“Old Town Road” Nominated for Country Music Award After Controversially Being Kicked Off Country Charts

Though Lil Nas X’s massive hit “Old Town Road” was kicked off the country charts earlier this year, the country music community is finally recognizing its country influence.

The Old Town Road remix featuring Billy Ray Cyrus was just nominated for a Country Music Association award in the Musical Event of the Year category, a category reserved for artists that don’t typically work together.

The 20-year-old tweeted out his appreciation for the nomination. “Thank you guys,” he wrote.

Nas X and Cyrus are nominated alongside more traditional country acts such as Blake Shelton and Garth Brooks, Maren Morris, and Brooks and Dunn.

There was speculation about whether “Old Town Road” would get any love at the CMAs.

It was reported earlier this month that many of the CMA voters had mixed feelings about the song, and the record-breaking single was, in fact, shut out of major categories like Single of the Year and Song of the Year.

But as you know controversy is nothing new for the country-trap song.

“Old Town Road” debuted at No. 19 on Billboard’s Hot Country Chart back in March, but was removed the following week because it wasn’t country enough.

Billboard explained it was removed for “several reasons, including its trap beat, a lack of country airplay, no involvement by Sony Music Nashville and mixed categorization and playlisting on leading streaming services.”

This sparked a conversation about how black artists have historically been unwelcome in the country music genre, despite white rappers being welcome in Hip-Hop.

Cyrus was one of the first country artists to support the song and Lil Nas X subsequently invited him to collaborate on a remix.

The result: “Old Town Road” (Remix) shot to No. 1 on the Hot 100 list and became the longest No. 1 single of all time, holding the top spot for 19 consecutive weeks.

“Old Town Road” won two MTV Video Music Awards earlier this week, including Song of the Year. Nas X also debuted his new single “Panini” at the show.

The 53rd CMAs will air live on November 13. No word on whether Lil Nas X will perform or attend.

Joe Finally Responds to 50 Cent Replacing Him With Trey Songz on “Power” Theme Song

For the past five seasons of Power, we’ve been hearing R&B crooner Joe sing the show’s famous theme song “Big Rich Town.”

However, when Season 6 debuted over the weekend and fans heard “They say this is a big rich town” for the first time this year … the voice was noticeably different. It wasn’t Joe. It was Trey Songz.

People were pissed:

The negative response was so huge that 50 Cent even took to Instagram to respond.

“These motherf**kers talking about Trey Songz. Man, you ain’t bought a motherf**king Joe CD in years, now you wanna talk about Trey Songz?

“Trey did that sh*t as a favor to me, man. Y’all keep this sh*t up, I’ma have to put that motherf**ker back the way it was.”

Trey Songz also took to IG to comment on folks not really rocking with the switch-up, joking that fans were hurting his feelings and he may need to be compensated for his “emotional agony and distress.”

Well, it’s been a few days, and Joe has finally taken to IG himself to reveal his thoughts on the whole situation.

Alongside an image calling himself “The Voice of Power,” the R&B singer wrote:

“All in favor say I! FANS HAVE A LOT OF #power! Ya’ll are amazing! Will hit y’all once I’m settled in AFRICA @50cent – ALL LOVE – (we made a classic!)”

50 has suggested that he can (and will) switch the theme song back to version with Joe…

…but should he? Let us know what you think in the comments!

Cardi B Reveals What She Went Through to Finish ‘Invasion of Privacy’ While Pregnant, Plus What Nipsey Hussle Told Her After Grammy Win

Cardi B is still riding on a high after winning a moonperson at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards earlier this week.

But as the accolades for her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, keep rolling in, she’s been reflecting on how hard she had to push and prove herself in order to release the finished product.

Cardi had quite a few things to say one Twitter on today (Aug. 28).

And as always, she was brutally honest as she shared the many struggles she faced while completing the album including worrying how her pregnancy would affect her career, battling depression, dealing with relationship issues with Offset, and pleading for features.

“On my album I showed different sides of me. From my intro talking about my [past]. To living my best life inspiring people. Relationship songs while I was going thru my own relationship drama to shaking ass like Bodak & that ASS. Every song went platinum!” she wrote.

“I did it all while I was pregnant. Throwing up, drowsy, terrible colds and in a rush to finish it so I can start doing music videos before I started showing. I spend 24 hours for months sleeping on a couch with my pregnant depressed ass in a studio,” she added.

And in another tweet, she claimed that several artists said no to appear on her album or were asking six figures for a feature.

Offset was out there pleading Cardi’s case on her behalf and she expressed gratitude for those that did agree to work with her.

She closed the reflection by recalling a kind comment the late Nipsey Hussle said to her after she won her Grammy earlier this year.

“When I won Nipsey said on a comment to me WHEN IS YOUR TIME IS YOUR TIME!” she wrote.

And she says she now passes the sentiment forward to upcoming artists.

“Now when I speak to upcoming [artists] or people who ask me for advice I tell them the same thing! WHEN IS YOUR TIME IS YOUR TIME and when it comes don’t let nobody take that special moment away from you!”

Jessi Combs, a professional racer and TV personality known for breaking land-speed records, died after a car crash Tuesday (Aug. 27) while attempting to go 500 mph to break a land-speed record. She was 36 years old.

KTVZ reports that the Harney County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of the crash around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Details about the crash haven’t been released, however, authorities are reportedly investigating.

Combs—affectionally referred to as “the fastest woman on four wheels”—was reportedly trying to beat her own land speed record when she was tragically killed in a jet-powered car in Oregon.

Her previous record, set in 2016, was 478 miles per hour in the same desert where Tuesday’s crash happened.

She earned her nickname in 2013 after she broke a record held by Lee Breedlove since 1965 by reaching 398 miles per hour.

Jessi was also known as a TV personality who made notable appearances on shows like Mythbusters and Overhaulin’.

Just a few days ago, Combs shared a photo on social media as she prepared for this most recent speed record attempt.

“It may seem a little crazy to walk directly into the line of fire… those who are willing, are those who achieve great things,” she wrote. “People say I’m crazy. I say thank you ;)”

Terry Madden, a member of Comb’s crew, confirmed her death via Instagram Wednesday morning (Aug. 28), calling Jessi “the most amazing spirit that I have ever or will ever know.”

He added that he was the first one on the scene of her “horrific accident” and said everything “humanly possible” was done to save her.

Three weeks prior to Combs’ tragic passing, Madden wrote a beautiful message to her on his Instagram page. He said that Combs had “changed his life” and was “hands down the best friend I could have ever asked for.”

Jessi’s last IG post, shared on August 25th, two days before she died, reads: “I just want to thank all of you for your support and loyalty. That’s all. Have a nice day :)”

Jessi Combs’ family released the following statement (via Jalopnik):

It is with extreme grief, and in celebration of her life that her family and close friends share that race car driver, and TV personality Jessi Combs, passed away in a fatal crash, where she was pursuing a land speed record in the North American Eagle on August, 27th 2019 on a dry lake bed in Oregon. The details of the crash have not been released at this time.

Jessi was known for her bright smile, positivity, and tenacious pursuit of the fulfillment of her dreams. Her drive was infectious, and she served as a role model for young Girls, and Women around the world. Combs was one of the rare dreamers with the bravery to turn those possibilities into reality, and she left this earth driving faster than any other woman in history.

Surrounded by her family and friends at the time of her passing, Jessi lived fearlessly and her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched.

Jessi is known for her hosting work on television series including “All Girls Garage,” “Overhaulin’,” “Extreme 4×4” and Autoblog’s “The List.”

Jessi is survived by her Mother Nina (Chuck, niece Nina Alayne) Darrington, Father Jamie (Sandy) Combs, brother Kelly Combs (Cary, Eli, Ethan and Anna), sisters Danielle Theis (Jacin, Justice, Nation), Brother Austin Darrington (Leah, Lane) Kayla Green, Kyrie Darrington, Natasha Darrington

A celebration of Jessi’s life in being planned and a foundation is being created to continue her efforts to empower women and young girls to follow their dreams.

Queens Middle School Teacher Arrested for Buying and Trading Child Porn Through Venmo

A middle school teacher in Queens, New York was arrested for buying and trading child pornography via Venmo.

Eric Paulino, 30, was arrested Tuesday (Aug. 27) after the FBI obtained a warrant to search his home and electronic devices. They found numerous images and videos of children engaged in sexual acts on his iPhone.

According to a complaint filed in Brooklyn federal court, Paulino used the payment app, Venmo, under an alias to “make purchases from a known purveyor of child pornography.” And he admitted to downloading and trading child pornography during the search.

Paulino was arraigned and released on Tuesday on $250,000 bond.

Paulino has worked as a special education teacher at I.S. 93 in Ridgewood, Queens since 2018. He first began working in the school system in 2012 as a substitute and then as a paraprofessional in 2013 at I.S. 187.

“Teachers are trusted by parents to protect and educate their children, which makes the thought of a teacher allegedly downloading illegal child pornography all that more disturbing,” FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge William Sweeney said in a statement.

However, at this time, prosecutors do not believe Paulino downloaded or viewed child pornography while on school grounds.

“While he was at work and on school grounds, they’re saying that there’s no evidence that that happened, and there’s no allegations he had done anything inappropriate with any students of his,” Paulino’s lawyer Jeffery Greco said. “It’s a distinction that I think is important in a case like this.”

Despite the charges against him, Paulino still has a job—for right now—but he has been reassigned and will not have any interaction with students.

“We’re reassigning this teacher away from the classroom because of this deeply disturbing allegation. He will not have any interaction with students,” confirmed Department of Education spokeswoman Danielle Filson.

Judge Mathis Investigated for Criminal Assault After Allegedly Spitting in Valet’s Face

Judge Greg Mathis is reportedly the subject of a criminal investigation for assault after he allegedly spit in a valet’s face.

According to TMZ, Mathis went all the way off on a valet in a “profanity-laced schooling” at Flood’s Bar and Grille in Detroit after he was left waiting for his Rolls Royce for at least 10-15 minutes.

Sources say Mathis’ anger grew when the valet explained he had to travel a long way to get another car and apologized for accidentally taking his keys with him.

After cursing the guy out, Mathis allegedly spit on him and left the scene.

The valet filed a police report accusing Mathis of criminal assault, and police are said to be investigating the incident, which was reportedly seen by multiple witnesses.

Judge Mathis allegedly spitting on someone is interesting, considering he’s presided over at least once case where spitting on someone was an issue.

Watch the video below to see his opinion on the matter:

Mathis has yet to respond to the spitting allegations.

Richard Pryor’s Son Insinuates He Was Molested by Paul Mooney: “It Happened When I Was Young”

Richard Pryor’s son seemingly confirmed allegations that he was sexually violated—possibly raped—as a teenager by his late father’s colleague and friend, comedian Paul Mooney.

A TMZ reporter caught up with Richard Pryor Jr. on a NYC street on Tuesday (Aug. 27) and asked him about the sexual misconduct allegations involving Mooney in the 80s that were recently made by his father’s former bodyguard, Rashon Kahn.

Though he didn’t specifically name Mooney, he did confirm that he was violated by someone when he was underage and that it was NOT consensual.

“Whatever happened in my life, it happened when I was young. Way before the ’80s,” Pryor Jr. told TMZ.

“How can any relationship be consensual if I was a teenager?” he added when the cameraman asked if a consensual sexual relationship had occurred.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE2QtxLD_xM

Earlier this week in an interview promoting his upcoming tell-all book, Kahn claimed that Richard Pryor and Mooney’s relationship began to deteriorate in 1986 because “Mooney had f**ked Richard’s son by that time.”

He also claimed that the Pryor Sr. put out a $1 million hit on Mooney for taking advantage of his son.

Pryor Jr. refused to comment on this part of the story and walked away from the TMZ reporter.

Again, Pryor Jr. never explicitly named Mooney and said that the whatever happened occurred prior to 1986 as Kahn initially claimed. However, he never denied that he was sexually molested when he was underage.

A rep for Mooney denied Kahn’s allegations and cited photographic evidence that Mooney and Richard Pryor Sr. were spotted cordially hanging out in 1999—more the 20 years after Kahn claims the sexual misconduct took place.

The rep also stressed that Pryor Jr. did not mention Mooney by name while speaking with TMZ.

However, Richard Pryor’s widow, Jennifer Lee, says that during a family event, Pryor Jr. previously revealed Mooney sexually assaulted him. She also says she has a recording of her step-son’s revelation.

Popeyes Says They’re COMPLETELY SOLD OUT of Their Popular Chicken Sandwiches, But They’ll BRB

If you haven’t been able to get your hands on one of those famous Popeyes chicken sandwiches, then we have some bad news for you. Popeyes says they are COMPLETELY SOLD OUT of their most popular menu item.

Popeyes released a statement Tuesday (Aug. 27) announcing that it will likely sell out of their chicken sandwiches before the end of this week—just two weeks after it was added to the menu.

Popeyes said they initially estimated that they would have enough sandwiches to make it through September, but because y’all greedy asses went to Popeyes in droves (and raved about how good the sandwiches are, and how they’re supposedly better than Chick-fil-A’s) they ran out of supplies well before then.

But worry not, because the fast-food chain says they are “working tirelessly” to bring the sandwiches back “as soon as possible.” And if you would like to be one of the first to know when the sandwiches are available, you should download their mobile app for Android and iOS.

Read their full statement below:

“We have seen an extraordinary demand for the new Popeyes Chicken Sandwich following our nationwide launch on August 12. It has been amazing to see our guests share their love for our brand and for the new Chicken Sandwich on social media and beyond, and we are truly humbled and grateful for their support.

“The demand for the new Chicken Sandwich in the first few weeks following launch far exceeded our very optimistic expectations. In fact, Popeyes aggressively forecasted demand through the end of September and has already sold through that inventory.

“As a result, Popeyes restaurants across the country are expected to sell out of the Chicken Sandwich by the end of this week. We, along with our suppliers, are working tirelessly to bring the new sandwich back to guests as soon as possible.

“To be among the first to know when the Chicken Sandwich is available, download the Popeyes app in the App Store or Google Play and sign up for push notifications.”

Unsurprisingly, Twitter is NOT happy about the chicken sandwich shortage:

Serena Williams’ Husband Epically Trolls Maria Sharapova With D.A.R.E. Shirt During Hyped U.S. Open Match

For those of you who may still be wondering how Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian ended up together, last night was a clear example of why they’re a perfect match. Let’s just say Ohanian goes HARD for his wife.

While Serena was serving break points left and right during her hyped match against Maria Sharapova, Ohanian was serving epic shade from the sidelines.

The longstanding feud between Serena and Sharapova has been dubbed a “tennis rivalry” by the media—but there’s really no competition on the court.

Last night (Aug. 26), Serena easily crushed Sharapova (6-1, 6-1) during their first-round U.S. Open match, her 19th consecutive win over her foe and 20th overall.

Ohanian cheered his wife on in her player’s box throughout the match while wearing a buttoned jacket, all the while, secretly trolling Sharapova.

As soon as Serena claimed her victory, Ohanian unbuttoned his jacket and revealed a vintage D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) shirt.

The Reddit co-founder was clearly trolling Sharapova with the shirt.

Back in 2016, the Russian player was banned from the sport for two years by the World Anti-Doping Agency after testing positive for the banned drug Meldonium.

During her two-year suspension, Sharapova wrote some shady things about Serena in her 2017 memoir, including suggesting that the reason she hadn’t beaten the tennis legend since 2004 was because Serena was driven by her hate for Sharapova and determined never to lose to her again.

So needless to say, Twitter was not mad at Ohanian’s shady and petty ways once his D.A.R.E. shirt was spotted.

And Serena displayed her own shade following the match as well, but towards another foe.

When asked about the U.S. Tennis Association’s decision to keep the umpire she infamously clashed with at last year’s U.S. Open from working any of her or Venus Williams’ matches during the 2019 tournament, she gave Carlos Ramos the “I don’t know her” treatment.

“Yeah, I don’t know who that is,” she said during her post-Sharapova march press conference.

Serena and Ohanian wed in 2017 and share one daughter, 23-month-old Alexis Ohanian Jr.

Hopefully, a couple that shades together, stays together.

I bet they laughed all night long about how they both dragged their “rival” on and off the court.

Leslie Jones Abruptly Quits “SNL” Weeks Ahead of 45th Season Premiere to Further Her Career

In an unexpected move, Leslie Jones has reportedly decided to leave Saturday Night Live.

Sources tell TMZ Jones decided not to return for the 45th season of SNL because of her growing career opportunities. The new season will premiere next month.

Via TMZ:

Sources close to the show tell TMZ … Leslie is NOT returning for season 45 of ‘SNL’ and it’s all her decision.

Fact is … Leslie’s got a lot more on her plate now, thanks in no small part to her time as one of the biggest stars on ‘SNL’ — where her personality, wit and skits made her a hot commodity in Hollywood.

Jones is currently filming the Coming to America sequel starring fellow SNL alum, Eddie Murphy—who was just announced as an SNL season 45 host. Jones is also preparing for a Netflix comedy special.

TMZ reports that Jones, 51, also has other major projects in the works, including films.

Jones joined SNL in 2013 as a writer, began performing in sketches the following year and was subsequently added to the cast.

During her 5-season tenure, she became a popular member and earned two Emmy nominations in the supporting comedy actress category.

Jones is clearly attempting to capitalize on her growing Hollywood star power and striking while the iron is hot.

It’s unfortunate she’s bowing out of SNL without a proper sendoff, but it may be the risk she needs to take.

K. Michelle Goes Off on Blac Chyna for Pursuing Music Career: Sucking D**k Didn’t Work, Now You Wanna Be a Singer?!

K. Michelle is never one to hold her tongue.

Though she has tried to have a nicer approach over her past few seasons of Love & Hip-Hop, even choosing to go by her first name Kimberly, some people make her bring out the old K. Michelle.

During a recent scene on Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood, Kimberly was having a pleasant conversation with Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Brittany B by the beach when the topic switched to Blac Chyna.

Kimberly was stunned to learn that the reality star was ready to jump onto the music scene … with Brittany’s help.

And despite Brittany saying Chyna was serious and “has a tone,” Kimberly unleashed and expressed her displeasure with newcomers thinking they can get into the game without passion or even talent.

“This industry is the only industry where a mothaf**ka can just walk in without an audition,” she said.

“This music is something you fight for your whole life. It’s not something that you just automatically know that you wanna do. This be people’s last resort. The gift that God gave me? That is not the last resort to your d*ck sucking that didn’t work.”

Kimberly continued to go off on Chyna and other “fake ass artists” in her green screen confessional.

“I literally last year y’all, rolled myself onstage to sing for my fans in a wheelchair. So why the f**k do you think I wanna talk about these fake ass artists. I bust my ass. I love this sh*t. It’s how I eat. I’m not finna entertain the people who just out here playing.”

Chyna seems to only have cameo appearances in this season of LHHH, but she may want to stay clear of Kimberly.

K. Michelle obviously doesn’t see it for Chyna trying her hand at music and would most likely tell that to Chyna’s face if they ever ran into each other.

Normani Gives Us Black Cheerleader Goodness With Show-Stopping “Motivation” VMAs Performance

There are those who have the gift to spot the potential in rising stars. They can see the diamond in the rough that others see as unripe fruit.

Take Jay-Z, for example, who saw a global superstar where others saw a gangly girl from Barbados who warbled her way through Mariah’s catalog at talent shows.

But let me tell you something: When it comes to Normani, you don’t have to be Jay-Z to know that you’re witnessing the next big thing. This girl has the confidence of Beyoncé, the dance skills of Ciara and the girl-next-door beauty of Kelly Rowland.

She flawlessly brought to life her basketball-themed visuals from her music video for “Motivation.” She even added a VMA-appropriate costume strip that looked, for a moment, that it was headed toward Janet Jackson wardrobe-malfunction status, but instead it just segued into a dance break that was part gymnastics routine and part Magic City twerk session.

In the words of Nicki Minaj, “Normani is that BITCH!

Missy Elliott Runs Through Her Hits, Gets Her Roses and Basks in Her Greatness at the 2019 VMAs

If you consider yourself a fan of popular music or the music video art form in any way, then you simply must acknowledge the genius of Missy Elliott.

The number of iconic, groundbreaking music videos she has under her belt run the gamut: “Supa Fly (I Can’t Stand the Rain),” “Get Ur Freak On,” “She’s a Bitch,” “Sock It 2 Me,” “Work It” and so many more.

As one of the preeminent forces in music video excellence, it is arguably a crime that it’s taken MTV this long to recognize Missy for the Video Vanguard Award in the first place.

That’s certainly the argument that The Read, a massively popular Black culture podcast, and its hosts Crissle and Kid Fury have been making. But hey, better late than never.

For her Vanguard moment, Missy recreated some of the iconic visuals from her videography, including the giant trash bag look from “Supa Dupa Fly” and even brought out an all-growed up Alyson Stoner from the “Work It” video.

Watch Missy Elliott flip it and reverse it on the MTV stage below … and keep scrolling for a video tribute from her famous friends, plus the video of her Vanguard Award acceptance speech.

Lil Nas X Takes Us to the Future With Debut “Panini” Performance at the 2019 MTV VMAs

While we’re living in 2019, Lil Nas X is living in the future—the year 2079 to be exact!

Pop music’s newest sensation put on a futuristic performance of his new single “Panini” at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards Monday night (Aug. 26).

Via Rolling Stone:

The performance opened with a cheeky bit that imagined a future where Lil Nas X was not only President of the United States of America, but releasing the 3,162nd remix of “Old Town Road,” featuring artists like Young Sandwich, the Ghost of Benjamin Franklin and Old Thug.

After a snippet of “Old Town Road,” the rapper launched into “Panini,” embracing a Tron-like aesthetic as he lip synced to the tune and moved through some intricate choreography with a cadre of back-up dancers.

Lil Nas X is nominated in eight categories at this year’s VMAs: Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist (presented by Taco Bell), Best Collaboration, Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Direction, Best Editing, and Best Art Direction.

Lizzo Presents Her Whole Ass and Shakes Her Big-Girl Tail Feathers at the 2019 MTV VMAs

If you somehow have lived under a rock and missed the rise of Lizzo, then the VMAs is your chance to play catch up.

As a multi-hyphenate rapper and singer who is unabashedly proud of her size and style, Lizzo represents well for those who can’t stand up for themselves.

To give voice to her pro-woman, pro-black stance, Lizzo played her hits “Truth Hurts” and “Good as Hell” as a giant inflatable ass stood behind her. Because if you don’t accept Lizzo for who she is you can kiss her big ole ass.

No one said Lizzo was a queen of subtlety here.

If you caught Lizzo’s BET performance and was expecting a repeat of the flute stunt, then you’d better think again. Lizzo isn’t trying to give you lazy predictability.

I will say, however, that I was disappointed she didn’t bring out Missy for their song “Tempo.” Given that she’s the Video Vanguard honoree this year, it would’ve been easy for her to pop up on stage. But hey, Lizzo by herself is still a refreshing tall glass of water.

Tommie Lee Says She’s NEVER Returning to Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta: “It Was Misery and Depression There”

Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta has lost one of its cast members for good. Tommie Lee confirms that she’s never returning to the popular reality show.

Tommie took to social media over the weekend to let her followers know that she’s done with LHHATL and slammed the show for causing nothing but “misery and depression.”

“No I am not nor will I ever return to love&hiphop so pls stop asking that error is dead!” she wrote. “I’m much happier to not be under that umbrella it was misery and depression there.

She also assured fans that she meant to use the word “error,” (instead of “era”) suggesting that being part of the show was a mistake.

“How I spelled it is exactly how if feel about it. Error,” she wrote.

Tommie joined LHHATL in 2016 as Scrapp DeLeon’s girlfriend and starred a full-time cast member for three rocky seasons.

Known for her countless legal troubles, the 35-year-old dodged a big bullet earlier this year after pleading guilty cruelty to children in the first degree, simple battery, family violence, and disrupting public school.

She was sentenced to 10 years of prison, but none of it will be served. The judge ordered her to complete a residential recovery program and 12 months of successful aftercare with licensed doctors.

The case stemmed from an incident at her daughter’s middle school where Tommie allegedly slapped her daughter and slammed her into a locker for misbehaving in school.

Last month, Tommie told Hello Beautiful that reports of the incident were exaggerated. “I’m the last person who’s going to hurt my kids,” she said.

“Everything in that report was untrue. Physical abuse is the last form of punishment for children in my household. I can count the times I had to be physical with my children on my hand because I could take their phone or put them on punishment. We have a good relationship.”

19-Year-Old Pensacola Rapper Lil Dell on the Run from Police for Murder

An up and coming rapper out of Pensacola, Florida is wanted for murder and is on the run from police after he was involved in a fatal shooting a few months ago that claimed the life of an innocent young woman.

Three teenagers have already been arrested in connection to the murder, but police say a fourth, 19-year-old Cordellious Dyess—also known by his rap name Lil Dell—is still at large.

Police said 20-year-old Elizabeth Harris was shot in a parking lot near Platinum Nightclub in Pensacola after leaving a concert around 2 a.m. on Memorial Day and later died at the hospital.

The police report stated that 44 spent shell casings were recovered from the scene, and authorities were able to determine that seven firearms in total were used in the May 27th shooting, which stemmed from a feud between two rival gangs that dates back to 2017.

An eyewitness told police several Black men in the parking lot believed to be affiliated with the neighborhood gang “Bro Gang” began shooting at an opposing gang member and eventually sped away.

Elizabeth Harris, an innocent bystander, was struck by a single bullet.

17-year-old Markeasia James, 18-year-old Tequan Warren, and 19-year-old Dante Walker were all arrested for Harris’ murder.

Warren and James are facing a number of charges, including first-degree murder, attempted murder, and aggravated assault, while Walker was charged with accessory to murder for driving the getaway vehicle and not reporting the crime to police.

Police are still looking for Dyess, who is facing the same charges.

If convicted, Warren, James and Dyess could face life in prison.

Future’s Alleged 6th Baby Mama Eliza Reign Files Paternity Suit, Requests Child Support

A Florida woman is so sure that Future is the father of her baby that she’s ready to take him to court.

According to TMZ, Eliza Seraphin has filed legal documents in Broward County claiming the rapper is the father of her four-month-old daughter.

She says Future cut off all contact after she gave birth in April, but she’s not letting him off the hook from his daddy duties.

Seraphin—an Instagram star also known as Eliza Reign—is petitioning for the court to legally recognize Nayvadius Wilburn (Future’s full name) as the baby’s father.

She also wants present and retroactive child support and for Future to reimburse her for hospital expenses incurred during the pregnancy.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1Mw94shiFs/

While TMZ reports that the baby girl would be Future’s seventh child, all of the rapper’s baby mamas and kids may have thrown off the count. Seraphin’s daughter would be his sixth child, if in fact his.

Seraphin made headlines earlier this year when she gave birth in April and news of Future’s (alleged) sixth baby by a sixth woman made the rounds.

And now that Seraphin is back in the news, TMZ and other publications may have mistakenly tacked on an extra number based on what was previously reported.

Future has neither confirmed nor denied being the father of Seraphin’s baby. She first alleged that he was the father in 2018 and defended him on social media, claiming that they had private conversations about the baby.

As of right now, Future has five confirmed children with five different women, including a five-year-old son with singer Ciara. He welcomed his most recent child on Christmas Day in 2018.

We will keep you updated on Seraphin and Future’s paternity case because this story is definitely not going away any time soon.

Keke Palmer Officially Becomes Permanent “Good Morning America” Co-Host on Her 26th Birthday

Actress Keke Palmer is celebrating her 26th birthday today (Aug. 26), and she just got the best gift ever.

After serving as a guest co-host all summer long of Good Morning America‘s third hour Strahan & Sara, Palmer has officially been named a permanent host of the show–and her name is even in the title!

“We love Keke because she stepped up to the plate and joined our family and carried the ball,” host Sara Haines said as she and Michael Strahan presented the birthday gift to Palmer. “So, we thought we’d something really special for you.”

At that moment, the daytime talk show’s new title was unveiled: GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke.

“It’s been a blast having Keke co-host this summer. She brings a unique and spontaneous energy viewers love,” the show’s executive producer Rory Albanese said in a statement. “She’s a multi-talented artist, and I’m thrilled to have her join Michael and Sara every day.”

We first reported last month that ABC was seriously considered adding Palmer to the program after being impressed with her performance. Just weeks later, it reported that Palmer was in the final stages of contract negotiations.

This is the second rebranding of the Good Morning America extension show which premiered last year as GMA Day.

ABC believed the program would be and easy way to increase revenue for the GMA franchise and compete with the fourth hour of NBC’s Today show. Unfortunately, it has failed to match the ratings of the show it replaced, The Chew.

Hopefully, Palmer’s addition will help bring in a younger demographic and increase the overall viewership.
