Mugshot Madness: Man Arrested After Throwing Hot Coffee on Teen McDonald’s Employee

A South Carolina man who police say threw a cup of hot coffee at a teenage McDonald’s employee because he was mad about his order taking too long turned himself into police nearly a month after the incident.

Police said Joshua Emery Noel had a warrant for his arrest issued on January 11th for second-degree assault and battery after surveillance video of him throwing coffee at the 16-year-old employee was released.

According to an incident report, Noel asked for a large fry because he was irritated about having to wait for his original order. The worker said Noel asked to see a manager and then became upset at her, saying that she rolled her eyes at him.

Noel then motioned for her to re-open the drive-thru window, and when she did, he threw a cup of hot coffee in her face. The teen’s mother said she suffered first-degree burns as a result of the incident and has since healed.

Noel surrendered to police on Wednesday (Jan. 16) and admitted to throwing coffee on the teen employee. The incident reportedly happened on December 21st.

Noel was booked and later released on $7,500 bond.

Spartanburg High School Football Player Nick Dixon Dies Unexpectedly Day After College Commitment

A South Carolina community is in mourning after a popular high school football player died unexpectedly during surgery.

According to WSPA 7 News, 18-year-old Nick Dixon—a senior at Spartanburg High School and the school’s football captain—died Friday afternoon (Jan. 11) at Spartanburg Medical Center after experiencing complications during an ACLA and meniscus surgery.

Superintendent Dr. Russell Booker said Dixon passed away less than 24 hours after he verbally committed to attend Wingate University and play defensive line or linebacker for the Bulldogs.

“You can tell a lot about our young people with what they post on social media and if you take some time and look at his, all you will find is him encouraging different people,” Dr. Booker told WSPA.

“His last post – he posted something that said ‘not done yet.’ The was encouraging somebody back in November where he says ‘God always has a plan.’ I want all of us to take heart in Nick’s words that God always has a plan.”

Dixon’s last game was the Shrine Bowl, in which players from South Carolina and North Carolina play against each other in an all-star setting. “Which means he was one of the most elite athletes in his position,” Booker said.

Dixon played linebacker, defensive line and running back for Spartanburg H.S. According to his 247Sports profile, in addition to Wingate, Dixon also had scholarship offers from Georgia State, The Citadel and North Greenville College.

“I can’t begin to tell you how heartbroken we are at the loss of one of our beloved students, Mr. Nick Dixon,” read a post on the Spartanburg football Facebook page Friday. “He died unexpectedly this afternoon during surgery. Nick was most recently honored to play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. What an awesome young man gone too soon!”

Family friend Primes Woodruff said of Dixon: “He had a very bright personality. Had a really, really big heart.”

Woodruff added: “He took to this community so strongly – not just as an athlete but the pride he found in this community. It’s always a shock to people when someone so young and so vibrant loses their life.”

A candlelight vigil will be held in honor of Dixon’s memory Sunday at 6 p.m. on Spartanburg’s football field, Fox Carolina reported. He’ll also be honored by Wingate with a jersey brought to the school for National Signing Day ceremonies.

“I’m broken hearted that I’m not going to shake his hand in May and give him that diploma,” said Dr. Booker. “As we have two thousand students coming to school on Monday they’re going to be heartbroken.”

A GoFundMe has been created to help his family with funeral costs. Click Here to donate.

“As time is of the essence, every donation from the least to the greatest would be greatly appreciated,” a message from Dixon’s family read. “Thank you for all your prayers and support during this time of bereavement.”

Juelz Santana Marries Kimbella Ahead of 27-Month Federal Prison Sentence

Love & Hip Hop New York star Juelz Santana and his longtime girlfriend and fellow LHHNY castmate Kimbella Vanderhee are officially husband and wife.

The reality couple tied the knot Thursday (Jan. 10) in a private wedding ceremony in New York in front of celebrity friends such as Jim Jones, Cam’ron, Maino, Joe Budden, Lil Kim, Freekey Zekey, and others.

Juelz and Kimbella have been together for at least a decade and share two children together: 8-year-old son Juelz Santana James and 6-year-old daughter Bella Monroe James.

Santana and Vanderhee were engaged in November 2018 after he dropped down on one knee and proposed to her at the Apollo Theater while performing with his Dipset group members for the release of their Diplomatic Ties album.

“This my lady. She’s been rocking with me for a long, long time,” Santana said in front of the crowd before pulling out the ring. “She stuck it out with a n***a through the ups and downs. I love you, baby. You’re my queen and I want to do this in front of everybody right here.”

The couple’s wedding comes not too long after Santana was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison for a weapons charge stemming in December stemming from a March 2018 incident when he attempted to bring a loaded gun in his luggage through the Newark Liberty International Airport. The rapper evaded airport police before turning himself in a few days later.

In August, in a federal court in Newark, New Jersey, Santana pleaded guilty to weapons possession by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft.

The rapper addressed his airport debacle on an episode of LHHNY, claiming the incident was the result of him being high on Percocet, which he says he got addicted to after being prescribed painkillers following a number of dental procedures. “I found out there was a gun in my bag on the radio like everybody else. I would never knowingly bring a gun to the airport,” Santana said.

The date of the start of his prison sentence remains unknown, but we can imagine it’s coming up soon, which explains the quickie wedding. It’s also safe to assume LHHNY cameras were there to document the ceremony for an upcoming episode.

News of Juelz and Kimbella’s wedding drew reactions from fans who said the rapper only married her because he’s going to prison.

“Why do all these lhh negroes get married right before they go to jail??? When he was free and not facing jail time, why couldn’t y’all get married then?” one fan wrote on Instagram.

“That was fast! So sad he had to wait till he thought he was going to jail to propose even dough she’s happy he looks miserable like wtf did I just do ,” commented another.

Another fan commented: “And all it took was 3 kids, 15 years of shacking up, 2 domestic violence arrests, 5 missing teeth, a little bit of coke and a pending 2 year bid for him to finally marry her…”

One fan, however, congratulated the couple and blasted naysayers judging the pair’s situation: “Awww, Finally they getting marry for long long time, I am very very happy for them. Everybody commenting is miserable and ya’ll don’t know what goes on in their household. Wishing them best luck health, happiness and future.”

Lil Uzi Vert Says He’s Quitting Music: “I’m Done … I Deleted Everything”

Lil Uzi Vert shocked fans Friday (Jan. 11) when he announced via his Instagram Story that he’s “done with music.”

The 24-year-old rapper was expected to release his sophomore studio album, Eternal Atake, sometime in 2019 and had been teasing the project for a minute, sharing singles, snippets and visuals.

He said at a concert in December that he had finally completed the record and his fans were looking forward to it. The album even had a cover, rumored tracklist and was being promoted by its first single “New Patek.”

However, Uzi’s apparently not planning to release the project anymore as he claims to be quitting music cold turkey. The “XO Tour Lif3” rapper posted on his Instagram Story Friday night:

“I wanna take the time out to say I thank each and every one of my [supporters] but I’m done with music. I deleted everything. I wanna be normal … I wanna wake up in 2013.”

Lil Uzi Vert (born: Symere Woods) started rapping in the 10th grade when he was 16 years old, and said in an interview that he was a “regular kid” who “didn’t really wanna rap.”

Within a few years, after the release of his first major mixtape The Real Uzi in 2014, he signed a record deal with Atlantic Records, and the rest, as they say, was history.

Uzi saying he wants to wake up in 2013 is a reference to the time right before he made it big—before the fame and fortune, before he was a household name, etc. As he put it, he wants to be “normal.”

He also made it a point to mention that he “deleted everything,” meaning that if he were to release any new music, he would have to start all the way over.

Needless to say, his fans aren’t taking the news well at all:

Meanwhile, some people are saying he’s bluffing and doing this for publicity:

While it remains to be seen if Lil Uzi Vert is really quitting music or if he’s just going through something and venting, or if this is all a publicity stunt to promote his next album … it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next.

R. Kelly Reportedly Having Panic Attacks Over “Surviving R. Kelly” Lifetime Documentary

Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary series is reportedly taking a toll on R. Kelly, TMZ reports.

According to the gossip site, the singer-songwriter has been so stressed out about the whole situation that he’s been suffering from severe panic attacks, which started in the days leading up to the 6-episode series airing last week and has continued even afterward. TMZ reported that one attack was so serious that he had to seek treatment at a hospital.

“Surviving R. Kelly” documented in great detail a number of allegations that have plagued Kelly’s career over the years, most notably accusations that he’s holding women hostage in a “sex cult”-like operation. In the six-hour series, multiple women allege that they were subjected to mental, physical and sexual abuse by the singer, all things Kelly has so far vehemently denied.

The documentary also briefly talked about his illegal relationship with Aaliyah when she was a teenager that resulted in a short-lived marriage and allegations of a pregnancy.

For the past few weeks, celebrities have been condemning Kelly’s supposed actions as they’re presented in the docuseries, with John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Chance the Rapper, Joyner Lucas, and many others weighing in on the controversy online.

Lady Gaga—who collaborated with Kelly for the 2013 song “Do What U Want”—denounced her work with the singer on Wednesday (Jan. 9), calling Kelly’s alleged misconduct “absolutely horrifying and indefensible” and saying that she would never work with him again.

Gaga also apologized for displaying “poor judgment when I was young and not speaking out sooner.” and pledged to remove the song from iTunes and other streaming platforms.

According to TMZ, Kelly’s panic attacks are triggered by the backlash he’s been getting from celebs and the general public. “He’s shocked how the tables have turned … with most people now believing his accusers,” the gossip site reported. The singer’s condition is so bad that it’s caused him to have to receive house calls from doctors, TMZ says.

Meanwhile, police are officially investigating allegations against him in the state of Georgia, but no charges have been filed as of yet, which wouldn’t be the first time police have looked into him.

In fact, “Surviving R. Kelly” alleged that the singer had friends in the police department who would often let him know when they were coming to his house to make wellness checks, and for that reason, he was supposedly able to prepare for their arrival and make everything look like it was OK.

But now that most of the world has seemingly turned on him, Kellz is “feeling the heat,” as TMZ said, and he’s not taking it well.

This past Wednesday night, the “Ignition” singer held a birthday party for himself as a way of making it seem like he was “unfazed” by the allegations and sources close to him say that he still doesn’t believe he’s done anything wrong.

The sources said the party was simply a way for him to get out of the house and a way to prove to people that he’s not hiding. Still, the public outrage is definitely getting to him, sources said.

This Viral Photo of Unseasoned Chicken Will Give You Nightmares

It’s 2019 and (some) white people still don’t understand that food needs to be seasoned. ESPECIALLY CHICKEN.

Case in point:

28-year-old Cori Healey of Baltimore, MD posted the above photo on Twitter, and it instantly went viral … for very obvious reasons.

“The questionable cutlets belong to Cori’s boyfriend’s roommate, Steve,” BuzzFeed reported.

In case you’re unaware, THIS is what properly seasoned baked chicken is supposed to look like:

“I am DISTRAUGHT,” Healey said in a follow-up tweet. “Pray for him.”

“We were all cooking food in the kitchen and I opened the oven to check on food on the top rack and then saw the chicken,” Cori explained to BuzzFeed.

“I immediately grabbed my phone, took a picture, looked at my boyfriend and said ‘want to see a viral tweet?’ knowing Twitter would have a FIELD DAY with these unseasoned cutlets.”

And, as Cori astutely predicted, Twitter had one helluva field day:

According to BuzzFeed, Cori kinda sorta confirmed our suspicions, clarifying that “he’s half white, so people are half right there.”

She also tweeted that the media attention that she’s getting is “out of control.”

But she did enjoy the fact that a local CBS news station didn’t censor her vulgar Twitter handle.

Anyhow… Hopefully, her boyfriend’s roommate has learned his lesson and in the future will treat chicken with the respect that it deserves.

Mathew Knowles Explains How He Protected Beyoncé & Destiny’s Child From R. Kelly

Mathew Knowles played absolutely ZERO games when it came to protecting his daughter and her bandmates from alleged sexual predator R. Kelly.

In an interview with the UK newspaper Metro, Knowles revealed the steps he and his wife at the time, Tina Knowles, took to ensure that Destiny’s Child was safe around R. Kelly in the mid-1990s when the allegations of his sexual misconduct first surfaced.

Knowles—who managed Destiny’s Child—said Kelly submitted a song for the group’s debut album, but he turned it down because it wasn’t good enough.

He explained: “I was there, and my former wife Tina was there. The thing with R Kelly was, he liked to record late at night, around midnight. And what was different with his studio was that one room had a recording suite, and next door was a club, with 40 or 50 people dancing.”

The 67-year-old father of Beyoncé and Solange continued: “R Kelly was managed by Sony, by someone I won’t name, and at that time, they would almost force you to record with [their] artists. And R Kelly wasn’t cheap – it was $75,000, plus travel costs, so we’re talking $100,000 for a song. I personally rejected the song, because I didn’t think it was a good song. Not just because of [his] reputation – this was around 1998, we had just begun to hear some of those things.”

Asked if the rumors surrounding R. Kelly and his illegal relationship with Aaliyah and rumors of him preying on young girls also played a factor in him rejecting the song, Knowles said: “certainly, it was both of those things.”

In fact, Mathew said this prompted himself and Tina to shield the girls from Kelly by any means necessary. “The girls were 15, 16,” he said. “When they went to the bathroom, Tina would go with them. They did not leave our eyes.”

A source close to Knowles said: “Record labels would ask R Kelly to write songs for emerging artists as a way to help them break into the industry and he made several requests for Destiny’s Child. Mathew and Tina rejected all of them because they didn’t want him anywhere near the band which is why they are one of the few acts to debut in the 90s without an R Kelly song in its official discography.”

The group did, however, end up recording a song written by R. Kelly—the track “Stimulate Me” off the soundtrack for the 1999 movie “Life,” but Knowles said Kelly was NOT allowed in the studio when the Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson recorded it with producer Jermaine Dupri. The source added: “Mathew didn’t want it on any official Destiny’s Child’s albums so it didn’t appear.”

Additionally, Beyoncé never worked with the “Age Ain’t Nothin’ But a Number” songwriter when she became a solo act and she has “always turned him down,” a source revealed. On top of that, in an act of solidarity with his numerous victims, she also blocked any and all efforts of him making money whenever he chose to remix her songs.

Metro’s source continued: “Back in 2008 he released a remix of her single ‘If I Were a Boy.’ The plan was to have it become an official remix as they are both signed to the label but Beyoncé didn’t give it the all clear so it never happened.”

Mathew said he would elaborate further on his experience with R. Kelly in his book Destiny’s Child: The Untold Story, which will be released this summer. Knowles’ remarks come after R. Kelly has fallen under new scrutiny in the wake of the 6-episode Lifetime documentary Surviving R. Kelly.

The “Bump N’ Grind” singer-songwriter has vehemently denied allegations of sexual misconduct, which include allegedly holding women hostage in a sexual cult and sexual relations with girls as young as 14 years old.

The Grammy Award-winning artist was acquitted of child porn charges in June 2008 in Cook County, Illinois. The charges stemmed from an infamous “sex tape” that authorities said showed him engaging in graphic sexual acts (including urination) with a girl who looked to be 13 or 14 years of age.

The singer and the alleged girl in the tape have both said it was not them in the footage, however, the alleged girl’s aunt—R&B singer Sparkle—said that it was definitely her niece and Kelly in the video.

9-Year-Old Chicago Boy Who Went Missing After School Found Safe

Michael Campbell, a 9-year-old boy from the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago who was reported missing Tuesday night (Jan. 8) after he didn’t return home from school, has been found safe.

According to Chicago police, Campbell was last seen at 3 p.m. when classes ended at Harvard Elementary School, which is about a block away from his home.

Michael’s mother reported him missing that night at 8:30 p.m. and spoke with reporters, pleading for him to return home safely. “Baby, please, please, please come home,” she said.

The boy has since been found safe and was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Police said Michael stayed the night at a friend’s house and was reunited with his family Wednesday morning.

Chicago’s ABC 7 was on the scene as the child was whisked away in his father’s car.

“He said he didn’t come home last night when he went by his friend’s house because there was gunfire and he asked the kid’s mother can he stay and they told him he could stay,” said Chris Campbell, the boy’s father. “He fell asleep after they played video games.”

Police put out a picture of Michael along with a missing person’s alert and his name became a trending topic on social media. While some family members feared the worst, others were hopeful he would be found safe.

“I knew everything was going to be okay,” said Allison Campbell, Michael’s aunt. “I prayed and prayed before I got in my car last night, I prayed.”

Watch the Hilarious Trailer for “Little” Starring Marsai Martin, Regina Hall & Issa Rae

Universal Pictures has released the first official trailer for “Little,” the body-swapping comedy starring Regina Hall, Black-ish star Marsai Martin and Insecure creator Issa Rae.

The film centers around Hall’s character, Jordan Sanders—a wealthy, no-nonsense tech mogul who wakes up one morning to find out she’s trapped in the body of a 13-year-old girl, played by Martin.

Rae, who plays Jordan’s very under-appreciated assistant April, finds out at work what happened and hilarity ensues as she sets out to salvage the situation. So, think Tom Hanks’ “Big” or Jennifer Garner’s “13 Going on 30,” but in reverse.

“You went to bed grown and then you woke up…” April says before she’s cut off. “Little,” Jordan as a teen girl says. April responds: “That’s for white people because black people don’t have the time.”

“Little” was written by Tracy Oliver, directed by Tina Gordon, and produced by Will Packer (“Girls Trip” and “Night School”), along with James Lopez and “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris.

The movie is based on an idea cooked up by Martin, who is only 14 years old. It is set to hit theaters on April 12th.

Cyntoia Brown Granted Clemency After Serving 15 Years of Life Prison Sentence for Killing Man Who Bought Her for Sex When She Was 16

Cyntoia Denise Brown, the woman who was sentenced to life in prison for killing a 43-year-old man who bought her for sex when she was 16 years old, has been granted an early release and is expected to be out of jail this summer.

On Monday (Jan. 7), Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam granted clemency to 30-year-old Cyntoia Brown and ordered her early release from prison, where she has served 15 years of a 51-year sentence for the murder of 43-year-old Johnny Allen.

“This decision comes after careful consideration of what is a tragic and complex case,” Gov. Haslam said. “Cyntoia Brown committed, by her own admission, a horrific crime at the age of 16. Yet, imposing a life sentence on a juvenile that would require her to serve at least 51 years before even being eligible for parole consideration is too harsh, especially in light of the extraordinary steps Ms. Brown has taken to rebuild her life. Transformation should be accompanied by hope. So, I am commuting Ms. Brown’s sentence, subject to certain conditions.”

Brown will be eligible for release on August 7th, 2019 on time served and will remain on parole for 10 years. She will be required to participate in regular counseling sessions and to perform at least 50 hours of community service, including working with at-risk youth. She’ll also be required to get a job.

In a statement released by her lawyers, Brown thanked Gov. Haslam “for your act of mercy in giving me a second chance. I will do everything I can to justify your faith in me.” She added: “With God’s help, I am committed to live the rest of my life helping others, especially young people. My hope is to help other young girls avoid ending up where I have been.”

In August 2004, after Jonny Allen—a youth minister and real estate agent—solicited Brown for sex, she rode with him to his home, where the two engaged in conversation before eventually heading to his bedroom. As he lay naked on his bed, he was fatally shot in the head by Brown, who had endured many years of abuse as a teenage sex worker.

Following her arrest, Brown told detectives she feared for her life during the encounter and claimed self-defense in the murder. After a trial, she was found guilty and received a life sentence on murder and prostitution charges. She previously wasn’t eligible for parole until she was 69 years old.

Brown’s case drew the attention of several high profile advocates, including a U.S. congressman, several Tennessee lawmakers and a number of A-List celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, who was among many who called for Brown’s clemency.

Gov. Haslam’s long-awaited decision was handed down during his last days in office, bringing a dramatic conclusion to Brown’s plea for mercy. Haslam called Brown’s case one that “appears to me to be a proper one for the exercise of executive clemency.” He continued: “Over her more than fourteen years of incarceration, Ms. Brown has demonstrated extraordinary growth and rehabilitation.”

Brown’s lawyers applauded the governor’s decision. “This is truly a joyful moment—for Cyntoia and for all of us who have worked to help her,” read a statement from Brown’s lead attorneys, Charles Bone and J.Houston Gordon. “The governor’s decision is proof that our justice system works and it marks the beginning” of a new chapter for Cyntoia.

During her time in prison, Brown completed her GED and got a college degree from Lipscomb University. She also mentored women while working as an unpaid consultant for the juvenile justice system.

Brown’s allies say she hopes to apply her education by supporting social justice issues through her own nonprofit.

Viral Video Shows Transgender Customer Threatening GameStop Employee After Being Called “Sir”

Video footage showing a transgender person going HAM on a GameStop employee for misgendering them has gone viral online.

The video begins with the trans person hurling expletives while attempting to get a refund from the employee. The employee apparently referred to the biological male as “sir” off camera, and when a female customer tried to intervene, she called the trans person a “sir” as well.

“I don’t want credit, you’re going to give me my f***ing money back!” the customer who identifies as a woman yells.

A woman not in view of the camera who took issue with the trans person’s vulgar language says to them in a calm voice: “Excuse me, sir, there’s a young man in here, you need to watch your mouth.”

The trans person then becomes instantly aggressive, shouting: “Excuse me—it’s ma’am! IT IS MA’AM!” Keeping her calm tone, the woman responds: “I’m sorry. I can call the police if you’d like me to. You need to settle down.”

Enraged, the trans person screams at her again, this time pointing in her face: “You need to settle down and mind your business!”

The clerk then says something inaudible, but you can hear the words “both of you guys,” which makes the trans person even angrier. “Ma’am! Once again, MA’AM!” they shout.

“I said, ‘both of you’,” the young employee contends, explaining that he was saying “both of you guys” in a general sense, and not referring to anyone’s particular gender.

“No, you said sir!” the trans person screams. “Once again, it’s ma’am! Right beforehand, you f***ing said sir!”

The clerk appears to be talking to another customer at this point, and says the word “sir” again, which infuriates the already angry trans person even more than before.

“MOTHERF***ER, TAKE IT OUTSIDE! DO YOU WANNA CALL ME A SIR AGAIN?! I WILL SHOW YOU A F***ING SIR! MOTHERF***ER!” the trans person yells as the GameStop employee apologizes.

The aggressive customer then kicks down a display of products in the store and walks toward the exit door, but then turns back around.

“I need your corporate number!” the trans person yells from the back of the store, threatening to inform corporate about being “misgendered several times in the store” and demanding, “I need your corporate number now! Get it for me, now!”

After the clerks aks the transgender to stop cursing, they yell: “I’m gonna ask you for the fifth time to stop calling me a man, because quite clearly, I am not!”

The employee apologizes again: “I’m sorry for that, ma’am, I will get you that number, is that OK? I’m asking you to stop cussing.”

“I’m not cussing,” the trans person responds before grunting and heading to the exit door again. “You’re just going to keep bumping your gums and disrespecting trans people in this store, which I plan on telling the entire LGBT community. You’re going to lose money over this!”

The Daily Dot reached out to GameStop, but multiple employees stated they weren’t allowed to comment on the incident. They wouldn’t confirm the store where the incident occurred one employee did say that it happened at a store in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Tiffany Moore, the transgender person in the video who identifies as a woman, reached out to the Daily Dot to explain what wasn’t seen in the footage. She said the GameStop employee in the video misgendered her “at least five times” off camera. “I would not have reacted like that if I hadn’t been so blatantly disrespected,” Moore explained.

Moore also said that she was concerned about another customer’s threat to call the police. “Trans people don’t have great interactions with the cops,” she said.

Moore said she’s had concerns for her safety ever since the video went viral. “I’ve been holed up at my parents’ property since the 26th,” she said, referring to when the video started to become popular. “I literally have no income coming in. It’s taking my ability to take care of myself away from me, it’s taking my livelihood away from me.”

Moore said she hasn’t been able to hire an attorney, but she hopes that GameStop will treat trans people with respect in the future. “All I want is for GameStop is to include trans sensitivity training in their hiring process,” she said.

Rundown Media CEO Kiarash Behain: Meet the Man Behind Your Favorite Celebs’ Social Media Accounts & More

Have you ever wondered how celebrities have the time to be stars AND constantly update their fans on a daily basis?

Social media has played a major role in setting the tone for new and existing talent in the entertainment industry, but who are the key players in helping the elite go viral?

Meet Kiarash Behain—social media director, visionary and CEO of his company Rundown Media—who helps many influencers, big and small, make an impact online.

After graduating high school in 2002, Kiarash created a social networking website for the urban demographic by the name of Mocha City.

“I started MochaCity simply because collectively, as a people of passion and positivity, we needed a place to call home on the Internet,” Kiarash tells Gossip On This. “Friendships were established on that website… Love, romance, a community like no other…”

The concept quickly caught on and drew hundreds of thousands of subscribers who all tuned in daily to view the most current and trending topics while connecting with each other.

When Kiarash and his partners eventually decided to part ways following a disagreement, he started his own media company called Rundown Media, and its flagship entertainment brand The Rundown in 2006.

Shortly after leaving Mocha City, the website’s traffic began to decline and the company eventually became defunct, proving that he played a very integral role in the site’s success.

“It was all love,” Kiarash tells us. “God blesses us with new days to play and new playgrounds to play on. I was grateful for my contributions to a great voice on the Internet and I had to move on to the next project.”

With the Mocha City drama behind him, Kiarash put all of his focus into The Rundown, curating the most interesting and viral content for websites like Reddit, Yahoo! News, WorldStarHipHop and more.

Kiarash then leveraged his popularity online and his keen eye for viral content by quietly collaborating with entertainers and artists with worldwide influence.

The Rundown’s first viral collaboration happened in 2008 with Soulja Boy right as the young rapper was experiencing massive success with his hit single “Crank That.”

Ironically, Kiarash connected with Soulja Boy through a series of internet beef tweets on Twitter, leading the rapper wanting to fight Kiarash, who was posing as his entertainment brand alias “The Rundown” at the time.

The two later settled their differences and began to collaborate.

“There was a miscommunication and everything was settled,” Kiarash says. “Soulja is my guy and will forever be a legend in my book.”

Kiarash said when he and Soulja finally met in person, they had nothing but respect for each other.

“Because Soulja did not know what I looked like… I randomly spotted him and his people in the parking lot of a movie theatre,” Kiarash recalls. “I got out of my car, walked up to him, shook his hand and gave him my business card. He immediately recognized who I was and it was respect from there.”

Kiarash’s work with Soulja Boy eventually landed him more viral collaborations with other celebrities like Sean “Diddy” Combs, Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Akon, Quincy Brown and many others.

No stranger to online beef, Kiarash teamed up with Tyrese and The Rock to create a “fake beef” between the two that led to a boost Tyrese’s album sales. Kiarash produced a video in which The Rock talks trash about Tyrese’s Black Rose album, which had just been released.

“It’s the biggest piece of dog sh*t that I’ve ever heard,” The Rock said (jokingly) in the 45-second clip, which quickly went viral on social media.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZupRttbA-0

Kiarash was also directly involved with a viral stunt with Tyrese and comedian Michael Blackson that resulted in police being called and ended up becoming a top story on TMZ.

To this day, Rundown Media continues to represent a number of top social media influencers and internet personalities by providing them with their online content and marketing while also helping them go viral on the internet.

“I found loopholes utilizing influencer accounts and viral media,” Kiarash said about the success behind his social media techniques. “This allowed me to reach the masses while relaying the positive message each influencer stood for, converting in instant growth and impact for each unique account.”

While Kiarash’s viral marketing strategies have generated more than 4 billion impressions (and counting) worldwide collectively, his experience as a director, social media marketer and manager has earned him the accomplishments of having the #1 top Billboard album sales (Tyrese’s Black Rose album), curating two of the top 10 most viral Facebook posts in 2016 and 2017, and creating award-winning viral marketing campaigns for TV shows and Hollywood blockbusters including “Fast and the Furious.”

Petition to Ban Jacquees From Doing Music Covers Has More Than 40,000 Signatures

When you think of the internet, the first word that comes to mind is “petty.”

The week leading up to Christmas, a man from Spartanburg, South Carolina named Ricky Fields started a Change.org petition in a hilarious effort to ban Jacquees from making covers of classic R&B tunes. “As a black community, we have to figure out how we getting rid of Jacquees,” he wrote.

PREVIOUSLY: Jacquees Called Himself the Current King of R&B and the Internet Was Like “Nah, Son.”

The petition has since gone viral on social media, and within days, has racked up more than 40,000 signatures from people who wholeheartedly agree with Fields.

Some people are signing because they don’t believe Jacquees is a talented singer, while others aren’t impressed with his music covers. Some are signing for both reasons.

Among the songs Jacquees has covered in the past were Chris Brown’s version of “This Christmas,” Ella Mai’s “Trip,” Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana” and Beyoncé’s “Bow Down.”

Then, on top of all of that, he had the nerve, THE AUDACITY, to come for Keith Sweat:

“He must be stopped! He disrespected Keith Sweat, then I just heard his Dirty Diana cover. The boy has gone mad! Plus he dresses like a toddler,” wrote one supporter. “He did the NE ‘If it Isn’t Love’ choreography in his video for ‘Candy Rain’….everybody know you sposed to do the Candy Rain dance. This ni**a tripping!” said another.

Another supporter compared him to an “itch that don’t ever want to go away.” YIKES.

Folks have been going in on Jacquees for the past few weeks—ever since he took to social media earlier this month and called himself the “King of R&B” for the current generation. His assertion offended fans of R&B music and he’s been the butt of many a joke ever since.

Here we are nearly three weeks removed from the “I’m the King of R&B” fiasco, and Twitter still got jokes:

So, as you can see, the internet is NOT letting up on Jacquees anytime soon.

Man Responsible for Car Crash That Killed 4 Children in South Carolina Facing 100 Years in Prison

The man responsible for the fatal car crash in South Carolina that claimed the lives of four young children, including two of his own, was hit with a number of charges and could spend more than 100 years in prison, according to news reports.

27-year-old Arnez Yaron Jamison was driving on a country road in Travelers Rest, S.C. (near Greenville) on December 7th when he lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road and slammed into several trees.

There were a total of five people in the 2004 Pontiac van, including Jamison and four young children. Three of the four children—4-year-old Arnez Yaron Jamison Jr., 6-year-old Robbiana Evans, and 8-year-old Jamire Halley—all died at the scene of the single-vehicle crash.

The fourth child in the vehicle was severely injured and taken to the hospital, along with Jamison. The fourth child, 2-year-old Ar’mani Jamison, later died in the children’s ICU unit of Greenville Memorial Hospital after being taken off life support. The two younger two of the four children were biologically Jamison’s, although his family said he raised all four as his own.

The children’s mother, Jacqueline “Jackie” Brown told the Greenville News that her children meant the world to her. “I’m just incomplete now without them,” she said. “They were my everything — my heart, my blood, my breath, my motivation. They helped me get through everything I needed to get through.”

Jamison, who was in a relationship with Brown, was slapped with a number of charges as a result of the crash, including child endangerment, driving under suspension, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and four counts of felony DUI resulting in death. He was also hit with an additional criminal charge after marijuana was found in the vehicle—possession of one ounce or less of marijuana.

The fatal crash is not Jamison’s first run-in with the law. The Greenville News reported that in June 2015 police were called to the apartment he shared with Brown. During that incident, a person who called 911 to report the domestic disturbance said they heard Jamison yelling to Brown “Don’t make me knock you out,” the News reported.

A responding officer noticed blood on Jamison’s clothing and said he reeked of alcohol. The police report stated that Jamison had come home after drinking with friends to pick up more alcohol when Brown told him she thought he’d had enough. That’s when Jamison became angry and punched a hole in their wall, the report said.

According to the report, at one point during his arrest, Jamison tried to kick out a window of a police vehicle and later threatened some of the officers. The following month, he pleaded guilty to third-degree domestic violence and resisting arrest and was sentenced to 45 days in jail, according to county court records.

In March 2016, Jamison was involved in a hit-and-run where two vehicles were hit in different locations, the Greenville News reported. He was identified as the suspect in the case and was arrested at his home before being sentenced to 18 months probation.

The Greenville News reported that Jamison was also sentenced to 30 days in jail after being charged with public disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in May of that year. In that incident, officers were responding to a call at a Walmart where Jamison’s vehicle was parked in a fire lane.

When officers told him to step out of the vehicle, they detected a strong odor of alcohol on him. He resisted arrest, causing officers to fight with him for several minutes before he was handcuffed.

Later that same year, he was given a trespass notice from an apartment complex, and in November, the apartment manager called the police because he had violated the trespass notice.

When officers arrived, they found him sleeping in an upstairs bedroom, and while escorting him from the premises, Jamison tried to run away, forcing officers to tackle him to the ground. Jamison pleaded guilty to hindering a police officer and violating a trespass notice and was ordered to a pay a fine of more than $1,000.

At Jamison’s court hearing for the fatal car crash in December 2018, his family described him as “the sweetest, most generous boy that really screwed up.”

Carol McNeil, Jamison’s cousin who said she raised him as her own son, told the Greenville News: “I want the community to know that he’s a good kid. I understand they’re upset and mad, but he’s not a monster. He loved his kids. If he can sacrifice his own life for them, he would.”

McNeil said Jamison’s mother died when he was 11 years old and he’s struggled with depression ever since. She told the Greenville News that Jamison told her he “doesn’t want to live anymore” after losing his children. “Without his kids, there’s nothing to live for,” she said he told her.

The four children were laid to rest following two funeral services—one on Saturday, December 15th at Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina, and the other in their mother’s hometown of Jersey City, New Jersey on Wednesday, December 19th.

Terrence Howard Proposes to Ex-Wife Mira Pak With $1 Million Engagement Ring

“If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again” is a statement Terrence Howard is taking seriously … because he just proposed to his ex-wife, Mira Pak, just three years after they divorced.

The “Empire” star reportedly popped the question Sunday night (Dec. 23) in front of friends and family at Crustacean Beverly Hills. According to TMZ, Howard presented Pak with a 7-carat VVS diamond and rose gold engagement ring worth around $1 million.

The 49-year-old actor announced the engagement via Instagram and posted a picture of the massive diamond ring. He also shared a video of him making a toast at dinner, telling Pak that he loved her.

“It took me 45 years to find you, honey. But now that I have you in my 50th year, I will spend the rest of eternity at your side. And I pray that everybody finds that one that will complete them for all eternity because it means everything. I love you,” Howard told Pak.

“I love you too, baby,” Pak replied.

Jeweler Ben Baller, who designed the engagement ring, showed it off on Instagram too:

Howard and Pak share two sons, 3-year-old Qirin Love and 2-year-old Hero. The couple got married in 2013 but Pak filed for divorce just two years later in 2015 when she was pregnant with Qirin. They got back together earlier this year, and now they’re preparing to walk down the aisle for a second time.

Mind you, this isn’t the first time Terrence Howard has re-married an ex-wife. He married his first wife, Lori McCommas, in 1989. They divorced in 2003 and re-married in 2005 before divorcing for a second time in 2007. They have three children together: daughters Aubrey and Heaven and a son named Hunter. Howard also has two grandchildren through his daughter Aubrey—a granddaughter born in December 2012 and a grandson born in February 2015.

Howard was also briefly married to Michelle Ghent from 2010 to 2013. Ghent filed for divorce in February 2011 and filed for a restraining order in December of that same year, accusing Howard of being physically abusive towards her. Their divorce was finalized in 2013.
