Lindsay Lohan Hospitalized After Contracting Rare, Incurable Virus

Poor Lindsay Lohan. She has got to have the worst luck!

The 28-year-old actress was recently hospitalized in London after contracting a rare, incurable incurable virus while vacationing in Bora Bora over the Holidays.

Lohan reportedly became so ill that she couldn’t walk and is currently suffering from severe joint pain caused by Chikungunya, a virus brought on by mosquito bites.

TMZ reports:

We’re told Lindsay contracted Chikungunya, a virus transmitted by mosquito bites that causes fever, joint pain and fatigue.

Lindsay vacationed in Bora Bora over the holidays and then flew to L.A. to shoot an Esurance commercial … we believe for the Super Bowl.

Lindsay began complaining of the illness just before New Year’s. She then went back to London where she became so ill she couldn’t walk.

Lindsay is currently in King Edward VII’s Hospital … the same place the Queen gets treated. They’re keeping Lindsay because she has a high fever and the joint pain is unbearable.

As for her prognosis … we’re told the joint pain could last for months.

Lindsay was reportedly released from the hospital after her fever broke, and her mom Dina is on her way to London to be with her.

Though she’s out of the hospital, Lindsay is still said to be dealing with “intense” joint pain and she’s been referred to a specialist who treats the virus.

No matter what Lindsay has done or what her reputation is … no one deserves to deal with something like this.

Love & Hip Hop’s Diamond Strawberry Regrets Calling Her Daughter A Dog: “I Feel So Stupid!”

“Love & Hip Hop New York” star Diamond Strawberry says the one thing she regrets this season on is comparing her daughter to a dog on the show.

Viewers slammed the new reality star for leaving her daughter behind in Los Angeles to move to New York so that she could be close to her boyfriend and fellow castmate Cisco.

Strawberry irked “LHHNY” fans even more when she revealed she never told her boyfriend that she had a 6-year-old daughter, even though they had been dating for two years.

She made things even worse when it was revealed on the show that in a rather extreme effort to keep her lie up, she used to pretend her child was a dog barking in the background when she and Cisco would talk on the phone.

As a result of her ridiculous story, Diamond wound up getting slandered all over social media.

“I feel so stupid about that. I really do. That is the one thing in the season that I wish I could take back — the dog reference to my daughter,” Strawberry told VladTV. “For anyone that knows me, knows the kind of mother I am. My daughter knows that she’s my world. My daughter knows that I’ve sacrificed so much for her.”

Diamond explained that one of the reasons she didn’t tell Cisco about her daughter was because she was trying to keep her safe. She added, “Dealing with all that negative backlash was tough, it still is tough that people are trying to discredit me as a mother.”

Lil Wayne Drops “Sorry 4 The Wait 2” Mixtape, Disses Birdman

The wait is over. After teasing us with remixes to Future’s “Sh!t” and ILoveMakonnen’s “Maneuvering,” Weezy took over the Internet last night when he finally released his highly anticipated mixtape “Sorry 4 The Wait 2.”

The mixtape intro “CoCo” begins with Wayne dissing Birdman and letting it be clear that he carried Cash Money on his back.

“Who kept this sh*t together? N**ga me, that’s who / Who was there when n**gas left? N**ga me / That’s who,” he raps. “Cash Money is an army, I’m a one man army.”

Wayne also brings his friends and YMCMB family (Drake, Christina Milian, Mack Maine, 2 Chainz and Shanell) along for his latest music project.

Overall, the mixtape isn’t half bad and Wayne reminds us that he’s still got it lyrically, but we can tell Wayne threw this together quickly just to please the fans.

Kevin Hart Explains Why He’ll “Never” Play a Gay Role in Breakfast Club Interview

Actor/comedian Kevin Hart made an early morning stop by “The Breakfast Club” last Friday (Jan 16) to promote his new film “The Wedding Ringer.”

While there, Kevin talked about the Sony hack and being called a “money whore,” having beef with Mike Epps, and why he will never play a gay role.

“Not because I have any ill will or disrespect, it’s because I feel like I can’t do it because I don’t think…I’m gonna dive into that role 100 percent because of the insecurities of myself trying to that part…like what I think people are going to think while I’m trying to do this is going to stop me from playing that part the way I’m supposed to.”

But Hart isn’t ruling out playing gay altogether.

“Seven years later when [I’ve] done this part and you say, ‘Hey Kevin, I thought you said you would never do it.’ I’m at a point where I want to take a chance, this role made sense, the story made sense, I may do it…You don’t know what tomorrow holds. Once again, if I get to the point where I want to challenge myself in the business, and I’m all about the art, who knows if that’s the right artsy piece that can get Kevin Hart an Oscar and show a different acting talent. But right now, it’s not on the drawing board.”

Watch: August Alsina Fights Backstage at Anti-Violence Concert

August Alsina is slowly, but surely starting to give himself a bad name.

The R&B singer performed for the “State of Emergency” charity concert promoting non-violence in St. Louis over the weekend, however what was supposed to be a peaceful show turned out to be the exact opposite.

After finishing up his set, August and friends got into a fight backstage with the show’s promoter Slim.

Apparently, it was all over August showing up late to the show, but regardless, this is not a good look for the “No Love” singer who already showed his azz on live TV during an appearance on “106 & Park” last year.

According to TMZ:

The show was called State Of Emergency 2 and it went down Saturday night at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis. Proceeds from the show went to the Put Down the Pistol program.

According to our sources, Alsina got into it backstage with the show’s promoter, Loose Cannon Slim, after Slim got upset at Alsina for showing up late. Words were exchanged and it seemed as if it would stop there … until the punches started flying.

The video is crazy — you can see Alsina go after Slim, who got knocked to the ground. One of Alsina’s people quickly pulled him off … while Fabolous watched from a distance — holding his drink.

A$AP Yams, Founding Member of A$AP Mob, Dead at 26

Hip Hop fans are in mourning over the death of A$AP Yams, one of the founding members of the rap collective A$AP Mob.

Yams (real name: Steven Rodriguez), known for helping pave the way for artists like A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg, passed away Sunday (Jan 18) at the age of 26.

“My role is everything that comes out from Rocky or anything we make I put stamp of approval on it. That’s from a musical standpoint to a business standpoint. I make sure everything is right,” Yams said in an interview with Vibe in 2012.

There was no official immediate word on the cause of Yams’ death.

RCA Records, A$AP Mob’s record company, said in a statement that they were “shocked and saddened” to hear about the sad news.

“As one of the creative forces behind A$AP Worldwide, Yams’ vision, humor and dedication to the members of A$AP Mob will always be remembered,” the statement read, according to Rolling Stone.

Kenya Moore Wants “Celebrity Apprentice” to Clean Up Her Villainous Reality TV Image

We all know Kenya Moore as the “reality TV villain,” and though she’s often the subject of controversy on whatever show she’s starring in — whether it’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” or “Celebrity Apprentice” — the former Miss USA hopes that her stint on the Donald Trump series will show the world that she’s more than just a Bravo “Housewife” that likes to stir up drama.

“I think that I show people a very different side because what I’ve been getting in terms of feedback from the Twitterverse and social media is that they really enjoy watching me on this show,” Kenya told EURweb at the TCA (Television Critics Association) Winter Press Tour on Friday (Jan 16).

Kenya has never been afraid to make enemies and speak her mind on “Real Housewives,” and she’s doing the same on “Celebrity Apprentice.”

“I came to win,” Moore continued. “I came to win money for my charity. I came to show people a different side of me. And although multiple people tried to derail me from that and make it personal [with] imaginary drama – like Brandi [Glanville] – I decided to take a higher road and I think people really appreciated me for that.”

Instead of getting physically combative with others, Kenya uses her mouth to piss people off — whether she’s irking Porsha Williams and causing her to react violently on last season’s “RHOA” reunion show, or telling Donald Trump about Keshia Knight Pulliam not asking her former TV dad Bill Cosby for money (before the rape scandal) during a fund-raising challenge, which ultimately got Keshia fired.

When asked to consider how negatively black women are depicted on reality TV, Moore said she believes there’s a clear double standard, pointing to Kerry Washington playing “the president’s whore” on “Scandal,” or Viola Davis acting as a “conniving, cunning woman adulterer who is having an affair” on “How to Get Away With Murder.”

“As a whole, there are going to be depictions of us that are negative and depictions of us that are positive, and then you’re going to have a bit of both,” Moore said. “I think what makes our show successful overall is that we are showing real live people argue. But they also have resolution in real life and we show that, too.”

MTV premiered a new Nicki Minaj documentary Sunday night (Jan 18) called “My Time Again,” the follow-up to her 2010 special “My Time Now.”

The 40-minute documentary gives us a behind the scenes look at Nicki Minaj as she prepares to release her latest album ‘The Pinkprint.’ It also features footage of her rehearsing for her MTV VMAs performance and the drama surrounding it, including the incident when a snake bit one of her dancers and her infamous wardrobe malfunction during the show.

Nicki returns to her hometown of Queens for a day and spends quality time with her friends and family. We also get to see rare emotional moments form Nicki as she opens up about breaking up with her boyfriend of the past 11 years Safaree Samuels, which inspired ‘The Pinkprint.’

Nicki also talks about the abortion she had when she was a teenager (which she mentioned in the Pinkprint song “All Things Go”) and her desire to be a mother one day. She said, “I think four years from now is the time to have a child, I would have to be married first. I think there is a housewife somewhere in here.”

VH1 Quits on “Sorority Sisters” Amid Massive Backlash

After receiving massive backlash, criticism and boycotts over their controversial reality show “Sorority Sisters,” VH1 is abruptly bringing the series to an end.

VH1 will air the final three episodes of their controversial reality show “Sorority Sisters” back-to-back Friday (Jan 16) beginning at 9:30 pm EST. The network said the move is intended to satisfy viewer interest by bringing the cast’s stories full circle.

According to the AJC, the show’s abrupt ending doesn’t really mean it’s been officially canceled, but it still very well could be over.

This doesn’t mean the show has been officially cancelled. VH1 rarely makes such announcements when a show is killed anyway, but no network with any intention of bringing a show back would make a move like this. It’s not a stretch to say it’s over for “Sorority Sisters.”

The final episode will air at 11:10 and end just after midnight, and they will not be repeated for the West Coast.

The show has been attacked for its portrayal of African American sororities by tying well-respected Greek organizations to the ridiculous drama that VH1’s reality shows are known for.

Several prominent sponsors pulled ads from the show, including T-Mobile, Hallmark, Carmex, Coca-Cola, Honda, Crayola Dominos, JC Penny, the Selma movie and many others.

Additionally, the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority suspended two cast members from separate chapters after the VH1 series began airing.

VH1 aired a special last week called “Sorority Sisters: The Dialogue” to give the women on the show a platform to explain why they decided to apart of the series and to also address the show’s critics.

The network sent the following statement to BuzzFeed about their decision to bring the series to a quick end.

“Based on the feedback we saw on Twitter after Sorority Sisters: The Dialogue debuted last week, it was clear that the audience wanted to see the stories of the cast play out more fully,” a rep for the network said in a statement. “We felt it would be best to run the remaining episodes back to back, bringing the season full circle.”

John Travolta Introduced Himself to a Man Alone at the Gym at 3 AM … ALONE!

“I thought I was at the gym by myself at 3am, then this guy comes up to me and introduces himself,” the man wrote on Reddit. The “guy” just so happened to be John Travolta, noticeably without his hairpiece.

There isn’t anything weird about that is it? Of course not! He doesn’t have to wear his hairpiece everywhere.

No further details were provided about Travolta and this man’s random 3 a.m. gym encounter, but ABC News caught up with the man — Ocala, Florida resident Justin Jones — who said he and John had a “fairly long conversation.”

Justin said he works late and sometimes goes to the local Planet Fitness for a quick workout before he heads home, which explains why he was at the gym at 3 a.m. by himself. This past Wednesday (Jan 14) while he was at the gym, a familiar face walked up to him and introduced himself as “John.”

“That’s exactly how it happened,” Jones told ABC News. “I said, ‘Yeah, I know who you are! We had a fairly long conversation.”

If you’re looking for something to give you a headache, look no further than this 20-minute “discussion” between”POT!” expert (and professional screamer) Nancy Grace and rapper 2 Chainz about the legalization of marijuana.

After introducing the rapper as “a superstar in his own right, known as 2 Chainz, also Tauheed Epps, also Tity Boi … one of the most famous rappers in the world,” Nancy asks Mr. Chainz why he supports marijuana legalization since she knows he graduated from Alabama State University with a 4.0 GPA on a basketball scholarship.

“I’ve seen video of you smoking a big fat doobie,” she says to him while showing viewers the footage, and at one point she quickly diverts the discussion of pot to randomly ask him, “And while I have you, why the 2 Chainz?” (LOL! Never change, Nancy.)

She tries to use videos of irresponsible parents giving their toddlers joints to drive her point home, to which 2 Chainz responds, “These people are obviously irresponsible people. You can’t use this case to define an entire community.”

Grace also unsuccessfully attempts to discredit 2 Chainz’ opinion by pointing out his explicit lyrics and lifestyle, yet 2 Chainz maintains his composure, despite attacks on his parenting skills and his character.

“Some of your lyrics are so incredible,” she says, cutting him off while he’s explaining the story behind his name, “but then other of your lyrics advocate a different kind of lifestyle. A lifestyle I don’t think you would want little children exposed to. I mean, do you have children?”

Yes, 2 Chainz is a parent. “I have two beautiful girls, and I’m a great father,” he says. But that has nothing to do with how and when he consumes marijuana, because he has the good sense not to allow his young children to smoke it, unlike those “imbecile” parents in those videos Nancy and “Liz” keep showing him.

But according to Nancy, 2 Chainz — as influential and intelligent as he is (“My stars, man, you graduated with a 4.0. You’re a millionaire … You’re successful. At some point you have to look in the mirror and say this is wrong,” she shouted to him) — should know better.

And in Nancy’s opinion, knowing better means “POT!” is bad and he should be all the way against it, because of the children. Why is he not thinking about the children?

“Giving your kids drugs is just wrong,” 2 Chainz says. “We know that. You don’t have to be a genius. You don’t have to graduate from school. You don’t have to be a successful artist or entertainer to know that giving any child—not just your child—drugs is wrong. You know that. I’m not gonna argue with that.”

Sources tell TMZ, the two superstars were spotted kissing and getting real cozy this past weekend at the Playboy Mansion for designer Nikki Erwin’s birthday party. (Yes, you read that right … K-I-S-S-I-N-G!)

Lil Wayne’s Manager Cortez Bryant Defends Rapper’s Loyalty to Cash Money

As most Tunechi fans should know by now, Weezy and his label Cash Money Records have been at odds over the release of ‘Tha Carter V.’

Last month, Wayne tweeted that he wants “off this label and nothing to do with these people” because Birdman refuses to release his new album.

Birdman has reportedly vowed to take matters to court if needed due to Wayne currently being under contract.

Cortez Bryant — who has been working with Wayne since they were school classmates — took to Instagram earlier this week to defend Wayne and his loyalty to Cash Money over the past 10 years, while also giving him props for building Drake and Nicki Minaj’s respective careers.

Flavor Flav Indicted by Grand Jury in New York Driving Case

Flavor Flav has been indicted by a grand jury in New York on a number of driving charges he received during a traffic stop while driving to his mother’s funeral.

According to reports, Flav — whose real name is William Drayton — was arrested Friday (Jan 9) by New York State Police on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Long Island for driving with 16 suspensions on his license.

He was eventually released to attend his mother’s funeral, but in addition to his arrest for “Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation,” the Public Enemy rapper was popped for driving 79 mph in a 55 mph zone, and he was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

We hope Flavor Flav puts all of those clocks he has to good use because his grand jury arraignment is next Wednesday (Jan 21).

Adrien Broner Apologizes for Dissing Jay Z & Rihanna: “I Can Admit When I’m Wrong”

Adrien Broner may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but at least he knows when he’s done (and/or said) something stupid.

The controversial boxer has issued an apology to Jay Z and Rihanna after he dissed them last week on Facebook and in an interview with TMZ Sports.

Broner made headlines last week when he revealed he was presented with an offer to sign a 5-year contract with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports for $40 million, an amount that apparently offended Broner and he let it be known via Facebook, telling the rap mogul to “suck [his] dick with a elephant tongue.”

When TMZ Sports caught up with Broner regarding his remarks, he reiterated his comment on Facebook, claiming Jay’s offer was less than what he’s worth and he felt “disrespected” by the deal.

He also went after Rihanna, who is signed to Roc Nation under their artist management division, saying the only thing she’s good for is pussy.

“Man, fuck Rihanna. No disrespect. Rihanna ain’t gon make me no dollar and she don’t make no dollar for me, man. At the end of the day, she gon’ give me some p*ssy and that’s it.”

Now the boxer, who has a record of 29 wins to one loss, has backtracked on his statements about Jay Z and Rihanna, apologizing to the entertainers in a second interview with TMZ.

“I’ve gotta address something because I’m getting a lot of feedback from this interview I did with TMZ,” Broner said. “I was going to let it ride out and say, ‘Forget the haters,’ but my big homie called me, somebody that I respect, and he made me understand why I was wrong.”

The “big homie” Adrien is referring to is likely 50 Cent, who told TMZ a few days ago he thought Broner turning down Jay Z’s offer and also disrespecting the Hip Hop titan was a terrible idea.

“You never invite another man to another man’s private parts. That’s just ridiculous,” Broner told TMZ. “I was caught up in the moment and I want to apologize to Jay for that. I’m a man at the end of the day. I’m wrong and I can admit when I’m wrong.

Adrien also felt bad for what he said about Rihanna. “I never should have said ‘Forget Rihanna,’ he added. “I said it in a more explicit way. I’m wrong, I’m sorry. If Jay wants to talk to me, you can get in touch with me and we can talk about it.”
