Lil Nas X wants the world to know that he’s a “bottom on the low.”

The openly gay rapper-singer makes the bold declaration in his new single “Holiday,” which, along with a very CGI-heavy music video, was released early Friday morning (Nov. 13).

Set on Christmas Eve 2220, the video follows Nas X through a futuristic North Pole workshop where he takes on the role of several different characters—including a silver-haired Santa and a skirt-wearing, dancing elf—and flies through the sky in a Dodge Challenger fashioned into a high-tech sleigh complete with robo-reindeer.

The video itself is one hell of a conversation starter, but it’s one line in the song in particular that has everyone talking.

“Ayy, can I pop sh*t? / I might bottom on the low, but I top sh*t,” he sing-raps.

“Switch the genre on you hoes, do a rock hit / I got the biggest damn song, f**k the charts, sis, I don’t need ’em.”

For those who are unaware, a “bottom” is someone who prefers to take a more “submissive” role in sexual situations (i.e. the “receiving partner”). When it comes to man-on-man sex, a bottom is the guy who is being penetrated.

Of course, the gays on Twitter went crazy over the revelation that Nas is a “bottom on the low.” Peep the responses below:

“Holiday” is the first single from Nas’ highly anticipated upcoming album, the follow-up to his debut EP 7, which featured his record-breaking hit single “Old Town Road,” as well as the popular follow-up tracks “Panini” an “Rodeo.”

He’s set to perform “Holiday” for the first time during his “Lil Nas X Concert Experience” virtual show, which will stream live via the online game platform Roblox this Saturday at 4 p.m. EST.
