Joe Biden Announces Kamala Harris As His Vice Presidential Running Mate for 2020 Election

Joe Biden has finally chosen his vice presidential running mate for the 2020 election … and it’s Senator Kamala Harris!

Biden made the announcement Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 11) via his official website and Twitter, writing: “I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked Kamala Harris—a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants—as my running mate.”

Not only is Kamala Harris the first Black woman chosen to be VP running mate by a major party in history, but if Biden wins the 2020 election in November, Harris will be the country’s first-ever Black woman Vice President.

Harris is also the only Black woman on the Senate, and she serves on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, the Select Committee on Intelligence, the Committee on the Judiciary, and the Committee on the Budget.

Via JoeBiden.com:

The first Black woman to represent California in the United States Senate, Kamala Harris grew up believing in the promise of America and fighting to make sure that promise is fulfilled for all Americans. Kamala’s father immigrated to the U.S. from Jamaica to study economics and her mother immigrated from India. Kamala’s mother told her growing up “Don’t sit around and complain about things, do something,” which is what drives Kamala every single day.

Kamala started fighting for working families in the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, where she focused on prosecuting child sexual assault cases. From there, she became the first Black woman elected as San Francisco’s District Attorney. In this position, she started a program to provide first-time drug offenders second chances with the opportunity to earn a high school degree and find a job.

In 2010, Kamala became the first Black woman to be elected California Attorney General, overseeing the country’s second-largest Justice Department, only behind the U.S. Department of Justice. In this capacity, she managed a $735 million budget and oversaw more than 4,800 attorneys and other employees. As California Attorney General, Kamala fought for families and won a $20 billion settlement for California homeowners against big banks that were unfairly foreclosing on homes.

Kamala worked to protect Obamacare, helped win marriage equality for all, defended California’s landmark climate change law and won a $1.1 billion settlement against a for-profit education company that scammed students and veterans. Kamala also fought for California communities and prosecuted transnational gangs who drove human trafficking, gun smuggling and drug rings.

Since being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016, Kamala has introduced and co-sponsored legislation to help the middle class, increase the minimum wage to $15, reform cash bail, and defend the legal rights of refugees and immigrants.

Kamala serves on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence that deals with the nation’s most sensitive national security and international threats. She also serves on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee where she oversees the federal government’s response to natural disasters and emergencies, including the Trump administration’s response to COVID-19.

On the Senate Judiciary Committee, Kamala has held Trump administration officials accountable and was a powerful voice against Trump’s conservative judicial nominations.

Kamala graduated from Howard University, where she was in the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, and earned a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.

Kamala has been married to her husband Doug for the past six years. She is the stepmother of two children, Ella and Cole who are her “endless source of love and pure joy.”

Georgia Dad Says Waycross Police Shot at Unarmed Black Kids & Pistol Whipped 15-Year-Old During Traffic Stop

The Waycross Police Department in Ware County, Georgia is under fire after allegedly shooting at a group of unarmed black children aged between 9 and 16, and pistol-whipping a 15-year-old Black boy Saturday morning (Aug. 8) during a traffic stop.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the officer-involved shooting took place around 8 a.m. after police attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.

Dominique Goodman Sr. said five children—aged 9, 12, 14, 15, and 16—were inside the car on their way back home from a local Walmart when a police officer started following them.

The three youngest children told News4Jax that the officer didn’t turn his lights on to pull them over until they had pulled into their neighborhood near Walters and Greenwood streets.

The 12-year-old said the older teens were scared and told the three youngest kids (the 9, 12, and 14-year-olds) to jump out of the car and run home to get their father, but when they exited the vehicle, the cop started shooting at them.

GBI officials said when the younger children ran off, the first officer pursued them in his squad car while a second officer who responded to assist approached the car with the 15 and 16-year-olds from the front.

GBI said as the second officer began to approach the vehicle from the front, the vehicle drove towards him, and the second officer fired multiple shots as the vehicle approached.

The 9-year-old told News4Jax that at least seven shots were fired and he was almost hit by a bullet that whizzed by his head.

“It went past my face,” the boy said. “I could have gotten shot in my face, but they shot the swing.”

GBI said the older teens (the 15 and 16-year-olds, both males) jumped out of the car while it was still in drive.

The vehicle eventually came to a stop further up the road, and an altercation ensued between the second officer and the 15-year-old male, who was soon handcuffed and taken into custody. EMS later arrived and treated the 15-year-old for minor injuries.

In viral video footage posted via Facebook Live, Goodman Sr.—the children’s father—said his son (the 15-year-old) was pistol-whipped by police and showed the boy with blood running down his face while he sat in the back of a squad car.

Goodman said he heard the gunshots, which sounded close, and he stopped outside to find his children running towards the house screaming for help with the police trailing not too far behind.

“We go in the back, we open the door, we see my 9-year-old, my 12-year-old and a 14-year-old running from the police behind them with gunshots coming behind them,” Goodman said. “We go down the street and we see our 15-year-old and our 16-year-old on the ground.”

The 15 and 16-year-olds were both eventually taken from the scene in handcuffs and were held at the police station for several hours, the family said. The three minors weren’t taken into custody and were able to go home, police said.

News4Jax reporters observed multiple bullet holes in the car the children had been riding in. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured during the incident.

“They shot at a car full of unarmed minors. A car full of unarmed children. Like who in the world can’t see that this is a 9-year-old? Who can’t see that this is a child? They look like children,” Goodman said. “They are babies. What was the purpose of shooting?”

Goodman said the kids were coming home to get him so they could all go to a football tournament in Jacksonville that two of the children were supposed to play in on Saturday.

He said instead of being able to go to the game, his kids were traumatized by gunfire at the hands of police.

“This is a good neighborhood. All the neighbors are basically kin,” Goodman said.

“To hear gunshots in this neighborhood and to see that it’s our kids being shot at, and everybody in the neighborhood knows our kids. They know they’re not bad kids. Our kids almost lose their lives to go to a football game? Man, that’s crazy. That’s crazy. Almost lose their lives going to the football game.”

Saturday’s shooting marked the fourth officer-involved shooting the GBI responded to in less than 24 hours, officials said.

In addition to the Waycross Police Department and GBI, the Georgia NAACP is also investigating the incident.

Waycross NAACP President Larry Lockey said he met with the family, and the community is demanding a thorough investigation.

Migos Rapper Takeoff Sued by Woman Who Says He Raped Her at a Party, LAPD Investigating

Takeoff is the subject of a lawsuit and LAPD investigation after a woman claimed the Migos rapper sexually assaulted her at a party in Los Angeles.

The woman, who filed the lawsuit under the name Jane Doe, claims Takeoff made her feel extremely uncomfortable at an L.A. party back in June before raping her in the bedroom of the person she says invited her to the gathering.

TMZ reports:

According to legal docs … the woman claims Takeoff stared at her while at the party and that made her extremely uncomfortable. She also claims he offered her weed later in the evening, but she snubbed him.

In the suit, she says things went south after that — she claims she was going upstairs with the man who invited her to the party when Takeoff, who was coming down the steps, got pissed. She says Takeoff and the man got into an argument, prompting her to go into the man’s bedroom to wait it out.

She alleges that’s when Takeoff entered the bedroom and started touching her buttocks. She claims she very clearly refused his advances, but Takeoff then flipped her over face-down, pulled down her clothing and raped her. She claims after he finished he immediately left the room.

After getting over the initial shock, the woman claims she went to a nearby hospital the same day where she claims hospital staff observed physical evidence of forceful rape. She claims hospital staff notified LAPD.

She’s suing for sexual battery, assault, emotional distress and more and wants damages.

And here we thought Takeoff was the LEAST problematic of the three Migos.

Future’s 7th Baby Mama Eliza Reign Wants Him Thrown in Jail for Dodging Child Support Case

The mother of one of Future’s seven official children wants him punished to the fullest extent if he continues to dodge their child support case, which includes jail time.

Eliza Reign’s lawyer, Brandon Rotbart, confirmed to Bossip that he has filed a motion for contempt against Future for failing to disclose his income and financial information even though a judge had previously ordered him to do so.

Eliza and the rapper have been in a child support battle regarding their 1-year-old daughter for several months. But, citing privacy, Future says he doesn’t want any of his income or assets made public.

If a judge rules that Future is in contempt, the judge could penalize the rapper with jail time, probation, or suspend his driver’s license.

Another child support hearing is scheduled for the end of this month. Rotbart intends to file a separate motion that would require Future to be present at the hearing so that he can explain to the court why he has refused comply.

After a contentious back and forth that has played out in public, a DNA test proved that Future is the father of Eliza’s 1-year-old, Reign Wilburn … which makes Eliza baby mama number seven, and makes Reign Future’s seventh confirmed child.

Future offered to pay Eliza $1,000 a month in support, but she rejected that offer.

Future’s lawyer has not commented on the upcoming hearing and newly filed contempt motion.

Tiny & T.I.’s Daughter Zonnique Announces Pregnancy, Expecting First Child with Boyfriend Bandhunta Izzy

T.I. and Tiny’s daughter Zonnique Pullins is pregnant!

The 24-year-old is expecting her first child with her boyfriend of two years, rapper Bandhunta Izzy, according to an exclusive report from People magazine.

“Literally every year, probably for the past three years, this same rumor [that I was pregnant] had come out,” Pullins tells People. “This time I actually am pregnant. It’s weird!”

Zonnique—who is T.I. and Tiny’s oldest child (FYI: she’s really T.I.’s stepdaughter but they have a father-daughter relationship)—is five months into her pregnancy, which she says has been “really easy” thus far.

“With it being my first time being pregnant, I had so many expectations and was thinking, ‘Oh, it’s going to be really hard,'” she told the magazine. “I never really had morning sickness.”

Pullins does, however, admit that she hates being pregnant during a pandemic.

“It really sucks being pregnant during the coronavirus,” she said. “At first, I’m like, ‘This is the perfect time, like everybody is locked in. I don’t have to worry about going out. So if I want to hide it for however long, I can hide.'”

“But when it comes to going to doctor’s appointments, I go to all of them by myself. I ask every single time, ‘Can I bring my boyfriend?’ And they’re like, ‘No, only you can come,'” she continued.

“That’s been the worst part,” she added. “I’m hoping by the time I’m ready to have the baby it will be over with. But I’m sure it won’t be, so I’ll be in there with one person, most likely. I’m just trying not to get my hopes too high anymore.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/B8kmCKjBVZR/

Zonnique said when she first found out she was pregnant, she was “kind of sad at first.”

“I have a million brothers and sisters so I’ve always been the one like, ‘I’m not having a baby anytime soon,'” she said. “That was always my thing. So I was kind of sad at first, and my boyfriend was really excited from the jump. He was like, ‘You know it’s whatever you want to do.'”

She continued: “I was calling my cousin, and they were laughing at me because they already knew that I didn’t want to have a baby anytime soon. I was like, ‘Why are you guys laughing?’ And I’m just crying and stuff.”

She added: “But after a while, I’m like, ‘Now I feel like I can do this. It’s something that will mature me and change me in a great way.’ I’m trying to wrap my head around it, and now we are here.”

Pullins will tell her stepdad about her pregnancy on the first time Tuesday night (Aug. 4) during the premiere of her new millennial talk show The Mix.

“I felt like it may be a little funny to get his reaction,” she said. “He can’t get mad or anything. Even my real dad [Zonnie Pullins], I just told him last week, to be honest. You’re always your dad’s little princess. So, I just wasn’t sure how he’d feel.”

T.I. isn’t the only family member who has been left out of the loop regarding her pregnancy so far. She said in addition to her stepfather, she still has about “half” of her family to tell about her pregnancy.

“That’s the crazy part,” she says. “It’s not even the world that I’ve been not telling. All my fans are like, ‘Oh, all you have to do is say yes.’ But half of my family I still haven’t gotten around to calling. Some of my sisters still don’t know. But my sister Deyjah, she was the first sibling that I told.”

Zonnique will also reveal her baby’s gender during the premiere episode of The Mix, but regardless of whether the baby is a boy or a girl, she says she’s going to raise her child the way she was raised.

“My parents always showed me a world that I probably would have never known if it weren’t for them,” she says. “Early, I was already immune to things and how people are negative. People talk about you and make up stories, and I became so strong growing up. That’s probably something that I will definitely take from them.”

As for she and her boyfriend’s parenting styles, Pullins says she’s “definitely” going to be “the more strict” parent.

“He’s so soft,” she tells People. “He has two kids already. He’s such a different person with his kids than he is with everybody else. All my friends, even my mom, my parents, my whole family know how I am with my siblings. Like [with my 4-year-old sister] Heiress, I get mad when she’s crying too much. I’m like, ‘Okay, I have to toughen her up.’ So I feel like I’ll definitely be the [more] strict parent out of the both of us.”

Zonnique said she and her boyfriend, Bandhunta Izzy, 23, started dating after he slid in her DMs on Instagram.

“My old manager is his manager now,” she said. “So her assistant really showed me him, and I followed him. She was like, ‘I feel like he’s your type.’ Months later, he slid in my DMs, and we hit it off.”

Zonnique fed into pregnancy rumors last week when she made comments about being “on [her] Nicki Minaj sh*t” during an Instagram Live session with fans.

“And when I am pregnant, you know what I’mma do? I’ma do somethin’ special for y’all,” she said, responding to a fan’s inquiry about the speculation at the time that she was pregnant.

“I wanna be like, turned up. I wanna be on my Nicki Minaj sh*t. Not on no f**kin’ live answering to y’all like I got to. Last time I was on live, I told y’all mind the business that pay y’all. Y’all didn’t learn nothin’! That’s why corona is still out there. Just chill. My time will come.”

This will be baby number one for Zonnique and number three for Bandhunta. The couple have been in a relationship for the past two years.

Chicago Rapper FBG Duck Dead at 26, Killed in Drive-By Shooting

FBG Duck, a popular rapper out of Chicago, is dead at the age of 26 after he was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting.

Multiple sources confirmed via social media that the rapper had been shot Tuesday (Aug. 4) in what appears to be a drive-by shooting in Chicago’s Gold Coast area.

Sources later confirmed that Duck, whose real name is Carlton Weekley, was pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that three people were shot Tuesday in the Gold Coast in the North Side of Chicago around 4:30 p.m. According to Chicago police and fire officials, the shooting happened on Oak St. between Michigan Ave. and Rush St.

According to CBS Chicago, three people were shopping on Oak Street when two vehicles pulled up and four people exited—two from each car—and began firing at the people outside the stores. Chicago Police Area Three Operations Deputy Chief Daniel O’Shea said a woman who was in a car parked outside one of the stores was also shot.

Though officials haven’t confirmed FBG Duck’s death, police said a “26-year-old man” was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said he suffered gunshot wounds to the chest, groin and neck.

The woman, also 26, was shot in the left hand and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital Chicago, where her condition was stabilized, police said.

O’Shea said a 36-year-old man, who was shot in the back and side, was also rushed to Northwestern Memorial in serious condition.

A witness who was working nearby told WGN 9 News he saw two men standing outside a store around 4:20 p.m. He said the men weren’t arguing, but at one point, he heard gunshots and saw one man run away and the other go down in Michigan Ave. He said he then heard more gunshots about four to five minutes later.

Video of the moments after the shooting surfaced on social media, apparently showing FBG Duck bleeding out on the ground.

Another witness told CBS Chicago he too heard several gunshots along Oak Street.

“I see the guy in the black pullout a gun and he shot at the dude with the white shirt. And they both ran—the guy he was shooting at ran to the left, and the guy who was doing the shooting ran that way; ran towards Michigan Avenue,” Antonio Moffett said, “and about four minutes later, a ring of shots came out; about eight or nine shots.”

Police said one of the vehicles involved in the shooting was described as a black Ford Taurus, and other was said to be a Silver Chrysler 300. Both cars fled west on Oak St. from the scene, police said.

The area where the shooting happened is known for its high-end boutiques and luxury stores.

A number of jewelry stores are located on the block where the shooting took place, the Sun-Times reported.

This marks the second time FBG has been shot in the past two years.

He was shot in the shoulder back in June 2018 in an incident that also left one of his friends, known as Can’t Get Right, dead.

In 2017, the rapper’s brother—FBG Brick—was shot and killed in a violent shooting incident on Chicago’s Southside.

FBG Duck was a popular figure in Chicago’s underground rap scene and was best known for his single “Slide.”

He also previously got into a beef with Tekashi 6ix9ine after the two traded threats and insults on social media.

Singer Jaguar Wright Accuses Common of Sexual Assault: “This N***a Tryna Stick His D**k in My Mouth While I’m Sleep”

Philadelphia singer Jaguar Wright has come forward with some pretty serious accusations about rapper Common.

In a recent Instagram Live interview, Wright—who is best known for her work with The Roots as well as her contribution to Jay-Z’s Unplugged album (she sang the hook on “Song Cry”)—described an alleged incident where she says Common sexually assaulted her while she was sleeping.

The exact timeline is unclear, but Wright said the incident occurred following a performance one night. She said Common tried to have sex with her, and when she refused, he didn’t take no for an answer.

“The next thing I know, I wake up. It’s morning and I feel something poking in my face and sh**. And it’s just poking in my face, poking in my face. And I’m like ‘What the f*ck?!’ Then I open my mouth, this n***a trying to stick his d**k in my mouth while I’m sleep,” Wright alleged.

She went on: “Lonnie f**king Lynn, Rashid, Common—whatever the f**k you want to call yourself. That’s why I stopped f**kin’ with him, because n***a if you gonna try to stick your d**k in my mouth while I’m asleep, there ain’t nothing you won’t do.”

Wright also addressed Common’s dating life, claiming his public relationships are simply a publicity stunt and a cover-up of his private indiscretions. The rapper’s dating history includes relationships with Erykah Badu, Serena Williams, Angela Rye, and more recently, Tiffany Haddish.

“I don’t even know why he running around parading around here with all these public relations relationships that never seem to last,” Wright added.

“When’s the last time he actually had a real bitch? You was with Serena, that didn’t work out. You was with whoever and whoever. You always got whose hot dating you but the sh** don’t last long. He ain’t been right since Lauryn Hill left him anyway.”

Wright also claimed that after Lauryn Hill rejected Common, he moved on to Erykah Badu, who she said was jealous of her.

“That song ‘Booty’ on that second album, she made that about me,” Wright said.

Wright’s interview surfaced online and went viral Monday evening (Aug. 3), however, as of Tuesday, Common has yet to speak on the allegations.

Frank Ocean’s 18-Year-Old Brother Ryan Breaux Killed in Fiery Car Crash in California

Frank Ocean is mourning the tragic loss of his younger brother.

The Grammy winner’s 18-year-old brother, Ryan Breaux was killed in a single-car accident on early Sunday morning (Aug. 2) in Thousand Oaks, California.

According to reports, Breaux and his former high school classmate Ezekial “Zeek” Bishop, 20, veered off the road around 1:30 a.m. and crashed into a tree located in the center median.

The Tesla was engulfed in flames when authorities arrived. Breaux and Bishop were pronounced dead on the scene.

The accident is still being investigated, but police suspect speed was a factor.

“The speed limit is north of 45 mph,” Deputy Wendell Campbell told KTLA. “It’s a nice big stretch of road, so sometimes people do pick up speed.”

It hasn’t been reported who was driving the vehicle.

While neither family members nor authorities have confirmed their identities, Ocean’s fans on the scene and on social media revealed that Breaux was one of the victims.

Many expressed their condolences and shared tributes on social media.

Frank has not made any public statements regarding his brother’s death. Our thoughts are with the families of both men.

S.C. Governor Henry McMaster Allows ALL Businesses to Operate at “Reduced Capacity” Amid Rising COVID-19 Cases

Despite coronavirus cases spiking like crazy all over the state of South Carolina, Governor Henry McMaster has announced new “restrictions” for ALL businesses to operate amid the pandemic … instead of shutting them down to help slow the spread.

On Wednesday (Jul. 29), Gov. McMaster signed an executive order that will require face masks for all restaurant employees and patrons, and said during a press conference that all previously recommended guidelines of restaurants and other establishments that attract groups are now mandatory.

“These limited restrictions are temporary, they are measured, and they are targeted towards what we know works,” McMaster said.

“These measures give South Carolina the best chance to slow the spread of the virus without shutting down the state’s economy – which we cannot and will not do – as many continue to call for.”

The governor is also mandating that local officials enforce his executive order, and said those caught in violation could face misdemeanor charges and up to 30 days in prison and/or a $100 fine.

McMaster also continued his call for all South Carolinians to wear face coverings where appropriate and he’s also now encouraging local municipalities and counties to adopt their own mask mandates to fit the needs of their communities.

The governor also ordered that face coverings must be worn in all state government buildings, effective August 5th.

The new mandatory guidelines for restaurants are as follows:

  • Dine-in services at no more than 50% capacity
  • Masks or face coverings required for employees and patrons
  • Tables spaced to keep diners at least six feet apart
  • No more than 8 customers per table unless from the same family
  • Standing or congregating in bar area of restaurant is prohibited
  • Establishments that hold a state permit to sell alcohol are subject to these restrictions

The governor also provided guidelines for other types of businesses, facilities, venues, events or mass gatherings that are now permitted to open, including festivals, parades, concerts, theaters, stadiums, arenas, coliseums, auditoriums, grandstands, amphitheaters, gymnasiums, concert halls, dance halls, performing arts centers, parks, racetracks, and other similarly operated entities.

  • Attendance may not exceed 50% of the certificate of occupancy issued by the fire marshal – or 250 persons – whichever is less.
  • Require the wearing of masks or face coverings as a condition of admission or participation
  • Enact social distancing, cleaning and hygiene practices as recommended by AccelerateSC
  • End the sale of alcohol at 11:00 PM

The governor’s executive order establishing these new measures will go into effect on Monday, August 3rd.

“Hollywood is knocking and movie theaters will be ready to open. They will have to follow these rules. Go see your favorite movie, have some distancing, you’ll have to wear a mask,” McMaster said.

“High school football games will be able to be played if the High School League plan is approved by the Department of Commerce because of course that would be more than 250 people.”

Prior to McMaster’s press conference, on Tuesday (Jul. 28), the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 1,573 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 52 additional confirmed deaths, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 83,720 and confirmed deaths to 1,505.

Of the 52 new confirmed deaths, 40 were elderly (ages 65 and up), eight were middle-aged (ages 35 to 64), and three were young adults (18-34).

There was also one pediatric death confirmed in Greenville County that happened on July 8th and was reported on Tuesday, marking the second death of a child caused by COVID-19 in South Carolina.

On Wednesday (Jul. 29), just hours after the governor’s press conference, SC DHEC announced 1,666 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 48 additional confirmed deaths, which brings the total number of confirmed cases to 85,423 and confirmed deaths to 1,551.

The state is also reporting a nearly 20% positivity rate for COVID-19 cases.

Meek Mill Reportedly Has Another Baby on the Way With a Woman Who is NOT Milan Harris

The word on the curb is that Meek Mill is expecting another baby with a woman who is NOT Milan Harris, and that’s the real reason why they broke up.

ItsOnSite, the gossip blog spearheaded by Rah Ali, shared a random text message from someone making the allegations, so this could definitely just be a rumor … however, the timing is very interesting, considering Meek just announced that he and Milan recently broke up a few days ago.

The message reads: “Word on the street is that Meek Mill has another baby and before it leaks out to the media he wanted it to be known that him and [Milano] are not together so social media won’t bash him.”

Again … none of this has been confirmed, so it should be taken with a grain of salt.

The rumors come just under three months since the birth of Meek and Milan’s son, which just so happened to be on the rapper’s 33rd birthday—May 6th.

On Sunday (Jul. 26), Meek took to social media announcing that he and Harris “came to [an] understanding” and would be raising their son as “separate parents.”

“Me and Milano decided to remain friends and build our child as separate parents … we still have mad love for [each other] but we both came to [an] understanding,” read the post on Twitter, which has since been deleted.

The rapper added via Instagram: “No fall out either just moving forward! Still love! This for protection so social media won’t think we moving wrong.”

Meek has yet to speak up on the new baby rumors directly, however, the last part of his statement regarding his breakup with Milano—”This for protection so social media won’t think we moving wrong”—is VERY telling.

If true, this would make baby number four for Meek—including the baby boy he shares with Milano and his two older sons, Murad and Rihmeek, from a previous relationship.

WE tv Postpones Tamar Braxton’s New Show Which Reportedly Contributed to Her Suicide Attempt: “Our First Concern is for Her Recovery”

Days before Tamar Braxton’s new reality show was scheduled to premiere, WE tv has chosen to reschedule the debut following her recent suicide attempt and hospitalization.

Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life! was expected to premiere on Thursday (Jul. 30). But in a statement released on Tuesday, WE tv announced the decision to postpone the premiere until Sept. 10, noting that the network’s “first concern is for [Tamar’s] recovery and well-being.”

“Tamar Braxton has been an incredibly important member of the WE tv family for more than a decade, and our first concern is for her recovery and well-being. Given the current situation, we are postponing the premiere of ‘Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!’ until September 10,” read a statement from the network.

“This series was conceived by Tamar and is a real portrait of a dynamic woman juggling the demands of being a single mother, a new relationship and her career. We know, when the time is right, Tamar’s fans will relate to seeing this honest portrait of her life, but — at this moment — we are joining with her fans and sending strength and healing in the hope that she is getting the support and help she needs at this difficult time.”

Braxton was found unconscious by her boyfriend David Adefeso on July 16th. In his 911 call, Adefeso said Braxton had consumed an excess number of pills mixed with alcohol.

The suicide attempt occurred just hours after WE tv released the first trailer of Get Ya Life! Adefeso claimed that Braxton was upset about her portrayal in the clip and added to her recent contentious relationship with the network.

However, sources tell TMZ that it was Adefeso who was most upset about his own portrayal in the new series.

We reported last week that Braxton has been transferred to a facility with doctors that specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and sexual assault trauma.

We continue to send Braxton and her family strength during this difficult time.

3-Month-Old Baby Girl Killed After Mom Intentionally Rams Car Being Driven by Baby’s Father

A tragic car crash has left an infant dead and a father hospitalized.

Atlanta police are investigating a two-car crash that occurred on Monday (Jul. 27) after a mother intentionally slammed into a car containing the father of her child and her 3-month-old baby girl.

“A father was traveling with his child on Eason Street when a mother driving a separate vehicle rear-ended their vehicle,” police sergeant John Chafee confirmed.

Details of the accident are still been investigated, but what we do know is that the father placed his daughter in his car and attempted to drive away.

The mother then rear-ended the car several times with her SUV, causing the dad to lose control and crash into a telephone pole.

The accident caused extensive damage. First responders had to cut the top of the car in order to get the baby out.

Dad and baby were both transported to the hospital, where the baby girl, unfortunately, died from her injuries. The father is in stable condition.

The case is being treated as a homicide. The mother was detained and questioned.

Georgia Mom Arrested After Attempting to Enter Disney World With 2 Guns & Weed Hidden in Diaper Bag

A Georgia mom planned to take her two children to enjoy the magical experience of Disney World, but unfortunately they didn’t even make it past the front gate because the mom was arrested by security.

Yunique Smith, 27, was arrested on Saturday, July 18th while attempting to enter Disney World’s Epcot Center after a security check revealed that she had hidden two guns and weed in her baby’s diaper bag.

According to the police report Smith was in the security line with an adult male, their 7-year-old son and 7-month-old daughter when security saw a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and a bag of weed in “plain-view” in the baby’s diaper bag.

Smith and the rest of her family were immediately taken to a secure room. And when the baby’s father asked to change the baby’s diaper, security further checked the diaper bag and found a second loaded handgun.

Usher Herpes Accuser Quantasia Sharpton Down From 454 Pounds After Weight Loss Surgery

Quantasia Sharpton, who famously sued Usher back in 2017 for allegedly giving her herpes, is undergoing a massive weight loss transformation, The Blast reports.

Sharpton is reportedly down from 454 pounds after recently undergoing gastric sleeve surgery. The procedure was done by Dr. Theadore Hufford in Brooklyn, New York.

More via The Blast:

Dr. Hufford believes with the sleeve Quantasia can get her weight down to around 260 lbs. If she continues to lose weight he will complete a bypass surgery on Quantasia in 6 months, where she could get down to the 100’s.

We’re told Quantasia is already down 21 lbs. from the sleeve and is ready to keep going.

As The Blast previously reported, last year, Quantasia and two other people dismissed their legal battle against Usher.

Quantasia Sharpton, along with a Jane Doe and John Doe, sued the singer claiming they all had sexual relations with Usher. They all say he risked their health by not telling him about his alleged diagnosis and are seeking unspecified damages.

John Doe claimed he had sex with Usher at a Koreatown spa in Los Angeles. Throughout the case, Usher moved to dismiss all claims against him.

In December, Usher settled the final lawsuit relating to the Herpes allegations. He reached a deal with his insurance company to end their beef.

Back in 2017, New York Marine and General Insurance sued Usher and his company Fast Pace Inc. At the time, Usher was facing multiple lawsuit accusing him of exposing sexual partners to Herpes without disclosing the STD.

Aside from the Quantasia lawsuit, Usher faced a separate $20 million lawsuit brought by a woman named Laura Helm. The singer reached a confidential settlement with Laura to bring an end to her case.

Since the legal drama, Usher has been spotted around town with record exec Jennifer Goicoechea.

$10 Million Lottery Winner Charged With Murder of 23-Year-Old Woman Says He Can’t Afford an Attorney

A North Carolina man who won $10 million from a scratch-off lottery ticket just three years ago is now in jail and charged with murder.

52-year-old Michael Todd Hill was arrested on Tuesday (Jul. 21) and charged with the murder of Keonna Graham, 23, who was found dead in his hotel room on Monday morning.

According to hotel staff, housekeeping entered the room past check out time and found Graham unconscious and called 911. Graham was pronounced dead on the scene.

Staff says Hill checked into the room alone on Sunday and at no point did they witness Graham enter the room.

Details of the incident or Graham’s cause of death have not been reported. But there was some blood found at the scene.

“She was very loved and she’s very beautiful,” said Tiffany Wilson, a family friend of Graham’s. “I don’t know what the situation was, but [Hill] had no business being in the hotel with her.”

“It scares me because it’s in my circle that someone knows her and I don’t know him, but it’s in my circle that people know him. And that’s what frightens me,” Wilson continued.

Hill is currently being held without bond.

In 2017, Hill made news for a vastly different reason after winning $10 million after buying an Extreme Millions scratch-off at a convenience store.

He had previously bought a (losing) ticket and joked with the cashier for not selling him a winning ticket. After winning, he returned to the store and gave the cashier $2,000.

While claiming his prize money, Hill opted to receive a lump sum of $6 million instead of receiving 20 annual payments of $500,000.

However, after taxes, Hill pocketed just over $4 million. He had planned to pay off bills and invest in his wife’s design business with the winning.

But, at his court appearance this week, Hill told the judge that he was unable to afford an attorney and the court-appointed him one on claims of indigency.

Pregnant 20-Year-Old Mom Shot Dead While Pushing Sick 1-Year-Old Daughter in Stroller

A pregnant young mom was tragically shot dead while pushing her 1-year-old in a stroller.

20-year-old Diamon Eichelberger was on her way to take her feverish infant to the hospital on Tuesday morning (Jul. 21) when she was fatally shot while walking in a 7-Eleven parking lot in Kansas City, Kansas.

Witnesses say an unknown car pulled up beside Eichelberger—who was pushing her baby, Belle, in a stroller—and fired shots at her and then drove off.

She was pronounced dead on the scene.

1-year-old Belle was not shot, but was taken to the hospital for examination. Police confirmed the child was “not physically” harmed during an update of the investigation.

Eichelberger’s family also says that she was nearly five months pregnant at the time of her death and was expecting to find out the gender of the baby soon.

Kansas City police currently have no suspects in the case, but are actively investigating.

Eichelberger’s murder is Kansas City’s 106th homicide this year. Because the police department is overwhelmed, the department has also asked federal authorities to help with the investigation.

Mayor Quinton Lucas said:

“That murderer is somewhere out there today. Somebody knows who did it. Somebody knows perhaps the weapon that was involved in it. We need to do all we can to make sure we prevent tragedies like that one.”

The GoFundMe created for Belle and Eichelberger’s family has already raised over $9,000, exceeding its $3,000 goal.

Tamar Braxton Awake & Alert Following Suicide Attempt, Moved to Specialized Mental Health Treatment Facility

Tamar Braxton is on the road to recovery and getting the treatment she needs after being hospitalized for an attempted suicide.

A spokesperson for Braxton told The Blast on Monday (Jul. 20) that the singer has been moved to another facility for further treatment.

“Tamar has been transferred to another facility for further evaluation and treatment. Out of respect for Tamar’s privacy and that of her family, no additional information is available at this time.

“The outpouring of support that Tamar has received is a testament to the light that she brings to people.”

Adding to the spokesperson’s update, The Blast also reports that Braxton was transferred to a different facility over the weekend in order to be treated by mental health doctors who specialize in treating depression, anxiety, sexual assault trauma.

Sources say that Braxton is awake and alert and that she has been talking with doctors about her mental state during the days leading up to her hospitalization.

Braxton was rushed to the hospital on Thursday night (Jul. 16), after her boyfriend David Adefeso found her unconscious.

She had reportedly taken an unknown amount of prescription pills for anxiety, mixed with alcohol. Braxton had even left a note.

TMZ has released Adefeso’s 911 call where he insinuated recent issues with WE tv may have contributed to Braxton’s attempted suicide.

“And it’s come to this. When do you get free? At what point are you really free?” Adefeso says while sobbing. “They’ve taken away her happiness. Everything.”

Just hours before, WE tv had released the new trailer for Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!

Braxton was reportedly “blindsided” by the trailer’s release and has long-felt that the network was exploiting her childhood trauma and sexual assault for ratings, and is the cause of rifts within the Braxton family.

WE tv released this statement to People:

“Tamar Braxton has been part of the WE tv family for nearly a decade. We are keeping her and her family in our thoughts and prayers and joining with her fans sending strength and healing at this difficult time.”

We wish Tamar and the Braxton family much support during this difficult time.
