Not too long ago, Chris Brown legally became a convicted felon and was told to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna, 10 yards if at the same event. But according to a mutual friend, both Chris and Rihanna think the clause is pointless and impractical.

“They think it’s unnecessary and ridiculous. After [the proceeding], Ri and Chris talked on the phone for almost an hour and really worked at becoming friends. They’re solid now,” the mutual friend said.

Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, is furious at the sentencing that Chris Brown received for assaulting his daughter. The “Take You Down” singer was assigned six months community service and five years of probation for his felony assault. But Rihanna’s father thinks he should have received more.

“He should be in jail. Chris should have been sent to jail for what he did to my girl. He’s got off lightly. Chris put her through hell.”

Both Chris Brown and Rihanna are expected to appear at tonight’s BET Awards and according to his sentencing, he is to be no less than 10 yards away from her.

We can finally say “case closed” on that crazy incident that went down between young superstars Chris Brown and Rihanna back in February 2009. Chris pleaded guilty Monday (Jun 22) on charges of assault against his former girlfriend, which was the result of an agreement between prosecutors. The plea deal includes five years of probation, attending courses on domestic violence and Brown must perform 180 days of community service in his home state of Virginia. In addition to the punishments above, he was ordered to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna, excluding public events where he is legally required to be at least 10 yards away from her. He will not spend a second behind bars.

Rihanna already has to testify against her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown Monday in court, but if a university professor gets his way, she just might have to make another court appearance pretty soon. The pop singer is currently renting a Los Angeles home owned by Stephen Yacobian, and UCLA design and media art professor Christian Moeller lives next door to the home. Apparently, Moeller gave Yacobian an easement, which gives Yacobian the right to drive cars on a portion of Moeller’s property.

Apparently the property was renovated two years ago and the easement wasn’t really being used and now Moeller claims that Rihanna lets cars drive on his lawn to get to her driveway. And according to the suit, which was filed in LA Tuesday, sometimes the cars just sit there (unmoved) on the lawn. So to make a long story short, Moeller wants the easement eliminated and he wants Rihanna to pay up for allowing her guests and their cars to trespass on his property.

Ex-lovers Chris Brown and Rihanna made a lot of noise Thursday (Jun 11) at Game 4 of the 2009 NBA Finals Thursday (Jun 11) night in Orlando, FL as the Lakers defeated the Magic with a final score of 99 to 91.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen these two out and about under the same roof and even though they didn’t sit anywhere near each other, the media caused quite a frenzy prior to the game by saying they requested seats together. But we already knew that story was just a pot of bullsh*t just to get people talking.
