On the real, all these guys knew what time it was, they trusted Eddie Long and gave into the acts because they were getting something in return just like a woman would do, but when things go wrong or your man is cheating, you find any way to make him pay for your heartache. Every guy is saying that he didn’t touch them physically until they were of age so what are they really trying to get paid for???

I believe that Eddie Long is a child’s predator due to the allegations and if found guilty of using the church funds and hiding behind the churches pulpit to do his dirty little undercover down-low life style, then yes he needs to be out-ed and needs to step down from the church. I believe he is guilty and all his lovers are fed up and now coming out to seek revenge and even though the guys are playing the victim card, it still doesn’t change the fact that Eddie Long is a hypocrite and needs his azz beat for misleading the church congregation and his family to think and believe he is something he is not, he is FAKE and a LIER, just watch and see when this is over!

New Birth the world is watching you and what you’re willing to stand for and it seems New Birth will stand for anything with their pastor instead of the children! Most people within your own congregation know this man preyed on young men, how many more will come forward before he steps aside. Homosexual has no place in Gods ptulpit. If u stand for the unrightiou you’ll stand for anything, maybe your son is next? Members talk to your children make sure he hasn’t gotten to them past and present. And lastly what about the Baptist Council of Churches they should ask him to step down until this mess is sorted out.

I am entitled to my opinion as is everyone else, and I do believe that something happened. I don’t believe those young men would put themselves out like that. Eddie Long knows the truth, God knows the truth and the young men know the truth. People can say they don’t believe it and that’s their opinion, but I believe in my heart that he is guilty and needs help. He knows within his heart what he did and he needs to ask for forgiveness; however, I’m sure that he won’t step down and he’s not going to admit the truth to the church. I hope he gets the help that he needs!

My heart goes out to the youngmen, this is hard. The accused is free, and does not care what their actions have caused to the accussor. I to went through the same thing with a different person, and this person continued to lie about what he did, and to be honest I just wanted to close that chapter of my life. For me it was a stepfather whom I trusted, and kept the secrect for over 30 years. The sad part is his son of another marriage, a decon in the chruch, did the same thing to his stepdaughter, and like his sick father he got away with what he did. The mother not once thought of the damage to the child, and because of her chruch ties, they let him get away with it. The sad part is to have the molestor look you in your face, and in front of others and continue to lie, try to damage your character even more, to save their own skin.To me it was like him molesting me all over again only this time he had an audience. My prayers are with you youngmen. Folks would rather lie, make you look bad, to save themself from their own sickness. Use a platform and bring even more damage to the folks you hurt. Mines continues to lie,and now his molesting son and him share the same house, I wonder what the dinner topic is? How to molest innocent youth, rob them of there trust, and make people feel sorry for them.(the molestors) I wanted closure, and forgivness and he wanted to continue the torment. But you’d continue the pretense to maintain the money, but as a church member I’d be upset over the fact that you used my money to buy cars, trips, etc, for your own lust. I pray that their lawyers can nail his cocky butt to the wall, he has no remorse.

This is what i dont understand is why everyone at new birth assume that eddie long is telling the truth because he’s a bishop because he suppose to be a man of God that he wouldnt do something like this. first of all you shouldnt put your faith in a man because he would always let you down. You need to go back and read TITUS 1:10-16 and 1 TIMOTHY 3:1-7
what bishop you know would snap pictures of himself and send it to young boys and just like BJ Bernstein said she got more evidence to convict him. she just gave you a taste what she was working with. but she will save the best for the court…. before its all said and done eddie long will probably settle out of court.

If you think about it eddie long have alot to loose if he admits the truth. the only thing this man is thinking about is his fame, and the money he will loose… but i know if i was going to new birth i wouldnt put one dime in the collection plate until i found out the whole truth because all your hard working money is going on his legal fees to bail him out and he’s guilty. but the truth will come out i just cant see why 4 boys would just lie on him… Im sure there going to be some new birth member stand behind him 100% because of your personal feelings you have for him but you got to to put those personal and emotional feelings a side for a moment and look at the evidence…ask yourself did that look like some photo’s your bishop will send? Daley. I agree with you a 100%. Closeted pastors have demonized and damned men and women with same sex attractions to hell for decades. In addition, as another writer noted, the church the needs to have a healthy dialogue about sexuality. I don’t personally have an issue with anyone who lives a gay life or identifies as gay. Sincere and caring people come in all forms; gay, straight, bi or whatever. However, the issue I have with the gay community is when they attack other people who struggle with same sex attractions. I’m referring to men and women who choose not to act out on their homosexual inclinations. The gay community is brutal toward people who identify as “ex-gay” or who identify as gay but celibate (for religious reasons). I think it’s rather hypocritical. A person can have same sex feelings and not act out on them and be healthy, happy and emotionally stable. NO, this may not be the case for everyone that has same sex attractions but it is for many people. I believe Eddie Long may be hiding something. The unfortunate thing is that many people will lose their faith because of his indiscretions. We all really need to learn what true tolerance is and live by it. It will make the world a much better place.

the scriptures read u shall reap what u sow, and God shall rock the nations and shake out all the undesireable things’ bishop wrong your time has come; repent and u shall be forgiven and those

If Bishop Long is guilty, then he should admit it, ask God for forgiveness,and ask his congregation for forgiveness. This is the only way he will be able to move forward.

@Sharon Peterson: Forgivenes is a justifiable answer but,accountability is also required, this is terrible, that’s one reason i my self have refraimed from runnin up in da churh house all da time, given them my very last just be cause they say it’s what thus said the Lord.. Well i know that God say for us to do good but, he ain’t never ever, required nobody to be no.. Dern Fool……It’s goin ta take more than runnin up in dat church house every time da doors open to get us ta heaven, and tithin is more than just givin a tenth to da church.. People helpin others, given time, or a ride to someone who needs one, feeding others, smiling at some one.All these thing are goodm… God honors that and will consider that as a part of tithing. I had to learn dat da hard way, nobody in da churh was concerned about my welfare after i’d given my all to comply with what i thought was pleasing to God. God is much, much, more passionate for us than that.

IF the parent(s) knew about these acts against their kids WHILE it was taking place and did nothing they should be held accountable and should be ashamed. IF bishop Long committed the sex “act” after they were of legal age there is not much they can do about it(still does not make it right). A single individual making such allegations against bishop Long would not merit much attention. BUT, when there are several individuals making these claims, it needs to be looked at with a magnifying glass!!! Keep in mind, that according to the young men, they were underage when the “grooming” process begain and of age when the sex begain. The parents who loved and trusted the bishop would not have been suspecious of gifts or trips. In fact, they would have been happy and excited that the bishop was giving them some attention. While I hope these allegations are unfounded, I’m not blind nor surprised as these things go on all the time in the church and is met with silence; from the wife on down. In fact, I’m more concerned with what his wife knew. Was she part of the “show”, keeping his secrets in exchange for money, power, and a lavish life-style. If so, this has to be the day she always dreaded would come.

This is all the people fault….. you fight hard for homosexual and lesbians to be over churches which give them easy access to our children and when they start coercing them in this lifestyle you say look at the church no NO this is a homosexual issue and they do not need to be over churches no more than adulterers and rapist and murderers because they carry a perverted spirit….if he did this he is homosexual and that is what they do they desire boys stop making them leaders over these innocent children that they may use their influence to coerce them in sexual acts. Homosexuals need to be ministered to that they may be delivered and clean in their actions before being over our easily influenced children.

Proverbs says “Judge and you will be judged, before you look at the speck in your brother’s eye . . . take the plank out of your own”. Jesus said it best when he said “He that is without sin, let him cast the first stone” Can any of you do that? I didn’t think so. None of us can. The court says that the person is innocent until proven guilty. Why don’t you act and talk the same. When a member of the body of Christ hurts so does the whole body. Candice Rivers, I agree with you. I am not here to judge, because I am not God. Only God can judge us for sins we commit. No one knows what happened except for the parties involved and God. There are a lot of questions that I could ask, but I probably would not get a truthful answer, because all parties involved, seeks something to gain. One thing I am certain of is that this case has more to do with than just these men and eddie long. There are a lot of silent parties that stand to benefit if these cases can be proven. We will all answer to God for every act that we commit, whether good or bad. So let us not judge, because we all will stand trial with the ultimate judge, God. How then will you respond to God. So let us not focus our attention on the acts of other men, because until we have cleaned our own house, we have no right to comment on anybody else’s house.
