Holly Robinson Peete Says Donald Trump Called Her the N-Word on “Celebrity Apprentice”

Holly Robinson Peete recently took a trip down memory lane and recalled a moment in which she claims President Donald Trump called her the n-word while on the set of his Celebrity Apprentice reality show.

Peete, who competed on The Celebrity Apprentice 3 (Season 9) in 2009, made the not-so-shocking claim during an interview on The Karen Hunter Show on SiriusXM.

She explained that she went on the show after being asked by producer Mark Burnett to help raise money for her charity.

Peete said prior to agreeing to appear on the show, she asked Burnett: “You’re not going to try to make me the new Omarosa, make me the mean Black lady or anything, are you?”

She stated that she found Trump “to be kind of piggish and bullish and stuff,” adding: “But I didn’t find him to be just this—who he is now, I did not see that. So, I think the combination of power and corruption and all that stuff just made him go to that next level.”

Peete, who lost to Bret Michaels, went on to say that while Trump was “kind of lovely” to her face, she’d heard that Trump was talking about her behind her back and even allegedly used a racial slur in reference to her.

“Shortly after the finale, rumors started going around that he had tossed out an ‘n-word’ referring to me,” she said.

“When the producer told me when it happened, during the finale, I remember the moment. I wasn’t in earshot, but I could see them deciding between me and Bret Michaels.”

Peete then recalled seeing Trump “talking with producers and they’re really animated and that was when I heard that he said, ‘They want the ‘n-word’ to win.’ Because I guess the network wanted me to win or me to be chosen and Trump wanted Bret.”

For what it’s worth, Holly never actually heard Trump call her the n-word … she said she got that info. from someone else, however, knowing the Donald, we honestly wouldn’t be surprised.

Rumors have swirled for a while that tapes exist of Trump saying the n-word during his 14-season run as host of The Apprentice, however, there’s no solid proof that those tapes actually exist.

For his part, Trump has denied making racist remarks and recently declared himself the “least racist person” during the 2020 presidential debates. But HRP says she’s not buying what Trump is selling when it comes to not being a racist.

“You know, how could anybody believe that he wouldn’t say something like that? I firmly believe he probably uses that language all the time,” she shared.

Peete said she chose not to address the rumors initially because she didn’t think her story would matter.

“By the time [the rumors] sort of started resurfacing, I didn’t even really address it too much because I felt like, what difference is it going to make? People have accepted the things that he said that are so vile about so many other people, what difference is it going to make if he said that about me,” she explained.

Bobby Brown’s 28-Year-Old Son Bobby Jr. Found Dead at His Home in Los Angeles

Bobby Brown has experienced the loss of yet another child, as his son Bobby Brown Jr. has died.

According to TMZ, via a close family source, Bobby Jr. was found dead Wednesday (Nov. 18) in his home in the Los Angeles area. He was 28 years old.

Bobby Jr. was the half-brother of Bobbi Kristina, Bobby Brown’s daughter with Whitney Houston, who passed away back in 2015 just six months after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub.

The coroner later determined that Bobbi Kristina had drowned in the tub, but had toxic levels of cocaine and alcohol in her system.

Bobby Jr. was one of Bobby’s seven children. His mother is Kim Ward, who dated Bobby off and on for 11 years before he got engaged to Whitney.

His cause of death wasn’t revealed, but police—who were still at the home at the time this article was published—believe there was no foul play involved.

Boosie Badazz Shot in the Leg in Dallas Just Days After Mo3 Killing

Boosie Badazz was treated at a Dallas hospital for a gunshot wound Saturday (Nov. 14) … just days after Dallas rapper Mo3 was shot and killed on a highway in the same city.

TMZ reports:

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Boosie was shot at in Dallas Saturday, after rolling through town in what we’re told was a sprinter van near a strip mall called Big T’s Plaza.

Earlier in the day, he stopped by another venue to pay his respects to recently murdered Dallas rapper Mo3 — who was a friend and collaborator of his.

At some point, somebody opened fire on the vehicle and one of the bullets struck Boosie in the leg.

We’re told the shooters booked it, and Boosie and co. made their way to a hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound below the knee.

Our Boosie sources say he is doing okay … his injury seems to be non-life-threatening.

Someone posted video of the Big T parking lot where the action supposedly went down, claiming Boosie was NOT shot — but we’ve been told otherwise … Boosie is, in fact, a patient being treated for his wounds.

According to this purported witness though, there were multiple vehicles involved — at least three of them.

Dallas PD tells us … officers responded to reports of an armed encounter Saturday, where the callers stated someone had been shot but then fled in a private vehicle.

We’re told when the cops showed up to the scene, there was nobody around and no signs of a crime being committed.

It isn’t clear if Boosie’s shooting incident is related to Mo3’s fatal shooting. Mo3 was a Dallas rapper closely affiliated with Boosie.

Today is also Boosie’s 38th birthday. He attended a vigil Friday night (Nov. 13) honoring Mo3.

No arrests have been made in Mo3’s killing and police don’t have any suspects yet.

Jeremih Hospitalized in ICU on Ventilator Battling COVID-19 As Celebrity Friends Call for Prayers

UPDATE: Sources close to Jeremih have revealed (via TMZ) that Jeremih is currently on a ventilator while battling COVID-19, and his condition has gotten worse since he was admitted into the ICU.

According to TMZ, the singer is “fighting for his life” and his “prognosis is bleak.” It isn’t clear how long he’s been in the hospital, or how long he’s had the coronavirus, but “he is not doing well,” the gossip site reported.

Jeremih’s celebrity friends are calling on fans to pray for the R&B singer, who is currently in the hospital battling an illness after contracting COVID-19.

Producer/songwriter Hitmaka (aka Yung Berg) took to Instagram Saturday (Nov. 14) to reveal that the “Don’t Tell ‘Em” singer was sick and asked his followers to send their prayers.

“I need everyone to pray for my brother @jeremih,” Hitmaka wrote alongside a photo of Jeremih, adding: “This message is posted with his mothers blessings.”

Hitmaka also posted a message on his IG Story, sharing his concern for Jeremih’s wellbeing, but also expressing optimism that he will recover.

“My dawg changed my life he gone pull thru pray for @jeremih,” Hitmaka shared. “We need that energy. Pray for my brother he gone shake back.”

Hitmaka and Jeremih both appeared on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop and have collaborated on songs including Big Sean’s “Bounce Back.”

Hitmaka spoke about their friendship in an interview with Power 105.1 back in 2019. “Jeremih is always gonna be my favorite person to work with because he changed my life,” he said.

While Hitmaka’s IG post didn’t disclose the illness Jeremih is currently battling, 50 Cent took to Instagram to suggest that it’s COVID-related and he’s currently in the ICU of a Chicago hospital.

“Pray for my boy @jeremih, he’s not doing good, this covid sh*t is real … he’s in ICU in Chicago”

A number of Jeremih’s other celebrity friends—including Chance the Rapper, Fabolous and Twista—are also sending their prayers and asking fans to do the same.

“Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now,” Chance tweeted. “I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him.”

It’s the reunion we ALL have been waiting for.

Will Smith released the trailer for the highly anticipated Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion this morning, and it’s everything and then some!

The reunion special—which will debut next Thursday (Nov. 19) on HBO Max—brings the Banks family back together 30 years after the sitcom’s debut.

“These are the people who made me the man I am today,” Smith wrote in an Instagram post Friday (Nov. 13). “And I couldn’t let this day go by without marking the occasion.”

The unscripted special was filmed on September 10th, which marked the 30th anniversary of the original series premiere on NBC.

Smith is joined for the on-set family reunion by series regulars Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton Banks), Tatyana Ali (Ashley Banks), Karyn Parsons (Hillary Banks), Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey Butler) and Daphne Maxwell Reid (Aunt Viv #2), along with DJ Jazzy Jeff (Jazz).

The reunion will also feature a tribute to the late James Avery (Uncle Phil) and a special appearance from Janet Hubert, who originally played the role of Aunt Viv before being unceremoniously fired from the show after the third season in 1993.

Hubert and Smith’s sit-down was the first time they’d spoken in 27 years and will most likely be the highlight of the special.

Lil Nas X Says He’s a “Bottom on the Low” in New Single “Holiday”

Lil Nas X wants the world to know that he’s a “bottom on the low.”

The openly gay rapper-singer makes the bold declaration in his new single “Holiday,” which, along with a very CGI-heavy music video, was released early Friday morning (Nov. 13).

Set on Christmas Eve 2220, the video follows Nas X through a futuristic North Pole workshop where he takes on the role of several different characters—including a silver-haired Santa and a skirt-wearing, dancing elf—and flies through the sky in a Dodge Challenger fashioned into a high-tech sleigh complete with robo-reindeer.

The video itself is one hell of a conversation starter, but it’s one line in the song in particular that has everyone talking.

“Ayy, can I pop sh*t? / I might bottom on the low, but I top sh*t,” he sing-raps.

“Switch the genre on you hoes, do a rock hit / I got the biggest damn song, f**k the charts, sis, I don’t need ’em.”

For those who are unaware, a “bottom” is someone who prefers to take a more “submissive” role in sexual situations (i.e. the “receiving partner”). When it comes to man-on-man sex, a bottom is the guy who is being penetrated.

Of course, the gays on Twitter went crazy over the revelation that Nas is a “bottom on the low.” Peep the responses below:

“Holiday” is the first single from Nas’ highly anticipated upcoming album, the follow-up to his debut EP 7, which featured his record-breaking hit single “Old Town Road,” as well as the popular follow-up tracks “Panini” an “Rodeo.”

He’s set to perform “Holiday” for the first time during his “Lil Nas X Concert Experience” virtual show, which will stream live via the online game platform Roblox this Saturday at 4 p.m. EST.

King Von’s Sister Blasts Atlanta Mortician Who Allegedly Leaked Rapper’s Autopsy Photos: “WE NEED HIM FIRED NOW!”

King Von’s sister Kayla B has called out the mortician who allegedly took photos of the slain rapper following his autopsy and is believed to have helped the images spread online, sparking outrage all over social media.

On top of that, Kayla says that the man should be fired for his actions, but claims he’s being protected by his employer.

King Von, whose real name was Dayvon Daquan Bennett, was shot outside an Atlanta nightclub just after 3 a.m. last Friday (Nov. 6).

Investigators believe the shooting happened as a result of an argument between two groups of men—reportedly King Von and Quando Rondo’s crews.

Immediately after the shooting, King Von was rushed to Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died while in surgery. He was only 26 years old.

Just days later, Von’s autopsy photos were leaked online and widely circulated on social media.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday (Nov. 12), Kayla B shared photos of the mortician who allegedly helped leak the images, Freddyie Curry, as well as the address of the mortuary, which is located at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

“THIS THE SICK MFER THAT POSTED MY BROTHER PICTURES!!!” Kayla B. wrote in all caps. “HE WORK AT THE [AIRPORT] MORTUARY. HIS WHOLE JOB KNOW HE DID THE SH*T BUT THEY [TRYNA] PROTECT HIM!!! WE NEED HIM FIRED NOW!!!!”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CHfyUCpgZPp/

Kayla B didn’t say in her post how she identified Curry, who has since deactivated his Facebook page, but she’s very adamant that he’s behind the leaking of her brother’s graphic autopsy photos.

It is believed that Curry took the photos and passed them along to Quando Rondo’s crew, who then posted the images all over social media.

Among the people outraged by the leaking of King Von’s autopsy photos was former Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star Masika Kalysha, who tweeted about the leak, writing: “What an evil sick fk u have to be to take autopsy photos of a deceased man… then to actually post them… that man got a family! How disrespectful. Smfh I hope they throw yo a** in jail and lock away the key. Smh I’m so sick of people”

Around the same time the photos leaked, King Von’s sister clashed with Atlanta rapper T.I. when the Hustle Gang boss shared a post on Instagram about violence in Atlanta, writing: “Atlanta is a beautiful progressive city filled with Black excellence. We uplift each other & win together. Stop coming here to kill each other. That sh*t is played out … Handle YOUR beefs in YOUR city. Thx in advance.”

Though Tip didn’t outright mention Von, or anyone else for that matter, people immediately thought his comment was about the Chicago rapper’s murder.

Kayla quickly fired back at Tip on her own IG with allegations that she’d seen him creeping with other women behind his wife Tiny’s back, and wrote in a separate post: “And these r FACTS! But The energy he always putting in ppl business need to be the same energy he need to make it right wit his daughter! Now wea is my brother @50cent get on his a**!”

Responding to Kayla, 50 Cent took to IG as well to call T.I. out for his comments.

“A @troubleman31 you gotta chill, you bugging for saying anything,” Fif wrote. “They got casualties this is real sh*t, i don’t know what you was thinking but re think it now. They are hurting, they love that boy he was a way out. I bet you don’t even realize they will kill you for what you just said. what hood you from again? come on now it’s quiet time.”

Tip later followed up his post with another one, saying that his previous message had nothing to do with King Von’s murder. He also said he sent condolences to the slain rapper’s family.

“I don’t speak ill of my allies,” the 40-year-old wrote. “My last post had nothing to do with King Von. Y’all grossly mistaken, I have no motive or intention to do harm or malice to cats I’m cool wit. My family’s hearts goes out to them & I’ve expressed this to the people in his life that matter most in this situation. That’s all I’m concerned with.”

He added in the post’s caption: “But I know IG ain’t da place for understanding & miserable people love to keep up sh*t. Be Eazy.”

For what it’s worth … T.I. has since deleted both posts.

In related news, the man accused of firing that fatal shot that killed King Von, 22-year-old Timothy Leeks (reportedly a close associate of Quando Rondo), was arrested and charged with the Chicago rapper’s murder.

A newly surfaced video shows King Von walking up to Quando Rondo and punching him in the face before the shots were fired, leading many to believe that Rondo and his crew were involved in the shooting.

Another video taken from another angle shows the moment Von was shot. In all, five people were shot, three of whom died (including King Von).

Leeks (also known by his rap name “Lul Timm”) was also injured in the shooting and, at the time of his arrest, was “in police custody at Grady Hospital” where he underwent “treatment for a gunshot wound,” according to a statement from the Atlanta Police Department.

“Through such a rough year I felt like we could all use a lil good news,” Meg wrote on Twitter alongside the album’s cover art, which shows her inside of a glass box holding up a newspaper surrounded by news headlines.

“My official album ‘Good news’ drops Nov. 20th! Pre save tonight @ midnight.”

The announcement of the project follows what has been a rollercoaster ride for Meg, who landed her first two No. 1 singles with the “Savage” remix featuring Beyonce and “WAP” with Cardi B. She also just released her Young Thug collaboration “Don’t Stop” last month.

Then there was that whole incident with that rapper who should not be named that tried to put a huge damper on things, but Meg is finally ready to move past that with Good News.

Former NFL Player Titus Davis Dies at 27 After Battling Rare Cancer

Former NFL player Titus Davis has died of cancer at the age of 27.

Davis was diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of kidney cancer, earlier this year.

He’d undergone chemotherapy to battle the illness, but ultimately passed away on Wednesday (Nov. 11). He’s survived by his two sons.

Davis was a wide receiver and stand-out player at Central Michigan University, where he finished as the school’s career leader in both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, both records that had been previously set by NFL star Antonio Brown.

Titus was also the only player in the history of major college football to score eight or more receiving touchdowns in four different seasons.

One of his most memorable highlights was when he scored a touchdown on a three-lateral player as time expired in the 2014 Bahamas Bowl, which just so happened to be the last play of his college career.

Davis—who was the older brother of Tennessee Titans wide receiver Corey Davis—went undrafted but spent a little time with the San Diego Chargers, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears during a brief NFL career.

According to NBC Sports, Corey plans to play tonight in honor of his late brother.

The Weekend to Headline 2021 Super Bowl Halftime Show in Tampa Bay

The Weekend has been announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl LV (55) Halftime show!

The announcement came Thursday afternoon (Nov. 12) via the New York Times.

“We all grow up watching the world’s biggest acts playing the Super Bowl, and one can only dream of being in that position,” The Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) said in a statement. “I’m humbled, honored, and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year.”

More from Rolling Stone:

Presently unable to tour football stadiums due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Weeknd will instead showcase his music to an audience of hundreds of millions on February 7th, 2021 at Tampa Bay, Florida’s Raymond James Stadium.

For the second year following a partnership with the NFL, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation will produce the halftime show.

“The Weeknd has introduced a sound all his own,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “His soulful uniqueness has defined a new generation of greatness in music and artistry.”

Prior to the announcement, the Weeknd teased his Super Bowl performance with a tweet that simply stated “LV813,” “LV” being Super Bowl 55 and “813” the Tampa Bay code.

As reported by the New York Times, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic will present a series of challenges for both the Super Bowl as well as the production of the halftime show … as a crew of hundreds is required to quickly assemble and disassemble the stage at midfield during the game’s 30-minute break.

As the New York Times reports, the coronavirus pandemic presents a series of problems both for the Super Bowl—as of now, the Tampa Bay stadium will currently only be 20-percent filled for the Big Game—as well as the production of the halftime show itself, as a crew of hundreds is required to quickly assemble and disassemble the stage at midfield during the game’s 30-minute break.

The Weekend continues a string of pop acts who’ve headlined the Super Bowl in recent years, including Madonna (2012), Beyoncé (2013), Bruno Mars (2014), Katy Perry (2015), Lady Gaga (2017), Justin Timberlake (2018), Maroon 5 (2019), and, most recently, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez (2020).

Black Louisiana Teen Quawan “Bobby” Charles Found Dead in Creek, Face Disfigured Like Emmett Till’s

The family of a Black teen who went missing is demanding answers after his mutilated and disfigured body was found in a creek in a sugar cane field in rural Louisiana.

Quawan “Bobby” Charles’ family said they were told he drowned, but they’re now telling reporters that they’re having an independent autopsy performed as they suspect foul play may have been involved considering the state of his remains.

According to the teen’s family, Quawan (whom they affectionately called “Bobby”) was reported missing on Friday, October 30th in Baldwin—a small town in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana with a population of just over 2,000—after he left his home with a 17-year-old friend and the friend’s mother, who are white.

Earlier in the day, around 3 p.m., Quawan’s mother Roxanne Nelson called him, but received no answer. According to The Root, Quawan had recently moved in with his father in Baldwin.

The fact that he didn’t answer the phone was confusing to Nelson because, as reported by The Root, “Quawan couldn’t stop talking about how he wanted to grow his hair out and had asked her to take him to get a lineup. So why wasn’t he answering the phone like he usually did?”

More via The Root:

When she reached out to Quawan’s father, Kenneth Jacko, Kenny checked the door to his son’s bedroom and knocked. No answer. But you know how teenagers are—Quawan was probably asleep. Or maybe he was on those headphones. Or, perhaps, he was just being Quawan.

“He was always to himself,” Quawan’s cousin and family spokesperson Celina Charles told The Root. “He didn’t really talk much. He basically stayed to himself.”

Kenny was sure Quawan would reply soon. He wanted that haircut. Roxanne called again. Nothing. After a little coercing, She convinced Kenny to just go into Quawan’s room but the door was locked from the inside.

By the time Kenny managed to open the door, he was ready to give Quawan a piece of his mind. There was just one problem: Quawan was gone.

Roxanne rushed to Baldwin. On her way to Kenny’s house, she flagged down a Baldwin police officer and told him that their teenager had gone missing. The officer gave a curious response.

“They brushed her off,” Charles family attorney Ronald Haley told The Root. “They told her things such as ‘Look, he’s probably at a football game; He’s probably with some friends.’ Basically, don’t worry about it.”

Roxanne continued to tell law enforcement officers that something was wrong, but according to Haley: “They just kept on getting collective indifference from, from law enforcement.”

“And then the next night went by—still no Bobby,” Celina recounted. “The first [of November] went by. No Bobby. So on [November 2nd], they got to the point where they decided to go out and try to find some answers.”

After three days of searching, one of Quawan’s friends mentioned that he last saw the teenager in the car with a white lady and her teenage son, which they passed along to the police department, who were beginning to take the youngster’s disappearance seriously.

The mother of the teenage son admitted that she picked Quawan up to “go hang out with her son,” but after that, she doesn’t know what happened, according to investigators hired by the family. Neither Quawan’s mom or dad had ever met this 17-year-old son or his mother according to The Root’s interviews with Quawan’s family members and attorneys.

“She was very coy in regards to what happened with Bobby after they picked him up,” said Haley. “But we know Bobby didn’t tell his father that he was leaving.”

On November 3rd, four days after Quawan was initially reported missing, police broke the sad news to his family that his body had been found in a creek in a rural area off Ed Broussard Rd. near Loreauville, which is about 23 or so miles north of Baldwin (about a 30-minute drive).

Quawan’s family said police told them he’d drowned, but gruesome postmortem pictures (WARNING: VERY GRAPHIC, VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED) taken by the family show that his body was mutilated, and his face was so disfigured that he’s being compared to Emmitt Till, who posthumously became an icon of the civil rights movement after he was lynched by racist white people and dumped in a Mississippi river.

“They still have not shown us where Quawan was or what creek he was found at. We can’t even go and put up a cross where he was found at. They’re being very discreet,” family spokesperson Celina Charles told KATC. “His face is disfigured. So there’s some explaining that needs to be done there. His face is disfigured.”

“We think that he was tortured because his mouth,” Celina added in a statement to The Root. “It doesn’t even look like Quawan has a mouth anymore. We think that he was hit in the head. We don’t know if he’d been shot.”

The family also shared with The Root a recording of an anonymous woman who called Quawan’s mother with information that the woman who allegedly picked up Quawan could be withholding important information from police in regards to the investigation into the boy’s death.

The caller claimed that she randomly confronted her son about his unusual behavior and he revealed that something had been “eating him up.”

Allegedly, the white family who picked up Quawan may have been high on mushrooms and the son reported that the car curiously smelled like bleach.

In any case, the son reportedly admitted to being introduced to Quawan on the day he went missing.

The Baldwin Police Department has since passed the case along to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Department, who released the following statement on Tuesday (Nov. 10):

“The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a male juvenile, who was discovered by Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies on November 3, 2020 near the village of Loreauville.

“Investigators have interviewed multiple individuals and collected physical evidence which is being processed. An autopsy has been performed and the results are pending as of this time. Investigators have updated the parents of the juvenile concerning the status of the investigation and will continue to do so throughout the investigation.

“Anyone with information concerning this death is urged to contact Detective Jarred Spurlock of the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Bureau of Investigation at 337-369-3711.”

As of today, no one has been arrested or charged in Quawan Charles’ death.

And in addition to seeking an independent autopsy to circumvent the police’s lack of transparency, Quawan’s family is now calling for the arrest of any individual(s) who was/were involved in his death, and have asked to see the coroner’s preliminary findings.

The family also wants to know why the Baldwin Police Department didn’t take their case seriously and failed to send out an Amber Alert to help find Bobby.

“If Quawan was a little white girl, Louisiana would be turned upside down right now trying to figure out what happened,” local community activist Jamaal Taylor told The Root.

“We want the officers involved that took no action placed on leave. We need an investigation into what happened and why they failed to issue an Amber alert at the time of the report of this young man going missing. And, more importantly, why they blew it off and told the parents to go look for the child at a football game.”

Added co-attorney Chase Trichell: “We just want to know what happened. No one has been arrested. They won’t even say if they have suspects. Even if the Iberia Sheriff doesn’t have answers, at least they can tell us where to start asking questions.”

For the time being, Bobby’s family is raising money to fund the costs of their private investigation into his death via GoFundMe (WARNING: A GRAPHIC PHOTO OF HIS BODY IS PUBLISHED THERE). To date, they have raised over $125,000.

“I’m devastated. I never thought this would happen to my son,” Bobby’s mother, Roxanne Nelson, said. “I just want justice for my son.”

Dallas Rapper Mo3 Dead at 28 After Getting Shot in the Head, Video Shows Him Lifeless on Highway

Dallas rapper Mo3 has died after he was shot in the back of the head while running away from the gunman on a highway in his hometown. He was 28 years old.

According to TMZ, Mo3 was driving on I-35 in Dallas when he was shot. He was then rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Our sources say the fatal shooting went down like this … the gunman and Mo3 were both traveling northbound on I-35 when the trigger man got out of his car and approached Mo3’s.

The rapper got out of his car and started running, with the gunman giving chase, firing multiple rounds and hitting Mo3 in the back of the head.

We’re told the gunman also shot an innocent bystander who was sitting in his vehicle, and the second gunshot victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A number of videos have since surfaced on social media showing a man believed to be Mo3 lying on his back in the middle of a busy highway while another man performs CPR.

This marks the second time in the past year that Mo3 was targeted in a shooting.

In December 2019, the rapper was shot in the head, but survived. He went on Instagram Live with blood pouring from his head moments after that shooting.

Mo3 (real name: Melvin Noble) was also arrested back in 2017 in connection with a Dallas-Fort Worth nightclub shooting that left one person dead.

Mo3 was a rising Dallas rapper who was associated with Boosie Badazz’s music label.

He was best known for his 2019 collab with Boosie, “Errybody (Remix).”

New Video Shows King Von Punching Quando Rondo Before Fatal Shooting

New footage has surfaced showing another angle of the moments leading up to the fatal shooting between King Von and Quando Rondo’s crews outside an Atlanta nightclub early Friday morning (Nov. 6).

This video shows King Von exiting a vehicle with a large group of people behind him.

He then walks up to Quando Rondo and punches him in the face, and continues a barrage of punches before the footage ends.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CHcL8YNnKYJ/

Unlike the first video released last weekend, the new video doesn’t show the actual shooting, but you can clearly see the group who’d gathered outside taking off running moments after Von punches Rondo.

King Von was fatally shot in the incident, along with two others, and three people were hospitalized with injuries.

22-year-old Timothy Leeks, a close friend of Quando Rondo and a member of his crew, was arrested Saturday (Nov. 7) and charged with King Von’s murder.

Leeks was also shot in the incident and was hospitalized at the time of his arrest.

Lucille Bridges, Mother of Civil Rights Activist Ruby Bridges, Dies at 86

Lucille Bridges, who made history in 1960 by walking with her then-6-year-old daughter Ruby Bridges into an all-white public elementary school in New Orleans, has died at the age of 86.

Ruby Bridges, who is now 66 years old, announced the sad news of her mom’s passing on Instagram Tuesday evening (Nov. 10).

“Today our country lost a hero,” Bridges shared. “Brave, progressive, a champion for change. She helped alter the course of so many lives by setting me out on my path as a six year old little girl. Our nation lost a Mother of the Civil Rights Movement today. And I lost my mom. I love you and am grateful for you. May you Rest In Peace.”

From the NY Post:

Bridges gave birth to Ruby in Tylertown, Mississippi, in 1954 — the same year as the landmark Brown vs. the Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas, decision that ended racial segregation in schools.

Her daughter went on to become an icon of the Civil Rights Movement, memorialized in Norman Rockwell’s famous painting “The Problem We All Live With” which depicts a tiny Ruby in a white dress carrying her notebooks and a ruler surrounded by much taller U.S. Marshals. But Ruby Bridges once credited her parents as the forces behind her history-making achievement.

“My parents are the real heroes,” the U.S. Marshals Service once quoted her as saying during a ceremony at an art gallery showing the painting. “They (sent me to that public school) because they felt it was the right thing to do.”

Mayor LaToya Cantrell recognized Lucille Bridges’ contributions in a statement Tuesday night.

“Today we mourn the loss of one of the mothers of the Civil Rights Movement in New Orleans with the passing of Lucille Bridges—mother of five, including Ruby Bridges,” Cantrell said. “May she rest in God’s perfect peace.”

Cantrell said Ruby’s father, Abon Bridges, was initially reluctant to send his daughter to the all-white William Frantz Elementary School as a first-grader in 1960, at the request of the NAACP. But his wife insisted.

According to the National Women’s History Museum, Lucille Bridges wanted her daughter to have the education she never had. She walked her daughter to school every day, the museum said.

“Lucille’s strength was unbounded during this period,” Cantrell said, adding: “Lucille insisted, seeing the action as an opportunity to help all Black children, and walked Ruby, with federal marshals, past chanting and taunting white protesters and to the schoolhouse. Mother and daughter both revealed their character and courage.”

Bridges, too, endured hardship as she pushed for her daughter to receive an equal education, WGNO-TV reported.

The news outlet said Bridges was born to sharecroppers in Mississippi and did not finish an elementary school education. But she was determined for her daughter to pursue the same opportunities that her white peers received.

The Bridges eventually moved to New Orleans in search of better work and education opportunities for their family, according to the National Women’s History Museum. Abon Bridges died in 1978.

The image of Ruby from the Norman Rockwell painting has gotten renewed attention in recent days in an adapted version that shows Vice President-elect Kamala Harris walking alongside Ruby. Harris is the first Black woman elected to the vice presidency.

50 Cent Calls Out T.I. Over Alleged King Von Shooting Comments: “They Will Kill You For What You Just Said”

T.I. found himself on the receiving end of some serious backlash over comments he made following King Von’s murder in Atlanta.

In an Instagram post Monday (Nov. 9), Tip addressed recent killings that have happened in his hometown.

“Atlanta is a beautiful progressive city filled with Black excellence. We uplift each other & win together. Stop coming here to kill each other. That sh*t is played out,” he wrote.

He added in the post’s caption: “Handle YOUR beefs in YOUR city. Thx in advance.”

Though Tip didn’t outright mention Von, or anyone else for that matter, people immediately thought his comment was about the 26-year-old Chicago rapper’s murder, which happened outside of a club in Atlanta over the weekend after an altercation with Quando Rondo’s crew.

Needless to say, folks were pissed at Tip for seemingly speaking on the situation, and King Von’s own sister, Kayla, immediately fired back on her own Instagram with allegations that she saw T.I. creeping with other women behind his wife Tiny’s back.

“Wasn’t u just out the other night wit other bitches at copper cove. I stay seeing u cheating mind you business @troubleman31,” she wrote on her story.

Kayla continued in a separate post: “And these r FACTS! But The energy he always putting in ppl business need to be the same energy he need to make it right wit his daughter! Now wea is my brother @50cent get on his a**!”

Responding to Kayla, 50 Cent took to Instagram to call T.I. out for his comments.

Tip later followed up his post with another one, saying that his previous post didn’t have anything to do with King Von’s murder.

Be Eazy.”

Government Officials Afraid of Trump Exposing U.S. Intelligence & Revealing Secrets He Learned in Office

Government officials are reportedly concerned over the safety of national security as the White House gets ready for a brand new administration.

A number of current and former officials, as well as political experts, have labeled President Donald Trump a “classic counterintelligence risk” thanks to his habit of attacking federal agencies that dare to go against him.

More recently, the president has completely undermined the USA’s voting process by falsely claiming that he’s been cheated out of a second presidential term … with absolutely ZERO evidence to back those claims up.

Those at the top of the government totem pole fear that Trump will continue his aggression by disclosing classified information during his last weeks in office or even long after his presidency.

“Anyone who is disgruntled, dissatisfied or aggrieved is a risk of disclosing classified information, whether as a current or former officeholder,” said former CIA officer David Priess. “Trump certainly fits that profile.”

Officials also pointed to Trump’s financial issues as a reason for him to possibly want to expose classified information.

“People with significant debt are always of grave concern to security professionals,” said Larry Pfeiffer, former chief of staff to CIA Director Michael V. Hayden.

“The human condition is a frail one. And people in dire situations make dire decisions. Many of the individuals who’ve committed espionage against our country are people who are financially vulnerable.”

In addition to declassifying information, officials believe Trump would also destroy documents in a desperate attempt to sabotage Biden’s presidency or to stop negative information from coming out about his own administration.

FWIW, while the Presidential Records Act requires the president to keep all documents related to their duties, it is loosely enforced.

Meanwhile, experts say American citizens need not worry about Trump exposing U.S. intelligence … because even though the man spent four years in the Oval Office, he wasn’t really paying attention to what was going on around him.

“A knowledgeable and informed president with Trump’s personality characteristics, including lack of self-discipline, would be a disaster,” said Jack Goldsmith, who is the co-author of After Trump: Reconstructing the Presidency and ran the Office of Legal Counsel at the Justice Department in the George W. Bush administration. “The only saving grace here is that he hasn’t been paying attention.”

Chicago Man Killed Girlfriend & Her Family Because She Wouldn’t Cook Him Breakfast or Braid His Hair

A Chicago man was arrested on three counts of first-degree murder for allegedly killing his girlfriend and her family in a domestic dispute outside his home this past summer.

According to police, 25-year-old John Matthews murdered his 24-year-old girlfriend, Shonta Harris, her mother, 56-year-old Frances Neal, and her sister, 27-year-old Jasmine Neal, after Harris said she didn’t want to cook him breakfast or braid his hair.

Prosecutors said Matthews and his girlfriend had been dating for two years and shared a son, who was four months old at the time of the attack in June.

Police said Harris spent Father’s Day at Matthews’ home and stayed over that night.

The next morning, Matthew asked Harris to cook for him, but she declined since she wasn’t feeling well. He also asked her to braid his hair, which she declined as well, which sent Harris into a rage.

An enraged Matthews started yelling at Harris and then punched her in the eye. In an attempt to defuse the situation, Matthews’ grandmother tried to take Harris outside, but Matthews followed, yelling that he hated Harris and that she “doesn’t do it for him.”

When Harris tried to call her mother for help, Matthews grabbed her phone and broke it.

Matthews’ grandmother then let Harris use her phone, and not long afterward, Harris’ mother and sister, Frances and Jasmine Neal, were outside to pick her up, prosecutors said.

Matthews yelled at the trio to leave his property, and refused to let them inside to get the baby.

Jasmine Neal then decided to call 911 herself and told the operator that Matthews had given her sister a black eye and was refusing to hand over their son.

As the arguing continued, Matthews pulled out a gun and shot Frances Neal seven times in her chest, back, arm and leg. He then shot Harris once in the chest.

Jasmine then ran into the street, “running for her life with her hands up,” according to prosecutors, but Matthews chased after her and shot her in the head.

Matthews’ grandmother then called 911 as her grandson fled, and identified him as the shooter.

Frances and Jasmine Neal were pronounced dead at the scene.

Harris was rushed to the hospital, where she gave police a lengthy videotaped statement identifying Matthews as the shooter and telling police about past instances of his violent behavior towards her, including one time when he disabled her cellphone 28 times so that she couldn’t call the police on him.

Harris died almost three months later on September 5th and her death was ruled a homicide.

Matthews fled to Iowa after the triple shooting and was only caught after he got into a car accident there in August, police said. He was extradited back to Illinois in November on the murder warrant.

Judge Charles Beach II ordered him to be held without bail Friday (Nov. 6) on three counts of first-degree murder, noting that “his own flesh and blood identified him as the shooter.”

Matthews’ attorney, Assistant Public Defender Rocio Armendariz, said in court that Matthews has no prior criminal history and had previously worked for Amazon.

Matthews is due back in court on November 30th.

King Von Autopsy Photos Allegedly Leaked by Quando Rondo’s Crew

Social media users are outraged after someone leaked graphic photos of slain rapper King Von’s body laying on an autopsy table.

King Von (real name: Dayvon Bennett) was shot and killed last Friday (Nov. 6) in a shootout between his crew and that of rival rapper Quando Rondo outside an Atlanta nightclub.

The 26-year-old Chicago rapper died while in surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital. The photos were likely taken after his body was taken to the morgue across the street from Grady Hospital, where autopsies are conducted.

The autopsy pictures were originally posted on an Instagram account believed to belong to Timothy Leeks (aka Lul Tim), who was arrested Saturday (Nov. 7) and has been charged with King Von’s murder.

While it hasn’t been confirmed, people are saying that Leeks is Quando Rondo’s half-brother, and Quando Rondo runs his IG, so it’s believed that he’s the one who shared the photo (considering the fact that Leeks is in jail right now).

The images were quickly deleted, but of course, this is the internet where nothing is truly ever deleted, and they have since begun circulating across IG, Facebook and Twitter.

Out of respect for King Von, as well as his friends and family, we will NOT be reposting the images here, but we have seen the photos, and can verify that they are authentic.

Chicago gang members are known to post autopsy and/or open casket photos of deceased “opps” (opposition/gang rivals) in an effort to disrespect them … but this latest act is so disrespectful that many social media users are up in arms, and are trying to figure out how the photos got in the hands of the wrong people in the first place.

“That sh*t is sick,” one fan responded in the comments of a post on Reddit. [Imagine[] people messing and taking pictures of your lifeless body when you die. If this happened to king von imagine how many pictures probably get taken and never get leaked.”

Chicago rapper Katie Got Bandz also spoke out about the leaked image, writing on Twitter: “THAT SH*T BOGUS AS HELL WHOEVER DID THAT SH*T YOU FOUL THE FAMILY CANT EVEN F**KEN GRIEVE UGH I HATE YOU INTERNET A** PPL.”

Sydney Barber Makes History As First Black Woman to Serve As U.S. Naval Academy Brigade Commander

After a historic weekend that saw the first Black woman becoming elected vice president of the United States comes news that a Black woman named Sydney Barber will serve as U.S. Naval Academy Brigade Commander for the first time ever.

Via USA Today:

Midshipman 1st Class Sydney Barber will be the first Black woman to serve as brigade commander at the U.S. Naval Academy, officials announced Monday.

Barber will hold the highest leadership position within the brigade for the spring semester, the 16th woman to hold the position since women were allowed to attend the Naval Academy beginning in 1976. The first female brigade commander was then-Midshipman 1st Class Juliane Gallina in 1992.

“Earning the title of brigade commander speaks volumes, but the title itself is not nearly as significant as the opportunity it brings to lead a team in doing something I believe will be truly special,” Barber said in a statement. “I am humbled to play a small role in this momentous season of American history.”

Barber, of Lake Forest, Illinois, is studying mechanical engineering and hopes to become a Marine Corps ground officer, officials said. She created a STEM mentorship program for young girls of color and organized a networking breakfast to connect current Black midshipmen with alumni.

In a video, Barber said women like Janie Mines, the first Black woman to graduate from the Naval Academy, motivate her to “follow her footsteps and be her wildest dream.”

Mines congratulated Barber on social media, saying: “You are my wildest dream.”

“This bought me to tears,” Mines said on LinkedIn. “40 years later. Thank you Sydney! Love you!”

The bridge commander is selected by senior leadership and the commandant’s staff. Midshipman 1st Class Ryan Chapman currently holds the semester-long position.

“She is a catalyst for action, a visionary, a listener, a doer and a person driven by compassion, by faith, by a fierce sense of passion and heart full of love,” Chapman said in a statement. “Sydney is the perfect person to lead the brigade.”

Barber has also interned with the Department of Energy’s Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

She was named a 2020 Truman Scholar national finalist for her research on developing legislative strategies to address education disparities in communities of color.

“Sydney stands out amongst her peers, for not only her exemplary record, but for her clear vision of how she intends to make the world a better place and her accompanying bias for action,” Lt. Cmdr. Darby Yeager said in a statement.

Barber is not the only Black woman to make history this year in military promotions. Lt. j.g. Madeline Swegle in July became the U.S. Navy’s first Black female tactical fighter pilot.

The news of Swegle’s achievement came the same day a female soldier graduated from the Army’s elite Special Forces course, becoming the first woman to join a Green Beret team. The Army does not release the identities of its service members “due to unique missions assigned upon graduation.”

Black women making history in positions of power … We LOVE to see it!

Timothy Leeks (Allegedly Quando Rondo’s Brother) Arrested & Charged With King Von’s Murder

A man believed to be the person who shot and killed Chicago rapper King Von in Atlanta early Friday morning (Nov. 7) has been arrested.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 22-year-old Timothy Leeks was taken into custody charged with felony murder Saturday after the Atlanta Police Department secured warrants.

There are unconfirmed reports that Leeks is the brother of rapper Quando Rondo, though that information hasn’t been verified.

It is true, however, that Quando Rondo and Leeks at least know each other very well, as evidenced by several videos shared via social media.

There’s also footage of Quando Rondo taking Leeks to the hospital after he was shot.

King Von (real name: Dayvon Bennett) was killed outside Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta just after 3 a.m. Friday.

Officials with the APD and GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation) said the incident started with an argument between two large groups of people, allegedly the entourages of King Von and Quando Rondo.

Police said the argument turned physical and guns were drawn, leading to a shootout where five people were shot, three of whom died (including King Von).

Leaked surveillance footage showed the exact moment King Von and one other person were shot.

Reports stated that two off-duty cops were present at the scene and tried to intervene by firing their weapons, however, investigators couldn’t confirm whether the officers struck any of the five people. Officials also said they weren’t sure if either of the groups fired at the officers either.

“There were two off-duty officers who were there working in a uniform capacity and of which one of them was actually next to his patrol car with his blue lights on,” said Deputy Chief Timothy Peek.

“So visibility was there but again, unfortunately, the incident happened and so we’re hopeful that with the GBI’s [Georgia Bureau of Investigation] assistance we can get to the bottom of everything.”

Regarding the arrest of Leeks, Atlanta police spokeswoman Marla Jean Rooker said Saturday in a statement to AJC: “Mr. Leeks is in police custody at Grady Hospital where he is undergoing treatment for a gunshot wound. The homicide of Bennett is closed with this arrest.”

King Von was an upcoming rapper from Chicago who released his debut studio album Welcome to O’Block on October 30th, just one week before he was killed. He was signed to fellow Chicago rapper Lil Durk’s OTF (Only The Family) Entertainment label.
