Draymond Green’s Nut Shots Get Him Suspended for Crucial Game 5

Golden State Warriors’ do-it-all forward Draymond Green has been suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

The suspension comes after league officials reviewed a scuffle between the Cavs’ LeBron James and Green in which Green apparently took a swipe at James’ goods. After reviewing the play, Green was awarded a flagrant foul 1 which resulted in 4 flagrant foul points and an automatic suspension.

It seems Green is on a mission to keep his opponents from having kids, as this isn’t the first time he’s been called for hitting below the belt.

Back in the Western Conference Finals against the OKC Thunder, Green was awarded a Flagrant Foul 2 after karate kicking Thunder Center Steven Adams in the nuts — the second time he did so in the series.

Then, last Friday, Green was on the attack again. Late in the fourth quarter, Green and LeBron got into it, with James throwing Green to the ground. As he stepped over the downed Warrior, Green threw out his elbow and connected with James’ goods.

And while no flagrants were awarded, James certainly didn’t take too kindly to the swipe. The two went at it after the whistle, and even lovable Steph Curry got into the fray. NBA officials went back and looked at the tape and determined the move was intentional enough to award Green another flagrant 1 foul, forcing him to sit out Monday night’s game 5 matchup in Oakland.

With a 3-1 advantage over the Cavaliers, the Warriors chances of winning it all are high, but a suspension like this could mean bad news for the reigning champs. Green is a matchup nightmare, able to play down low and run the point, he plays lockdown defense on the league’s best, and has just about averaged a double-double in the finals in rebounds and points.

Without him, the Cavs stand a much better chance of stealing one on the road and giving them hopes of tying up the series back in Cleveland. And when it comes down to a game seven, anything can happen. But even if the Warriors pull it out Monday at home and win it all, Draymond Green will have to live with the fact that he had to sit out the final game of the season, and that’s got to hurt – kind of like getting kicked in the nuts.

Orlando Nightclub Shooting: Celebs, Politicians React to Deadliest Mass Shooting in U.S. History

Early Sunday morning (Jun 12), an American-born man who pledged allegiance to ISIS opened fire at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing 50 people and injuring 53.

The shooter, Omar Mateen, was killed when police raided the club, but only after unleashing the largest mass shooting in American history.

Today, as news of the horrendous event poured out, reactions from around the world started rolling in.

President Obama came out condemning the act, which he declared an act of terrorism. He expressed his condolences to the victims, their families, and the city of Orlando as well as the entire LGBQT community who was especially affected by this shooting.

Obama also used this statement, as he has been forced to do so many times before, to express his desire for more substantial gun law reform to avoid further travesties like this in the future.

“We as Americans, we grieve the brutal murder and horrific massacre of dozens of innocent people…Although it’s still early in the investigation, we know enough to say that this was an act of terror and an act of hate…This is an especially heartbreaking day for all of our friends, all of our fellow Americans who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender…we have to decide if that is the kind of country we want to be.”

Other politicians came out on Twitter sending their support to victims of the shooting.

Bernie Sanders took a harder stance when he released his statement, saying,”I’ve got to tell you for 25 years now, I’ve believed that we should not be selling automatic weapons which are designed to kill people, and we’ve got to do everything we can on top of that to make sure that guns do not fall into the hands of people who should not have them.”

But politicians weren’t the only ones coming out with statements after the shooting. A number of celebrities and athletes joined in the conversation as well, sending their support and asking when massacres like this will end.

And while politicians and celebrities mourn the losses of last night and demand answers on the front of gun reform, one particular group has failed to make a statement: The National Rifle Association (NRA).

The road back to relevance, success and redemption has been long and hard for Iggy Azalea and the sad truth is that she’s really not much further along than where she started last year.

While things were hot, briefly, for Iggy Azalea in 2014, 2015 was brutal as she saw her rising star quickly start to dull. There was that limp single with Britney Spears that embarrassingly flopped and also that awkward incident where T.I. basically disowned her in the media.

More recently, she’s been dealing with cringe-inducing gossip about the state of her engagement and battling back rumors of infidelity on the part of her fiance Nick Young.

Oh, and she also put out some crappy ass single, “Team,” earlier this year that literally no one gave a shit about, which has only been fanning the flames of gossip that her career in music is fast becoming a decaying corpse.

So with all of that in mind, I can’t help but feel relieved for Iggy to hear the news that she will be heading back home to Australia to act as a judge for the Australian version of the hit talent show.

In an attempt to diminish the chatter around her unexpected move, Iggy provided more details behind her decision in an interview with the Herald.

“I really didn’t picture myself being a judge on any kind of television show but I think that actually this could be a good fit for me, so I said yes.

“Initially I didn’t know but then I thought it would be good to come back to Australia and have an opportunity to spend some time there and obviously to see my family, who live in Sydney.

“So I think it will be a good situation for multiple reasons. I’m really excited and I don’t really know what to expect. I really want to be able to pick unique people and hopefully have them connect with everybody watching.”

Girl, why don’t you just say that America has been kicking your ass lately and you’re sick and tired of being treated like a doormat and decided it’d be best to hide out in the Great Outback for lil’ bit and chill with them kangaroos so these mean-ass black folks in hip-hop can stop shitting on you daily, pointing out your wackness and highlighting your every misstep?

I mean, let’s just keep it really, real. Cause you’re supposed to be in the middle of promoting your so-called album, but you know as well as we all do that that endeavor is a fool’s errand so why not sit your happy ass down somewhere and collect a paycheck.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been on for an impressive 8 seasons and in that time, we’ve seen castmates come, go and in Sheree Whitfield’s case, come back!

In that time, the children of RHOA have seriously grown up. As one of the original RHOA housewives, Sheree’s babies have grown the most, and notably, her son Kairo Whitfield has become a full-fledged grown ass man and he has graduated from sleeping on that air mattress that y’all used to make fun of him for, to making big moves in the modeling world.

Joseline Hernandez and Premadonna Fire Shots at Each Other on Instagram

The only thing Joseline Hernandez seems to do better than twerk and host club gigs is get into nasty, ugly, petty fights with other people on social media.

After slaying her husband (at least that’s the title she’s claiming for him) Stevie J on social media, Joseline Hernandez set her sights on Premadonna, her one-time co-star on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, after Premadonna took offense to some Instagram posts Joseline made saying that women needed to ditch the waist trainers and get out and do real exercise to get the body they desired.

Cavaliers Fan Fired Over Disrespectful Riley Curry Tweet Says He’d Do It Again

By now, people should realize that the things you say on social media can have adverse effects on your personal life.

One Twitter user who disrespected Steph Curry’s family and called his 3-year-old daughter an anti-gay slur, found that out the hard way after he got fired from his job. But based on his last tweet about the incident, despite losing his job, the guy apparently feels no remorse, and he says he’d do it all over again.

It all started when a Cavaliers Fan named Moe Wahdan, using the Twitter handle @SoftCaramelKiss, sent an offensive tweet to Steph Churry’s sister Sydel on Wednesday (Jun 8) about 12 hours before the start of Game 3 of the 2016 NBA Finals.

Sydel, who plays volleyball for Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, got her day started by tweeting to her more than 30K followers that she was on a flight headed to Cleveland

Wahdan (@SoftCaramelKiss) responded to Sydel’s tweet, telling her that she and the rest of the Curry family should “get the f**k out of Cleveland,” and he also made a very obscene remark about Steph Curry’s daughter (Sydel’s niece) Riley.

“You and your whole family get the f**k out of Cleveland and take Riley’s f**got ass with you.”

The tweet has since been deleted, but the screenshot below (via Total Pro Sports) lives on.

Despite Wahden’s disrespectful tweet towards her family, Sydel responded in a very mature manner:

While Sydel was on her way to Cleveland with her family, a Twitter fanpage for the Warriors (@warriorsworld) took notice of Sydel’s interaction with Wahden and tweeted this:

From there, Wahden and Sydel’s Twitter interaction eventually made its way to Wahden’s employer, The Holton-Wise Property Group (a real estate company), which responded by immediately firing him. The company said in a later tweet that it “does not condone” the language used by Wahdan in his Tweet and that he had been “terminated” because of it.

When Sydel finally touched down in Cleveland and checked her Twitter, she was shocked to learn that the guy who was disrespectful to her family was now without a job.

Moe Wahden’s former employee sent the following statement to Complex:

Shortly after Moe made his inappropriate comments Twitter members started tagging The Holton-Wise Property Group twitter account (@HoltonWise). At about the same time this was happening, I was notified via email from multiple people who were offended by his actions.

I immediately investigated what was going on. I also stumbled upon his twitter account that had many tweets and posts that where wildly inappropriate. At Holton-Wise, we expect our employees to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. The behavior demonstrated by Moe towards the Curry family, as well as the inappropriate content I discovered while investigating what was happening with the Curry family tweets led me to terminate him immediately. We do not condone harassment or hate speech of any kind.

Holton-Wise Property Group also released a public apology to Steph Curry and his family:

The story doesn’t end here though.

Sydel had moved on with her life and was talking about other things on Twitter when Wahdan continued to tweet about the incident. He even gave himself credit for Curry’s poor performance in Game 3 that night.

After the game ended, Sydel engaged with @SoftCaramelKiss once again, this time asking for a one-on-one conversation, which eventually resulted in Sydel blocking him because he continued to lack chill and never acquired any.

@SoftCaramelKiss continued to tweet about the incident throughout the next day and retweeted dozens of messages from supporters. He even tweeted to his “boss” at his “full time job,” letting people know where they can “snitch” and his boss tweeted back.

He even said in a (now deleted) tweet that, despite losing his other job (he said in an earlier tweet that he would be “in another real estate office by tomorrow”), he would “do it again all over again.”

LeBron James and Steph Curry Get Into Heated Argument in Game 4 of NBA Finals

Draymond Green wasn’t the Golden State Warriors player LeBron James had an issue with Friday night (Jun 10) in Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Finals.

Near the end of the game’s fourth quarter, not too long after Bron-Bron’s little altercation with Draymond Green, the Cleveland Cavaliers star got into a heated exchange of words with the Warriors’ star player Steph Curry.

LeBron was physical with Curry as he tried to deny him the ball, which led to Curry talking to the officials about the contact. LeBron and Steph then stood face-to-face and exchanged some words and some perturbed facial expressions.

The best part of this entire video is official Mike Callahan going back and forth as he looked at both players during the exchange.

Game 5 goes down Monday night (Jun 13) in Oakland. Golden State is up 3-1. One more win and the Warriors will have their second championship in a row. The Cavs will have to win the next three games in row to pull off a championship, which is possible … but highly unlikely.

“The Voice” Singer Christina Grimmie Shot and Killed at Orlando Concert

Singer Christina Grimmie, an Internet sensation who starred in NBC’s The Voice, died early Saturday (Jun 11) after being shot at a concert in Orlando, Florida. She was 22 years old.

Her publicist has confirmed the sad news with multiple media outlets with the following statement:

“It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn’t survive the gun shot wounds. We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning. If you’d like to give back to Christina’s family in her memory, please consider donating to the families GoFundMe page in their time of need.”

According to reports, an unknown male assailant walked up to Christina Friday night (Jun 10) during an autograph signing after her show with the band Before You Exit, and shot her before turning the gun on himself and committing suicide.

Grimmie was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries and was pronounced dead a few hours later.

“Upon arrival officers found the male suspect, who was deceased and one victim who was gravely injured. That victim, singer Christina Grimmie, was transported to the hospital with critical injuries,” the Orlando Police tells E! News.

“Detectives were told the suspect, who is not being identified at this time, walked toward Christina and shot her. Christina’s brother immediately tackled the suspect stopping him from causing any more harm to Christina and her fans. During the struggle, the suspect shot himself. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Police tell us the investigation is in its preliminary stages.

Christina Grimmie was a Top 10 finalist in the sixth season of NBC’s “The Voice” in 2014. Her audition performance, Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” resulted in all four judges turning their chairs for her, but she ultimately picked Adam Levine as her coach. She finished the show in third place.

Following the news of Grimmie’s hospitalization, The Voice tweeted: We are heartbroken. @TheRealGrimmie is a loved member of our family. Our thoughts are with her and her family. #PrayForChristina.”

After the news of her death, the show wrote: “There are no words. We lost a beautiful soul with an amazing voice. Our hearts go out to the friends, fans and family of @TheRealGrimmie.”

On Instagram, Grimmie’s former coach and mentor Adam Levine posted a throwback photo of him and Christina. “I’m sad, shocked and confused. We love you so much Grimmie. We are all praying hard that you can pull through this…this just isn’t fair,” he wrote in the caption.

Before Grimmie was exposed to a national audience by mean of The Voice, she had already developed a loyal following on the Internet via YouTube, where she had over 3 million subscribers.

In 2011, three years before her stint on the voice, Christina Grimmie independently released her debut EP Find Me, which peaked at 35 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album also debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard Digital Albums chart.

Grimmie’s debut studio album, which would unfortunately end up being her only album, was released in 2013, and earlier this year she released her second EP, Side A, which consisted of four songs, and was supposed to be a followed up by Side B.

Sore Loser LeBron James Brushes Off Usher After Game 4 Loss: No Dap For You!

Following the Cleveland Cavaliers’ devastating 97 to 108 loss against the Golden State Warriors Friday night (Jun 10) in Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Finals, the team’s star player LeBron James was not in a good mood.

When the Cavaliers beat Golden State by 30 points Wednesday night (Jun 8) in Game 3, LBJ was sure he would win Game 4, tying up the series 2-2. But … that didn’t happen. And homeboy was mad, real mad, Joe Jackson.

LeBron was so mad that he totally blew off R&B superstar Usher (who just so happens to be a minority owner of the team) when he tried to dap him up after what could possibly be the last home game.

Talk about a sore loser!

You won’t win a ring with that type of attitude, Bron-Bron. Hell, you’re not gonna win a ring this year anyway, but you can at least be a good sport about it.

LeBron James and Draymond Green Almost Got Into a Fight in Game 4 of the Finals

LeBron James completely lost his cool Friday night (Jun 10) as the Cleveland Cavaliers were being defeated by the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Finals on their own home court, of all places.

With just three minutes left in the final quarter of the game, which resulted in a 108-97 win for the Warriors, James and Draymond Green from Golden State got into two back-to-back altercations that could have easily turned into fights.

Green had fallen on the ground, and when James disrespectfully stepped over him (he basically tea-bagged the guy, smh), Green swung his arm, hitting James in the gonads. As Draymond got back up, LeBron quickly turned around and got all up in his face as play continued.

Not too long after that, the two players got into another physical altercation (in which LeBron grabbed Draymond on the back of the neck) while they both were attempting a rebound.

Players from both teams rushed in to separate James and Green, and each of them received personal fouls.

Draymond then taunted LeBron by blowing into his fist like how LeBron does during games:

“I felt him step over me, and you’re not just going to step over me like that,” Green told CBS Sports after the game. “There’s many routes you could take. Don’t just step over me like that. So we had our words, and it is what it is. I don’t care who you are, I’m not going to back down from you.”

“We got tangled up; it is what it is,” Green said in a separate post-game interview with ESPN Radio. “I’ve got mad respect for LeBron and what he’s done. He’s a competitor; I’m a competitor. It’s Game 4 of the Finals. I don’t think anyone expects anything less. And if they do, they’re expecting the wrong thing.”

LeBron reportedly got pissed off by what Draymond said to him right after the incident. Green declined to comment on what he said, saying that he wouldn’t repeat what was said on the floor, but a source told ESPN that James was upset by Green calling him a “bitch.”

“Draymond just said something that I don’t agree with. I’m all cool with the competition. Amid the many major news developments this week — Hillary Clinton clinching the Democratic nomination for presidency, the tragic death of MMA fighter Kimbo Slice, the Cavaliers overcoming a 2-0 deficit in the NBA Finals — Beyoncé sneezed.

The sneeze happened while Beyoncé was performing for her “Formation” Tour in New York City Tuesday night (Jun 7) in front of a sold out crowd of about 45,000 fans, and everyone completely lost it.

In videos posted to social media, fans could be heard, in between screams and cheers, yelling “Bless you!”

Gawker Media was forced to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Friday (Jun 10) as a result of Hulk Hogan’s lawsuit against them, CNN Money reports.

According to Recode, the media company, famous for popular websites such as Gawker.com, Gizmodo.com, Jezebel.com, Deadspin.com, Lifehacker.com and others, has agreed to sell all seven of its properties to the highest bidder, which, so far, is publisher Ziff Davis, who wants to purchase the business for around $90 – $100 million.

In 2012, Gawker Media’s flagship website Gawker.com published an article that included a sextape featuring Hulk Hogan and the wife of his best friend. Hogan asked them to take down the video and its accompanying article, but Gawker refused and were eventually sued for $100 million by Hogan for allegedly violating his privacy.

Gawker lost the lawsuit and was ordered by a judge to pay Hogan much more than $100 million he requested. Today, Gawker filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in an effort to avoid paying Hogan his multi-million dollar judgement.

Here are 7 things you need to know about Gawker Media and the Hulk Hogan lawsuit.

1Gawker Media owns 7 properties

According to Wikipedia, Gawker is “an American blog founded by Nick Denton and Elizabeth Spiers and based in New York City, focusing on celebrities and the media industry” and should not be confused with its parent company Gawker Media.

Gawker Media, on the other hand, is the online media company that owns and operates 7 websites/blogs, including its flagship website Gawker.com, the sports website Deadspin, the design and technology blog Gizmodo, the women’s interest site Jezebel, the lifehack blog Lifehacker, the video-game focused blog Kotaku, and Jalopnik, a site for car enthusiasts.

The company is owned by Nick Denton.

2Gawker.com posted a sextape featuring Hulk Hogan

In March 2012, TMZ reported that someone was shopping around a sextape featuring Hulk Hogan and a woman named Heather Clem (the estranged wife of Hogan’s friend and radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge) that was filmed in 2006.

Gawker Media’s most famous website, Gawker.com, purchased the tape, and on October 4th 2012, Gawker’s editor A.J. Daulerio posted a short video clip showing highlights of a much longer version of the film, as well a 1,400-word essay describing what was going on.

3Hulk Hogan sued them because they refused to take the video and the article down

Not too long after the clip was published, Hogan, through his lawyers, issued a cease-and-desist order to take the post down (the video and its accompanying text), but Gawker refused, citing the First Amendment and arguing that the commentary had news value and the video was a matter of public interest.

After Gawker refused to down the post, which had racked up millions of views, a judge issued an injunction ordering them to delete it. They didn’t take the post down, but they did remove the video, because, as the editor at the time, John Cook, put it, “A lawful order from a circuit court judge is a serious thing.”

Cook added, “While we vehemently disagree with Campbell’s order with respect to the video itself, we have chosen to take it down pending our appeal” and he went on to explain why they were not, under any circumstance, going to remove the article’s text.

“But the portion of the order compelling us to remove the entirety of Daulerio’s post—his words, his speech—is grossly unconstitutional. We won’t take it down,” Cook said.

Because of Gawker’s refusal to take down the ENTIRE post (including the text), Hulk Hogan filed a lawsuit against Gawker Media and its founder and CEO Nick Denton in 2015 for violating his privacy asking for $100 million damages.

4Gawker Media lost the lawsuit and the judge ordered them to pay Hulk Hogan $140 million + $25 million in damages

The first court hearing for the lawsuit was in July 2015 and the trial officially began in March 2016, and it didn’t take long for the six-person jury to rule that Hogan’s privacy was indeed violated, and not only that, but they awarded him $40 million more than what he asked for.

The jurors who awarded Hogan the $140 million judgement ($55 million for economic damages, $60 million for emotional distress, and $25.1 million in punitive damages) later said in an interview with ABC News that they stood by their decision. “There’s absolutely no doubt that the decision we made was absolutely correct,” juror O’Neil said.

On March 21st, Hogan was awarded an additional $25 million in punitive damages, making his total judgement $165 million.

5PayPal’s billionaire founder Peter Thiel funded Hulk Hogan’s lawsuit because he has a personal vendetta against Gawker for outing him as gay

In May 2016, it was revealed that Peter Thiel, the co-founder and CEO of PayPal who is worth an estimated $2.7 billion, had previously made the destruction of Gawker his personal mission.

And why would someone be so hell-bent on destroying an online media property, you ask? Well, it all started when Gawker.com published a story in 2007 that outed Thiel as gay, years before he was open about his sexuality.

Ever since then, Thiel has had it out for Gawker, and he used the Hulk Hogan lawsuit as his weapon of mass destruction against the company.

6Gawker filed for bankruptcy so they wouldn’t have to pay Hogan and Thiel

On June 10th 2016, Gawker Media filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to avoid paying Hulk Hogan (and, apparently, Peter Thiel) the $140 million judgement, as well as the additional $25 million in damages.

According to Recode, the company has told its employees that they they still plan to fight the case and will continue to run the business while doing so, however, in order to continue operating as they have, they will need to seek outside funding.

7Publisher Ziff Davis, Owner of PC Magazine, wants to buy Gawker for less than $100 million

Even though Gawker Media at one point had been valued at over $200 million, because of the drama surrounding the company at this very moment, their value has plummeted, and following their bankruptcy filing, they are now selling to the highest bidder.

Right now, the highest bidder is Ziff Davis LLC, a publisher and Internet company based in the United States, who is looking to purchase the business for around $90 – $100 million, Recode reports. Ziff Davis’ portfolio of properties includes PC Magazine, Askmen.com and IGN.

Usher Releases New Singles “No Limit” (ft. Young Thug) and “Crash”

After taking a short hiatus from the music scene, Usher is back and ready to take over the summer. The R&B crooner has released two new singles from his upcoming eighth studio album Flawed exclusively on Tidal.

On the first track, “No Limit,” featuring Young Thug, Usher pays homage to Hip Hop legend Master P and his popular record label during the 90’s and early 2000’s. The second track, titled “Crash,” is a catchy R&B ballad, in which Usher sings about a lover he’s having trouble letting go.

“Up all night, can’t let go / Won’t stop trying, need you to know / It’s worth the fight, if I get back come / Hope you don’t mind I waited/ Would you mind if I wait right here?,” he sings on the track.

It’s been almost 4 years since Usher released his last album Looking 4 Myself.

Flawed is rumored to be released in July.

Mugshot Madness: Texas Man Says Deputies Choked Him for Smiling

A man from Texas is suing the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for choking him out last year all because he wouldn’t stop smiling while taking his mugshot.

According to court docs, 38-year-old Christopher Johnson was riding his motorcycle home on July 25th 2015 when he was pulled over by Deputy G. Quellhorst and arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Johnson was taken to the Harris County Jail, where he posed for at least 10 mug shots while he was being booked. The reason why he had to take so many booking photos is because police were not happy with Johnson’s face. Particularly, his smile.

Apparently, Johnson’s smile and the fact that he wouldn’t wipe it off his face when told to was enough for deputies to grab Johnson around the neck and choke him the hell out.

KPRC reports:

Court documents said a deputy demanded Johnson stop smiling while taking the pictures. “Man, take the picture right,” the deputy said, according to court documents. Johnson responded, “What are you talking about? This is how I always take pictures.”

Investigators said the deputy continued to tell Johnson to stop smiling. “Well, I’ll tell you what! If you don’t stop smiling, we gon’ make you stop smiling,” one deputy was quoted as saying.

According to court records, three officers held Johnson by the neck for about 30 seconds — making it difficult for him to breathe or smile — as a fourth jail employee snapped the picture.

After the final picture was taken, investigators said Johnson asked to be treated for pain in his neck and was told to sit down and be quiet.

As you can CLEARLY see in his mugshot, Christopher Johnson’s story apparently pans out.

I mean, unless they were “holding his head up because he was drunk” (insert eye-roll here, because that’s literally an excuse they would and could use) it sure does look like he’s being choked and roughed up to me.

And, guess what the fuck the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said in their statement?

“It is not uncommon for detention personnel to assist impaired or uncooperative detainees during the booking photo process. There is no policy or procedure that prohibits smiling during the booking photo process.”

Yo. I’M DONE.

The Sheriff’s Office was reportedly notified about the lawsuit Thursday (Jun 9). With the exception of Johnson’s arresting officer, Quellhorst, the department did not release the names of the deputies accused of being involved in the incident.

Google Accused of Rigging Search Results to Favor Hillary Clinton

The internet is supposed to be a bastion of hope for the free exchange of information and ideas. People flock to it in the hopes that they will find the latest news without a biased slant or share their beliefs without censorship.

Oh, and to watch funny animal videos too (actually, mainly to watch funny animal videos, and there’s no shame in that). But is the Internet really the pure, unadulterated, bias-free, uncensored place that it should be?

On Thursday (Jun 9), SourceFed broke the story that Google searches have been manipulated to favor Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Google searches are controlled by an algorithm that, in theory, links your search to the most relevant information, largely based off how often other people are searching the same thing. That’s why when you type in “what is the capital of Zimbabwe” you immediately get the answer: Harare (there’s your fun fact for the day).

This system is largely why we trust Google so much. When we ask it a question, we are confident that will be directed to an accurate, unbiased answer. But it turns out, this may not always be the case.

By comparing the autocomplete feature on the Google search bar to their trending searches charts, SourceFed discovered that certain key words and stories that painted the political elite in a negative light were replaced with more flattering searches.

If you type in “Hillary Clinton Cri” into Google right now, you will see suggestions for “Hillary Clinton crime reform” as the top suggestion. Try it on Bing or Yahoo, however, and you are bombarded with results linking the presidential nominee to her criminal investigation, crimes, and her criminal record.

SourceFed dug deeper, ensuring that this wasn’t simply the result of different search preferences amongst different engines. They went to the Google Trends Graphs and found that the autocomplete suggestions were largely skewed away from actual searches.

While “Hillary Clinton crimes” had been searched widely and often, Google’s number one suggestion “Hillary Clinton crime reform” didn’t have enough searches to even register on the graph.

And this isn’t the only example. Try searching for the widely popular “Hillary Clinton Indictment” and you are instead suggested to search for “Hillary Clinton India.”

What does this mean? Google has been manipulating its searches to help paint Clinton in a good light. The other candidates? Not so much. Ted Cruz is quickly suggested to be called “Lyin’ Ted,” there’s no hiding the fact that Trump is labeled a racist, and a quick search of Bernie Sanders immediately takes you to his socialist label.

Surprisingly (or, sadly, maybe not at all) this isn’t the only instance of this happening. Google has recently had to defend itself from allegations that they purposely failed to autocomplete the term “Crooked Hillary” on their search engine. It’s not until you completely type out “Crooked Hillary” that a suggestion pops up, and even then, it pulls in Hillary’s rival, Bernie Sanders.

It’s clear that something is not right here. And while SourceFed was quick to point out that they are not saying Hillary or her campaign had anything to do with this, the facts are right there in front of us.

Google, the world’s most widely used search engine, has altered its transmission of information to its users. And their defense that the algorithm for autocomplete is linked to a number of searches simply does not hold any water.

For me, it marks the end of the wild west of the internet. For those of us who remember a time before the social media craze, or maybe even having to use dial-up to connect, we were lucky enough to live in an unregulated, unbiased time. There were no rules. There was just people and information. It seems now, though, the internet has caught up to modern times.

There are now numerous regulations, a biased delivery of information, and now, clear cut censorship. I guess it was fun while it lasted.

Charles Pickett Jr: 5 Murder Charges for Man Who Ran Over Kalamazoo Cyclists

A Detroit pickup truck driver is facing multiple charges for his involvement in a fatal crash that killed five bicyclists and seriously injured four.

50-year-old Charles Pickett Jr. was charged Thursday (Jun 9) with five counts of second-degree murder and four counts of reckless driving in the accident that took place on Tuesday (Jun 7) at the 5500 block of North Westnedge Avenue in Cooper Township.

The bicyclists were part of a group called “The Chain Gang” and their ages ranged from 40 to 74. The group was five miles into a weekly 30-mile ride when Pickett struck them from behind on a road in the western Michigan countryside.

The five bicyclists who died in the crash were Debra Bradley, 53, Melissa Fevig-Hughes, 42, Fred Nelson, 73, Lorenz Paulik, 74, and Suzanne Sippel, 56. The four injured bicyclists were Paul Gobble, 47, Sheila Jeske, 53, Jennifer Johnson, 40, and Paul Runnels, 65.

Two of the surviving bicyclists are said to be in serious condition, a third in critical condition, and the fourth in fair condition.

According to reports, Pickett allegedly did not stop his truck after hitting the cyclists, and fled on foot after the wreck took place.

Police were already looking for him after hearing reports of an erratic driver prior to the crash, and they found him attempting to flee on foot a short distance away.

The Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center at the University of North Carolina said that this particular crash is the deadliest to involve cyclists in recent memory.

In 2011, Pickett was arrested for DUI in Rhea County, Tennessee, but the charge was later dropped. If convicted of murder, Pickett faces up to life in prison.

Lamont Richmond, Cleveland Man Who Fought Justin Bieber, Says the Biebs Started It

The guy who got into a street brawl with Justin Bieber last night is reportedly a 6’5″ Cleveland man named Lamont Richmond.

After footage of the brawl exploded on the web, Lamont took to social media to give his side of the story. According to Lamont, JB was the aggressor in the fight and ran up on him after he asked for an autograph.

Lamont says that he was “with the girls” when the incident took place.

“The fool ran up on me. I was with the girls, we just asked the ni**a for an autograph. I don’t know about all this other stuff y’all talking about. I ain’t got nothing else to say,” he says in a 13-second (now deleted) video from his Facebook obtained by TMZ.

Lamont also wrote about the incident in a post on Facebook (that he also later deleted), and went into further detail about who “the girls” are. Turns out, he is a ladies man (or so he says…) and has two girlfriends who wanted Justin Bieber to take a pic with them, but he allegedly said “hell no.”

“For all you people talking crap he started with me I was just walking with my girlfriend both of them. They asked the little guy can they take a picture with him he said hell no get out his face so I said what the hell wrong with you. Then he threw a punch and you see from the video what I had to do.”

As we previously reported, JB and Lamont got into an all-out brawl after the Cavaliers and Warriors Finals game in Cleveland Wednesday evening.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that the fight had occurred over JB talking to the guy’s chick, but now that seems like that’s not the matter.

“[Bieber] was apparently talking to the girl this guy was with, and when the guy stepped in, Biebs told him he would f**k him up. That’s when fists started flying,” the insider revealed.

“Biebs was hanging out outside the hotel, and had been getting harassed by people walking by (mostly guys making fun of him) and hounded for pictures, so he was a bit on edge,” the insider added.

“He had a friend about his size with him, and there was a bodyguard or two but he was kind of on his own, wandering around. Bodyguards only stepped in after Bieber hit the deck. The bodyguards broke it up and security cleared everyone out pretty quickly.”

We give JB props for holding his own against a guy that big, but we also question his sanity, because who in the hell fights a guy that big?!

Kimbo Slice Found Out He Needed a Heart Transplant Right Before He Died

Earlier this week, following the death of Kimbo Slice, it was revealed by the mixed martial arts fighter’s trainer that he passed away from a heart attack. Though Slice’s official cause of death has yet to be announced, it is being generally understood that he died as the result of heart failure.

Now we have more details about Kimbo’s last days and how he found out he needed a brand new heart not too long before he died.

Citing a medical report from the Northwest Medical Center in Margate, FL, the South Florida Sun Sentinel revealed that Slice (real name: Kevin Ferguson) was in the process of being added to an organ donor list at the time of his death.

According to the Sun Sentinel, Ferguson was admitted to the Northwest Medical Center in Margate, FL on Friday (Jun 3). He complained of “severe abdominal pain, shortness of breath and nausea.” Doctors discovered a liver mass and congestive heart failure before placing him on a ventilator in intensive care.

As Ferguson’s condition declined, doctors informed his family that he would need a heart transplant, and while doctors were getting ready to transfer him to a new hospital in Cleveland, where he would be placed on an organ donor list, the fighter died Monday (Jun 6) around 7:30 p.m.

The medical report stated that Kimbo had no history of illicit drug use, and trauma and foul play were not suspected in his death.

Slice’s longtime manager and friend Mike Imber confirmed the Sun Sentinel’s account of events to ESPN:

“He went to Germany around March and got really sick while he was there. I don’t know what he thought it was, but he just felt sick. On Friday (June 3), he had bad chest pains and went to the hospital.

I went and visited him on Friday and he seemed OK. I didn’t feel like I was going to lose my friend in two days, by any means. He seemed concerned, but he seemed all right.

I talked to him that Saturday and Sunday, and he was still in the hospital. I said, ‘something’s not right.’ On Monday, his wife called and told me he had stopped breathing.”

Slice, who became a viral Internet sensation in the early 2000’s for his popular street fighting videos, was scheduled to fight against James Thompson in London for the Bellator 158.

His last fight was the Bellator 149 in February when he defeated Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris in a third-round victory that was later overturned after it was discovered by officials that Slice had elevated testosterone levels and tested positive for the steroid nandrolone.
