LHHATL’s Spice Apologized to Tokyo Vanity for Fat-Shaming Her, But Twitter Was NOT Tryna Hear It

On last week’s episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Tokyo Vanity almost beat the fawk out of Spice during what what was supposed to be a peaceful brunch after the latter had the nerve … the AUDACITY … to try and come for her weight.

The beef between Tokyo and Spice started when Spice went out on a date with Tokyo’s ex boyfriend Tabius, and when the two came face-to-face at brunch (thanks to Mimi and Sierra), all hell broke loose when Spice started throwing multiple jabs at Tokyo’s weight.

Mimi was all “Tokyo this is Spice, our friend, Spice this is Tokyo, our friend… We’re ALL FRIENDS HERE” and when Sierra mentioned how they were going to eat, that’s when the fat-shaming from Spice started. “I don’t think she wants nothing else to eat, trust me,” she said with a smirk.

When Tokyo attempted to settle their dispute by telling Spice her issue wasn’t with her, it was with Tabius (who posted her on his “InstaSnap” i.e. Instagram Stories the night before, btw) but Spice continued to get loud with Tokyo, and she wasn’t there for that. So, as Tokyo proceeded to get up, she pulled a Sierra and threw her handbag at Spice.

She missed because Spice was quick to duck, but the fact that it took a whole team of security to stop Tokyo from jumping on Spice lets us all know who would have won that fight. Tokyo was escorted out of the restaurant and was clearly pissed. She said she’s trying to be a better person and doesn’t want to be out here “fighting these hoes.”

After the episode aired, Twitter dragged Spice for filth because, in case you didn’t already know, Tokyo is a fan favorite of the show. So they didn’t appreciate Ms. Jamaica coming for their girl like that. And when I say they went in, THEY WENT ALL THE WAY IN. See some of the responses below:

https://twitter.com/KissMY_FLAWNESS/status/1003794040020783104

You see what I mean? BRUTAL.

So after spending most of the day getting dragged all over Twitter, Spice wrote a long apology on Instagram along with a recent photo of the two to show that all is well between them. She called their prior altercation “officially the most horrific situation I’ve watched on TV.”

She added: “I’m so disappointed in myself for doing the exact same thing I promised myself that I wouldn’t do. Watching back Myself fighting on Tv has left me with deep despondency. Even tho I heard that disrespectful remarks was passed about me behind my back. Leaving me to think she was throwing shade i said I’m gonna throw the whole tree when I met her. With that being said It still doesn’t justify the fact that I was so wrong to comment on her weight.”

Peep the full apology below:

You would think with an apology like that, Spice would be forgiven by the Twitter draggers… but nope. That’s not how it works. Once Twitter gets to dragging, they usually keep the dragging going, especially when you come for their faves.

Actor Jackson Odell of “iCarly” and “The Goldbergs” Dead at 20

Jackson Odell—a songwriter and former teen actor best known for his roles on TV shows “iCarly” and “The Goldbergs”—has died at the age of 20 years old.

According to TMZ, Odell “was found unresponsive in a sober living home” in the San Fernando Valley in California, and “there were no signs of foul play.”

As for his cause of death, that has yet to be determined, however, since he was found dead in a sober living home, it is assumed he died as the result of a drug or alcohol overdose.

Jackson’s family said in a statement: “The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell. He will always be a shining light and a brilliant, loving and talented soul. He had so much more to share. Our family will always carry that truth forward. Our wish is that the rest of the world does as well. We are now going to try to make sense of our immeasurable loss privately.”

Odell had been acting since he was 12 years old and his credits included a recurring role on the ABC sitcom The Goldbergs as popular student Ari Caldwell. He also appeared in several episodes of the Nickelodeon comedy iCarly, and was featured in two episodes of the hit ABC series Modern Family as Ted Durkas. Jackson also landed a big screen role in the 2011 children’s movie “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.”

In addition to acting, Jackson was also successful singer/songwriter. Most recently, he had written several songs for the soundtrack of the 2018 movie “Forever Your Girl,” including the Lauren Alaina hit “Wings of an Angel.”

WATCH: 21 Savage Pulls Out Gun During Fight at Pool Party in Atlanta

Video footage has surfaced showing 21 Savage brandishing a pistol during a recent pool party.

While 21 Savage seems like he’s been moving away from the streets in recent times, it looks like he’s still one step away from reminding the world he’s still about that thug life.

According to TMZ, 21 and his crew were attending an annual pool party in Atlanta officially dubbed the “Big Ass Pool Party” when suddenly a large group of people crashed the event.

After one of the party crashers hurled an insult at a girl in 21’s group, all hell broke loose. The video from the hectic scene shows people throwing blows, with one man getting laid out in the grass.

In response to the man getting knocked out, one of the crashers reportedly pulled out a weapon, which prompted 21 to get his gun too. In the video clip, you can actually see 21 walk over to his friend wearing a satchel and take the revolver from him.

WATCH HERE:

Thankfully, no shots were fired and no one was seriously injured, other than the guy who got knocked out, of course. Cops eventually arrived and shut the party down. No arrests were made, according to reports.

This video is a far cry from the 21 Savage we’ve been hearing about recently. In response to the Pusha T and Drake Beef, Savage mimicked Rodney King’s sentiments, calling for rappers to just get along and “kill all this beef.”

He also delivered some helpful financial advice to his fellow rappers, advising them to invest their money and give back to underprivileged communities instead of buying a bunch of jewelry. He said in an interview with Vogue, “Ever since I’ve been saving money and not spending it on jewelry, I’ve been getting way richer.”

Jamaican Lottery Winner Wears Emoji Mask to Collect Million-Dollar Check

A Jamaican lottery winner went all out to make sure no distant cousins bothered her as she collected her multi-million dollar check. In what has become a viral moment, the lottery winner showed up wearing an emoji mask.

Identified only as N. Gray, the woman received her $1 million (USD) giant check from Supreme Ventures Limited on June 5th at the Spanish Court Hotel in St. Andrew, Jamaica. She wore the yellow wink-face emoji mask for privacy and out of fear she might be robbed.

Jamaican lottery winners often wear disguises due to high crime rates. Simone Clarke-Cooper, assistant vice-president of Group Corporate Communications at Supreme Ventures Limited explained:

“Unfortunately, Jamaica is not like other markets. In other markets, they don’t necessarily do it, but here I think they opt to do it to keep themselves safe. We are not going to tell them not to do that because their safety is of paramount importance to us as well.”

Gray won the regional Super Lotto jackpot drawing on May 8th. She won $180 million in Jamaican dollars, which is the equivalent of $1 million USD. Gray plans to treat herself with the winnings, but also wants to help the youth in her community.

“I am elated, because I was drowning in debt. I started buying Super Lotto in January… Now [that] I’ve won, I want to clear my debt, invest and I want to do some traveling. I would like to construct a community center for the youths in my community, so they can engage in something productive; somewhere where they can do information technology.”

USA lotto winners have also begun to urge courts to allow them to conceal their identities as they collect their large payouts. A winner of a $560 million drawing recently brought the issue to court in February, and a judge ruled that she would be able to keep her identity a secret when she collected her earnings.

Chicago Rapper “T Streetz” Killed: Friend of ZackTV Accused of Setting Up His Murder Reportedly Shot Dead

An up-and-coming rapper out of Chicago who was close friends with Zachary “ZackTV” Stoner was reportedly killed this weekend, and many believe it was because of allegations that he had something to do with Zack Stoner’s murder.

According to internet reports, Chicago rapper “T Streetz” (not to be confused with Young Money rapper T Streets) was gunned down in the city late Friday night (Jun. 8). The shooting apparently happened after T Streetz went to police to clear his name after people online were accusing him of setting up ZackTV’s murder.

RELATED: Fast Facts About Zachary “ZackTV” Stoner, Chicago YouTube Vlogger Killed in Drive-By Shooting

Zachary Stoner, a YouTube vlogger who ran a popular channel called “Zack TV,” which was considered the “Hood CNN,” was shot and killed in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood on Wednesday, May 30th. Police said the 30-year-old was driving his jeep around 1:30 a.m. when a driver of another vehicle pulled up beside his car and fired a number of shots.

Zack was shot in the head and neck before he hit a curb and crashed into a light pole. He was rushed to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, where he later died of his injuries. Friends said Zack had just left a rap concert at Refuge—a nightclub less than a half a mile away from the scene of the shooting.

Video footage showing the shooting’s aftermath was posted on social media. A man could be heard frantically shouting “Let’s go!” as several others ran from a damaged Chevy Caprice to a third car that was on the scene, which drove away.

Police still haven’t identified the suspected the shooter(s) and are still piecing together evidence to help find out who was responsible for Zack’s murder. But internet sleuths who felt like they already had the answers pinned the crime on Zack’s friend T Streetz.

Zack and Streetz worked closely together setting up and conducting interviews with rappers in Chicago for ZackTV. Last week, people started accusing T Streetz of somehow being involved with Zack’s murder.

A number of prominent Chicago internet personalities were claiming on social media that T Streetz was one of the men in the video (above) seen fleeing the scene after Zack was killed, however, there has been no solid evidence to support those claims.

But when Zack’s mom, Yolanda Jones, went on Facebook calling someone out for setting Zack up, the rumor mill went into overdrive, with many assuming she was referring to T Streetz.

Hours before he was killed, T Streetz went to a police station in Chicago in an effort to clear his name, and he documented the visit with a Facebook Live recording.

In the video, he called out so-called “internet detectives” for accusing him of setting up Zack TV’s murder, which he adamantly denied. It is believed that the Facebook Live video led T Streetz’ killers right to him, because later that night, he was murdered.

Another video posted on YouTube purports to show the scene where police found T Streetz body early Saturday morning after he was gunned down the night before.

According to the Chicago Tribune, at least five people were killed in shootings between Friday night and early Saturday morning, and this part of their report appears to describe T Streetz murder:

Officers responding to a call of a person down about 6:10 a.m. in Bronzeville found a man unresponsive in the 4500 block of South Champlain Avenue. He had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead, police said. Detectives in Area Central are investigating.

It is believed that this photo shows T Streetz’ lifeless body on the sidewalk under a white sheet while police survey the scene for evidence:

Coincidentally, Zack Stoner’s funeral was held Saturday in Chicago.

This is a developing story and we will update this article as more details emerge…

Phaedra Parks Hasn’t Visited Apollo Nida in Prison in 2 Years, Kids “Rarely” Get to See Him + Apollo’s Fiancée Sherien Almufti Celebrates Their 4-Year Anniversary

Phaedra Parks divorced Apollo Nida and hasn’t looked in the rearview mirror since. A new report says Phaedra has not gone to visit the locked-up Apollo in two years and the ex-couple’s two young sons “rarely” see their father.

According to Radar Online, a source exclusively tells the site that Phaedra has not traveled to Fort Dix Federal Correctional Facility in New Jersey to visit Apollo in nearly two years. “The kids rarely see Apollo – it is just too hard on them,” the source says.

The reactions by Ayden, 8, and Dylan, 5, the last time Phaedra took them to the prison may have been a factor in her decision to stop the visits. “[They] cried for three days,” the source claimed. “Phaedra does not want to put them through that.”

However, Apollo does talk to his children on the phone regularly.

“Apollo calls Phaedra every day or every other day to speak to the boys. It is 100 percent all about the kids at this point. If the boys have seen their father, it was not with Phaedra.”

But it seems Phaedra is doing all that she can to make sure her children are happy, despite the circumstances. She recently took the two boys on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas for their birthdays. She shared several photos from the vacation on social media.

Meanwhile, even while incarcerated, Apollo continues to find love after Phaedra. He and his fiancée, Sherien Almufti, just celebrated their 4-year anniversary. Sherien posted a throwback photo on IG to acknowledge the milestone.

“Almost four years ago. Although it was a very sad day for us because you were leaving for a while. We will remain strong. I’m still here as I said I would be and I’m not going anywhere!!!! Love you to the core baby.”

Apollo and Sherien began dating in 2014—while he was still legally married to Phaedra—and became engaged in 2016. The former Atlanta Housewife knew her husband was cheating, says Radar’s source. “That is why she did not care when he went to jail,” the tipster said. “He got caught in so many lies and she was over it.”

Apollo is currently serving an eight-year sentence for money fraud. His expected released date is August 29, 2020.

VIDEO: Omar Gooding Screams Homophobic Slurs During Heated Argument at Las Vegas Pizza Restaurant

Apparently waiting too long for pizza unleashes the raging homophobia hidden deep with Omar Gooding.

The actor dropped several f-bombs, including the homophobic slur, during a heated argument with an alleged off-duty cop in Las Vegas. And it was all caught on camera.

The incident took place at around 3 am Saturday morning (June 9) at a food court/bar area in Vegas. A very hungry and impatient Gooding became frustrated that his pizza order was taking so long and witnesses say he began “degrading” an employee. A man who claimed to be a cop/federal agent then intervened in an attempt to calm Cuba Gooding Jr.’s younger brother.

Unfortunately, the man also found himself on receiving end of Gooding’s wrath. The Smart Guy alum verbally attacked the man, called him the homophobic f-word twice and a “retard.” He also repeatedly challenged the “cop” to actually arrest him. The two eventually parted ways as security arrived to defuse the situation.

“By no means am I a hater or homophobic,” Gooding later told TMZ. He apologized for his offensive words but added, “who wouldn’t be a little impatient?” after waiting for food so late at night.

“My apologies for the offensive language, but that does not define who I am … we calmly communicated, worked it out and all was forgiven.”

He said that all parties involved in the screaming match apologized and walked away. Though security got involved, there was no arrests or complaints filed.

Did Anthony Bourdain Kill Himself Because His Girlfriend Asia Argento Was Cheating On Him?

Anthony Bourdain was found dead in his hotel room in France early Friday morning (Jun. 8) after killing himself.

According to reports, Bourdain’s good friend, chef Eric Ripert, was the one who discovered his body. The two were in France shooting for Bourdain’s CNN show Parts Unknown. French authorities have confirmed that Bourdain’s method of suicide was by hanging himself with his bathrobe’s belt.

We know when Anthony Bourdain died, we know how he died, and we know where he died. But one question still remains. Why did he choose to end his own life?

RELATED: Fast Facts About Anthony Bourdain’s Girlfriend Asia Argento

Bourdain was in a relationship with Italian actress Asia Argento at the time of his death. The couple started dating in early 2017 and went public with their romance in September 2017 on the red carpet of the annual Creative Arts Emmys in Los Angeles.

Before dating Argento, Bourdain was married twice. His first marriage, to a woman named Nancy Putkoski, lasted 20 years, between 1985 and 2005. He married again two years later to Ottavia Busia, with whom he had his first and only child, a now 11-year-old daughter named Ariane.

Bourdain and Busia divorced in 2016, just one year before they would celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, due to his extensive work schedule, which required him to travel at least 250 days out of the year. Coincidentally, that’s the same reason his first marriage didn’t work out.

RELATED: Fast Facts About Anthony Bourdain’s First Ex-Wife Nancy Putkoski

But his last relationship, with Asia Argento, was different. Because she was an actress, she understood the high demands of Hollywood.

Argento reportedly lives in Vigna Clara, which is north of Rome. She and Bourdain both loved to work, which is something they had in common. Bourdain explained to People, “We both work a lot and we’re both away from home a lot so we’re both circus freaks in the same circus—or different circuses I guess. He continued, “I’m a person who likes being busy, I need a project always. I’m not a person, obviously, who’s happy being idle for too long. I like waking up with things to do. I have a restless, creative mind.”

Bourdain said in a separate interview with People, “This woman likes to work. She is strong, independent, creative, and needs to have an obsession, needs to make things … I think we’re both relieved by the fact that we both respect each other’s work. Nobody’s ever going to say, ‘Oh, but you promised we were going to go to the beach.’ No, you get a gig, that’s it. Work first.”

So a long distance relationship worked between Bourdain and Argento. Yet still, the question remains… why did he kill himself if he and Argento were so happy?

TMZ may have the answer to that question. According to the gossip site, the couple “seemed tight as ever just last week,” however, “something changed within the last few days.”

Asia and Anthony were on a shoot together for Bourdain’s Parts Unknown TV show in Hong Kong that reportedly wrapped about a week ago. Anthony posted shared a photo on Instagram of the crew, including Asia, who was sitting right beside him.

The week before that, the couple were together in Florence, Italy, and still appeared to be happy and romantic.

But, according to TMZ, while Anthony was in France shooting his show, Asia was spotted back in Rome “strolling around with a French reporter named Hugo Clément.”

An Italian photographer apparently snapped photos of Argento and Clément “holding hands and hugging,” TMZ reported, however, the photog pulled the pics off the market right after news of Bourdain’s broke.

It wasn’t clear whether Anthony and Asia had broken up, but if they did, they hadn’t yet made a public announcement. Their last public appearance together was back in April at an event in New York City, TMZ noted.

So, now we’re left with the question: Did Anthony Bourdain kill himself because Asia Argento was cheating on him? Since, as far as we know, he didn’t leave a suicide note, we’ll never know why he committed suicide. However, based on interviews he conducted after his divorce from his first wife, Nancy Putkoski, Bourdain didn’t handle breakups well.

After he and Putkoski split, Bourdain said he coped by self-medicating and behaving “in a completely irresponsible and suicide way.” He told Daily Life in a 2012 interview, “I didn’t value my own life and acted accordingly. I had put myself in a very dark place and behaved recklessly in the not-too-subconscious hope that something terrible would happen. I was doing everything possible—smoking pot, drink-driving—to invite that.” He went on to say that “divorce was just the work thing in the world: it was f**king awful.”

“It wasn’t that it was even a contentious divorce, there was no long, litigious battle; it’s just a terrible thing when a relationship that great ends,” he added.

So, it’s highly possible that if Asia was, in fact, cheating on him, or if they had recently broken up, he made the decision to end his own life, considering that those thoughts had passed through his mind before. But who knows what was going through Anthony Bourdain’s mind in his final moments, other than Bourdain himself.

For what it’s worth, Asia posted and deleted a bizarre Instagram story before Bourdain’s death was reported.

About three hours before the news broke of Anthony Bourdain’s apparent suicide, Argento shared a cryptic message to her Instagram story. The story included a photo of herself wearing a ripped t-shirt that read “F**K EVERYONE.” She captioned the post, “You know who you are.”

After deleting the story, she posted a note to Instagram and Twitter calling Bourdain a “brilliant, fearless spirit” who “touched and inspired so many.”

Anthony Bourdain was 61.

Is Blac Chyna Pregnant With Her 18-Year-Old Boyfriend’s Child? Twitter Reacts After She Debuts Possible Baby Bump

Is Blac Chyna pregnant with baby No. 3? Social media seems to think so after recent photos suggest she may be sporting a new accessory: a baby bump.

Photos surfaced of Chyna heading to her son’s kindergarten graduation on Friday (June 8). But it wasn’t the array of balloons she was carrying for 5-year-old King Cairo that caught everyone’s attention. It was the tiny bump made noticeable by her tight pale pink dress.

While absolutely nothing has been confirmed, if the 30-year-old is, in fact, pregnant, her 18-year-old rapper boyfriend YBN Almighty Jay is most likely the father. And Twitter definitely had a few things to say.

https://twitter.com/prettykxsh/status/1005245026736201729

Chyna and YBN started dating in February and it wasn’t long before baby rumors began swirling around the couple. In April, a source told Page Six Chyna was two and half months pregnant with YBN’s child. However, TMZ shot down the rumor and confirmed Chyna was NOT pregnant at that time.

And for all we know, the rumors may be false again. It’s possible Friday’s “baby bump” was caused by the photo angle, a delicious lunch, or maybe Chyna couldn’t do a little photoshop magic since the photos were taken by paparazzi.

For what it’s worth, recent images on her personal Instagram page show a much flatter stomach.

Chyna already currently has two children. Tyga is King’s father, while her ex-fiancé Rob Kardashian is the father of her 19-month old daughter, Dream.

Nick Young aka Swaggy P Celebrates First NBA Title: “I Went From Getting Snitched On To Putting A Ring On”

Nick Young, also known by his God-given nickname “Swaggy P,” is hella excited about winning his first NBA championship, and he isn’t letting ANYONE steal his joy, you hear me?

Even though he only scored a total of 5 points throughout the entire 4-game series, Young is probably the most excited Golden State Warrior. See the below video of him strutting down the floor at the end of Game 4 as the clock ran out for proof:

After the game, he called himself the “Swag Champ,” while cradling a massive bottle of Moët champagne.

He even talked about how he’ll be in a museum one day.

And he also gave a Warriors beat reporter a champagne bath, because why not?

But, perhaps, the best moment of Swaggy P’s post-game victory press tour came when he said the following quote: “I’ve came along way, haven’t I? I went from getting snitched on, to putting a ring on”—an obvious reference to that one time his L.A. Lakers teammate D’Angelo Russell broke the guy code and exposed him cheating on his then-girlfriend Iggy Azalea.

And, of course, Twitter seems to be enjoying every moment of Swaggy P’s celebration:

LeBron James Punched a Blackboard After Game 1 and Played the Rest of the Finals With a Broken Hand

Despite LeBron James averaging 34 points, 10 assists and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 52 percent throughout the 2018 NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers did not win a single game against the Golden State Warriors. On Friday (Jun. 8), they were swept out of the Finals.

The one game that they had a chance to win, though, was Game 1. You remember that game right? The game where George Hill missed the game-winning free-throw and J.R. Smith grabbed the rebound only to commit the biggest blunder of his life, dribbling out the clock and forcing overtime. The Cavs wounded up with a devastating 124-114 loss, and tons of hilarious memes were created. This we know.

But we didn’t know, apparently, was that LeBron James threw a temper tantrum after the game and punched a blackboard in the locker room out of frustration, causing him to suffer a bone contusion in his right shooting hand.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst and Sam Amick of USA Today tweeted that James played in the last three games of the Finals with the injury.

Amick said LeBron had an MRI after Game 1, but his hand was too swollen for doctors to see anything. “A second MRI was taken later that indicated it’s a bone contusion in the right hand. It is not expected to require surgery,” Amick tweeted.

Windhorst reiterated Amick’s report, saying that LeBron wasn’t using his injury as an excuse, but he chose to keep quiet “to prevent [the] Warriors from knowning.”

During LeBron’s postgame press conference after Game 4, he commented on the injury, admitting that he’s basically been playing the last three games with a broken hand. He even had a cast on to prove it! He did not, however, confirm that he punched a board to cause the injury.

His exact quote:

“What happened? Self-inflicted, post-game after Game 1. Very emotional, for a lot of different reasons. Understanding how important Game 1 is on the road for our ballclub, what would that have done for us. The way we played, the calls that was made throughout the course of that game, I had emotions on the game was taken away from us. I had emotions of you just don’t get opportunities like this on the road, versus Golden State, to be able to get a Game 1. And I let the emotions get the best of me. I pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand, so that’s what it is.”

Many fans were hoping for new music, which Bey and Jay did not deliver, but they made it for it with with the show’s big production—possibly the duo’s biggest yet—as well as an inside look into their uber private lives.

Bey serenaded Jay with her Ed Sheeran duet “Perfect” while images of the Carter family showed on the giant screen behind them, and during the closing number, “Forever Young,” the couple was shown dressed in what at what appeared to be a vow renewal ceremony.

Find out more about Nancy Putkoski, her relationship with Bourdain, why they split and how Bourdain dealt with suicidal thoughts back in 2005 after their 20-year marriage ended below.

1Anthony Bourdain and Nancy Putkoski were high school sweethearts.

Anthony Bourdain and Nancy Putkoski were together long before Bourdain became a famous chef, author and TV personality. They were high school sweethearts in New Jersey and later married in 1985.

Bourdain said in a 2012 interview with Daily Life that Putkoski was older than him and she was the “bad girl” in high school. He said in high school, he hung out with the typical crowd, while she was part of the “druggy crowd” and he was “smitten.”

In fact, Bourdain said he chose to graduate high school a year early so that he could follow her to Vassar College in New York. At the time, Vassar had just started admitting men, Bourdain said, so he was one of the only male students at the college when he enrolled. However, he dropped out after two years and enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America in New York.

Bourdain and Putkoski were incredibly close and, at one time, he considered her the love of his life. “She was my partner in crime, my wife, and before that my girlfriend,” he told Daily Life.

Bourdain elaborated on his married life with Putkoski in a 2017 interview with the New Yorker, comparing their marriage to the Gus Van Sant film “Drugstore Cowboy.” Anthony said he and Nancy had a “kind of love and codependency and sense of adventure – we were criminals together. A lot of our life was built around that, and happily so.”

He said much of their life involved drugs, but they also enjoyed a pretty quiet lifestyle, where they would get takeout at night, watch The Simpsons together, and save up for a vacation in the Caribbean every few years.

Putkoski described Bourdain as a “pretty dramatic” person. “It does look pretty bleak in the rearview mirror,” she said. “But, when you’re living it, it’s just your life. You struggle through.”

2Due to Anthony’s extensive travels, he and Nancy divorced after 20 years of marriage, and Anthony became suicidal after the split.

Anthony Bourdain and Nancy Putkoski were very close throughout their marriage. They were so close, in fact, that despite his busy travel schedule, he would often write her long emails.

One time, according to the New Yorker, after passing out after taking medicine for an illness and drinking alcohol on an empty stomach, he woke up emotionally shaken, and he went back to his villa to write a long email to Nancy to help clear his head.

When asked about what he wrote, he told the New Yorker:

“The sort of thing you write if you, you know, thought you were going to die. ‘I’m f**king sorry. I’m sure I’ve acted like I wasn’t.’ We’ve had very little contact—you know, civil, but very, very little. ‘I’m sorry. I know that doesn’t help. It won’t fix it, there’s no making amends. But it’s not like I don’t remember. It’s not like I don’t know what I’ve done.'”

But, ultimately, Anthony’s extensive travel schedule took too much of a toll on their marriage, and they divorced after 20 years.

His marriage to Putkoski was his longest relationship. His marriage with Ottavia Busia, from 2007 to 2016, only lasted 9 years, and they said they split because of how much he had to travel for his career, which was the same reason why he and Putkoski broke up.

Bourdain told Daily Life that, like most couples, he and Putkoski had good times and bad times. “I spent almost two years traveling and filming ‘A Cook’s Tour’ and, as a result, my marriage fell apart,” he said.

He did try to save his first marriage though. According to the New Yorker, he remodeled their apartment, but they still failed to establish a travel schedule to accommodate both parties. He wanted to travel the world and she simply wanted to take a vacation once a year, so, ultimately, they divorced citing distance as the driving force.

After their split, Bourdain said he coped by self-medicating and behaving “in a completely irresponsible and suicidal way.” He said, “I didn’t value my own life and acted accordingly. I had put myself in a very dark place and behaved recklessly in the not-too-subconscious hope that something terrible would happen. I was doing everything possible—smoking pot, drink-driving—to invite that.”

He said divorce was the worst thing in the world for him, even though it was pretty amicable and wasn’t contentious or long and drawn out like some divorces. “It’s just a terrible thing when a relationship that great ends,” he said.

3Bourdain said a trip to Vietnam changed his view about everything in his life, including his marriage to Putkoski.

While Anthony Bourdain didn’t speak too much about why he and Nancy Putkoski divorced right after it happened, he did speak to the Guardian a year later in 2006. He said their marriage fell apart, not because of his success, but after a visit to Vietnam that changed how he looked at everything in his life. He said he had read about Vietnam and it was just like the books and movies, and even better.

“The guileless generosity of strangers, waking up smelling those smells, seeing those sights,” he said. “And having, once, one perfect meal, a confluence of everything good, a source of perfect happiness; I was almost ready to believe in God.”

He continued, “I knew that my whole previous life was doomed. It was no longer going to be normal. I had seen that … color … and I knew that that had changed me, and altered the way I would look at things. And the first time I went back to America … everything was flat. Everything.”

“Everything” included his marriage with Putkoski, which ended shortly after he returned to America. “She was the love of my life. But everything changed,” he said.

4Anthony said Nancy “hated being near a camera” and did NOT like the idea of a TV show.

Though Bourdain didn’t mind being in the spotlight, Putkoski had a serious problem with it. He wrote in his book, A Cook’s Tour, that Putkoski had a “limitless potential for causing mayhem” whenever he had to film. He said he would keep a close eye on her because he was worried about her.

“I was keeping a sharp, worried eye on Nancy, who hated the idea of making a television show, hated being near a camera, and had already taken a serious dislike to the producer for keeping me busy most of the day shooting ‘B-roll,’ meaning scenery, shots of me walking around and pretending I was thinking deep thoughts, while she stewed, neglected, in a hotel room,” he wrote.

While Anthony desperately wanted the world that was opening up to him, Nancy felt like Hollywood fame was like a cancer to their lives and their relationship, and she didn’t really want to be on camera. In fact, Bourdain once said that Putkoski “identified television early on as an existential threat to the marriage,” the New Yorker reported.

“She told me recently that her ideal degree of fame would be that of a Supreme Court Justice,” he said. “Almost nobody knows what you look like, but you always get the reservation you want.”

5Anthony Bourdain and Nancy Putkoski never had children, and he once said he didn’t want any because he didn’t think he would be a good parent.

Anthony Bourdain pictured with his daughter Ariane in Miami Beach in 2008

Even though their marriage spanned two decades, Anthony and Nancy never had any children together.

Bourdain only had one child, Ariane, with his second wife, Ottavia Busia. But before he had his daughter, Bourdain said he wasn’t interested in having any kids. In his 2006 interview with the Guardian after his divorce from Putkoski, Bourdain said he didn’t regret not having any children at the time. Why? Because he thought he would have been a terrible parent.

“I’m a very good uncle,” he said. “The evil uncle who lets them do everything. But a parent? Up until very recently I could hardly take care of myself.”

Coincidentally, Bourdain would go on to meet his Ottavia Busia, his second wife, a year later, and they had a child together. After his daughter’s birth in 2007, his views about having children made a complete 180. He told Daily Life at the time, “It’s cliche to say that being a father is the greatest thing ever, but there’s only one thing better and that’s being a father of a little girl.”

CNN released the following statement confirming Anthony Bourdain’s death:

“It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain. His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.”

Bourdain leaves behind two ex-wives (including MMA fighter Ottavia Busia), an 11-year-old daughter (Ariane), friends, colleagues, and his girlfriend Asia Argento, who he’s been dating since 2016.

Here’s what you need to know about Asia Argento and her relationship with Anthony Bourdain:

1Asia Argento is an Italian actress, director, model and activist.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bi-SZyunIdc/?taken-by=asiaargento

Asia Argento hails from Rome, Italy and wears many hats as an actress, director, model and activist. According to the late Bourdain, Argento has been in the business since she was a child. Bourdain told People Magazine about Argento in a 2017 interview:

“She’s been in this circus since she was nine. She knows so much more about so many of the things that are important to me—music, books, film, the technical aspects of film, and just the weird state of celebrity, being somebody that people come up to. That’s something she’s dealt with a lot longer than me. I was 44 before that started happening. Whereas, it’s been like that for her since she was a kid.”

Bourdain added in a separate People Magazine interview last month:

“She comes from generations of filmmakers on both sides of the family. She’s a really accomplished director and writer along with being a longtime actress and a real sponge for culture, music, literature. So she’s enormously helpful and inspiring.”

Argento’s movie credits include 2002’s “xXx,” in which she co-starred along with Vin Diesel, 2005’s “Land of the Dead” and 2006’s “Marie Antoinette.” She also appeared in the final season of the TV series Mafiosa.

2Asia Argento was among the many women who accused Harvey Weinstein of rape.

Asia Argento and Harvey Weinstein pictured in 2004

Asia Argento was one of the many who came forward to speak out against Hollywood serial rapist Harvey Weinstein. Her allegations against the fallen entertainment mogul were that he forced oral sex on her.

Argento stated in an interview with Ronan Farrow for the New Yorker that she was 21 years old when Weinstein allegedly raped her in 1997 at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the French Riviera.

She said Weinstein came into the hotel room with a bottle of lotion and wearing only a bathrobe. After asking her to give him a massage, Argento claimed Weinstein forced her to give him oral sex as she continued to tell him to stop. Argento explained, “I was not willing. I said, ‘No, no, no’ … It’s twisted. A big fat man wanting to eat you. It’s a scary fairy tale.” She said she eventually began to fake enjoying the oral sex hoping that would get Weinstein to stop. Her film Scarlet Diva was actually about her encounter with Weinstein, Fox News reported.

When Argento first made the rape allegations against Weinstein (who has denied the claims), her boyfriend, Anthony Bourdain, publicly voiced his support of her. At the time that Argento came forward, Bourdain tweeted, “”@AsiaArgento I am proud and honored to know you. You just did the hardest thing in the world.”

According to The Independent, Bourdain, amid his “early, outspoken support for the #MeToo movement” cooked Thanksgiving dinner last year for Argento and two other of Weinstein’s accusers, Rose McGowan and Annabella Sciorra.

“It was an honor to cook for this meeting of the minds,” he captioned the photo, which all three women shared on their respective social media accounts. McGown called the evening “magical,” the Independent reported. In all, 86 women have so far accused Weinstein of rape.

3Bourdain and Argento had a long-distance relationship, but it worked for them.

Anthony Bourdain and Asia Argento made their first appearance together in September 2017 at the annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. Due to their crazy and equally demanding work schedules, Bourdain and Argento had a long-distance relationship, but it appeared to work well for them.

Bourdain, who spends about 250 days a year shooting his CNN show Parts Unknown, told People Magazine that he made it his mission to make time for Argento, as well as his 11-year-old daughter Ariane (with his ex-wife Ottavia Busia). Bourdain split his time between living in New York (to visit his daughter) and Italy (to visit his girlfriend, Argento).

Argento reportedly lives in Vigna Clara, which is north of Rome. She and Bourdain both love to work, which is something they had in common.

In a separate interview with People, Bourdain noted, “This woman likes to work.

4Asia Argento was previously married to filmmaker Michele Civetta.

Prior to her relationship with Anthony Bourdain, Asia Argento was previously married to Emmy-nominated film director Michele Civetta, the founder of the company Quintessence Films. The couple wed in 2008 and divorced in 2013.

Civetta’s directing credits include commercials for big brands such as Coca-Cola, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Martini & Rossi. He also worked with a number of big celebrities, including Yoko Ono, Carrie Fisher and Lindsay Lohan.

He even worked with his ex-wife Argento, directing her music video “Ours” in 2013. According to IMDB, Civetta also directed Argento in a 2017 thriller called “The Executrix.”

5Asia Argento has two children from previous relationships, one with her ex-husband, director Michelle Civetta, and another with Italian singer Marco Castoldi (aka “Morgan”).

Asia Argento has one child with her ex-husband Michele Civetta, a son Nicola Giovanni Civetta, who was born in 2008. Prior to her marriage with Civetta, Argento had a daughter with singer Marco Castoldi, also known as “Morgan.”

Argento and Castoldi’s daughter, Anna Lou Castoldi, who was born in 2001, is already a working actress and is known for the movies “Misunderstood” (2014) and “Shadow” (2017). Argento’s daughter is named after her sister Anna Ceroli, who died in a motorcycle accident in the 1990’s.

6Asia Argento released a statement about Anthony Bourdain’s death on Twitter and reportedly shared a cryptic message on Instagram hours before the sad news was announced.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BjRZxd1HeAx/?taken-by=asiaargento

Asia Argento spoke out following Anthony Bourdain’s shocking death from an apparent suicide on Friday.

She said in a message posted to Twitter, “Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine.”

According to People Magazine, about three hours before the news broke of Anthony Bourdain’s apparent suicide, Argento shared a cryptic message to her Instagram story.

The story included a photo of herself wearing a ripped t-shirt that read “F**K EVERYONE.” She captioned the post, “You know who you are.” The story has since been deleted.

The pair married on April 20th, 2007, a little over a week after Busia gave birth to their now 11-year-old daughter Ariane. The couple announced their split in 2016, citing Bourdain’s demanding work and travel schedule for making their relationship impossible. Busia said in a statement to Page Six at the time, “Because of professional decisions we both have made, my husband and I have been for years in an unconventional relationship. Nothing has changed. We love each other. We respect the decisions the other has made. And we’ll always consider ourselves a family.”

Here’s what you need to know about Anthony Bourdain’s second ex-wife Ottavia Busia.

Ottavia Busia grew up in a small town in Italy and moved to the U.S. as a groupie with an Irish rock band.

https://www.instagram.com/p/YDJBECoCMO/?taken-by=ottaviabourdain

In a 2012 interview with the New York Times, Ottavia Busia said that she grew up in a small town in the northern part of Italy. She said she was studying to be a dentist, but all of that changed in 2000 when Busia moved to the United States to follow an Irish rock band.

On music, Busia said her gym playlist was “pretty eclectic” and contained artists such as the Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine, Vampire Weekend, Perl Jam and others.

Ottavia and Anthony were introduced by Anthony’s good friend, chef Eric Ripert.

In her interview with the Times, Busia said that her first job was a waitress in a pizzeria in Italy, and after moving to the U.S. she worked various restaurant jobs in New York City before becoming the general manager of a sushi restaurant called Geisha.

The restaurant’s consulting chef was Bourdain’s friend Eric Ripert—the man who would in later years find the CNN star dead. Ripert thought that Bourdain and Busia would hit it off so he introduced them to each other. Ripert told the Times, “It was what we call in French a coup de foudre,” which means love at first sight. And it certainly was, considering the pair got matching chef’s knife tattoos after “a few dates,” the NY Times reported.

Bourdain said in an interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine that he fell in love with Busia while watching her devour a six-pound lobster. He also talked about how the couple had their first date in a cigar bar.

Busia told Married to a Chef that the restaurant business was what brought her and Bourdain together. She said that they would often meet after her shift and drink beers for hours on end while discussing the business. Busia said, “Anybody else would have been bored to death, or horrified, but for him it was enjoyable and it would bring back memories his days in the business.”

Busia said in her interview that Bourdain didn’t cook for her at home. When she was asked what the best part of being the spouse of a chef was, she answered, “Not the food!” She said, “My husband doesn’t cook at home, although if you ask him he’ll tell you I don’t let him, or that I don’t appreciate his cooking, which might or might not be true.”

Ottavia said that the biggest strain on her relationship with Anthony was his demanding work schedule.

Ottavia Busia said in a 2010 interview with the Miami New Times that the hardest part of her marriage to Anthony Bourdain was his constant traveling schedule for work. Busia joked that it had been her “childhood ambition to marry Anthony Bourdain.”

Busia said a perfect day for her would be drinking daiquiris with her husband while their daughter is “splashing around in the sea.” She added that her ideal date would be “a weekend room at #55 at the Chateau Marmont.”

Busia also revealed how her husband’s increasing fame impacted their lives.

“When I first met my husband he wasn’t particularly famous, he was recognized in certain circles but people wouldn’t stop him in the street. His level of popularity has now definitely increased, he has written more books, he does speaking engagements, and his shows are broadcast all over the world,” she said.

“I have to admit at first, when people started asking for pictures or autographs pretty much everywhere, it was a little unsettling, now I’m the one who offers to take the picture if someone approaches him,” she added. “I completely support everything he wants to do, whether it’s traveling to Libya, bungee jumping or writing a comic book.”

Expanding on her feelings regarding Bourdain’s demanding work schedule, Busia said, “I remember once waking up in the middle of the night terrified because someone was in my bed. That someone was my husband, I had just forgotten that he was home.”

Thanks to Busia’s MMA passion, Bourdain wrote in a 2013 Vice article: “Date night is pretty much going to a fight. In between we watch tapes of guys wrestling each other. Romantic? Not.”

Bourdain and Busia divorced in 2016 after nine years of marriage. He was dating Italian actress Asia Argento at the time of his death.

Ottavia Busia is an MMA fighter, and she said Bourdain would often joke, “I married Sophia Loren and ended up with Jean Claude Van Damme.”

Ottavia Busia is a trained MMA fighter and she specialized in the art of Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. She wrote in an essay for Lena Dunham’s Lenny newsletter about her love of MMA in 2016. Busia mentioned in her essay that Bourdain would often joke that he “married Sophia Loren and ended up with Jean-Claude Van Damme.”

https://instagram.com/p/BKuI11hhQFz/?utm_source=ig_embed

She explained how she became interested in the sport, writing:

I began kickboxing on the Upper East Side shortly after the birth of my daughter nine years ago. The gyms and locker rooms there smelled of fresh blowouts and nail polish.

Like me, most of the other women were there to “get their body back” after pregnancy or to learn self-defense. But even after I had “gotten my body back” and finished the self-defense classes, I found myself wanting more. I was hooked.

When I decide I like something, I go in all the way. And what I really liked was hitting my instructors. So they told me I should train in jujitsu.

About Anthony’s Sophia Loren joke, Busia shared:

“There’s something to that. I’m not the same person. I’m hard now, physically and mentally. The confidence I gained is something I’m proud to share with my daughter, who, like me, has been training jujitsu for some time.”

Busia says her MMA training diet consists of “mostly meat and cheese, with the occasional donut.”

Ottavia Busia explained her MMA training diet in an interview with the Jiujitsu Times. She said that her diet is “definitely not hard to maintain” considering it’s “mostly meat and cheese with the occasional donut.” But she did note that her diet not work for everyone because she trains around 20 times per week.

On Busia’s discipline, Bourdain said, “I’m not like Ottavia, who’s doing this three or four hours a day, or my daughter who goes five to six hours a week. … It’s a family affair, a togetherness thing. I’m liking it, but I’m trying to be reasonable about it. My wife is serious about it. She’s a competitor. I’m not. I’m a dilettante.”

Ariane Bourdain: Fast Facts to Know About Anthony Bourdain’s Daughter

Ariane Bourdain was the only daughter of Anthony Bourdain. On Friday, June 8th, 2018, CNN reported that Bourdain, a famed chef and well-known TV personality, was found dead of an apparent suicide in France. He was just 61 years old.

Ariane Bourdain lived a very private life outside of the public eye, but she was very close to her parents. Her mom is Bourdain’s ex-wife Ottavia Busia-Bourdain.

Here’s what you need to know about Ariane Bourdain.

1Ariane’s famous dad Anthony Bourdain was found hanged.

According to reports, Anthony Bourdain was working in France at the time of his death, an apparent suicide by hanging. His longtime friend, chef Eric Ripert, was the one who discovered his body in his hotel room. It isn’t known whether or not he left a suicide note.

“It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain,” CNN said in a statement. “His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.”

Busia-Bourdain was raised in Italy and, according to People Magazine, she moved to the United States in 2000 after falling in love with a musician. She worked at various restaurants in New York before eventually meeting chef Eric Ripert, who introduced her to his good friend Anthony.

Ottavia and Anthony seemed to hit it off, despite their 22-year age difference. They welcomed their only child Ariane in 2007.

Anthony and Ottavia announced their decision to split in 2016, writing in a joint statement posted on Instagram, “We love each other. We respect the decisions the other has made. And we’ll always consider ourselves a family. Because of professional decisions we both have made, my husband and I have been for years in an unconventional relationship.”

3Ariane, described as a “harsh critic” by her father, was featured Bourdain’s 2016 cookbook “Appetites.”

Ariane and her father were very close. In late 2016, Anthony Bourdain published a cookbook called “Appetites,” which was mostly written for Ariane, as Anthony highlighted the various dishes he enjoyed cooking for his daughter.

Bourdain explained in the book that he loved feeding people, especially the people that he loved.

A passage from the cookbook reads: “I feel uncontrollable urges to smother the people I love with food. I’ve become this sort of passive-aggressive yenta or Italian grandmother stereotype from films who’s always urging people, ‘Eat! Eat!’ and sulking inconsolably when they don’t.”

Bourdain said in a 2016 interview with The Takeout that his daughter was a “harsh critic” and that he always had to be careful with the flavors he added to some of her favorite dishes.

“You know, I put a tiny tiny little bit of nutmeg in my macaroni and cheese and she did not enjoy that. She called me on it right away,” he told the outlet. “She’s got a very acute palate and she catches me if I over-salt something. If there’s any variance between a dish that she liked last time and how it’s done today she’ll be like, ‘Nah, not eating it, there’s too much pepper in that.'”

4Ariane’s parents have shielded her from the public eye.

https://www.instagram.com/p/0_J07BoCBm/

Despite Anthony Bourdain being a well-known personality around the globe, he and Ottavia have made a conscious decision to shield their daughter from the public eye.

In fact, neither one of them has ever shared any photos of their young daughter’s face on social media, like the picture above, for example, showing her getting her hair braided.

The picture below was shared on Instagram by Anthony Bourdain after winter break last year, and you cannot see her face in it as well:

5Anthony Bourdain said that becoming a father changed his life.

Like many first-time dads, Anthony Bourdain said that having a child was a life-changing moment for him.

He said in his 2016 interview with The Takeout: “I guess my whole life, as much as I might have wanted a child for the reason that everybody wants one, I always recognized that at no point until I was 50 was I old enough or up to the job. I thought, you know what, I not only really want a child, but at this point, finally in my life, I think I’m up to the job and I’m the type of person who could do the job well and I’m financially prepared to look after a child.”

Bourdain said the realization that he was capable of caring for a child hit him like a “bolt of lightning.”

He mentioned in the interview that he wanted his daughter to experience all of his “treasured childhood memories” and described the overly elaborate manner in which he would plan meals for her.

“It’s almost an assault, at least for the first few years,” he said. “When we go on vacation, I would find myself, in a really over-organized way, becoming overly aggressive with the personal culinary history. I overloaded the poor thing with all the greatest hits of my most cherished childhood memories and dishes from the Jersey Shore and Cape Cod. I literally had a cycle menu for a poor little kid, and I have a fucking cycle menu up on the refrigerator. ‘Today will be steamers followed by boiled lobster and fresh corn on the cob and seasonal tomatoes! Tomorrow will be clam chowder.'”

Bourdain also said that he felt like it was “wrong, morally” and “annoying in general” to encourage a child to become a foodie, so he never tried to push exotic cuisines on her. “I never even suggested, ‘Hey baby it’s good, maybe you should try it.’ That never worked for me,” he said. However, to his surprise and delight, Ariane seemed to naturally have a refined palate, even at a very young age.

“When she was a very little girl if she wanted to eat pasta with butter every day that was fine with me, but what else was being eaten at the table was often very interesting… and she would often reach for a sardine or an anchovy. Some salty pecorino or even raw oysters, she was eating at age 3.”

Bourdain advised parents to never push foods on their children that they didn’t want to eat. “Never try to get your kid to eat anything she doesn’t already want to eat,” he said. “Just eat interesting stuff in front of her while completely ignoring her. Never, ever suggest ‘try it.’ Never say those dreaded words ‘try it, it’s good.’ Or worse, ‘It’s good for you.’ That’ll poison the well. Eat interesting foods in front of her. If he or she wants to eat grilled cheese, fine. Let them discover it on their own and it will be their own little triumph rather than something you convinced them to do.”

“It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain,” CNN said in a statement Friday morning. “His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.”

Bourdain first made his as a chef and then an author. His famous book, “Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly,” was published in 2000.

Bourdain was perhaps best known as the host of the award-winning CNN series “Parts Unknown,” in which the chef and author took viewers around the world exploring the human condition and helping audiences think differently about food, travel and themselves. He was an advocate for marginalized populations and campaigned for safer working conditions for restaurant employees.

Bourdain received practically every award within the industry along the way, including the Peabody Award in 2013 when judges honored him and Parts Unknown for “expanding our palates and horizons in equal measure.”

“He’s irreverent, honest, curious, never condescending, never obsequious,” the judges said. “People open up to him and, in doing so, often reveal more about their hometowns or homelands than a traditional reporter could hope to document.”

Bourdain was once called “the original rock star” of the culinary world and “the Elvis of bad boy chefs” by the Smithsonian.

In 1999, he wrote a New York Article titled “Don’t Eat Before Reading This,” which later became his best-selling 2000 book “Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly,” which set him on a path to international stardom.

Bourdain’s first foray into television was “A Cook’s Tour” on the Food Network before moving to the Travel Channel with “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations,” which was a breakout hit and earned two Emmy Awards and more than a dozen nominations.

He joined CNN in 2013 and quickly became one of the most famous faces on the network. Season 11 of “Parts Unknown” premiered on the network last month.

Bourdain told People in an interview in 2016 that while he was “living the dream,” traveling 250 days a year working on projects like his CNN show, it did come at a cost.

“I have the best job in the world and I’m very grateful for that,” he said. “And I don’t plan on walking away from that any time soon, I can assure you—but it comes at a cost.”

That “cost” Bourdain was referring to was the dissolution of his marriage to mixed martial artist Ottavia Busia. At the time, he compared his lonely life on the road to the David Bowie song “The Space Oddity.”

“I relate very much to that,” he said, “like I’m sitting in a tin can orbiting the earth for much of the time … I now wake up alone in a lot of faraway places looking at beautiful vistas and doing interesting things. But the truth is I’m alone for most of that time.”

Anthony Bourdain’s death by suicide comes just days after fashion designer Kate Spade was found dead in an apparent suicide after hanging herself in her Manhattan apartment Tuesday (Jun. 5).

Bourdain leaves behind an 11-year-old daughter, Ariane, with his ex-wife Ottavia, and his girlfriend of the past year, Asia Argento.

“Sons of Anarchy” Actor Alan O’Neill Dead at 47

Actor Alan O’Neill, best known for his role as Hugh on Sons of Anarchy, died Wednesday (Jun 6). He was 47 years old.

The Irish actor appeared in Season 6 and 7 of the hit FX series, with IMDB crediting him in seven episodes in 2013 and 2014. O’Neill’s manager, Greg Meyer, confirmed his passing to Variety Thursday night.

O’Neill’s agent Annette Walsh described the actor as brilliant and funny. “I’ll personally miss knowing Alan isn’t sharing the planet with us any longer, despite the miles between L.A. and Dublin, Alan was only ever a phone call away,” she said.

No foul play is suspected in O’Neill’s death, according to TMZ, which reported that his body was “discovered by his girlfriend in the hallway of her Los Angeles apartment Wednesday night.”

While no official cause of death has been revealed, O’Neill’s manager said he had a history of heart problems, was a heavy smoker and also struggled with drug abuse and alcoholism. TMZ reported that an autopsy will be done soon to determine O’Neill’s cause of death.

In addition to “SOA,” O’Neill appeared in movies and TV shows dating back to the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.

Though Sons of Anarchy went off the air in 2014, the show is still popular on streaming platforms like Netflix. A spin-off show called Mayans MC was reshot last year and earlier this year FX officially announced it was picking it up. The show will debut sometime in 2018.

Kenya Moore Tries to Prove She’s Really Pregnant With Ultrasound Video & Baby Bump Photo

Kenya Moore is desperate for the world to recognize her “pregnancy” as the real deal, so she took to Instagram Monday (Jun. 4) to share a video of her “ultrasound” from a recent doctor’s visit.

Amid speculation that the RHOA star—who has reportedly been demoted to “friend of the show” status—is faking her “pregnancy” for a storyline, she first posted a photo showing off a teeny tiny baby bump, and now she’s showing off her “ultrasound.”

“My heart is overwhelmed by all the kindness and well wishes many of you have sent our family,” the 49-year-old possibly expectant mother penned in a lengthy message. “I felt compelled to share this video of one of our early ultrasounds when I saw my baby’s heart beating for the first time. I cried like a baby myself! I couldn’t believe this miracle growing inside me. And its heart was beating so fast!”

Moore previously “confirmed” that she and her husband Marc Daly are expecting their first child together during the RHOA Season 10 reunion, which was filmed in mid-March and aired on TV in early April. She made it a point to mention that she was NOT using a surrogate. Based on that timeline, she should be anywhere from 12-16 weeks pregnant by now.

Despite her “baby bump” photo and “ultrasound” video, folks are still questioning the legitimacy of Kenya’s “pregnancy,” but we hope and pray she’s not taking this as far as staging a whole ultrasound video, because that’s just ridiculous.

Only time will tell whether or not Kenya Moore is really carrying a tiny human in her belly. If she is indeed pregnant, that belly should start poking out any day now.
