Robert Yancy Cause of Death: How Did Natalie Cole’s Son Die?

Robert Yancy, the only child of the late legendary singer Natalie Cole, has died.

According to TMZ, Yancy’s body was found in his apartment in San Fernando Valley when a friend checked up on him after not hearing from him in a few days. Natalie Cole’s son was 39 years old.

Natalie Cole’s former backup singer Anita Anderson shared the sad news on Twitter Tuesday afternoon, writing: “WE HAVE LOST ANOTHER GREAT YOUNG SOUL TOO SOON!! ROBERT ADAM YANCY, NATALIE COLE’ S ONLY SURVIVING SON AND ACCOMPLISHED DRUMMER HAS DIED!!”

She added, “REST IN PEACE As YOU JOURNEY HOME WITH MOM & DAD! AND KNOW YOU’RE ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS SON!! LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU ALREADY!!!”

How did Robert Yancy die? What was Natalie Cole’s son’s cause of death?

Family members of Yancy claim that authorities contacted them around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and said he had died of a heart attack. Pending an autopsy, law enforcement sources say they have his official cause of death listed as “natural causes,” however that could change once autopsy and toxicology test are completed.

Heart disease runs in Yancy’s family. His mother Natalie Cole passed away from congestive heart failure in 2016, while his father Marvin Yancy—who was a songwriter, producer and former member of the 1970s R&B group The Independents, died of a heart attack in 1985 at the age of 34.

Yancy—born Adam Robert Yancy on October 15, 1977—was also the grandson of legendary jazz crooner Nat King Cole.

Yancy was considered a “session musician” who regularly played drums with his mother’s band while she was on tour. He also played percussion on Cole’s 1993 album Take a look and the saxophone on SWV’s 1997 album A Special Christmas.

Jackie Christie Is DONE Talking About Her Estranged Daughter Ta’Kari on “Basketball Wives”

For so long, Jackie Christie was the don diva of the L.A. version of the Basketball Wives franchise. But this season, Jackie’s crown has been rocked a bit as Evelyn Lozada returned to the fray.

The main storyline for Evelyn was that she had “interfered” with Jackie’s family by donating $3,500 to Jackie’s estranged daughter Ta’Kari’s GoFundMe for her burnt son. This donation, and Evelyn’s subsequent relationship with Ta’Kari on social media, led to Jackie going at it with Evelyn on more than one occasion on the show.

But Jackie Christie recently let VH1 know that she is DONE talking about her estranged daughter Ta’Kari on BBW.

I’m not interested in any way, shape, or form in entertaining this bogus behavior between the two of them, anymore. I really feel bad that the audience has to be bamboozled to believing all of this nonsense. I love my daughter, I’ve always made that clear, I say it throughout the show. I’ve always defended her, regardless of whatever’s going on. And after this, I am done discussing my daughter. These are not clinical doctors that can do anything. [Evelyn] is a woman that is just choosing to use [the situation] for evil intent and it’s just not cool. I feel like [Evelyn] will get over it once the season has ended and she’s had her 15-minutes.

For her part, Evelyn continues to defend her behavior, claiming that her act of charity was straight from the heart and not a ploy for attention:

Yeah, right, Evelyn. You needed a thread of drama to last you through the season because we all knew that your beef with Tami wouldn’t last for more than an episode or two. And you knew you had to match crazies with Jackie, the big crazy on BBW, so you went straight for the jugular.

And while normally, I think it’s fine to go after Jackie and treat her like a punching bag, getting involved with her daughter and her grandbaby is beyond the pale. Reality TV can get messy but this kind of family pain and betrayal is too much to be giggling about it.

Speaking of things that aren’t funny, Ta’Kari decided to show off the horrific burns her son suffered earlier this year, which Evelyn donated funds for on Instagram.

Now, I’m not saying that Ta’Kari’s stories about her mama are false or that her book, Lights to Her Shadow, is nothing more than a collection of fairytales, but I do think posting the close-ups of your son’s SEVERE burns is a sign of poor discernment and less-than-great judgment.

Jackie might be crazy but Ta’Kari is indeed troubled, and Evelyn needs to keep herself out of this mess. Here’s what Jackie had to say on the state of her relationship with Evelyn post-BBW reunion:

And as far as Evelyn goes, we have not spoken. We had some words at the reunion and I’m just very disappointed in her as a person, as a human being, as a woman but at the same time I don’t hold any malice in my heart for anybody. I am just shocked that she used something by [my daughter] that she doesn’t even know. A young girl who is struggling out there and she happens to be my daughter and using the whole thing for her own benefit, it’s very disappointing and disparaging.

I doubt Jackie can force VH1 to avoid the topic of her daughter on the show going forward. She’s no Shaunie after all. So if the ratings are up, Jackie won’t have a choice in the matter, and heck, don’t be surprised if Ta’Kari pops up next season as the newest cast member of BBW.

Trace Amounts of Weed Found in Tiger Woods’ System on Night of DUI Arrest

It’s been just over two months since Tiger Woods was arrested of a suspected DUI. Though the golf legend was not under the influence of alcohol, his toxicology report from that night has been released and suggest he may have been smoking weed.

According to TMZ, five different drugs were found in Woods’ system when he was arrested during the early hours of May 29. Along with a cocktail of painkillers, THC was also in his system, the main chemical compound in marijuana.

The report shows Tiger tested positive for Hydrocodone (painkiller, generic form of Vicodin), Hydromorphone (powerful painkiller known as Dilaudid), Alprazolam (aka Xanax), Zolpidem (sleeping pill also known as Ambien) and THC.

In a statement released following his arrest, Woods said he suffered an “unexpected reaction to prescribed medications,” but made no mention of weed.

Police found Woods passed out at the wheel of his car and noted the golf pro “had extremely slow and slurred speech.” Though he registered a 0.000 on a Breathalyzer test, he failed several field sobriety test and was taken into custody and cited for DUI.

Earlier this month Woods and his lawyers struck a deal with prosecutors in the case. He agreed to plead guilty to reckless driving and enter a DUI diversion program for first-time offenders, which requires him to complete DUI education classes. He was also given 12 months of probation.

The reckless driving conviction will be wiped from his record upon completion of the program.

Wayment. Timbaland “Confirmed” New Justin Timberlake & Britney Spears Duet?!

“Justney” still lives on?! This is apparently the nickname fans have given to 2000s super couple Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. And now, rumor has it that Justney just might reunite! Musically, of course.

Timbaland got the rumor mill going Monday (Aug. 14) when he hinted that a Britney and Justin duet is in the works. The music producer was interviewed on the set of the new competition show he judges, Boy Band!, by hosts of the relatively unknown podcast, Pop University.

The hosts, Maddie Lazer and Hannah Rowston, asked if the long-rumored “Justney” collab would actually happen. “It’s coming! New music 2018,” he said.

Lazer and Rowston made sure the producer—who has worked extensively with Justin—understood they meant Justin and Britney. “Justin and Britney and you,” the hosts said for clarification. “Yes, it’s coming. It’s coming,” Timbaland repeated with his eyes wide open and excited.

Timbaland first sparked the duet rumors in April when he “liked” several photos of both Britney and Justin. The producer was already in the recording studio with Justin at the time. Shortly thereafter, Justin re-tweeted an old tweet of his giving Britney a shout-out.

While promoting her 9th album Glory last year, Britney stated in an interview that she would love to work with Justin again. When questioned, Justin said he would be open to the idea as well. “Sure! Absolutely, absolutely. I’m accessible. Give us a call!” he told E! News.

As one of Britney’s biggest fans since 1998, I can inform you that Britney and Justin have already recorded a song together. Justin co-wrote, produced, and provided backing/additional vocals on the song, “What It’s Like to Be Me,” which was the last track on the pop princess’ 2001 album, Britney.

Interestingly, Justin co-wrote and produced the track with Wade Robson, the man Britney allegedly cheated on Justin with and caused their abrupt break-up. However, this rumor has never been confirmed.

With all that being said, I am 100% here for a Britney/Justin duet produced by Timbaland! I’m suddenly very excited music in 2018.

Karrueche Tran Claps Back at Body Shamers on Twitter: “Ya’ll Shame Natural Bodies But Praise Fake Ones”

Call it Clapback Monday, because Karrueche Tran was not here for the hate and body shaming she received yesterday (Aug. 14).

The Claws star posted a few photos of herself (in character) wearing a thong bikini over the weekend.

However, the post was met with several negative comments about her petite body. Some comments found on The Shade Room’s post on one of the bikini photos include:

“She look like a boy in his early stages of transitioning into a woman”

“She’s bonney [sic] asf nasty broom”

Awwww kahoochie [sic] need some meat on them bones hunny”

The body shaming comments were enough to force Tran to delete her photos, but she clapped back on Twitter with a strong stance. “Y’ll shame natural bodies but praise fake ones,” she wrote. “If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say it at all,” she followed up in another tweet.

Tran has posted revealing photos in the past, so it’s unclear why these particular bikini shots sparked the body shaming comments. Or maybe she’s gotten them in the past and this Twitter word for her haters was a long time coming. In any case, at least she stood up for herself and made a statement against body shaming.

Usher Denies Alleged Days Inn Hook-Up With Quantasia Sharpton Because He Only Had Eyes for Grace Miguel

Usher continues to deny he ever hooked up with his latest accuser, Quantasia Sharpton. Sources say the singer was too busy falling in love with his now-wife to hook up with groupies back in 2014.

Earlier this week, an anonymous Days Inn employee in Atlantic City came forward to reveal that she saw Usher and Sharpton together at the hotel in November 2014. She witnessed the pair after midnight on the night in question and the two presumably went to Sharpton’s room for a quick rendezvous.

People close to Usher have previously denied Sharpton’s allegations because she’s “not his type.” In response to the Days Inn staffer’s bombshell, sources are, once again, exclusively telling TMZ a hook-up never happened, because he was developing a relationship with his now-wife, Grace Miguel.

Usher tells them at the time of his alleged encounter, Grace was his manager and they spent ALL their free time together.

His people say when the two weren’t enjoying free time, it was all business, and they were inseparable. The couple got engaged less than 2 months after the alleged Days Inn tryst.

The sources also tell TMZ that the concert Sharpton attended ran late and the meet-and-greet that followed went well-past midnight, meaning the R&B singer couldn’t have been at the Days Inn when the staffer claimed.

They also say Usher was on a tight tour schedule, leaving little free-time to have secret hook-ups.

Sharpton—along with two other people—is suing the singer for exposing her to herpes without first disclosing his STD status. However, she has tested negative for the STD and her history scamming celebrities was exposed by several of her friends.

Celebs Doing Good: Bruno Mars, Chance the Rapper & Britney Spears Give Back

Something must be in the air because celebrities are feeling extra generous lately. Bruno Mars, Chance the Rapper, and Britney Spears have all recently lent a helping hand to those in need.

Mars made a surprise announcement during his concert in Detroit on Saturday night (Aug. 12). The singer announced he will be donating $1 million to aid in the ongoing water crisis in Flint, Michigan.

Mars said in a statement:

“I’m very thankful to the Michigan audience for joining me in supporting this cause. Ongoing challenges remain years later for Flint residents, and it’s important that we don’t forget our brothers and sisters affected by this disaster. As people, especially as Americans, we need to stand together to make sure something like this never happens in any community ever again.”

Proceeds from Mars’ sold-out concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills will be donated to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. In a statement, the organization said it is “honored” and “grateful” for the donation.

“We know Bruno Mars’ $1 million gift will be transformative to the children and families of Flint. He understands the issues faced by Flint citizens, and we are touched by his concern and generosity.”

The ongoing Flint Water Crisis began in 2014 when the city’s drinking water supply was switched from Detroit to the Flint River. Insufficient treatment exposed more than 100,000 residents to water with high lead levels that have been linked to Legionnaires’ disease and other health issues.

Meanwhile, also on Saturday, Chance the Rapper served as the grand marshal for Chicago’s Bud Billiken Bash, the city’s annual back-to-school parade. In connection with his non-profit, SocialWorks, the rapper passed out 30,000 bookbags packed with school supplies.

He also held a surprise free concert. “I wanted to make sure I can identify all those teachers that support our youth and build our children up, all those fathers that are out here with their families, the cornerstones of their houses, bringing their families out,” he said.

In a pre-recorded video, President Barack Obama also had an inspiring message for those who attended the concert.

“We want to make sure our kids are safe, we want to make sure that they are ready to go back to school. We want to make sure that we are nurturing and protecting and encouraging and loving the next generation of leaders all throughout the city of Chicago. So, Chance, I’m grateful for everything that you’ve done on behalf of the young people back home.”

Britney Spears has also announced that from now until the end of the year, $1 of every ticket sold of her blockbuster Las Vegas residency show will go towards public schools affected by the devastating Louisiana floods last year. Louisiana is Spears’ home state.

Spears’ Vegas show, Britney: A Piece of Me, has earned over $115 million to date and has maintained an 84% attendance record.

Lil Scrappy Launches “Operation Find the Bam” in Desperate Attempt to Win Back Bambi Benson

At this point, this has to be for a storyline or something, right?! Either way, this is so sad. Lil Scrappy is still “looking for the Bam” and has resorted to asking random strangers if they’ve seen her.

Though his ex-fiancée Bambi Benson clearly wants absolutely nothing to do with him, Scrappy is still trying to win her back. In two Instagram videos on Saturday (Aug. 12), Scrappy launched “Operation Find the Bam” while in Miami. He asked several passersby if they had seen her.

“So I’m going on a hunt right now, tryin’ find the Bam. Nah, that ain’t her. Trying to find the Bam… they say she outchea,” he said to the camera. “You still looking for her?” asked a woman sitting behind him.

In his second “Operation Find the Bam” vid, Scrappy asked several women if they had seen Bambi. However, his camera angles suggest he was interested in things other than The Bam. “I’m still looking; I can’t find her,” he concluded the video.

Earlier this week, Scrappy chose a photo of Bambi and himself as his Throwback Thursday and wrote a note begging her to take him back. “This woman I really love and miss u in my life,” he wrote. The desperate move came after he had been texting Bambi for over a month to forgive him.

Given that the Atlanta-based rapper is currently in Miami and rumored to be joining the cast of Love & Hip Hop Miami, I’m beginning to wonder if this Bambi nonsense is part of his storyline. Mona really got this man out here looking foolish and desperate.

And the gag is, Bambi ain’t even thinking about the dude!

Starz Threatens Legal Action Against Whoever Leaked Those “Power” Episdoes

Starz is playing no games with the person who leaked the final three episodes of Power Season 4.

As we previously reported, on Tuesday (Aug. 8) someone took it upon themselves to share the Power Season 4 finale as well a the two episodes leading up to it (Episodes 8, 9 and 10) on Facebook, spoiling a number of major events and plot-twisters.

Starz has since responded to the leak with an official statement and threats of legal action.

“The final three episodes of Power’s fourth season were leaked online due to a breach of the press screening room,” said Starz in a statement Wednesday. “This seems to be a case of password sharing that resulted in homemade videos of the episodes which were taped off a TV screen and posted online. Starz has begun forensic investigations and will take legal action against the responsible parties.”

It shouldn’t be that hard for Starz to find the culprit, considering, not only can his voice be heard in the leaked footage, but midway through one of the videos, he turns the camera around and shows his face. See here:

Power airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on Starz, though some of your Facebook friends watch it on OnDemand, which usually has the week’s episode up by Sunday morning at 12 a.m. midnight. And they’re going to spoil it on Facebook (if they haven’t already due to the leak), so watch it as soon as you can.

Hotel Staffer Says Usher Can’t Deny Hooking Up with Quantasia Sharpton Because She Saw It Go Down

A woman is coming forward to defend “Quantasia the Scammer,” the woman suing Usher for exposing her to herpes even though she doesn’t have herpes.

The person in Quantasia Sharpton’s corner contacted TMZ to say that she knows for a fact that Usher and Sharpton hooked up because she saw it! She spilled some tea that actually checks out.

The unidentified witness says she was working at a Days Inn in Atlantic City in 2014 when she saw Usher walk into the hotel’s lobby just after midnight on November 16. She asked the singer for a picture, but he declined, promising to take one later. She then watched Sharpton come down to greet Usher and the two presumably went to Sharpton’s hotel room together.

After witnessing the initial encounter between the two, the woman says she waited for an hour take the picture Usher promised, but he never returned.

In her news conference with lawyer Lisa Bloom on Monday (Aug. 7), Sharpton claimed that she met Usher at one of his concert’s while celebrating her 19th birthday. Well, we found some pictures and video footage of Sharpton and August Alsina, who was Usher’s opening act at the time.

The pic with her birthday tiara (above, on the right) was taken November 15, 2014, which coincides with a concert Usher had in Atlantic City and Sharpton’s late October birthday; she is now 21.

The Days Inn hotel where Sharpton and Usher allegedly hooked up is one mile away from the concert venue. Sources also tell TMZ that Sharpton did, in fact, stay at the hotel the night of the Usher/August concert.

The Days Inn employee told TMZ she was coming forward with what she witnessed because she was “offended” by remarks from Usher’s camp that suggested he would never have sex with Sharpton because she isn’t his type due to her weight.

Sharpton, along with two other people, are jointly suing Usher for engaging in sexual contact with them without first informing them he had herpes. However, Sharpton’s credibility has been called into question because she admits to not having the STD and several of her friends exposed her as someone who as “finessed” celebrities in the past, including August Alsina, who she once reportedly claimed was her baby daddy.

Maria Sharapova Gives Lame Excuse About Why She Hasn’t Beaten Serena Williams in 13 Years in New Memoir

Maria Sharapova is struggling to bounce back after her 15-month suspension for abusing a banned substance. So, to remain relevant, she has written a book and discusses her failure to beat the legend Serena Williams more than twice during their one-sided 13-year rivalry.

The five-time Grand Slam winner has written a memoir Unstoppable: My Life So Far, which chronicles her time at the prestigious Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, her 2016 suspension and 2017 return, and of course, Serena Williams.

Though the book will be released in September, she provided People exclusive excerpts and reveals the ridiculous reason she believes there is so much animosity between she and Serena. According to Sharapova, Serena has vowed never to lose against her because she’s skinny and once saw Serena cry.

Sharapova writes in part:

I think Serena hated me for being the skinny kid who beat her, against all odds, at Wimbledon. But mostly I think she hated me for hearing her cry. Not long after the tournament, I heard Serena told a friend – who then told me – “I will never lose to that little bitch again.”

In the excerpt, Sharapova recounts first beating Serena at the 2004 Wimbledon final. Serena showed sportsmanship with a smile, a hug, and told the newbie “good job.” But Sharapova believes it was this stunning upset that sparked their rivalry because she later saw Serena in the locker room “bawling.”

“Guttural sobs. I got out as quickly as I could, but she knew I was there,” she writes.

Sharapova’s record against Serena is currently 2-19, last beating her in 2004.

Serena Williams is obviously the GOAT: there’s really no debating this. It’s time for Sharapova to just admit that Serena is simply the better player of the two. Even now, a pregnant Serena hasn’t played a match since January and is still ranked No. 15 in the world. Meanwhile, Sharapova has yet to win a tournament since her April return and is ranked all the way down at No. 149 – yikes!

When Serena announced her pregnancy, there were even jokes on social media that her baby had won more Grand Slams (in 2017) than Sharapova as Serena was at least two months pregnant when she won the Australian Open in January, her 23rd Glam Slam title overall.

Cardi B Becomes Highest Charting Solo Female Rapper Since Nicki Minaj

Cardi B is not just making money moves, she’s making chart moves, too. The Bronx rapper’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow” continues to climb the Billboard Hot 100 and she’s coming for Nicki Minaj (chart-wise, of course).

As reported on Friday (Aug. 11), “Bodak Yellow” is currently holding the No. 14 spot on the Hot 100 list. This is a jump from charting at No. 28 the previous week. It has appeared on the chart for five weeks.

The song’s chart also success makes Cardi the highest charting female rapper on a solo track since Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” in 2014, which peaked at No. 2. Minaj has sat on the throne as the top-selling female rapper in the game for a while now, but Cardi seems to be on the fast track to getting her own crown.

However, we don’t expect any rap beefs between the two NY women just yet. They recently followed each other on Instagram and Cardi was just brought onstage by Nicki’s good friends and possible new boo, Drake, during OVO Fest last week. So, Cardi already has the Young Money stamp of approval.

“Bodak Yellow” is making an impact on other charts as well, including landing at No. 8 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs and No. 18 on iTunes. Via Billboard.com:

The tune leaps 13-6 on Streaming Songs (24.5 million U.S. streams in the week ending Aug. 3, according to Nielsen Music, up 56 percent), rises 35-20 on Digital Song Sales (22,000 sold according to Nielsen Music, up 39 percent) and nears Radio Songs (22 million in audience, up 54 percent).

The former stripper and Love & Hip Hop star is certainly glowing up and it’s only the beginning!

Kenya Moore Wishes Husband Marc Daly a Happy Birthday on Instagram, Kim Zolciak Posts Shady Comment

Well it’s about time! In a rare social media move, Kenya Moore has finally given the people what they want: A crystal clear picture of her new husband, Marc Daly.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star shocked us when she announced she was married in June. We’ve seen some pics of Daly, but because of poor lighting, grainy photos, strategic angles, or shots taken from a distance, we’ve never really gotten a good look at Kenya’s fella — until now!

On Friday (Aug. 11), Kenya wished her husband a happy birthday on Instagram and shared a photo of the two together. She wrote:

“Happy Birthday to my husband my one and only my everything. -Your wife for life #MrsDaly”

Kenya and Daly tied the knot during a private (and secret) ceremony in St. Lucia in June. The two have been dating since December 2016, but actually met over a year ago. Daly is the owner of southern fusion restaurant, SoCo, in Brooklyn and previously worked in finance.

Though I hate to kill the vibe, there is one person who wants to rain on the happy couple’s parade. Even though you can’t comment on Kenya’s photo with her husband, her RHOA nemesis Kim Zolciak-Biermann had to add her two cents. She wrote “Lies” in the comment section of The Shade Room’s post about the photo.

Kenya an Kim are reportedly feuding with each other as they film the 10th season of RHOA. The two recently got into a heated confrontation after Kim insinuated Kenya’s marriage is fake and Kenya shot back by talking about Kim’s kids, which caused Kim’s daughter Brielle Biermann to call Kenya a “dumb ugly evil bitch” on Twitter.

See, this is exactly why Marc Daly reportedly wants nothing to do with Real Housewives of Atlanta. Hopefully, the newlyweds won’t let Kim steal their joy.

Cardi B Claps Back on Twitter After Being Dragged for Calling Black Women “Roaches”

Build you up, to break you down—that’s the name of the game. Just when Cardi B thought she had a surefire shot to the top of pop culture (thanks to the recent popularity and success of her new single “Bodak Yellow”) she was brought back down to life after being dragged on Twitter over a number of old tweets folks deemed racist and transphobic.

The other day, a Twitter user and former Cardi B fan (@WokeMutant) took it upon himself dig up old tweets in a Twitter thread that he has dubbed “Thread of Cardi B. calling dark-skinned black women roaches.”

In the thread, a series of clap-backs can be found to and from Cardi over the past year or so. Some of tweets have been deleted, but we salvaged some screenshots—because the Internet is forever! Nonetheless, the thread details a series of unfortunate of events that have called some of Cardi’s commentary into question.

R. Kelly Not Being Investigated by Georgia County D.A. Despite Claims of New Evidence in Sex Cult Allegations

R. Kelly is still in the clear, for now. Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard confirms there is no investigation into the singer regarding allegations he’s holding several women against their will in his Atlanta home.

Though the DA’s sex trafficking division does have a file on the allegations, Howard said on Friday (Aug. 11) the office has no immediate plans to investigate the matter. He told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

“We are not currently investigating Mr. Kelly… We will review (the file) and confer with the Johns Creek policemen after our evaluation and proceed appropriately…

“Today there is no investigation. What we received is some information. Information that (police) might send on any citizen. We will look at it and make an evaluation. The evaluation might be that they need to do some more work.”

Howard’s announcement comes hours after Fulton County Chairman John Eaves called for an investigation due to new evidence uncovered by Johns Creek police. Eaves—who is also currently running for mayor of Atlanta—held a press conference on Friday. He stated in part:

“A detailed local investigation by the John Creek Police Department has provided key information that we believe is enough evidence that gives the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office all it needs to advance a criminal investigation of the well-known allegations.

“Today, I am asking District Attorney Paul Howard and his investigative officers and prosecutors to fully review the report of the Johns Creek Police and follow every lead—no matter where it leads, or who it implicates, and bring those persons to swift justice.

“No one should be above the law, because of their income or their zip code. And we will not allow our young girls and young women to be preyed upon by predators or anyone who aims to brainwash and strip them of their human dignity and their right to be free.”

However, the Johns Creek Police Department is contradicting Eaves’ claim. “There is no new evidence in the closed investigation,” JCPD Lt. Chris Byers said on Friday. Byers did confirm the department has handed over the file on the matter to the DA’s office.

“We gave them everything (we) had,” Byers said. “We let them know what was going on due to the high-profile nature of the incident and figured they would be getting calls about it.”

Fulton County DA Paula Howard said he felt it was inappropriate for Eaves to speak to the media about the case in the first place. Sources tell TMZ R. Kelly is “outraged” at the mayoral candidate’s call for an investigation and believe he is only doing so for his own personal gain.

“The allegations against Mr. Kelly are false and ill-motived. He again denies any and all wrongdoing,” read a statement released by an R. Kelly spokesperson following Eaves press conference.

Mariah Carey’s Ex-Choreographer Anthony Burrell Explains Diva’s Recent Performance Fails: “She Gives Zero F**ks”

So, what’s going on with Mariah Carey? By now, we’ve all seen the viral video of Mariah barely going through motions, let alone “Emotions.” The diva’s former choreographer is giving us a little insight as to why she’s checked out during recent performances and he says Mariah just doesn’t give a fuck anymore.

In an interview with Complex, Mariah’s former lead choreographer and creative director Anthony Burrell—who has worked a number of big name artists like Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Brandy, just to name a few—says his former boss’ star quality is fading because she simply no longer wants to be onstage.

“It’s just typical Mariah. Mariah is clear: when she doesn’t wanna do something, she doesn’t do it. She’s performing with lackluster and no fucks given, and it’s taking away her star.”

Burrell worked for Mariah for four years before abruptly being fired shortly after the singer’s disastrous New Year’s Rockin’ Eve performance (if you can even call it that) in December 2016. He says it was somewhat of a challenge working the diva because she’s a singer first and foremost, not a dancer. Yet, he attempted to push her out of her comfort zone.

“Working with an artist like Mariah, who’s not a mover first, it’s always a challenge to get them to think physically and not just vocally. You always have to keep in mind that they’re a singer first. The priority is not teaching them 100 counts of 8, or endless routines.

“I wanted to give Mariah a modern push to revamp her, give her a fresher, more modern feel, make her more aware of her body and her lines, and not look like her feet hurt when she’s walking.”

Over time, Mariah came to trust Burrell and his creative/artistic vision. However, since parting ways in January, Burrell believes Mariah no longer has a team of people she can trust or that even has her best interests at heart.

“You’re a legend, but you don’t care, your team doesn’t care. They’re not guiding and directing her. She’s back to where she was before. It’s not like she’s never looked this bad before; I just stepped her game up.”

In fact, Burrell candidly revealed that Mariah’s team has been failing her for quite some time.

“It felt like they were so new at their jobs, and had no direction. When you’re green, you’re playing things by trial and error, and there were a lot of errors. I was very vocal about things that weren’t right.

When you try to take a shortcut and you don’t know the clues, you’re bound to get f**ked up or screwed, because you don’t have the experience of running a tour or a billion-dollar empire. Some of the dancers her team hired are great dancers, but they’re not choreographers or creative directors.”

Mariah completed her Vegas residency at Caesars Palace over the summer and is currently embarking on her All the Hits tour with Lionel Richie.

Even in her prime, Mariah wasn’t giving Beyoncé-type choreography, but what she did serve was vocals. Nowadays, it seems like she even phones that in and her Lambs definitely deserve more.

If we take into consideration the tea Burrell just spilt, maybe our favorite diva hasn’t lost the joy of performing, but just needs a better team to guide her. And a break to recharge wouldn’t hurt either.

Lil Scrappy Continues to Beg for Bambi’s Forgiveness, Pens Desperate Love Note on Instagram

Lil Scrappy is still begging like a little puppy dog. Despite being broken up for several months, the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star is still pining for his ex-fiancée, Bambi Benson… on social media!

Scrappy chose a photo from the couple’s happier times as his #TBT on Thursday (Aug. 10). He then wrote a heartfelt love note to his “best friend” and “ol lady” in a desperate attempy to win Bambi back.

It’s no mystery why Scrappy added “this is not a text” in his IG post, because this is not the first time he has attempted to woo Bambi back. In July, Bambi put her LHHATL love interest on blast by posting several private text messages he sent her on Instagram.

The texts—which occurred between June and July—show Scrappy desperately begging for forgiveness and asking Bambi to speak to him. Bambi told him she moved on and then began ignoring him. But after growing tired of him blowing up her phone, she exposed him on social media.

Bambi hasn’t responded to Scrappy’s latest effort to win her back, so far. However, her latest post on the Gram suggests she’s not interested. “Don’t bae me … #PayMe,” she writes.

Black Twitter Drags Brandy for Claiming Whitney Houston Passed the Torch to Her Before Her Passing

Did you know that Whitney Houston personally chose Brandy to carry her legacy? We didn’t either, but that didn’t stop the singer from claiming so on Instagram.

Brandy spent Wednesday (Aug. 9) honoring Whitney, who would have turned 54 today. The singer posted three tributes on Instagram, all in which Brandy practically bragged about her relationship with the icon. However, it was Brandy’s claim that Whitney passed the torch to her that got social media’s attention.

“Happy Born Day Whitney. You live on in me… I can feel your Spirit inside of me and all around me. My angel, my friend, my fairy God Mother. I love you forever… thank you for trusting me with the torch!” she wrote in one of the tributes.

Apparently, because Whitney’s untimely passing in February 2012 happened on Brandy’s own birthday (Feb. 11), she took it as a sign that Whitney chose her to carry on her legacy. She explained in the comment section of The Jasmine Brand’s IG post about Brandy’s Whitney tributes:

Don’t project your petty on me… she passed the torch when she passed on my birthday. I have a duty to do what she asked me to do and not anyone else. No one knows what we talked about and no one knows what the note said but she gave it to me and I made her a promise!

Though Brandy is an incredible vocalist, she will never claim Whitney’s title of “The Voice.” And I know for damn sure we didn’t ask her to carry Whitney’s torch.

Even if (and that’s a big if) Whitney sent Brandy a special note before her passing, Brandy should keep statements like this to herself. Otherwise, she’s just going to get dragged by Black Twitter over and over again.

Brandy Celebrates Whitney Houston’s Birthday by Insinuating the Icon Loved Her More Than Monica (Again)

Today is what would have been the late great Whitney Houston’s 54th birthday.

While many remembered and paid tribute to the iconic singer we lost too soon, Brandy took the moment to remind us (again) that she was closer to Nippy than anybody in the world, including you, Monica.

To honor Whitney’s birthday, Brandy posted three tributes today (Wed, Aug. 9) on Instagram, which all were Brandy basically bragging about her relationship with the legendary singer. The first post featured a collage of Brandy and Whitney together. She wrote:

The second tribute featured videos of Brandy singing Whitney’s “Greatest Love of All.” Using the singer’s nickname, Brandy recalled how she used to imitate “Nippy’s” mannerisms. However, she stopped after Whitney advised Brandy to just be herself. She wrote in part:

Brandy’s third and final post was less self-involved and more typical for a tribute to a late friend. “Happy Birthday #WhitneyHouston. The Greatest of All Time!!!! You left your mark by touching every soul that has ever heard you sing!” she wrote.

Brandy’s three IG Whitney tributes came hours after rival Monica posted her own tribute on Instagram. “Happy Heavenly Birthday Nippy … You still inspire many & touch hearts daily… You will forever be the greatest …. You will forever be missed,” Monica wrote.

Brandy has long claimed that her relationship with Whitney was deeper than Monica’s was. When social media saw Brandy’s three posts (which occurred after Monica’s), many felt the singer was, once again, going out of her way to one-up Monica and was unnecessarily trying to prove something.

Responding to the backlash, Brandy posted a comment on The Jasmine Brand’s Instagram post about her Whitney Tributes, even writing she doesn’t follow “oh girl,” referring to Monica. She wrote in part:

You’re silly to think I am petty..the message to me is petty like y’all know me!!! Don’t project your petty on me… she passed the torch when she passed on my birthday. I have a duty to do what she asked me to do and not anyone else. No one knows what we talked about and no one knows what the note said but she gave it to me and I made her a promise!

So you, your faves, and your followers can sit down somewhere and I don’t follow oh girl so I don’t know what she post, or posted. Whitney loved us both so I don’t see the competition or the comparison. But truth is, I was closer to Whitney and that means a lot to me.

Oh, girl, please let it go! We all know Brandy had a special relationship with Whitney Houston, but it’s high-time for her to stop being so petty and let Nippy rest in peace.

Usher Denies Sexing Quantasia Sharpton: “She’s Not My Type”

Usher says he DID NOT have sexual relations with Quantasia Sharpton.

Quantasia Sharpton (aka “Quantasia The Scammer“) is one of three alleged victims—two women and a man—suing Usher for failing to disclose that he had herpes before they allegedly had sex.

During a press conference Monday morning (Aug. 7), Sharpton claimed that Usher hand picked her out from the crowd at a concert and had sex with her.

“After the show, my friends and I returned to the hotel. I got a call from Usher on a blocked number, asking me what hotel I was staying in and the room number. About an hour later, he arrived. We spoke for a while, and then we engaged in sexual contact. He never warned me about any STDs.”

The 21-year-old said she first found out Usher allegedly has herpes a few weeks ago after it was reported the singer paid a woman $1.1 million in 2012 for infecting her with the incurable STD without disclosing her status before sexual contact.

Although Sharpton, who is a mother now, tested negative for herpes, she said she felt as though her rights were violated. Sharpton said the reports were upsetting to her because she “never would have consented” had she known about him allegedly having herpes, which is why she’s suing.

But, according to sources close to Usher, all of this is a big fat lie (no pun intended) because Quantasia is NOT his type. While Usher has yet to respond to the herpes allegations and Quantasia’s press conference, he has discussed the situation with close friends and industry associates.

One insider told TMZ that while Usher may have pulled her up on stage (and he doesn’t remember whether he did or not), he “absolutely didn’t hook up with her.”

TMZ’s report explained why Usher may have brought Sharpton onstage:

As for why he may have picked Sharpton out of the crowd and brought her onstage, the sources say Usher “looks to bring a diverse group of people up onstage, not just supermodels.” One source says he believes it’s “an esteem booster” to choose various people Usher sees in the audience and single them out.

After her big press conference, Quantasia was exposed as a fraud/scammer by her “friends” on Facebook. According to one friend, Sharpton has a history of “finessing” celebrity men, including August Alsina and Kirko Bangz.

Sharpton’s friends also claimed that she had previously lied about being pregnant, having cancer and claimed a celebrity was her baby daddy. “We never saw that baby ever!” one of her friends exclaimed.

TMZ also came across something Quantasia posted on Facebook suggesting that she might be scheming against Usher.

A week before her press conference, she wrote on Facebook that she was in need of money. “Enjoying my last couple of hours a a regular girl,” she said in another post.

Meanwhile, amid all of this drama, there are reports floating around that Usher may not even have herpes and he’s putting together a lawsuit against his accusers and their lawyers as we speak.
