Lupita Nyong’o Mourns Her Black Panther Co-Star Chadwick Boseman in Heartfelt Tribute: “I’m Struggling to Think About My Friend in the Past Tense”

Lupita Nyong’o shared a heartfelt tribute to her Black Panther co-star Chadwick Boseman Tuesday (Sep. 8) following his death at 43 years old after a private battle with colon cancer.

Taking to Instagram, the 37-year-old actress shared a photo of the late actor laughing as she put her hands on his shoulders.

Alongside the photo, Lupita penned a touching message about her friend, saying she was struggling to think about him “in the past tense.”

She wrote: “I write these words from a place of hopelessness, to honor a man who had great hope. I am struggling to think and speak about my friend, Chadwick Boseman, in the past tense. It doesn’t make sense.

“The news of his passing is a punch to my gut every morning. I am aware that we are all mortal, but you come across some people in life that possess an immortal energy, that seems like they have existed before, that are exactly where they are supposed to always be – here! … that seem ageless… Chadwick was one of those people.

“Chadwick was a man who made the most of his time, and somehow also managed to take his time. I didn’t know him for long, but he had a profound effect on me in the time that I did.

“When we came together to make Black Panther, I remember being struck by his quiet, powerful presence. He had no airs about him, but there was a higher frequency that he seems to operate from.

“You got the sense that he was fully present and also somehow fully aware of things in the distant future. As a result, I noticed that Chadwick never seemed rushed! He commanded his time with ease… And he put in the work with all of us. He showed up to every rehearsal and training and shoot day with his game face on. He was absorbent. Agile.

“He set the bar high by working with a generosity of spirit, creating an ego-free environment by sheer example, and he always had a warm gaze and a strong embrace to share. His large hands would descend on my shoulders and give them a squeeze that relieved me of the tensions I did not realize I was holding.

“Chadwick’s hands were strong enough to carry the weight of the film and free enough to clasp mine when I needed it. He was impeccable with his word. I never heard him complain—and there were definitely some things word complaining about! I think he understood the power of words and chose to manifest power through his word.

“He used his mouth to build, to edify, never to break. And he used it to tell some regrettably lame dad jokes. He practiced not going against himself. He seemed to really love himself; he expressed who he really was, even when it meant he didn’t smile when you thought he should. He accepted himself. And perhaps that’s why he was capable of loving so many, so deeply.

“And he used his body in every way he could. He did his own stunts, drummed at his own parties, danced many a night away, mastered martial arts… the list goes on. He loved, honored and respected that body, doing more with it than most. In so doing, he took the risk to be alive, fully alive. So it seems that it was life that gave up on Chadwick long before Chadwick gave up on life…

“When I was around Chadwick, I wanted to be better, less petty, more purposeful… He was fueled by love, not fear. He moved quietly, deliberately and without imposing himself or his ideals on others. And yet he also made damn sure that his life meant something. He was unwavering about that.

“He cared so deeply about humanity, about Black people, about his people. He activated our pride. By pushing through and working with such high purpose in the films he chose to commit to, Chadwick has made the infinite his home.

“We are all charged by his work as a result, by his presence in our lives. His power lives on and will reverberate for generations to come. He used his life force to tell meaningful stories. And now we tell his…

“Chadwick’s death is something that I can neither take in on nor take in my stride right now. Perhaps with time… I’m going to take my time… and in his honor, I promise not to waste my time. I hope you will do the same.

“My deepest condolences to his family, friends and to his loving wife, Simone, from whom I heard this phrase articulated so resonantly: #TakeYourTimeButDontWasteYourTime”

Lupita captioned the post: “For the beloved #ChadwickBoseman. #TakeYourTimeButDontWasteYourTime”

Lupita’s tribute comes after she joined fellow Black Panther co-stars Michael B. Jordan and Winston Duke at a private memorial service in Malibu for Boseman’s friends and family.

The late actor’s wife, Taylor Simone Ledward, also attended the service. She and Chadwick were said to have secretly married earlier this year after he proposed to her last fall.

Chadwick Boseman’s death following a private 4-year battle with colon cancer was announced on his social media accounts during the late-night hours of Friday, August 28th. “He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side,” the message read in part.

According to Boseman’s obituary, he will be laid to rest after a private funeral service “for family only” in his hometown of Anderson, South Carolina.

Deb Antney Takes Georgia Teen From Home After Viral Video Shows Dad & Stepmom Abusing Her

After a video from Instagram Live went viral showing a married couple in Clayton County, Georgia abusing their teen daughter after she allegedly ran away from home, Deb Antney has revealed that she has stepped in to help the young girl out.

UPDATE: Gwinnett Police Investigating Viral Videos Showing Teen Being Abused by Dad & Stepmom

In the IG Live video that went viral over the weekend, a 14-year-old girl named Trinity can be seen being slapped and pushed around by her father and stepmother in a garage during an intense line of questioning that lasted for nearly 40 minutes.

At one point, Trinity escapes for a brief moment before her father goes after her, catches her and drags her back into the garage.

The disturbing footage also shows Trinity’s father, who has since been identified as Andrew Eugene Anderson, pinning the girl down to the ground and sitting on her chest.

“Now what?!” Anderson shouts at the child as she screams for help and begs him to get off of her.

“You think you can handle yourself?! What you gonna do when a man do this?! You think you can handle yourself out here in these streets?! It’s cool to run away?!”

Deb Antney took to Instagram Sunday (Sep. 6), posting videos talking about the situation and revealing that Trinity was safe and in her care.

“She’s good,” Antney said of Trinity in one clip. “She’s more than protected, honey. Allstate don’t have nothing on me right now. She is super good.”

Ms. Deb—who is rapper Waka Flocka Flame’s mother and best known as a former manager to Gucci Mane and Nick Minaj—also thanked Lil Scrappy for bringing awareness to the situation and called out weirdos on social media for making fake pages pretending to be the girl.

In another video, Antney can be seen taking Trinity to a store to get some clothes. Another video shows the girl playing with a pet bird.

Chief Keef’s Baby Mama Slim Danger Says Odell Beckham Jr. “Loves to Be Sh**ted On” During Sex & Requested Photo of Her Pooping on the Toilet

A model has come out and revealed that Odell Beckham Jr. (allegedly) has an apparent poop fetish and enjoys having women use the bathroom on him during sex.

Monday night (Sep. 7), video footage surfaced of an interview hosted by Insta-slores Celina Powell and Aliza (yes, THAT Aliza) on Adam 22’s No Jumper podcast, in which Chief Keef’s baby mama Slim Danger claims Odell “loves to be shitted on.” (Allegedly, of course, because the women said they are “avoiding lawsuits here.”)

Danger said she was ultimately unable to fulfill Beckham Jr’s alleged request because she “actually couldn’t shit.” She added: “I can do some freak a** hoe sh**, but the sh**tin’ part? You can’t just do that to me on the spot.”

The woman then went into great detail about how Odell asked her to perform the strange sex act.

“He was like make sure you don’t have any underwear. Don’t take a shower for 24 hours,” she recalled of the Cleveland Browns wide receiver asking her after offering to fly her out.

Slim said Odell then asked her to take a picture of herself doing the number two, so she did him one even better … she took a video of it. “So I sent it to him,” and within two hours, “I was in Houston.”

Considering the source(s), this information should be taken with a HUGE grain of salt, but that didn’t stop Twitter from reacting as follows and making Odell’s name become a trending topic overnight and into the early morning hours on Tuesday (Sep. 8):

Graphic Video of Army Vet Ronnie McNutt Blowing His Face Off With Shotgun Goes Viral on TikTok

Disturbing video footage of a man who filmed his own suicide has gone viral on social media, especially TikTok.

33-year-old Ronald “Ronnie” McNutt, an Iraq war veteran, killed himself in his Mississippi home last Monday (Aug. 31) and he filmed the entire act on Facebook Live.

The video was taken down after a few hours, but in the days since, McNutt’s death has become a viral event, as the horrific clip has been reposted on various social media platforms over the past week, including TikTok, the video-sharing app that is widely popular among kids and teens.

Countless social media users are claiming to have seen the clip unintentionally, and they are now warning others about the video being shared amid reports that that it appeared on TikTok’s “For You” trending page.

“If you see this guy on your FYP [For You page] please scroll up immediately, it’s very gruesome and I highly suggest you stay away from TikTok for a while,” one Twitter user reportedly said.

“I was scrolling TikTok and suddenly there’s a video of a guy that killed themselves with a shotgun and I am seriously warning you DO NOT watch it DO NOT SEARCH FOR IT because it’s very terrifying and gory so pls BE CAREFUL god damn I’m shaking,” said another.

A spokesperson for TikTok released a statement saying: “On Sunday night, clips of a suicide that had been livestreamed on Facebook circulated on other platforms, including TikTok. Our systems have been automatically detecting and flagging these clips for violating our policies against content that displays, praises, glorifies, or promotes suicide.

“We are banning accounts that repeatedly try to upload clips, and we appreciate our community members who’ve reported content and warned others against watching, engaging, or sharing such videos on any platform out of respect for the person and their family.”

We at Gossip On This were able to easily find the footage online, however, we will not be reposting it here for obvious reasons.

The video starts out with Ronnie answering the phone, angrily telling the person on the other end: “Yeah, you wanna talk to me now? Is that how you’re gonna be?”

He then talks directly to the camera and says “Hey guys! I guess that’s it” before placing the barrel end of a shotgun to his chin and pulling the trigger. His face is immediately split open after a single gunshot is heard.

McNutt’s friends and family members spoke out about their sorrow and the shock of the video.

“Please say a prayer right now for the family of Ronnie McNutt,” one friend wrote on social media. “He just killed himself live on FB and I cannot unsee this. What do you do? I happened to the last min get on FB before I went to sleep and I saw it. I tried but apparently it wasn’t quick enough to reach him. I wasn’t quick enough. Dear God I wish I could have gotten to him.”

Another shared: “I got too late. I was watching it trying to figure out what was going on then I called our friend to get his address and he freaking shot himself in the head. In front of his mom. He was apparently reaching out for an hour. An hour. How could no one get to him?”

According to reports, McNutt—who was employed by Toyota in Blue Spring, New Albany—had recently broken up with his girlfriend and also suffered from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).

Josh Steen, a friend and co-host of a podcast with McNutt, told Heavy: “He didn’t seem to be the same guy that left for Iraq once he exited the service. I spent many a late night in our studio, via text message, and in person talking with him about life and his struggles.

“Mental health issues are very very real, and I honestly think that there are a lot of people who struggle with all areas of mental illness who let it go untreated. Or treat it with other things, it seems.”

Steen added that he was alerted to the video while it was still being broadcast live and tried to call McNutt several times. He said that he didn’t believe that McNutt wanted to kill himself, but did admit that his friend was “incredibly drunk, and that plus his recent relationship issues led to the end result.”

Steen said: “I tried multiple times to call him, from my cell phone and our phone at the theatre; both numbers he would easily recognize. I watched him pick his phone up, think for a second, and then decline my calls.

“I really thought that if I could just get him to break his focus for just a second it would be alright. His laugh always made me laugh, and I’m glad that I have our archives to back through to hear it whenever I want to now.”

Steen also said that the police had been called and were standing outside McNutt’s apartment watching the live stream.

McNutt was a member of Celebration Church Tupelo, which confirmed his death in a post on its Facebook page on September 1st.

“In the midst of a sudden tragedy that occurred last night, we grieve with the McNutt Family during this time because passing of our brother in Christ, Ronnie McNutt,” the post said.

“Ronnie will be missed by all who loved and knew him,” it continued. “He was very caring, committed, loyal, dependable, and eccentric. He served his church faithfully and was loved by many.

“Although events surrounding his death were tragic, we take comfort in our Creator, believing that because of Ronnie’s confession and conversion as a believer in Christ Jesus, he is currently before our loving Father.”

According to his obituary, Ronnie McNutt is survived by his mother, Elaine, as well as a brother and sister.

Donald Trump Called American Soldiers Who Died During World War I “Losers” and “Suckers” (Report)

President Donald Trump described American soldiers who died on French soil during a crucial World War I battle as “losers” and “suckers,” according to an exclusive report published by The Atlantic on Thursday (Sep. 3).

The president reportedly made the disrespectful remarks ahead of a planned November 2018 visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in Paris, France.

The trip, which was to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, was ultimately canceled after Trump said “the helicopter couldn’t fly” and that the Secret Service refused to drive him to the cemetery. But, according to The Atlantic‘s report, “neither claim was true.”

The real reason Trump didn’t want to visit the site was because he was afraid the rain would mess up his hair, which he has described in the past as “great.”

On top of that, the president didn’t think it was important to honor dead American soldiers, The Atlantic‘s report claimed, citing four people with direct knowledge of the situation.

“Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers,” Trump reportedly told senior staff members the morning he was set to visit the cemetery.

In a separate conversation around the same time, he called U.S. Marines who were killed in the Battle of Belleau Wood “suckers” because they died, the report stated.

The battle and the ground it was fought on are widely considered an important part of Marine Corps history because it was where American troops and allies stopped the Germans from advancing towards Paris in 1918.

But The Atlantic reported that Trump didn’t understand the battle’s significance, and even asked advisers: “Who were the good guys in this war?”

The Commander-in-Chief also couldn’t comprehend why the U.S. became involved with World War I to side with Allied forces.

The Atlantic‘s report also noted that the president didn’t want wounded veterans at a military parade because he felt as though spectators would feel uncomfortable in the presence of amputees.

“Nobody wants to see that,” he said while planning an event in 2018.

Donald Trump—who didn’t serve in the military after infamously dodging the draft during the Vietnam war due to the alleged presence of bone spurs in his feet—has a long history of making disparaging remarks against veterans, including Senator John McCain, whom he called a “f**king loser” after seeing flags lowered to half-mast in McCain’s honor after his death in 2018.

“What the f**k are we doing that for?” the president reportedly asked aides.

Sen. McCain was formerly a U.S. Navy fighter pilot who was captured and tortured by North Vietnamese forces during the Vietnam war for over five years.

“He’s not a war hero,” Trump said of McCain in July 2015 while he was still running for the Republican presidential nomination. “He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

Trump has continued to make rude comments about McCain even after his death. In 2019 during an appearance at the Faith and Freedom Coalition, the president implied that McCain was in hell.

“We needed 60 votes and we had 51 votes,” Trump said, in regards to efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

“And sometimes, you know, we had a little hard time with a couple of them, right? Fortunately, they’re gone now. They’ve gone on to greener pastures—or perhaps far less green pastures. But they’re gone. I’m very happy they’re gone.”

White House spokeswoman Alyssa Farah responded to The Atlantic‘s report, calling it “false.”

She said: “President Trump holds the military in the highest regard. He’s demonstrated his commitment to them at every turn: delivering on his promise to give our troops a much needed pay raise, increasing military spending, signing critical veterans reforms, and supporting military spouses. This has no basis in fact.”

Farah added in a separate statement: “I’ve watched President Trump solemnly sign letters to the families of fallen heroes. He’s honored their memories by doing more than any modern president to get us OUT of endless wars.”

White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere also called The Atlantic‘s report “false,” saying via Twitter: “Not a soul brave enough to put their name on any of these accusations … Just another anonymously sourced story meant to tear down a Commander-in-Chief who loves our military and has delivered on the promises he’s made. What a disgrace!”

President Trump has often said he’s done more for veterans than any other president before him.

He also falsely said that he was behind the passage of the Veterans Choice Act, when it was actually Obama who signed it into law while he was in office back in 2014.

When a reporter called Trump out for his false claim during a news conference last month, the president refused to answer and walked out of the room, abruptly ending the conference.

Yaya Mayweather is Allegedly Pregnant With NBA YoungBoy’s SEVENTH Baby

Floyd Mayweather’s daughter, Iyanna “Yaya” Mayweather, is rumored to be pregnant by NBA YoungBoy after supposed “receipts” were posted on social media.

Wednesday afternoon (Sep. 2), two videos surfaced on Instagram showing Yaya with a pretty noticeable belly.

The videos have people speculating that she’s pregnant with NBA YoungBoy’s SEVENTH—yes, you read that right … SEVENTH—child.

One of the videos is supposedly from a friend that was posted on Instagram.

In the video, two of Yaya’s friends are showing off their shoes, and Yaya can be seen in the background dressed in all black with what appears to be a baby bump.

Once the girl recording notices Yaya in view of the camera, she says: “Oh sh**! I’m tripping,” which has led many to speculate that she put Yaya on blast “accidentally on purpose.”

Another video shows Yaya walking with a friend in a mall, once again dressed in all black and rocking baggy clothes.

The person filming her from a distance claims to have seen a baby bump and says behind the camera: “[Yaya] Mayweather, and she pregnant than a mothaf***a. NBA YoungBoy you fu**ing know better.”

While neither Yaya nor NBA Youngboy have confirmed or denied anything regarding a pregnancy, Yaya’s mother, Melissia Brim, seemingly openly received a congratulatory message pertaining to her “grand baby.”

Peep the “tea” below:

https://www.instagram.com/p/CEo-O98JhKW/

This wouldn’t be the first time Yaya has been accused of being pregnant by NBA YoungBoy.

Last June (2019), she was rocking what looked like a baby bump in an Instagram Live video. But it’s been well over a year since then, and she doesn’t have a baby, so the pregnancy rumors turned out to be just that… rumors.

If Yaya is, indeed, pregnant with NBA YoungBoy’s child this time around, it would make his seventh.

Several weeks ago, YoungBoy was on Instagram Live when someone made a comment about the number of children he’s fathered, and he was forced to set the record straight once and for all.

“Aye look, I got four little boys, right?” the 20-year-old said. “Matter fact, one of their birthdays is today. I got four little boys and I got one daughter, her name is Armani. I got another daughter on the way though. I got one daughter that’s born. Y’all gotta stop that weird shit.”

Four little boys, plus “one daughter that’s born” (Armani) and the daughter he has on the way equals six children … which would make Yaya’s (alleged) baby number seven.

NBA YoungBoy also made headlines back in June after two of his baby mamas gave birth to their children in the same week.

That same week, the rapper released a new song called “Death Enclaimed,” in which he raps: “Tired of f**kin’ ’round with groupies / 4 lil’ boys and 2 lil’ girls and they mine.”

With all of these kids, it seems as though NBA YoungBoy is battling Future for the “Most Fertile Rapper Alive” title.

And since we’re on the subject of “making headlines,” Yaya made her own back in April when she was arrested for allegedly stabbing another one of NBA YoungBoy’s baby mamas, Lapattra Jacobs. She was booked for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and could reportedly face up to 99 years in prison if convicted as charged.

Editor’s Note: We erroneously reported that NBA YoungBoy has seven children, however, it appears as if we misunderstood his explanation when he talked about how many kids he has. The rapper has actually fathered six children, and Yaya Mayweather’s would be baby number seven. The article has been updated.

Gucci Mane & His Artist Foogiano Named in Wrongful Death Lawsuit After Double Murder at South Carolina Nightclub

Gucci Mane and his 1017 Records artist Foogiano have been named in a wrongful death lawsuit following a shooting that took place at a concert at a nightclub in Greenville, South Carolina back in July.

The lawsuit alleges that on the night of July 4th and during the early morning hours of July 5th, hundreds of people gathered at Lavish Lounge to see Foogiano perform in concert.

A total of 10 people were shot at Lavish Lounge that fateful night. 23-year-old Mykala Bell, a mother of two, and 51-year-old Clarence Johnson, who was working security at the club, were killed in the shooting.

“What we have here is a very tragic situation that left two young children without a mother. A preventable situation,” said Daniel Dalton, the attorney for Bell’s estate.

The lawsuit claims neither Foogiano nor members of his entourage were patted down or searched for weapons prior to the show, which resulted in dangerous people being allowed to enter the club with deadly weapons.

Mykala Bell’s estate alleges that around 2 a.m. on July 5th, an altercation broke out on the stage, and multiple shots were fired. When Bell tried to escape, she was unlawfully restrained, caught in the crossfire, shot and killed.

The lawsuit, which was filed on August 31st on behalf of Mykala Bell’s estate, names multiple defendants, including WHR Social Club doing business as Lavish Ultra Lounge, the nightclub’s owner Rommie Khalil, Kwame Brown (aka Foogiano), Jarquez Cooper (a member of Foogiano’s entourage and the suspected shooter), and Radric Davis (aka Gucci Mane).

Also named in the suit is Sierra Six Safety and Security, the firm providing security at the venue, along with 1-10 unspecified additional defendants.

All of the defendants named in the suit are accused of “failing to provide adequate security on the premises, knowingly subjecting invitees of the premises to an unreasonable risk of serious physical harm, failing to exercise reasonable care to provide a safe environment for the invitees of the premises, and failing to provide proper and adequate surveillance of the premises.”

The lawsuit also states that the suspected shooter, Jarquez Cooper, was “acting at all times within the course and scope of his duties for Defendant Brown [Foogiano] and other Defendants.”

Just days after the shooting, police arrested Cooper, 22, and said the incident appeared to be gang-related. Cooper was charged with two counts of murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and seven counts of attempted murder.

The suit alleges that the defendants are liable for Mykala’s pain, suffering and death, and it’s seeking damages for suffering she endured prior to her death.

Additionally, Bell’s estate is seeking reasonable and fair value of her funeral and burial expenses, as well as punitive damages to be determined by a jury.

R. Kelly’s Head Was Stomped on “Repeatedly” & He Was Almost Stabbed With a Pen During Prison Beatdown

The inmate who attacked R. Kelly in his jail cell last week tried to stab the disgraced R&B singer with a pen and also “repeatedly” stomped on his head, according to Kelly’s attorney.

A motion filed Monday (Aug. 31) by R. Kelly’s lawyer Steven Greenberg asking the court to release Kelly on bail states that the “Ignition” singer was asleep in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago last Wednesday when the “violent” inmate snuck in and started “stomping on [Kelly’s] head, repeatedly.”

Greenberg also said the violent inmate had “an ink pen with him that he was going to use to stab Mr. Kelly but others grabbed him before he could use it.”

Greenberg’s motion (via PageSix) continued: “This is an inmate that never should have been anywhere near Mr. Kelly, an individual who is charged with the most violent of crimes, and one who plainly has no respect for the rules, he has the phrase ‘Fu** The Feds’ tattooed on his face.”

Greenberg said Kelly “mostly remains in his cell… to ensure his own safety,” however, he was recently placed in solitary confinement after the attack to protect him. It isn’t clear if he remains in solitary confinement today.

Greenberg revealed last Thursday (Aug. 27) that Kelly was attacked in his cell by a frustrated inmate who was upset over lockdowns in the facility caused by the disgraced artist, who’s currently awaiting trial on a series of child sex abuse charges.

“My understanding is, everytime there is a pro-R. Kelly protest outside of the jail, they lockdown the entire facility,” Greenberg said at the time.

“When they do this, inmates don’t get their commissary, they don’t get their shower, stuff like that and since they’re fairly sporadic anyway, they get upset. So they’re penalizing everyone in the facility because people are protesting in support of Kelly.”

Greenberg wrote in his motion to get Kelly released on bail: “To-date, there have been at least a half-dozen of these displays of support outside of the MCC, always peaceful.

“These unnecessary institutional lockdowns have needlessly promoted animosity towards Mr. Kelly. Notably, the institution does not go into lockdown during other, violent, downtown protests or during citywide looting.”

Kelly’s attorneys have repeatedly petitioned the courts to release him on bail amid the COVID-19 pandemic, pending his trial, but all of those requests have so far been denied.

He was originally supposed to go to trial for rape, sex trafficking and child pornography charges back in April, but the case has been delayed due to the pandemic.

In his motion Monday, Greenberg proposed having Kelly placed on electronic monitoring and allowing him to reside in an apartment with his girlfriend close to the courthouse.

Greenberg told Page Six that he fears for his client’s safety, especially after the violent attack.

“I’m still very concerned because sure this time the guards were able to quickly stop something from happening but what happens if someone goes in his cell with a shank or something like that? Or the guards are busy doing something else?” Greenberg said.

“We were fortunate this time but who’s to say next time?”

Protests Erupt in Los Angeles After Police Shoot & Kill Black Man During Foot Chase & Leave His Body in the Street for “Several” Hours

The fatal shooting of a Black man by police has sparked yet another wave of protests in Los Angeles.

CBSLA reports that a large crowd of demonstrators gathered Monday night (Aug. 31) after deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department opened fire on a suspect during a foot chase in the Westmont area.

The man who was killed was identified by a local Black Lives Matters group as 29-year-old Dijon Kizzee.

Video shared on social media showed the man running from police moments before he was shot to death. After the shooting, witnesses can be heard in the video screaming at police.

One woman, who didn’t want her name released, said she knew the man and witnessed the whole thing.

“He had a towel and he had his clothes and his pants couldn’t even stay up, so that’s what made him slow down so they had enough to get him,” she told CBSLA. “They didn’t have to shoot him more than 5 times, they could have shot him one time in the leg.”

The woman said through tears: “What’s the use of having the prison system if y’all are just gonna kill us? What are y’all here for? Who are you protecting?”

Investigators with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. said the shooting happened just after 3:15 p.m local time.

Authorities said Kizzee was riding his bike when deputies tried to stop him for what they described as a “vehicle code violation.”

Investigators said the man then took off running and a fight ensued once deputies caught up to him.

“Our suspect was holding some items of clothing in his hands, punched one of the officers in the face and then dropped the items in his hands,” Lt. Brandon Dean said.

“The deputies noticed that inside the clothing items that he dropped was a black semiautomatic handgun, at which time a deputy-involved shooting occurred.”

Dijon Kizzee was declared dead at the scene, and the sheriff’s dept. said a handgun was later recovered.

Officials haven’t confirmed the number of times Kizze was shot, but some witnesses reported hearing up to 20 gunshots fired.

Eyewitnesses also said Kizzee’s lifeless body was still laying on the ground “several” hours after he was killed.

A small crowd gathered at the scene immediately after the shooting, but the number of people quickly grew to hundreds.

“How many more times do we have to gather out here, mourning the loss of our brothers and sisters,” one protester told reporters.

Usher’s New Girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea is Pregnant With His Third Child

Usher is reportedly about to be a dad again!

According to Us Weekly, the 41-year-old R&B singer and his new girlfriend, 37-year-old Jenn Goicoechea, are expecting their first child together.

A source very close to the couple told the tabloid: “They are thrilled and very excited.”

The pair were photographed leaving a production studio in Los Angeles Monday (Aug. 31), and Goicoechea was rockin’ a very noticeably baby bump.

While this will be their first child together (and also Jenn’s first), Usher already has two sons, 12-year-old Usher and 11-year-old Naviyd Raymond, with his ex-wife Tameka Foster.

Usher and Tameka were married between 2007 and 2009. He was also married to Grace Miguel from 2015 to 2018.

Usher and Goicoechea, a record executive, first sparked dating rumors back in October 2019 when they were spotted together backstage at the Hollywood Bowl.

They were also spotted partying together at Diddy’s 50th birthday party in December, and Usher took Jenn as his date to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party this past February. The two have yet to confirm or comment on the pregnancy.

As was previously reported, Niecy filed for divorce from her husband Jay Tucker last December, and the exes finalized their divorce back in March.

Nash’s new marriage comes as a huge surprise to everyone because most people didn’t know Niecy was a member of the LGBTQ community, and no one had any idea that she was engaged to a woman.

VIDEO: Kenosha Shooter Kyle Rittenhouse Punches Girl, Then Gets Jumped & Stomped Out by Bystanders

A disturbing video clip has surfaced showing Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old suspected of shooting three people and killing two during protests in Kenosha over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, becoming involved in a fight and punching a girl from behind.

It’s unclear when the footage was filmed, but some users on social media are saying that the incident happened last month.

Rittenhouse, who lives in Antioch, Illinois—which is about an hour north of Chicago and about 30 minutes west of Kenosha—and another teenage male can be seen getting in a girl’s face and screaming at her.

He’s wearing what appears to be a black hoodie/shirt and red, white, and blue pants. He’s also wearing the same red, white and blue Crocs shown in the now-viral photo of him holding an assault rifle.

After about 30 seconds, a fight breaks out, and Kyle can then clearly be seen punching one of the girls involved in the scuffle from behind.

The men filming the fight from a distance are heard debating about whether or not they should intervene, but after Kyle starts throwing punches, they decide to get out of the vehicle and break up the fight.

The clip abruptly ends, but another picks up where it left off, showing the men breaking up the fight and stomping Kyle out before the teen scurries off in fear.

Kyle Rittenhouse remains in police custody after he was arrested Wednesday (Aug. 26) in connection with Tuesday’s shooting that led to the deaths of 26-year-old Anthony Huber and 36-year-old Joeseph Rosenbaum, a father to a young daughter.

The third shooting victim survived and has since been identified as 26-year-old Gaige Grosskreutz, a volunteer medic for Black Lives Matter protests in Milwaukee over the summer.

Rittenhouse was charged Thursday by Wisconsin prosecutors with six criminal counts—including two counts first-degree intentional homicide and one count of attempted homicide.

He also faces charges of recklessly endangering the safety of two other victims and possessing a weapon while under the age of 18. If convicted of the two first-degree intentional homicide charges, he could face life in prison.

Rittenhouse is being held at a Lake County juvenile detention facility. A judge delayed Friday’s extradition hearing was delayed to September 25th as his lawyer claimed that he acted in self-defense. He’ll remain in custody in Illinois pending extradition to Kenosha.

“Black Panther” Star Chadwick Boseman Dead at 43 From Colon Cancer

Chadwick Boseman, the actor best known for starring in “Black Panther,” has died at 43 years old following a 4-year battle with colon cancer.

Chadwick recently sparked concern after he appeared very thin in videos shared via social media. Fans’ concerns with his health at the time now appear to be warranted, as it has now been confirmed that he was battling a terminal illness.

“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman,” his family said in a statement. “Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.”

The statement continued saying “it was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther. He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side.”

Though the “Black Panther” is Boseman’s most iconic film role, he also portrayed Jackie Robinson, James Brown and Thurgood Marshall on the big screen.

Jacob Blake Handcuffed to Hospital Bed Even Though He’s Paralyzed, Dad Says

Jacob Blake’s dad says when he visited his son in the hospital Wednesday, he was handcuffed to the bed … even though he’s paralyzed from the waist down and unable to walk as a result of being brutally shot in the back seven times by a cop.

“I hate it that he was laying in that bed with the handcuff onto the bed,” Blake’s father, also named Jacob Blake, told the Chicago Sun-Times Thursday (Aug. 27), the day after he visited his son in the hospital. “He can’t go anywhere. Why do you have him cuffed to the bed?”

Officials haven’t announced any charges against Blake, and neither the Kenosha Police Department authorities, the Kenosha District Attorney’s Office, nor the Wisconsin Department of Justice responded to comment requests about his arrest or any pending charges.

Blake’s father said he hasn’t heard from the police department or Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian, though Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers did reach out, he said.

Gov. Evers was asked at a news conference Thursday if he had any concerns about Blake being handcuffed. “Hell yes,” he said, adding: “I would have no personal understanding why that would be necessary. I can’t imagine why that’s happening and I would hope that we would be able to find a … better way to have him get better and recover.”

Jacob Blake was brutally shot seven times in the back on Sunday (Aug. 23) after offers responded to a call about a domestic dispute. Blake’s attorney, Benjamin Crump, said he was simply trying to de-escalate a situation before police accosted him.

DOJ officials identified the cop who opened fire on Blake as Officer Rusten Sheskey, a seven-year veteran of the Kenosha Police Department.

During the incident, officers attempted to arrest Blake, and even deployed a Taser in an unsuccessful attempt to stop Blake and subdue him.

Officials said Blake then walked around the vehicle and opened the driver’s side door. While holding onto Blake’s shirt, Officer Sheskey fired his service weapon seven times “into Mr. Blake’s back,” officials said.

Blake’s three children—ages 3, 5 and 8—were inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

DOJ officials noted that Sheskey was the only officer on the scene who fired their weapon. Officials said during the investigation following the incident, Blake “admitted that he had a knife in his possession.”

After the shooting, authorities say they recovered a knife from the driver’s side floorboard of Blake’s vehicle, but no other weapons were found. All of the officers involved in the incident have since been placed on administrative leave.

Blake’s shooting has led to several days of unrest in Kenosha this week. Two protesters were shot and killed Tuesday night (Aug. 25), and another was injured. 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse from Illinois was charged with first-degree intentional homicide in connection to the shooting.

Blake’s dad says his son thought he was hallucinating when he went to visit him in the hospital Wednesday.

“I told him, ‘You thought Daddy wasn’t going to see my son?'” his father said. “He grabbed my hand, held it real tight and started weeping, telling me how much he loved me.”

Though his son’s eyes were swollen, the elder Jacob Blake said he “looked and sounded like” his son, and he’s just happy he’s alive.

“It was way more than fulfilling,” Jacob’s father said. “It was a feeling I can’t describe.”

Professional Tap Dancer Terry Crews Suggests Boycotting Atlanta Strip Club Magic City, Black Twitter Eats Him Alive

Terry Crews has his tap-dancing shoes laced up real tight today!

The actor who has now become best known for his c**ntastic social media statements has become a trending topic on Twitter once again, this time thanks to a tweet where he called for a boycott of the popular Atlanta strip club Magic City.

“BOYCOTT MAGIC CITY,” the actor turned professional tap dancer wrote. He also added” the hashtag “#blacklovematters” to the post, because of course, he did.

At this point, it seems like Terry Crews is determined to be on the wrong side of history. While the rest of the country is reeling from another unarmed Black man being brutally shot by police, the host of “America’s Got Talent” has chosen to put his focus on boycotting a strip club.

Crews’ inspiration behind the tweet isn’t completely known, however, it can be assumed that he’s taking a thinly veiled shot at the NBA strike and other peaceful protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, something that Crews does not support, as he feels the organization promotes “Black Supremacy” (whatever that is).

Black Twitter has peeped game, and they’re eating him alive for it, and rightfully so. Check out the responses to Crews’ tweet below:

Minneapolis Residents Accuse Cops of Shooting Black Man in the Head, Police Say He Killed Himself

Video footage has emerged on social media showing Minneapolis residents accusing police officers of fatally shooting a Black man in the head, while police contend the man died by suicide.

“Wow! Y’all shot him, bro! Are you f**king serious, bro?!? Y’all bogus as f**k!” a man can be heard shouting in one video as police stress that the man shot himself.

“We just seen you!” the man behind the camera replies. “We seen him drop right there! He ain’t shoot himself, bro! He gone, bro! He dead, bro! Y’all bogus as hell, bro!”

According to the StarTribune, the deceased man was wanted in the killing of another man in a downtown parking garage.

MPD spokesman John Elder said the man was on traveling on foot on Nicollet Mall between 8th and 9th street around 6 p.m. local time when police pulled up and he shot himself in the head.

“There is no question that this was a suicide and we will be releasing the video to answer any question of that,” Elder said, adding that several bystanders were present at the time of the shooting, and the incident was captured by several city cameras. He said authorities are in the process of releasing the footage to the public.

A number of local news reporters said they watched the surveillance footage showing the shooting, and it “appears to show a murder suspect die by suicide as officers were closing in on him.”

News of the man’s shooting death drew a large crowd of people, and they immediately started smashing windows of nearby businesses and police cruisers parked near the scene. Videos also showed looters rushing into stores.

Police say they were called around 2:10 p.m. to respond to a shooting near the parking ramp on 101 N. 9th St., where they found a victim dead on the ground level.

“The investigation reveals that two people were in a disagreement with him, one person pulled out a gun and shot him,” the MPD spokesman said. “We do not believe this was a random attack, but rather people that were familiar with each other, we do not believe there is a threat to the public.”

The suspect reportedly fled the scene and is believed to be the man who police are saying killed himself. His identity hasn’t been released yet.

A woman with the suspect also reportedly left the scene, but she was later found and has been detained for questioning.

The shooting happened as the city of Minneapolis is in a state of unrest following the May 24th killing of George Floyd by MPD officers.

Nearly four-hundred miles away in Kenosha, Wisconsin, 29-year-old Jacob Blake was shot in the back seven times by KPD officer Rusten Sheskey—a seven-year veteran with the department.

Blake survived the shooting, but was left paralyzed from the waist down, according to his father. His shooting has sparked a new round of protests across the country against systemic racism and police brutality.

Rusten Sheskey ID’d as Kenosha Cop Who Shot Jacob Blake in the Back 7 Times While He Was Walking Away

Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Justice have identified the cop who shot Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin as Officer Rusten Sheskey, a seven-year veteran of the Kenosha Police Department.

DOJ officials said Kenosha police were sent to a residence near 28th St. and 40th Ave. after a woman called to report that her boyfriend was present and wasn’t supposed to be on the premises. The woman also complained that Blake had taken her keys and “refused to give them back.”

Eyewitnesses said Blake had pulled his car up near “six or seven women shouting at each other on the sidewalk” and “Blake did not say anything to the women.” According to Blake’s attorney, Benjamin Crump, he was “attempting to de-escalate a fight between two other people who officers arrived at the scene.”

Blake was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, where he remained as of Wednesday. His father said he’s paralyzed from the waist down and doctors say he will likely never walk again.

Videos showing the shooting from multiple angles have since gone viral, fueling protests that have been going on across the country since the May 25th killing of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police.

The investigation into Blake’s shooting is being conducted by the FBI, Wisconsin State Patrol and Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department. The officers involved have all been placed on administrative leave.

17-Year-Old Kenosha Shooter Kyle Rittenhouse Pictured in Front Row of Donald Trump Rally in January

Kyle Rittenhouse—the 17-year-old white supremacist suspected of murdering two people and injuring another during Jacob Blake protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin—was photographed in the front row of a Donald Trump rally back in January.

Kyle Howard Rittenhouse’s social media pages were filled with photos and videos showing him posing with weapons, posts supporting “Blue Lives Matter,” and comments speaking of misogyny and white supremacy.

Wednesday evening (Aug. 26), after Rittenhouse’s was arrested, BuzzFeed News uncovered an image showing the teen just feet away from the president, in the front row, to the left of the podium.

Rittenhouse also shared a video on TikTok from the event, which was held at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

More via BuzzFeed News:

Seven months later, Rittenhouse went with his rifle to the third night of Black Lives Matter protests in Kenosha after police shot Blake, a Black man who is now paralyzed as a result, according to his family.

Rittenhouse attended as an armed vigilante, supposedly assisting police and protecting property in an unofficial capacity but instead he prowled the protest with a gun. Videos captured him fraternizing with law enforcement and attempting to get their attention.

By the end of the evening, he was considered a fugitive on the run. He was arrested Wednesday morning in Antioch, Illinois, and is expected to be extradited to Wisconsin to face charges of first-degree intentional homicide.

Rittenhouse’s mother did not respond to a request for comment. The Lake County Public Defender’s office, who represented him in court today, told BuzzFeed News it does not comment on active cases.

Kyle Rittenhouse pictured with his mother in an undated photo.

Wednesday’s arrest record from Antioch Police said that Rittenhouse “fled the state of Wisconsin with the intent to avoid prosecution for the offense.”

According to public records, Rittenhouse lived in Antioch, which is about 20 miles away from Kenosha, with his mother and siblings and worked as a lifeguard at the local YMCA.

A close look at his social media accounts and background show a teenager obsessed with law enforcement who also identified as a strong supporter of President Donald Trump and “Blue Lives Matter,” a pro-law enforcement movement that evolved in response to Black Lives Matter.

His connections to law enforcement, however, go beyond his vocal support of police on social media.

In a statement to BuzzFeed News on Wednesday, the Grayslake Police Department confirmed that Rittenhouse was a former member of the Lindenhurst, Grayslake, Hainesville Police Department’s Public Safety Cadet Program.

According to a description of the program that has been recently removed from the department’s official website, the program “offers boys and girls the opportunity to explore a career in law enforcement” through “hands-on career activities,” such as riding along with officers on patrol and firearms training.

Along with the page describing the Public Safety Cadet Program, the organization’s official Facebook account was deleted after images from 2018 of a boy in a police uniform identified as “Kyle” began to circulate online. BuzzFeed News has not been able to confirm that the boy in the image is Rittenhouse.

Rittenhouse was also a Fire Protection Cadet with the Antioch Fire Department. Its chief, Jon Cokefair, confirmed Rittenhouse was part of the program, which he said has been discontinued since March due to COVID-19.

The program, taught by firefighters, introduces high school students to a career in firefighting. “Our weapons are axes and fire hoses. We don’t have any kind of firearms training or anything,” said Cokefair, who declined to comment on Rittenhouse’s charges.

On his now-deleted Facebook page, Rittenhouse is seen posing with an AR-15 style rifle above the words, “Blue Lives Matter.” Nearly all of his public Facebook posts are related to the movement, including two posts in memory of officers who were killed in the line of duty.

On Dec. 22, 2018, he asked his friends to donate to “Humanizing the Badge” a “nonprofit organization seeking to forge stronger relationships between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve.”

His social media pages indicated he had access to at least two different types of guns before Tuesday. A video posted to one of his two TikTok accounts on July 21 shows him assembling what appears to be the rifle pictured in his Facebook profile image.

In two videos posted Aug. 13, he and a friend are shown firing a weapon he identifies as a 12 gauge shotgun. In these videos, Rittenhouse is wearing a backward cap featuring an image of the American flag that appears to be the same hat worn by the shooter.

Videos taken on Tuesday night showed Rittenhouse running through the streets holding a large gun weaving through protesters, who’d gathered to demand justice for Blake. Right before midnight, Kenosha police said three people were shot on the corner of 63rd Street and Sheridan Road, and noted that “investigators are aware of the social media video being circulated regarding the incident.”

In one video clip, a law enforcement official in an armored truck is seen handing over a bottle of water to Rittenhouse. In a separate video, Rittenhouse says he was “pepper sprayed by a person in the crowd” and that he was ready to defend property.

After the alleged shootings, video shows Rittenhouse walking directly towards four police vehicles, holding his weapon and his arms raised. People were shouting at police that he had just shot someone. The police vehicles drove past Rittenhouse and did not detain him.

When asked about the video Wednesday, Sheriff Beth said that in those situations police have “incredible tunnel vision” because of the loud noises —”there’s screaming, hollering and chanting”—and could not explain why they did not detain him.

During a press conference on Wednesday, Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth said that he’d been asked by a group of armed vigilantes to deputize citizens to allow them to help law enforcement during protests. Referencing the shootings that killed two people, Beth said, “I think they were part of this group that wanted me to deputize them.”

Court records state that Rittenhouse made an appearance at Lake County, Illinois Circuit Court Wednesday after his arrest. He will appear in court again on Friday (Aug. 28) for a hearing about extraditing him to Wisconsin to formally answer to his first-degree intentional homicide charges.

“Kyrie Was Right!”: Twitter Demands Apology for Kyrie Irving After NBA Postpones Playoff Games Amid Jacob Blake Shooting Protests

Back in June, it was reported that NBA superstar Kyrie Irving had made it known that was not in support of the league’s plan to restart the season in Orlando, Florida because he wanted to focus on systemic racism and racial injustice amid the Black Lives Matter protests going on in the country in the wake of rampant police killings across the country. (Not to mention, we are in the middle of a pandemic.)

“I don’t support going into Orlando,” Irving reportedly said in a conference call with over 80 fellow NBA players, including Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell, Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard. “I’m not with the systematic racism and the bulls**t. Something smells a little fishy.”

Shams Charania of The Athletic also reported that Irving said that he’s “willing to give up everything” for social reform.

Since then, the NBA decided to resume the season in what is now known as the “NBA Bubble.”

But now that the league has decided to postpone upcoming playoff games amid protests following the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Twitter is pointing out that Kyrie Irving made this call a long time ago and deserves an apology from everyone who said he was wrong and crazy for wanting to outright cancel the 2019-2020 NBA season.

17-Year-Old Kyle Rittenhouse Arrested for Murder After Shooting & Killing 2 Kenosha Protesters

Kyle Rittenhouse—the 17-year-old who was identified as the suspected shooter who allegedly killed two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin Tuesday evening—has been taken into police custody and is facing homicide charges.

According to public records from the Lake County, Illinois Clerk of Courts obtained by the Daily Dot, Rittenhouse was arrested in his hometown of Antioch, Illinois on Wednesday (Aug. 26) and has been charged with murder in the Kenosha killings.

The criminal complaint also states that Rittenhouse was labeled a “fugitive of justice” after he “fled the state of Wisconsin with intent to avoid prosecution” for the fatal shooting.

Rittenhouse’s arrest comes after it was reported early Wednesday morning that at least three people had been shot—two fatally—amid the Kenosha protests.

According to a media release from police, two people were killed and one was hurt with “serious, but non-life threatening injuries” following a shooting incident Tuesday evening in the area of 63rd Street and Sheridan Road.

Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth said early Wednesday that both the suspected shooter and one of the people killed were white.

The shooter has since been identified as 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who is described as an alleged white supremacist and part of a vigilante militia group. He was seen with a long gun walking down a street in Kenosha Tuesday night (Aug. 26) before he opened fire on people protesting the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

Footage from the protests showed a gunman in the middle of the street brandishing a semi-automatic rifle before shooting at multiple people.

Eyewitnesses said the gunman was then allowed to walk right past police without being arrested, and in one particular video, protesters can be heard shouting at police that he was the gunman as officers drove by to tend to the victims.

There was also unverified footage shared on social media purporting to show Rittenhouse “being offered water from the Kenosha police,” who allegedly told him: “We appreciate you being here.”

Another video showed a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head after being shot allegedly by Rittenhouse.

In another video, after he had already shot someone, a man who appeared to be Rittenhouse could be seen being chased by protesters who were trying to subdue him. He is then seen falling to the ground before unloading his weapon, striking at least two people.

Then, in a “shocking” turn of events, as police swarm the area in patrol cars and fortified vehicles, the gunman—with his weapon still clearly visible around his chest—puts his hands in the air, but the police vehicles all drive right by him as the crowd screams that he’s the shooter.

Watch below (BE WARNED, SOME OF THE FOOTAGE IS VERY GRAPHIC):

This is a stark contrast from Sunday’s (Aug. 23) shooting of the Black and unarmed man Jacob Blake, who was shot in the back seven times by an officer as he tried to get into his car. Blake is now paralyzed from the waist down, according to his father.

As video footage about Tuesday night’s shooting circulated online, social media sleuths identified the potential suspect as Rittenhouse.

His Facebook page is no longer available to the public, but screenshots show that he posted a number of “Blue Lives Matter” and pro-police statements. Others who saw the teen’s social media pages before they were taken down reported seeing misogynist and white supremacist comments.

One image circulating of Rittenhouse (in the header image above this article) showed the teen carrying a rifle similar to what was allegedly used during the shooting.

“This morning Kenosha County authorities issued an arrest warrant for the individual responsible for the incident, charging him with First Degree Intentional Homicide,” the Antioch Police Department said in a press release Wednesday.

“The suspect in this incident, a 17-year-old Antioch resident, is currently in custody of the Lake County Judicial System pending an extradition hearing to transfer custody from Illinois to Wisconsin.”

Rittenhouse was interviewed prior to the shooting Tuesday night and was asked why he was attending the protest.

“So people are getting injured and our job is to protect this business,” Rittenhouse said while posted up in front of a boarded-up building in a video posted by a Daily Caller reporter. “And part of my job is to also help people. If there is somebody hurt I’m running into harm’s way. That’s why I have my rifle because I need to protect myself obviously. I also have my med kit.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth confirmed to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that armed citizens have been patrolling the streets of Kenosha, Wisconsin, in response to the looting, burning, and other damage to buildings and cars in the area from protesters. He wouldn’t confirm whether the gunman from Tuesday night’s shooting was among them.

“They’re a militia,” Beth said. “They’re like a vigilante group.”

Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, who is Black, slammed authorities for allowing armed gunmen to walk the streets with rifles without facing any repercussions.

“How many times across this country do you see armed gunmen, protesting, walking into state Capitols, and everybody just thinks it’s OK?” Barnes said in an interview with Democracy Now. “People treat that like it’s some kind of normal activity that people are walking around with assault rifles.”

Barnes continued: “You know, in many instances, these people have been led on by various conspiracy theories that have ruminated on the internet, and these people are demanding to have their country back. And to assume that nothing bad is going to happen, to assume that these people are up to—or, have the most fine intentions, is completely ridiculous.”

Rittenhouse has been assigned a public defender and faces charges of “first-degree intentional homicide”. He’s expected to appear in court on Friday.
