Fiona Apple Speaks on “Rude” Heckler Who Criticized Her Weight

Last week, Fiona Apple broke down during a Portland concert after a fan shouted at the singer to “get healthy!”

The Grammy-winning songstress reportedly had the woman removed before barely getting through her next number and leaving the stage. The show then came to an abrupt end.

News of the incident has been rampant, sparking a debate about the constant criticism of the female body. It also reminded many that Apple was one of the first public figures to publicly discuss having an eating disorder, which she did in a 1998 interview with RollingStone.

Now the singer is touching on what happened during Thursday’s show in a discussion with PitchFork and the 36-year-old is standing by her decision to walk off stage.

“At this point, emotionally, it doesn’t get easier to hear those criticisms — but it gets easier to be resolute about my reaction to it. Which is just: ‘Go ahead and call me ugly, call me skinny, call me crazy and speculate as much as you want, but not at a show,'” she said. “I don’t think that there’s anything melt-downy about that. I don’t have any problem getting angry at someone who insults me in the middle of a show.”

According to Sterogum, the fan shouted, “Fiona, get healthy! We want to see you in 10 years. I saw you 20 years ago and you were beautiful.”

That certainly didn’t sit well with Apple, who understandably isn’t fond of the constant attention her appearance has gotten over the years. Apple continued:

“It’s a sensitive subject because it’s not something that should be talked about, because there is nothing wrong with me. I’m healthy and I shouldn’t even have to say any of that.

“What makes me unhealthy and puts me in danger is that kind of scrutiny itself. It’s the same as being bullied at school, and just because you’re getting older, it doesn’t mean that you aren’t hurt by it. You could make anybody cry if you told them that they’re ugly.

“She hurt my feelings. I don’t think what I look like is relevant. And by the way, this whole ‘unhealthy’ thing has me baffled. It’s really confusing to me why anyone would have an opinion about that. And [the heckling] just takes you out of [the live performance].

“People around me try to tell me that’s not going to happen, but it always happens. It’s really disappointing. I can’t laugh—I’m an emotional person. And I’m just very sensitive about that. Many people are, not just women. The heckler said, ‘I saw you 20 years ago, and you were pretty.’ That’s just rude, and I don’t want her there anymore because it’s my stage, you know?

“I got very angry. But I’m going to try and be more prepared for that. I’m assuming that people are going to start to say those kinds of things just to egg me on now. Those people are going to have to leave if they interrupt me. I need to be able to do my job.”

The singer is currently on tour with Blake Mills for her most recent album “The Idler’s Wheel.”

The First “I, Frankenstein” Trailer Has Debuted, and It’s Freakishly Awesome!

Love em or hate em, supernatural horror stories are here to stay. Not only are there a slew of new TV shows, like “Dracula” and “Sleepy Hollow,” about creepy things that go bump in the night, but several news films feature such premises.

One of these films is “I, Frankenstein.” The fantasy action flick is set in a dystopian modern climate and centers on the famous Dr. Victor Frankenstein’s monstrous creation, Adam.

But Adam’s threatening presence isn’t the only pressing matter at hand. There’s also a battle brewing between gargoyles and demons.

Not surprisingly, the story was developed by the creators of the vampire series “Underworld.” The eerie film features Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Mirando Otto, Jai Courtney, and Yvonne Strahovski.

The newest trailer for the flick has hit the web and we’d be lying if we send we weren’t intrigued by the forthcoming project. It seems to have great imagery and artfully choreographed fights.

Stephen Colbert Marries Couple Whose Wedding was Ruined by Government Shutdown

If there’s one good thing about the is whole Government Shutdown nonsense, and there’s ONLY one good thing about it, it’s how much fun “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report” are having mocking it.

We’ve seen several side-splitting rants from Jon Stewart and this week, Stephen Colbert took it upon himself to help a couple whose D.C. wedding ceremony was canceled as a result of the shutdown.

The funnyman, who just so happens to be an ordained minister (true story!), decided to host the couple’s wedding on his show. The hilarity that follows is not to be missed.

The couple, Mike Cassesso and MaiLien Le, were wed in front of a cheap Lincoln Memorial backdrop and Smoky the Bear was there, since the shutdown has put him out of work.

In classic Colbert fashion, the Emmy-winner makes the entire event about him, telling the bride to be not to “ruin this for me!” and that he has been dieting for “like 15 minutes” in preparation for it.

The real treat is when Colbert brings out Mandy “national treasure” Patinkin to sing a Jewish prayer, which he turns into a deadpan plug for the new season of “Homeland.”

The bizarrely funny segment concluded with Broadway sensation Audra McDonald belting out  a show tune rendition of “White Wedding” as the couple danced.

Madonna: I Was Raped at Knifepoint My First Year in New York

There isn’t much we don’t know about Madonna, given that the legendary superstar has been pretty candid about her personal experiences for much of her career.

Yet in a new essay for her Harper’s Bazaar cover story, she goes into details about a harrowing experience she’s rarely discussed; her sexual assault over 30 years ago.

Back in the late 80s’, Madonna was just starting out in her career and, like most aspiring New York artists, struggled to survive while making a name for herself. Not only was her apartment broken into several times, she also faced the horrifying ordeal of being raped at knifepoint.

“New York wasn’t everything I thought it would be,” she writes. “It did not welcome me with open arms. The first year, I was held up at gunpoint. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back, and had my apartment broken into three times. I don’t know why; I had nothing of value after they took my radio the first time.”

The “Lucky Star” singer previously discussed the shocking incident in a 1995 interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

In the essay, the Grammy-winner also described the ups and downs of being at the mercy of Manhattan. “The tall buildings and the massive scale of New York took my breath away,” she added. “I felt like I had plugged into another universe.”

“But I was also scared sh*tless and freaked out by the smell of piss and vomit everywhere, especially in the entryway of my third-floor walk-up.”

But, as we know, she was determined to make it in the music industry. “I was defiant. Hell-bent on surviving. On making it,” she said. “But it was hard and it was lonely, and I had to dare myself every day to keep going,”

Fiona Apple Breaks Down, Leaves Stage After Heckler Shouts “Get Healthy!”

Making negative comments about a person’s weight typically doesn’t end well and that’s certainly the case when said comments are being made to a singer while she’s entertaining a large crowd.

According to Stereogum, Fiona Apple was performing a show in Portland, Oregon Thursday night when a fan yelled out an unnerving comment about her weight.

“Fiona! Get healthy! We want to see you in 10 years!” the female audience member yelled out.

This understandably struck a chord with the “Every Single Night” singer who made it a point to remove the singer from the venue.

“I am healthy! Who the f*ck do you think you are? I want you to get the f*ck out of here. I want the house lights on so I watch you leave!” the Grammy-winner retorted.

As the concert-goer exited she added, “I saw you 20 years ago and you were beautiful!”

The 36-year-old reportedly had trouble collecting herself after the incident and tearfully got through her next song “Waltz (Better Than Fine),” before exiting the stage.

This is not the first time, Apple’s health has generated attention. When Apple rose to fame in the late 90s’, her dramatically thin appearance sparked rumors that she had an eating disorder.

As her debut album ‘Tidal’ climbed the charts, many couldn’t help but focus on her appearance in the music video for “Criminal.”

In a 1998 interview with Rolling Stone, she admitted to having major issues with food and said that the illness stemmed from being sexually assaulted at just 12 years old by an intruder at her mother’s New York home.

“I definitely did have an eating disorder.  What was really frustrating for me was that everyone thought I was anorexic, and I wasn’t. I was just really depressed and self-loathing,” she said.

“For me, it wasn’t about getting thin, it was about getting rid of the bait that was attached to my body. A lot of it came from the self-loathing that came from being raped at the point of developing my voluptuousness,” she explained.  “I just thought that if you had a body and if you had anything on you that could be grabbed, it would be grabbed. So I did purposely get rid of it.”

Apple’s more recent weight loss made headlines last year after she appeared at a series of concerts looking alarmingly frail.

Chris Brown Confesses He Was Raped at 8 Years Old by Teenage Girl

If you ever wondered why Chris Brown is such an emotional ticking time bomb, one piece of that puzzle just fell into place with his sobering interview with the Guardian.

In the candid conversation, Chris reveals to the reporter that he lost his virginity at the age of 8 to a 14-year-old girl. Yes, you read that number correctly, EIGHT.

Here’s the key portion from the Guardian article:

He lost his virginity when he was eight years old, to a local girl who was 14 or 15. Seriously? “Yeah, really. Uh-huh.” He grins and chuckles. “It’s different in the country.” Brown grew up with a great gang of boy cousins, and they watched so much porn that he was raring to go. “By that point, we were already kind of like hot to trot, you know what I’m saying? Like, girls, we weren’t afraid to talk to them; I wasn’t afraid. So, at eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it. You can be the best at it.”

Like many men who suffer from sexual assault as children at the hands of women, Chris attempts to pass this traumatic incident off as one of his own choosing. But what eight year olds do you know that go around choosing to have full-blown sex with women nearly twice their age? It’s one thing to kiss or touch but to have full-blown penetrative sex at 8 years old is only one thing: Rape.

To fully grasp the severity of what happened to Chris, look at his kindergarten photo.

He’s either 5 or 6 in this photo. Meaning that two or three years after this picture, Chris Brown was having full-blown sex with a teenage girl. There’s no way that any sane person can evaluate that situation and not view it as horribly, disturbingly off.

Chris says that having sex so young prepared him to be some kind of sex god, but that’s a bluff. He has to justify what happened to him in a way that doesn’t compromise his masculinity. So he tells himself that he was lucky to bed teenage girls at 8 years old because, you know, he got a head start.

But his volcanic-like temper, lack of self-control and catastrophic relationship with women all speak to the truth: Being raped/molested as a child left him emotionally damaged. He may or may not be willing to confront this reality, but that’s what it is.

Interestingly, Lil’ Wayne went through a similarly traumatic loss of virginity experience at the age of 11. But unlike Chris, Wayne doesn’t try to justify it or spin it as something to be proud of. He admits that being forced to have sex as a pre-pubescent child took its toll on him as an adult. He spoke about the incident back in 2009 during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel.

Wayne: The girl was older than me. She cut the lights off, I don’t know what happened. She pulled my pants down.

Kimmel: How much older was she?

Wayne: I was 11, she was like 14. And when she pulled my pants down when I went to feel her like ‘What are you doing?’ I felt that she was naked so I just stopped like ‘Oh.’.

Kimmel: Wow. That’s an intense thing. So do you feel like that affected you negatively in your adulthood?

Wayne: It did, yeah.

The fact that Lil’ Wayne is more self-aware and honest about what happened to him than Chris is kind of unbelievable. I hate to say it, but I wish Chris was a little more like Lil’ Wayne.

I think Chris might be able to honestly confront some of the scars of his childhood once he’s inevitably booked for an episode of Iyanla’s “Fix My Life.” Till then, we’ll just have to pray that the broken little boy inside of him is able to keep it together.

Kerry Washington Still Won’t Talk About Her Secret Wedding

Kerry Washington doesn’t like to talk about her personal life, but the 36-year-old actress found herself prodded about her secret wedding during a recent panel discussion.

On why she chose not to tell her personal business to the public — i.e. her wedding to San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha — she said, “I hate keeping secrets; that is the worst thing for me, because I always want to talk about it. I am really private about my personal life.”

She does like to talk about her work, though.

On her process, Kerry explained: “I try to be really naked emotionally in my work, and I am not holding back at all when it comes to my work. I am giving all that I can in my work….So my work belongs to everyone—because that’s the choice I made—and my life belongs to me.”

She talked a little more in her new ESSENCE cover story (excerpts courtesy of USA Today):

On faith and relationships: “I believe in surrendering my life over to my Creator. I feel as if my relationship with God is the most important thing in my life. If I can get that relationship right, it helps me to understand how to negotiate every other relationship.”

On passionate Scandal fans: “We are in people’s homes. People are sitting on their couches and they’re in a relationship with us. So when people come up to me, they’re saying, ‘What are you going to do next week?’ and ‘What are you going to say?’ and ‘What are you going to wear?’ They’re in a relationship in an ongoing way.”

On her initial meeting with Shonda Rhimes: “I was like, ‘I love this woman. And I love this material and I want to do this.’ ”

Did J.Lo’s Diva Demands Cause Her to Lose a Film Role?

Jennifer Lopez is said to have “dropped out” of her starring role in the upcoming movie “The 33” — which is based on the 2010 news story of 33 Chilean miners who were finally rescued after being trapped underground for 69 days.

According to the tabloid, the National Enquirer, J. Lo was acting way too insecure for producers and everyone got sick of her. And then she, too, got sick of everyone and let go of the role.

They claim:

Insiders on the film say they couldn’t believe how the ruthless diva kept making damn sure that no female in the flick would be cuter or curvier than her!

J.Lo was set to play MARIA SEGOVIA, who made headlines when she pitched a tent and waited endlessly for the miners, including her brother, to be rescued.

“But the film also tells the stories of other wives, girlfriends and mothers who waited – and Jennifer went nuts making sure no actress cast in those roles would be prettier, or have a sexier body than she does,” said a source on the film.

“She kept going through hundreds of casting photos and whenever she spotted a female who looked too cute or sexy, she’d slash a big, black ‘X’ across their face with a Sharpie! The girl doesn’t want any competition.”

I would like to think Jennifer Lopez isn’t that crazy. She knows her film career isn’t what it used to be, so why would she drop out of the sort of low budget film that would get her the kind of critical acclaim she so needs to be taken seriously as an actress? You know, finally.

Maybe it’s scheduling conflicts with American Idol. I’d hate to think she’s this petty although I can totally see that.

NeNe Leakes Forced to Appear on “Bethenny” by Ellen DeGeneres?

NeNe “VERY RICH” Leakes was reportedly told that if she wanted to do the uber popular daytime talk show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, she would have to appear on the other daytime talk show she’s executive producing.

That would be former Real Housewife of New York star Bethenny Frankel‘s new show “Bethenny,” which had a successful test run last summer, but is currently having a bit of problem with the ratings. Yes, they’re on par with the ratings of similar shows that launched last year, but a lot of those have since been cancelled.

So that, of course, means that Bethenny needs better guests. Enter NeNe and the alleged bum-rushing.

A source told Radar: “If NeNe wanted to go on Ellen [in the future,] she had to agree to appear on Bethenny’s talk show. NeNe wasn’t happy that she was being forced to go on Bethenny’s talk show.”

I’m not sure why. I mean, Bethenny is still the most successful housewife in franchise history, so…oh wait, I just answered my own question.

The source added, “The booker for Bethenny’s show used to work for Ellen, and this was made clear to NeNe that this order was coming directly from Ellen. NeNe didn’t want to ruffle any feathers, so she did it.”

FOX & Friends Host Brian Kilmeade Assumes Maria Molina “Grew Up On Tacos”

The fools over at Fox News are always cooking up something ridiculous and this time it was tacos and a super stupid remark.

On Friday’s episode of “Fox & Friends,” Brian Kilmeade was hosting a National Taco Day segment with Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Fox News personality Maria Molina when he asked Molina, “You grew up on tacos, correct?”

Yup, that actually happened. The question is offensive in itself but it gets worse when you consider the fact that Molina is Nicaraguan born and grew up in Florida.

Hasselbeck stepped in to defuse the situation, and when she’s the lesser of two crazies in the room … that’s a problem.

Brian: “What are tips we need to know to do it correctly? You grew up on tacos, correct?”

Elisabeth: You gotta layer it right?

Maria: No I did not grow up on tacos. I’m Nicaraguan. And it’s not a native food.

Brian: Oh…I didn’t know.

Elisabeth: But if you DID…if you DID grow up on tacos…

Dumb shit like this is nothing new for the network but damn, this is pretty embarrassing. Didn’t people learn anything from Mayor Joe Maturo’s “I might have tacos when I go home” fiasco?

Here’s the Trailer for “Metástasis:” The Spanish Version of “Breaking Bad”

If you’re currently mourning the end of “Breaking Bad” or are close to finishing up a Neflix binge watch of the series and worried about what to watch next, you may be in luck!

That is, if you’re up for a Spanish language re-telling of the hit AMC series. “Metástasis” is set to debut on Univision and follows the same plot as the original series.

Walter Blanco (Diego Trujillo), is a high school teacher who is diagnosed with terminal cancer and subsequently decides to start a drug ring with one of his troubled former students Jesse (Roberto Urbina), which will no doubt be pronounced Yessie.

The main difference is that “Metástasis” is set in Durango, Mexico rather than New Mexico. For those of you that don’t know, Metastasis signifies the spread of cancer from one part of the body to another.

From the new promo that was just released, it looks like a shot-for-shot remake of the Emmy-winning drama and that’s totally cool with us.

It would be pretty hilarious if, like to original, millions of people became hooked on the show and couldn’t shut up about it all over again.

Will you tune into Univision to follow the trials and tribulations of Mr. Blanco, even though you already know exactly how it’s going to play out?

Rosario Dawson: “I Didn’t Have Sex Until I Was 20”

Given that Rosario Dawson is an international sex symbol, it may come as a surprise to some that she didn’t start having sex until she entered her twenties.

The actress, who began acting at the age of 15, sat down with Huff Post Live to discuss her career — including her first film “Kids” — and revealed that despite the film’s adult themes, she was far from the oversexed teen she portrayed in the controversial flick.

“I got spotted on the street. I auditioned. I worked on it for four days,” the 34-year-old said.

Anyone’s who’s seen the film knows it’s hard to take. The Larry Clark drama centers on a group of teens, who abuse drugs and have unprotected sex. Yet for Dawson, life didn’t imitate art.

“I didn’t even have sex until I was 20,” she said. “My mom was a teenage mom, I was deathly afraid of being a teenage mom.”

Films like “25th Hour” and “Rent” established the star as both sultry and talented. She’s also proven to be socially conscious and outspoken, lending her support to causes like Voto Latino and women’s events like V Day.

Her recent candidness regarding her sexuality is refreshing though, considering the fact that waiting to have sex is often viewed negatively.

Rob Kardashian is Still Fat, Struggling with Massive Weight Gain

Health experts say that men lose weight more easily and rapidly than women, but Rob Kardashian is the exception to that rule.

Like Janet Jackson, Rob Kardashian’s weight has yo-yoed up and down over the last few years. He was in fighting form in 2011 for his stint on “Dancing with the Stars” but he’s been chubba-chubba since 2012.

Earlier this year, Rob seemed to be on the right track as he was enthusiastically making an effort to exercise and train with the Game.

But more than six months later, Rob Kardashian is still undeniably fat as the latest pictures prove.

The Daily Mail highlighted Rob’s latest attempt to get fit but apparently, he’s downgraded from going out on runs to just walking. While something is certainly better than nothing, Rob is gonna have to kick it up a notch if he hopes to make a dent in his Pillsbury Dough belly anytime soon.

Kendrick Lamar Disses Drake in Leaked BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher Video

Kendrick Lamar started a ton of controversy when he called out several rappers, including Drake, on his infamous “Control” verse back in August, and it looks like the Compton rapper is trying to add even more fuel to the flame.

This time he’s singled out Drake, using his appearance in this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards cypher to call the Canadian rapper out for his “sensitivity.”

While the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards doesn’t air until later this month (Tuesday, October 15th at 8 pm to be exact), a clip from Kendrick’s cypher has leaked, highlighting the moment where he disses Drake. Or at least that’s what everyone is speculating.

“Nothing’s been the same since they dropped ‘Control’ / And tucked the sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes,” raps Kendrick. “Ha-ha, jokes on you / High-five, I’m bullet proof / Your shits will never penetrate / Pin the tail on the donkey, boy, you’ve been a fake.”

Though no official word has been made regarding whether or not the verse was actually a direct diss to Drake, ‘Nothing Was the Same’ is the name of Drake’s new album, and since everyone makes fun of Drake for being a “sensitive rapper,” Kendrick must be talking about him, right?

Britney Spears is Showing Signs of Life Again … Let Her Live

For about a month now, Britney Spears has shown signs that she is among the alert and very much aware wing of humanity again.

I first noticed signs of life in her Good Morning America interview. Then came another interview with Mario Lopez in which she displayed the kind of goofy and cutesy behavior that caused so many people to develop a soft spot for her.

Just today, I heard audio from a radio interview in which she offered a very thoughtful, measured response about the role sex plays in her music career.

Fans who have been waiting for Britney to drop hints that she won’t continue living under the state of sedation were giddy to see this, but the ultimate test for that is the most obvious: Will Britney Jean Spears at least try to dance again?

I’ve prayed for this day to arrive for so long, and finally, the Legendary Ms. Britney Spears is somewhat limber again. Won’t God do it? Now if only we could get the universe to leak Beyoncé’s new single.

In any event, I say somewhat given that Britney’s still not dancing at the level she used to. I used to be hung up on that, but in hindsight, I feel like many of her fans forget that Britney hurt her knee several years ago, which suggests even if you bypassed her breakdown, chances are that she couldn’t offer “I’m A Slave 4 U” styled choreography again even if she wanted to.

Like Saint Damita Jo Jackson, Britney might be afraid to give her all for fear of ending up walking with a cane or something for the rest of her life.

I wouldn’t risk that either just to please people who are going to give me their money regardless of whether or not I give them an 8-count on stage or a sad ass shimmy.

Janet has managed to give you good dancing without risking her knee or the insurance policy that allows her to keep working. From the looks of the “Work Bitch” video, Britney Spears, aka the Patron Saint of White Girls Dancing, is learning to do the same.

Maybe they found the proper dosage or perhaps Britney has learned to concur her battles with anxiety and whatever other ailment that left her empty in the eyes and completely stiff on the lower half of her body. Whatever caused this reinvigorated Britney to return to the world, I welcome it with open arms and bent knees.

A few people have been very cynical towards the video. “She must be using a body double.” … “She still looks stiff.” … “I wish she would really dance.” … “I’ve seen her do better.”

I don’t know what video some of your folks were watching, but I absolutely love Britney’s latest video and I applaud for her trying to dance again.

Like, Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and Tina Knowles: Won’t you sum’bitches ever learn to ease up on the criticism?

Britney is not using a damn body double — at least not this time.

No, Britney’s rhythm isn’t completely back, but truth be told, she was always a little stiff even at her peak of serving the girls on stage.

As for the other critiques, give the girl a damn break. Besides doing her speed walks on stage and on set, Britney Spears hasn’t moved her legs in a music video or performance in this fashion since Christina Aguilera was mud wrestling in awful, career destroying videos.

Britney actually got on the ground to dance. Again, that’s Carson Daly is a teen heartthrob old.

Another critique I can’t stand of all things “Work Bitch” is certain criticisms of the song. Okay, you don’t have to like the song, but to call it “generic” or “cliché” is for lack of better phrase, some fuck shit.

The one good thing about Britney Spears post-breakdown is that even if she’s not really present in the process, her music has remained some of the most forward-leaning pop tracks in the mainstream.

“Work Bitch” is not your garden variety EDM track. There’s nothing like it on American radio. I’ve read this sentiment elsewhere, but I agree that Britney does cleverly release some very weird pop music and make it appear to be the norm. Also, “Work Bitch” is pretty much the most inspiring song ever. It’s like Iyanla, only catchier and less annoying. Oprah, you should’ve premiered the video.

Bottom line, despite a breakdown, a bad knee and years of questions over her mental state, Britney Spears has hung on — long enough to where she looks like she’s actually enjoying what she’s doing again.

The execution isn’t perfect, but her energy is there. If that alone doesn’t move you in anyway, I demand you at least go look the last 20 seconds of the new video again.

That girl was giving, so give Britney her due.

Jon Stewart Has Been Blasting the “Zebra Queef” Republicans All Week Over Government Shutdown

Our favorite person on TV Jon Stewart has been letting the Republicans HAVE IT all week on the “Daily Show.”

After a three-month absence, Jon Stewart returned to television earlier this month, and just in time too.

As of Tuesday, October 1st 2013 the United States government has been shutdown, for the first time in nearly 20 years, and the night before official shutdown, Stewart let loose on the GOP, mocking them over their angst over the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, aka “The End of America As We Know It for Reasons No One is Able to Clearly Explain,” as he put it.

He then explained to Republican representatives how the government works, since they seem they have forgotten:

Apparently, they are allowed to do that — [members of Congress] are allowed to make laws, and the President is allowed to sign laws. And what do we do if those laws are unconstitutional? Well apparently nine precogs in magic robes got together, looked at the Affordable Care Act, and decided that it was not unconstitutional.

So everything appears to have been done literally by the book. This bill is now a law, vetted by the very system these Republicans claim to love — but to hear Republicans tell it, the whole thing could just be avoided if President Obama would just meet him halfway!

The bill is a fucking law! Are you familiar with how the word works? Did you see the Giants game on Sunday? Okay: they lost 31 to 7. And you know what the Giants didn’t say after that game? ‘If you don’t give us 25 more points by midnight on Monday, we are gonna shut down the NFL!’

Stewart continued his assault on the “Republican Morons” Tuesday night and even turned his irritation to the idiotic Fox News network, saying directly to them “F**K YOU!!!” in response to their nonchalant attitude towards the shutdown and how it affects people.

And on Wednesday night, just one hour before the third day of the “Shutstorm 2013,” Jon called Republicans “self-righteous Orwellian zebra queefs” and called “bullshit” on their claims that the Democrats are to blame, telling them to “stop trying to photo-op your way out of responsibility for this catastrophe.”

Here’s Chris Brown & Drake Hanging Out in the Studio, Being Nice to Each Other

Has hell frozen over? Is it the twelfth of never? Are pigs flying? A BLUE MOON MUST BE OUTSIDE.

It looks like Chris Brown and Drake really did make up and hug it out over drinks backstage at the iHeartRadio music festival last month.

Chris posted a video (WATCH ABOVE!) on his website of himself and Drake, and other artists, smiling and laughing in a recording studio, hinting that the two could be working on new music together.

But don’t get too excited, Drizzy and Breezy fans. After sharing the video on his official Facebook page last night, Chris mysteriously removed the link this morning.

It turns out the clip is an old one, but we’re sure there’s a good reason Chris shared it in the first place.

Drake and Chris Brown have been at odds for some time now (ever since they found out they were banging the same chick — Rihanna), throwing shots at each other in interviews and on records, but a few weeks back at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, the two reportedly hugged out their differences and talked about working on music together in the future.

“Drake came with his whole crew, and watched Chris’ entire set,” A source told Page Six. “They were backstage hugging and drinking.”

Rihanna on “Gangsta” Princess Diana … and The Haters

Earlier in the year, a feminist writer by the name of Camille Paglia drew a comparison between Rihanna and Princess Diana earlier arguing that both displayed a “ravishingly seductive flirtation” with the media and used every photo opps to convey “allure, defiance, or revenge.”

She was shaded into the ground because of it and I don’t blame the people who participated. In any event, Rihanna did comment on Princess Di in the latest issue of Glamour magazine.

On the fallen royal, Princess Rih-Rih said, “You know who is the best who ever did it? Princess Diana. She was like—she killed it. Every look was right. She was gangsta with her clothes. She had these crazy hats. She got oversize jackets. I loved everything she wore!”

Well alright.

Meanwhile, she also had this to say about the haters:

GLAMOUR: Ah, the haters. Do you pay attention to what they say?

RIHANNA: I can’t run from it. You can’t change who you are. It’s important for me to know who I am and work with that. They’re gonna keep knocking away until all this comes crashing down. But I’m not gonna ever crash. I’m in control.

GLAMOUR: You seem pretty fearless these days.

RIHANNA: I had to regain my fearlessness because it did go away for a little bit. My mother said something to me a few years ago: “I’ve seen something in your eyes I’ve never seen before: fear.” She was like, “No, this is not you.” I just got back to being OK with myself.

Sinéad O’Connor is Worried About Miley Cyrus; Miley Thinks She’s Nuts

Sinéad O’Connor wrote an open letter to Miley Cyrus “in the spirit of motherliness and with love.”

Sinéad O’Connor is reaching out to the pop star following Girl Billy Ray citing her “Nothing Compares 2 U” video as inspiration behind her latest music video, “Wrecking Ball.”

The gist of the letter goes as follows (via TIME):

“I am extremely concerned for you that those around you have led you to believe, or encouraged you in your own belief, that it is in any way ‘cool’ to be naked and licking sledgehammers in your videos,” O’Connor writes.

“The music business doesn’t give a shit about you, or any of us,” she adds. “They will prostitute you for all you are worth, and cleverly make you think its what YOU wanted.. and when you end up in rehab as a result of being prostituted, ‘they’ will be sunning themselves on their yachts in Antigua, which they bought by selling your body and you will find yourself very alone.”

Miley caught wind of it and her response was less than kind:

I imagine Miley Cyrus will never be name dropping Sinéad O’Connor again. I’m pretty sure the letter went right over her head.

All Miley cares about is getting attention, be it good or bad. Unfortunately, more times than not, that’s all that matters — especially with the way pop culture works now.

That said, actions still have consequences. Miley will eventually catch a clap back, but it’ll likely take a very, very long time.

Big Boi’s Wife Sherlita Patton Files for Divorce

There’s a separation in Stankonia!

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Big Boi‘s wife, Sherlita M. Patton, has filed for divorce. The two, who were married in February 2002, have already separated according to court documents.

The documents were filed in Fulton County Superior Court and the complaint has Sherlita claiming that her marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

She’s seeking alimony along with an “equitable division of marital property and attorney’s fees.” In other words, she wants half and then some.

The two also have two children — ages 18 and 12 — and Sherlita wants sole custody of the minor. And of course, child support.

Damn, she is mad. What did you do to her, Big Boi?
