Watch: Drake Argues With Tyra Banks at Cheesecake Factory in “Child’s Play” Video

Drake released a 12-minute music video for Child’s Play, in which he incurs the wrath of Tyra Banks, who smashes cheesecake in his face after a pretty intense argument at, you guessed it, CHEESECAKE FACTORY.

The video basically brings this line to life: “Why you gotta fight with me at Cheesecake, you know I love to go there.”

The clip, which was released exclusively on Apple Music Saturday night (Sep. 3), opens with Tyra and Drake enjoying what should have been a romantic dinner at Cheesecake Factory. But everything goes south once Tyra takes a peek at Drake’s phone when he leaves the table to go to the bathroom.

“She called you Aubrey. She didn’t even call you Drake, she called you Aubrey,” Banks says, referring to Drizzy’s real name. “So, obviously there’s something a little bit more intimate for her to call you Aubrey. I call you Aubrey. Your mom calls you Aubrey. These bitches call you f**king Drake!”

At that point, Tyra is PISSED and she’s doing the ghetto clap in his face as a bunch of middle class families “who drive Camry’s and go to Disney” look on in disgust and horror all while covering their children’s ears. Some even get up and leave.

After Tyra makes it painfully obvious that she’s had enough of Drake’s B.S., she smashes a piece of cheesecake in his face and finishes him off by pouring a glass of red wine over his head. “Cheers Boo,” Banks says as she makes a dramatic exit by storming out of the restaurant.

The rest of the video finds Drake trying to get over being humiliated at Cheesecake Factory by hitting the famed Houston strip club V Live (of course), where Drake affiliate OB O’Brien (aka the Texas Hammer Jr.) plays the club manager.

“Child’s Play” follows “Hotline Bling,” “One Dance,” and “Pop Style” and “Controlla” as the fifth single from Views. Drake is currently on the road with Future for their Summer Sixteeen Tour.

Did Lil Wayne Really Announce His Retirement From Rap on Twitter?

Lil Wayne may or may not have retired from the rap game via Twitter.

The rapper caused some confusion on social media Saturday morning (Sep. 3) when he tweeted that he was “dun” due to him being “DEFENSELESS AND mentally DEFEATED.”

Weezy has been saying he’s “dun” with rap for the past couple of years, ever since his beef with Birdman and Cash Money was revealed to the world back in December 2014.

Long story short, Birdman decided that Carter V wasn’t worthy for release, Lil Wayne tweeted that he and his creativity were being held prisoner, and the rest, as they say, is history. A multi-million dollar lawsuit was filed, Birdman and Young Thug allegedly tried to have Wayne killed, and every chance Weezy gets, he makes sure to let it be known that it’s “f**k Cash Money” at all times.

If Wayne really is retiring, it wouldn’t be a complete surprise, considering all of the issues he’s having with his label. He also told MTV in 2012 that he would retire after Tha Carter V’s release. “Man, I’ve been rappin’ since I was 8 years old. I’m 30 now, man. That’s a long time, man,” he said at the time.

Lil Wayne’s latest tweets came not too long after Miami police were called to his home after receiving reports of a shooting, which later turned out to be a hoax call.

Not too long after he sent his fans into a frenzy by tweeting that he was “dun” rapping, Wayne appeared to clarify his message, saying that he wasn’t “lookin for sympathy, just serenity.” A few hours later, he added, “I’m good y’all don’t trip.”

Young Money president Mack Maine and Lil Wayne’s own daughter Reginae Carter also confirmed that he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, while fellow rappers Rick Ross, Lupe Fiasco, Chance the Rapper and even Missy Elliott have offered their support.

Even though Carter V is being held hostage and may never see the light of day, Lil Wayne hasn’t let that stop him from putting out new music.

Last June, he released the Free Weezy Album for free via Tidal, followed by No Ceilings 2 in November 2015. Wayne also dropped a mixtape with 2 Chainz called Collegrove back in March of this year, and he is rumored to be working on Dedication 6 with DJ Drama. Black Twitter Drags Lena Dunham for Crying Fake White Feminist Tears Over Odell Beckham Jr.

The self-appointed leader of white feminism, Lena Dunham, was dragged on Twitter for comments she made about NFL player Odell Beckham Jr. With nothing but her own internal thoughts as her guide, Dunham basically labeled the football star a sexist because he “ignored” her at the Met Gal.

The Girls creator/star published an interview with comedian Amy Schumer on Lenny Letter, Dunham’s online newsletter, to promote Schumer’s book. However, the casual conversation between friends took a turn when they began discussing how uncomfortable they felt at the fashionable Met Gala.

Dunham recalled that she sat next to Beckham and he never spoke to her. She automatically assumed this was because she was not attractive enough for his liking and because she was wearing a tuxedo and not a haute couture gown.

She tells Schumer:

“You and I were literally sitting across from each other at the Met Ball, and it was so surreal to get to do that. I was sitting next to Odell Beckham Jr., and it was so amazing because it was like he looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards. He was like, ‘That’s a marshmallow. That’s a child. That’s a dog.’ It wasn’t mean—he just seemed confused.

The vibe was very much like, ‘Do I want to fuck it? Is it wearing a…yep, it’s wearing a tuxedo. I’m going to go back to my cell phone.’ It was like we were forced to be together, and he literally was scrolling Instagram rather than have to look at a woman in a bow tie.”

Black Twitter will call Beckham gay in a heartbeat, but they defended him against Dunham’s baseless characterization of him and gave her a justified dragging.

Dunham attempted to clarify her comments, but still ended up looking clueless regarding the issue.

I proudly consider myself a feminist and will always support women’s rights and equality. However, Lena Dunham completely misses the mark here by declaring faux feminist outrage over something that NEVER HAPPENED.

The man simply minded his own business and she took that as sign that he judged her looks and decided she was not hot enough for him to even acknowledge. Any other time, Dunham would condemn a man for sexualizing her in any way.

So what’s the problem?! You know what, I actually don’t care! Lena Dunham just needs to have several seats and stop making up stories in her head and repeating them in public as fact.

Coon Rapper Kevin Gates Laughs About Devastating Louisiana Floods, Says Obama “Shoulda Got An Ark”

Kevin Gates is, once again, opening his mouth to say something incredibly stupid. TMZ caught up with the rapper and for some strange reason, asked for his opinion on the disastrous Louisiana floods and President Obama’s response.

The Baton Rouge native laughed and chuckled at the floods that killed 13 people and reportedly damaged 146,000 homes. The rapper then offered this sage advice:

“They shoulda got an ark.”

I don’t know exactly what’s funny about 30,000 people needing rescue from the worst US natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy (2012), but Gates’ remark is insensitive and just plain stupid. But I guess we should learn to expect such nonsense from the rapper.

Gates found himself in hot water after revealing himself as part of the “All Lives Matter” crowd. “I don’t believe black lives matter… all lives matter,” he said in a February 2016 interview with 106 KMEL’s Shay Diddy.

Most recently, during a Power 105.1 interview, he spouted a “black-on-black crime” defense to justify his stance.

“We kill each other. But as soon as a white boy kill one of us, everybody going hooping and howling and all that stupid ass shit.”

Mind you, this is also the same man that also admitted to having sex with his cousin and once kicked a girl out of his bed for not sucking his dog’s d**k.

Yeah, something is seriously off with this guy and I’m not quite sure why the media keeps asking him to weigh in on political matters or for him to speak at all. Can we just be done with him already?

Gabrielle Union Gives Nate Parker a Pass in Op-Ed Piece Regarding 1999 Rape Allegation

Many have waited to hear her thoughts and Gabrielle Union has finally addressed Nate Parker’s 1999 rape scandal. The actress wrote a powerful op-ed piece for the LA Times and says “I cannot take these allegations lightly.”

Union stars in the highly-anticipated Birth of a Nation movie, which Parker wrote, directed, and also stars in. However, she says she was unaware of Parker’s rape allegation when she signed onto the project two years ago.

“I have found myself in a state of stomach-churning confusion,” she writes since learning of the allegation.

Union takes the allegations seriously as she has been extremely open about her own rape. She was raped at gunpoint when she was just 19. This is largely why she accepted the Birth of a Nation role, a nameless slave who is raped.

The 43-year-old has read the 700-page trial transcript and feels she has an idea of what might have happened between Parker and his accuser. However, she also acknowledges that only the people involved know what actually happened.

“On that night, 17-odd years ago, did Nate have his date’s consent? It’s very possible he thought he did. Yet by his own admission he did not have verbal affirmation; and even if she never said ‘no,’ silence certainly does not equal ‘yes.’ Although it’s often difficult to read and understand body language, the fact that some individuals interpret the absence of a ‘no’ as a ‘yes’ is problematic at least, criminal at worst. That’s why education on this issue is so vital.”

As Parker was acquitted for his role in the alleged rape, Union chooses to focus on how Birth of a Nation can help further the conversation on rape and consent. “I believe that the film is an opportunity to inform and educate so that these situations cease to occur,” she writes.

“I took this part in this film to talk about sexual violence. To talk about this stain that lives on in our psyches. I know these conversations are uncomfortable and difficult and painful. But they are necessary. Addressing misogyny, toxic masculinity, and rape culture is necessary. Addressing what should and should not be deemed consent is necessary.”

Union has often been very vocal on many social and political issues. It’s great that she’s finally speaking out this particular issue. However, I can’t help but feel she lets Parker off the hook more easily than she would have for anyone else. She’s not above calling anyone out, not even a co-star. Could it be because the scandal has put the film’s Oscar chances in serious jeopardy? Hmm… I wonder!

I will find it most interesting to see how she handles the issue as the cast begin doing more press for the film and as award season comes around.

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Stevie J Headed to Jail Over Unpaid Child Support?

Stevie J may be going on an unexpected “vacation.” The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star posted a cryptic message on Instagram alluding that he may have to go to jail due to an ongoing child support case.

“Shout out to my real ones locked up… Bout to do this time starting next week. Sum thing light for this child support case.”

Stevie J has been in a child support battle with Carol Bennett for several years. The two have 2 children together and Bennett claims Stevie has only paid 132K in child support over the past 14 years. In 2014 court documents, she claimed he owed over $1 million in back child support.

Stevie appeared in court a few weeks ago regarding the case and expressed his thoughts on Instagram.

“2 years after I had this case dismissed in State court May 21st 2014 it’s a discrace to US Federal Court & a blatant waste of NY tax payers dollars. Haven’t lived in NYC since 2000 & my kids nor the mother of the children reside on NYC. This case is frivolous. So many important cases waiting to see the Honorable Judge Crotty than for this circus that is being portrayed. Time for me to make noise!”

The post was later deleted.

Although we don’t know all of the details or if he really is headed to jail, I hope Stevie understands that any jail time could have been avoided had he just paid the child support like he was supposed to. Or even properly fought the payments through the court system.

Stevie also isn’t the only LHHATL cast member that’s found themselves behind bars recently. His “niece” Tommie Lee turned herself into authorities after an arrest warrant was issued.

Despite their hardships, I’m sure Mona Scott-Young is just glad she has plenty of material for the next season of the VH1 reality series.

Tamar Braxton Defends Her Marriage and Her Husband After Alleged Domestic Dispute

Tamar Braxton has finally broken her silence regarding the recent domestic dispute with her husband and the singer is coming out strong!

Paparazzi caught Braxton and a friend at the airport and presumably asked how she and husband/manager, Vince Herbert, were doing following the incident. Braxton, not one to mince words, defended her husband and told everybody worrying about the state of her marriage to “have several seats.”

“Listen, let me tell you something… Just because somebody says something doesn’t make it law. I’m not even finna defend my relationship to anybody. Ever. This is a marriage. This is not my baby daddy. This is not my boyfriend. We don’t live together. This is my husband for 13 years…so everybody else can have several seats.”

Whew! Braxton’s definitely not playing anymore games. Though she likes to “spill the tea,” she obviously doesn’t like being on the other side of the gossip.

Braxton and Herbert were recently involved in a domestic dispute at the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta. 911 was called and the singer even revealed her husband bit her finger. Herbert fled the scene before cops could arrive, but police found no crime had been committed and no charges were filed.

Days later, the couple was seen hand-in-hand at LAX airport acting like nothing was wrong. Though they didn’t speak to a TMZ paparazzo, Herbert shared a smile and a thumbs up.

Something clearly went down during their stay at the Ritz Carlton. Although their marriage is really known of our business, I just want all parties involved to be happy, and above all, safe.

Lovers’ quarrels are common, but things really need to be examined and analyzed when finger biting comes into play.

Pamela Anderson: Millennials Are “The Crack Babies of Porn”

15-time Playboy cover model, 2-time celebrity sex tape star, and Baywatch actor Pamela Anderson says porn is bad. More specifically, she says, “this is a public hazard of unprecedented seriousness given how freely available, anonymously accessible, and easily disseminated pornography is nowadays,” in a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed piece.

Written with an American Orthodox Jewish rabbi, Shmuley Boteach, the two describe how porn is ruining relationships in America and say that people need to give it up. They urge readers to “understand that porn is for losers — a boring, wasteful and dead-end outlet for people too lazy to reap the ample rewards of health sexuality.”

Now, she does have a point. I mean, it’s crazy to think that we all have access to an endless amount of porn in our pocket right now, and combining that with an increasingly disconnected world, the effects on relationships can be major in today’s day and age.

In fact, a study published recently in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior found that younger millennials are more than twice as likely to be sexually inactive in their early 20s as the previous generation was.

It’s a classic “too many choices” problem. Studies have been done on “choice overload,” which basically says that when we have a nearly endless number of options to choose from, “the level of certainty people have about their choice decreases. And the anticipation that they will regret their choice increases,” says researcher Barry Schwartz.

In essence, too many options overwhelms us and makes us more anxious to actually make a decision. So when we have Tinder, OkCupid, Match, Bumble, and the endless other dating apps on top of meeting people in the real world, in essence we have too many options.

Now throw in the fact that you have porn as a constant backup, and, well, there’s a hint of truth to what Pamela Anderson is saying.

He once again refused to stand, this time with two more players joining him, proving his unexpectedly talked about protest is growing. Well, last night after the game he put an end to at least two of those. Showing he’s not just an armchair activist, Kap’s putting his money where his mouth is by saying he will give the first $1 million he makes this season to charities that help communities in need.

What You Need to Know About the Clown Sightings in Greenville, S.C. [UPDATED]

Clown sightings in Greenville, South Carolina have parents in fear for their children’s lives.

The clowns have reportedly been appearing at apartment complexes, and trying to lure children into the woods with candy and large amounts of money.

Here are a few things you need know about the sightings:

1The first clown sighting occurred at Fleetwood Manor apartments.

The property management at Fleetwood Manor sent a letter to their residents to inform them about the sightings after numerous children claimed to have seen the clowns.

There has [sic] been several conversation [sic] and a lot of complaints to the office regarding a clown or a person dressed in clown clothing taking children or trying to lure children in the woods. First and foremost at Fleetwood Manor Apartments childrens [sic] safety is a top priority. At no time should a child be alone at night, or walking in the roads or wooded areas at night. Also if a person or persons are seen you are to immediately call the police. Greenville County Police Department is aware of the situation and have been riding [sic] the property daily. Remember there is a 10pm curfew for the property so to ensure your childrens [sic] safety please keep them in the house during night hours and make sure at ALL times children are supervised. Anymore information that becomes regarding this issue will be sent out to all residents.

Donna Arnold told WYFF she learned about the clown sightings from her son after he and others spotted the clowns behind the basketball court. At first, Donna said she thought her son was lying until other children came up to her and told her the same story.

“I thought he was telling a fib and I said, ‘Go in the house and we’ll talk about this again,’ because I didn’t want it all over the place,” Arnold said. “And then the next day, there was like 30 kids that came up to me and said, ‘Ms. Donna, Ms. Donna, there’s clowns in the woods.’ My child was with me, so I knew they had to see something. There was more than one kid that seen them, so I feel confident that he was telling the truth.”

Another Fleetwood resident told police she saw the clowns after her son told her there were several clowns in the woods “whispering and making strange noises.” The woman said she went to the area to see for herself if the clowns were real and she saw them shining green laser lights in the woods. The woman’s older son also told police that he heard chains and banging on the front door of their home on the night of Aug. 20.

Another resident told police that she was on her way home on Aug. 21 at 2:30 a.m. when she saw a large clown with a “blinking nose” standing under a lamp post near a dumpster. She said the clown waved at her, but did not approach her or speak.

Deputies who visited the area said other children told them there were several clowns in the woods and they tried to lure them in with cash. The children also said they think the clowns live in a house near a point at the end of a trail in the woods. Deputies walked to a house at the end of the trail, but found no evidence of clowns.

Deputies also responded to gunshots in Fleetwood after residents at the apartment complex fired shots in the direction of the wooded area the clowns were thought to be.

2After clown sightings were reported at other apartment complexes in Greenville, residents took matters in their own hands and chased the clowns.

On Aug. 29, deputies were called to Emerald Commons apartment complex after a child said he saw a man, described as a black male in his 30’s, dressed in a clown suit. The juvenile also reported seeing a black male riding a bicycle while taking pictures of kids at the complex. Police didn’t find any evidence of a clown or a man riding a bicycle.

The same night, deputies responded to a call at Shemwood Crossing Apartments, where a 12-year-old boy said he saw two clowns in the backyard area, one with red hair and another with a white mask and body suit.

The next night, deputies returned to Shemwood Crossing, where residents were taking matters into their own hands and chasing after the alleged clowns.

Two women who live at the apartment told Fox Carolina News that they came close to catching the clowns until they escaped in a black Honda. One of the women said there were two clowns running on foot and a third one was the getaway driver.

Pat Oglesby, also a Shemwood resident, said that he chased after the clowns and heard them carrying chains as they ran away.

On Wednesday, a young girl walking home from school reported seeing a clown in wooded area near Hughes Academy in the Pleasant Valley area.

That same afternoon, a 13 year-old boy spoke with the news and told them a clown knocked on the front door of his home. The boy’s mother also spoke with Fox Carolina News and said she believes her son, even though she wasn’t at home at the time.

Later in the evening, a woman at Park Haywood Apartments told officers she spotted a clown at the complex’s laundromat. According to the woman, “the suspicious person did not make any action, just stood and stared” and was a man between the ages 35 and 45, and approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 200 pounds in weight. The woman also said the clown smelled like house paint.

On Aug. 31, a clown was reported in a backyard at Canaan Pointe Apartments in Spartanburg, S.C. A woman said she saw the clown in her yard and took a picture of him before he got away.

Authorities weren’t able to use the picture (above) because the photo was too dark.

3Police have found no evidence of clowns anywhere, but they are warning the possible culprits to stop.

Greenville County’s Police Chief Ken Miller held a news conference on Thursday (Sep. 1) to discuss the various clown sightings.

Miller said that there had been six reported clown sightings in the city and county, varying in race and costume. He also confirmed that none of the officers who responded to reports have seen clowns or found any evidence of them.

Miller said he is not sure if the clowns are connected to the upcoming “31” movie release or if it’s someone trying to terrorize the public, but assured that those involved will be arrested. “We will arrest you. We don’t want to, but we will,” he said.

Miller also encouraged people to not dress in clown outfits, to avoid getting hurt or arrested. Anyone who sees anything suspicious is asked to call 911. “The clowning around needs to stop. It’s illegal, it’s dangerous,” Miller said at the end of the conference.

4There’s only one alleged picture of the clowns. [UPDATE: It’s fake.]

UPDATE: We have been notified that this image is NOT of a clown sighting in Greenville, South Carolina. It is a screenshot from this video. The person who tweeted this (@kevthoman) 100% lied about its authenticity.

While there hasn’t been any official photos of any clown sightings released by authorities, Greenville resident Kevin Thoman posted a blurry photo of a clown on Twitter that he claims he saw behind Fleetwood apartments, where the clown sightings were originally reported. Thoman also said in another tweet that the photo is real and he was too busy running away to get a clear picture.

The photo has been featured in a video that Inside Edition made about the clown sightings and has been used by The Huffington Post, NBC News, and other media outlets, which Thoman isn’t all that happy about.

5Local party clowns are scared it will hurt their business.

Fox Carolina News spoke with Kelly Montfort, who owns Over the Top Entertainment and goes by Mr. Twister at birthday parties and events.

Monfort told them that he is scared the clown sightings could affect his business in a bad way. He also believes that it could be a possible publicity stunt for a haunted house or upcoming production.

“I am terrified of that actually. I truly hope it’s being made up,” Monfort said. “I truly hope there is not a psychopath that is going after kids, and if there is, I hope that someone catches them. I believe there is a chance that it could be a big publicity stunt for someone, a haunted house or some sort of production that will be coming in the next few months,”

6Parents are really upset about the clown sightings.

Parents of children that spotted the alleged clowns have been voicing their concerns over their kid’s safety.

Fleetwood resident Donna Arnold sent a furious message to the clowns (via the news) warning them that she is one angry mother who is “not going to take it”.

Arnold also instructed them to get out of the communities immediately.

“I’m begging you. Whoever you are, clowns, whoever is out in our communities get away. Here is one very mad, very angry mother that is not going to take it,” Donna Arnold said.

Cruel Teacher Humiliates 6-Year-Old Student By Throwing Away Her Shoes As Punishment

A Simpsonville, South Carolina teacher probably won’t get anything for Teacher Appreciation Day other than a side-eye. The teacher is in hot water after throwing away a first-grader’s shoes, forcing the 6-year-old to walk around barefoot.

6-year-old Taraji Edwards says the unusual punishment occurred after the teacher asked her 7 or 8 times to stop fiddling with her sandal straps. However, Taraji continued because the straps were bothering her.

The teacher demanded Edwards to take them off and then threw the into the trashcan. Taraji was forced to walk around barefoot until the teacher allowed her to grab them out of the garbage herself.

Taraji tells WSPA 7:

“I feel embarrassed, and I did not like how she treated me… that’s not a way I can make friends… I do not want to get treated like that; I’m only six.”

Taraji parents learned of the incident after the little girl began to cry when her mother asked her to wear the sandals. Like any parent, Chartrese Edwards is angry.

“This is not a norm and I am angry because I feel it was very malicious… I feel like it was malicious behavior. I’m angry about it because you could have used a better method.”

Chartrese talked to the principal and told the teacher to leave the shoes alone. She now questions whether to even send Taraji back to the school. The family has started a GoFundMe page to help send Taraji to private school.

Greenville County Schools released a statement condemning the teacher’s actions, but did not go into details of any disciplinary actions. The teacher’s name was also not released.

No 6-year-old should ever have to feel embarrassed, especially by a teacher. As far as I’m concerned, the teacher was the bad apple in this situation. I hope every teacher gives him/her the shadiest side-eye every time they walk into the teacher’s lounge.

Text Messages Reveal Chris Brown’s Accuser Baylee Curran Intentionally Set Him Up?

Since Chris Brown awoke to LAPD and SWAT swarming his mansion, I’ve felt there was something a little off about this story. Well, as it turns out, the woman claiming the singer pulled a gun on her may have intentionally tried to “set him up.”

TMZ reports that Baylee Curran allegedly sent a text to a friend named “Safari” on Tuesday (Aug. 30) at 2:37 am, shortly after Brown kicked her out his house. The contents of the alleged message should make you raise both eyebrows and give a side eye.

The alleged text reads:

“Hey safari don’t you know this freak Chris brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friend jewelry fake can you come get me my Uber is messing up if not I’m going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me and that will teach him a lesson I’m going to set his ass up. Lol come get me.”

Safari responded saying, “Really that’s f*** up you ain’t going to do that your wrong if you do.”

Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, has a copy of the text messages and is trying to determine if it’s legit.

Though the details of message fit with the going narrative of what went down, Safari also comes off a little sketchy. He told TMZ that Curran stole a Rolex from him last year and the two haven’t spoken since. So why would she contact him for help in such an intense situation?

Curran obviously denied the allegation. However, she also claims that she didn’t steal a $1,000 Louis Vuitton purse in 2013, when she was suspected of grand larceny; she blamed her friend instead.

Brown was released forom jail after posting a $250,000 bail. His court date is scheduled for September 20th, but I’m sure we’re going to learn about what actually happened that night as the weeks go by.

Mike Tyson Steals Ice Cream Bar at US Open Because Who Gon’ Check Him?

When Mike Tyson wants some ice cream, Mike Tyson gets some motherf**king ice cream. And you know what? He doesn’t have to pay for it, either. That’s basically what happened Monday night at the US Tennis Open which Tyson was attending.

“I was like, are you serious? Am I imagining this? (Tyson) was like ‘I feel like having an ice cream’ and he just took it.” That’s the story of the concession worker who was working the Ben & Jerry’s stand at Arthur Ashe Stadium Monday night (Aug. 29).

Apparently Tyson just walked up to the stand and snagged an ice cream bar before strolling off without paying for it. But like one stunned worker said, “What are you going to do, fight him? He’s Mike Tyson.”

No, you’re not going to challenge the “baddest man on the planet” over a $5.50 bar of ice cream. Instead, you just let him go back to the Presidential Suite and ham it up with other celebrities like Jewel, Alex Baldwin, Anna Wintour and Vera Wang.

As news spread, Tyson’s publicist, Joann Mignano, said that it was a “misunderstanding.”

“Mike got the ice cream and was going to have the host pay for it as he was running around with his family. He was being pulled in a lot of directions as his daughter, Milan, is a rising tennis star and huge fan of the sport…His host, David Slade, got the money from Mike and has made sure the bill has been taken care of.”

What Mignano fails to mention is that Tyson admitted, “Yeah I know, I stole your ice cream,” and that the payment didn’t show up until the next day.

So we all know damn well he stole that sh*t and wasn’t planning on paying for it. And you know what, if I was working that stand, I’d be just like those workers and wouldn’t have done a thing about it. I’ve seen the man in action and know better.

Lawsuits Coming for Tropical Smoothie Cafe Amid Hepatitis A Outbreak

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is coming under fire after the Center for Disease Control linked an outbreak of hepatitis A to them. Officials from the CDC noticed multiple people were suffering from the same strain of Hep A on August 12th, eventually tracing the outbreak to strawberries used in smoothies by the company.

Thus far, 69 people are known to be affected across 6 states, although the numbers could be higher. The symptoms of Hepatitis A range from nausea, stomach pain, low-grade fever, diarrhea, headache and a sore throat. As such, many patients don’t bother seeing a doctor unless they develop severe symptoms.

When news broke that Tropical Smoothie Cafe may have waited longer than they should have to act, attorneys took notice and decided to get involved. Apparently the company was informed their product could be contaminated four days before they decided to remove all of the Egyptian strawberries from their stores.

After that, it took an additional two weeks before the public was notified. This is enough to warrant a lawsuit, according to a Seattle-based attorney, William D. Marler. “It just seems pretty clear that they thought, in early August, that it was strawberries from Egypt (served by Tropical Smoothie Cafe) making people sick, and they didn’t say anything to people,” Marler said.

At least two lawsuits have already been filed with the potential for more coming as Marler and other attorneys are contacting more than 100 potential clients considering taking action against Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

Playing damage control, the CEO of the company, Mike Rotondo, issued an apology. “Eat better, feel better is not just a marketing slogan – it’s a promise, and it’s something I believe in dearly.”

We’ve all seen how outbreaks of this nature can wreak havoc on a food company (cough, Chipotle, cough), so it looks like Rotondo and his smoothie joint are going to have some rough times ahead of them.

It might have taken her over 30 tries, but Tommie Lee just might have mastered the art of taking the perfect mugshot.

As we previously reported, the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star turned herself in to Atlanta authorities Wednesday (Aug. 31) after a warrant was issued for her arrest. However, homegirl wasn’t going into the slammer looking busted. Tommie actually had a glam squad help her prepare so that she could surrender in style.

Though turning herself in might work in her favor, Tommie is reportedly still locked up. The warrant was issued in connection to threats she made against her LHHATL co-star Joseline Hernandez.

“The Puerto Rican Princess” originally claimed Tommie tried to run her over with a car three times and then threatened to kill her; a restraining order was granted based on the allegation. Tommie confirmed the incident during the taping of the LHHATL reunion special.

TMZ reports Tommie was booked on making “terroristic threats” and no word on if/when she will be released.

Tyga’s Red Ferrari Reportedly Repossessed After Skipping a Few Lease Payments

At this point, Tyga needs to stop frontin’ and look into opening a savings account. The rapper’s red Ferrari was reportedly repossessed Tuesday (Aug. 30).

And if that’s not embarrassing enough, the story gets worse. The repo man took the car while Tyga and Kylie Jenner were shopping for a new Bentley at a Calabasas dealership. The two had to catch a ride from a friend.

Apparently, Tyga has missed a few lease payments and the lessor was wise not to take any chances, given the rapper’s recent financial issues. The repo man reportedly used a spare key to drive off with the sports car, ultimately, leaving Tyga and Jenner stranded.

Tyga has had to face several financial and legal woes recently. He was just ordered to pay $180,000 in back rent and damages for a rental property he reportedly destroyed while using the space for his clothing line.

He also settled a $480,000 lawsuit after a landlord accused of failing to pay rent. He also allegedly owes $200,000 for jewelry he bought in 2013, but actually never paid for.

Aurora Shooting Victims Forced to Pay Movie Theater $700K

Back in July of 2012, James Holmes entered a showing of The Dark Knight Rises at a theater in Aurora, CO and opened fire. Using gas canisters, an assault rifle, a shotgun and a pistol, Holmes unleashed terror on the movie-going crowd, killing 12 and injuring an additional 70. A group of survivors banded together to sue Cinemark for not taking proper precautions to protect its patrons.

For some, the suit was to receive reparations for the physical and emotional damage caused during the shooting. For others, like Marcus Weaver, it was more about ensuring safety regulations at theaters were heightened to avoid an incident like this again in the future.

And for those like Marcus, it looked like they were going to get a win when Cinemark put a settlement offer on the table. The settlement wasn’t much money, $150,000 to be split amongst 41 plaintiffs. Although it wasn’t a large sum of money, however, it would have meant that Cinemark was admitting it failed to provide proper security and would have spurred action in theaters across the country.

The lawyer representing the case told his clients to take the deal, because if they refused and continued the case they would run the risk of losing in a big way. A Colorado law said that should the plaintiffs decline the settlement, pursue the lawsuit and lose, they would be liable to pay for Cinemark’s legal fees.

All of the plaintiffs were ready to accept the suit when one survivor decided it wasn’t enough. She rejected the deal, forcing the case forward into court.

On June 24th, the judge ruled that Cinemark was not liable, thus the plaintiffs lost the lawsuit. As such, they are now liable to pay the $699,000 in court fees on behalf of theater company.

Many aspects of this case demonstrate everything that is wrong with the US justice system. Cinemark seemingly ran up the court fees with unnecessary expenditures (spending $500k to have five experts testify); the fact that these victims are left footing the bill without getting anything in return; and also, the greediness of some of the plaintiffs, ignoring an offer that would have won them not only money, but the moral victory knowing that Cinemark admitted it was at fault and enacting changes across the country.

To me, the collective plaintiff definitely received the short end of the stick, but they also brought it upon themselves. But the fact that a group of people can go through a tragedy like that and then be forced to pay the theater where it happened is mind-blowingly asinine.

NFL Concussion Victims Still Waiting for $1 Billion Payout

Last year, Will Smith played Dr. Bennet Omalu in the movie Concussion. It chronicled the doctor’s findings that concussions in football players causes a traumatic brain disorder called CTE. The concussion issue in football hasn’t gone away (despite efforts to curb it), neither has a looming lawsuit against the NFL to former players suffering from CTE and their families.

On April 22, 2015, a US district court ruled in favor of more than 5,000 retired players in a class action lawsuit against the NFL that could end up costing the league $1 billion. All seemed well and good until a group of about a dozen former players decided to appeal the decision.

To them, they believed the deal wasn’t good enough, saying too limited a number of people would be eligible for payout. Their appeal has held up the process, as no players or families of affected players can receive their portion of the money until all appeals are exhausted.

For those rooting against the appeal so they could move past this settlement and collect their money, it seemed like all was well when the appeal was denied. But on Tuesday (Aug. 30), the estate of a retired player filed an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, further prolonging the settlement.

This means that the payout will continued to be delayed, and some are wondering why anyone is still fighting the settlement. “it is clear (they)…have motives other than what is in the best interest of the retired NFL player community,” said Christopher Seeger, co-lead counsel representing the plaintiffs.

He’s pushing the Supreme Court to deny the appeal, continuing on to say, “more than 9,000 retired players have sought enrollment in the settlement’s benefits. These appeals come with devastating consequences for the thousands of retired NFL players suffering…”

Most believe the Supreme Court appeal has no chance of winning out, and if it does fail, the NFL will have to pay out up to $5 million for players with ALS, $4 million for families of players who are found to have CTE after their deaths, and $3.5 million for players with Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s disease.

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Tommie Lee Turns Herself in to Police on Arrest Warrant

Drama from the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta cast never seems to stop. Tommie Lee just turned herself into Atlanta authorities after a warrant for her arrest was issued.

According to TMZ, it was found that Tommie made threats against co-star Joseline Hernandez. A warrant was issued, but Tommie glammed herself up and turned herself in on Wednesday, Aug. 31. TMZ also states she was booked for “terroristic threats.”

It’s no secret that Tommie has collected over 30 mugshots since 2003. She looks like she’s been to hell and back in most of them. However, now that she’s become somewhat of a public figure, Tommie called in her glam squad for her latest mugshot.

She even captured the moments on Snapchat.

Hernandez filed a restraining order against Tommie earlier this month after claiming she attempted to run her over with a car three times while walking to a store. Hernandez then claimed Tommie got out of the car and threatened to shoot her in the face or would get others to do so.

A judge ordered Tommie to stay 500 yards away from the “Puerto Rican Princess.” Tommie confirmed the incident during the LHHATL reunion special.

Tommie’s status after turning herself in is unknown.

Ray J Defends Chris Brown, Prompts First Words From Brown Since Posting Bail

Ray J definitely has his faults, but he just might be the friend you want when in a crisis. The Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star is defending Chris Brown after the singer’s recent assault arrest.

Beauty queen Baylee Curran accused Brown of pulling a gun on her. Ray was present during the alleged incident and he is firmly on Brown’s side. He spoke to Entertainment Tonight to share his thoughts on the situation and Brown’s arrest.

“My job is to just say that Chris is 100… meaning he’s a good dude. I think it was wrong and sad, and it hurts my feelings that you work so hard to try to get better, and a small little length of a story that you don’t even know is even real or not can affect you this much without even getting the facts.”

Though it seems he has information on what really went down, he tells ET he can’t confirm or deny Curran’s claims.

“I can’t say what’s truthful or not because I’ve never seen that happen and I was right there… So I don’t want to comment.”

As the ET host continues to relay Curran’s story, Ray says, “Everything you’re saying is ridiculous to me.”

The reality star was also reportedly handcuffed and questioned by the police after Curran alerted cops early Tuesday morning (Aug. 30). He was let go, but TMZ reported his car was seized and he had to use an Uber to get home.

Ray was one of the first to defend Brown. As LAPD and SWAT surrounded Brown’s house, Ray took to Instagram to slam police and reveal how “upset” he was over the situation.

“It’s just not right; It shouldn’t be like this. I support the homie, Chris… This sh*t gotta change.”

After posting $250,000 bail, Brown was released from jail. He reposted Ray’s original IG video with the caption, “Real friends!!!!! The world will see!!! TRUST ME.”

Brown has yet to release an official statement. He’s scheduled to appear in court Sept. 20.
