Over the weekend, Beyonce performed in front of her biggest crowd of 60,000 people in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and she was spotted getting some fresh air on the balcony of her plush hotel in Brazil Monday morning (Feb 8) with absolutely no make-up on, some tiny shorts, and a loose cut t-shirt! For this week’s YouTube Friday, we have two sisters who have been making some splashes around the popular video-sharing site.

Born to Nigerian parents, Ivana (18) and Jessica (17) Nwokike grew up in the African country until the ages of seven and nine. Growing up, both Ivana and Jessica were surrounded by music whether it be Elton John or Michael Jackson. They both recall watching music videos and recreating the dance moves from big acts like the Spice Girls, Britney Spears and TLC back in the day, and watching tapes from the singers their mom brought to Nigeria. “We definitely grew up singing, and we don’t remember a time we weren’t trying to sing,” the ladies told Gossip On This.

Their influences include Destiny’s Child, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and the rest of the “diva” singers. But they also draw inspiration from British soul singers like Amy Winehouse, Duffy, Adele, and today’s newer artists: Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, and Ne-Yo. To say that their harmonies are “on point” would be an understatement. So much that their upload views have exceeded 5.2 million. The duo has decided to take up the name VanJess and just in case you’re wondering, Ivana wears glasses and Jessica is usually on the left in their latest clips.

Uh oh! Looks like Jay-Z got played. Many of you might remember when it was publicly announced that Jay-Z was in the process of building his very own hotel called “J Hotel” in partnership with Charlie Blaichman and Abe Shnay of SK Development and CB Developers. The hotel was set to be built on property in New York City at 510 West 22nd St.

But since the economy tanked, the project has been put on hold. Since then Jay and his company has been trying to sell it back to investment firm Highland Capital Management, but they have bnen procrastinating in getting the deal done, which has cost Jay over a million dollars in interest. Now, the Jigga man has filed a lawsuit against the company for $3.7 million.

“This action arises out of the efforts by defendants to bleed additional funds from the plaintiff,” the rapper’s lawyers stated in legal documents.

Cold game. This is what the Business World is all about. Poor Jay. Alot of people wanted to see him build this hotel. Maybe next time.

Beyonce posed for pictures and spoke to the press as she launched her brand new fragrance “Beyonce Heat” at Macy’s Herald Square earlier today in the midtown Manhattan area of New York City.

Last night, Bey and her posse took over NYC’s Union Square with a launch party celebrating the fragrance. Her sister Solange was behind the turntable mixing up track serving as the evening’s DJ.

With her sister Solange behind the turntables mixing up hits as the DJ, Beyonce celebrated the launch of her new “Heat” fragrance with a a party Tuesday night (Feb 2) at 15 Union Square in New York City. The VIP guest list included Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z (who turned down photo opps) mom Tina, her former Destiny’s Child group mate Michelle Williams, R&B singer Usher and TV personality Sherri Shepherd. We all know who wasn’t invited.

“If I had one scent that I would leave as my signature, it would be Heat. I hope that everyone is ready to catch the fever!” So said Beyoncé Knowles of her debut fragrance, Beyoncé Heat, at a star-studded launch party last night (complete with light show) in New York City’s Union Square.

The sultry 28-year-old, clad in a body-hugging red dress by Marc Bouwer, is (Sasha) fiercely proud of the signature eau she created with Coty. “I wanted it to be original and I didn’t want it to be like all the other celebrity brands.” explained Knowles. “It’s been two years in the making. Every little detail is very personal, so I’m extremely proud.”

And so far, the fragrance has been getting good reviews. Knowles has been testing the fragrance herself, wearing it on tour for the past year — “I never got so many compliments” — and, just the other night, to a little event called the Grammys. “My husband was like ‘You got 6 Grammys and you smell good.’”

Well what do ya know. Mathew Knowles (Beyonce and Solange’s daddy) really did father an illegitimate child while he was married to Tina, which prompted her to file for divorce last fall.

Sources say that Alexsandra Wright had a paternity test done recently after giving birth to her daughter, and Mathew Knowles is indeed the father. No word on how Bey Bey, Tina or Solange are taking the news of their newest family member, but we’re sure they aren’t too happy. It is said that Tina’s recent file for divorce was due to Mathew’s cheating.

Lady Gaga and Beyonce shot the music video for their big collaboration single “Telephone” last week in California and here are a few pictures straight from the set!

Bey and Gaga filmed acting, performance and dancing scenes inside a diner on the side of the road in the desert, then filmed scenes inside a truck named the “P*ssy Wagon,” which just so happens to be the same truck used by actress Uma Thurman in the two-part epic film “Kill Bill.” The vehicle is now owned by Quentin Tarantino (who wrote “Kill Bill”) and the writer/director was generous enough to loan it to Beyonce and Lady Gaga for the video shoot. Actor/model/singer Tyrese was also seen on the set during the diner scene. He confirmed via his Twitter page last week that he was the love interest in the clip.

According to New York Magazine, the video for “Telephone” is a continuation of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” video and includes scenes of Beyonce rescuing Gaga from prison.

Just before Beyonce hit the stage at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards she and the songwriting/producing team behind her chart topping single “Single Ladies” had already won a Grammy for “Song of the Year.” And when it was her time to perform she proved exactly why she won six Grammys throughout the course of the telecast (she even earned a couple during the pre-telecast).

But instead of telling the crowd to “put a ring on it,” Bey opted to perform “If I Were A Boy” with a cover of Alanis Morisette’s “You Oughtta Know” thrown in. She even did the Dutty Wine! (LOL) Not necessarily our favorite performance, but it was nowhere near a “bad performance.”
