Just in time for Mother’s Day, an Ohio woman gave birth to a pair of “mono mono” twin girls in a rare kind of pregnancy that happens about once in 10,000 births of all twins.
According to the Associated Press, Sarah Thistlethwaite and her husband Bill didn’t find out they were having twins until Sarah’s 19th week of pregnancy and her third ultrasound.
As written on Wikipedia, “Monoamniotic-Monochorionic twins” (also called “Mono Mono twins” or “MoMo twins”) are identical twins that share the same placenta and amniotic sac, and they occur when the same embryo splits more than eight days after fertilization.
Since the pregnancy is considered high-risk, Sarah was hospitalized for two months before her C-section at 33 weeks on Friday (May 9), three days before Mother’s Day the following Sunday.
When doctors lifted the identical twin girls (named Jenna and Jillian) up for their parents to see them after delivery, they were holding hands, as seen in the photo at the very top.
Sarah told the Akron Beacon Journal that was “the best Mother’s Day present ever.”
“They’re already best friends,” she said. “I can’t believe they were holding hands. That’s amazing.”
Coca-Cola introduced their “You’re On” advertising campaign for Diet Coke in North America three months ago, and now it’s being pulled after being mocked all over the Internet.
The Coca-Cola Company‘s “You’re On” ads were supposed to present Diet Coke as a pick me-up for young strivers, similar to an energy drink.
A billboard described the soft drink as “how go-getters get going,” while a print ad said: “You’ve got an 8 a.m. interview, a perfect black suit and three letters in your future: C.E.O.”
And in a TV commercial, an announcer declared: “When it’s time to be on, it’s time for Diet Coke. You’re on.”
The same commercial appears on dietcoke.com and the text beside it reads, “Whether you’re the best man about to give a speech at your friend’s wedding or Taylor Swift about to go onstage in front of millions, the refreshment of Diet Coke keeps you on.”
But after advertising/marketing bloggers and social media users noticed that in some ads, the “You’re On” slogan appeared above the Diet Coke logo, which in turn made it seem like Coca-Cola was saying “You’re On Diet Coke,” or, even worse, “You’re On Coke,” the soda company — who actually used REAL cocaine as one of their main ingredients until the early 1900’s — yanked the campaign.

“It’s not likely that the reference was intentional,” especially since the company’s products used to actually contain cocaine, according to CBS, but David Gianatasio at AdWeek disagrees.
“The campaign’s wording is so obvious, I’d bet client and agency went this route on purpose,” he writes. “The ads are certainly getting extra attention, and it’s not so offensive as to cause the brand harm. Plus, there’s plausible deniability.”
Coca-Cola says it “in no way endorses or supports the use of any illegal substance,” and the slogan change was simply meant to provide “a different way to talk about the brand.”
The slogan has since been replaced by “Just for the taste of it,” which introduced the drink in 1983 and has been used at least three times since. Coca-Cola is reportedly working on a new campaign internally, one that hopefully does not sound like the company is peddling cocaine to consumers.

Wale is a native to Montgomery County Maryland and everyone was excited to see him perform for such a large crowd in his hometown.
Wale hit the stage shortly after arriving to the venue to keep fans from waiting. He immediately launched into a high energy set and let the crowd know he wanted the performance to be monumental.
Wale intentionally connected with members of the crowd by entering the pit following his second song and even performed a verse from within the sea-like crowd. He offered a mix of mixtape cuts such as “Bait” and recent album cuts such as “Love/Hate Thing” and “Clappers.”
Ralph Folarin also ran through his biggest songs, like “Bad” and “Lotus Flower Bomb,” and let the crowd take over for “No Hands.”

Due to a slightly late arrival, Wale was forced to forgo a short press conference but he did take the time out to address the crowd during his set.
The Maryland emcee made it clear that he was just like all the members of the audience and still is. A powerful message coming from a successful individual to a crowd of young students pursuing higher education.
Wale also brought out up and coming Washington D.C. group Thraxxx, to perform their street hit “Too Much” with a great response from the crowd.
For an artist that is often portrayed as reactionary and condescending, Wale was able to connect with fans, put on a great show to please the large crowd in attendance, and set the stage for his counterpart.
Wale and Big Sean are no strangers to sharing the stage, as Sean alludes to in the “Nothing Is Stopping You” intro for his most recent album ‘Hall of Fame,’ Sean has also performed at the UMD on two previous occasions in 2009 and 2011, but this time as a headliner his growth as a performer was clear.
Fresh off the split from his former fiance Naya Rivera, Sean was focused on the task at hand. Big Sean jumped into new material from the start kicking things off with his “1st Quarter Freestyle” demonstrating the top notch rapping he is known for.
Sean mainly did material from his first two studio albums ‘Finally Famous’ and ‘Hall of Fame.’ The G.O.O.D. Music emcee balanced out his raunchy hits such as “A$$,” “Mona Lisa,” and “Mula” with his more introspective tracks like “Toyota Music,” “Fire,” and “Beware.”

Big Sean was really able to get the entire stadium rocking with a digital display that changed along with the themes of his songs.
Despite his short stature, the stage presence was undeniable as he trotted through song after song killing every verse.
Big Sean was also accompanied by live music which helped make his set unique. The live band was able to transition smoothly and even played an impromptu version of a “Guap” interlude that many thought was simply a new song.
Sean of course also blessed the audience with a rendition of his “All Me” verse from Drake’s most recent album. However, those in attendance may have noticed a slight alteration in Sean’s lyrics. On the original “All Me” verse Sean raps, “My new girl is on ‘Glee’ and Sh*t, prolly making more money than me and sh*t.”
On this occasion, myself and many in attendance heard Big Sean and DJ Mo Beatz ad-lib the verse with a resounding “Less!” in place of the usual “more.” Surely, not a big deal in the slightest and probably truer than the original lyrics. However, it is interesting to see how artists can be affected by their personal life through their work.
Each artist can cope differently and Big Sean seems to be unfazed and delivered a stellar performance. Both Wale and Big Sean did not disappoint although both have collaborated on multiple songs together; it was disappointing to not see them both take the stage at once.
In the end, both emcees were able to stand on their own and keep the crowd heavily enthused for a concert to kickoff a spring weekend.
Following the show Big Sean commented, “There’s good and bad college shows, but this one was definitely a good one … The energy was all the way through the roof.”

Apollo Nida, the husband of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks, has pleaded guilty to fraud charges … and if he’s convicted of those charges, he could be spending a VERY long time in prison.
According to Atlanta CBS affiliate WGCL, Nida appeared in federal court Tuesday afternoon (May 6) and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bank fraud.
Apollo was arrested and charged with bank fraud and identity theft earlier this year after authorities claimed the reality TV star created several fake collection companies so that he could gain access to personal information and credit history databases operated by credit companies like Equifax and Lexis-Nexis.
Prosecutors said that beginning in 2009, Nida and co-conspirators stole and obtained checks, filed fake tax returns and made fraudulent claims against the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development in the victims’ names in nearly a dozen states.
The U.S. Attorney’s office said Nida and his co-conspirators defrauded over 50 victims over a period of four years and gained at least $2.3 million in the process.
They also said he had several checks from the fraudulent claims sent to mailboxes rented by co-conspirators at UPS stores across Georgia, according to WGCL. To get the bank loans, Apollo also created fake documents and websites that appeared to belong to legitimate car dealerships.
“The extensive nature of the fraud is unfortunate and breathtaking,” United States Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said. “Prosecutions like this case help to highlight the vulnerabilities in the financial system, so that we can prevent future schemes and protect our citizens and government agencies from theft like this.”
John D. Sours, Administrator, Governor’s Office of Consumer Protection said, “Many everyday citizens, legitimate businesses and taxpayers have been victimized by this complicated and long running fraudulent scheme. After an intensive investigation with the cooperation of federal, state and local law enforcement, we are very pleased to at long last see this criminal brought to justice.”
Apollo is scheduled to be sentenced on July 8th and if convicted, he faces up to 30 year sin prison and $1 million in fines.
XXL magazine released their 2014 Freshman Class cover this week, showing off the top 12 hip-hop artists to look out for this year, and among the breakthrough acts featured on the June/July 2014 issue are Chance the Rapper, August Alsina, Rich Homie Quan and Ty Dolla $ign.
New artists Kevin Gates, Troy Ave, Lil Durk, Isaiah Rashad, Vic Mensa, Lil Bibby, Jon Connor and Jarren Benton are also part of the class, which the publication dubbed as “The Dirty Dozen” on its cover.

XXL’s editor-in-chief Vanessa Satten tells Yahoo Music that they came up with the concept in 2007 after noticing an increased interest in up-and-coming rappers. “We’d seen people’s attention shifting over to newer artists,” she explained. “They were not as into vets as they used to be.”
Satten says the Freshman Class isn’t the magazine’s top seller, but it generates a lot of buzz online with behind-the-scenes footage of the cover shoot and rap sessions. “It’s huge digitally,” she said. “That’s where you get to see the ciphers and freestyles.”
The Freshman lineup is determined by thorough research. The XXL staff interviews music business executives, managers, friends, hip-hop fans, and artists, and discusses the findings in a series of meetings. “We start in September and go through January,” Satten says. “We do as much research as we can.”
The inaugural Freshman Class cover in 2008 featured the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Lil Boosie, Plies, and Slaughter House’s Joell Ortiz and Crooked I. Subsequent covers have spotlighted today’s biggest names in popular music.
“It’s always exciting to see the Freshman [issue] do well,” Satten says. “We put Macklemore on the cover really early when people were saying the whole year, ‘Who’s a Macklemore? What’s a Macklemore?’ We were on Kendrick [Lamar] early. They used to come to our office and hang out.”
Last week, two prior freshman artists, Future and Iggy Azalea, entered the Billboard Hot 200 chart in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. “We’re trying to predict the future,” Satten explains. “There are misses at times, but there are also hits. I think the Freshmen have been pretty on target with a lot of the big stars of today.”
Satten says there is a good reason why ASAP Rocky, Nicki Minaj, and Drake aren’t Freshman alum. “[ASAP Rocky] said at first he wanted to be on the cover, then he backed out, but it wasn’t for our lack of not knowing,” she reveals. “Same with Nicki and Drake.”
Because the cover only happens once a year, it is sometimes hard to align with the artists. “There’s a lot of time in between that somebody could blow up and be too big by the time the next cover comes out.”
LMFAO is calling Rick Ross out big time, telling TMZ that the rapper is nothing but a former corrections officer who built a fake, bad-ass persona just so he could gain some street cred within the rap community.
The whole beef stems from Ross suing the “Party Rock Anthem” rap duo back in December for allegedly stealing lyrics from his 2006 hit “Hustlin'”.
However, LMFAO is firing back at Ross’ lawsuit and claim that borrowing lyrics is part of the music biz, so Rick Ross should just order some lemon pepper wings and stop whining. OK, the last part isn’t true, but that’s what we think he should do anyway.
Ross sued LMFAO in December … claiming the group stole his lyric, “Everyday I’m hustlin'” from his 2006 track “Hustlin’.” Ross acknowledges they changed the words slightly to “Everyday I’m shufflin'” for their big hit, “Party Rock Anthem” — but he says they couldn’t mask the obvious thievery.
Now LMFAO just fired back in new legal dcocs, admitting they riffed off of Ross’ lyric, but claiming it’s fair game — all part of the music biz.

The group of Nigerian terrorists known as the Boko Haram have now claimed full responsibility for the abduction of at least 276 schoolgirls during a raid in the village of Chibok, Nigeria last month, AFP reported, citing a video they hrecently got their hands on.
In a 57-minute video obtained by the news agency, Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau admitted to the kidnappings, saying (according to a translation from CNN):
“I abducted your girls. I will sell them in the market, by Allah. There is a market for selling humans. Allah says I should sell. He commands me to sell. I will sell women. I sell women.”

Boko Haram is a terrorist group receiving training from al Qaeda affiliates, according to U.S. officials. Its name means “Western education is sin.” In his nearly hourlong, rambling video, Shekau repeatedly called for Western education to end.
“Girls, you should go and get married,” he said.
The outrageous threat means the girls’ parents’ worst fears could be realized. Parents have avoided speaking to the media for fear their daughters may be singled out for reprisals.
U.S. State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said the video “does appear legitimate.”
The tape won’t intimidate or deter Nigeria from efforts to save the kidnapped girls, the Nigerian government said.
“It is disheartening that someone would make such a terrible boast,” Doyin Okupe, spokesman for President Goodluck Jonathan, said in an interview with CNN.
“It is to be expected of terrorists,” he added. “No group can affect our resolve. We will see this through to the end. We have the commitment and capacity to get this done. No matter what this takes, we will get these girls.”
On Sunday, Jonathan vowed, “Wherever these girls are, we’ll get them out.”
These days, we are so glued to their iPhones, iPads, laptops, computers, etc. we might as well marry them … but one Florida man REALLY wants to marry his laptop, which is filled with a ton of porn.
Chris Sevier (pictured left), “a former Judge Advocate and combat veteran” (with entirely too much time on his hands, apparently) has reportedly elbowed his way into a gay marriage lawsuit in Florida, claiming that if gays in the state could be allowed to marry, he should be able to get married to his “porn filled Apple computer.”
Sevier filed a motion on behalf of “other minority sexual orientation groups,” and in the 24-page document, Sevier asserts that if gay couples “have the right to marry their object of sexual desire, even if they lack corresponding sexual parts, then I should have the right to marry my preferred sexual object.”

Recently, I purchased an Apple computer. The computer was sold to me without filters to block out pornography. I was not provided with any warning by Apple that pornography was highly addictive and could alter my reward cycle by the manufacturer.
Over time, I began preferring sex with my computer over sex with real women. Naturally, I ‘fell in love’ with my computer and preferred having sex with it over all other persons or things, as a result of classic conditioning upon orgasm.
In case you haven’t caught on yet, it’s obvious that this guy is trolling the f**k out of the Florida judicial system. He’s basically arguing against gay marriage, but at least he’s at least being creative with it.
Short on sound legal grounding (and even shorter on wit), Sevier’s filing is obviously an attempt to punk the legal system because he doesn’t agree with gay marriage (as he says in the filing, “sexual orientation” never existed as a classification until President Obama came along to advance his “social agenda to make America a ‘gay nation.'”
Sevier says he’s here to make the courts “put up or shut up” on the equal protection argument upon which the push for gay marriage is based. He obviously thinks his obnoxious argument makes some point.
This isn’t the first time Chris Sevier has filed a ridiculous lawsuit.
According to the New Times, Sevier sued Apple last summer because it sold him a computer without sufficiently protecting him from the evils of Internet porn. He also sued A&E for firing “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson after his anti-gay remarks.
And just recently, Sevier filed a 50-page motion intervening in a Utah gay marriage case, declaring himself a “patriot with standing” and asking the appeals court to “put up or shut up” about expanding equal protection to sexual minorities. In that case, Sevier described his failed attempts to obtain a marriage license for himself and “a machine.”
In this Florida case though, the federal judge manning the gay marriage case has reportedly tossed it for now.
Judge Robert Hinkle wrote in an April 24 ruling, “Chris Sevier has moved to intervene, apparently asserting he wishes to marry his computer … Perhaps the motion is satirical. Or perhaps it is only removed from reality. Either way, the motion has no place in this lawsuit.”
Looks like Mr. Sevier won’t be able to make an honest machine out of his Macbook after-all.

Chris Brown‘s on-and-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran has been holding him down ever since he was thrown in jail back in March, and now there are rumors floating around suggesting that the singer is considering proposing to her when he’s released.
Brown, who brought in his 25th birthday Monday (May 5) behind bars, is still facing jail time due to a probation violation (his next hearing is May 9), but a source tells Hollywood Life that Chris sees Kae as “wifey” material.
And not only that, but he has finally realized how lucky he is to have a woman like Karrueche standing by his side, unconditionally, throughout all of his legal drama and everything else he gets himself into.

He calls her his wifey and tells her all the time that she’s perfect wife material,” a source revealed to HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “He knows Kae is incredibly loyal and has literally put her life on hold to hold him down in jail. She’s taken care of just about everything in his house.”
“He basically told her that when he gets out things are going to be way different between them and that he’s going to return all the favors she’s given him with a surprise of a lifetime,” the source added.
The “source” went on to say that Karrueche wasn’t isn’t sure if she’d except a proposal, but was “very happy” to hear him call her “wifey.”

The official reveal trailer for “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” was unveiled late Thursday night (May 1), and a fully-digitized Kevin Spacey stars in it, declaring that there’s no more room for democracy in today’s world.
“Ideas don’t determine who is right. Power determines who is right. And I have the power. So I’m right,” Spacey’s digital character says in the clip.
Gameplay-wise, this is the most futuristic-looking “Call of Duty” yet. The trailer opens with a flock of drones hovering over a ravished city, and the game’s soldiers are armed with robotic exoskeletons that allow them to soar over the battlefield with ease.
Ironically, the heightened sense of movement and mech-like combat suits found in the trailer are reminiscent of Respawn Entertainment’s “Titanfall,” a game made by “CoD” vets that proved to be a serious rival to the blockbuster franchise.
While the bombastic “Advanced Warfare” trailer suggests another playable summer blockbuster, Activision seems to be making an effort to use its game to explore some actual issues. The company recently released a mini-documentary about real-world private military corporations, which are said to play a major role in the new game’s story.
“Advanced Warfare” looks gorgeous running on Xbox One. The clip’s war-torn vistas are brimming with detail, especially during a striking scene in which San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge completely collapses.
Activision has yet to confirm which other consoles the shooter is coming to, though we wouldn’t be surprised to see a wide release on PC, current-gen and older-gen consoles given the series’ popularity.
It’s bad enough that he has unprotected sex with strippers and an ego way too big for someone who just got knocked out a few months ago, but this guy … is a F**KING IDIOT!
Fortunately for him though, he won his fight against Carlos Molina over the weekend, but his comments during the post-fight interview has landed the “too cocky for TV” boxer in hot water.
Asked by Showtime’s Jim Gray what he learned after losing his “undefeated” title to Maidana last December, Broner, with a smirk on his face, said:
“At the end of the day, I’m still Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner. The ‘can man.’ Anybody CAN get it. AfriCANS. I just beat the f**k out of a MexiCAN!“
The crowd immediately showered Broner with boo’s and Jim Gray even reprimanded him for his choice of words.
Since making the comment, Broner has given a half-ass apology and claims he loves all Mexicans.

“Saturday Night Live” doesn’t always hit the mark … but when they do, they really do!
And the highlight of this weekend’s episode — hosted by “The Amazing Spiderman 2” actor Andrew Garfield — was a hilarious skit called “The Beygency,” which depicts what could possibly happen to someone if they ever dared admit to not being a “huge fan” of Beyoncé or any of her songs.
In the sketch, an obvious dig at Beyoncé’s loyal fans “The BeyHive,” Garfield is hunted down by a secret government agency called “The Beygency” after he admits that he thinks “Drunk In Love” is only “OK.” Bad move guy. BAD MOVE.
“He turned against his country, and its queen,” a voiceover declared. “A man with nowhere to run and no taste.”
Thanks to the Internet (and the power of “The Beygency,” we assume) the skit has gone viral, and Beyoncé herself has taken to her Instagram to let us all know what she thinks about it.

Columbus Short is letting his wife Tanee McCall know two can play that game.
As we previously reported, McCall filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order against Short after he allegedly choked her out, threatened to kill her and put a knife to her throat. Short had also been accused of ransacking their home over Easter weekend.
But now, Columbus is firing back with a clip showing Tanee beating the crap out of his friend Tilly Key.
The fight went down just a day after Columbus was arrested for domestic violence charges February 18th.
The next day — after Columbus bailed out of jail — he asked his friend Tilly Key to come to his house to pick him up. We’re told Tanee went ballistic when she saw Tilly in the house, and that’s when Tanee attacked.
Tilly wanted TMZ to post the video, to show Tanee is violent and even threatened her life.
Tilly says she suffered a concussion, a cervical sprain, multiple contusions, a lumbar sprain and lumbar strain.
It’s obvious Columbus is trying to prove his wife is violent and he isn’t the only one in the wrong.
Regardless … this still is not a good look for Columbus and he already lost his job on “Scandal,” so he may as well just give it up!
A brawl almost broke out between Lil Wayne and Marcos Maidana‘s trainer after the Mayweather fight this past weekend in Las Vegas.
According to TMZ, Wayne and a few other members of Mayweather’s entourage (possibly including Justin Bieber) were leaving the MGM Grand Arena when someone threw a water bottle that hit Lil Wayne on the shoulder … causing all hell to break loose.
An angry Weezy can be seen in video footage obtained by the gossip site yelling at the top of his lungs at Maidana’s camp while being held back at the same time.
Sources tell TMZ Wayne believed Maidana’s trainer was behind the bottle-throwing and immediately tried to confront him.
In the end, both crews were separated and went along their way.

Last week, T.I. was on the way to Popeye’s in Inglewood, Calif. when he saw a SUV flipped over on one side after getting into a wreck with a cab.
T.I. hopped out of his car to help the passenger, who, despite being in a car upside down, happily responded, “Is that T.I?”
Tip ended up staying with the woman until the ambulance came, but he told TMZ that he decided to get food from another Popeye’s since that one had too much going on. Understandable.
The funny part about the whole story is that the woman in the car didn’t have any underwear on, letting all of her goodies hang out. She told T.I. and he assured her nobody would look. Thankfully the woman is OK though.
This isn’t T.I.’s first time being a good Samaritan. Back in 2010, T.I.P helped convince a suicidal man from jumping off a building in Atlanta.
If you’ve been able to avoid the Internet and all news media for the past few months, good for you. Otherwise, if you’re like us and are subjected to every whim and wham of celebrity happenings, you know that “Kimye” (Kim Kardashian & Kanye West, for the uninitiated) are supposedly getting married sometime this month.
But are they ALREADY married?
That’s the newest rumor on the mill, even though Kim and Kanye aren’t expected to actually walk down the aisle until May 24th in Paris.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are officially married, a source close to the couple tells Life & Style Weekly.
It was reported earlier this week they would be getting their wedding license over the coming days, ahead of the official ceremony which is rumored to be taking place in Paris on May 24.
Now, a source tells Life & Style Kim and Kanye are officially Mr. and Mrs. West.
“Kim and Kanye are now married on paper. They got their license in California over the past few days,” the source said. “Kim and North are on their way to NYC now.”
TMZ reported last Tuesday (Apr 29) that Kimye would be privately married by obtaining a “confidential” marriage license:
Sources tell us … with a confidential license, K&K won’t have to appear publicly at a courthouse to get married … instead, an official from the court will actually go to them and perform the ceremony privately in their home.
And then, in about a month — after they’re already legally married in California — we’ve learned Kim and Kanye will hold a lavish, blow-out wedding ceremony in Paris.
Hate it or love it, “Kimye” is one of the hottest celebrity couples around right now, and Vogue even gave them the honor of having the two of them on the cover of their April 2014 issue, calling them the #WORLDSMOSTTALKEDABOUTCOUPLE.
About the wedding, Kim told the magazine, “People are probably assuming we’re going to have this massive wedding, and I think it will be – but intimate. Two hundred people – just all of our closest friends – a special night for us and all the people that really love us and that have supported us.”
The details surrounding the extravagant nuptials remain a secret, however, we already know that the 33-year-old reality star has already picked out her wedding dress and will reportedly have “multiple costume changes” from several major designers, including Lanvin, Balmain and Givenchy.
Kim and Kanye have been engaged since October 2013 when Ye popped the question with an over-the-top proposal that was recorded for an episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
