Tyrese’s Ex-Wife Norma Gibson Granted Permission to Take Daughter to Israel

Last week, Tyrese filed court documents asking a judge to stop his ex-wife Norma Gibson from taking their 7-year-old daughter Shayla on a trip to Israel because he was afraid she was going to try and “kidnap” the child.

According to TMZ, the 36-year-old singer/actor truly believed that Norma — who is an Israeli citizen — would stay in the Middle East and keep his daughter there, far far FAR away from him.

When Tyrese couldn’t get Norma to sign a legally binding contract agreeing to bring Shayla back to the United States by a certain date, he took her to family court so they could handle it.

Now both sides can be happy, because a judge has granted Norma permission to take their daughter to Israel for two weeks, and Norma has agreed to share all of the travel details with Tyrese to ease his mind, TMZ reports.

Norma also insisted that she has absolutely no reason what-so-ever to leave Los Angeles since she has so many ties to the city, plus international law requires Norma to bring Shayla back since they have a custody agreement in place. She legally CANNOT “kidnap” the child, even if she wanted to.

Tyrese and Norma have not been on good terms ever since their bitter divorce in 2009 when Tyrese left Norma with $0.00. A little over a year ago, Tyrese called the police when Norma refused to allow him to see their daughter.

Tyrese pays his ex-wife over $6,000 in child support, plus he covers her rent, car lease and all of their daughter’s expenses.

Though the answer to that question remains unknown, that didn’t stop Christina from spilling a few details on her rumored relationship with the Young Money boss, who she referred to as her “man crush.”

“The deal is he’s my man … crush,” Christina said about Wayne in her cover story for the May 2015 issue of Latina magazine. “He and I have a very special relationship and I think I’ve always been very careful with it publicly because when you have something special it’s like everybody picks apart words. They’ll pick apart a moment in a picture and take something that’s special and trash it.”

Christina Milian and Lil Wayne have been seen out in public together on numerous occasions, and in a clip from an episode of her E! reality showed “Christina Milian Turned Up,” she tells the rapper that she loves him. But no one knows whether or not they’re really dating because neither of them have confirmed nor denied it.

Meanwhile, TMZ has grabbed a photo of the couple walking in Hollywood holding hands with their fingers locked together, which pretty much confirms what we’ve pretty much known since the ESPYs last year.

Lil Wayne and Christina Milian are pretty “well-connected” too — Lil Wayne has a son with singer Nivea, who has kids with and used to be married to singer/songwriter The Dream, who shares a 5-year-old daughter with Milian from their marriage, which ended after The Dream cheated on Milian while she was pregnant.

Ray J is Quitting “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” to Save His Relationship with Princess Love

Ray J is chucking the deuces on “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” and producers are going crazy!

Sources tell TMZ that Ray J feels as if the show has brought on a lot of problems between him and his girlfriend Princess Love, and the only way to repair his relationship is by not appearing on the next season.

Ray even tried to shoot a few “positive and drama-free” scenes, but producers weren’t going for it.

Producers plan on holding a meeting Wednesday to make one more attempt at getting Ray to change his mind, but things aren’t looking too good. Ray J wants OUT of the show.

If you can recall, Princess Love was arrested last month for beating Ray J up at a hotel room in New Orleans. Ray was beaten so badly he suffered several cracked ribs, a busted lip, and a torn ACL.

So it’s quite understandable why he wants nothing to do with the show. The brother is tired of getting his azz kicked! Reality TV brings out the craziness in some people, and maybe Ray feels like LHHH is bringing out Princess’ craziness.

Rich Homie Quan Allegedly Punched a Bouncer in the Face, Then Fled on a Speedboat

Some people do not take rejection well, and apparently, Rich Homie Quan is one of those people.

After being denied VIP entrance in LIV nightclub in Miami early Monday morning (Mar 23), the rapper felt “some type of way” and allegedly punched a bouncer in the face before fleeing on a speeboat.

Quan was reportedly told that the club was full and he had to wait in line like everybody else, and that’s when the sh*t hit the fan.

The security guard says Quan then shouted, “I’m Rich Homie Quan and I’m a rich millionaire, bitch … I’m coming through these doors. I’m with Flo Rida!”

According to TMZ, the security guard held his ground and refused to let Quan through the backdoor, which eventually led to Rich Homie socking him twice in the face, breaking his nose and bloodying his lip. A member of Quan’s crew also punched the guard in the back of the head.

Quan and his crew then ran across the street and boarded a speedboat as their getaway transportation, which sounds like a scene straight out of a James Bond movie.

Police are looking for Rich Homie and want to talk to him about a possible battery charge, WSVN reports.

J. Cole Goes Back to the Days of Slavery in “G.O.M.D” Video

J. Cole takes on the role of a rebellious house slave in his new music video for his latest single “G.O.M.D.”

In the video, Cole fails to get respect from the field slaves on the plantation until he’s able to steal the master’s keys and acquire his collection of guns.

Together, Cole and the other slaves take over and tie up the slave masters before celebrating their newfound freedom dancing around a bonfire.

Cole also wins the heart of the master’s daughter, who ends up joining him and the rest of the slaves by the end of the video.

“G.O.M.D.” is one of the signature tracks from Cole’s latest album ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive,’ released last year.

Sex, Dead Children, Inappropriate Lyrics and Other FCC Super Bowl Complaints

Every year after the Super Bowl airs, dozens (sometimes hundreds) of complaints from viewers who can’t handle the “madness” of the Halftime show or some of the “inappropriate” commercials that air in between plays during the game are sent to the FCC for one reason or another.

This year, there were 34 complaints about the Super Bowl, and not surprisingly, none of the complaints had anything to do with the actual game itself.

The complaints ranged from disgust toward Katy Perry’s halftime show (featuring Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz) to offense at commercials that were deemed “indecent” or “hyper-sexual.” And of course, folks were downright angry over that infamous Nationwide “dead kid” ad.

We don’t know what’s worse (or funnier), the puritanical nature of such grievances, or the fact that most of these people seem to have no idea what grammar, spelling and/or punctuation are.

This viewer is angry about “a person by the name of Missy Elliott” who used profane lyrics in her performance. And they provided a couple “NSFW” links from lyrics sites to prove it.

During halftime of Sunday’s SuperBowl on NBC, a person by the name of Missy Elliott repeatedly yelled the term “give me some new sh*t.” This occurred on February first at approximately 8:30 PM Eastern Time. A cursory glance of her lyrics confirmed what I thought I heard. Later in the same performance, she proceeded to yell the word “n****r.” The Super Bowl historically attracts a large number of young people and children. NBC over-stepped the bounds of decency as allowed with the United States of America. A later song by her featured Ms Elliott yelling about “big c*ck,” “p*ssy,” and “shaving my chocha…Has America lost all sence of decency?

This viewer doesn’t think girls should kiss girls and actually like it:

Show obviously directed at children contained lyrics that can only be called disgusting by anyone of normal sensibilities. A massive fine is in order to prevent viewing public from ever seeing a young female singing on a family veiwing venue “I kissed a girl and I liked it”. Action must be taken to correct this in the future! DO SO

This viewer is mad about having to punish their daughters for using the “work Bitch.” Whatever that means.

The work Bitch being used during a family broadcast like the superowl is profane and should not be allowed. After the commercial my 8 and 10 year old daughters both repeated the word and had to be punished which really took away from our superbowl experience.

This viewer just absolutely cannot believe how companies are allowed to display “soft porn” on TV:

The Victoria Secret Superbowl ad was completely inappropriate and indecent given the large number of children watching the game. Girls sprawled in chairs with their legs spread open and breasts bulging out of their bras is absolutely inappropriate to hold up in front of grade school children and families. i cannot believe how companies are allowed to display soft pornography on public television. I would like a response to this complaint and how i might pursue it further.

And these people are all types of torn up over that Nationwide dead kid ad, which, I admit, was pretty awful:

The nationwide Superbowl commercial had inappropriate content related to life and death for family viewing. Their commercial cause my niece to get upset and ask questions related to why did the child in the commercial die. There was no warning that sensitive content for children was forthcoming. My sister had to calm the child down on what would be an otherwise fun filled family viewing experience with the other advertisers. This advertisement never should have been allowed to be shown without advance notice given to parents. The company sold their soul to sell insurance on the guise of protecting kids and stole their innocence.

I, and millions of other parents who have lost children, have been deeply offended by Nationwide’s SuperBowl commercial. We are fragile, and being blindsided during what should be a pleasant event is just wrong. I have PTSD, and this has triggered a long night of nightmares and terrors!

Lil Wayne Calls Out Drake for Having Sex With His Girlfriend in Proposed Tell-All Book

Drake is the true definition of a “f*ckboy,” which the Urban Dictionary defines as “a manipulating d*ck who does whatever it takes to benefit him, regardless of who he screws over.”

Sounds a lot like Drake, doesn’t it?

In the past, Drake has been known to be the sneaky rap guy who will wine and dine your girl all across the country (maybe the world too). But nothing tops what he once did to his boss Lil Wayne.

One of the number 1 rules when it comes to guy code is to never, ever, EVER sleep with your homie’s girl … even if she throws it at you.

Drake obviously gives no damns about the phrase “bros before hoes” because in a new tell-all book being shopped around to various publishing companies, Lil Wayne reveals the time he found out Drake slept with his girlfriend while he was locked up for eight months in Rikers Island in 2010 on that 2007 gun charge.

Weezy says that he was furious when he found out the news, and thank God he was arrested at the time, because it prevented him from doing something he would have later regretted.

“This is the type of shit that a man never wants to find out when he’s locked up. Or, maybe so, cause only God knows what I would have done if I wasn’t locked up right now,” Wayne wrote, according to TMZ. “Finding out that she fucked Drake was the absolute worst thing I could’ve ever found out. As a man, honestly, that shit hurt … and not because it was Drake, it could have been any man. It would’ve hurt the same.”

In the tell-all book, Wayne talks about how Drake admitted to having sex with his girlfriend during a visit at Rikers Island, and even advised Wayne to leave her.

“Yeah, it’s true. Don’t f*ck with her like that cause I did f*ck her,” Drake allegedly told Wayne.

Weezy says he was so depressed by the news Drizzy had dropped on him, he didn’t come out of his cell for days.

When Wayne later confronted his girlfriend, she copped to having sex with Drake, but said it was the day before she met him … because OF COURSE SHE WOULD SAY THAT.

If we were in Wayne’s position though, we would have whooped Drake’s azz soon as we touched down from prison. You give a man a career and then he stabs you in the back by screwing your lady?

Chris Brown said “these hoes ain’t loyal,” but maybe he should have said “these homies ain’t loyal.”

A$AP Yams Died from Accidental Drug Overdose, Chief Medical Examiner Rules

26-year-old A$AP mob founder A$AP Yams’ death has been ruled accidental.

Yams (real name: Steven Rodriguez) passed away back in January, but the cause of his death was unknown at the time, though most people assumed it was drug-related since Rodriguez had dealt with drug issues in the past.

Fueling the rumors even further was Yams’ last tweet, in which he referenced codeine:

During the time of Yams’ death, A$AP Rocky released a statement denying claims that his friend overdosed on drugs.

“People were saying that Yams overdosed on drugs — he didn’t overdose on any drugs. I feel like people feel that way because that’s all he’s in pictures doing. When you see A$AP Yams you see Hennessey or purple drink, you see some type of controlled substance or illegal narcotic.”

However, according to the New York City Chief Medical Examiner, Yams did, in fact, die due to acute mixed drugs intoxication. Or in other words, “accidental drug overdose.”

A mixture of opiates (which is found in Codeine) and benzodiazepine (found in the drug Xanax) were found in his body, according to NY Times editor Jon Caramanica.

Guy Drunk Off Patrón Shows Up at McDonald’s & Picks Fight With Employee Over A Girl: “You Love A Bitch That Will Never Stop Loving Me!”

When the guy who hates your guts the most shows up at your job drunk as hell and everything goes wrong…

This recently happened to an employee at McDonald’s and it was all captured on camera.

The drunk guy seemed to be mad over a woman that the employee is currently with. A woman who “will never stop loving [him],” apparently.

“You love a bitch that will never stop loving me!” the clearly inebriated man, with a half-drunk bottle of Patrón tequila in his hand, shouts at the McDonald’s employee before eventually hopping over the counter (TWICE!) and disrupting other customers who are just trying to order some (not so) “FAST” food.

At one point, Patrón man takes his shirt off and hilariously humps the counter. Police eventually show up and escort him out. Just another day at Mickey D’s.

Raven-Symone Defends Univision Host Who Compared Michelle Obama to “Planet of the Apes”

Raven-Symone’s views on racial issues makes us wonder if she even has a brain at all.

The “Empire” actress appeared on “The View” Monday as a co-host and gave her opinion on Univision host Rodner Figueroa’s recent firing.

Figueroa was fired last week after he said on air that first lady Michelle Obama “looks like she’s from the cast of Planet of the Apes.”

While “View” co-host Rosie Perez found Figueroa’s comments to be downright disrespectful, Raven was 100% in his defense.

“That’s disrespect,” Perez said. “I would like to tell you that it is racist, period. This is a problem in the Latin community, that we do not talk about that. We do not address, and it is real and it was revealed by this man’s statement. And you do not disrespect the First Lady of our country.”

Raven, however, doesn’t think Figueroa is racist and she said she believes that some people look like animals. She even compared herself to “a bird.”

“Was he saying it racist-like? Because he said that he voted for her later and I don’t think he was saying it racist,” Raven said. “Michelle, don’t fire me for this right now, but some people look like animals. Is that true?

She added, “I look like a bird. Can I be mad if somebody calls me Tucan Sam?”

This isn’t Raven’s first time giving her distorted opinion on social/racial matters. The 29-year-old actress caught hell last year after she said during an interview with Oprah Winfrey that she doesn’t want to be labeled as “gay” or “African American.”

Kendall Jenner Loves Bruce “Whether He’s A Man Or A Woman” (UPDATED)

Kendall Jenner apparently has nothing but “unconditional” love for her father Bruce Jenner, despite the fact that he now wants to become her second mother.

While most of Bruce Jenner’s offspring haven’t said much of anything about his decision to transition from male to female, Kendall — the former Olympic athlete’s oldest daughter with Kris Jenner (he has an older daughter named Casey from his first marriage) — broke her silence backstage during Comedy Central’s roast of Justin Bieber over the weekend.

This is what she told Us Weekly, according to Us Weekly:

“I love my dad. He’s always been there for me and my sisters. He’s a wonderful man. And just because he’s changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn’t make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he’s a man or a woman.”

Several reports have suggested that Bruce’s six children and four stepchildren have supported him “unconditionally” throughout his transition, but Kendall is apparently the first one to address the rumors head on.

Bruce reportedly revealed the “big” news about his transformation to his youngest daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, as well as his step-daughters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, in the upcoming 13th episode of the latest season of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

Sources said the 64-year-old Olympic champ was “a little emotional” during the conversation, which took place on January 19th, the same day this photo was posted on Instagram:

“It wasn’t a jaw-dropping conversation,” an insider told Us Weekly. “He literally started the conversation with, ‘Hey guys, I’m becoming a woman. But I’m sure you probably already figured that out.'”

Bruce also reportedly asked his daughters to stop calling him Bruce and use a name he’s chosen, and he also told them if anyone asks about his transition, they’re supposed to tell them he’s “in a very good and happy place.”

Bruce and Kris Jenner finalized their divorce last December, but he still appears in the 10th season of “KUWTK,” which premiered Sunday (Mar 15) on E!

In addition to a docuseries for E!, Bruce will also record a sit-down interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer, which is set to air just before summer.

UPDATE: Kendall Jenner tweeted that she was misquoted in her interview with Us Weekly.

Us Weekly has since removed the article from their website and issued this retraction statement:

On Wednesday, March 18, Us Weekly published on UsMagazine.com an interview with model and reality star Kendall Jenner entitled “Kendall Jenner Breaks Silence on Bruce Jenner’s Transition: ‘I Will Always Love My Dad.'” The interview was allegedly conducted by an independent freelance journalist at the Saturday, March 14, taping of Comedy Central’s roast of Justin Bieber in Los Angeles.

When Ms. Jenner denied, via Twitter, that the interview took place, Us Weekly immediately reached out to the freelance reporter. He stood by the interview, and continues to maintain that the quotes are accurate. However, after attempting to reconfirm his account, editors of Us have concerns about the veracity of this interview and the circumstances under which it was obtained.

We would like to retract the story entirely and have removed it from our website. We sincerely apologize to Ms. Jenner and her family.

Lil Wayne’s Daughter Reginae Calls Out Young Thug Over “Carter 6” Album Title

You know you’ve stepped out of line when the daughter of one of the biggest rappers in the game comes for you.

As we previously reported, Young Thug revealed to the world yesterday that his upcoming debut album will be called “Carter 6,” and while many found Thug’s announcement distasteful and disrespectful to Wayne’s Carter series, one person in particular took offense to Thug calling his album “Carter 6,” and that’s Weezy’s 16-year-old daughter Reginae Carter.

Reginae sent out a number of tweets going in on Thug and even told the Rich Gang rapper he will never be on her father’s level.

The “My Super Sweet Sixteen” star also responded to those who had something to say about her taking up for her daddy, and it’s clear she doesn’t give a damn about what anyone thinks.

Kendrick Lamar’s New Album Broke Drake’s Record for Most Spotify Streams in a Single Day

Sorry Drake. If you’re reading this, it’s too late. Kendrick Lamar beat your Spotify record.

In response to his new album “To Pimp A Butterfly” leaking, Kendrick Lamar released the project a week early on Spotify and iTunes Sunday night (Mar 15).

The album has been sitting at the top of iTunes album charge ever since, but apparently, millions of Spotify users have been taking it in as well.

The popular digital streaming service announced Tuesday that Lamar’s “Butterfly” was streamed almost 10 million times on its first day out, which a spokesman described as “a new global record for the most streams in a single day worldwide.”

The record was previously held by Lamar’s rap rival Drake, whose surprise mixtape “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” was streamed 6.8 million times in its first day of availability back in February.

Kendrick Lamar warned Drake (and several other new rappers) about something like this happening almost two years ago:

“I’m usually homeboys with the same n*ggas I’m rhyming with / But this is hip-hop and them n*ggas should know what time it is / And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale / Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake / Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller / I got love for y’all but I’m tryna murder you n*ggas / Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n*ggas / They don’t wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you n*ggas / What is competition? Jimmy Kimmel’s D*ck Hole Needed Surgery … Twice

Guys, did you know that your d*ck hole can kind of just … close up on its own? If so, OMG, how did you find out? Did it happen to you? Did it happen to a friend? Did it happen to a friend of a friend?

Well, this happened to Jimmy Kimmel. Twice. TWICE!!!

Among the many things Jimmy Kimmel revealed the other day during his panel at SXSW (he has narcolepsy, the idea for “mean tweets” came from his wife, his mom likes to play dead, etc…), the TV host shared something that is sure to make any human being cringe, regardless of what they have in between their legs.

He said while working at the radio station KROQ, he went through a disturbing medical issue in which his pee hole just closed up for no reason, which sounds painful, but what happened next sounds even WORSE.

“It just kind of closed up on it’s own,” Kimmel later explained to E!’s Marc Malkin. “I don’t know why it happened. I still don’t know why.

“The guy said, ‘Your urethra’s closing up and you need it operated on,’ and they did. And then they said, ‘Yeah, we didn’t get it, it didn’t quite work. We need to do it again.’ And they did it again.”

Kimmel added, “It’s a horrible process by the way –a horrible horrible process.”

Ouch! Poor guy. Having to go through something like that once is bad enough, but TWICE?!?

Kanye West Says Racism Is “Dated,” “Silly” and “Stupid”

According to Kanye West, the concept of racism is “dated,” “silly” and “stupid.”

The rapper — who is known for speaking publicly about classism and, ironically, racism — recently sat down with Clique TV to discuss why he really doesn’t like using the word “racism.”

“Racism is a dated concept,” West said. “It’s like a silly concept that people try to touch on to either … to separate, to alienate, to pinpoint anything. It’s stupid. The real true freedom isn’t in the words,” he added. “The real true freedom is in the opportunity.”

Kanye continued, “It’s like a bouncing ball in a room with two cats, or something, when you don’t feel like playing with a cat. Let them literally fight over the bouncing ball. And the bouncing ball has nothing, no purpose, anything other than that: It bounces. That’s racism. It’s not an actual thing that even means anything.”

Young Thug Really Is Naming His First Album “Carter 6”

Is Birdman trying to get back at Lil Wayne by letting Young Thug drop an album called “Carter 6” before WAyne even gets to release “Carter 5?”

Yesterday, Young Thug took to Instagram to announce that his upcoming debut album will be called “Carter 6” and will be released soon.

Thug — who has openly talked about his admiration for Wayne several times in the past — also fired shots at the Young Money head honcho, and it appears Birdman is behind it all.

Back in September of last year, Thug told MTV News he would continue Wayne’s legacy by continuing to release “Carter” albums if Weezy himself decided not to do so.

“Carter VI to X,” he said. “He did I to V, I’m gonna do six to 10.”

We guess Thug’s keeping his word … but dissing Wayne isn’t going to get Thugga Thugga anywhere.

Dollar (he claims this is his real name, despite reports that he was born Michael Smith, which he says is an “urban legend.”) already owns a private jet, which he “the ministry” purchased back in 1999 but it’s old and run-down now, so he “the ministry” wants NEEDS a new one so that God’s work can continue to be done safely.

Dollar — who preaches “prosperity theology,” convincing people that giving 10% of their income to his church will eventually increase their own material wealth — pleaded his case via his own fundraising website:

“The ministry’s current airplane was built in 1984, purchased by the ministry in 1999 and has since logged four million miles. Recently on an overseas trip to a global conference, one of the engines failed. By the grace of God, the expert pilot, who’s flown with Creflo for almost 20 years, landed the plane safely without injury or harm to any passengers.

“Due to this recent incident coupled with the 31 years the airplane has been in service, we believe it is time to replace this aircraft so that our Pastors and staff can continue to safely and swiftly share the Good News of the Gospel worldwide. Believe it or not, there are still millions of people on this planet who have never heard of Jesus Christ and know nothing of His greatness. Our hearts desire to see precious lives changed and snatched out of darkness and thrust into His marvelous light! We need your help to continue reaching a lost and dying world for the Lord Jesus Christ.

“We are asking members, partners, and supporters of this ministry to assist in the undertaking of an initiative called Project G650. The mission of Project G650 is to acquire a Gulfstream G650 airplane so that Pastors Creflo and Taffi and World Changers Church International can continue to blanket the globe with the Gospel of grace. We are believing for 200,000 people to give contributions of 300 US dollars or more to turn this dream into a reality—and allow us to retire the aircraft that served us well for many years.”

Jesus doesn’t fly commercial, and Creflo Dollar obviously think he should have to either.

The fundraising project known as “Project G650” — named after the $60 million Gulfstream G650 airplane Creflo wants to purchase — has since been deleted, but supporters BELIEVERS can still donate money through World Changers Church International’s donations page.

Other than the aging private jet, Dollar and his wife Taffi Dollar are the proud owners of two Rolls Royce’s and several multi-million dollar homes. (They sold an NYC apartment for nearly $4 million in 2012.)

Dollar was arrested in 2012 for beating his then-fifteen year old daughter. He was charged with battery and cruelty to children, but he denied the claim and the charges were eventually dropped.

Kanye West Fans Bid Over $60K on eBay for Bag of Air from Yeezus Concert?

How much money would you spend on a bag of air from the concert of your favorite rapper? Is $60,000+ too far out of your budget?

An eBay auction purporting to sell a plastic Ziploc bag filled with air from a Kanye West concert went viral on the Internet earlier this month after bids reached over $60K.

According to Daily Mail:

The bizarre memento, which has now been removed from the auction site, comes from an unspecified concert and was first listed last Sunday for $5.00. However, the price continued to climb as more than 90 people bid on the “Kanye West Yeezus Tour Air.”

It’s unclear as to what is actually so special about the bagged air, which was listed as coming from Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. The seller’s only description read: ‘Held bag open and sealed air in.’

“Air From Kanye Show” was written in black on the plastic baggie.

Now, before you give up on humanity altogether, we should let it be known that the whole thing was a joke. Complex was able to get in touch the person responsible for that expensive bag of air.

We had to find out the story behind it, so we hit up @thugtear, a.k.a. G. Hassan, to get the backstory. Last year, one of his friends missed the Yeezus show in Toronto.

“Basically, every time we talk about Kanye I bring up the fact that she missed out on her chance to meet God,” he said over email. “Last month I decided to message her and tell her I found some tour merch and that I’d be willing to sell to her for a decent price (please don’t judge me). I sent her a picture of bag of air, and after a couple laughs I realized the shit was pretty funny so I tweeted it.”

Some people found it funny, and others thought he was deadass serious. The photo ended up on Tumblr (“Dude did like 60k. I’m still very salty,” he said) and, long story short, it went viral. “Part of me felt sadly accomplished,” Hassan said over email.

“Fast forward to last week, I guess someone posted it on eBay and people started bidding wild amounts. Everyone on my Facebook was re-posting it. My brother called me because he recognized the picture and my laptop in the background. Kids at my university were wildin’. Even Kim K decided to comment…nothing was the same after that. The internet kinda broke.”

We asked him to clarify his thoughts on the last month or so. “I don’t really aspire to be some sort of Internet troll,” he said. “I tweet to try and help balance out the time I spend studying the unnecessary shit my program requires me to. When I tweeted it, I didn’t really think it was gonna blow up, but I guess people actually believed I was selling air.

“It’s kinda like the whole Paul McCartney situation…when people were tweeting about him being a new artist and White America fell apart. The only thing that bothers me is the thought of people using this funny joke to vilify Kanye. Dude deals with enough shit already.”

Hassan found some insults funny. (“One dude even said that my bag of air was an example of excessive idolatry and that the return of Jesus Christ was imminent,” he said.) But the one thing he’s taking away from everything is that since Kim tweeted it, it probably made Kanye laugh.

“Other than that, my existence now hinges on whether or not Kanye raps about this,” he said.

Sorry, Parents: Disney Confirms “Frozen 2” Is Really Happening

Sorry, parents and guardians of small human beings worldwide … but love it or loathe it, Disney’s “Frozen” is here to stay.

The multinational mass media corporation known as The Walt Disney Company confirmed Thursday (Mar 12) at their Annual Meeting of Shareholders that a sequel to one of the biggest and most successful movies in their catalogue is in the works.

Beyond the return of director Chris Buck, director and writer Jennifer Lee and producer Peter Del Vecho, there isn’t much information available on “Frozen 2,” other than the fact that it’s really happening.

“We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,” John Lasseter, Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios’ Chief Creative Officer, said in a statement. “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”

Kristen Bell (who voiced Anna) hinted at her return to the movie with the following tweet:

It isn’t known whether Idina Menzel (the voice of Queen Elsa) will return, but she did confirm that the sequel was “in the works” last November in an interview with The Telegraph.

“Frozen” earned $1.27 billion globally and won two Oscars — Best Animated Film and Best Song for “Let It Go.”

“Frozen Fever,” a short film featuring the cast of “Frozen,” was the first screen reunion for the cast since the original film dominated box offices in 2013, and “Frozen 2” will be the first full-length reunion.

Production details as well as an expected release year have yet to be revealed, but based on the last film’s timeline (it was green-lighted in 2011 and released in 2013), we should expect the movie to be in theaters by 2017.
