The Epic Gabby Douglas Moments We All Missed Out on at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards

The “Final Five” continued their media blitz at the MTV VMA Awards. The Olympic gold medal gymnasts walked the event’s “white carpet” and presented an award. However, the “Final Five” was actually a “Final Four” as the Gabby Douglas was unable to attend and I am upset about it.

Douglas revealed on Twitter that she was resting after a recent trip to the hospital. MTV also gave her shout out.

She did not give many details, but Douglas’ rep states the 3x Olympic gold medalists is recovering from a “seriously infected past mouth injury” and “continues to have deep swelling and adverse reactions to medications.”

Douglas’ health obviously takes precedence, but ohhh, what a missed moment for her and for us! From media scrutiny to cyber bullying, Douglas did not have the greatest experience in Rio. However, she eventually received much support from A-list celebrities and even social media.

The VMA audience proudly chanted “USA! USA!” as the “Final Five” presented Best Female Video. (They did the same for Michael Phelps as he introduced Future)

However, had Douglas been present, I’m almost certain somebody in the audience would have chanted “Gabby! Gabby!” and others would have followed to show her some love, support, and most importantly, respect. I would have LIVED for this moment.

Beyonc´ also happened to win the Best Female Video award. She graciously hugged each “Final Five” member and briefly chatted with Simone Biles. As someone who never fails to champion black women, I would have loved to see Queen Bey give Douglas an extra special word.

Celebrities and admiration from large crowds is probably not necessary to boost Douglas’ self-esteem, but the moments I imagine “could have been” would have been some of the most memorable of the night.

I’m sure there will plenty more opportunities for Douglas to get her shine. And despite her Rio troubles, girl is still winning. She recently teamed up with NIKE for major athleisure line.

Ezekiel Elliott Speaks Out On His Seattle Marijuana Dispensary Visit: “It Was a Bad Decision”

Dallas Cowboy’s rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott is speaking out about his trip to a Seattle marijuana dispensary before his preseason game last Thursday (Aug. 25). The ‘boys were in Seattle to play the Seahawks last week, and prior to the matchup, Elliott was photographed at Herban Legends, one of the legal dispensaries in the city.

The move earned condemnation from many in the sports world. His own head coach, Jason Garrett, came out saying, “I don’t think it was a good decision. He and I talked about that. It was just a poor decision on his part and young players sometimes have to understand that perception can be reality.”

The fourth pick in the NFL draft, Elliott, who infamously rocked a “sassy” crop top earlier this year at the NFL draft, said that he wasn’t looking to purchase anything. Just like one might visit the space needle or Pike Place, the young’n was just doing some sightseeing and wanted to check it out.

“It was a bad decision,” Elliott said to the Dallas Morning News. “Just seen it walking around. Was curious. I didn’t really think about it before I went in, what the repercussions could have been. It wasn’t like I was trying to hide it or anything. I took pictures with people. It wasn’t like I was up to no good.”

Garrett mirrored Elliott’s stance, saying that it’s not that he was really doing anything wrong, but like most young players who enter the league, he must realize that he is under a lot more scrutiny now than ever before.

“You have to understand you’re under a microscope 24 hours a day,” he said. This is particularly true for Elliott who is positioned to be a breakout star this year as the starting running back for the Cowboys.

The Internet Roasted Tony Romo With Hilarious Memes After He Broke His Back

Alright, I’ll be the first to say you shouldn’t take pleasure in another man’s pain. And for a professional athlete like Tony Romo, getting injured is a career altering issue that means money out of you and your family’s pocket.

OK, now that I got that out of the way, Tony Romo broke his back in last week’s preseason game, and the internet is loving it. Hilarious memes have been popping up all over the web mocking America’s Team’s injury prone quarterback.

And again, it’s awful what happened to him and I hope he comes back and is able to get his career back on track. He’s currently slated to be out 6-10 weeks, but with promising rookie Dak Prescott taking over, many are wondering if he’ll still have a job when he comes back.

Whatever happens, for my own pleasure, I hope the memes keep on coming.

Colin Kaepernick Gives No F*cks, Says He’ll “Continue to Sit” for National Anthem

With football season right around the corner, it’s no surprise that stories about the sport are everywhere. Whether it’s Tony Romo breaking his back (again) or the defending champs deciding to start a player who’s never thrown an NFL pass, there’s plenty to talk about for sports fans. But one storyline in particular has dominated the headlines in recent days.

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is dividing the sports community with his decision to not stand during the playing of the national anthem. In a preseason matchup against Green Bay last Friday, Kaepernick made a conscious decision to remain seated during the playing of the national anthem in a showing of protest.

When news broke and everyone started talking about his unpatriotic act, Kaepernick explained his reasoning, saying that he is protesting on behalf of people oppressed because of their race.

“This country stands for freedom, liberty, justice for all – and it’s not happening for all right now,” he said. “This is because I’m seeing things happen to people that don’t have a voice, people that don’t have a platform to talk and have their voices heard and effect change. So I’m in a position where I can do that, and I’m going to do that for people that can’t.”

He added:

“I’ll continue to sit. … I’m going to continue to stand with the people that are being oppressed. To me, this is something that has to change, and when there’s significant change — and I feel like that flag represents what it’s supposed to represent, and this country is representing people the way it’s supposed to — I’ll stand.

“There are a lot things that are going on that are unjust. People aren’t being held accountable for. And that’s something that needs to change. That’s something that this country stands for freedom, liberty and justice for all. And it’s not happening for all right now.”

Apparently he did not expect his protest to get nearly this much attention, but he’s happy he did as it has sparked a conversation. But other people’s opinions on his act are split.

Some are coming out in support of the QB’s decision to use this stage to protest the injustices he sees happening across the country.

Others, however, think he is dishonoring all of the soldiers who have sacrificed to have the right to protest like this, saying he should find a different way to fight the good fight.

https://twitter.com/Hasselbeck/status/769519704008429568?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

As Colin said, though, he did this to get people talking about the issues, and even though most of the discussion is focused on him right now, he’s been somewhat successful in that venture. And he’s said that he plans to continue to sit until he sees some change.

But what about you? Do you think what Kaepernick is doing is right and that he should be lauded for his efforts, or is it simply disrespectful and that he should be find another way to make his point known?

Ariana Grande and Mac Miller Made Their Romance Official at the VMAs

Based on these photos of Mac Miller and Ariana Grande all boo’d up at the VMAs, it looks like we can officially call this pair of wild and crazy kids a real life celebrity couple.

Not too long after being spotted “sucking down sushi and each other’s faces” (according to TMZ), Ariana Grande and Mac Miller apparently went public with their romance Sunday night (Aug. 28) at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City.

Though they didn’t walk the white carpet together, they were pretty inseparable during the show. After Grande’s “Side to Side” performance with Nicki Minaj, cameras caught her and her new boo getting cozy in the audience. The pair even made some “silly” faces for the cameras.

According to Page Six:

They also held hands on their way to the Republic Records VMAs afterparty, where Grande was photographed sitting in the rapper’s lap and kissing him on the cheek.

Before the show, when Charlamagne asked Grande where her “boo” was, she told him he was “being supportive.” She added, “It’s OK to be alone even when you have a boo. You can do both.”

Dear White Media, Please Stop Trying to “Introduce” Us to Teyana Taylor

No one knew exactly what Kanye West was going to do when MTV granted him “free reign” for his Video Music Awards performance. Though he did give another one of his off-the-wall Kanye speeches, he actually let his art speak for itself.

Instead of giving a performance, the rapper decided to premiere the music video for his single, “Fade.” The artsy video, which is bound to be a classic, primarily features singer Teyana Taylor dancing in a workout room. (She also has brief steamy scene with her fiancé, NBA player Iman Shumpert)

With her amazing dance moves and body, Taylor completely slays in the video and she’s got everybody talking. Though Taylor entered the music scene in 2007 and has worked with West in the past, as well as with people like Jay Z and Chris Brown, wanting to capitalize on her “Fade” buzz, some white publications have decided to do the honor of “introducing” her to the world.

Now, you know Black Twitter and every other woke person was not gonna let this slide. Twitter quickly let the “white media” know what’s up and praised Taylor’s already established career.

https://twitter.com/Aries_Noir/status/770104934859759616

https://twitter.com/BadLittleLion/status/770117198820077568

It’s a shame that some believe styles, trends, and even artists aren’t popular unless white people know about it and then feel the need to “introduce” it to the world. We already know who Taylor is, it’s you who needs the introduction.

Beyoncé Shuts Down the VMAs, Snatches Wigs and Gives the World Life

They say that wine gets better with age, but the same is also true of America’s national treasure, Beyoncé.

For years, Bey has been blowing the competition away with her live performances. Her energy, talent and penchant for spectacle is simply unmatched. And every time Beyoncé raises the bar, we think to ourselves: This is it. It can’t get mo’ better than this.

And yet here we are, in the year 2016 and Bey has miraculously done it again. While Beyoncé has certainly turned in several memorable award show performances, this 15-minute abridged performance of her visual album, Lemonade, will surely stand out as her best.

Cherry picking a selection of tracks from her album, Beyoncé wove a complex, gorgeous and enthralling story throughout her performance. While it certainly followed and picked up on the cues from the visual album, such as the baseball bat in “Hold Up,” it was also infused with distinctly new choreography and visual treatments.

It started with “Pray You Catch Me,” which was imbued with rich symbolism and hinted at the nation’s racial tensions as angels’ white lights turned red as they fell to the ground.

Then, Beyoncé turned up the heat and brought her swagger out for “Hold Up.”

And there was so, so, so much more. Just do yourself a favor and sit down to watch these 15 minutes of glory Beyoncé has gifted us.

WE ARE NOT WORTHY!

And the BeyHive let the world know that their wigs were absolutely snatched by Beyoncé’s flawless performance.

Watch Rihanna Reign Supreme with a Medley of Performances at the VMAs

What if you found yourself being honored with a legacy award in your field at the tender age of 28? That’s exactly the situation Rihanna finds herself in as she accepts the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

It’s not as if she didn’t put in the work. She’s been in the game for 11 years and she’s put out an impressive 8 albums. So the work has been done, the time has been put in and the stats and accomplishments she’s earned speak for themselves.

So in a bid to give Rihanna the truly regal celebration she deserves, MTV decided to let Rihanna perform multiple times throughout the night. Rihanna divided her four performances up by theme.

Pulling from several hits in her dance-pop catalogue, Rihanna first performed a medley of “Only Girl,” “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been?”

The Disco Diva segment was followed by RiRi honoring her island roots with a Caribbean set that featured her island-flavored tracks, “Rude Boy,” “What’s My Name?” and “Work.”

Next up was Ratchet RiRi, which we’ve been seeing quite a bit of since Unapologetic. For this set, Rihanna pulled out some seriously high boots and stomped through the songs “Needed Me,” “Pour It Up” and “Bitch Better Have My Money.”

Ending things on a classy note, Rihanna pulled together her ballad set and took a break from doing her two-step on stage and showed off her vocal chops. We got a little “Stay,” “Diamonds” and “Love on the Brain.”

PHEW. If you tally up Rihanna’s total screen time it was damn near 20 minutes. Rihanna put in that work, work, work, work, y’all.

Britney Spears Wins Most Improved Award for “Make Me” VMAs Performance

So here’s the deal: Britney Spears never stood a chance. Although she hasn’t hit the VMAs stage since her disastrous performance of “Gimme More” at the 2007 VMAs, Britney had absolutely no chance of claiming the VMAs as HER night.

That’s because Rihanna was being honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which resulted in her performing FOUR different sets throughout the night. Beyoncé was given the stage for a whopping 15 minutes to perform a curated selection of tracks from her visual album, Lemonade.

Even worse is the fact that Britney had to perform after Bey’s earth-shattering set. MTV KNOWS that Britney needed every leg up she could get. Why put Britney right after the standard bearer when she’s just trying to get back to a C-grade performance?

But here’s the thing, I’m not gonna knock Britney. Given all of her mental and physical trauma, Britney’s improvements at the VMAs are worth celebrating. Britney had energy, verve and whip as she performed her new single “Make Me.” Her dancing wasn’t as sharp as it was in “I’m a Slave 4 U,” but it also wasn’t as stiff and robotic as it’s been in the last 4 years.

Her lip syncing was sloppy at times, and the handheld mics were basically stage props, given how much she was lip syncing, but if you’re not over Britney lip syncing at this point in her career, then I don’t know what to tell you.

The G-Eazy combo was a little awkward too. They were going for a lustful vibe and Britney paid slight homage to Janet Jackson when she grabbed G-Eazy’s crotch “If”-style, but at times G-Eazy’s leering at Britney just makes you feel uncomfortable.

G-Eazy’s gawking aside, this is the best Britney performance we’ve seen in years so we’ll take what we can get. Go, Brit-Brit.

Future F*cks Up Some Commas in Debut MTV VMAs Performance

Future, backed by a crew of dancers and a live band, got the crowd lit at the 2016 VMAs with a performance of his hit single “Fuck Up Some Commas.”

Following an introduction from Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps — who called the ATL rapper the most inspiring rapper in the game and said his “Stick Talk” single helped him get in the zone in Rio, where he won 5 gold medals — Drake’s Summer Sixteen Tour partner took to the stage to “Fuck Up Some Commas,” basically.

Watch below:

Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj Exercise Sex Appeal in “Side to Side” VMAs Performance

They say that being in love fills you with a bottomless source of energy and drive, but Nicki Minaj seemed surprisingly deflated in her guest appearance alongside Ariana Grande at the VMAs despite her supposedly flourishing relationship with Meek Mill.

At this point, Ariana and Nicki have collaborated several times on each other’s albums, so there’s an established camaraderie and connection between the two. Ariana seemed peppy as she sang while riding a stationary bike. But Nicki meandered and sauntered around the stage, looking like she just woke up from a 7-year slumber.

The theme for the performance was that of a girl-power workout video where everyone, including the men they’re objectifying, is dressed in pink.

It was cute, but also a bit of a retread since the pink workout routine is a concept Minaj already put to work for her “Anaconda” video.

Anyway, the song is cute and the performance wasn’t bad, but electrifying it was not.

Alicia Keys Continues Bold Makeup-Free Revolution at 2016 MTV VMAs

Alicia Keys did more than present the award for Best Male Video when she stepped onto the MTV VMAs stage. The singer-songwriter gave a powerful word with a short poem and with her look.

To honor the 53rd anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, Keys recited, what seems to be, an original poem. “If war is holy and sex is obscene, then we got it twisted in this lucid dream,” she begins. The poem, which she spoke and sang, encouraged harmony and unity, rather than hate and division. “Maybe we could love somebody instead of polishing the bonds of holy war,” the piece ends.

Keys’ appearance also made a bold statement. While being broadcast to millions around the world, she donned a fresh face, wearing little to no makeup. The singer has been leading a “makeup-free” campaign since May.

She explained in an essay published in Lena Dunham’s Lenny Letter that she feels makeup has a negative effect on women, particularly young girls. She says it harms one’s self-esteem and causes women to judge each other based on looks.

Instead of tearing each other down and “hiding” insecurities, Keys wants to empower women and hopes to start a revolution, by going makeup-free.

“I hope to God it’s a revolution. Cause I don’t want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing.”

What Alicia Keys is attempting is truly important. I’m sure her appearance and message resonated with many young girls watching the VMA Awards.

She is also expected to continue the campaign as she joins the upcoming season of The Voice as a coach.

Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Slayed the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards Red Carpet in Matching Outfits

All eyes were on Beyoncé and Blue Ivy as they made their way down the red carpet of the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards just hours before the show kicked off at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Rocking matching outfits, Beyoncé (wearing a sheer, all-white dress with “angel”-like wings) and her 4-year-old daughter Blu Ivy (dressed up like a princess in a pink dress with a trailing, ruffled tutu) basically stole the show before it even began. The adorable mother-daughter duo topped off their coordinating look with matching braids.

After posing for photos with Blue, Beyoncé ushered her little one into the Garden before coming back out to slay the VMA White Carpet one more time solo.

Thanks to the massive success of her sixth album, Lemonade, Beyoncé is nominated for 11 moonmen tonight (the most of any artist) and MTV also confirmed just hours ago that she will be performing.

Check out a bunch of photos of Beyoncé and Blue Ivy slaying the 2016 MTV VMAs red carpet below:

MTV Confirms Beyoncé’s 2016 Video Music Awards Performance

Welp, it’s official. Beyoncé will be taking the stage tonight at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards!

Rumors have been running rampant over the past week of a possible Beyoncé performance. Well, those rumors can be put to rest, because… IT’S REALLY HAPPENING!

Peep what MTV tweeted yesterday afternoon:

A lemon emoji and a screengrab from Beyoncé’s “Sorry” video. Hmm. Wonder what that could mean…

Then this happened:

That’s a video of Beyoncé’s famous bodyguard Julius making his way into Madison Square Garden, where the VMAs will be held this year, late last night/early this morning likely for the last and final dress rehearsal for Beyoncé’s “rumored” performance.

And now, for the official confirmation from MTV:

So, there you have it. The OFFICIAL word from MTV is that “BEYONCÉ. IS PERFORMING.”

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times is reporting that “Beyoncé has been in top-secret rehearsals” for the show. The last time she hit the VMAs stage was in 2014 when she performed a medley of her self-titled album as the recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

In addition to her confirmed performance, Beyoncé is in for a pretty big night, as she’s nominated for a whopping 11 awards, thanks to her critically acclaimed visual album Lemonade.

Other confirmed performers at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards include show-opener Rihanna (who will receive the Video Vanguard Award), Britney Spears, Future, Ariana Grane, Nicki Minaj and more.

Brandy Is Not Here For Monica or the #SoGoneChallenge

After getting into a public spat with her record label and struggling in general with her music and acting career, Brandy is sick and tired of the BS and she is not afraid to let people know that she doesn’t see it for Monica.

Although the two reunited on 2012’s “It All Belongs to Me,” Brandy has made it clear that the two have not carried or maintained any kind of friendship in recent years.

Here’s what Brandy had to say about Monica earlier this year, according to EW.

EW: People still love your 1998 duet with Monica, “The Boy Is Mine.” She said last year that the supposed beef between you guys was “brilliant marketing.”

Brandy: It was so long ago, I’m just in a different space. I don’t talk to Monica. We are on different paths.

If you thought that was just talk, Brandy’s petty behavior on Instagram toward Monica confirms it.

First she posted a shady meme about staying away from people who “decrease” your energy. She coupled the image with the hashtag #BeenGone, a reference to Monica’s “So Gone” song, which has been a trending hashtag for weeks now thanks to the #SoGoneChallenge.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BJiUncHjyYt/

Then, feeling left out by everyone tributing Monica via the #SoGoneChallenge, Brandy posted a fan rapping to the instrumental of her song “I Wanna Be Down.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/BJmBdaKDXnO/?taken-by=4everbrandy

She might as well have tagged it with #IWannaBeDownChallenge and #DontForgetAboutMeYall.

A fan jumped in the comments and asked Brandy if she’d participate in the #SoGoneChallenge. Her answer was so petty and sour it’d make a sour patch kid jealous.

Brandy continued to go back and forth with fans in her comments section over the Monica shade and she posted this particularly dismissive meme.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BJmG1q5j-Xi/?taken-by=4everbrandy

The Shade Room captured a particularly rude clapback between Brandy and a fan.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BJmP7Augdyr/?taken-by=theshaderoom

And when Brandy got tired of it all, she turned off the comments on her pictures and walked away.

Meanwhile, Monica is on her Instagram looking refreshed, relaxed and busy.

Still Working I couldn’t be more grateful.. Life will be filled with moments that you will never forget. The key to continuously being blessed is being aware of what you put out.. Negativity, envy, hate & jealousy are the key to an early demise.. What ever you spread amongst the world is sure to come back to you.. It’s up to you I choose LOVE, M.B.

Brandy, you are playing the game all wrong. Even if Monica’s resurgence is eating you alive, showing your petty like this is not the way, girl.

Drake Buys a Billboard to Woo and Impress Rihanna

Trey Songz might be the one known as Mr. Steal Your Girl, but Drake might the realest embodiment of that mantra.

Drake has taken his mack daddy game up several notches when it comes to winning his boo thang Rihanna over. With the VMAs coming up on Sunday 8/28, Drake decided to honor his Bajan queen with a full-fledged Billboard advertisement to congratulate her on her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Rihanna was all too happy to share a picture of the sweet gesture on her Instagram.

Note the use of the heart emoji there, y’all. Drake got RiRi ready to give him that sweet, that nasty, that gushy stuff.

Uh-Oh, White Women Fighting: Get the Deets on Lorde’s Subtle Shade Aimed at Taylor Swift

It’s sooo funny to see white girls throwing shade. Some people are speculating Lorde’s latest comments are a subtle dig aimed at bestie Taylor Swift.

Lorde had a whirlwind 2013 with her debut album, Pure Heroine. It has sold nearly 5 million copies worldwide and spawned hits like “Royals” and “Team.” But besides a collaboration with Disclosure and single for the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Pt. 1 soundtrack, the singer-songwriter has been pretty much silent.

“Do you think we will ever get another album or should we just give up on you as an artist?” a frustrated fan asked Lorde on her Instagram account.

And she actually responded to the blunt question:

“Give up on me if you want to! I’m an artist, I write a record when I have enough special stories to tell, and it’s all me, every melody every lyric, not some team who just start the machine up every eighteen months like clockwork.

The record is written, we’re in the production stages now. I’ve worked like a dog for a year making this thing great for you guys.”

So how is this honest response supposedly shade toward Swift? Well, as it turns out, the pop star actually does churn out an album every 18 months or so and the songstress is known to have huge teams working on her albums behind the scenes. *Check the credits, hoe*

Those fueling this rumor also noted that the once inseparable duo has not been photographed together in about a year.

It was recently reported that Swift’s “squad” was in crisis mode because everyone is tired of putting up with her diva attitude and mean-girl behavior. I’ve even heard she’s skipping this year’s MTV VMA Awards because she no longer has her squad, which she famously debuted at the event last year.

Could the Lorde-Taylor feud give credence to the shattered squad rumors? Honestly, I don’t really care. I just have to give a shout-out to anybody willing to call out Taylor Swift!

Britney Spears Forgot the Meaning of “Oops!…I Did It Again” in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke

The legendary Miss Britney Spears has finally made her way to James Corden’s passenger seat for a session of Carpool Karaoke. But next time, she might want to take some green tea to help her with memory issues.

The good news is that Britney showed up. The bad news is that she lip synched at least half of the time and looked mildly uncomfortable for a good portion of the segment.

Things got off to a shaky start when Britney inexplicably fumbled on a no-brainer question. When James Corden asked Britney what the meaning was behind her hit song “Oops!…I Did It Again,” Britney replied, “I don’t know. I think it’s just a song.”

Girl, what?

I know Britney didn’t write the damn song but you mean to tell me that she never bothered to ask the songwriters what the song meant? Or hell, just read the damn lyrics. It’s not like it’s brain surgery.

Well, we might be able to chalk Britney’s non-answer up to a brain fart because back in 2000, when she was promoting the album, she had no problem explaining the meaning behind the song. This is what she said in an interview with O-Zone in 2000:

Britney: Well the song is basically about a girl that all these guys are falling for her and she’s playing with their minds and she’s playing with their hearts. She’s not that innocent.

Admittedly, it’s a song that Britney says does not stem from her personal character. It’s more of a third-person story that she’s lending her voice to. And really, that interpretation of the song is as straight-forward as it gets, given the lyrics.

So to be clear, in 2000, Britney knew what “Oops!…I Did It Again” meant. But in 2016, after surviving drugs, mental illness and Kevin Federline, Britney just can’t be bothered to remember shit about it. I guess it happens.

After that awkward fumble, Britney remains visibly reserved, donning sunglasses and holding herself back throughout the rest of the Carpool Karaoke set. She shyly and slyly sings along with Corden, lip synching rather than belting along through many of her songs.

At the end, when the two of them are wearing Catholic schoolgirl outfits in homage to her “…Baby One More Time” video, she finally lightens up and loosens up. Perhaps the water bottle prop helped. One nice treat: We get to hear Britney’s powerful, growly “Mmmm yeahhh” in its purest form at the end. Even Corden is in awe.

Nicki Minaj’s Brother Faces No Less Than 15 Years in Prison in Child Rape Case

Jelani Maraj has four days to accept a plea deal or face the possibility of spending life in prison. Either way, Nicki Minaj’s brother will most likely spend no less than 15 years in jail for raping a minor.

According to Bossip, Maraj appeared in court Thursday (Aug. 25) to sign papers giving him and his counsel four more days to consider a plea deal that would sentence him 15 years behind bars. The deal was offered to him last month after his DNA matched semen found on the 12-year-old victim’s clothing.

Bossip exclusively reports:

Maraj, who has pled not guilty and is out on bail, walked briskly into the Nassau County courtroom Thursday. While waiting for the paperwork, Maraj appeared to shift in his seat and have trembling lips and bloodshot eyes. He told court staff he understood he would have to appear at the next hearing, signed the papers and moved swiftly out of the courthouse.

A trial is set to begin in November if he decides not to take the deal.

Plea deals are part of the legal game; this is understandable. However, I don’t see how any judge could grant a plea for anyone who rapes a minor — a 12-year old! Maraj is entitled to an “innocent until proven guilty” assumption, however, the DNA evidence is pretty damning.

His famous sister (and employer) has remained silent and has not had any involvement with the case. Previous reports that she paid Maraj’s $100,000 bail were shot down; it was actually their mother.

Odell Beckham Jr. Lights Up Twitter With Viral Hot Tub Video

Odell Beckham Jr. is back to making waves again.

The New York Giants wide receiver is currently training for the upcoming season. He decided to wind down in the locker room hot tub (like most athletes) but you know Beckham had to make it a little interesting and he’s somehow sparked gay rumors in the process.

In the short video that has gone viral, Beckham begins singing Marvin Gaye’s classic “Sexual Healing.” At the very end of the clip, teammate Dominique Rodger-Comartie emerges from the water.

This of course got folks on Twitter questioning the football player’s sexuality for the umpteenth time.

Speculation surrounding Beckham’s sexuality has been a popular topic of conversation in the past, I guess because he likes to dance and has a goofy personality?!

Those who actually understand sexuality and sexual orientation were quick to defend Beckham while also questioning what makes some straight men have a fragile sense of masculinity.

Beckham apparently saw all the commotion his clip was causing and responded with a simple tweet.

He clearly knows what’s being discussed, but his masculinity doesn’t seem to be as fragile as some. He’s basically trolling the net at this point and having fun. The haters are just gonna have to stay mad and spend their days wondering if this rich NFL star is gay.
