Tom Hanks & Wife Rita Wilson Test Positive for Coronavirus

Tom Hanks announced Wednesday (Mar. 11) that he and his wife Rita Wilson have both tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus), making them the first A-Listers to go public with a diagnosis.

According to TMZ, Tom and Rita were filming an Elvis Presley movie in Australia, and after experiencing cold symptoms, the couple decided to get tested for coronavirus, with the results returning positive.

Hanks took to Instagram just moments ago with the following statement:

Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.

Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?

We’ll keep the world posted and updated.

Take care of yourselves!

Earlier today, the World Health Organization officially announced that the coronavirus outbreak had been upgraded from an epidemic to a pandemic.

World Health Organization Officially Declares Coronavirus Outbreak a Pandemic

The World Health Organization has officially declared the COVID-19 virus (best known as coronavirus) a worldwide pandemic as the disease spreads across the world and the death toll mounts.

Via Yahoo! News:

As the COVID-19’s casualty count mounted, the organization had resisted characterizing the disease as a pandemic.

Yet the organization finally relented, with worldwide infections well above 100,000 and the death toll spiking above 4,000.

The disease is threatening to overtake Europe and the United States, even as infections in Asia fall from their worst peaks. With the economic and business toll mounting, global markets have been engulfed in waves of panic selling.

“We have therefore made the assessment that #COVID19 can be characterized as a pandemic,” said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the World Health Organization’s director general.

Major benchmarks sank to new session lows in volatile trading after the declaration.

A disease outbreak is considered an epidemic if it only affects a small number of people within a short period of time.

Once the disease spreads across several continents and affects a large number of people, it’s then called a pandemic.

NeNe Leakes Reveals Husband Gregg Recently Cheated With One of Her Employees, Source Claims NeNe Has Been Dating Mystery Man

In the last Real Housewives of Atlanta episode, NeNe Leakes took shots at Kenya Moore’s marriage after she and her husband Marc Daly publicly announced they were filing for divorce.

NeNe proudly boasted that she still had a husband (Gregg Leakes). But exactly how solid is their marriage?

Page Six is exclusively reporting that NeNe and Gregg have chosen to have an open marriage after NeNe discovered that Gregg had an inappropriate relationship with one of her clothing boutique employees.

The news outlet also reports that NeNe struck up a relationship of her own with a mystery man last year.

A source tells Page Six NeNe started dating man named Rodney in May 2019 around the same time she was opening up a Swagg Boutique location at the MGM National Harbor Resort and Casino in Maryland.

“She spends a lot of time in Maryland not only because of this boutique, but also because of her side guy,” the source said.

“She flaunts her relationship with him around openly like they’re together.” the source added.

The source says Rodney would pick NeNe up from the store, take her out for romantic dinners, and they would “dance the night away” at clubs at the casino.

Page Six‘s exclusive report comes after NeNe, herself, admitted on the podcast Lip Service on Monday (Mar. 9) that she would be fine with Gregg having a side piece as long as she never found out about it.

NeNe said:

“If Gregg wanted to go be with somebody right now, I would say go right on. Why am I going to try and keep him from doing something that he wants to do? Then I have to make a choice myself — if I want to stay with him or not — and I probably would stay with him. I do what I want anyway … I’m in New York, he’s in Georgia, so whatever he’s doing, I don’t need to know about it.”

In promos for the current season of RHOA, NeNe is seen asking Gregg how he feels about open marriages. However, this storyline has yet to play out on the show.

The topic was apparently brought up after rumors began around Atlanta that Gregg was cheating on NeNe with one of her employees.

According to Page Six‘s source, Gregg reached out to NeNe’s store manager Juanita Marshall “looking for companionship” because NeNe was always traveling and was distant.

The source even saw flirty texts messages between the two.

“Oh my gosh, you’re so beautiful. I never saw anyone so beautiful as you,” Gregg allegedly texted to Marshall.

“NeNe was always gone doing her own thing, so he gave [Juanita] an offer,” the source continued. “If she played her cards right, he would pay for her mortgage, and give her a monthly allowance.”

NeNe called and confronted Gregg once she got wind of the rumors. He admitted the indiscretion, but stated it was “a long time ago.

“NeNe said, ‘You’re done,’ and hung up the phone,” the source said, adding that NeNe fired Marshall and anyone else who knew about the affair and made them all sign non-disclosure agreements.

Marshall denies that she ever had an affair with Gregg.

“Gregg never propositioned me,” she told Page Six in a statement. “I was a store manager, so I talked to him just like her other managers from her other locations talk to him.”

She also says that she wasn’t fired, but voluntarily quit NeNe’s store.

“I left willingly because at the time it was just out of hand,” Marshall explained. “It was too much drama for me, so I decided not to stay. I walked away from the position.”

However, during Monday’s Lip Service interview, NeNe openly talked about confronting Gregg about the cheating rumors.

She said she asked one question about the rumor and he went “insane,” which she interpreted as guilt. And he did admit to privately taking to Marshall because NeNe “was not there for him to talk to.”

NeNe and Gregg have been open about their recent marital struggles, admitting during last year’s RHOA reunion that they were sleeping in separate bedrooms and had discussed divorce.

At the time, the issue was centered around Gregg’s treatment toward NeNe while he was battling cancer and the toll it took on NeNe to be his caretaker.

NeNe and Gregg first married in 1997. They briefly divorced in 2011, but remarried in 2013. They share one child together.

Federal Prosecutor & Wife Found Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide Just 4 Months After Wedding

Authorities were called to a home in Granite Bay, CA on Sunday (Mar. 8) after a mother hadn’t heard from her daughter in a while. That’s where they found the dead bodies of a newly married couple, 43-year-old Timothy Delgado and his wife, 45-year-old Tamara Delgado.

The pair, which had only been married for a few months, died from bullet wounds in what authorities are now investigating as a murder-suicide.

Placer County Sheriff’s Office investigators believe that Timothy shot and killed his wife before using that same gun to take his own life.

Before his death, he had been serving as a prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office where he mainly worked narcotics and firearms cases, according to AP.

The U.S. attorney’s office is cooperating with the investigation, releasing a statement that read: “We were informed that Mr. Delgado and his wife were found deceased in their home. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating with the assistance of the FBI, and we are fully cooperating with the investigation.”

While there is no clear motive for the horrendous act, those who knew the couple are shocked.

Friends of Tamara spoke to reporters, saying: “My tears are for Tamara and losing her. My tears are for the situation. But mostly my tears are for her son because I know him so well.”

Others spoke out as well, with one friend who asked to remain anonymous saying of Tamara’s relationship with her children, “The love that a mom gives to her children and they adored her. They just adored her. And she’s gone.”

The couple leaves behind two children, one daughter and one son.

Harvey Weinstein Sentenced to 23 Years in New York State Prison for Rape & Sexual Assault

Harvey Weinstein will spend the next 23 years in a New York State prison after being sentenced by Supreme Court judge James Burke Wednesday morning (Mar. 11), The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Weinstein begged the judge for mercy, asking for a 5-year prison sentence Monday when his lawyers filed legal documents laying out a number of personal matters they wanted to be considered before sentencing.

Weinstein’s legal team cited Ronan Farrow’s New Yorker article as one of those personal matters, saying: “Since the New Yorker article was published in 2017, Mr. Weinstein’s life has been destroyed. His wife divorced him, he was fired from The Weinstein Company, and in short, he lost everything.”

The lawyers went on to describe Weinstein’s “fall from grace [as] historic, perhaps unmatched in the age of social media,” and asked the judge to consider the fact that he has no prior criminal record. They also pointed out Weinstein’s charitable contributions, including millions of dollars he donated for 9/11 first responders.

Weinstein was convicted on February 24th of committing a criminal sexual act in the first degree and third-degree rape.

Weinstein faced a maximum 29-year prison sentence and prosecutors were pushing for a harsh sentence, claiming the disgraced Hollywood mogul showed zero remorse.

He’ll likely be sent to a maximum-security prison in upstate New York to serve his sentence. He’d been staying in an infirmary unit at Rikers Island while awaiting today’s sentencing.

In addition to the 23-year sentence, Weinstein will also be formally registered as a sex offender.

WNBA Star Maya Moore Helps Overturn Conviction of Man Falsely Imprisoned for Over 20 Years

Maya Moore has consistently been one of the best players in the WNBA, earning the Rookie of the Year title back in 2011, four WNBA championships, and two Olympic gold medals.

However, these days she’s making an even bigger impact off the court by fighting for criminal justice reform.

Specifically, the 30-year-old star of the Minnesota Lynx has been fighting to overturn the guilty verdict of 39-year-old Jonathan Irons, who has been behind bars since 1997 after being convicted of burglarizing a home and assaulting the homeowner with a gun.

Irons, who was only 16 at the time, claimed his innocence, but he was ultimately found guilty by an all-white jury despite zero evidence that he did it other than being identified by the homeowner.

In fact, authorities failed to turn over fingerprint evidence that would’ve helped Irons’ defense, according to Cole County Circuit Judge Daniel Green.

He was tried as an adult and sentenced to 50 years in prison, but he has maintained his innocence ever since the conviction.

Moore became involved in the case when she met Irons in 2007 during a visit to the Jefferson City Correctional Facility where he was imprisoned, and after talking to him, she quickly decided to intervene.

Now, more than a decade after meeting and continuing to fight the conviction, Moore and Irons have finally found success. On Monday (Mar. 9), Judge Green overturned the conviction of Irons.

Moore, who was in attendance when the Judge made his ruling, told reporters: “It felt so surreal. We finally have justice. I was just thinking, ‘Did this really happen? Did it?'”

Irons also could not suppress his elation at the news, saying: “It feels like I can just breathe, like the weight of the world is off of me, like I have the chance to live.”

When asked about Moore’s participation in helping to fight his case, Irons put it simply: “She saved my life.”

Despite the victory, the fight still isn’t over for Irons and Moore. The state of Missouri can still challenge the Judge’s decision to overturn the conviction or retry the case in the next 45 days.

Charlie Sheen Vehemently Denies Corey Feldman’s Claim He Raped Corey Haim: “Sick, Twisted & Outlandish Allegations Never Occurred. Period.”

Charlie Sheen has outright denied a claim made by Corey Feldman in his new documentary accusing the “Two and a Half Men” star of sexually assaulting Corey Haim.

Feldman’s (My) Truth: The Rape of Two Coreys documentary premiered in Los Angeles Monday night (Mar. 9), and in it, allegations that Charlie Sheen raped Corey Haim as a child resurfaced with shocking descriptions of the acts.

The documentary’s creator, Corey Feldman, says in the film that Haim, a longtime friend, told him that when he was 13, “Charlie bent me over in between two trailers and put Crisco oil on my butt and raped me in broad daylight. Anybody could have walked by, anybody could have seen it.”

Feldman tears up as he recounts the events he claims Haim told him.

This isn’t the first time there have been allegations of sexual misconduct between Sheen and Haim when they were teenagers on the set of the film Lucas.

The new documentary has similar vibes to HBO’s documentary Leaving Neverland, which chronicled allegations of child rape against Michael Jackson.

Much like the debate following that documentary series’ release, there is still much debate as to how true the claims are.

Sheen, himself vehemently denies everything Feldman says in the new film, releasing a statement that says: “These sick, twisted and outlandish allegations never occurred. Period. I would urge everyone to consider the source and read what his mother Judy Haim has to say.”

Sheen is referring to Corey Haim’s mother, who has denied the sexual assault claims in previous interviews.

“My son never mentioned Charlie. We never talked about Charlie. It was all made up,” she said. “If my son was here to hear all of this he would throw up.”

She added that she believes her late son would’ve told her about such actions, and that Feldman has “lost his mind.” She said that she’s unhappy that Feldman released the film on the 10th anniversary of her son’s passing.

Corey Haim passed away in 2010 from pneumonia at the age of 38, but he and Feldman were good friends growing up as they worked on multiple films together.

Over that time, Feldman says that Haim “went into great detail” when describing the alleged rape in 1986 when he was 13 years old and Sheen was 19.

Another actor, Dominick Brascia, added further confusion to the story in an interview with People, saying that “Haim told me he had sex with Sheen when they filmed ‘Lucas.’ He told me they smoked pot and had sex. He said they had anal sex. Haim said after it happened Sheen became very cold and rejected him. When Corey wanted to fool around again, Charlie was not interested.”

As of now, Sheen hasn’t decided whether or not he will take legal action against Feldman regarding the allegations.

Floyd Mayweather’s Ex & Mother of 3 Kids Josie Harris Found Dead in Her Car

Josie Harris—Floyd Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend, whom he has three children with—was found dead at her home in Valencia, California Monday night (Mar. 9).

Police were called to the home around 9:30 p.m. and when they arrived, they found Harris, 40, unresponsive in her car. She was pronounced dead at the scene, TMZ reports.

Officials said they don’t suspect any foul play and the case is being treated as a death investigation and not a homicide.

Josie and Mayweather dated between 1995 and 2010, and their relationship was tumultuous, to say the least.

Mayweather served two months in jail after he was convicted of attacking her back in a 2010 domestic violence incident.

While Harris claimed she was abused on at least six different occasions, the criminal case was based on a September 2010 incident in which Harris said Floyd entered her Vegas home without her permission while she was sleeping, yanked her out of bed by her hair and then beat her in front of their children.

Harris said the former couple’s oldest son, Koraun, was able to sneak out of the home and alert a security guard who called police.

Mayweather denied the allegations in a 2015 interview with Katie Couric, saying: “Did I restrain a woman that was on drugs? Yes, I did. So if they say that’s domestic violence, then, you know what? I’m guilty. I’m guilty of restraining someone.”

Harris, outraged by the interview, later sued Mayweather for more than $20 million for defamation and the case was still ongoing at the time of her death.

The Blast reported that a court date had been set for December 7th, 2020.

Alexis Skyy Reveals She Was Kidnapped & Forced Into Sex Trafficking at 15: “I Was Just Basically Sold to Whoever, Highest Bidder”

Alexis Skyy is ready to open up, for the first time, about her traumatic experience of being kidnapped when she was 15 and forced into sex trafficking by a man 20 years her senior.

Skyy will return to Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta for its upcoming ninth season. In a clip she shared from the show’s trailer, Skyy reveals she was sex trafficked.

“I was just basically sold to whoever, highest bidder. I had to forcefully do it or he would say he was gonna kill me. I didn’t want to die.”

Skyy shared the LHHATL clip on Instagram and shared her experience in greater detail, even revealing that this will be the first time her mom, dad, and family will hear what she went through.

“I been so afraid for many years to talk about any of it, specifically in fear of a possible revenge, harassment & lord knows what else,” she explained.

“I was only 15 years old when I was kidnapped & forced into human trafficking by a guy 20 years older than me!! Every single day.. for 2 months… he would beat on me, threaten to kill me, my family & etc!!! Multiple times he held a loaded gun to my face, abused & raped me!! Also forcing me to have sexual intercourse [with] who would pay!!!”

“I was a very young girl who was taken advantage of & abused. Many nights I just knew the end was near,” Skyy continued.

Skyy says she was saved by a man that she has never seen again or been able to properly thank.

Skyy is coming forward with her story now because she’s heard similar stories from young girls and wants to be a role model for them.

“I gotta be a role model to these young girls!! If it’s something I can say or do that will help or save some of these girls from making the mistakes I did & help bring awareness to the danger these girls face… I HAVE to face my fears!!”

Skyy did not want to share too much on Instagram because the harrowing experience will be a major part of her storyline on LHHATL and viewers will get a better understanding of the situation.

Season 9 of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta premieres March 16th on VH1.

Family of Missouri’s First Coronavirus Patient Broke Quarantine for Father-Daughter Dance

Chief Greg Brown, regional mutual aid coordinator for St. Louis County, sits at the head of the table among fire and EMS leaders for a briefing at the St. Louis County Office of Emergency Management on Sunday, March 8, 2020, after the first coronavirus case was confirmed Saturday in St. Louis County. As a growing number of schools, universities, and other institutions issue health warnings amid the coronavirus outbreak, a community in St. Louis County, Missouri is facing concerns of the virus spreading after a family decided to break their self-quarantine to attend a father-daughter dance.

The family was asked to remain quarantined after it was discovered the 20-year-old older daughter had contracted the virus after flying back to the U.S. from Italy.

When she arrived back in the States and realized that she was demonstrating symptoms characteristic of coronavirus, she called health officials who confirmed her suspicions shortly after.

One of the main causes of the coronavirus’s continual spreading is when people who are infected leave their homes and interact with other people.

This exposes the entire community to the virus, which is particularly dangerous for the older population. That’s why government officials urge anyone displaying symptoms to remain quarantined at home.

A local family, however, did not follow those instructions. The father, instead, decided to take his youngest daughter to a dinner-dance at her school despite potentially having already contracting coronavirus themselves.

According to a statement released by Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School, the father and daughter were unaware of the positive test result of their family member until after they were already at the dance. When they found out, they left immediately.

However, that doesn’t mitigate the risk for everyone else who attended, and now the father has been forced “to stay home or they will issue a formal quarantine that will require him and rest of his family to stay home by the force of law,” according to St. Louis County Executive Sam Page.

The statement by the school also tried to alleviate concerns for parents and students alike.

“Based on the conversations…with medical experts today, the likelihood of any…students contracting the virus is extraordinarily low. Still, under an abundance of caution, we have asked them to stay home from school until we have more information.”

School officials are urging anyone who attended the dance to seek out medical care to confirm whether or not they’ve also contracted the virus.

Graphic Video Shows Asian Man Being Stabbed in NYC By Masked Assailant in First “Possible Coronavirus-Related Hate Crime”

Horrifying footage has surfaced online showing an Asian man being stabbed repeatedly on a Brooklyn sidewalk according to the New York Post.

The vicious attack, which took place Saturday (Mar. 7) around 7 p.m., left 48-year-old Li Qianyang in critical condition.

Qianyang was walking down the sidewalk when an unknown, masked assailant ran up behind him and proceeded to attack him with a knife.

The attacker got on top of Qianyang, who tried to fend him off, and proceeded to stab him a total of 13 times across his back, head, arms, and chest. One of the thrusts even struck Qianyang in the heart.

The entire incident was captured on a cellphone by a bystander, and it shows another passerby attempting to intervene before being chased away by the armed suspect who fled the scene.

“One guy was chasing the other guys, and he caught up with him outside,” a witness told reporters. “He stabbed him so many times, I’m amazed he survived.”

Authorities quickly responded to the scene and rushed the victim to the Lutheran Medical Center. He underwent emergency surgery, but there are no guarantees he will recover from this senseless act.

Because both the victim and the suspect were wearing medical face masks, police sources initially claimed the attack was being investigated as a “possible coronavirus-related hate crime.”

However, NYPD officials have said that there is “no nexus between the attack and the coronavirus.”

Texas Mom Convicted of Capital Murder for Stabbing & Beheading 5-Year-Old Daughter Because She “Asked for Cereal”

A mother in Texas has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after being found guilty of killing her 5-year-old daughter and stabbing her father-in-law.

27-year-old Krystle Villanueva was convicted of capital murder of a child younger than 10 and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Thursday (Mar. 5) in Hays County, Texas.

Villanueva was arrested on January 5th, 2017 after police were called to her Kyle, Texas home where she lived with her 5-year-old daughter, Giovanna Hernandez, the child’s father, and his parents.

Giovanna’s grandfather, Eustorgio Arellano, called 911 after Villanueva attacked him without warning and stabbed him in the back and head. Arellano was able to escape, but Giovanna was left in the home with her mother.

A SWAT team arrived at the scene and proceeded as a hostage situation. However, they stormed the home after Villanueva told them via phone that she had killed her daughter because she “asked for cereal.”

Police found Giovanna in a bedroom “stabbed to death and decapitated.” Villanueva was freshly showered and nude in the front room of the home.

Villanueva’s defense team argued she was not guilty by reason of insanity, stating that she believed her daughter and father-in-law were clones.

District Attorney Wes Mau said in a statement:

“Ms. Villanueva claimed that, at the time of the attacks, she had been under the delusional belief that her daughter and her father-in-law had been replaced by clones and had to be killed to bring back her real family members.”

While Villanueva does have a history mental illness, the jury rejected the insanity plea after it was revealed that treatment of her mental health coincided with recreational drug use.

Villanueva also had alcohol and marijuana in her system at the time of her arrest.

“I’ve been in this line of work for over 43 years—1 years as a homicide detective,” Sheriff Gary Cutler told the Austin-American Statesman. “This is one of the worst cases I’ve ever seen and been a part of.”

“A case like this leaves an unforgettable mark on everyone involved, especially the child’s family,” added District Attorney Mau in a statement.

“Every law enforcement member who worked on this case will forever be traumatized by what Ms. Villanueva did to her innocent daughter.”

Atlanta Woman Killed by Utility Pole Right After Surviving Car Accident

An Atlanta community is in mourning following the loss of a woman who was involved in what officials are calling “a very freak accidental death” on Wednesday (Mar. 4).

26-year-old Keisha Edwards was driving with a male friend when their car collided with another vehicle. Everyone in the accident was fine, so they exited the vehicles to check on the damage.

As the drivers were talking, another vehicle being driven by an elderly woman crashed into a nearby telephone guidewire. The impact set off a reaction that led to a pole snapping in half and swinging in a pendulum motion.

The pole ended up striking Keisha, the passenger, and another driver who had stopped to help. The friend suffered a broken leg, the driver has a broken foot, but, unfortunately, Edwards did not survive the impact.

“When the pole broke, it became a pendulum,” said Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan. “This is a very freak accidental death.”

The identity of the elderly woman who struck the wire has not been released, and at this time it is unclear what caused the accident or whether she’ll be charged for Edwards’ death.

While commenting on the unfortunate death, Columbus Police Lt. Lance Deaton said that it was a perfect storm of bad luck.

“Basically, it was a one-car accident—car vs. pole—and everything you would want to happen happened,” he told reporters. “All the right things. They appeared to be okay, someone stopped to help.”

Edwards’ body was transported to Decatur, GA for an autopsy, and when the news broke, it sent the community into mourning.

Azriel Clary Tells Feds R. Kelly Forced Her to Eat Her Own Feces & He Recorded It

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, even more disturbing allegations about R. Kelly’s abuse and treatment of young women are coming to light.

In a teaser for an upcoming documentary, Kelly’s former girlfriend Azriel Clary, 22, claims that the singer once formed her to eat her own feces while he recorded the act.

“He has a video of me—he made me do this video, actually—doing a number two in a cup and then eating it out of a cup.”

Clary revealed this information to a federal agent via a phone call. Clary—who is helping the feds in their case against Kelly—is referring to new evidence feds have that may be presented in the case.

The clip also includes a phone call between Clary and Kelly, in which she sternly tells the singer that their relationship is over.

“It’s done, it’s done, it’s over, you may not even make it to trial. I’m so sorry for you,” she says while Kelly is heard sobbing on the other line.

“I’m sorry, I really did love you and you lied to me, you used me and you played me,” Clary continued.

“I love you,” Kelly responded.

The documentary, entitled Precedence, is produced by ASIS Entertainment and does not yet have an official release date.

Clary made headlines back in January when she moved out of Kelly’s Chicago Trump Tower condo and got into a physical fight with one of Kelly’s most loyal live-in girlfriends, Joycelyn Savage. The altercation was caught on video and went viral.

During the altercation, Clary claimed that both Kelly and Savage took advantage of her sexually when she was a minor. Clary moved in with Kelly when she was 17.

Clary has since reunited with her family and is seeking therapy to recover from the abuse and trauma she suffered while living with Kelly.

Meanwhile, R. Kelly remains behind bars awaiting trials of two separate federal cases and is facing several charges of sexual abuse of minors and child pornography.

He pleaded not guilty to a string of new charges earlier this week which included child pornography, conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government, and allegations by a new accuser referred to as “Minor 6.”

Prosecutors say another alleged victim is expected to publicly come forward in the next few weeks.

“Barbershop,” “Think Like A Man” Director Sued After 2-Year-Old Boy Fell Into His Hot Tub & Died

Director Tim Story is being sued by the parents of a 2-year-old boy who tragically died after falling into the director’s hot tub.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Miguel Raygoza-Castillo is suing Story for an incident that occurred at the director’s Hollywood home on November 18th when his son, I’M fell unto an unfenced hot tub.

Raygoza-Castillo claims Story violated several California state safety laws because the hot tub was not properly fenced, there were no alarms to detect when someone falls into the hot tub, and Story did not have any alarms on the back door leading to the hot tub area.

I’M was severely injured and hospitalized for four days. His parents ultimately decided to take him off life support.

Raygoza-Castillo and his wife are suing for damages (medical, funeral, and burial expenses) and for the emotional distress of losing a child.

Story is best known for directing films like Barbershop, and the Think Like A Man and Ride Along.

Alabama Executes Nathaniel Woods, Man Convicted in Killing of 3 Cops Who Were Shot By Someone Else

A man convicted in the 2004 killings of three police officers who were shot by another man was executed Thursday evening in Alabama.

Inmate Nathaniel Woods, 43, was pronounced dead at 9:01 p.m. CST Thursday following a lethal injection at the state prison in Atmore, authorities said. The inmate had no last words before the chemicals began flowing.

The execution came after the U.S. Supreme Court issued a temporary stay to consider last-minute appeals and then denied the inmate’s petitions. It also came after Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey told Woods’ attorney she had denied a request for clemency.

Woods and Kerry Spencer were convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death in the slayings of the three Birmingham officers.

The officers’ deaths in a hail of gunfire rocked Alabama’s largest city in 2004. Carlos Owen, Harley A. Chisolm III and Charles R. Bennett died while trying to serve a misdemeanor domestic assault warrant on Woods at a suspected drug house.

Prosecutors said Spencer was the triggerman in the slaying, opening fire on the officers with a high-powered rifle inside the apartment, but Woods was convicted as an accomplice.

Supporters, including the son of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., waged a last-minute appeal to stop the execution as the case drew national attention. Supporters argued that Spencer said he was the sole person responsible for the shootings and that Woods received an unfair trial in 2005.

“He is actually innocent,” Woods’ sister, Pamela Woods, had told reporters outside the prison earlier Thursday.

“Kerry Spencer, the actual shooter, has stated many times that he did it on his own with no help for anyone.” Spencer told The Appeal in an article about the case that Woods was “100% innocent.”

“Killing this African American man, whose case appears to have been strongly mishandled by the courts, could produce an irreversible injustice. Are you willing to allow a potentially innocent man to be executed?” Martin Luther King III had written the state’s governor, Ivey.

Ivey denied clemency in the case. Ivey’s general counsel sent Woods’ attorneys a letter saying the governor’s review of the case determined “clemency for Mr. Woods at this hour is unwarranted.”

U.S. Sen. Doug Jones, a former federal prosecutor, tweeted before Thursday’s execution that he believed that “a delay is warranted to provide for a thorough review of all the facts and circumstances to truly ensure that justice is done.” Jones said he reached out to Ivey’s office with his concerns.

Testimony showed the officers approached a small house where Woods and Spencer were believed to deal drugs; at least two other people were also inside.

After talking to Woods through a back door, Owen and Chisholm entered. State lawyers wrote in court filings that Woods said he was surrendering to officers and soon after Spencer opened fire with a high-powered rifle.

Owen, 58, and Chisholm, 40, were found dead in the kitchen just inside a rear door, and Bennett, 33, was fatally shot near the front door. A fourth officer was wounded but survived.

Prosecutors argued Woods played a role in the slayings, and lured officers into the apartment.

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall had asked Ivey to let the execution proceed. “Although Woods was not the shooter, he was hardly an innocent bystander,” Marshall wrote in a letter to Ivey.

Woods’ lawyers unsuccessfully appealed his conviction, arguing he had ineffective counsel and that the trial had multiple errors, including the admission of song lyrics and drawings taken from his cell while he was awaiting trial.

State attorneys said that while Woods was awaiting trial, deputies found a drawing of a bullet-riddled police car in his jail cell and song lyrics about killing such as: “Haven’t you ever heard of a killa, I drop pigs like Kerry Spencer.”

Woods’ attorneys on Thursday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to stay the execution over what they said was a lack of information given to inmates when they had to decide whether nitrogen hypoxia—an execution method authorized but not yet implemented by the state—would be their preferred execution method. Woods didn’t pick a method.

Attorneys said inmates did not know that would affect the timing of their execution. The state is not scheduling executions for inmates who picked nitrogen because the state has not developed the method.

A Supreme Court stay temporarily delayed the execution plan to consider Woods’ final appeals. But the high court said about two hours later that the execution could proceed.

A separate stay request also was filed with the Supreme Court on Thursday night, arguing Woods had ineffective counsel for his trial and most of his appeal. It also was denied.

No execution date has been set for Spencer, who was convicted before Woods and is on death row.

The Supremes Singer Barbara Martin Dead at 76

Barbara Martin, one of the original members The Supremes, has died at the age of 76.

The sad news was first announced on Facebook by Mary Wilson, also a founding member and the longest member of The Supremes.

“Barbara Martin has passed,” she wrote.

The group’s official Facebook page shared Wilson’s message, adding: “Our hearts go out to Barbara’s family and friends. Once a Supreme, always a Supreme.”

Martin was a member of The Supremes from 1960 to 1962. She joined the legendary singing group back when they were called The Primettes, replacing founding member Betty McGlowan.

The Supremes signed a recording contract with Motown records in 1961, and the group was completed with Florence Ballard and leading lady Diana Ross.

Barbara sang most of the tracks on their first album, Meet the Supremes, released in 1962, but she was not featured on the cover art because she was heavily pregnant at the time.

Martin reportedly left the group in 1962 due to her pregnancy. She was never replaced and the band went on as a trio and their most famous line-up: Diana Ross, Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson.

NeNe Leakes Reveals Wendy Williams’ Ex-Husband Blocked Her Planned Talk Show: “Sometimes People Are Intimidated”

In recent months, NeNe Leakes and Wendy Williams have formed a surprising friendship. In spite of several years of reports they were feuding, the two may have bonded over a shared dislike for Williams’ ex-husband, Kevin Hunter.

NeNe stopped by The Breakfast Club earlier this week, and during the interview, she reveals that she believes Hunter played a role in her planned talk show getting scrapped back in 2015.

“Wendy cost you some money,” Charlamagne Tha God said, bringing up the topic. Though she was reluctant to elaborate, NeNe did confirm the host’s speculation.

“I do think so…I think it was her husband, yea. He was never nice to me…I’m sure he was the one that went to get it stopped.”

By 2015, NeNe’s career had expanded beyond reality TV. She had supporting roles on scripted television shows, had appeared in two Broadway productions, and was gearing up to try her hand at daytime talk.

A talk show was in the works produced by Debmar-Mercury, the same company that also produces The Wendy Williams Show. Charlamagne noted that NeNe had even filmed a pilot for the project.

NeNe revealed the show was scrapped after Hunter demanded Debmar-Mercury either produce NeNe’s show or Wendy’s; not both. The established show won out, of course.

“Well, you know things happened. Timing is everything. Maybe it wasn’t my time. Sometimes people are intimidated, ya know. They think you gonna come up and do a little more than they do, I’m not sure, but I know that it was scrapped, that’s true.”

NeNe’s not holding any hard feelings, understanding that it’s just business.

“They made the right choice in my eyes. I would have done the same thing,” she said. “At the time in my life, it showed me how the industry is, it’s a dirty world.”

She also added that she has never had a conversation with Williams about the situation, nor does she want to, calling it “old news” and that they have both since “moved on.”

Mugshot Madness: Pleasure P Arrested for Battery After Allegedly Hitting Checkers Employee With His Food

Pleasure P posed for this mugshot after he was arrested in Florida following an altercation with a Checkers drive-thru worker.

TMZ reports that the former Pretty Ricky member was arrested early Thursday morning around 5:15 a.m. in Miami Gardens after he allegedly shoved a female employee in the chest with his bag of food through the drive-thru window.

The police report states that the Checkers employee told cops the incident started when Pleasure P yelled at her through the intercom system for several minutes because of a mix-up over $60 worth of food he’d ordered.

According to the employee, Pleasure P (whose real name is Marcus Ramone Cooper) continued yelling at her as he drove up to the window before getting out of his car and walking up to her.

The woman said he handed her the money and she gave him his food, but then he “pushed her intentionally with malicious intent in the chest with the food he received,” per the police report.

The woman called police, and when they arrived, they questioned the 35-year-old singer, who admitted to his role in the verbal altercation that escalated to food being thrown, but he claimed it wasn’t at the female worker in question.

The incident report noted that P smelled strongly of alcohol and police observed food all over the floor near the drive-thru window. Other employees also corroborated their co-worker’s story.

Pleasure P was arrested and his car was towed. He was booked for simple battery and was released after posting a $1,500 bond a few hours later.
