulja feels he won the war of words between he and Chris and their beef should be over now.

White Mom Claims Son Accused of Racist Graffiti Isn’t Racist Because of His Black Girlfriend

A Virginia mom is defending her racist son… because he has a black girlfriend.

18-year-old Taylor Ferrell was arrested Friday (Dec. 30) after allegedly spray painting “white power” graffiti, swastikas, and other racist content at a local little league park.

According to Raw Story:

Vandals smashed a urinal and painted the misspelled message, “oopps,” above the broken pieces, and they spray-painted “white power” and graphic insults against the Black Lives Matter movement, immigrants and President-elect Donald Trump.

Ferrell was arrested and charged with three counts of intentionally damaging a property or monument. He admitted to the crime, but denies writing any of the racist content.

His mother, Sarah Maxey agrees. She tells CBS 6 (WTVR-TV):

“I can’t understand for the life of me why he would’ve gone there or done that… He did admit to breaking the sink and drawing pictures of genitalia. But, he did not write the racist words or none of that. His girlfriend is actually Black so he’s far from being racist.”

Is this a variation of the “I have black friends” defense? I hope Maxey realizes that even people in interracial relationships can still hold racist beliefs or commit racist-based crimes.


Ferrell says two other people were with him the night he vandalized the park and they are the ones who are responsible for the racist language and symbols. He says one of the guys bought the paint at Walmart and also bought the underage Ferrell alcohol.

Police are investigating the other suspects, while Ferrell in being held in jail without bond. The damage to little league park was estimated around $5,500-$6,000.

Dick Clark Productions Responds to Mariah Carey’s “Defamatory” & “Absurd” Accusation It Deliberately Sabotaged Her NYE Performance

Pointing fingers and placing blame is the name of the game following Mariah Carey’s New Year’s Eve lip sync fail performance.

Carey’s team has accused Dick Clark Productions of sabotage for the diva’s disastrous performance on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. However, DCP has released a statement rejecting the “defamatory,” “outrageous,” and “absurd” accusations.

“As the premier producer of live television events for nearly 50 years, we pride ourselves on our reputation and long-standing relationships with artists. To suggest that DCP, as producer of music shows including the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and Academy of Country Music Awards, would ever intentionally compromise the success of any artist is defamatory, outrageous and frankly absurd.”

Performing just 20 minutes before ringing in 2017, Carey was the headlining act for the program. She was set perform three songs, but audio issues exposed her lip syncing and Carey was never able to recover during the six-minute set.

DCP admits that there were technical issues with Carey’s in-ear monitors, but do not believe it was due to any wrongdoing on their end.

“In very rare instances there are of course technical errors that can occur with live television, however, an initial investigation has indicated that [Dick Clark Productions] had no involvement in the challenges associated with Ms. Carey’s New Year’s Eve performance. We want to be clear that we have the utmost respect for Ms. Carey as an artist and acknowledge her tremendous accomplishments in the industry.”

So, that’s DCP’s official statement, but sources close to the company outright told Billboard that all blame lies with Carey’s tech crew.

An insider revealed Carey had “ample time rehearse and chose not to” and opted to use a body double to stand in for her. “All was working” perfectly fine during this rehearsal the source added, suggesting any problem incurred during the live broadcast was Carey and her team’s fault.

The main issue seems to be that the audio feed was “set to the wrong frequency,” which caused Carey to be unable to hear the music through her in-ears.

I suspect the blame game will continue as Carey’s camp is steadfast DCP did her dirty. “Production set her up to fail,” a rep for Carey told Billboard.

“[W]hy would they want to run a performance with mechanical glitches unless they just want eyeballs at any expense,” Carey’s manager Stella Bulochnikov pondered after DCP allegedly denied her request to scrap Carey’s performance from the west coast feed.

DCP actually denies ever having such conversation with Bulochnikov.

Meet Kenya Moore the Gangsta! “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Star Pulls Gun on 3 Trespassers on Moore Manor Property

If you thought Kenya Moore was all talk, you definitely thought wrong. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star went pure gangsta over the weekend and pulled a gun on three Moore Manor trespassers.

On Friday (Dec. 30), two men and one woman showed up on Kenya’s doorstep unannounced. According to Kenya, “they climbed over a wall” to get onto her property without going through the security gates.

However, the three trespassers learned very quickly not to play with Kenya. She protected herself and her home by pulling a gun on them.

Kenya was so pissed over what happened, she vented in two Instagram videos.

“Look, there’s only one way to say this—Imma get real real wit’ y’all right now. I just had three motherf–kers come to my front door and knock on it. I didn’t know who they were. They climbed over my fence where I live and came and thought it was a good idea to say, ‘Hi, Kenya!’ Like, bitch, you are on my motherf–ckin’ property and you are trespassing, because you climbed over my fence to get over here. Even though it’s under construction, bitch, you can’t crawl over it to get to me.”

“This bitch over here is on high alert. We on level orange up in this bitch. If you come over here, you come to my door, you find out where I live, please do, because if you come over here, you gonna get a motherf–king cap in your ass. No, ‘Who are you?’ ‘What are you doing here?’ You are going to get a motherf–king cap in your ass. I will f–king shoot and I will ask questions later. Try me!”

Kenya posted screencaps from her home security cameras of the incident and is offering a $1,000 reward for any information on who the three individuals may be.

She wrote in part:

Though this certainly does not justify incident, I wonder if Kenya is having regrets about making her home, dubbed “Moore Manor,” a prominent storyline on the Bravo reality show? One of the downsides of exposing your personal life on reality TV is that viewers wrongly feel entitled to things that should be private and off-limits.

These trespassers probably thought they could be funny and pop up on somebody’s private property just because it was featured on TV. Not cool at all! Hopefully, Kenya also called the police and this situation gets handled pretty quickly.

If not, the next clowns might not be so lucky. “You gonna get a motherf–king cap in your ass!”

CNN Anchor Don Lemon Gets Lit Live on Air While Hosting New Year’s Eve Coverage in New Orleans

“People are saying that I’m lit. Yeah I’m lit. Who cares?”

These are the exact words from CNN anchor Don Lemon as he hosted the cable news channel’s New Year’s Eve coverage. Lemon spent about three hours on live television throwing back shots and getting drunk.

While Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin hosted the program from Times Square, Lemon and fellow CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin were stationed at a bar in New Orleans. Lemon got his own party started before 8 pm central time.

From that point on, basically every time Cooper and Griffin checked in with the New Orleans correspondents, Lemon was taking a shot, serving a shot, or getting a little too turnt to be at work.

He even got his ear pierced on live TV. He contemplated a nipple ring upon Griffin’s suggestion, but Baldwin shut that down.

However, my favorite Don “Lit-mon” moment of the night was when self-admitted self-centered Lemon opened up about possibly wanting a relationship in 2017. “Are we going there, right now?” a perplexed and probably fed up Baldwin asked.

Lemon’s night came to end as New Orleans rang in the new year and, in a moment of drunk honesty, the anchor said, “2016 was awful.” Then boom, his mic went dead!

Many assumed CNN cut Lemon’s mic on purpose. However, apparently, Mariah Carey wasn’t the only person having audio issues. The CNN hosts had technical difficulties the entire night and producers felt this was a good time to cut off all audio and just have celebratory sounds from the bar and New Orleans.

Though social media enjoyed “drunk” Lemon on air, CNN sources say the anchor was, in fact, not drunk while working. They say Lemon only drank the few shots shown on air and did not consume any alcohol during breaks.

However, former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien says CNN could have kept that explanation. She was not here for Lemon’s antics.

Odell Beckham Jr. Parties With Justin Bieber & Trey Songz in Miami Until the Early Morning, Gets Real Close With Bieber

Forget about New Year’s Eve, the real party took place on New Year’s Day in Miami. Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz were spotted partying all night (and morning) long in Miami with several celebrities, including Justin Bieber.

Following their Sunday (Dec. 1) win over the Redskins, the Giants players decided not to travel back to NY with the team and instead hopped on a plane to Miami and partied until at least 6 in the morning.

Snapchat and other social media clips show Beckham and Cruz partied with Bieber, Trey Songz, and fellow Giants players, Sterling Shepard and Roger Lewis at LIV and E11even nightclubs.

While I’m not the type to question someone’s sexual orientation based on innuendo or without said person actually commenting on the matter, many wondered what were Bieber and Beckham really doing in above clip before realizing they were being recorded.

The one thing that is for sure is that they were all the way turnt up. The party actually started earlier in the night at LIV nightclub, where several other celebs were spotted, including: Lil Wayne, Jamie Foxx, Khloe Kardashian, Tristan Thompson, and Johnny Manziel.

Later Monday morning (Jan. 2), Beckham, Songz and their crew took the party to the sea and were hanging out on a boat. Songz shared a pic on Snapchat, while Shepard shared one on Instagram, but later deleted it.

Some Giants fans wondered why the team’s wide receiver and a few of its players decided to party like rock stars instead of preparing for their upcoming playoff game against Green Bay on Sunday. According to head coach Ben McAdoo, the team was off on Monday and he has no problems with them having fun while they are not working.

The players get back on the grind on Tuesday.

Kim Burrell Defends Homophobic Sermon Days Before “Ellen” Performance, Pharrell Williams & “Hidden Figures” Stars Blast Her Hate Speech

Gospel singer and pastor Kim Burrell is making “no excuses or apologies” for condemning the LGBT community — I mean, the “homosexual spirt” — during a recent sermon.

The gospel singer was under fire and dragged on social media after referring to gay people as “perverted” in a sermon that has since gone viral. While preaching to her Love & Liberty Fellowship Church congregation in Houston, she stated:

“You play with the homosexual spirit in God’s house and you’ll die from it in 2017…

The perverted homosexual spirit, and the spirit of delusion and confusion, it has deceived many men and women. You as a man, you open your mouth and take a man’s penis in your face, you are perverted… You are a woman and will shake your face in another woman’s breast, you are perverted.”

The backlash and the accusations that she said all LGBT people were going to hell in 2017 caused Burrell to respond via two Facebook videos on Friday (Dec. 30).

“We’re not in a war against flesh and blood. I came on because I care about God’s creation and every person from the LGBT and anything else, any other kind of thing that is supporting gay…I never said LGBT last night. I said S-I-N and whatever falls in the sin was preached.”

Burrell believes that since she didn’t specifically say LGBT people or the community that her sermon wasn’t a “personal agenda against people” and that she loves people.

“To every person who is dealing with the homosexual spirit, I love you because God loves you. But God hates the sin.”

Yeah, still sounds like a “personal agenda against people” to me. There’s no other way anyone in the LGBT community could listen to her comments and not take them personally. Just like some racists can never utter the n-word a day in their life, but they’re still a racist. That concept applies here as well.

Meanwhile, Burrell is scheduled to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday (Jan. 5) with Pharrell Williams to perform their song, “I See Victory” from the Hidden Figures soundtrack.

Williams as well as Hidden Figures stars Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monae have spoken out against Burrell’s homophobic rant and expressed their support for equality.

Spencer reposted Williams’ statement and wrote:

“I agree. We are all God’s children equal in his eyes. Hatred isn’t the answer. Intolerance isn’t the answer.”

Monae also reposted the IG post and included a lengthy statement of her own. She wrote in part:

“I shouldn’t even have to post this as you guys should already know where I stand. I unequivocally repudiate ANY AND ALL hateful comments against the LGBTQ community. Actually I’m tired of that label. We all belong to the same community, a shared community called humanity…

“I will rejoice when folks stop thinking they ARE GOD, Jesus’ assistant, picking and choosing what ‘sins’ are acceptable in the Bible, and using the Bible as a whip!”

It’s unknown how Ellen producers plan to handle to Burrell’s hate speech or even if she will still perform with Williams. Burrell probably doesn’t want to be near “perverted” lesbian DeGeneres anyways. In her Facebook response, she noted her LGBT fans have failed to help her sell over 1 million records or earn her a Grammy.

On another note, Burrell also seemingly referred to Bishop Eddie Long in the now-viral clip.

“Nobody would think you have AIDS if homosexual men didn’t come out and reveal what you did behind closed doors.”

In 2010, four men accused Long of coercing them into sexual relationships when they were teenagers. The cases were settled out of court. Long recently made his first public appearance in months, after dealing with an undisclosed health issue, looking extremely thin and unhealthy. Though unconfirmed, some have wondered if the illness is HIV or AIDS.

No matter how she tries to explain it, Burrell preached hate under the guise of “love.” But she surely found out that such hate is not tolerated by many and will get checked really quick.

I just hope anyone LGBT struggling with acceptance listen to Williams, Spencer, and Monae’s words rather than hold on to the hate that Burrell spouted and continues to stand by.

Will Beyoncé & Adele Perform at 2017 Grammy Awards? Longtime Grammy Producer Gives Subtle Hint

If you haven’t done so already (and honestly why haven’t you), you have just over a month to get in “Formation” and say “Hello” from the other side. I know, I know it’s corny, but I just couldn’t help myself.

On to what truly matters — Beyoncé and Adele are both expected to perform at the Grammy Awards in February.

An official announcement of Grammy performers has yet to be named. However, during a roundtable interview with Billboard, Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich hinted that the two pop stars will grace the stage.

Ehrlich, who has produced the telecast since 1980, revealed only three of four artists have declined to perform at the awards show over the years. However, he refused to give their names. Here’s what he did say:

“But I can tell you that Adele and Beyoncé are not two of them. We have every anticipation that both of them will be with us in February.”

Hmmm, sounds like a confirmation to me. It actually would be hard to imagine a 2017 Grammys without Beyoncé or Adele. Beyoncé is the top nominee of the night with nine nominations, while Adele nabbed five. Both are also up for the “big three” awards: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.

Beyoncé will most certainly give a jaw-dropping must-see iconic performance (like she always does). And though not her fault, Adele can redeem herself from her less-than-stellar 2016 performance of “All I Ask.”

The 59th Grammy Awards will be held February 12th and will air on CBS at 8 p.m.

Beyoncé “Flips Out” on Kim Kardashian Over Kanye’s Rants, Returns Kardashian Christmas Party Invitation (Report)

Kanye West can kiss any hopes he had of daughter North West ever playing with Blue Ivy Carter anytime soon goodbye. A new report suggests the feud between the Wests and the Carters has grown to epic proportions and the two Hollywood couples will never be friends.

Radar Online is exclusively reporting Beyoncé “flipped out” on Kim Kardashian recently during a phone call. According to the site, Kim called Beyoncé after Kanye was released from the hospital to apologize for his onstage rants on Beyoncé and Jay Z. However, a source says the conversation did not go as Kim intended.

“Beyonce flipped out on Kim when Kim called her to try and soothe tensions after Kanye’s hospitalization. Basically, she told Kim to never, ever, contact her or her husband again and said stuff like she thought that the two of them are made for each other because they are both talentless and pathetic!”

In October, Kanye criticized Beyoncé and Jay Z for not calling or stopping by the house to check on Kim after she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. He also revealed that their children had never played with each other, despite their daughters being close in age. He went on another Beyoncé/Jay Z rant in November.

The source says the rants caused friction at home with Kim.

“Kim and Kanye both felt awful and got into it because Kim told Kanye that he had ruined their chances of being friends with Beyonce and Jay.”

Kim has reportedly spent years desperately trying to become friends with Queen Bey, but Beyoncé “kept ignoring her,” says the source. A previous report also claimed that Beyoncé has never liked Kim to begin with, and only tolerated her because of her and Jay’s friendship with Kanye.

Furious with Kanye for making matters worse, the source told Radar that Kim attempted one more time to make amends.

“They wanted to try one last time to make things better, so they mailed Bey and Jay an invite to the Kardashian’s holiday party. The invite was returned to Kim and Kanye’s house with ‘Return To Sender’ written on the envelope!”

To be fair, I don’t think even Kim and Kanye wanted to attend that party.

Beyoncé is never one to hide how she feels, but I highly doubt she would “flip out” on Kim Kardashian, mainly because I don’t see Beyoncé giving this petty situation that much energy. Kim might be desperate to build a friendship, but I can almost guarantee Beyoncé is not hard-pressed over what Kim or Kanye does.

Did Jennifer Hudson Clap Back at Tina Knowles Lawson’s Accidental Shady Instagram Comment “Like?”

The first celebrity feud of 2017 may have just been sparked by an “accidental” like and a cryptic social media response.

Tina Knowles Lawson recently announced she is taking a break from social media after facing heavy backlash for “liking” a negative comment about Jennifer Hudson. Days later, Hudson posted a possible clapback to Miss Tina’s shade. Here’s how it all went down.

Last week, Lawson was on Instagram scrolling through videos of her daughter, Beyoncé, performing. She came across a vid of Beyoncé and Hudson performing a song from Dreamgirls at the 2007 Oscars. However, social media quickly noticed Lawson had “liked” a comment that stated “Jhud sounds horrible.”

Many assumed Miss Tina was throwing shade at Hudson. However, Lawson took to her own Instagram account on Wednesday (Dec. 29) to address “evil mean people” and clear up all the confusion. She explained she was unaware of the mistake and assured Hudson and everyone else that she would never say or condone any negativity.

“I am writing this commentary for Jennifer Hudson and not for the evil mean people that are making this into a social media ugly thing. I’ve known Jennifer Hudson for many years and have totally been in admiration of her talent and beauty and kindness I would never ever say anything negative about her or agree with anything negative!

“…I am not a hater and I am not negative about people so to Jennifer for my mistake of accidentally touching it which I don’t remember doing I really apologize I totally love and Admire you”

She even added Beyoncé and Solange had warned her about social media and were “worried” that she “might accidentally touch something when looking at other sites.” The lesson-learned moment has caused her to take a step back from social media for a while.

Despite Lawson’s apology for what seems to be a genuine slip of the finger, did Hudson clapback with a post of her own? Heading into 2017, Hudson posted cryptic message on Instagram on Friday (Dec. 30) of her New Year’s resolution.

It’s unclear what sparked Hudson’s post, but many speculated it was a passive response to Lawson’s social media gaffe. Though the timing is interesting, it could also very well just be a coincidence.

This also isn’t the first time Miss Tina has found herself in a battle with social media. Back in June, she blasted those on social media who accused her of lying after she accepted an award on Beyoncé’s behalf at the BET Awards.

Queen Bey opened the show with a surprise performance and quickly left the venue afterwards. Lawson explained Beyoncé had a performance in Europe to get to, but fans knew the performance wasn’t until a few days later.

Mariah Carey’s Team Accuses Dick Clark Productions of Sabotage After Disastrous Lip Sync New Year’s Eve Performance

Happy New Year, Mariah! The diva of our generation needs all of the love she can get after her disastrous performance on live television just moments before the ball dropped in NYC to ring in 2017.

Mariah Carey performed during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, but unfortunately, everything that could go wrong, did! The singer was supposed to perform “Auld Lang Syne” and her hits “Emotions” and “We Belong Together” but all three songs were an epic lip sync fail.

According to TMZ, Mariah and her team are accusing Dick Clark Productions of “sabotage.”

Short story — Mariah’s team believe there are too many coincidences and too many warnings … they say it was sabotage “so they could get Mariah drama.” We know Mariah’s people fired off an email to an Exec at Dick Clark Productions, saying, “This is sabotage.”

The site claims Mariah repeatedly complained to production that she was having difficulty hearing her in-ear monitors. An hour before she was scheduled to take the stage, she first alerted production of the issue after an interview with Seacrest. She even told the host on-air, “I’m having trouble hearing you.”

Production assured her team the problem would be fixed by switching her earpieces to a different frequency. However, 6 minutes before she hit the stage she was still having issues and even went to the stage early to test everything out. Mariah’s mic-pack battery was also dead and changed during this time.

Mariah was forced to begin her performance knowing her inner ear monitors weren’t working properly. Once onstage, she also noticed the prompter, which displays the lyrics, was not working. Mariah’s team says she tried to hear the music on her own, but the massive Times Square audience was too overpowering.

Was it sabotage? I can’t really say. The only thing I know for sure is that this would never happen to Beyoncé!

After the performance — if you can even call it that — and the social media clowning session that followed, Mariah tweeted “sh*t happens.”
