Rapper 50 Cent, who goes by Curtis Jackson when he’s in his “actor” mode, stopped for a pic on the set of HBO’s Entourage Friday (Jun 12) with Doug Ellin (left - series creator) and Adrien Grenier (right - actor). 50 was filming a few scenes for the popular premium cable network’s series, which will air sometime in August. Check out these new photos of 50 Cent getting his acting on as “Curtis Jackson” with Chase Crawford on the set of Twelve in Manhattan’s Upper East Side Monday afternoon in New York. According to IMDB, Twelve is about a young drug dealer who watches as his high-rolling life is dismantled in the wake of his cousin’s murder, which sees his best friend arrested for the crime.
No word on who Curtis will be playing in the flick but if we had to guess, we’d say he’s the drug dealer guy. But we could be wrong. Dead wrong. He could be playing some inspirational or prolific role like a detective … or a police officer. Who knows?

All the real rappers were in the A performing at the Swagga Like Us Show. But since 50 Cent isn’t a real rapper, he opted to perform at Day 2 of the 2009 Bamboozle Left concert series Sunday night in Laguna Hills, California. Blah … he’s not welcome here anyway.
Angela Simmons, one half of the dynamic Simmons sister duo, was spotted without her other half as she left a tanning salon in Sunset Plaza in Los Angeles Monday afternoon.

50 Cent and Fall Out Boy are going on tour! … Together. Rapper sh*tty cent will reportedly join Fall Out Boy for 5 cities when the rockers kick off their tour in April.
“This will be a major moment in music history,” 50 Cent said in an exclusive statement to MTV News. “Joining forces with Fall Out Boy, one of the most dynamic rock bands in the industry, will be an exciting and historic event for rock and hip-hop.”
The rapper added that by joining the band on tour, he hopes to expand their fans’ musical tastes. “This is a chance for me to bring my music not only to hip-hop fans, but to a broader music audience.”
It’s being reported that rapper 50 Cent has replaced legendary actor Forest Whitaker in Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming all-star cast film “The Expendables.” Whitaker reportedly had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
According to Sly’s letter sent to AintItCool.com, though there are some who are displeased over 50 Cent’s taking over the role, he’s sticking with the decision. He wrote, “Trust me, the change of Forest Whitaker to 50 Cent AKA Curtis Jackson is a good one.”
“Nobody wanted Eric Roberts over Ben Kingsley, but I believe it’s a vastly improved cast. The point is, you either believe in me and the project, setting your personal feelings aside, or you take a darker approach, which really serves no purpose since your insight and suggestions and overall are a great thrill for me to behold everyday I sign on.”
Your boy 50 Cent is running off at the mouth again, but this time we kind of agree with him. But don’t tell anyone we said that! In a recent interview with KING magazine, the Jamaica Queens bred rapper said that even though Diddy hasn’t made a hit record in years, he somehow manages to maintain his relevancy within the hip-hop culture.
Who has the best model for staying relevant to fans?
Puffy has the best model for staying relevant, because [he does it] without a song. He’s been able to maintain an interest and stay in a space to executive produce television and film projects, and stay relevant to hip-hop culture. What was the last record that made you feel like, ‘Oh, my God, Puffy is on fire’? You don’t need it. That’s what makes his business model exciting to me. There are only three of us to look at: Jay, [me] and Puff. [We have] three totally different situations. We’ve just been a part of hip-hop culture. That’s the similarity. I still think they’ll be relevant. I just think they’re like the fire hydrant: You can’t move those guys out of the street. I think they’ll [still] be the guys you need to connect with [to] get a shot.

CHARLES BARKLEY ARRESTED FOR SUSPICION OF DUI » Your boy Charles Barkley was busted by the cops because they suspected he was driving under the influence of alcohol a couple of weeks ago in Phoenix, Arizona. An officer spotted Sir Charles as he ran a stop sign at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2008 in Scottsdale’s Old Town area, a reportedly trendy spot in the Phoenix area. But anyway, when the news hit the web, the former NBA star immediately released a statement to the press:
“I am disappointed that I put myself in that situation,” Barkley said in a statement to The Associated Press. “The Scottsdale police were fantastic. Now it is a legal matter and I will not comment any further as it is a legal matter.”
According to reports, 45-year-old Barkley failed field sobriety tests after the officer who pulled him over smelled alcohol on his breath. He was subsequently arrested, but refused to submit to a breath test. He was instead given a blood test, of which the results aren’t available yet. After a short time in jail, Barkley was cited and released. Police described Barkley as cooperative, and to make sure people didn’t give them the “side-eye,” they mentioned that it was customary to release people after a DUI arrest.
And what about Barkley’s reason for being in the area? You know that whole, “You have the right to remain silent” mumbo jumbo? Charles apprently didn’t give a f**k because he told police he was on the way to receive a favor from a friend of his, or as he so eloquently put it, to go “get a bl** job.” He said he had been there a week before, but she gave him “the beset one he ever had in his life,” and he was looking to for a second round that night.
No word on if the police actually asked Barkley where he was going or if Barkley just decided he wanted to tell the po-po of his whereabouts. We’ll let you know as soon as we do!
