Jay Z & Beyoncé’s “On The Run Tour” to Air on HBO September 20th

UPDATE: HBO has confirmed that the special will air September 20th!

Beyoncé & Jay Z are traveling across the country and will also make a stop in Europe for their “On The Run Tour,” and while most (if not all) dates have essentially sold out, those of us who missed out on seeing the show live will get a chance to see it on television, thanks to HBO.

Last Thursday, the network announced at the TCA summer press tour that they will premiere “On The Run Tour: Beyoncé and Jay Z” this September.

The special will be filmed during the September 12th and 13th dates in Paris at the Stade de France and will feature Beyoncé and Jay Z performing more than 40 songs from their respective catalogs in their first collaborative tour.

“This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO,” said HBO’s president of programming Michael Lombardo. “It’s going to be a night to remember.”

Bey and Jay’s “On The Run Tour” — which will travel to 19 dates in the United States and two in Paris, France — kicked off last month in Miami.

This isn’t the couple’s first dance with HBO either, as Beyoncé is currently appearing in “Beyoncé: X10,” a 10-episode series of four-minute segments from her “Mrs. Carter Show Tour” that air before new episodes of the final season of “True Blood.”

Beyoncé also appeared in her feature documentary “Life Is But A Dream” last February 2013, and Jay Z’s “Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film” premiered on HBO in August.

Ahead of the September 2014 premiere of “On The Run Tour: Beyoncé and Jay Z,” HBO has released the first official trailer showing a small hint of what we can expect later this summer.

Karrueche Tran Cries About Chris Brown, Rihanna Love Triangle on “Just Keke”

Karrueche Tran is a pretty good example of what a ride-or-die chick should be. To put it simply, when Chris Brown said “these hoes ain’t loyal,” he definitely wasn’t talking about her.

Karrueche didn’t hold a thing back while talking with Keke Palmer on her new BET talk show “Just Keke” about her relationship with the R&B/Pop superstar.

In an interview that will air this Wednesday (Jul 16), the fashion designer teared up about not only how hard it is dealing with the drama that comes from dating a celebrity of Chris Brown’s caliber, but also dealing with his superstar ex girlfriend’s crazy fans on Twitter.

We all know about the love triangle between Chris Brown, Rihanna and Karrueche … but what we never hear about is how Karrueche feels, and now she is finally speaking out about it.

Asked by Keke how she manages to move forward and keep going despite everything else, Karrueche said, “Just keeping a level head and positivity. I’ve never dated a celebrity before so it was very new to me. Paparazzi and all that. And then, even the situation with Rihanna, you know the reason why people tuned into this so much was because it’s relatable.”

She continued, “I have girlfriends, I have family who’s gone through the same situation. It’s the case of the ex. We all go through it, do you know what I’m saying? But, however … in this case my boyfriend is a celebrity who’s ex-girlfriend is an even bigger [celebrity]. Do you know what I’m saying? So, not only am I fighting a battle with her, I’m fighting a battle with her 14 million fans or however else. So, imagine how that feels for me when I gotta get on Twitter and I see a whole bunch of stuff…”

Keke then asked Karrueche what was hardest part about dating a high profile celebrity, and that’s when the tears started flowing.

“Um, jeez. I guess I would say the heartbreak because it was a real situation,” she said crying. “Yeah, it was a real life situation.”

Yung Joc’s Wife Alexandria Robinson Files for Divorce

We watch Yung Joc go through drama every week with Karlie Redd on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” but now it looks like he’s going through some real life behind the scenes drama.

TMZ is reporting that Joc’s wife (and high school sweetheart) Alexandria Robinson has filed to divorce the 31-year-old ATL rapper.

The two have been married 13 years and have three kids together (Ja’Kori, Amir, and Chase Robinson), though they have been separated since February 2012, according to the divorce documents.

Mrs. Robinson has acknowledged that she wants both spousal and child support, and she is citing “adultery” as grounds for divorce, because obviously.

With all that being said, we have a a few burning questions.

One, who the hell knew Yung Joc has been married for over a decade? So does that mean this ninja was a married man when he was asking people to meet him at the trap back in 2005? Guess so.

Two, why was Karlie Redd on his “Joc” so hard about cheating on her with other women when clearly he was cheating on his wife to be with her? Typical thot tendencies, SMH.

And three, did Joc’s wife know this whole time he was cheating on her? Or was this something new she picked up while channel surfing and landing on VH1 only to find out her estranged husband was airing out his sidepiece shenanigans on reality television?

Here is Drake & Chris Brown Reconciling in the Studio

Rihanna who???

It looks like Drake and Chris Brown are no longer beefing over Rihanna.

A photo emerged online this morning showing the two in the studio together.

We’d heard about them being cordial to one another backstage in Las Vegas last year, but this here is visual proof that their beef is officially squashed.

No one knows what they were working on, but whatever it is, we know it will be nothing short of greatness.

This comes as good news considering they’ve gone from making diss records to throwing bottles at each other in the club, all over Rihanna.

Now Team Drizzy and Team Breezy can finally be friends now.

Usher: “She Came To Give It To You” feat. Nicki Minaj (NEW MUSIC)

We’re not the biggest fans of Usher’s “Good Kisser” song, but he may something on his hands with this one!

Usher teams up with Nicki Minaj and Pharrell Williams on his new single “She Came To Give It To You.”

The song, produced by Pharrell, has a Justin Timberlake vibe to it, but nonetheless it’s a good track!

Usher’s next album, which currently has no title, will be dropping sometime this fall.

Did Apollo Nida Snitch To Get A Reduced Prison Sentence?

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida doesn’t give a damn about the phrase “snitches get stitches.”

Apollo appeared in court Tuesday (Jul 8) and was sentenced to 8 years in prison for money laundering, but according to TMZ, the husband of RHOA cast member Phaedra Parks would have been sentenced to 30 years had he not cooperated with the feds by “spilling criminal secrets.”

Or in other words … he snitched on everybody he knows.

We guess Phaedra really wants no part involved in any of this foolery, but who could blame her.

Not only is your husband a criminal, but he’s also a snitch! All of his street-cred just went out the window.

Nida was accused by federal prosecutors of participating in a four-year scheme that cost over 50 victims a total of $2.3 million. He pleaded guilty to the charges on May 6th and he will remain out on bond until he is ordered to report to prison to serve his sentence.

Nida was also ordered by the U.S. District Court to pay restitution to the victims of his offenses, and a separate hearing has been scheduled for July 17th to determine the amount.

Wale Responds to Meek Mill Calling Him Out, Releases New Song “The Followers”

Tuesday (Jul 8) was a big day for Wale!

Not only did the MMG rapper get called out on Twitter for being a “hatin’ ass cornball” by his labelmate Meek Mill over Wale not supporting Meek’s new album, but he also released his new single “The Followers.”

“Ok well I have been in a different space writing a lot reading a lot and keeping to myself.  Retracing my steps, here is a new song called “the followers” just basically talkin about where I been at mentally. Tryna bring u closer to #nothing album.” Wale tweeted.

Listen to the track below:

Before releasing the song, Wale took to his own Twitter and Instagram and responded to Meek calling him out with a long-winded message:

Lindsay Lohan is Suing “Grand Theft Auto V” for Using Her Likeness

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly suing the makers of the popular video game “Grand Theft Auto” over the likeness of a character that she believed is directly derived exclusively from her.

Lohan filed the lawsuit last Wednesday (Jul 2) against Grand Theft Auto V’s developers Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive Software claiming they used her image and likeness without her permission.

So does that mean she would have been OK with it if they asked her (and, of course, paid her money) first? Probably not, but that’s her story and she’s sticking to it.

According to Yahoo Games:

Lohan, who’s tumultuous personal life has earned her far more fame than her onscreen roles, believes that a minor in-game character, Lacey Jonas, is based on her likeness. The suit also notes that the game features the infamous Chateau Marmont hotel, where Lohan once lived in West Hollywood.

In the game, meeting Jonas launches an optional side mission in which players must escape an aggressive gang of paparazzi.

“Can you give me a ride past them, please?” asks the character. “I’m hardly wearing any makeup. This is a disaster. I’m so [expletive] fat. How’s my hair? Do I look cute?”

Once the photographers have been ditched, the character complains about the difficulties of fame, noting a divide between her and her parents and hinting at an anorexic lifestyle.

It also doesn’t help that the woman used on the promo posters for GTA V really resembles Lindsay Lohan.

Reps for Take-Two and Rockstar have declined to comment on the lawsuit because it’s against their policy to publicly discuss legal matters.

#UNOTMMG: Meek Mill Calls Wale A “Hatin’ A** Cornball” for Not Supporting His New Album

As Momma Dee would say, “there’s a ruckus going on in the MMG palace!”

Tuesday morning (Jul 8), Meek Mill called out his labelmate Wale for not supporting/promoting his upcoming sophomore album Dreams Worth More Than Money.

The whole beef came to surface after Meek and MMG boss Rick Ross revealed the release date for Meek’s new album, but Meek took it to heart when Wale didn’t tweet anything about it.

Meek went on to basically call Wale a “hatin’ a** cornball” and accused him of not being MMG.

Check out the tweets below:

There’s probably more to this than just promotion and supporting. Seems like Wale has been a hater for some time now, unless Meek just got caught up in his feelings and may have taken it too personal, but it’s more likely the former rather than the latter.

All we know is … Rick Ross is somewhere about to have a light stroke over this. Either that, or he’s somewhere binge-eating lemon pepper wings, all while drowning his sorrows in cookie dough ice cream.

Kevin Hart Catches Man Bootlegging “Think Like A Man Too,” Buys Himself A Copy

One thing we can always say about Kevin Hart is that the guy has a great sense of humor.

The comedian/actor recently returned to his hometown of Philadelphia only to find a bootlegger who was selling his film “Think Like A Man Too.”

Hart didn’t take any offense to the guy bootlegging the film and went on to buy a copy from him.

Kevin later posted a video on his Instagram and wrote in the caption he supports everybody.

When I come home I support everybody damn it….even the bootleg man…Go see #thinklikeamantoo #nowplaying #PhillyForLife #iLoveMyCity

This guy!!! (LOL)

Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan: “I Got It” (NEW MUSIC)

Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug‘s new song “I Got It” is horrible.

I don’t know what’s worse, the ridiculously simple chorus or the fact that Young Thug sounds like he’s dying a slow and painful death from hypothermia.

“Get TF Out of My Face” was actually good song, as was “New Atlanta” (their collaboration with Migos) but this here? I’d rather listen to a Lil B album.

The track is featured on DJ Plugg‘s new mixtape I Am the Plug, which was released Sunday (Jul 6) by producer C4. Also be on the lookout for C4’s next mixtape with Young Thug called Nerds.

Take a listen to Rich Homie Quan & Young Thug’s “I Got It” below:

Webbie Says 50 Cent Owes Him $1 Million Over Boxing Bet

PAY UP, FIDDY!

Lil Boosie’s BFF rapper Webbie claims 50 Cent owes him a whopping $1 million dollars … over a boxing bet!

According to Webbie, he and 50 made a bet at the Terence Crawford-Yuriorkis Gamboa lightweight title fight last weekend.

For those who don’t know, Fiddy manages Gamboa and Webbie is good friends with Crawford.

In a video captured by TMZ (above), Webbie says he walked in the ring with Crawford and made the bet with Two Quarters, but so far Five Dimes hasn’t forked over any cash:

Webbie says he walked his homie Crawford into the ring where he greeted 50 Cent and immediately threw down a challenge: “I say 50, what’s happening? I say I got a mil on my dawg!”

Cut to the 9th round when Crawford knocked out Gamboa, and BOOM … $1 MILLION payday for Webbie … or so he thought. In the clip, it sounds like the Louisiana rapper thinks he’s getting stiffed.

TMZ reached out to Ten Nickles’ sports management company SMS Promotions, however they claim they’re just now hearing about the bet.

Who knows? Webbie ain’t got it all anyway … so this could be something he just made up in his head, SMH!

Rich Homie Quan Smacked a Fan at a Show in Wisconsin

Rich Homie Quan had to lay the smack down on a random fan this past weekend.

The “Type of Way” rapper was performing at 3 Monkeys in Racine, Wisconsin when a fan holding onto his harm tried to pull himself onstage.

Quan definitely felt some type of way about the fan’s actions and pimp slapped the guy in front of the whole crowd.

After the incident, he tweeted:

Katt Williams Under Investigation for Allegedly Pulling a Gun Out on Someone in Hollywood

Katt Williams is back to making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

The comedian/actor allegedly pulled a gun out on someone last Tuesday night (Jul 1) at the Comedy Store in West Hollywood.

Eyewitnesses inside the comedy club tell TMZ Katt wasn’t performing on stage, but he got really violent when a random heckler started talking smack about his height and race. One witness claims Katt threatened the heckler with a gun.

Cops were called and rushed to the scene immediately after more than half a dozen black and white cruisers responded to the call of a man with a gun, NY Daily News reported.

TMZ captured footage of deputies strapped and ready to shoot outside of the club in case of a confrontation, however Katt had already left the club before they arrived.

No arrest warrant had been issued out for Williams, but cops were still investigating.

“There was some kind of dispute between Katt Williams and someone else at the Comedy Store,” Sgt. Dave Valentine of the LASD told E! News, noting that the incident occurred at around 2 a.m. “The dispute carried on down the street at which point it is alleged that Katt pulled out a weapon and threatened the other guy.”

“The incident is currently under investigation and in the hands of the detectives,” he added. There was no official word yet on what prompted the dispute and we’re told that Williams had not yet been in touch with the [Los Angeles Sherrif’s Dept].

We all know Katt is no stranger when it comes to run-ins in with the law … so this comes as no surprise.

Meanwhile, Katt tells TMZ he’s the victim in the situation. He said he was “verbally attacked and threatened by 4 gangbangers” who kept calling him “Cuz.”

The comedian goes on to say things got physical when the 4 guys followed him to his car and began assaulting him. But Katt says he never pulled a gun … never even had one. So the 911 call reporting he was brandishing a weapon is absurd … or so he says.

As for those so-called “gangbangers” who kept calling Katt “Cuz,” they too spoke to TMZ and shared their side of the story, calling Williams a “gun-toting lunatic” and making it a point to note that they have nothing to do with gangs.

They were, in fact, simply outside the club shooting a documentary “From the Hood to Hollywood.”

From TMZ:

They say they spotted Katt and asked if they could shoot him for the doc, but he angrily said no. They claim a woman then pulled up, popped the trunk, Katt went inside and pulled out 2 big guns … then walked over to their car and smashed in the window with the butt of one of the guns.

The guy who was driving says the glass shattered and he suffered cuts. The 4 filmmakers say Katt can expect a lawsuit. As for Katt, he tells us, “Whatever the gangbangers say.”

Hi-Five Singer Russell Neal Charged with Murder After Allegedly Killing Wife

Former Hi-Five singer Russell Neal is in police custody on murder charges after turning himself in last Wednesday (Jul 2) saying his wife was dead in their apartment.

According to local news reports, the 40-year-old 90’s R&B singer walked into the Harris County Sheriff Dept. building and told them his wife was dead in their Houston, TX apartment and he needed a lawyer.

Police officers then reportedly forced entry into the apartment, where they found Neal’s wife — 24-year-old Catherine Martinez — lying dead under a blanket on the living room floor. She’d suffered multiple stab wounds as well as blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives said Neal — whose Texas-based R&B group “Hi-Five” had a No. 1 single in 1991 with “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)” — told them that he and Martinez had gotten into an argument, but he refused to answer anymore questions and immediately asked for an attorney.

Neal’s wife, the victim, was a “hot, 24-year-old fitness model” and “aspiring boxer who went by the name Brasilia,” TMZ reported.

Neal and his wife Catherine Martinez had two young sons, however law enforcement sources say they were no witnesses to the murder, so it seems as though the children weren’t there when their mother was killed. They are now staying with other family members.

Debbie Engel, an attorney for Hi-Five, said on behalf of the group, “This is an unfortunate situation and our prayers go out to both families involved.”

Russell Neal remained in jail with a bond set at $100,000 and his first court date was set for today.

Lil Wayne Debuts Daughter Reginae Carter’s “Mind Goin Crazy” Video

It looks like Reginae Carter is following in the footsteps of her father Lil Wayne.

The 15-year-old singer, a former member of the OMG Girlz has decided to give a solo career a shot and is currently working on her debut album Becoming Reginae.

In this week’s episode of “Weezy Wednesdays,” Wayne introduces his daughter as a Young Money artist and premieres her new video for her debut single “Mind Goin’ Crazy.”

“This week is all about my daughter… shout out to all the Reginators out there,” Weezy said. “…I know y’all saw her do her thing at the [BET] awards, and she rep’d us, ya dig? I want y’all to know that she’s officially stamped as a Young Money artist… yes, Reginae Carter is a Young Money artist. And not only am I telling you that, I’m actually about to give you the first look at her first video, ‘Mind Goin’ Crazy.'”

Reginae is the 15-year-old daughter of Lil Wayne and Antonia “Toya” Wright, and not only is she working onher debut album and book, but she also recently teamed up with Birdman’s daughter Bria Williams to launch a new clothing line called YMCMP (Young Money Cash Money Princesses).

In a 2013 interview, Young Money President Mack Maine described Reginae as a “super megastar” and said we can “expect greatness” from her in the future.

“Preachers of L.A.” Season 2 Premieres August 20th on Oxygen: Watch the Sneak Peak Trailer

The “Preachers of L.A.” are back for another season of juggling church, family and their own humanity on Oxygen.

“Preachers of L.A.” follows the lives of and gives a revealing look at six boldly different, world-renowned mega-pastors in Southern California: Bishop Noel Jones, Minister Deitrick Haddon, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Pastor Jay Haizlip, Pastor Wayne Chaney and Bishop Ron Gibson.

According to Oxygen, the show’s inaugural season, which aired last year and averaged over one million total viewers per episode, was the “most watched freshman series in network history.”

The network said the series had success on the digital front as well, with more full episode streams per week in season than any other Oxygen original series. “Preachers” was also a Top 10 most social cable reality program in October and November 2013, and on VOD, the show earned over two million transactions. #Winning!

Now, “the boys are back in town,” as the popular 70’s song song goes, and according to the press release, “Preachers of L.A.” Season 2 is “full of self-discovery and change with growing families and ministries, incredible women of strength beside them, and ever-changing relationships.”

Bishop Jones and Loretta’s relationship is still evolving, but Bishop Gibson and Lady LaVette’s strong convictions keep them from accepting the nature of their friends’ close bond, causing a devastating rift.

With his focus on ministry and not his personal life, Bishop Jones enlists the help of his fellow preachers to create an event that will positively impact the community of Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, after much turmoil, Deitrick and Dominique are now married and have a new addition to their family — but their marital bliss is short-lived when Pastor Jay accuses Deitrick of deceiving him at their wedding.

Family dynamics are also rocked when Pastor Jay and Christy’s relationship is put to the test as Pastor Jay struggles to forgive a family member for their past demons.

Bishop McClendon is focused on the expansion of his new ministry in Atlanta, but he is challenged when he must deal with every father’s fear — giving his daughter away to another man.

Pastor Wayne Chaney and First Lady Myesha must balance business with personal now that she is the newly appointed Executive Pastor of their church.

And while Myesha is feeling better than ever after getting healthy and shedding 40 pounds, the couple struggles with a life-altering decision about the future of their family.

The second season of Oxygen’s “Preachers of L.A.” premieres on Wednesday, August 20th at 10 p.m.

Nicki Minaj Explains Her Iggy Azalea Shade

Nicki Minaj has set the record straight regarding comments she made earlier this week at the BET Awards when she allegedly shaded Iggy Azalea.

During her acceptance speech for “Best Female Hip Hop Artist” Sunday night (Jun 29) at the 2014 BET Awards, Nicki Minaj seemed to throw shade at another female rapper.

“When you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it,” she said before quickly adding, “No shade, no shade!”

Many interpreted her statement as a jab at Iggy Azalea, and Nicki has since taken to Twitter to explain herself.

“The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different,” she wrote on the popular micro-blogging site. “I will always take a stance on women writing because I believe in us! I believe we’re smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like the men do. I’ve been saying this for five years.”

“I fell in love with Lauryn Hill because I knew she was the author behind those amazingly profound and articulated songs on the The Miseducation [of Lauryn Hill],” she continued. “I wondered how Lauryn tapped into my brain and wrote an album on love, betrayal, passion, pain, triumph, brokenness. Did she read minds? It’s the same reason I have a different level of respect for Missy [Elliot]. I know she’s a writer and a producer. Women must aspire for more.”

She concluded, “I’ve congratulated Iggy on the success of ‘Fancy,’ publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should be proud. That will never change my desire to motivate women to write. Our voices have to be heard. I hope I inspire up-and-coming females to do that.”

Young Thug: I’ve Recorded “A Million Songs” With Lil Wayne

Young Thug has revealed that he has recorded not just one, one hundred, one thousand or even one hundred thousand, but ONE MILLION songs with Lil Wayne.

In an interview with MTV News on the 2014 BET Awards red carpet, Young Thug — who in the past has called the Young Money head honcho his idol — claimed, “I recorded a million tracks with Wayne already.”

We’re almost 100% certain he’s exaggerating (BIG TIME), because not only is it impossible for someone to record a million songs, but who would record a million songs with Young Thug?

Aside from his forthcoming Weezy collaboration, the ATL rapper also revealed he has something with Nicki Minaj in the works.

“I’m gonna do something for my project and [Nicki’s] project because we’re family,” he said, adding, “it wouldn’t be right if I just did hers, and it won’t be right if she just did mine.”

Thugger also commented on his alleged signing to Lyor Cohen’s 300 imprint, brushing off the reports and pledging his allegiance to Birdman‘s Rich Gang management company.

“We signed forever,” he said “It’s not no 300, it’s not no 100, 250–whatever you call it, it’s a lifetime warranty, you dig? It’s in and out. Blood in, blood out.”

Lil Wayne: “Tha Carter V” is Finished & Will Drop in August or September

Lil Wayne has given his fans an update on the release of his highly anticipated album Tha Carter V.

Weezy is known for his album pushbacks, but he always comes through with a top notch project that ends up selling millions of records, so it wasn’t surprising to hear that Tha Carter V‘s original May 5th release date would be pushed back to a later date.

But in a new interview with MTV, while Weezy is still unsure of an exact release date for his rumored last major studio album, he assured fans that his album is 100% finished.

“I think it drops in like September or August, I don’t know. It might drop before that in July, I don’t know,” he said. “I’m finished.”

Someone off camera then informed Weezy that the record would be dropping either on August 25th or 29th (likely the 25th though since it’s a Tuesday and albums are usually released on Tuesdays, but you never know…), which is far from “official,” but that’s all we have to work with for now.

Last month, in an episode of his “Weezy Wednesday” weekly video series, the YMCMB head honcho announced that he would be releasing another album, in addition to Carter V, and he also touched on that in his MTV interview, saying that the project would drop around “2 months” after C5.

“If Tha Carter was to drop in August, it would be October,” he revealed of the project, which he plans on calling D.O.A. (Da Other Album).
