Michael Sam’s Oprah Winfrey Network “Documentary Series” Put On Hold Indefinitely

The Oprah Winfrey Network “documentary series” (which is just a fancy word for reality show) that was set to follow the NFL’s first openly gay player Michael Sam has been postponed indefinitely.

OWN and reps for the newly drafted St. Louis Rams player made the announcement that she show had been called off last Friday (May 16), just two days after the news of the reality show was released.

“After careful consideration and discussion with the St. Louis Rams, ‘The Untitled Michael Sam Project’ has been postponed, allowing Michael the best opportunity to achieve his dreams of making the team,” OWN president Erik Logan said in a statement.

“OWN is about elevating and empowering people to achieve their best. It’s clear that we, along with the world, recognize the opportunity that Michael has in this moment. We will continue to support him in his journey to earn a spot playing for the Rams.”

Touted by Logan as a “historic moment in professional sports,” the docuseries was to follow Sam with a camera team at training camp as well as his personal life.

But Sam’s agent Cameron Weiss said postponing the series would give Sam the chance to work during his first year in the NFL without any distractions.

“After meeting with the Rams we felt it is best to postpone the project,” Weiss said. “This will allow for Michael to have total focus on football, and will ensure no distractions to his teammates. Everybody involved remains committed to this project and understands its historical importance as well as its positive message.”

In the days leading up to the show being called off, sports writers and even NFL players alike spoke on how bad the idea was to begin with.

Former NFL QB Shaun Thing told TMZ Sports that though he’s proud of the guy, he believed Sam’s show would seriously hurt his chances of actually making the team. “After what happened with Tebow, the last thing an NFL team wants is a media circus. They just want to go about their business and focus on winning.”

King also said he believed the teams may have heard about the show before the draft, which could have been one of the reasons behind the former University of Missouri defense end falling to the 7th round. “I had him pegged as a 5th round guy. I think the reason he dropped is because teams are afraid [of things like the reality show].”

King added, “I’m happy he got drafted. I support Michael Sam … but I think the reality show is a mistake.”

ESPN.com writer Jason Whitlock — who calls himself a supporter of Sam, and a “reformed homophobe” who “believes the equality of black and brown people is connected to the quality and freedom granted to gays and lesbian” — wrote that Sam’s decision to do the reality show was a “gigantic tactical error for Sam and his supporters within the LGBT community.”

But why?

Oprah and her foundering TV network do not care about X’s and O’s. They care about salacious and sensational human drama and the kind of XOXOXs that take place in the bedroom. For context, OWN is the documentary-series home for Lindsay Lohan, the child actress-turned-serial drug-rehabber. That is not written to suggest OWN does not do and aspire to do high-end TV journalism (Lance Armstrong interview). It’s written to imply that even Oprah’s standards cave to the demands of Nielsen ratings.

Deadspin columnist Drew Magary wrote:

Sam just pissed away a whole lot of the goodwill he’d built up for himself these past few months. They can class up the announcement all they like. They can call it a “documentary” series even though it’s a dirty little secret that even acclaimed documentary filmmakers will coach subjects and have them do multiple takes. They can do all that and it still won’t scrub away the fact that reality shows are fucking beat and no one worth a shit bothers to do them.

He went on to say that reality shows are “always a transparent and pathetic excuse in self-branding” and also talked about his skepticism on the kiss Sam shared with his boyfriend on camera when he found out the news he was drafted:

Now that Sam has a reality show, can anyone believe with 100 percent confidence that the kiss he shared with his boyfriend on camera last Saturday was a real and true moment? They probably had a dress rehearsal. Sam was probably standing on a taped X to make sure he hit his mark. The whole thing was probably choreographed by Macklemore.

The Rams apparently didn’t know about the OWN show before they drafted him, and even though it was reported that the NFL did have knowledge of the series, the league has since denied it.

A spokesman for the league said they “did not know anything about [Sam’s OWN deal] until after the draft and have not agreed to anything about it.”

Some of Michael Sam’s new teammates were also upset about possible plans for the show, and there’s been no word yet on whether the documentary will be shelved forever, but it if he’s Smart, Sam will hold off on doing a reality TV (or “DOCU-SERIES”) show until he actually MAKES the team.

“HURRY UP AND DRAFT ME!”: Johnny Manziel’s Desperate Text to the Cleveland Browns

Desperate times call for desperate measures … which is probably exactly what now former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel was thinking when he sent out a text message desperately pleading for the Cleveland Browns to draft him.

Less than a week after Browns owner Jimmy Haslam reportedly said a homeless person told him to draft Manziel, Cleveland’s quarterback coach Dowell Loggains revealed in an interview that Drake’s BFF was frantically texting him on the opening night of the NFL draft literally BEGGING to be drafted:

“We’re sitting there and they keep showing Johnny on T.V. and Johnny and I are texting and he shoots me a text and he says, ‘I wish you guys would come get me. Hurry up and draft me because I want to be there. I want to wreck this league together.’

“When I got that text, I forwarded it to the owner and to the head coach (Mike Pettine),” Loggains said Thursday on Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly on Arkansas ESPN. “I’m like ‘this guy wants to be here. He wants to be part of it.’ As soon as that happened, Mr. Haslam said, ‘pull the trigger. We’re trading up to go get this guy.'”

Loggains also made it a point to note that Manziel was the top quarterback on the team’s draft board so it wouldn’t seem like his eleventh-hour text was what got him on the team.

“It was Manziel and then everybody else,” Loggains said.

Tupac’s Last Words Were “F*ck You,” Las Vegas Cop Says

It’s been nearly two decades since Tupac Shakur was fatally shot in Las Vegas, yet there is still a ton of doubt and mystery surrounding the rapper’s murder, despite it being one of the most high profile cases in history.

But now, a former Las Vegas Metro police officer who was at the scene of the crime has revealed what he claims were Tupac’s last words: “F*ck You”

Chris Carroll says he was on bike patrol on the Las Vegas Strip the night of September 7, 1996 when he got a call about a shooting following a Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Grand.

Carroll recalls opening Tupac’s bullet-ridden passenger side door and the 25-year-old falling into his arms, covered in blood:

“I finally get the car door to open, and as I pull it open, the guy inside came right out, like he was leaning against the door. And at first I thought the guy was going to bust out of the door right on top of me; I thought this was his plan of attack, so to speak.

“But then I notice that he’s not coming out of the door; he was falling out of it. So I grabbed him with my left arm and he falls into me, and I’ve still got my gun in the other hand. He’s covered with blood, and I immediately notice that the guy’s got a ton of gold on—a necklace and other jewelry—and all of the gold is covered in blood. That has always left an image in my mind.

[…]

“After I pulled him out, Suge starts yelling at him, ‘Pac! Pac!’ And he just keeps yelling it. And the guy I’m holding is trying to yell back at him. He’s sitting up and he’s struggling to get the words out, but he can’t really do it.

“And as Suge is yelling ‘Pac!,’ I look down and I realize that this is Tupac Shakur. At the time, it didn’t really mean much of anything to me. I was more concerned that this was a bad situation to be in with just one other cop.

“There’s something in police work called the ‘dying declaration,’ a legal concept that, in a nutshell, basically says that if someone who believes they’re going to die gives out the name of a suspect or is able to explain what happened, that’s not considered hearsay in court when they’re not there to testify; it’s admissible evidence.

“So I’m looking at Tupac, and he’s trying to yell back at Suge, and I’m asking him, ‘Who shot you? What happened? Who did it?’ And he was just kind of ignoring me. He was making eye contact with me here and there, but he’s trying to yell at Suge. And I kept asking over and over, ‘Who did this? Who shot you?’ And he basically kept ignoring me.

“And then I saw in his face, in his movements, all of a sudden in the snap of a finger, he changed. And he went from struggling to speak, being noncooperative, to an ‘I’m at peace’ type of thing. Just like that.

“He went from fighting to ‘I can’t do it.’ And when he made that transition, he looked at me, and he’s looking right in my eyes. And that’s when I looked at him and said one more time, ‘Who shot you?’

“He looked at me and he took a breath to get the words out, and he opened his mouth, and I thought I was actually going to get some cooperation. And then the words came out: ‘Fuck you.’

“After that, he started gurgling and slipping out of consciousness. At that point, an ambulance showed up, and he went into unconsciousness.

Carroll says the paramedics eventually showed up, loaded Pac into an ambulance and transported him to the hospital, where he went into surgery and was heavily sedated. The rapper was placed on life-support and put into a drug-induced coma before dying on September 13th.

“I talked to the cop who rode in the ambulance with him,” Carroll recalls. “He said Tupac never came out of it, and he never said anything at the hospital. There was nothing else.”

Beyoncé, Jay Z, Solange & Mama Tina Do Lunch in New Orleans (PHOTOS)

Jay Z and Solange may or may not have shopped for jewelry together after their infamous elevator fight video leaked to the public last week. But we know one thing they did do together for sure, and that’s have lunch with Beyoncé and Mama Tina.

The Knowles-Carter family — Bey, Jay, Blue, Mama Tina, Julez, Solange and her boyfriend Alan Ferguson — was spotted having lunch together at Cafe Amelie in New Orleans Saturday (May 17), where they dined for more than 2 hours, according to TMZ.

A team of bodyguards were reportedly waiting outside the New Orleans eatery to make sure no one could get a clear shot of the fam, but one person was able to snap a photo of Beyoncé as she left:

The person who snapped this pic says when it came time to leave, Jay and Beyonce darted in separate directions to the car … forcing the photog to choose one. The queen won.

Beyoncé later shared photos of the whole family from the lunch on her official website and Instagram.

The outing follows the release of Beyoncé, Jay Z & Solange’s joint statement, in which Jay and Solo both acknowledged “their share of responsibility” for the confrontation, which happened as they were leaving a Met Gala after-party at the Standard Hotel in New York City.

“They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family,” the statement read. “At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

Check out a few more pics from last Saturday’s family lunch here:

Ray J Offering Kim Kardashian Sex Tape Profits As Wedding Gift

In yet another move to remind the world that he “hit it first,” Ray J, most famous for having sex with Kim Kardashian, reportedly plans to write Kim and her husband-to-be Kanye West a check for around $47,000, which, according to TMZ, represents his profits from his “epic porn tape” with Kim from January through April of this year.

From TMZ:

Here’s the breakdown of the wedding gift. Mind you, this is just Ray J’s cut:

— January $6,135.60
— February $20,097.31
— March $9,674.76
— April $10,931.52
— TOTAL: $46,840.13

Now get this … sources from Vivid Entertainment tell us the tape has grossed $50 MILLION!

Remember, we’re told Kim gets AT LEAST as much as Ray J, though we don’t know exactly how much.

We’ve reached out to Kim to see if she’ll accept Ray’s gift, but so far no word back. We’re told … if she doesn’t want it he’ll donate the money to her favorite charity.

Why Ray J? Why?

Stevie J & Joseline’s Fake Marriage Exposed on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta”

It took her three seasons, but Joseline Hernandez is FINALLY someone’s wife. Or is she?

Last summer, Benzino‘s Hip Hop Hop Weekly magazine “broke the story FIRST!!!” about Stevie J and Joseline’s “marriage,” which we all raised our eyebrows to, and this week’s episode of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” basically confirmed our skepticism.

In LHHATL’s Season 3 opener, we’re introduced to “Mr. & Mrs. Jordan,” who proudly show off their massive home, which Stevie J’s daughter Ava calls a castle.

But before you go congratulating the “newlyweds” on their “new home,” let’s fast forward to Episode 4, when Stevie J’s former assistant and Joseline’s former booking agent Dawn exposes them for their lies.

When Dawn meets up with Stevie J’s baby mama MiMi Faust to chat, she tells her that she no longer works for Stevie and Joseline, and she uses that as an opportunity to expose the couple for their fakeness.

“Everything is fake,” Dawn says. Not only is their marriage fake, but the ring Joseline wears is from an ex boyfriend.

MiMi says she knew Stevie and Joseline were lying all along because they could never produce a marriage certificate. Dawn said they knew that issue would come up, which is why Stevie got Benzino to announce their so-called “marriage” on the cover of Hip Hop Weekly.

MiMi also mentions a text Stevie J sent her the day the story broke: “The day that the whole thing went on Twitter, he texted me maybe an hour before he did it and said, ‘I need to talk to you about the next stunt I’m about to pull.'”

MiMi would know a thing or two about stunts, but we’re not talking about her right now, so moving on…

Stevie later calls up Dawn for a face-to-face meeting to let her know that she’s officially been fired, but Dawn says that she can’t be fired because she has a “folder full of documents” to prove that Stevie and “his wife are nothing but a bunch of broke ass frauds.”

Among a number things, this is what Dawn exposes about Stevie J and Joseline:

1. The apartment Joseline was living in was in Dawn’s name. “I signed for the place yo bitch was living at,” she tells Stevie. “Joseline couldn’t even get her own place because she was evicted and had bad credit. I signed my name on the dotted line,” she adds in her confessional.

2. Stevie J’s cars are rentals, and he and Joseline don’t own their home either. She even pulls out a sheet of paper with the actual homeowners’ information to prove it. “I know who owns my home,” Stevie responds.

3. Once again, Stevie and Joseline’s marriage is as fake as a $3 bill, and she pulls out enlarged screenshots of text messages she printed out from Joseline, who told her that she knows that the article in Hip Hop Weekly is fake.

4. The last time Stevie J had a hit was when Ronald Reagan was in office. That’s actually not true (he actually did have a few hits in the mid-2000’s during the Bush Administration), but it was funny when Dawn told him that. “We’re waiting. The world is waiting, for another motherf**king hit,” she said.

And on that note, Dawn not-so politely tells Stevie that he can’t fire her because she’s the one who deposits the money into their accounts, which allows her to “get mine off the motherf**king top,” as she points out while “making it rain” with bank receipts and deposit slips.

“See I know everything. I know where the money is, and where it’s not,” Dawn tells viewers.

Drake Stands Up for Himself, Defends Style Against Haters on Instagram

Drake gets picked on a lot on social media.

In addition to the countless memes floating all over the Internet, there are entire Tumblr pages dedicated to Drizzy, like “Drake’s Faces,” “Drake’s New Friends” and, our favorite (and the funniest), “Drake the type…

While the Young Money rapper rarely (if ever) responds to the Internet’s taunts, he stood up for himself against haters on Instagram over the weekend.

On Saturday (May 17), Drake posted several photos on Instagram documenting his recent trip to Houston, and in one photo, some commenters were making fun of the outfit he had on, which prompted a response from the rapper.

“Yeah damn my style sucks you’re right,” he commented. “I should start wearing men’s Giuseppe shoes with the gold buckles so I can be more swag in 2014. I apologize to all my fans for not wearing Giuseppe.”

You can make fun of his faces, you can point out the fact that ALL of his friends are new friends, and you can even criticize him for being a bit of a softy … but one thing you will not do is get away with making fun of Drake’s impeccable style and sense of fashion!

Donald Trump Blasts Kenya Moore: “You’re The Most Evil Woman I’ve Ever Met In My Life!”

Donald Trump says Kenya Moore from the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” is pure evil!

The fiery 43-year-old reality TV star appears on the upcoming season of NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” and she just got fired this week, the Daily Mail reports.

But before she heard the infamous “You’re Fired!” phrase from the Trumpster, the man with the bad hair piece blasted Kenya as “the most evil woman” he’s “ever met” in his entire life.

OUCH!

Sources also revealed that Kenya had a huge falling out with actress Vivica Fox after she reportedly tweeted a message from Vivica’s phone complaining about menopause.

Kenya bickered with other contestants too, like “Cosby Show” actress Keshia Knight Pulliam and Beverly Hills Housewife Brandi Glanville.

From MailOnline:

Star Magazine has already called Kenya “The Most Hated Apprentice,” citing a show insider who claimed “Kenya is rude and a holy terror to the crew. She demands special treatment and extra days off and refuses to use the show’s stylists. Instead, she brings in a huge entourage, and they’ve completely taken over the set.”

The insider also claimed she has become close with another reality star, Kate Gosselin, adding: “Given that they’re both overbearing divas, it’s kind of a shock that they’re so close. But, they’re tight and refuse to befriend anyone else.”

And we’re told that Mr Trump was left furious by the Detroit-born former beauty queen’s behavior on the show during filming over the past few months.

A source said: “Kenya was fired and it was really one of the most brutal firings ever seen on The Apprentice. She stole Vivica Fox’s cell phone and posted a message on Twitter complaining about the menopause pretending it was from Viv.

“And that’s not forgetting her rows with Brandi and Keisha. Mr Trump had truly had enough of her by the time it was time to fire her. He told he ‘You’re the most evil woman I’ve ever met in my life.”

MailOnline has found a tweet seemingly posted on Vivica’s Twitter account, that reads: ‘This menopause id (sic) killing me I cant think straight, Im acting a damn fool half the time 50 just isn’t sexy.’

The tweet can no longer been seen on the Kill Bill’s Twitter account.

According to sources, once Vivica, 49, realised that Kenya had done, she deleted the message, she erupted in fury, with one saying: “It was World War III on that set. Vivica cursed her out so bad that the entire set was speechless, even Kenya.”

And it led to Mr Trump’s tongue-lashing before he uttered his trademark phrase “You’re Fired.”

The source said that Kenya was humiliated by Mr Trump’s humiliating putdown, adding: “If she was hoping to change her image or get the benefit of the doubt before taping this show, she can forget that.”

That damn Kenya just leaves a loooong trail of mess everywhere she goes doesn’t she?

Rob Kardashian: I Know I’m Fat, You Don’t Have to Remind Me!

Ever since Rita Ora broke his heart, Rob Kardashian has been drowning his sorrows in large tubs of Blue Bell ice cream*, which has resulted in him gaining a ton of weight.

Yesterday, TMZ posted photos of the He Kardashian catching a flight out of LAX airport to Paris for his sister and future brother-in-law’s big wedding this weekend, and let’s just say … he’s still apparently eating a ton of ice cream (and everything else too) because the boy is waaay BIGGER than he was back in January!

Following TMZ’s post, Rob and his fatness quickly became a trending topic on Twitter, where people joked relentlessly about his massive weight gain.

Rob responded to the chatter on his own Twitter account this morning, laughing off reports that he had been to rehab or “fat camp” to handle his weight problems, and insisting that he will do something about his weight when he feels like it.

He also said that he’s “aware” that he’s fat and “that def ain’t a surprise to me lol.”

Rob’s big sister Khloe also chimed in on the discussion and defended him against the Twitter haters:

*We don’t know for sure which brand of ice cream is Rob’s favorite; we just assume everyone likes Blue Bell because it’s the best.

Gucci Mane Penning Autobiography (and Planning 50-City Tour) While Behind Bars?

Gucci Mane will be behind bars until at least 2016, which means he will have a lot of time on his hands, which will give him ample time to pen that autobiography of his.

Gucci’s team revealed the news on the rapper’s official Twitter account last Thursday afternoon (May 15), announcing the novel will be called “The Diary of a Trap God,” which will likely tell the story of his humble beginning beginnings to the rise of his trap music in Hip Hop, Vlad TV reported.

Whoever is running Guwop’s Twitter page also announced that the rapper will headline a 50-city tour when he’s released from prison in July 2016.

Gucci Mane was arrested in September 2013 for carrying a loaded handgun and marijuana. He pleaded guilty to the gun charge last week.

Watch: Beyoncé & Jay Z’s Insane, Star-Studded “On The Run” Tour Promo Trailer

Beyoncé and Jay Z have released a trailer for a movie that is “coming never” called “Run,” featuring several A-list celebs, because of course.

The nearly 4-minute video is actually a promotional trailer for their upcoming “On The Run” stadium tour, which kicks off June 25th in Miami and wraps up August 5th in San Francisco.

Directed by Melina Matsoukas, the short film, which debuted Sunday (May 18) includes a star-studded line-up of celebs: Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Blake Lively, Jake Gyllenhaal, Emmy Rossum, Rashida Jones and her sister Kidada, and “Scandal” star Guillermo Diaz.

It’s almost like Drake’s “Hold On We’re Going Home” video, but with waaaaay cooler people.

Jay and Bey, acting as a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, are toting guns, robbing banks and running from the law, all while professing their undying love for each other. At one point, Jay Z gets shot and Beyoncé is later seen sewing up the bullet wound.

“You trust me?” Bey asks before Jay leans in for a kiss.

Ciara Gives Birth to Son Future Zahir Wilburn, Twitter Reacts to the Baby’s Name

Ciara and her fiancée Future officially welcomed their first child together Monday morning (May 19) and the R&B singer confirmed the happy news herself via Twitter/Instagram, announcing the baby’s name (Future Zahir Wilburn) and weight.

Page Six was the first to report that the 28-year-old singer gave birth very early Monday morning in Los Angeles.

When Ciara announced the baby’s name, “Future Zahir Wilburn” became a trending topic on Twitter, with some users expressing confusion and others pointing out the humor in the newborn’s moniker.

Ciara and Future have been engaged since last October, and in January, Ciara announced on an episode of “The View” that they were having a baby.

Ciara posed for W Magazine last month, showing off her baby bump and sharing her thoughts on pregnancy and parenting, including some helpful tips her BFF Kim Kardashian gave her, including “everything from breastfeeding to how a stroller works.”

Despite finding her own fame and success shortly after graduating high school, Ciara said she isn’t sure she wants the same for her children.

“It’s a really hard world,” she said. “If that’s what their heart yearns for, then I’m down. I believe in allowing your child to be who they want to be — as long as they want to be something great.”

She added, “You don’t know your child until they get here. There is a lot of learning to do. I loved that advice.”

SNL Spoofs Jay Z and Solange’s Elevator Fight; Maya Rudolph Returns as Beyoncé

During the season finale of this weekend’s episode of “Saturday Night Live,” hosted by alum Andy Samberg, the show spoofed Jay Z and Solange‘s infamous elevator fight, which, according to the cold open skit, wasn’t a fight at all.

You see … Solange was just being a good sister-in-law by trying to get a huge spider off of Jay Z, but we couldn’t tell because there was no audio.

So to clear up the confusion, Solange and Jay Z (played by Sasheer Zamata and Jay Pharoah) showed the elevator video footage with “real audio” added.

“Oh my god, there’s a spider on you!” Solange screamed. “What?!? Get it! You know I hate spiders,” Jay Z responded. “It keeps moving!” Solange yelled in between swings. “Kick it!” Jay shouted, as Solange tried to kick him.

Maya Rudolph (another SNL alum) makes an appearance near the end of the skit as Beyoncé, appropriately dressed in black shorts and a gold top with a sexy cleavage split right down the middle, with her hand on her hip and a small breeze blowing through her wig.

NeNe Leakes Quitting “Real Housewives of Atlanta?”

At the end of nearly every season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” viewers always want to know who’s staying, who’s leaving and whether or not they should expect a new batch of estrogen to be brought into the mix, and this time is no different.

Now that season 6 has wrapped, following the drama-filled reunion special, rumors are abound that some cast changes are on the horizon, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone given that the show ended on such a crazy note, albeit with the highest ratings in “Housewives” franchise history.

After Porsha Stewart drug Kenya Moore across the stage by her hair during the first of the three-part finale, it was rumored that her violent outburst caused her to be axed from the show, and now there are reports floating around suggesting that NeNe Leakes has also been fired (or quit).

Earlier this month, a source told Life & Style that showrunner Andy Cohen had grown tired of the monster he created and he was ready to just cut his losses and let her go on about her not-so merry way.

“He was pissed about the way that NeNe acted on the reunion this year, so much so that he might not ask her to come back … He thinks she has become a diva and was very irritated with her for not really answering his questions! She also acts like she doesn’t care or want to be on the show anymore.”

Sounds like typical NeNe to us!

Adding fuel to the fire was this tweet NeNe shared last Wednesday (May 14), possibly hinting that she planned on quitting the show:

The next day, Black Media Scoop reported that NeNe has either quit or is threatening to quit, unless Bravo gives in to her demands:

Although the producers really like NeNe, her demands were reportedly too high. “Not only did she want a raise, but she wanted to have say on who she filmed with, and other crazy stuff,” one source claims.

BMS also reports that show insiders say Cynthia and Porsha’s contracts haven’t been renewed for another season either … however, according to Straight From The A’s Atlanta sources (who are pretty reliable and have a great track record, by the way), no one has been fired from “RHOA” and ALL six ladies — NeNe, Cynthia, Porsha, Kenya, Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss — will return, unless someone makes a personal decision not to, of course.

On Porsha:

Rumors of Porsha being fired first started back when it was revealed that she dragged Kenya across the reunion show floor. While it is true that Porsha was sent home, the talk of her termination was premature and just plain ol wrong. My sources all confirm that Porsha’s job is safe and she will be returning next season.

On Kenya:

Unfortunately, Kenya Moore’s spot is safe as well. *sigh* As long as Moore is willing to act a fool for her pay, she’s guaranteed a paycheck. On the other hand, Kenya may opt to leave on her own (fingers crossed), for I’ve heard that she has her own scripted show in the works for TVOne.

On Cynthia:

Former ‘besties’ Nene Leakes and Cynthia Bailey have clearly been at odds, and while Nene admitted that Bailey was the weakest link during her one on one with Bravo Andy on Watch What Happens Live!, Bailey isn’t going anywhere either.

BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!

It’s been a long time rumor that ex-housewife Sheree Whitfield would be returning and being that she had absolutely NOTHING on her plate, that’s not as far fetched as some may think.

My sources confirm that Whitfield has been in negotiations to return to the top rated show and from what I’ve heard, she’ll be added as another ‘wild card’… i.e. willing to do anything for a check.

When Sheree left the show, she was making around $400,000 and my sources say that IF she returns, she won’t be getting anywhere near that dollar figure.

I’ve heard Sheree asked for $200,000 to return for season 7 and executives laughed in her face. Negotiations continue, but while Sheree would probably want fans to believe she’s playing herd ball, it’s a known fact that she’ll return for free, so at a minimum, she’ll have a few ‘Marlo-like’ cameos filming with Kenya Moore.

Sheree Whitfield back for another season? For what? Don’t have you to be a “HOUSE”-wife to actually qualify for this show? And last time we checked, Sheree was essentially homeless.

via: SFTA

Also, Kim Zolciak was reportedly asked to return, but she turned down Bravo’s offer (whatever it was), however, brand a new lady could be added to the mix: Valeisha Butterfield-Jones, a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, the wife of Atlanta Hawks player Dahntay Jones and daughter of North Carolina congressman G.K. Butterfield and State Representative Jean Farmer Butterfield … but SFTA reports “nothing is written in stone” yet.

But anyway … to answer your question, NO, NeNe Leakes is NOT quitting “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

For what it’s worth, NeNe was spotted at the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Upfronts last week, and since the Upfront event is used to introduce the talent of a show’s upcoming season to advertisers (and NeNe was there posing for photos — see above) it looks like she isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Rihanna Dumped Drake Because “He’s Too In Love With Her” (Report)

Drake the type of [dude] to finally get the girl of his dreams then lose her after only a few months because he’s “TOO in love with her.”

That’s exactly what a source told Us Weekly happened between Drake and Rihanna, who are no longer boyfriend and girlfriend (at the moment).

“Rihanna and Drake had another fight,” a source tells Us. “He is too in love with her, which has always been the problem. They have been fighting, but that could all change any day now. It is how it always is with them.”

Rihanna and Drake have been linked for years — even back when RiRi was going back-and-forth with Chris Brown — and the two have been deemed a somewhat official couple since February when they were spotted together in Paris while Drake was on tour.

Photographers also snapped a few photos of the couple hugging and kissing at a Clippers game in Los Angeles in April (despite them not sitting together during the actual game).

But Drake was missing from Rihanna’s Met Gala after-party in New York City earlier this month because the two are “currently on yet another break,” another source revealed.

NYC’s Standard Hotel Fired Employee Who Leaked Solange-Jay Z Fight Video

The person who single-handedly inspired the “#WhatJayZSaidToSolange” trending topic on Twitter and the hilarious memes that followed is now out of a job as of Wednesday (May 14).

According to a spokesperson for the Standard Hotel, officials have identified and subsequently fired the employee who sold the now-famous Solange Jay Z Fight Video to Celebrity Big Brother aka TMZ.

The hotel said the person was terminated for “breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video.”

The shocking 3-minute video, which was obviously supposed to remain “confidential,” was posted by TMZ on Monday — the week after it was recorded inside a Standard Hotel elevator.

The audio-less video shows Solange beating her brother-in-law Jay Z like he stole something as his superstar wife Beyoncé stands by seemingly without any significant involvement.

Hotel officials said after the video first leaked, they were “shocked and disappointed” by the breach of security, and said Wednesday they would turn over “all available information to criminal authorities.”

Reps for Jay Z, Beyoncé and Solange initially refused to comment on the video — which was sold to TMZ after a 5-day bidding war for $250,000, according to the New York Post — but they finally buckled to pressure from the public and released an official statement to the media Thursday night, a move that is out of character for the notoriously private family.

“Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred,” the Carter-Knowles’ statement read. “They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”

“At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different,” the statement continued. “We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

Mariah Carey Debuts New Song With Wale “You Don’t Know What To Do” on the ‘Today’ Show

Mariah Carey took over the Rockefeller Plaza in New York City Friday morning (May 16) to promote her upcoming 14th studio album ‘Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse’ — the title of which she said came from a self-portrait she did when she was 3 years old.

After updating her fans about her life and discussing her new album, Mariah — wearing a sparkly black dress and a long black fingerless glove (she’s still recovering from a shoulder injury from last July) — lit up the plaza with performances of “Touch My Body,” “Always Be My Baby” and her new song “You Don’t Know What To Do” featuring rapper Wale.

Mariah’s first performance with Wale comes shortly after the release of “Thirsty,” featuring up-and-coming Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan.

Mariah also sat down with Matt Lauer for a primetime special called “Me. I Am Mariah,” which will air May 31st on NBC. Her new album drops May 27th.

Justin Bieber Booed During Clippers Playoffs Game 4 at Staples Center

Justin Bieber gets booed in his own home country, so it’s no surprise that he would get booed here in the United States too.

On Mother’s Day last Sunday (May 11), the Biebs was in attendance during Game 4 of the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder 2014 NBA Playoffs series (with his mom, of course), and when that face of his everyone hates was shown on the Staple Center’s jumbotron during the game, the crowd erupted in boos.

“The entire placed booed him when Staples Center cameras put him on the jumbotron,” a source told E! News.

To be fair, the screen DID say to make some “NOISE” though we’re sure that’s not the type of noise they were talking about.

But despite the haters, the 20-year-old Pop star and his mother Patti Mallette seemed to have a good time, especially judging by this photo the Biebs shared on Twitter:

The “Confident” singer also posed for pics with his big homie Floyd Mayweather.

Earlier in the day, JB tweeted his love for his mom:

FYI: For those keeping score … the Clippers beat the Thunder 101-99 that game, however, they lost the series Thursday in Los Angeles in Game 6 with a finale score of 104 to 98. OKC will go on to play the San Antonio Spurs Sunday night in Texas.

Aaron Hernandez Indicted for Two Murders in 2012 Boston Drive-By Shooting

Things have gotten a bit more complicated for accused murder Aaron Hernandez, who is currently sitting behind bars at Massachusetts’s Bristol County Jail for allegedly orchestrating the killing of his friend Odin Lloyd.

Hernandez was indicted by a grand jury Thursday (May 15) on two counts of first-degree murder in connection with a drive-by shooting in Boston that happened in 2012.

According to officials, 28-year-old Daniel Abreu and 29-year-old Safiro Furtado, along with three other friends, had a “chance encounter” with Hernandez in the club.

Abreu, Furtado and their friends left in a BMW, ahen they stopped at a red light around 2 a.m. another car pulled up beside them and fired into the vehicle, killing Abreu and Furtado.

For a while, the deaths went unsolved, but Hernandez came out as a possible suspect last summer after a security guard told police he had overheard the killings were related Odin Lloyd’s 2013 murder.

From the Boston Globe:

Investigators knew that Hernandez, 24, had been at Cure on July 16, 2012, but initially did not pursue him as a suspect because he had left about an hour before the victims.

But when news broke about the Lloyd slaying, Boston detectives took a closer look at Hernandez’s moves that night. They studied earlier surveillance camera footage at the club and on the streets.

According to documents filed in a Connecticut court, video from inside and outside the nightclub shows Hernandez and an acquaintance entering directly behind Abreu and Furtado.

Shortly afterward, Hernandez and the other man, identified in court documents as Alexander Bradley, are seen leaving and getting into a silver sport utility vehicle.

Abreu and Furtado and three of their friends left the club around 2:10 a.m., and video shows Hernandez’s silver SUV circling the block as the victims go to their BMW.

Conley said Hernandez pulled up to the car and began firing a .38-caliber Smith and Wesson at the car, striking Abreu, who was driving, in the chest and hitting Furtado in the head.

A third man, who was in the back seat, was shot in the arm but survived. The other two friends jumped out of the car. Bradley has not faced charges for having a role in the slayings.

For what it’s worth, the man who was in the backseat told police he actually saw Hernandez pull the trigger, so … at this point, it looks like the ex-NFL player will be possibly beating up more inmates and definitely having a few more Thanksgiving meals, courtesy of the Bristol County House Of Correction and Jail’s kitchen.

Hernandez’ lawyers believe prosecutors are trying to nail their client simply because of his celebrity.

“It is one thing to make allegations at a press conference, and another thing to prove them in a courtroom. Unlike the District Attorney, we are not going to try this case in the media. Under our system of justice, Aaron Hernandez is innocent of these charges and he looks forward to his day in court.”

Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said the fact that Hernandez is a celebrity has nothing to do with the charges he’s facing: two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of attempted murder and weapons possession.

“This was about two victims who were stalked, ambushed and senselessly murdered,” Conly said, adding, “Neither of them were involved in gangs, guns or violent crimes at any time.”

OKC’s Serge Ibaka to Miss Remainder of 2014 NBA Playoffs with Calf Injury

Bad news for OKC fans!

Power forward Serge Ibaka, who just so happens to be one of the Oklahoma City Thunder‘s best scorers and the team’s key defensive force, will miss the remainder of the 2014 NBA playoffs due to a serious calf injury.

The team made the announcement Friday night (May 16) after he was hurt in OKC’s Game 6 road win against the L.A. Clippers, which put the team in the Western Conference finals against the San Antonio Spurs. If they beat the Spurs (which they probably won’t…) they’ll go on to play the Miami Heat in the Finals.

But, as USA Today Sports points out, the Thunder “will have to take on the defending West champion Spurs and future Hall of Famer Tim Duncan without their best shot-blocker and rebounder,” which is going to be pret-ty tough.

More via USA Today:

Thunder general manager Sam Presti said in a news conference call that the injury is a Grade 2 strain. He was not sure when Ibaka would be healthy enough to play but said the expectation is that it won’t be in the next month, putting him out for the rest of the playoffs.

“The calf is a really important mechanical function for any athlete, regardless of their style of play,” Presti said. “The recovery is lengthy because re-injury is so likely. … The timing of when it occurred is an unfortunate part to this.”

Veteran power forward Nick Collison and rookie center Steven Adams likely will pick up some of Ibaka’s minutes, but expect the Thunder to often go small with NBA MVP Kevin Durant sliding down to power forward. Durant and Ibaka often each slid down in smaller units, but now Kendrick Perkins or Adams will be counted on to take the center role in those lineups.

“Serge obviously being out of the lineup is going to have an impact on the team,” Presti said. “I don’t think it’s going to impact one person. One of the ways we have to honor the circumstances is being adaptable and growing and coming together as we’ve done in the past.

“We’re going to need everybody.”

Last season, the Thunder’s playoff run was cut short in the second round by the Memphis Grizzlies because of a knee injury to point guard Russell Westbrook.

Ibaka is averaging 12.2 points (on 61.6% shooting from the field), 7.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 13 postseason games. During the 2013-14 regular season, Ibaka notched career-highs with 15.1 points and 8.8 rebounds a game while leading the league in total blocks for the fourth consecutive season with 219.
