Chris Brown

Take a listen to “So Cold,” a new song from Chris Brown. Brown confirmed via his Twitter page that the track, produced by Polow Da Don and co-written by Ester Dean and Teyana Taylor, will indeed be featured on his upcoming third studio album, Graffiti. He just hopes his album doesn’t leak:

OMG as you all know a song leaked today from my album called so cold.. im a lil upset but i pray my album doesnt leak..

im still putting it on the album though. i dont care if its leaked

Within the first 30 – 60 seconds of the song, you already know what it’s about … and who it’s about, without question:

Tell her I’m sorry, I’m really sorry / Can you forgive me? / Please forgive me / And come back home / Keep me safe and warm / Damn my baby’s really gone / I don’t know if she’s coming home / My luck’s up, I f**ked up…

Damn Chris, if this is how you really feel about Rihanna then this is gonna be a loooongg azz 5 years! Brown’s Graffiti is set to drop early next year.

Katy Perry and Rihanna // Karl Lagerfeld Pret a Porter Fashion Show (Paris Womenswear Fashion Week 2009)

It must suck having the paparazzi follow your every move just about every single day of the week. But it doesn’t look like it bothers Rihanna too much. We just hope she pays her PR staff well because she hasn’t released an album or gone on any tours or anything like that in a while and she’s still as relevant as ever.

Of course that little bout she had with Chris Brown assisted in this boost of relevancy, but never-the-less homegirl stays on the front of just about every blog online, whether it’s a story about her screwing Justin Timberlake or pictures of her “going to meetings” (and people gawking at a green notebook).

Anyway, she and her BFF Katy Perry were seen in the front row enjoying the Karl Lagerfeld Pret a Porter Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Show Sunday (Oct 4) at the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris. Ri spent her entire weekend going from show to show enjoying the festivities of Paris Womenswear Fashion Week 2009 over the pond in Paris, France.

Rihanna leaving Hotel de Rome in Berlin, Germany (September 29th 2009)

As a doorman protected her from the rain by holding an umbrella over her head, singer Rihanna posed for pics with fans and signed a few autographs outside the Hotel de Rome in Berlin, Germany Tuesday afternoon (Sep 29).

Rihanna was recently denied entry by a Catholic Church over in Venice due to her choice of attire. After taking a trip on a gondola, the “Umbrella” singer showed up to St. Mark’s Basilica in the Piazza San Marco wearing a skimpy outfit (see pictures here) and they turned her way due to their strict dress code, which states that shoulders and legs must be covered. So she made do by throwing together a makeshift outfit, which looked like two red table cloths from a restaurant. She was in the city for her manager’s wedding over the weekend.

Rihanna outside a building in Soho, New York City (September 22nd 2009)

Singer Rihanna was spotted making her rounds in New York City Tuesday afternoon (Sep 22). Here she can be seen, wearing dark lipstick, thigh high boots and a gray sweatshirt styled skirt, arriving at a building in the Soho district of the city.

In related news, the team behind her new project says you should expect nothing short of greatness when she drops her fourth studio album early next year. She’s been working with Justin Timberlake, along with some other famous names to make sure she hits the industry right with this new LP.

“In my opinion, she’s got the world in the palm of her hand right now, based on her success with her last record,” Justin Timberlake told Access Hollywood before the Emmys. “The stuff we’ve come up with in the studio, it’s the next step for her. It’s a little more grown up. It’s got some edge to it.”

Chase & Status’ Saul Milton and Will Kennard have had a pair of sessions with Rihanna and describe the “Umbrella” singer as very professional and a “really cool girl, down to earth.” They also label her as someone who knows what she wants, musically. “When she doesn’t like something she’ll let you know. When she likes something she’ll let you know as well,” Milton told the BBC. “On one track she came up with some cool melodies and cool ideas, the kind of vibe she wanted. This album for her is just about what she likes and what she’s into and what she wants. If she’s not into the vibe she’ll be like, ‘Nope, I don’t think it’s for me.’” The pair also promise their “trademark big beats and big bass” on their Rihanna cuts.

Video Spoof: Who's gonna hunt Chris Brown tonight?

Funny man Affion Crockett recently posted this hilarious video spoof to his YouTube page. The video is a parody of Jay-Z’s “Run This Town,” featuring Rihanna and Kanye West, but has a big twist. Instead of the words, “Who’s gonna run this town tonight,” the female portraying Rihanna in the song/video is saying “Who’s gonna hunt Chris Brown tonight?” and the whole video has Rihanna, along with Jay and Kanye (both played by Affion) leading a manhunt to hunt down Chris, also played by Affion. The beginning of the video is completely hilarious as it shows Affion dressed up in a blue sweater and a bow tie mocking Chris’ Larry King interview. You’ve just gotta watch the whole thing… Continue reading to check it out!

Rihanna at LAX airport in Los Angeles (September 15th 2009)

Fresh from her performance with Jay-Z and Kanye West the night before at the Jay Leno Show in Los Angeles, a very cheerful Rihanna was spotted making her way through the terminals at LAX airport Tuesday (Sep 15) to catch a flight out of the city so that she could soak up the events of NY Fashion Week this week.

It seems as though her ex boyfriend Chris Brown still has feelings for her. He posted this to his Twitter early this morning:

MY HEART IS INCOMPLETE… the part that is complete is my love for fans, career, friends, family.. god. but im missing someone or somthing.

He then linked to a fan-made YouTube video featuring old pictures of him and Rihanna with “Changed Man” playing in the background. Of course, he later deleted the tweet and replaced it with this message:

I AINT POSTIN S*** ELSE ABOUT ME(PERSONALLY)…. IM SO OVER ALL THIS BULLS***..

Kanye West interview with Jay Leno + "Run This Town" performance (click to watch!)

Following his much publicized outburst at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, rapper Kanye West sat down with famous TV personality Jay Leno for a short interview aired on the live premiere of Leno’s new primetime show, “The Jay Leno Show” Monday night. In the interview, a very somber Kanye West apologized (for the third time) and explained his side of the situation while making sure he wasn’t trying to justify his own actions.

When Leno recalled meeting West’s late mother Dr. Donda West (who passed away in November 2007) and asked Kanye what she would have thought about his actions Sunday night (Sep 13) at the VMAs, the Chicago bred rapper sat silent for more than 20 seconds to try and compose himself. The live audience was also dead silent as they wanted to hear what Kanye had to say.

“Obviously, I deal with hurt, and so many celebrities, they never take the time off, and I never took the time off, really,” West explained. “I’ve really never taken the time off. It’s been music after music and tour after tour. And I’m just ashamed my hurt caused someone else hurt.”

Leno said West asked to speak prior to the Jay-Z-led performance and thanked the superstar for honoring the commitment to perform. West said the past 24 hours had been extremely difficult for him. He said he immediately knew his behavior was inappropriate and apologized for stepping on Swift’s emotion, as the young starlet was jittery onstage celebrating her big VMA win. “It was just very rude, period,” West said. “I’d like to apologize to her in person.”

Leno tried to lighten the mood at times, asking West when he knew his protest crossed the line. “As soon as I gave the mic back to her and she didn’t keep going,” he said to a small laugh from the audience. West, however, was anything but humorous throughout his three minutes with Leno. He teared up when the talk-show host brought up his late mother, whom he lost in November 2007 due to complications following cosmetic surgery. The rapper addressed his broken engagement and mother’s passing in his last album, 808s & Heartbreak, but he’s attempted to deal with his emotions onstage rather than behind closed doors.

Now, he appears to be ready to confront some buried pains in private. “I have to analyze how I’m gonna make it through the rest of this life and improve,” he said.
