If there’s one thing Madonna, the bloodsucker who doubles as a pop star, is known for, it’s latching onto a trend.
Typically, this just means she picks the latest young star or starlet to hitch herself to for a collaboration. Last go round, this meant linking up with Nicki Minaj for her MDNA album in 2012 and again in 2015 for her Diplo-assisted jam, “Bitch, I’m Madonna.”
Somehow, someway, Madonna must’ve asked Nicki for the name and number for her ass surgeon, because Madonna turned up at her fundraising event during Art Basel in Miami, which benefitted her Raising Malawi charity, with an inflated bubble butt that had “Pink Friday” written all over it.
Madonna showed off fake cakes while she twerked next to the painfully thin and rhythmically challenged Ariana Grande:
So far, there’s been no official statement from Madonna or her reps, but let’s keep it real: Madonna’s no stranger to plastic surgery, so it’s not like this is her first go round under the knife. Still, it is ODD for a 58-year-old woman to get ass shots or butt implants or whatever the hell she did to plump her booty up like that.
The good people of the internet weren’t shy about making their thoughts and feelings about Madonna’s new ass known either:
So, I already knew Madonna has become Val as in Val from "Daria," but I didn't know she may have gotten her ass done. Bless her heart. https://t.co/svAeXNiCW6
While I’m typically a live and let live kind of person, I really think the fake-ass trend is one that Madonna would’ve been better off leaving to the youngins.
Vivica A. Fox and 50 Cent really need to smash one last time to release this pent up sexual tension they have, or move on already. It’s been more than a year since Fox insinuated the rapper was gay and they are still trading petty barbs at each other on TV and social media.
50 Cent appeared on the Dec. 1 episode of Watch What Happens Live! alongside Leah Remini. Clearly stirring the pot, host Andy Cohen couldn’t help but bring up the year-long beef between his ex, which all started when Fox visited the show in November 2015.
“I wasn’t even on the show, and I was here. She put me on the show. That’s what happens when you get older in Hollywood…. I said to myself, personally Andy, I said, ‘Oh no, because I let her lick my ass she thinks I’m gay.’”
After a little bit of teasing from Remini, Fitty said he will be more careful about who he lets lick his ass. “I’m sorry. I’ll never do it again,” he said. “No one like that. No one who will go on television and say something crazy.”
Following his appearance, 50 posted a still from the episode on Instagram, highlighting he and Remini’s funny banter.
Fox responded on Instagram with a post of her own. However, she went all the way in. The meme she posted showed a photoshopped 50 Cent wearing makeup. She called him a “queen” and said he lied on TV because she was not the one who participated in any butt play with him. She even suggested the two go on WWHL together to put the whole thing to rest.
Tell you what @50cent since you keep on telling that lie!! I challenge you to let’s both go on @bravowwhl and we can put this to rest!! That NEVER happened and you know it QUEEN! But keep on telling them how u like it tho!! Let me know when u ready cause I am!! Part 2: Crazy how you 4got that u paid me to be in ya Video and went on the radio saying you did wrong by me! Boy oh boy when that VAULT opens up its gonna be good! I’ve got a great memory @50cent AKA #CurtisFox
It’s really hard to believe they’ve been going at this for over a year. Does anybody really care at this point, besides them? On his first show back since Fox’s IG shade, Cohen invited 50 Cent and the actress to WWHL so they can squash it once a for all. I hope they take him up on his offer.
Are Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez back together? The jury is still out on that one, but it does seem the two are on the road to mending fences and the “hitmaker” may even be ready to claim Joseline’s unborn baby.
The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta stars rocked social media early Sunday morning (Dec. 4) after Stevie J posted a video on Instagram. The vid shows a very domestic-looking Joseline cooking breakfast, while Stevie speaks from behind the camera.
The two joke back and forth, with Stevie asking the Puerto Rican Princess if she was cooking for him because he allegedly wrote her some sort of check. They briefly discuss an upcoming baby shower and you can also hear Stevie tell the dog, “Daddy’s home.”
Although, many were not sure what to make of the video, what really raised eyebrows was Stevie’s caption. He wrote:
“Bonnie Bella is 4 weeks away… @joseline we may not always get along & have done some hurtful things to each other but raising a child takes both parents. I’m all in. #BonnieBellaJordan.”
The caption seemingly confirmed Joseline’s unborn daughter’s name will be Bonnie, which she subtly revealed on Instagram last week. It was also unknown whether the baby’s last name would be Jordan or Hernandez, since a paternity test is still needed to prove whether Stevie is, in fact, the father. However, his post cleared that up, too, claiming he’s “all in.”
Stevie’s video post instantly went viral and has since been deleted, with no explanation why.
The always rocky, yet entertaining relationship between Stevie and Joseline will continue to play out on reality TV. Stevie’s new spin-off, Leave it to Stevie, premieres on VH1 Dec. 19 and Joseline claims to be shooting a “delivery special,” which will document Bonnie Bella’s arrival.
Solange Knowles is known for being the hippie kid sister to Beyoncé and it’s not a reputation that she has earned undeservedly. Whether it’s through her style, her fashion or her music, Solange makes it clear that she marches to a slightly different drum than the rest of us.
She’s also established herself as an unapologetic advocate of the black community and her album, A Seat at the Table, essentially serves as a testimony to the black (and especially the black woman) experience.
But just because Solange dabbles in the black intellectual circles doesn’t mean she’s unlike us. And that was made clear when Solange recently shouted out her love and adoration to Bravo’s wildly popular and long-running reality TV series, the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
People love to act like because you’re well-read, have some political opinions and know how to write grammatically correct sentences that you can’t enjoy trashy TV like the rest of us.
You can twerk to Lil’ Boosie and do spoken word performances too. Liking one thing don’t mean you can’t like the other. Y’all better come on now!
A 25-year-old tutor for Baltimore City Schools is currently sitting in jail after assaulting a 7-year-old elementary student.
Police have arrested and charged Timothy Randall Korr with several counts of child abuse, while the student will reportedly need surgery.
Here are some things you need to know about Timothy Randall Korr.
1. Timothy Korr, a Baltimore elementary school tutor, has been charged with several counts of child abuse after slamming a 7-year-old against the wall and causing a “serious head injury.”
The incident occurred Monday (Nov. 28) at City Springs Elementary School in Baltimore. Timothy Korr was apparently carrying second grader Trayvon Grayson to the principal’s office for disciplinary action.
While heading to the principal’s office, Grayson suffered a “serious head injury” and was taken to the school nurse. The 7-year-old was ultimately transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Police were called, and after watching video footage of the incident, arrested Korr on several child abuse charges. The video has not been released to the public, but allegedly shows Korr slamming Grayson against the wall.
The little boy was “slammed so hard his body went limp,” noted Baltimore Police Department spokesman T.J. Smith.
Korr faces the following charges:
First- and second-degree child abuse
First- and second-degree assault
Reckless endangerment and neglect charges
Korr remains in jail after failing to post a $250,000 bond.
2. 7-year-old Trayvon Grayson needs surgery after suffering a broken jaw, cuts & bruises, and having several teeth knocked out.
It was initially reported that Trayvon Grayson suffered a “severe head injury.” According to updated reports, the second grader suffered a broken jaw, several cuts & bruises, and several of his teeth were knocked out, with one tooth being pushed into his gums.
Grayson’s mother Lateekqua Jackson arrived at the school to find her son in an ambulance, crying with blood in his mouth. “I looked in the ambulance and there’s my son, his face big, mouth bloody. I turned to the man [Korr], I said, ‘This isn’t regular restraint,’” she said.
“He goes to school and you think he was safe. It’s just really pretty bad,” the second grader’s father, Trayvon Grayson Sr. said.
Jackson says her son’s injuries aren’t just physical. He’s having nightmares of the assault.
“My son had dreams about it all last night,” she said. “He’s still shaking in his sleep, saying that he keeps having visions of (Korr) throwing him into a wall.”
3. Video footage shows the 255-pound Korr “manhandling” Grayson like a “sack of potatoes,” Baltimore police say.
Baltimore police are continuing to investigate the situation and were extremely disturbed by the violent nature observed in the footage obtained. Baltimore police spokesman T.J. Smith, who called the incident “despicable,” says after 225-pound Korr slammed the 7-year old, his body went limp
“The video does show him carrying the child and slamming him up against the wall, and it’s very difficult to watch. We cringed a number of times as we watched the video… To watch a child be basically manhandled like a sack of potatoes is incomprehensible.”
4. According to his lawyer, Timothy Korr believed the second grader was in possession of a gun. However, no gun or a gun replica was ever mentioned in the police report.
Timothy Randall Korr’s lawyer is claiming the situation was an accident and Korr believed the 7-year-old was in possession of a gun. According to Kurt Nachtman, two students told Korr the boy had a gun. Korr felt something in the child’s pockets after a pat-down procedure, but Grayson refused to hand over the object.
This is when Korr decided to take Grayson to the principal’s office. However, according the Korr and Nachtman, Grayson was non-compliant and continuously hit and scratched Korr while being carried. Korr ultimately lost his balance while going down stairs and the boy’s head hit the wall.
“At no point did my client have any intent to cause any harm to this child,” Nachtman said.
However, neither a gun nor a toy gun was mentioned in the police report. Baltimore City Schools and Baltimore police have also not confirmed or denied that any type of gun was involved. Korr says he last saw the gun in the City Springs school nurse’s office.
Lateekqua Jackson does not believe Korr’s version of events.
“[Trayvon] can’t throw himself into the wall and fracture his jaw and lose his teeth. He’s only 7 years old. He’s so small he’s not going to do the damage to himself.”
5. Korr was hired by charter school operator Baltimore Curriculum Project and was not screened by the Baltimore school system human resources department.
Timothy Randall Korr was a tutor at City Springs Elementary School through the Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP), the school’s charter operator. As Korr was hired by BCP and not the Baltimore school system, he was not screened by the school system’s human resources department, like most employees.
Laura Doherty (president and CEO of the Baltimore Curriculum Project):
“We are heartsick that this child suffered this injury. We pray for his complete and quick recovery and for his family as well. This is an unusual, isolated incident for our schools, and we are participating in a thorough investigation into what exactly happened.”
Korr has been fired since the incident occurred.
The Baltimore school system is cooperating with the police investigation and BCP. A spokesman says it will take “any action warranted once the investigation is complete.”
I’ve written about Draymond Green’s proclivity to kicking his fellow basketball players more than any person should have to write about such a thing, but when the NBA instituted what became popularly known as the “Draymond Rule” over the summer, I thought it would be over.
Well, it turns out that was wishful thinking, because less than twenty games into the season, and Green is already back to his old ways. Last night during the second overtime against the Rockets, Green was issued a flagrant foul for doing this:
If I can say one thing, it’s at least he’s stepped up his kicking game, literally. He’s no longer going for opposing players’ reproductive organs, now he’s going straight for the head. The foul ended up contributing to the Warriors third loss of the season as Harden nailed both of his free throws.
And while Green remained calm in the post-game interview, he never outright said that he was at fault or that it was intentional. But later in the night he sent out this Tweet, proving he thinks it’s a big conspiracy against him.
Really, Draymond? You kicked James Harden in the head. And I’ve played a good bit of ball in my day, and I’ve never seen someone’s leg go that high on a shot. That’s more akin to a ballerina stretching than a normal basketball move.
And it’s not even the first time this season that his legs have shown a life of their own. Twice already there’s been somewhat questionable kicks during games. Exhibit A and B.
Who knows, maybe Green suffers from some sort of restless leg syndrome that prevents him from controlling the movement of his limbs. Or, he just doesn’t care and will continue to do this. Whatever the case may be, opposing teams might want to start wearing full on football gear to protect themselves when playing Green in the future.
We’re still a month and a half away from Trump officially becoming the next president of the United States (still can’t believe I have to type that), and already, the regret is starting to roll in.
Even before the election, many said that they didn’t necessarily like Trump, but that they couldn’t bring themselves to vote for Clinton, and now, it looks like a lot of those people are regretting their decision.
#Trumpgrets has started to sprout up on Twitter and even has its own Tumblr page dedicated to people expressing their regrets for voting Trump last month. And it’s not surprising. Less than a month after winning the election, he’s already backed off of many of his campaign promises.
As Trump continues to fill his cabinet (with a lot of dubious picks), the vision of what a Trump presidency might look like becomes clearer by the day. So when he announced that James “Mad Dog” Mattis would be our new Secretary of Defense, it said a lot of things.
Surprise, surprise. Charles Barkley has made another stupid, trolling comment. Last night on Inside the NBA (arguably one of the most entertaining sports talk shows on right now) the group was debating which team is best in the west.
When trying to get Barkley’s opinion on the matter, the rest of the guys were treated to a back and forth, non-committal answer for a few minutes before he finally settled on the Spurs. This drew criticism from Kenny Smith who lit into him for never giving the Golden State Warriors enough credit.
And it’s true. Over the past few years of the Warriors’ great play, Barkley has not once admitted that they are the best team, even after they won the championship in 2015. So it really shouldn’t have come as a surprise when he busted out this little gem last night:
“I’m just saying, listen: maybe I’m old school, but I’m never going to like that little girly basketball where you have to outscore people … I’m biased against girl basketball.”
Charles Barkley explains why he doesn't like the way the Golden State Warriors play basketball pic.twitter.com/DaTud8Lwje
That’s right. According to Charles Barkley, “basketball where you have to outscore people” is “girly” basketball. Umm, Chuck, that’s how you win games, buddy.
Now, of course he was referring to the fact that they apparently play soft defense and need to score like crazy to win, which goes against Barkley’s old school, playing tough mentality. But as Yahoo! Sports so aptly pointed out, the Warriors have actually been pretty damn good at defense over their past few seasons.
But hey, they shoot a lot of threes, and apparently that doesn’t sit well with Barkley. He clearly has something against the Warriors organization (except for Draymond Green, of course) and at this point, even his co-hosts think it’s ridiculous.
And quite frankly, if their “girly play” can get them the best regular season record ever, back-to-back finals appearances, and an NBA title, I’m betting the Warriors are just fine with that. More than you can say, Chuck…
In just a matter of hours, J. Cole has become the hottest topic in hip hop. The rapper surprised fans by announcing his fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Only, will be released next week (Dec. 9). However, it’s the album’s accompanying documentary, Eyez, that’s really got people talking.
Released exclusively through Tidal, Eyez is a 40-minute behind-the-scenes look into Cole’s creative process. The North Carolina native and his team are seen fine-tuning instrumentation for the project such as violins, saxophones, and trumpets. He also stresses how he wants to just make authentic music.
“You get to this height or this level of your career in terms of platform, and who’s to say – the next one might go down, could go up. You’re never guaranteed to be this high again. So while I’m here, let me use this opportunity to say the realest s**t I have ever said, in case the next time that shit is down here.”
And he definitely got real! Eyez contains two visuals for tracks that are presumably titled “Everybody Dies” and “False Prophets.” The latter is causing quite the buzz as many believe Cole is taking direct shots at Kanye West and Wale.
Lyrics from “False Prophets”:
Ego in charge of every move, he’s a star/And we can’t look away due to the days that he caught our hearts/He’s fallen apart, but we deny it/Justifying that half-ass shit he dropped, we always buy it/When he tell us he a genius but it’s clearer lately/It’s been hard for him to look into the mirror lately/There was a time when this nigga was my hero, maybe/That’s the reason why his fall from grace is hard to take
Maybe it’s my fault for idolizing niggas based off the words they be rapping/When come to find out these niggas don’t even write their shit/Hear some new style bubbling up, then they bite that shit
Social media has definitely reacted to “False Prophets,” Eyez, and the upcoming album.
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are new parents for the second time. It has been confirmed by Kunis’ rep that the couple welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday (Nov. 30). A name has yet to be revealed.
The former That 70s Show stars usually try to keep intimate details of their personal and home lives private. However, Kutcher slipped up in October and accidently revealed the sex of the couple’s baby in October during an interview with currently pregnant Today anchor Savannah Guthrie.
Apparently, the couple’s two-year-old daughter was adorably struggling to understand mommy’s growing belly.
“She points to Mila and she’s like, ‘baby brother’ when she points to the belly and then she points to dad and she goes, ‘Beer!’ So I think she gets there’s something in the belly but I don’t quite think that she knows that it’s not going to be a plastic doll yet.”
It actually feels like the couple just had their first child. Daughter Wyatt Isabelle was born in October 2014. The Kutchers then wed several months later in July 2015.
The new bouncing baby now makes a family of four. However, Kutcher recently stated on Late Night with Seth Meyers that he wanted nearly 12 children. I’m going to go on a limb and say Bad Moms star Kunis has not agreed to this number. For now, let’s just celebrate the birth of Baby Boy Kutcher.
All the rumors, speculation, and mysterious teases can be put to rest. We’ve heard it straight from the horse’s mouth. Evelyn Lozada is joining Basketball Wives LA!
Evelyn will be guest co-hosting The Real for a week, starting Monday December 5th. However, she dropped the big news exclusively for the daytime talk show just a tad bit early.
After a few years doing other projects, the original Basketball Wives star says she’s returning to the franchise in hopes bringing “substance and depth” to the popular VH1 reality show.
Evelyn: I know. I know what everyone’s thinking. Everyone’s like is she going crazy. This is her going backwards, but I’ve had several conversations with Shaunie about this and we just really want to change the direction of the show. I feel like a lot of the arguments and a lot of the storylines have, you know, been done before and…
Loni Love: Money not a factor? [She laughs.]
Evelyn: Yeah, not a factor. I feel like I should be getting a check every time somebody says “it’s not a factor.” But, I mean we really want to add substance and depth to the show.
Oh, boy! Filming hasn’t even begun and she’s already throwing shade.
While still exciting news, Evelyn’s renewed Basketball Wives status was pretty much expected. Sources close to the situation revealed producers were cleaning house for season 6 and more than half the cast was fired. Five cast members, including Brandi Maxiell and Angel Brinks, were kicked to the curb.
Things really get interesting if you recall Evelyn stated in a September VH1 Live! interview that she would only entertain the thought of joining BBWLA “if they changed half the cast.”
“If they, no shade to the ladies, maybe if they changed half the cast, maybe I’ll make another appearance.”
Evelyn got her wish and she will be joining Shaunie O’Neal, Tami Roman, and Jackie Christie. Season 6 is slated to begin filming today (Dec. 2).
To find out any more juicy details, be sure to check out Evelyn Lozada co-hosting The Real starting Monday, December 5th.
Former New York Jets running back Joe McKnight (28) was shot and killed Thursday (Dec. 1) in Louisiana during a road rage incident.
Police have identified 54-year-old Ronald Gasser as the shooter. Here are some things you need to know about Ronald Gasser:
1. A 54-year-old white man named Ronald Gasser is the prime suspect in the killing of former NFL star Joe McKnight.
Ronald Gasser has been named as the man who shot and killed ex-NFL running back Joe McKnight. The shooting occurred near a busy intersection around 2:43 PM Thursday (Dec. 1) in Terrytown, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans.
EMS attempted to revive McKnight, but he died on the scene. Photos show Gasser sitting on the ground, resting by his blue Infinity as EMS performed CPR on McKnight.
Gasser remained at the scene until police arrived and handed over his gun to authorities.
He is in police custody, but has not been formally arrested or charged with a crime. Police are questioning him to determine what led to the fatal shooting.
Police say McKnight was unarmed.
2. Gasser reportedly said “I told you don’t f**k with me,” while standing over McKnight’s body. Police are investigating the shooting as a road rage incident.
A motive for the shooting has not been determined, however, police suspect road rage. Several witnesses have given differing versions of what they saw.
An unnamed witness says she saw Gasser yelling at McKnight as the footballer appeared to be apologizing. She then states Gasser shot McKnight and yelled “I told you don’t f**k with me!” while standing over his body. Gasser then fired another shot.
Other witnesses say they saw Gasser pull McKnight from his car. Some witnesses heard four shots.
3. Ronald Gasser’s sister and daughter are “speechless” and struggling to cope with the situation.
Ronald Gasser’s family is completely stunned by the news and having trouble coming to terms with the reality of the situation. Sharon Weileman, Gasser’s sister, had just gotten home when she saw shooting on TV. With her voice “quavering,” she gave a phone interview with NOLA.
“He’s the best guy, the most generous guy. I have no idea what happened. I can’t even talk right now.”
Gasser’s daughter, Candice Gasser-Bua also gave a phone interview:
“I’m speechless at the moment. I’m still trying to wrap my head around what happened.”
According to Gasser-Bua, her father ran his own telecommunications business, Lan-Tel, dealing with “office communication equipment, I.E. telephones, wiring.”
Ronald Gasser’s LinkedIn account states he attended the Naval Air Technical Training Center and is also the owner of a plumbing company, Go Live Installs.
4. Gasser has lived alone since his father died in 2015. Neighbors describe him as a loner.
Several of Ronald Gasser’s neighbors described him as a “loner” who kept mostly to himself. The residents remained anonymous citing safety concerns.
“He seemed to be a loner. I never saw anyone else coming or going out of there.”
Gasser has lived in the neighborhood for about 15 years, when he moved in with his father. His father passed away in 2015 and the suspected shooter now lives alone.
When shown photos of McKnight’s alleged shooter, two of the residents identified the man as their neighbor. They also identified the blue Infinity as Gasser’s car.
Another unnamed resident added:
“People are so angry. I don’t know how we got to this, or how we get out of it.”
5. Ronald Gasser had no previous criminal record, but could now face up to life in prison.
The sentence in LA for 2nd degree murder is life. Any hate crime enhancement is an additional 5 years to run consecutive. #RonaldGasser
It also appears Ronald Gasser had no criminal record prior to the shooting. New Orleans attorney CJ Mordock tweeted the possible charges and sentence for Gasser: “The sentence in LA for 2nd-degree murder is life. Any hate crime enhancement is an additional 5 years to run consecutive.”
The hate crime enhancement would come into play if Ronald Gasser were convicted of manslaughter. Manslaughter has a range of 10 to 40.
Former NFL running back Joe McKnight has been killed. The 28-year-old was shot multiple times Thursday afternoon (Dec. 1) in New Orleans in an apparent road rage altercation.
The incident occurred at 2:43 PM at the busy intersection of Behrman Highway and Holmes Blvd. Family has identified McKnight as the victim.
Police say McKnight was shot by 54-year-old Ronald Gasser. The shooter is currently detained and being questioned by the police. However, he has yet to be officially arrested and charged with a crime. Gasser remained on the scene after the shooting and handed over his gun to police officers.
Gasser’s motive is still unclear. However, an unnamed witness said she saw Gasser yelling at McKnight, who seemed to be trying to apologize. The witness says Gasser then shot McKnight, yelled “I told you don’t f*ck with me!” while standing over McKnight, and then shot the footballer one more time.
Police did not find a gun on McKnight or near his car.
While in high school, McKnight was considered one of the best running backs in the country, with The Times-Picayune naming him the high school athlete of the decade in 2009. He went on to play football for the University of Southern California and was drafted by the NY Jets in 2010.
He was currently playing in the Canadian Football League for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Current and former teammates have expressed their condolences upon learning of his death.
Craig Reynolds (Rough Riders president and CEO):
“We are saddened to hear of the tragic loss of Joe McKnight. Losing a member of our Rider family this way is an unthinkable occurrence. Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe’s family, teammates and coaches.”
A statement from the NY Jets read:
“Joe McKnight was a loving father and a genuine, kind-hearted person. It is sad when life is taken in what appears to be such a senseless act of violence. Joe you will be missed.”
Kodak Black has been set free and is back home in Florida. The 19-year-old rapper has been released from a Florence, South Carolina jail after posting a $100K bond. He is facing criminal sexual assault charges.
Kokak posted a picture of his release on Instagram. “I’m happy to finally be going home to my family and friends. I look forward to clearing my name in the very near future,” he wrote while also thanking his team and fans for their support.
The accuser and a friend went back to the Comfort Inn and Suites in Florence to hang out with the rapper and another person, the woman told deputies.
After a few minutes, she and [Dieuson Octave — Kodak Black’s real name] went into a separate room by themselves, the woman told police. That’s when the attack began, between 11:40 p.m. Feb. 6 and 1:30 a.m. Feb. 7, the report says.
Octave pushed her onto the bed and then the floor, where he sexually assaulted and bit her, according to the allegations.
He told the woman he couldn’t help himself, as she screamed and tried to push him off her.
Kodak’s lawyers believe he will be “vindicated’ in the assault charges. And while released from jail, he will still be under house arrest and a five-year probation from a previous, unrelated charges.
Kodak’s release has sparked many reactions from social media, making “Kodak” a worldwide trending topic on Twitter, and briefly the no. 1 topic in the US.
Big changes are coming to Basketball Wives LA. According to sources, over half of the cast from Season 5 has been fired!
Season 6 is scheduled to begin filming later this week, but The Jasmine Brand is exclusively reporting that fan favorites like Brandi Maxiell and Angel Brinks have been given the boot. Angel Love, DJ Duffey, and Malaysia Pargo are also reportedly not returning, a source tells TJB.
“The network wanted to shake things up, so they didn’t renew contracts for Malaysia, Brandi, DJ Duffey, Angel Brinks and Angel Love. None of them will be full time, but the network is giving them the opportunity to make a few cameos. We’ll have to see how filming plays out.”
However, that’s not the only big news. The source also confirmed Evelyn Lozada will return to the franchise that launched her career. Evelyn is expected to join returning cast members Shaunie O’Neal, Tami Roman, and Jackie Christie.
“The network is really excited she’s returning. Evelyn, Tami and Shaunie were favorites in Miami.”
Rumors of Evelyn’s return to the popular VH1 series began earlier this week. Things kicked into high gear after she teased a “huge announcement” on Instagram. The post suggested that she may be replacing Tamar Braxton as a co-host on The Real, while others believed she would confirm her Basketball Wives return on the talk show.
We now know she will only be guest co-hosting for the week of December 5th.
Say whatever you want to say, but “Who made the potato salad?” will always be an extremely important question. Three people have died, and 14 others have become ill after eating a Thanksgiving meal hosted by a Northern California church.
California health officials are investigating a foodborne illness outbreak after several people became ill after eating a Thanksgiving meal prepared by Golden Hills Community Church. A total of 19 people exhibited signs of food poisoning, with 17 checking into the hospital for treatment.
While most have recovered or currently recovering, three people died from the illness. All three lived in the same assisted living facility.
Over 830 people attended the church’s annual event, many homeless or without family. Some of the food was prepared at the event’s location, while a good portion of the meal was prepared by church volunteers in their private homes and simply warmed up at the event.
Health services have tested for 21 foodborne diseases, included salmonella and E. coli, but results were negative and a cause for the illnesses has yet to be determined. Samples have been sent to the Center for Disease Control for further testing, but these results could take months.
“Our dinner in Antioch is only one of a number of possibilities that County Health is investigating. We are fully cooperating with health officials and are praying fervently for the families who lost loved ones and for others who are sick.”
Racists have seriously been coming out with no shame lately. A Denver anesthesiologist revealed her racist thoughts after describing First Lady Michelle Obama as a “monkey face” who speaks “poor ebonic English.” Despite the outrage, the doctor pulled out a racist’s number one go-to assertion: “I’m not racist.”
Dr. Michelle Herren originally posted a picture on her personal Facebook of Obama appearing to scream after a friend praised how eloquent the First Lady speaks. Herren added her caption to the photo.
“Doesn’t seem to be speaking too eloquently here, thank god we can’t hear her! Harvard??? That’s a place for ‘entitled’ folks said all the liberals!”
Herren didn’t stop there. Another friend commented how it seems OK to criticize future First Lady Melania Trump, but any negative comments about Obama are deemed racist. Herren’s response:
Herren is a doctor at Denver Health Medical Center, a public hospital with a large number of minority patients and she’s also an assistant professor at Colorado University School of Medicine. Outraged, Joann Nieto contacted the Colorado University Board of Regents after seeing Herren’s post on her news feed.
“Hiding behind the excuse that you’re not racist doesn’t negate the fact that you are being racist,” Nieto told a local news station.
Herren has since deleted the racist comments, and ultimately deleted her Facebook account. While she still has a job, Denver Health has also confirmed she “will not be seeing patients or providing anesthesia services” until further notice.
Denver Health previously stated it couldn’t fire Herren for her racially charged comments:
“While the leadership of Denver Health is appalled by these remarks, as a public entity we are constrained by both state and federal law, including the First Amendment right of free speech, to terminate any employee for their off-duty comments, regardless of how offensive their comments may be.”
Herren — who reportedly earns more than $363,000 a year — says her comments were taken “out of context.” She also claims she didn’t know the term “monkey face” was considered racist and maintains the notion she is, in fact, not racist.
This is just the latest racist attack against Michelle Obama in recent weeks. A West Virginia mayor called the First Lady an “ape in heels,” while an Alabama police officer said she was “fluent in ghetto.”
The ongoing feud between T.I. and Floyd Mayweather may be causing trouble in T.I. and Tiny’s marriage. Reports that couple is divorcing have spread since Floyd and Tip have traded a few jabs online over the past few days.
Though a rumor suggested Tip had filed for divorce after a video of Tiny and Floyd dancing surfaced, Gossip Cop has confirmed this is not true. However, the site says Tip and Tiny’s relationship has hit a “rough patch.”
A source says T.I. was “not thrilled about what happened” regarding the leaked video, but “plans for divorce is not on the table.”
“They are always up and down. They’re as much together and apart as they’ve always been. At the end of the day, they’re ride or die.”
The source even stated the couple still live together. For quite some time, reports have claimed the couple lives apart in separate houses. The source attempted to explain they stay at different homes on any given day simply because T.I. owns multiple properties.
Divorce may not be on the table just yet, but problems in their marriage clearly exists. Since the Floyd/Tip drama earlier this week, Tiny has thrown shade at her husband on social media. She has liked several memes that can only be seen as direct hits towards T.I.
Will Tip and Tiny be able to weather this storm? T.I. recently posted an inspirational message on Instagram following the Floyd drama. Hopefully this is a sign the couple can take Floyd Mayweather out of the equation and focus on their real issues at hand.
Has The Real finally found a fifth co-host to replace Tamar Braxton? While it’s not official (yet), this actually may be the case. And the lucky woman to (possibly) join the “girl chat” conversations is… Evelyn Lozada!
Lozada got people talking after she informed fans she has a “huge announcement” coming Thursday (Dec. 1). The photo attached included The Real’s signature font & purple color scheme and white triangle background.
However, before we jump the gun, some have speculated Lozada’s impending announcement will involve going back to her reality roots. Reports suggest she is in talks to joinBasketball Wives LA as a full-time cast member. Season 6 is already in pre-production and set to start filming in a few weeks.
Lozada was an original member of Basketball Wives for five seasons and has previously stated she had no intention of returning to the franchise. Lozada recently starred in her own reality show on OWN called Livin’ Lozada, which ended after just two seasons.
We don’t exactly know what Lozada’s planning to announce, but The Real seems to be involved in some way, even if it’s only the place where she will reveal the big news.
However, I have a strong feeling Tamar Braxton will have to add another name to her “unfollow” list.
