Sutherland Springs, Texas Church Shooting: Fast Facts to Know

More than 20 people are dead and dozens more have been injured following a mass shooting at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas Sunday morning (Nov. 5). Initial reports described the shooter as a man in full combat gear and dressed in all black who walked into the small country church and opened fire on dozens of parishioners.

According to police, the gunman—reportedly identified as 26-year-old Devin Kelley—left the scene in a vehicle and is now dead after a brief pursuit. It’s not clear whether he killed himself or was killed by police, but officials say that he acted alone and there were no other active shooters.

Here’s what you need to know about the Sutherland Springs church shooting:

A man in “full gear” barged into The First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs and began shooting, according to reports.

According to initial reports from the scene, a male suspect barged through the doors of The First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs at around 11:15 a.m. and opened fire on dozens of parishioners, killing at least 26 and injuring around 30 others.

“A man in full gear came into the church and unloaded several rounds, and then took off in a vehicle,” a KSAT-TV reporter said on Facebook Live.

A woman who said she works station across the street from the church told ABC News she heard rapid gunfire around 11:15 a.m. and congregants fled the church and ran to the station for cover.

As seen on their official YouTube channel, the church shares videos of its Sunday morning services every week on YouTube, which means that the shooting was likely captured on video, although this has yet to be confirmed.

If today’s service was recorded, it’s highly likely that the FBI (who is currently at the scene of the shooting) has obtained the footage and will be reviewing it as a part of their investigation.

The current death toll from the shooting is 26, excluding the gunman.

The shooter may have reloaded multiple times and was killed after a brief chase with a local resident.

KSAT-TV reporter Max Massey wrote on Twitter that “neighbors say they heard shooter may have reloaded multiple times, around 50 people usually at service.” He also reported that at least six helicopters were called in to transport victims to nearby hospitals.

A woman wrote on Facebook that she saw the shooter flee the scene in his vehicle before crashing it not too far from her daughter’s house in a neighboring county. She said the man then ran on foot and was pursued on foot by someone who she believed was a police officer.

Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Robert Murphy confirmed the gunman was killed after the brief foot chase into Guadalupe County. However, the man chasing the gunman was NOT a police officer, but a local resident.

A rep for the Texas Department of Public Safety described in a press conference that the shooter was dressed in all black tactical gear when he walked into the church and used an AR assault-style rifle in the shooting. As the man attempted to flee the scene, a local resident shot at him with his own rifle and followed the gunman in his own vehicle.

The gunman was later found shot dead near the Guadalupe County line, where police say they found more firearms in his car.

It’s unclear if the shooter killed himself or was taken down by the resident. The suspect, whose name was released as Devin Kelley, is dead and there is no longer an active shooter threat, police said. FBI is now on the scene and is currently investigating.

The pastor’s teen daughter was killed and, according to witnesses, other young children and a pregnant woman were among the victims, whose ages range from 5 to 72.

Pastor Frank Pomeroy oversees the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs. His wife, Sherri, said that her husband was out of town at the time, but their 14-year-old daughter, Anabelle Renee Pomeroy, was inside and killed in the shooting. Pomeroy described Annabelle, his youngest daughter, to ABC News as “one very beautiful special child.”

Pomeroy said he was in Oklahoma Sunday morning, a rare weekend that he wasn’t at the church. He added that the victims in the shooting were all close friends of his.

Early reports indicated that a number of small children were among the victims. According to KEN5, “A witness at the scene reported a 2-year-old was also shot,” though the child’s condition wasn’t immediately clear.

A 6-year-old boy named Rylan was also reportedly shot multiple times at the church and is now in surgery, according to his uncle who spoke to CBS News. According to The New York Times, a woman who is 8 months pregnant was also among the victims, whose ages range from 5 to 72.

Sutherland Springs is a rural community with a population of about 400-600 people.

Sutherland Springs is a small community about 40 miles southeast of San Antonio. According to recent population statistics, about 400-600 people live in the town, which would mean that around 6-7% of the population lost their lives in the shooting.

Some residents feared that the gunman was someone they knew because their community is so small, but Texas Congressman Vicente Gonzalez said: “apparently the shooter was not from the area, he was from outside of that area.”

Making the tragedy even worse, there aren’t any medical facilities in Sutherland Springs, and the closest hospital is at least 30 miles away. Multiple helicopters were used to transport victims.

Some local news reports indicated that the church may have lost at least half of its congregation, as only about 40-50 people typically attend Sunday morning church services. Because the community is so small, numbering only in the low hundreds, it’s highly likely that almost everyone in Sutherland Springs knows someone who was either killed or injured.

“My heart is broken,” Wilson County Commissioner Albert Gamez told CNN. “We never think where it can happen, and it does happen. It doesn’t matter where you’re at. In a small community, real quiet and everything, and look at this, what can happen.” One woman told CNN the church was “your quintessential country church” in small-town America.

Tamar Braxton and Vincent Herbert’s divorce is already getting messy and it may not even because of the two of them. Vince is calling out his mother-in-law for insinuating he’s an abusive husband.

Speaking to a TMZ reporter on Friday, Evelyn Braxton advised Vince to “keep his hands off of my child… before he hurts her or kills her.” Evelyn was very clear that she fears for her daughter’s life because of Vince.

TMZ reports that Vince was “stunned” by Evelyn’s comments. From TMZ:

A source close to Vincent tells TMZ … he has no idea why Evelyn Braxton told us she’s fearful his impending divorce from Tamar could get deadly because he’s no abuser — he loves Tamar and would never hurt her.

The source adds that Vince worries that such accusations will negatively affect his 4-year-old son with Tamar. While Evelyn is squarely in her daughter’s corner, Vince wants no issues with his mother-in-law. Instead, he’s going to “pray for her,” the source tells TMZ.

We should note that Tamar and Vince were involved in a domestic dispute last year.

Tamar filed for divorce last week, but Vince says he wants to fight for his marriage. He wants to go to marital counseling before they officially call it quits and really believes he can win Tamar back.

Evelyn Braxton Fears for Tamar’s Life Amid Divorce: “I Don’t Want [Vince] to Kill My Child!”

Wow! The issues between Tamar Braxton and Vincent Herbert must be much worse than we could have imagined. Tamar’s mother says she fears for her daughter’s life and wants Vince to stay away from her before he kills her.

TMZ caught up with Evelyn Braxton at LAX on Friday (Nov. 1) and the Braxton family matriarch was extremely candid about her daughter’s divorce. She sternly warned Vince to:

“Keep his hands off of my child! Stop, before he hurts her or kills her. I love Vince, but I don’t want him to kill my child. It’s as simple as that. Stop!”

It was reported earlier today that Vince wants to save his marriage and is willing to try marital counseling. Again, fearing for Tamar’s life, Evelyn agreed that Vince needs to seek professional help.

“I think that if a person really means what they’re doing then they’ll go and get help. I think he needs to go and get counseling before someone gets killed.”

The picture that Evelyn paints is incredibly troubling. Tamar and Vince were involved in a domestic dispute last year in which Vince reportedly bit his wife’s finger, causing her to need medical attention. Police were called to the scene, but no charges were filed as Vince had already left the premises.

It was also reported that the August 2016 incident was not the first time the couple had gotten physical with each other.

After nearly nine years of marriage, Tamar filed for divorce last week and has already moved out of the home they share. The couple has a 4-year-old son together. Let’s hope that this divorce remains safe and does not get messy.

Vince Herbert Refuses to Divorce Tamar Braxton Because He Thinks They Can Work It Out

Vincent Herbert is not ready to give up on his marriage. Though Tamar Braxton has filed for divorce, sources say Vince believes it will never be finalized.

TMZ reports that Vince refuses to accept his marriage is over. He wants to give counseling a try and even refuses to discuss custody arrangements for their 4-year-old son, Logan, because he truly believes he can win Tamar back.

We’re told Vince is willing to do everything in his power to change her mind, including counseling to discussing their marriage and other issues stemming from her firing from “The Real.”

Vince has been telling friends he doesn’t want to discuss custody arrangements for their son — as she requested — because he’s confident things will work out.

Tamar unexpectedly filed for divorce last week, after she previously announced she was taking a break from music to “save her marriage.” The couple’s marriage has seemingly been unstable for a little over a year due to domestic violence incidents and infidelity rumors.

It was also reported that Tamar’s abrupt firing from The Real caused “irreparable fracture” to their relationship.

Tamar and Vince have been married for nearly nine years. She’s already moved out of the home and will reportedly fight for full custody of their only child together.

Tyrese Won’t Face Charges for Alleged Child Abuse, Custody Battle With Ex-Wife Still Ongoing

We all saw Tyrese break down earlier this week. Though he’s still fighting for custody of his daughter, there’s a little weight off his shoulders. Child services has closed its child abuse investigation involving the actor.

The Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services has ended its investigation after Tyrese’s ex-wife claimed he beat their 10-year-old daughter so badly that she was unable to sit. LADCFS was only following protocol, but has decided not to file any criminal charges in the matter.

Norma Gibson stated in court documents that Tyrese “pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other.”

She claims he hit the child 12-16 times and it was painful for her to sit afterward. Norma was granted a temporary restraining order and Tyrese was ordered stay away from her and their daughter.

Despite DCFS closing its investigation, the custody battle remains ongoing. For nearly two weeks, Tyrese has been fighting for the right to see his daughter, Shayla. Norma hopes to make the restraining order permanent and wants full custody of Shayla.

Chrisette Michele Apologizes for Performing at Trump’s Inauguration After Experiencing Continued Backlash: “I Regret Everything”

Chrisette Michele is finally realizing that her Basquiat skirt was not enough to bridge together a divided nation as she had hoped. After months of professional setbacks and personal hardships, the singer says she regrets performing at Donald Trump’s Inaugural Ball.

Michele appeared on The Breakfast Club on Thursday (Nov. 2) for a 30-minute interview and admitted that ignoring everybody’s advice and agreeing to perform at 45’s inauguration was a “bad choice.”

“I regret everything that happened. I think that was a bad choice,” she told the hosts.

“A lot of times when you have a message of hope, a lot of times when you have a message of healing you think – maybe it’s a self-righteous thing or maybe it’s a mistake to feel that way – but you think ‘Man, if I just tell people everything will be okay, they’ll hear me,’… [But] I was wrong and I offended a lot of people.”

Michele says she faced so much backlash from the black community and negativity on social media that it led to depression, anxiety, and even suicidal thoughts. She also suffered a miscarriage, which she believes was caused by the stress she’s endured since the inaugural ball.

The singer was also dropped from her label, Capitol Records, just last week. She gave the hosts a little insight into the music industry and suggested that this professional setback is another consequence for performing for 45.

“When you get dropped from a label they don’t say ‘You weigh 222 pounds and your mother wears Army boots and we don’t want to work with you anymore.’ They’re not going to say because of your participation in the inauguration, but I mean, some things are kind of obvious.”

Citing people like Steve Harvey and Tina Campbell, Charlamagne Tha God pointed out that black people who have associated with Trump have experienced some sort of downfall, especially since he’s gotten “progressively worse” while in office. Michele conceded that she already knew Trump would be horrible.

“Oh, I knew that he wasn’t a good choice for the presidency. That was something we all knew together. But there’s always gotta be some sense of hope. Again, that stage, that message on that stage was the wrong time and the wrong place. And I apologize deeply for the people that I hurt.”

Before closing out the interview, Charlamagne gave Michele one final opportunity to sincerely tell the listening and viewing audience that she was wrong for participating in Trump’s inauguration.

“I made a bad decision, I did something that hurt a lot of people, it was offensive. Although that wasn’t my intention it happened and for that I’m deeply sorry.”

Tyrese Checked for Weapons at Courthouse Following Emotional Breakdown, Friends Concerned About His Mental State

One day after his emotional breakdown, court bailiffs were so concerned about Tyrese’s mental state that they feared he may have brought weapons to his custody hearing.

TMZ reports that as Tyrese walked into an LA Courthouse today, four bailiffs cornered him and patted him down to ensure he was not in possession of any weapons. Though nothing was found, the actor was cooperative. “Yes, I understand,” he said after being told he needed to be searched.

Tyrese is currently fighting for custody of his 10-year-old daughter, Shayla, after his ex-wife Norma accused him of child abuse. Norma was granted a temporary restraining order but hopes to make it permanent.

However, being unable to see his daughter for the past two months and the whole custody battle has taken a toll on the actor. In a six-minute Facebook video recorded yesterday (Nov. 1), Tyrese broke down in tears and begged for the court not to take his child away.

He also said he was going broke paying legal fees and that he had become unemployable because of Norma’s accusations.

The actor’s breakdown had friends and the internet worried about his mental health. However, Tyrese has attempted to quell concerns. “Contrary to what some of y’all may believe, I’m actually OK,” he said in an Instagram video posted Wednesday (Nov. 1).

He also tells TMZ that he is not crazy, but a “desperate father” who is “fighting for his child.”

Tyrese Suffers Emotional Breakdown Amid Custody Battle: “Please Don’t Take My Baby!”

For several weeks and months, we’ve seen Tyrese unravel while embroiled in a custody battle with his ex-wife and expressing frustration over the direction of the Fast & Furious franchise. Unfortunately, the actor has reached his breaking point and seemingly suffered an emotional breakdown on social media.

In a Facebook video recorded today (Wed, Nov. 1) shortly before a court appearance, Tyrese breaks down and begs the courts not to take his child away. He says he’s going broke paying legal fees, having trouble finding work because Norma has tarnished his reputation, and his rich friends have not reached out to help.

“Don’t take my baby, please don’t take my baby. This is all I got. Don’t take my baby, ok? I’ve been away from my baby for two months. I just want my baby and no one’s listening cause no one’s in the court room… I’m at $13,000 a month; What more do you want from me?!”

Tyrese is fighting for the right to see his 10-year-old daughter, Shayla, after his ex-wife, Norma Gibson, accused him of child abuse. Norma was granted a temporary restraining order and for the first time in 60 days, Tyrese was able to see Shayla during a supervised visit just a few days ago. However, the matter is still being heard by the court.

Also, in a bizarre lengthy Instagram post today, Tyrese explained his frustration over Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s decision to do a Fast & Furious spin-off film is because it potentially affects his ability to financially fight for custody of Shayla. He writes in part:

“FYI I was never mad at The Rock – I was just mad that he was ‘pitched’ an idea privately and said yes to it without thinking of what I’m dealing with personally I’m almost broke paying legal fees…

“So the rock how does it feel bro? going home to your daughter every night. it’s [sic] was 60 days before I seen my baby and all I asked you to do ‘privately’ was NOT accept a role that would deeply effect us all. You are simply NOT the people’s champ. you are a selfish champ.

“I’m almost broke swimming in legal fees CAA tried but couldn’t book me anything cause my ex wife killed my reputation so no one wants to hire me.”

It has been confirmed that Johnson will star in a spin-off film centered around his Fast & Furious character. Slated for a 2019 release, Johnson’s spin-off film will delay production of Fast & Furious 9 a full year and will be released in 2020, thus affecting Tyrese’s job security.

However, it seems Tyrese put his own job security in jeopardy. In another post today, he announced that if Johnson appeared in the Fast & Furious 9, he would quit the film. Tyrese joined the franchise in 2003 in its second film, while Johnson was added to the cast in 2011 (Fast 5).

Wendy Wiliams fainting during a live broadcast of her talk show was no laughing matter. But do you think that stopped social media from cracking jokes on her and turning the incident into a meme?

If you did, you’re obviously new to the internet because those of us who have been here for a while know that social media lacks this certain thing called “chill,” and they’re not afraid to show it.

Though Wendy has since updated fans and let everyone know that she’s A-OK, there’s been a lot of speculation about what’s going on with her. Did she have a stroke? Was the whole “fainting on live TV” thing staged? Is she stressed out over those rumors about her husband cheating on her and supposedly living a double life?

We don’t know for sure (FYI: Wendy says she “overheated” in her costume). But one thing we do know is that absolutely no one is safe when it comes to jokes on the internet. Wendy Williams passing out on live television quickly became an internet meme.

Wendy Williams Updates Fans After Fainting on TV, Staffers Are Worried About Her Health

Is Wendy Williams really okay? Staffers are reportedly worried about the talk show host’s health after she collapsed on live television.

Wendy suffered a frightening health scare during her live Halloween show on Tuesday (Oct. 31). While dressed as the Statue of Liberty, she became overheated in her costume and began to slur her words, shake, stagger, and eventually fainted in front of her studio audience and viewers watching on TV.

Though she was able to carry on with the rest of the show, Page Six reports some Wendy Williams Show staffers are seriously concerned about her health.

“Wendy has become very thin recently, and the show staff wonders if she is under a lot of personal stress,” a source told the publication.

They also wonder if the scary incident is linked to a September report that Wendy’s husband and business partner, Kevin Hunter, has allegedly been cheating on her for the past 10 years.

A year-long investigation by the Daily Mail claims Hunter leads a “double life” and is in a relationship with 32-year-old massage therapist Sharina Hudson. He allegedly even purchased a $765,000 home for her just miles away from the home he shares with Wendy.

However, Wendy and Hunter have both denied the allegations. A spokesperson for Wendy simply described Hudson as a family friend and defended his client’s marriage. “One plus one does not equal three,” he said. “This woman is a friend but there is no ‘there’ there.”

It has also been reported that Wendy fired several Wendy Williams Show employees for leaking the story to the Daily Mail.

But despite her staffer’s concerns, Wendy says she is fine after passing out on air. In an Instagram video, she gave an update to fans and intends to be back in her purple chair on Wednesday (Nov. 1).

“I’m home and hydrated,” Wendy said. “And I will definitely be there tomorrow with rest of the story.”

She also assured fans she was OK in a statement posted on Twitter. “Everybody relax. I’m doing fine, just need water and electrolytes,” she wrote.

Wow! Wendy Williams gave her audience and viewers quite the scare during her Halloween show and it was most definitely NOT a trick! The host passed out live on air.

Dressed as the Statue of Liberty, Wendy celebrated Halloween with her “co-hosts” during today’s live broadcast (Oct. 31).

However, mid-way through Wendy introducing her annual costume contest, “How You Booin’?” when she began slurring her words and noticeably began to shake. The host stumbled and fell to the floor as crew rushed to her aid and the director cut to black.

Following the commercial break, a conscious Wendy explained to the audience that she “overheated” due to her costume. “That was not a stunt,” she said trying to be upbeat. “I overheated in my costume and I did pass out. But do you know what? I’m a champ and I’m back!”

Wendy was able to complete the show and is reportedly expected to film shows for the rest of the week.

A rep for the show further explained Wendy overheated due to her bulky costume, heavy make-up and bright studio lights. But if her costume was the cause, why did she return still wearing the full Statue of Liberty costume?

Meanwhile, Ronn Torossian, a spokesperson for Wendy, says the host fainted because of dehydration.

Happy Halloween, courtesy of Kim Kardashian. The reality star kicked off All Hallows’ Eve by channeling her inner Cher. However, it’s her second costume that has outraged Black Twitter, causing them to drag Miss Kardashian-West.

On Saturday night (Oct. 28), Kim decided to dress as the late R&B icon Aaliyah. She used the singer’s 2000 “Try Again” music video for her inspiration.

Black Twitter was NOT happy with Kim’s choice of costume and dragged her for trying to emulate the Princess of R&B. “Aaliyah” even became a top five trending topic.

Offset Proposes to Cardi B On Stage During “Powerhouse” Concert, Twitter Reacts to the Happy News

Cardi B is most definitely having the best year of her life. Not only is she currently the hottest rapper in the game right now, but boyfriend Offset just sprinkled 8 carats worth of diamonds on her already decadent cake.

Cardi B and Offset are officially engaged!

Offset proposed to Cardi Friday night (Oct. 27) at the Power 99 Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center in front of thousands of screaming fans. The “Bodak Yellow” emcee could barely contain her excitement as Offset got on one knee. And she definitely was surprised!

Offset went all out for his queen too (as he should)! The engagement ring is a large 8-karat pear-shaped diamond. “She said yes,” he wrote on social media as he showed off the ring.


Cardi also shared her joy on Instagram. She wrote in one post:

Nelly was spotted at Opium nightclub in Atlanta, Georgia last weekend (Sat, Oct. 21) hosting their weekly “Opium Saturdays” series.

This is one of the rapper’s first public appearances (not including concert performances) since his arrest earlier this month after a woman accused him of raping her on his tour bus.

Nelly’s first gig since getting arrested was a couple of weeks ago in South Florida, where T.I. pledged his allegiance to his longtime friend and gave him some brotherly advice. “Put that bullsh*t behind you, get back to being great, get money,” Tip said. “F**k what a hater got to say.”

Last Saturday in Atlanta at Opium, Nelly hung out in the club’s VIP section, popped some bottles and smoked on some of that good loud aka gas aka “dank” (i.e. really good great weed for the uninitiated).

And how do we know it was good loud/gas, you ask? Because we were right there, and it smelled like “GOOD GAS,” which is par for the course for someone in Nelly’s position, especially with him dealing with those rape allegations.

Speaking of that, the latest with the situation is that his rape accuser is refusing to testify and has dropped her case against him, but Washington police still intend to move forward with their investigation with or without her testimony.

Other celebs spotted partying with Nelly at Opium Atlanta last Saturday included Bow Wow, Jermaine Dupri, Tiny Harris and Karrueche Tran.

Pregnant Toya Wright Wants to Squash Beef With Tamar Braxton Amid Divorce News: “I Wish [Her] the Best”

Toya Wright is offering an olive branch to Tamar Braxton. The pregnant reality star had nothing but kind words to say about her former friend during an appearance on Sister Circle.

Earlier this week, Toya addressed her feud with Tamar on Sister Circle. Though she previously has described Tamar as “the fakest bitch I know,” Toya took the high road and admitted she has nothing but love for the singer.

“I would like to say that I wish Tamar Braxton the best. I have nothing negative to say about her. I think she’s an amazing singer — very talented. I wish her much success.”

She went on to address a larger issue at hand and encouraged black women in the entertainment industry to stop the “cattiness and pettiness” on social media in an effort to set a better example for young girls.

“And as far as Black women in the entertainment industry who have those conflicts, I just feel like they we use social media platforms to kind of air out a lot of cattiness and pettiness. And I myself…I’m a victim of it as well. But we have to do better.

“We have to start setting more positive examples for our youth who follow us and look up to us, because the girl fights, the Twitter beefs and Instagram shade throwing—it just needs to stop.”

Toya and Tamar’s friendship turned into a feud when Toya appeared on The Real after Tamar was unexpectedly fired from the show. More damage was done when Tamar threw shade at Toya in an Instagram apology to Tiny Harris. Toya responded by calling her fake, petty, and pathetic.

Fortunately, it seems Toya is ready to bury the hatchet. The reality star—who is expecting a girl—offered her olive branch before it was announced Tamar is divorcing her husband, Vince Herbert. With the two going through life-changing events, maybe they can squash their beef once and for all.

Yesterday, we learned Tamar Braxton had decided to divorce her husband and manager Vincent Herbert, after nearly nine years of marriage. Sources are now revealing what may have caused the marriage to break down and The Real may have played a role.

Sources tell TMZ Tamar was depressed for several months after she was unexpectedly fired from The Real in May 2016. The firing and depression allegedly caused “irreparable fracture” to Tamar and Vince’s marriage, which was already rocky to begin with.

While they’re no strangers to a roller coaster of a relationship, we’re told losing the gig created bigger issues because it compounded an already teetering relationship. And one of the first steps to get back on track — moving out 3 months ago, even though they acted like a couple just 2 weeks ago.

The couple recently pretended to be a happy couple in NYC while promoting the upcoming season of their reality show Tamar & Vince. But back in LA, Tamar is reportedly living in a luxurious 2-bedroom apartment for $15K a month.

The singer officially filed for divorce in Los Angeles County on October 24 and is expected to “fight tooth and nail” for full custody of their 4-year-old son, Logan.

As for The Real, the co-hosts sent their former colleague well-wishes during a live broadcast on Wednesday (Oct. 25). Loni Love said:

“Tamar, I know that we’ve been through a lot on this show and I understand that but you know what? We truly wish you the best and we hope that you get through this.”

Tamar Braxton Filed for Divorce From Vincent Herbert Just One Month Shy of 9-Year Wedding Anniversary

Tamar Braxton recently stated she was taking a step back from her music career to “save her marriage.” Apparently, there wasn’t much to save because the singer has filed for divorce.

TMZ reports Tamar filed divorce papers on Tuesday (Oct. 24) in L.A. County. She and husband Vincent Herbert have been married for eight years. In fact, the divorce announcement comes just a month before their 9-year anniversary.

The couple began dating in 2003 after being introduced by Tamar’s sister, Toni Braxton. They have one child together, 4-year-old Logan Vincent. However, earlier this year, the two were actively trying to conceive again but struggled with IVF treatments.

Though the split seems sudden since the couple has been trying to put on a united front lately, we should have all seen this coming. Sources tell TMZ Tamar and Vince’s relationship has been a “rollercoaster” since their domestic dispute last year.

In August 2016, the two got into an argument that turned physical while staying at the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta. Vince reportedly bit Tamar and drew blood. 911 was called and the singer needed stitches. However, Vince was not arrested or charged as he had left the scene when police arrived.

Rumors began to swirl that this wasn’t the first time things had gotten physical with each other.

The couple was again tested earlier this year when a woman claimed Vince cheated on Tamar with her the night before he got married. She claims this one-night-stand resulted in a daughter. Tamar shot down the allegation on social media and addressed it on The Wendy Williams Show alongside Vince.

Following the divorce news, TMZ reports Tamar has already moved out of the home. The couple put their $3.7 million Calabasas mansion on the market earlier this month, which should have been a red flag of trouble to come.

Meanwhile, season 5 of their reality show Tamar & Vince will premiere November 9th on WE TV.
