It’s Official: Kevin Durant Has Signed With the Golden State Warriors

For months now, people have been talking about where Kevin Durant would end up with his contract ending in OKC. Speculation ran rampant: some thought he’d stay with fellow super star Russell Westbrook, it seemed like the Celtics were on his short list for a while, and of course, Golden State was always a part of the conversation.

Well, today, Durant made it official with an announcement in the The Players’ Tribune. The former NBA MVP is going to be joining the likes of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and Draymond Green to help in another title run for the Warriors.

The expected two-year, $54.3 million contract will include a player option after the first year, giving Durant the opportunity to reevaluate following next season.

Durant, when talking about the decision, said it has been “by far the most challenging few weeks in my professional life.” He continued, “The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player – as that has always steered me in the right direction.”

The trade is huge for the Golden State Warriors, who, with the increased cap limit, aren’t going to have to sacrifice much. It is likely that Harrison Barnes will leave (most likely to Dallas) and Andrew Bogut will be traded. And while nothing is official just yet, Bogut has already removed references to the Warriors from his Twitter page.

This is clearly the biggest move thus far in the offseason that has already seen Derrick Rose leave his hometown for the NY Knicks. With Durant joining the already explosive Warriors, it is clear that LeBron James and the Cavs are in for a much tougher battle should there be a three-peat matchup between the two powerhouses.

Tyga & Kylie Jenner Are Definitely Back Together, Spotted Holding Hands at L.A. Movie Theater

The on again/off again relationship between Kylie Jenner and Tyga is apparently back on. The couple was spotted on a date night at the Sherman Oaks Galleria in LA over the weekend.

Dressed extremely casually, the two were seen hugging and holding hands as they were exiting a movie theater. Though the two have not officially announced they’re back together since their May break up, they have certainly been acting like they’re boo’d up.

In addition to the movie date, they attended Khloe Kardashian’s recent birthday party and were seen together at the premier of Kanye West’s creepy music video for his single, “Famous.” Jenner also referred to Tyga as “my husband” on Snapchat, which of course sparked wedding rumors.

Friends close to the couple say them getting back together was “inevitable” and “fate.”

“Kylie and Tyga are giving things another shot. They are taking things a lot slower this time around, though, and are using their former arguments and fights as a learning curve and as a reference point for a healthier future,” a source (probably Kris Jenner) told People.

Snapchat videos also showed the couple spending time with Tyga’s son and Jenner’s future nephew, Cairo. If that’s not called love, I don’t know what is.

New Couple Alert: Trey Songz & Khloe Kardashian Caught Making Out in Las Vegas

Khloe Kardashian has herself a new black man to cuddle up to. The reality has star has moved on from rappers and athletes to singers, and Trey Songz is apparently the lucky man.

The two were definitely boo’d up Saturday night (Jul 2) in Las Vegas. They arrived together at Dria’s Nightclub, where Songz performed. Khloe was seen smiling ear-to-ear in a VIP booth during his set.

Later, they were seen making out and didn’t care who saw. “They weren’t shy about it!” said a source.

Rumors about the couple first began when they were getting quite cozy at Khloe’s 32nd birthday bash just a few days ago. Khloe wasn’t too happy about the speculation and ranted on her personal website, though the post has since been deleted.

“The most annoying thing about tabloid rumors is the double standard,” she wrote. “If I’m ‘spotted’ hanging with a guy at a party—even if I’m just saying hi for a quick second—it immediately becomes a negative headline about how many guys I’m dating or how I’m getting into a new relationship. Men don’t get that reputation! They get a pat on the back.”

Neither Khloe nor Trey have confirmed the relationship. It’s also unclear if this is the real deal or just a convenient driveby. Regardless, the video footage doesn’t lie and it’s safe to say the two are getting it in at least every once in a while.

NFL Player Deonte Thompson Put on Blast by Side Chick on His Wedding Day

NFL player Deonte Thompson’s marriage might be over before it even begins.

The Chicago Bears receiver recently married his girlfriend of 10 years in a beautiful ceremony. However, his former (or current?) lover says the alleged 10 years don’t add up for her. She went all out and put Thompson on blast … on his wedding day!

Dria Felton wasn’t holding anything back as she took to Instagram to call Thompson out. She posted several photos of herself using #JayAndD4Eternity in the caption, screenshots of text messages between herself and Thompson, and a photo of their daughter together.

However, the ultimate petty move was a Flipgram video of pictures of Thompson and now-wife Jourdan “Jay” Neal, with an audio recording of Felton and Thompson arguing about his 10-year relationship with Neal.

I’m not exactly sure who was the actual “side chick,” but I’m all here for the pettiness. It looks like Thompson played both of these women and I can’t fault Felton for being all in her feelings.

Fetty Wap and Masika Kalysha Attack Each Other’s Parenting Skills on Twitter

Celebrities really need to learn how to pick up a phone, send a text message, or even write a letter. This constant social media beef is just too much. Fetty Wap and Masika Kalysha went back and forth on Twitter over each other’s parenting skills.

The unnecessary Twitter war began after Fetty posted a picture of their three-month-old daughter Khari. Apparently the parents had agreed to keep the baby’s image off social media to keep her out of the limelight and away from trolls, but … too late.

Masika says she and Fetty had a very specific deal to keep 3-month-old Khari out of the limelight, and he betrayed her by posting pics of the kid. Predictably, people on social media have gotten snarky, saying the kid doesn’t look anything like Fetty so she must have slept with someone else.

These two have completely failed at co-parenting since the beginning. The rapper denied Masika’s baby’s was his even before she was born. They were able to work things out to a certain degree, with Masika praising Fetty as an involved dad just a month ago.

But, seriously, there is no need for me or any us to know this much about their issues co-parenting. Celebrities really need to keep such personal problems off social media and leave us out it.

Masika and Fetty are arguing over who has the better interest of the child, ignoring the fact that one day, Khari will know just how childish her parents acted on a public forum. Not to mention trolls and all of social media will now offer their two cents on a private matter.

Sas from “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” Has Been Shot in the Head

As much as we all love to poke fun at the ratchet reality show, this Love & Hip Hop Atlanta story is no laughing matter. Cast member Sas has been shot.

The rapper (real name: Lyndon Akhil Smith) was rushed to the hospital Saturday night (Jul 2) after suffering a bullet wound to the head. Luckily, he is expected to recover from the injuries. He was even able to take to Instagram to keep fans informed. One pic showed dried blood on his pillow and he appeared in high spirits in a follow-up video post.

“The doctor just told me I got a bullet in the back of my head,” Sas said. “They said I got a thick skull. Y’all pray for me though. I appreciate all the love and support. God got me. Allah got me. I ain’t tripping.”

Sas is clearly trying to put on a brave face. We can only imagine the pain, fear, and pure shock he must be feeling during this difficult time. Allegedly, doctors say Sas could have been paralyzed (or killed) if the bullet wound was just three millimeters lower.

No information has been released regarding the shooting. The shooter is unknown as well as what lead to the shooting. We’re also hearing LHHATL cameras went to the hospital to film the aftermath.

Sas joined LHHATL in the show’s current fifth season. His family has provided the most “real” and serious storylines of the season. His brother, Scrapp DeLeon, was sentenced to five years in prison for trafficking marijuana. Their mother, Karen “KK” King, was arrested for theft by financial identity fraud after filming wrapped. And on top of all of that, the three of them, along with Sas and Scrapp’s younger brother, were involved in an attempted murder plot.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Sas and his family.

“Basketball Wives L.A.” Comes Roaring Back for Season 5

If you thought that Draya departing from the last season of Basketball Wives LA was going to put the nail in the coffin for the trouble reality TV series, you thought wrong.

Although the original entry in the franchise has been put to bed, the Los Angeles spinoff is back for more ratchetness. Tami Roman, Shaunie O’Neal, Malaysia Pargo, Brandi Maxiell and, of course, Jackie Christie, are all back for more fun in the Hollywood sun.

And in the trailer for Season 5, which is set to premiere on Sunday, July 17, things pick up right where they left off with discussion about Brandi and Shaunie’s clash. Tami is seen declaring that Brandi owes Shaunie an apology for calling her a bitch. Shaunie tried to pull a power move and told Brandi that she was fired last year, but clearly that was a lie since Brandi is back for season 5. If you doubted the fact that Shaunie’s Executive Producer title on the show is mostly ceremonial, this confirms it.

Tami, as usual, is back to her classic, neck-swiveling ways and Angel Brinks is still for some reason trying to fit in with this group of women who absolutely cannot stand her. Which makes even less sense with Draya out of the picture.

The good news is Meghan James, the main troublemaker from season 4, ISN’T coming back. So we’ll at least have a break from her nonsense.

Empire star Bryshere Gray, who plays Hakeem Lyon, was snapped snuggling up to Love & Hip Hop Atlanta matriarch Momma Dee at the Essence Music Festival. Maybe it’s because Momma Dee has been going through it with her old-ass husband Ernest, but Momma Dee is clearly licking her chops at Bryshere’s young meat.

Azealia Banks Attempts to Justify Her Skin Bleaching by Comparing It to Hair Weave

This is sad. This is so sad. Azealia Banks is literally out here roaming the streets looking like a powdered doughnut. The rapper recorded a Facebook Live session to explain/justify her recent skin bleaching procedures.

I don’t know if she’s trying to convince us or herself. But in the 21-minute video, she stumbles over her thoughts as she explains she’s simply trying to assimilate into our white-dominate society. Bleaching her skin “is just the continuation of the falsification of self that comes with being Black in America,” she says.

Yeah, OK girl.

She even compares whitening her skin to plastic surgery and hair weave.

“What’s the difference between getting your nose done and changing your skin color? What’s the difference between getting a hair weave and changing your skin color? Nobody was upset when I was wearing 30-inch weaves and tearing out my edges. You guys loved it, but what is the difference? I don’t understand what difference is, because there really isn’t a difference.”

People were shocked when Banks appeared on Periscope with noticeably lighter skin a few months ago. Banks has been extremely vocal about thoughts on race in America. She has been a champion for black people to overcome the obstacles stacked against the community and has also talked about colorism.

Though she argues bleaching her skin does not negate her past statements regarding blackness, it seems like a slap in the face to me. She seemed proud of her milk chocolate skin for the longest time. Between this, her never-ending Twitter beefs, and homophobic statements, Banks is too much for me to handle. Her and Rachel Dolezal can both sit down somewhere and have an intellectual discussion about blackness for all I’m concerned.

Fergie Calls on Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen and Ciara for “M.I.L.F. $” Music Video

Taylor Swift is not the only one who can assemble a girl squad. Fergie calls on Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen and Ciara for support in her comeback music video “M.I.L.F. $”

The song is a tongue-in-cheek play on the NSFW version of that acronym, though Fergie attempts to put a positive spin on it by changing the acronym to “Moms I’d Like to Follow.” But she still flirts with the original meaning as she squirms in a milk bath, bends over provocatively, and flirts with shirtless milkmen.

After stumbling with her previous attempted comeback single, “L.A. Love,” this strikes a much better chord. It’s a retread of Fergie’s tricks, but it feels fun, fresh and familiar enough. And with Iggy Azalea completely floundering, the lane is open again for a talk-singing white girl who flirts with hip-hop, so push through, Fergie.

The cameos from Kim Kardashian, Ciara and Chrissy Teigen were a nice touch. There were a bunch of model-type white chicks who are apparently moms too, but the one MILF that would’ve made this video truly perfect and epic would’ve been Beyoncé. But let’s face it, the odds of Bey making a cameo in a Fergie video about as a good as the odds of Bey making a cameo in a Keri Hilson video, so it was never gonna happen any damn way.

Popular aspiring actress and model Jokisha “Kisha” Brown was found shot to death at an Atlanta strip mall Friday night (Jul 1) just hours before her birthday.

Police are investigating Kisha Brown’s murder, but currently have no suspects.

Here are 5 things you need to know about Kisha Brown and the details surrounding her tragic death:

1Kisha’s body was found in a parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds

According to police, Brown was shot multiple times while sitting in her Black Mercedes SUV in the parking lot of a strip mall on Cheshire Bridge Road. The shooting took place around 10:15 p.m on Friday night.

Brown’s friends say she stopped in the area to get her makeup done before going out to celebrate her birthday. She was struck by bullets through the front passenger side window.

2She was killed just hours before her birthday

Today would have been Kisha Brown’s 36th birthday.

In one of her last Facebook posts, she talked about how thankful to God she was to have made it to see another year. She also spoke on the recent death of her brother Marlon and how it would be the first year with him not by her side for her birthday.

Someone has a birthday tomorrow…I thank you lord for truly showing up in my life, always. I pray everyday you just order my footsteps and bless me with the wisdom to make great decisions in my life. 3Kisha was previously kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend

Jordan Jackson, a friend of Kisha’s, told news reporters that the actress/model had been abducted by a crazy ex-boyfriend from her Gwinnett County home in the past. Jackson said Brown only escaped by jumping out of a moving car.

“She went through a hard, very, very hard time with this breakup,” Jackson said. “She steadily voiced it, she feared for her life that something might happen to her.”

Brown’s ex-boyfriend Alfredo Capote has been wanted by Gwinnett police for rape and kidnapping charges since April. Police haven’t said if Capote is a suspect in the murder.

4Kisha’s brother was also murdered earlier this year

Brown’s younger brother Marlon was shot and killed at a Jacksonville strip club back in March. Last month, Kisha wrote a lengthy post on Facebook about how she was struggling with accepting his death.

Kisha also was the leading lady in Yo Gotti’s “5 Star” music video and appeared in Hurricane Chris’ “Halle Berry” video.

Chris Brown Refutes Claims He Trashed Villa With Some Pretty Convincing Video Footage

All of Chris Brown’s legal woes might be paying off in a way no one would have expected. Amid reports the singer trashed a rented villa in Ibiza with pee and vomit, he had the foresight to record video proof to the contrary.

In a series of Instagram posts, Brown shared video of himself walking through the house. From the naked eye, everything seemed to be in order. The house was clean, no broken objects, and very beautifully decorated. Brown says he recorded the footage 10 minutes before they left because the landlord was making “petty” and unnecessary allegations.

“So if y’all see some bulls**t on TMZ saying, oh, Chris Brown and them trashed the f**king house or whatever, that’s the people, the landlords trying to get some money… I don’t conduct myself like that. We turn up, we have fun; we’re not no f**king animals, bro,” he said in one of the posts.

According to a police report, Brown and his left the villa with pee in a bed, vomit in several places, and holes in the wall. The landlord also accused Brown of owing $60,000 in rent and damages. Police were called when Brown refused to leave the premises after checkout time.

Brown showed the damaged wall in the video and suggested it was cheap sheetrock that could be repaired with $60. The rent dispute was also reportedly settled.

The singer was rightfully upset as the drama unfolded. “Let’s put Chris Brown’s name in it, so people can automatically assume ‘cause I don’t have the benefit of the doubt,” he said. Though he doesn’t have a great track record, and given his rough week, admittedly, it was easy to assume the worst.

Now that we know what really went down, Brown actually showed maturity in this particular situation. Is this the start of a new and improved Chris Brown? Has fatherhood really changed him? It’s too soon to answer these questions, but at least this is one legal snafu he doesn’t have to worry about.

Frank Ocean Reveals July 2016 Release Date for “Boy’s Don’t Cry” Album

The wait is over! At least we hope so. Frank Ocean has revealed a tentative release date for his second studio album, Boys Don’t Cry.

The singer-songwriter surprised anxious fans with a creative photo on his website. The pic titled, “late,” is similar to a library due date slip with several dates. The slip begins with July 2015, which is when Ocean originally stated the album would drop.

However, after a full year of waiting, July 2016 is the official release month. A specific date is yet to be revealed. He may pull a Beyonce and drop the album with no notice or he may just postpone again. Unless he wants fans chasing him down with pitchforks, demanding an album, I doubt this will be the case.

Rumors have swirled for months that a release was imminent, peaking in June. “We’ve all been working hard. He’s been working super hard. Ocean’s 2012 debut, Channel Orange, is nothing short of a masterpiece. It’s understandable that he may feel pressure with the follow-up. Future Says He Isn’t “Worried” About Desiigner in Rolling Stone Cover Story

Future has finally addressed all of the Desiigner comparisons.

Since Desiigner released his hit single “Panda,” people have often confused the song with a Future track. Some have even accused him of jacking Future’s style.

While Desiigner has denied the claims, Future has pretty much remained quiet on the whole situation. But in his new cover story with Rolling Stone, the “Dirty Sprite” rapper makes it clear that he isn’t worried about Desiigner or anyone else that sounds like him.

“I never worried about anyone else … I don’t even want his name in the article,” Future said in the interview.

Future also spoke on being sued by his baby mama Ciara, him only wishing the best for her, and not being comfortable with Russell Wilson playing “daddy” with his son.

On Ciara’s lawsuit:

“I can’t deal with it. I can’t even think about it. I never imagined my life would be like that: ‘I’m going to sue you and take away from you.’ I don’t know how to deal with something like that. All I know is record, record, record, record.”

On what he wants for Ciara:

“Her being successful, her being happy, helps me. I’m attached to you. If you’re happy, I’m happy. You’re connected for life. I don’t want you to go through this shit and for it to come back on my son, my kid. I want you to be in the best situation.”

On Russell Wilson playing “daddy” with his son:

“It’s something that’ll take more time for me. It ain’t even about [him] playing daddy. I don’t even want to think about it. That’s my son forever. My son is going to be able to read this. He’s going to be able to look at those pictures. He’s going to be able to have a judgment for himself, and have a conversation with me man-to-man. That’s my blood. He is me. I am him. We is one.”

White Tears: Grey’s Anatomy Fans Call for Jesse Williams to be Fired Over His “Racist Rant at the BET Awards”

And the backlash of Jesse Williams’ powerful BET Awards speech continues. White Grey’s Anatomy fans have lost their minds that one of the show’s actors dare speak about oppression.

Critics have gone on Twitter and Facebook to express their thoughts. The official Grey’s Anatomy Facebook page has been flooded with comments since Williams’ speech. Some are threatening to boycott the long-running show if Williams isn’t fired for actually caring about black people. A Change.org petition has even been created. It has a laughable 20 signatures as of the writing of this post.

Jesse Williams spewed a racist, hate speech against law enforcement and white people at the BET awards. If this was a white person making the same speech about an African American, they would have been fired and globally chastised, as they should be, but there has been no consequences to Williams’ actions. There’s been no companies making a stand against his racist remarks and no swift action condemning his negative attitude. Why was Burke’s character fired from Grey’s Anatomy after his inappropriate homophobic slur, but nothing for Jesse Williams? Why the one-way street? Why the support for a hater? Why the hypocrisy? #AllLivesMatter All humans bleed the same color. #EqualConsequences4RacistBehavior

They’re either mad because they didn’t actually listen to what Williams said or they know the dreamy actor from their favorite show was talking about them. Williams said it best…

Although I can write a think piece on how sacred white people repeatedly try to silence black people who speak truthfully about race, justify institutional racism and inequality, while simultaneously proving Williams’ point, it’s simply not worth it. Whatever I say is just going to go in one ear and come out “reverse racism” in the other.

Boycott all they want, these Grey’s fans are going to have to stay mad because Williams isn’t going anywhere. The show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, and titular star, Ellen Pompeo, both praised Williams for his speech.

Amber Rose Tells Iggy Azalea “Now You Can Be A Hoe” After Nick Young Split

Amber Rose is taking her new role as a feminist icon to heart. Amid Iggy Azalea’s recent split with Nick Young, “Muva” herself took to Instagram to offer Iggy some sage advice.

“The great thing is it’s the beginning of the summer and now you can be a hoe!” she wrote.

I don’t know about you, but ‘’m already knocked dead. But let’s all pull it together because that’s just one line of Amber’s heartfelt message to Iggy. Amber wanted to reach out to the rapper because she understands what it’s like to have your heart broken. She also encouraged Iggy to be strong and move forward.

“My heart goes out to you @thenewclassic I have been through heartbreak as well so I know what ur going through. Stay strong and keep ur head up my Rosebuds and I support you and we think ur AMAZING!! I remember watching ur YouTube videos a few years back thinking ‘Wow this girl is gonna be a star’ and you are! Jokes aside, it’s great to see Amber supporting other women in her very special way. Iggy recently revealed she broke off her engagement to the NBA player after catching him cheat on their home security cameras. This comes off the heels of a previous cheating scandal in March and recent reports that Young’s ex is four months pregnant with their second child.

However, with Amber’s hilariously empowering words, hopefully Iggy can move on to better things and focus on her struggling career. After all, it’s the summer and anything is possible!

DJ Khaled Completely Disses Jesse Williams During Impassioned BET Awards Speech

Rude and disrespectful! That goes out to you DJ Khaled.

The producer tries so hard to be motivational and inspirational, but during Jesse Williams’ impassioned speech at the BET Awards, DJ Khaled didn’t even look up. Though we were all holding our fist in the air and shouting “power to the people,” during Williams’ speech to notice, social media caught Khaled’s lack of interest after the fact.

Throughout the speech, Khaled was busy snapchatting, tweeting, texting, or browsing the net. Some suggested he must have been taking a quick nap in order not to be moved by Williams. He even was one of the few that refused to give the Humanitarian Award recipient a standing ovation.

Khaled has become extremely popular with his “keys to success” and “They don’t want us…” advice. Yet he completely ignores someone that is literally preaching to the people. I mean, how dare you?

I honestly don’t know much about DJ Khaled. However, I have been very pleased and entertained with his positivity and desire to encourage others. But, this incident makes me question his sincerity; all of his previous actions now seem disingenuous.

Khaled seriously needs to walk-the-walk and prove himself now. Snapchatting a few inspiring lines alone is not going to cut it anymore.

Lil Boosie Fears Television Is Turning Our Children Gay

Lil Boosie is fired up over gay cartoons! In a new interview with VladTV, Boosie went off about his thoughts on homosexuality being represented on TV and in society.

Amongst his misguided views, Boosie says networks uses the gay community for monetary value and that half the population will be gay in 10 years due to the influence of television.

But he’s specifically worried about kids viewing what he presumes as homosexual content. He even went as far to say he would “slap his [son’s] ass straight” if he found out one of his sons was gay.

“They tryna make everybody fucking gay. They putting it on our culture. They’re putting it everywhere. Gay stuff is everywhere. I think that they’re just trying to do it to make a monetary gain. They’re not doing it for the gays. They’re not really fans of the gays. They’re doing it for monetary gain, man. They try to make money off these people, man.”

“You got cartoons that have gays. On Cartoons! These are kids. Let kids make their own decision if they wanna go that way. [A] six and seven year old, five year old shouldn’t be turned onto gay cartoon when their mind not even developed yet. What if they like how that cartoon talk? Now, you’re forcing them to be gay. Every TV show is gays. They’re kissing each other. It’s out of hand.”

Whew! Where do you even begin? There are just so many things wrong with this entire interview. But before I go off myself, one thing I’ve learned over the years is that you have to meet people where they are. No matter how wrong they are, Boosie’s personal opinions should be acknowledged.

I don’t know what cartoons Boosie or his kids are watching, but I’m sure gay people kissing is not a storyline covered on the average children’s program. Boosie only mentions children imitating how characters speak. Unless you base your opinion on negative stereotypes, how one speaks or talks has no impact on one’s sexuality.

Furthermore, positive representation is extremely important for all people within marginalized communities. Boosie states that homosexuality on TV was not prevalent when he went to jail in 2009.

“I came home and was like, ‘What the fuck is going on?’ I was like, ‘What the fuck is going on?’ It was out of hand, man,” he said.

Gay people on TV is not to influence others, but rather to represent and reflect our diverse society. It’s especially important for those who are ashamed of their sexuality because of thoughts like Boosie’s.

Try as he might, Boosie will fail if he thinks he can beat his hypothetical son straight. For most, it’s not a choice and there is no “gay agenda” in trying to sway young minds into “becoming gay.” Boosie says he doesn’t hate gay people, but he definitely has a peculiar way in showing it.
