Alleged video footage showing one of the men responsible for XXXTentacion’s murder bragging about the deed and mocking the rapper has hit the web.
The footage shows a man wearing a red mask over his face, similar to the description given to police of XXX’s killer. The man brags about killing XXX and says the rapper did something to his cousin, citing that as the reason why he was shot and killed. The man also mocks the rapper, saying that his last words were him begging for his life.
“What y’all doing bro?! I don’t got nothing, what y’all doing bro?! What y’all doing bro, I don’t got nothing bro! Please please don’t do it! I got kids, I got people to live for,” the masked man says, laughing at and mocking the rapper’s alleged last words. “F*** that X n**** man, y’all know what it is with us.” The masked man also says that the police are “about to pin the wrong n****s with the murder” and calls XXX a “b**ch a** n****.”
“You should’ve never did that to my cousin… he know what he did,” the man adds. “He know what’s up with us, he know what happened. F*** him.” He goes on to issue threats against other South Florida rappers: “You do any f*** sh** we gone come for you.”
The masked man said XXX “only had $10,000” in the Louis Vuitton bag he and his accomplices took from the scene. “F*** him, I don’t give a f***, I’m already wanted for a murder and robberies and sh** around Florida.” The man even taunts police, telling them to “come for me,” but then turns the camera to point out that he’s in an undisclosed wooded area. “B**ch a** n****s, y’all don’t know where I’m at,” he says.
He ends the video saying to XXXTentacion: “F**k you and your fans.” If the guy in this video is, in fact, one of the men involved in XXX’s killing, he’s got to be one of the dumbest MFs alive for bragging about it on the internet. It’s only a matter of time before the police catch up to him, considering he says he already has warrants out for his arrest.
Police have already arrested one of the men involved with the rapper’s murder, 22-year-old Florida tattoo artist Dedrick Devonshay Williams, and they say they are still looking for the other two alleged killers, who both have warrants out for their arrests.
According to a detective’s sworn affidavit, the XXXTentacion’s killers were tracking him in his final moments Monday afternoon (Jun. 18). The affidavit states that the Williams and another man followed the 20-year-old rapper into RIVA Motorsports before shooting and robbed him in his car less than a half hour later. The court documents also say that XXXTentacion (real name: Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy) was specifically targeted in the attack and struggled with the masked men before he was shot to death.
Broward Sheriff’s deputies were able to quickly identify Williams because he was seen wearing the same orange sandals he had on when he killed XXXTentacion in several photos posted on his Instagram and Facebook pages. Williams’ identity was also confirmed by eyewitnesses and employees of the motorcycle shop. Williams was taken into custody within 48 hours and charged with first-degree murder for X’s shooting death. He appeared in court the next day and was denied bond.
In Williams’ arrest report, authorities noted that they don’t believe he’s the one who pulled the trigger, however, his active role in the homicide led to him being arrested on a premeditated murder charge. Williams’ brother posted a video on social media denying Williams’ involvement in the shooting.
A New York City community is searching for answers after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed by a group of men and left to die on the street in plain view of people nearby who watched in horror.
According to reports, Lesandro Guzman-Feliz was stabbed multiple times with a machete after getting into an argument with a group of men in a bodega near his home in the Bronx Wednesday night (Jun. 20).
The video shows five men—at least two with their faces covered with shirts—dragging Guzman-Feliz outside and stabbing him all over his body, including both sides of his neck.
One of the attackers can be seen hacking at the teen with a machete while another one punches him over and over before the group speeds off in two separate cars.
Police released these photos of the suspects sought in connection with the murder of 15-year-old Lesandro Guzman-Feliz.
Guzman-Feliz was left bleeding to death and screaming on the corner with his hands raised before running across the street to a hospital, police said.
Police said Guzman-Feliz knew the suspects and the stabbing may have been gang-related, though Guzman-Feliz—who had no criminal record—was not a part of a gang. He reportedly ran into the Zesarina Grocery on East 183rd Street after being chased by the group.
“He tried to run into the store because he thought he’d be safe. They dragged him from the store like a dog,” Guzman-Feliz’s 17-year-old sister, Genesis Collado-Feliz told the New York Post. “They were grown men and he was only 15.”
Collado-Feliz described her younger brother as a “good kid” who enjoyed playing video games like Fortnite and 2K “like every 15-year-old,” she said.
Several videos of the incident have been widely circulated on Facebook. In one video, taken from outside a window several stories above the violent scene, bystanders can be heard screaming, “Oh sh**! Stop!”
Another graphic video posted on Facebook shows Guzman-Feliz covered in blood with his eyes wide open sitting on the sidewalk near St. Barnabas Hospital while people around him scream hysterically.
People can be heard telling the boy, who was referred to as “junior,” to “keep [his] eyes open” and “keep talking.”
Guzman-Feliz eventually died of his injuries. The murder weapon hasn’t been recovered and the teen’s murderers were still at large, police said. Some people have said that the teen’s murder was a case of mistaken identity.
Social media has reacted to the news of violence, making the hashtags #Justice4Junior and #JusticeForJunior go viral on Twitter.
Junior ran to the hospital & made it outside of the hospital when he was sitting there taking his last breaths with cops around not getting help. Watching this 15 year old bleed to death and took no action. I’m honestly so damn tired of the police in the States #JUSTICEFORJUNIOR
They killed a 15 year old KID. Five “MEN” against one KID. They stabbed him, beat him and dragged him before leaving him to die. He used the last of his strength to get to a hospital but was recorded and questioned by police instead of being rushed to the ER. #JusticeforJuniorpic.twitter.com/6SCIgmBb5u

I just saw one of the saddest videos of a boy’s life being taken away from him & nobody tried to help him..I’m deeply saddened for him & his loved ones. Love & appreciate your young friends & family while they’re here, we’re losing too many young lives #JUSTICEFORJUNIOR
Can you imagine what he must’ve been thinking during his last moments? The fear he must have had? And just wanting to be with his mother? And loved ones? Omg! That shit hurts my soul. #JUSTICEFORJUNIOR

Bronx native Cardi B has even weighed in on the incident and called out New York police for being quick to “harass” residents, but not help.
“What piss me off the most is that these BX cops be harassing the sh** outta people then they see a boy bleeding to death and ask what happen?” she wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of the teen’s mother holding onto Guzman-Feliz as he lay on a hospital gurney. “How bout you call the ambulance like ya be calling for back up when ya see nikkas smoking in front of a building !!!!!”
“They are actively investigating several promising leads and have gotten several tips from the public that they are working right now,” a senior police official said Friday.

XXXTentacion’s family doesn’t want to have a funeral for him because they’re afraid someone will “shoot up the place,” Radar Online reports.
According to sources close to XXX’s family, the rapper’s relatives are begging his mother, Cleopatra Bernard, to cremate him instead of having a funeral because they fear the service “would turn into yet another crime scene.”
“His mother wants a funeral because that’s what he would have wanted,” the insider told Radar. “But other people in his family don’t want that at all because they don’t know if someone’s out there plotting to fire shots.”
“They’re also worried his fans are going to show up and possibly get too rowdy,” the source added. “His mom’s set on a funeral and wants all this violence to stop. She’s still grieving and trying to come to terms that her son’s dead.”
22-year-old South Florida tattoo artist Dedrick Williams was arrested Wednesday (Jun. 20) for his alleged involvement in XXXTentacion’s shooting death Monday afternoon in Deerfield Beach. Williams was charged with first-degree murder and was not given a bond. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office said they were “seeking additional suspects” still at large.
XXX’s mother said his girlfriend was pregnant with his child before he was killed. She shared a photo of a sonogram on Instagram along with the caption: “He left us a gift.” The ultrasound was taken on April 23rd, 2018 at 8 weeks, 3 days, which means the baby’s mother should be about 16 weeks (or four months) along by now.
New evidence in the investigation into XXXTentacion’s shooting death has revealed details about his murder, including XXX being targeted by his killers, how the rapper struggled for his life before he was fatally shot, and how police eventually collared one of the men responsible for his death.
The affidavit states that the main suspect in the shooting, 22-year-old tattoo artist Dedrick Williams, and another man followed XXX into RIVA Motorsports before shooting and robbed him in his car less than a half hour later. The court documents also say that XXXTentacion (real name: Jahseh Dwayne Onfrey) was specifically targeted in the attack.
Surveillance footage from outside the motorcycle shop, as well as from inside the business, captured two men entering the dealership while XXXTentacion shopped. The CCTV video also recorded the moment he was ambushed while leaving the bike shop’s parking lot.
Onfroy had brought a friend along with him to browse at the dealership where he was a regular customer. What happened to his passenger, and why the rapper was targeted, were not described in the court docs. Onfroy’s attorney, David Bogenschutz—who had previously warned XXX to become more aware of his security—said he believes his client had gone to a bank before traveling to RIVA motorsports.
Onfroy drove his BMW to the motorcycle dealer at about 3:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. About two minutes later, a dark-colored SUV arrived and parked in the dealer’s lot. Two men exited the SUV, one wearing a white tank top and bright orange sandals and the other wearing a dark T-shirt, and entered the store.
The man in the white tank and orange sandals, later identified as Williams, paid cash for a black mask, and the men left the store. They returned to the SUV and backed it into a homeowner’s driveway across the street from the dealership.
At 3:55 p.m., when Onfroy’s BMW was exiting the dealership’s lot, the SUV pulled in front of it, blocking Onfroy in. An eyewitness told detectives two armed men dressed in dark clothing and gloves—one wearing a red mask and the other in a black mask—approached the driver side of the rapper’s vehicle.
XXX briefly struggled with the masked men, who then shot the rapper multiple times before reaching inside the BMW and taking his Louis Vuitton bag. XXX was hit in the neck and died instantly, witnesses said. The masked men fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
Broward Sheriff’s deputies were able to quickly identify Williams because he was seen wearing the same orange sandals he had on when he killed XXXTentacion in multiple photographs posted to Instagram and Facebook. Williams’ identity was also confirmed by eyewitnesses and employees of the shop. Within 48 hours, Williams was taken into police custody and charged with first-degree murder for X’s shooting death.
According to Williams’ arrest report, police contact was made with him as he drove a 2004 silver Honda Accord, which he was driving without a valid license and a suspended ID. The records accuse Williams of murdering XXXTentacion with “a premeditated design to effect the death of a human being, Jahseh Onfroy” and allege he did “have an active part and did kill and murder by shooting him with a deadly weapon, to wit: a gun.”
Williams appeared in court the day after his arrest and was denied bond. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office said they were “seeking additional suspects” still at large. Williams’ brother posted a video on social media denying Williams’ involvement in the shooting.
Though police don’t believe Williams is the one who actually pulled the trigger, his active role in the homicide led to him being arrested on a premeditated murder charge.
Vinnie Paul—a legendary drummer for various heavy metal bands, most notably Pantera—has died at the age of 54. Paul’s rep confirmed his death to Billboard. Paul passed away on Friday (Jun. 22) in Las Vegas.
“Vincent Paul Abbott aka Vinnie Paul has passed away,” Pantera said in a statement on its Facebook page. “Paul is best known for his work as the drummer in the bands Pantera and Hellyeah. No further details are available at this time. The family requests you please respect their privacy during this time.”
How did Vinnie Paul die? What was his cause of death?
While Vinnie Paul’s official cause of death hasn’t been revealed, TMZ reports that the rock legend died in his sleep at his home in Las Vegas. According to the gossip site, “His body’s been turned over to the medical examiner to determine a cause of death, and after that he’ll be flown back to his home state of Texas to be buried between his mom and brother.”
According to Billboard, Paul (born: Vincent Paul Abbott), along with his brother, Dimebag Darrell, formed the heavy metal band Pantera in 1981. The group later found mainstream success with second lead singer Phil Anselmo. Pantera went on to earn four Grammy nominations and had nine albums chart on the Billboard 200, including 1994’s Far Beyond Driven, which debuted at No. 1.
After Pantera broke up in 2003, the Abbott Brothers founded another group called Damageplan. Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed onstage during a concert in Columbus, Ohio on December 8th, 2004, according to Billboard.
Paul had been playing the drums for the heavy metal supergroup Hellyeah since 2006.
Vinnie Paul was born in Texas and credited the Lone Star state for inspiring his sound. He told OnlineDrummer.com in an interview a few years back: “The Texas thing is part of it, growing up on a healthy dose of ZZ Top and Stevie Ray Vaughan, but I also was a metal-head from day one. Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Van Halen, all my favorite bands had really great grooves to their music.”
Netflix has fired its top communications spokesman after the longtime company exec was caught using the N-word on two separate occasions during meetings.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings sent a lengthy e-mail to Netflix employees saying that he had fired Johnathan Friedland for showing an “unacceptably low racial awareness and sensitivity” that did not align with the company’s values.
In the staff memo, Hastings recalled two separate instances in which Friedland used the N-word, a derogatory term for Black people.
The first time was several months ago in a PR meeting about sensitive words, and Friedman apologized after he was told by several people how inappropriate and hurtful his use of the term was.
The second time Friedman used the N-word was just a few days later, during a meeting with two black Human Resources employees who were trying to help him deal with the original offense.
“We had hoped this was an awful anomaly never to be repeated,” Hastings wrote. “Three months later he spoke to a meeting of our Black Employees @Netfix group and did not bring it up, which was understood by many in the meeting to mean he didn’t care and didn’t accept accountability for his words.”
Hastings continued, “The second incident confirmed a deep lack of understanding, and convinced me to let Jonathan go. As I reflect on this, at the first incident, I should have done more to use it as a learning moment for everyone at Netflix about how painful and ugly that word is.”
Hastings said his white privilege caused him to “intellectualize” and “minimize” the incidents and acknowledged that he needs “to set a better example by learning and listening more so I can be the leader we need.”
Friedland, who served as the popular streaming company’s chief communications officer for the past six years, tried to get ahead of the news of his firing by taking to Twitter to announce his exit from Netflix after making “insensitive” comments to members of his team.
“I’m leaving Netflix after seven years,” Friedland tweeted. “Leaders have to be beyond reproach in the example we set and unfortunately I fell short of that standard when I was insensitive in speaking to my team about words that offend in comedy.” He said he felt “awful” about the distress his lapse in judgement caused the company and its staff, and also said he was “honored” to have worked for the company for so long.
I feel awful about the distress this lapse caused to people at a company I love and where I want everyone to feel included and appreciated. I feel honored to have built a brilliant and diverse global team and to have been part of our collective adventure.
He later tweeted out, “Thanks. Rise high, fall fast. All on a couple of words….” before quickly deleting it, but The Hollywood Reporter captured a screenshot before the tweet was removed.
Friedland, a former Disney executive, first joined Netflix back in February 2011 as the company’s vice president of global corporate communications and was promoted to the top comms role the next year. A replacement for Friedland hasn’t been named yet.
You can read Netflix CEO Reed Hasting’s full memo to employees announcing Friedman’s firing below:
All:
I’ve made a decision to let go of Jonathan Friedland. Jonathan contributed greatly in many areas, but his descriptive use of the N-word on at least two occasions at work showed unacceptably low racial awareness and sensitivity, and is not in line with our values as a company.
The first incident was several months ago in a PR meeting about sensitive words. Several people afterwards told him how inappropriate and hurtful his use of the N-word was, and Jonathan apologised to those that had been in the meeting. We hoped this was an awful anomaly never to be repeated.
Three months later he spoke to a meeting of our Black Employees @ Netflix group and did not bring it up, which was understood by many in the meeting to mean he didn’t care and didn’t accept accountability for his words.
The second incident, which I only heard about this week, was a few days after the first incident; this time Jonathan said the N-word again to two of our Black employees in HR who were trying to help him deal with the original offense. The second incident confirmed a deep lack of understanding, and convinced me to let Jonathan go now.
As I reflect on this, at this first incident, I should have done more to use it as a learning moment for everyone at Netflix about how painful and ugly that word is, and that it should not be used. I realize that my privilege has made me intellectualize or otherwise minimize race issues like this. I need to set a better example by learning and listening more so I can be the leader we need.
Depending on where you live or grew up in the world, understanding and sensitivities around the history and use of the N-word can vary. Debate on the use of the word is active around the world (example) as the use of it in popular media like music and film have created some confusion as to whether or not there is ever a time when the use of the N-word is acceptable. For non-Black people, the word should not be spoken as there is almost no context in which it is appropriate or constructive (even when singing a song or reading a script). There is not a way to neutralize the emotion and history behind the word in any context. The use of the phrase “N-word” was created as a euphemism, and the norm, with the intention of providing an acceptable replacement and moving people away from using the specific word. When a person violates this norm, it creates resentment, intense frustration, and great offense for many. Our show Dear White People covers some of this ground.
Going forward, we are going to find ways to educate and help our employees broadly understand the many difficult ways that race, nationality, gender identity and privilege play out in society and our organization. We seek to be great at inclusion, across many dimensions, and these incidents show we are uneven at best. We have already started to engage outside experts to help us learn faster.
Jonathan has been a great contributor and he built a diverse global team creating awareness for Netflix, strengthening our reputation around the world, and helping make us into the successful company we are today. Many of us have worked closely with Jonathan for a long time, and have mixed emotions. Unfortunately, his lack of judgment in this area was too big for him to remain. We care deeply about our employees feeling safe and supported at Netflix.
Much of this information will be in the press shortly. But any detail not in the press is confidential to employees.
Not too long after Dedrick Devonshay Williams was taken into police custody Wednesday night (Jun. 20) in Pompano Beach, Florida—a neighboring city south of Deerfield Beach—for his alleged involvement in the murder of rapper XXXTentacion, the tattoo artist’s brother vehemently denied his involvement in the shooting.
“Keep my brother name out your mothaf***in’ mouth, my n****,” Dedrick D. Williams’ brother 26 Shotz said in a video that’s being widely circulated online. “We ain’t playing no games bruh, y’all getting y’all self in a whole bunch of trouble, dog. Y’all just mind y’all business, let them crackas do they mothaf****ing job… a n**** pulling up for real. All y’all out there, I don’t give a f***, I don’t pick faces, Z s**t n****.”
Broward County investigators have credited the public and internet sleuths for helping to track down Williams, as the 22-year-old left hints to the shooting on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
It was previously suspected that South Florida rappers Soldier Kidd and Soldier Jojo were responsible for the shooting because they were seen on Instagram near the same location where XXXTentacion was killed, but they quickly denied those allegations Monday (Jun 18)—the same day XXX died.
As we reported yesterday, Dedrick Williams—a tattoo artist from Florida who also goes by the name “Tattooman Chucky”—apparently loved to flash money and jewelry all over social media, especially on Instagram.
He also wrote a number of disturbing posts on social media that don’t really help his case. For instance, the day he was arrested, Williams wrote on Facebook: “Don’t piss me off u will never know wats next.” And in a June 10th post on Instagram, he said, while holding up a bunch of 20 dollar bills in the shape a fan: “I just be ZOOLIN but I”ll lock and grip and shake a n**** til he stiff.”
According to eyewitness accounts, Williams was scoping XXXTentacion out at the motorcycle shop before he allegedly robbed and killed him. The story goes that Williams waited for XXX to return to the bike shop with cash after the rapper allegedly left the dealership to go to the bank to get money. When XXX came back to the dealership (RIVA Motorsports), that’s when Williams and two others took allegedly the opportunity to rob and kill the “SAD!” rapper.
The shooting is still under investigation and police have already issued warrants for Williams’ two accomplices. Williams is facing first-degree murder charges and was denied bond in court Thursday.
Joe Jackson is in the hospital with terminal cancer and is reportedly in the final stages of the disease.
According to TMZ, the Jackson family patriarch has been battling cancer for some time, and his battle is nearing the end, as he is currently on his deathbed. TMZ’s sources say the cancer is untreatable.
Joe’s wife, Katherine Jackson, has been at his bedside, as well as some of their children and grandchildren.
Doctors have reportedly told the Jacksons to say their last goodbyes to Joe as he could die any day now.
Dedrick D. Williams, a Florida man with an extensive criminal background, has been accused of shooting and killing rapper XXXTentacion. He was arrested Wednesday night (Jun. 20) by the Broward County Sheriff’s Department and is facing first-degree murder charges in XXX’s shooting death.
Before allegedly committing the horrible murder and being subsequently arrested, Dedrick Devonshay Williams—a local tattoo artist who went by the name “Tattooman Chucky”—apparently loved to flash money and jewelry all over social media, especially on Instagram.
In addition to photos showing off his inkwork, a significant number of photos on Dedrick Williams’ Instagram page show him showing off huge wads of cash. He also wrote a number of disturbing posts on social media that don’t really help his case.
For instance, the day he was arrested, Williams wrote on Facebook: “Don’t piss me off u will never know wats next.”
And in a post on Instagram, dated June 10th, he said, while holding a bunch of 20 dollar bills in the shape of a fan: “I just b ZOOLIN but I’ll lock and get a grip and shake a n**** til he stiff.”
In another IG photo, shared on March 17th, he said: “I ain’t neva ask nobody to like me bitch I’m full throttle” along with emojis of a middle finger, a bag of money, and guns.
He wrote in the caption of another photo: “Every time I plea I plea not guilty in the first place.”
In another, Williams is posing behind bars, which some people pointed out is where he’ll likely be spending a significant chunk of his life. “Look at you practicing for jail,” wrote one commenter.
Ironically, Williams captioned a more recent photo, dated June 5th: “Thank God I ain’t dead or behind bars.”
Check out more photos from Dedrick D. Williams aka Tatooman Chuckie’s Instagram below:
According to eyewitness accounts, Williams was scoping XXXTentacion out at the motorcycle shop. The story goes that Williams waited for XXX to come back to the bike shop with money (the rapper allegedly left the dealership and went to the bank before heading back to the bike shop) and that’s when Williams and two others robbed and killed the “SAD!” rapper.
According to Gossip In The City (aka Fameolous), the police suspected Williams was was XXXTentacion’s killer the day of the murder, however, they didn’t release any information because they knew Williams would try to run and/or hurt other people.
Even though XXXTentacion is no longer with us, it looks like he’s leaving a piece of himself behind.
Just three days after the “SAD!” rapper was murdered in South Florida, his mom revealed some big news via Instagram that will surely have XXX’s fans looking toward the future.
“He left us a gift,” Cleopatra Bernard captioned a photo of an ultrasound Thursday (Jun. 21), revealing that before his tragic death, the 20-year-old rapper was expecting a baby.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BkTQdl3hvuN/
The date written on the sonogram reads April 23rd, 2018, and it was taken at 8 weeks, 3 days. By now, the mother should be about 16 weeks along. Bernard did not reveal who the mother of X’s rumored unborn child is.
Xanarchkitty, a stripper/female rapper from Ft. Lauderdale, who was friends with XXXTentacion, re-posted the ultrasound photo on her Instagram story, but quickly took it down after people started assuming she was the baby mama and posted this:
“What is wrong with you guys! I never said I was the mom I was simply sharing the sonogram and sending a blessing!! Whoever tried to make me look bad like I would ever create an assumption like that is awful!! Please stop sharing that! To anyone who was offended or thought something bad I’m sorry that is not true.”
XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was gunned down Monday (Jun. 18) outside a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida in what police believe was an attempted robbery.
On Wednesday, the suspected shooter, Dedrick D. Williams, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Williams appeared in court Thursday to be formally charged and was denied bond. Police said they have warrants issued for two more suspects.

According to the XXX’s lawyers, the rapper was on “modified house arrest,” and was awaiting trial for multiple charges including domestic battery by strangulation, aggravated battery and false imprisonment of a pregnant woman.
His ex-girlfriend Geneva Ayala, who accused him of the abuse, and is NOT the woman currently carrying his alleged unborn child, tweeted about how upset she was after his death.
“It’s disgusting that people are speaking for me. I don’t care if no one cared about me however many months ago, I didn’t lose my life. He did. It’s permanent,” she said. “I’m still here. Like how do you think that makes me feel? Everyone expecting me to be relieved or happy?! No, I’m broken.”

In January 2017, Ayala accused XXX of domestic violence in a lengthy testimony, including an allegation of slapping her so hard “you hear ringing.” She also claimed he threatened to vaginally penetrate her with either a barbecue fork or a barbecue brush.
She said in her testimony that once she became pregnant with his child, he punched and strangled her before leaving her alone in a room for two days. XXXTentacion denied Geneva’s allegations.

Rapper Jim Jones was arrested in Georgia after leading police on a chase that ended with him getting popped for possession of drugs and a firearm, TMZ reports.
Cops attempted to pull over a grey Mercedes SUV Jim was riding in with three other people in Cowetta County, GA Thursday night (Jun. 21). According to police, the grey Mercedes SUV was traveling south on I-85 and reportedly drifted into the left-hand emergency lane several times.
Instead of stopping for police, the car accelerated, which sparked a chase, the Sheriff’s Department said. The car eventually stopped after running into a deputy’s vehicle. Jones was NOT driving at the time. The “We Fly High” rapper was simply a passenger in the backseat.
When Investigator Jeremy Wood with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office pulled up beside the SUV, the interior of the car appeared to be filled with smoke and the smell of marijuana was apparent after Wood rolled down his window, according to Chief Deputy James Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.
A traffic stop was conducted on the SUV at exit 35, where the driver of the SUV reportedly rolled through the stop sign at the bottom of the exit ramp before pulling over on the side of Hwy 29.
While officers were exiting their vehicle, the driver of the SUV accelerated and led police on a short chase that ended on Griffin Street near Frazier’s, where Wood pulled in front of the SUV to stop it and was intentionally struck by the driver, Yarbrough said.
The occupants of the SUV were then ordered out of the car and to place their hands on the roof.
Jones said he had told the driver of the car, , to pull over, but stated she was acting “incoherent,” according to the report.
After searching the vehicle, deputies found marijuana, 23 Oxycodone pills, Percocets, vape cartridges, THC oil, two loaded pistols and $148 cash, which Jim called “just petty cash.” According to cops, of the two guns they found, one of them was stolen.
Ana Rajnee Miles, Darnell Maurice Wright, and Jamal Rajhun Smith were arrested along with Jim Jones.
Because no one admitted to the possession of any of the items, although Jones said he had a prescription for the Oxy and Percs, everyone was arrested.
Jones, who also reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana but denied that the weed found in the car was his, told the cops that he told the driver—identified as 23-year-old Ana Rajnee Miles—to pull over, but she was acting “incoherent.”
Jim Jones, whose real name is Joseph Guillermo Jones, was charged with three felonies: possession of a stolen gun, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of narcotics. The 41-year-old rapper was also hit with a misdemeanor charge for the prescription pills not being in their original container. He was later released on $7,000 bail.
As for Jones’ friends, Miles was charged with aggravated assault, fleeing/attempting to elude police, theft by receiving stolen property, narcotics possession, marijuana possession, dangerous drugs to be kept in original container, aggressive driving and failure to maintain lane.
31-year-old Darnell Maurice Right and 32-year-old Jamal Rajhun Smith, were also charged with narcotics possession, marijuana possession and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Smith was also charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
Rosfeld had only been on duty in East Pittsburgh for three weeks and been sworn in just 90 minutes before the shooting. He was placed on paid leave after the shooting and is being represented by an attorney from the law firm of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin.
Rosfeld told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 he and his family are trying to deal with what happened and said the entire situation has been difficult for them. He said he’s not ready to talk about the shooting and why he shot Antwon Rose. He added that he has received a lot of support from others in law enforcement and is not paying attention to the media coverage. Rosfeld told the news station he was not aware that part of the incident was captured on video.
Authorities said Rosfeld pulled over the car Rose was in Tuesday night because it matched the description of a vehicle used just minutes earlier in a shooting in a neighboring town. As Rosfeld took the driver into custody, Rose and another not-yet-identified passenger jumped out of the car and ran.
Video footage recorded by an eyewitness shows Rosfeld shooting Rose in the back as he fled the scene. After gunshots were heard, the person recording the video gasps in shock and can be heard saying, “Why are they shooting at them? … All they did was run and they’re shooting at them?”
The teen, who lives in Rankin (a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania about 8 miles south of Pittsburgh), was taken to McKeesport Hospital via ambulance and was pronounced dead at 9:10 p.m.
An eyewitness told WTAE-TV that she saw the whole thing go down from her porch. She said she saw officers approaching the vehicle with their guns drawn, and when the officers handcuffed the driver, that’s when the two passengers opened their doors and took off running. She then heard shots fired.

The shooting occurred in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a borough with about 2,000 residents in Allegheny County that is about 15 minutes outside the city of Pittsburgh. According to police, the incident began with another shooting in neighboring North Braddock. The 22-year-old male who was shot in the shooting police were initially responding to was taken to the hospital and survived.
Police said Officer Rosfeld fired three shots and Rose was hit three times. Allegheny County Police Department Superintendent Coleman McDonough said he “briefly saw” the video footage of the shooting.
“It’s important, however it has to be taken in the context of the entire investigation,” he said. “It’s a snapshot in time and while important, it will be factored into the larger totality of the investigation.”
McDonough added, “I understand in today’s atmosphere any time a young man is killed there’s cause for outrage in some areas. However, I would urge people to give us time to conduct an objective investigation, to gather facts. As you know, social media is so prolific now, some of the initial postings on social media that came out directly after this incident were inaccurate and inflammatory. So I would urge that people in the community give us a chance to conduct an investigation and I guarantee that’s what they will get from the Allegheny Police.”
McDonough said there are rare times when shooting someone in the back can be justified.
“It’s very complex, there are a lot of dynamics. There is something called a reactionary gap between the time a human perceives a threat and is able to act on it,” he explained. “Things happen, people turn around and things. I’m not saying that any of that applies to this situation because it’s too early and we can’t make judgments. Ultimately, our findings will go to the district attorney and he will make that judgment whether or not this was a justified use of force by a police officer.”
The investigation into Rose’s shooting is ongoing. Police said two firearms were found in the car Rose ran from, but authorities have said they didn’t find a gun near Rose or on his person after he was shot.
Bystanders said Rose was not armed and had his back to officers when he was gunned down. Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. did say that the teen had an empty handgun clip in his pocket though.
McDonough said the officer was conducting a “felony traffic stop” and ordered the driver out and had him “prone” on the ground. He said the officer also gave a command to the other occupants in the vehicle and that’s when they took off running. McDonough said he believes police gave Rose a verbal order before the shots were fired.
McDonough said he was confident the vehicle officers pulled over was the one used in the shooting. He said it matched the description given by eyewitnesses and had damage to the back window that was possibly caused by gunshots returned by the shooting victim during the first incident.
The driver of the vehicle was released after being interviewed by detectives and was not charged. The driver told police he worked as a jitney, an unlicensed cab driver, and was working in that role Tuesday night, according to the Post-Gazette. Police confirmed the driver had worked as a jitney in the past.
The other man who ran from the vehicle was not apprehended, and police are asking him to turn himself in “so that he can give a comprehensive description of what occurred.”
East Pittsburgh Mayor Louis Payne said that less than 2,000 people live in the tiny borough, and they’re still trying to understand what happened. He also said that this is the first time during his 20-year tenure as mayor that he’s ever heard of a police firing their weapon.
“I’ve been a mayor for 20 years and long before that I don’t think a police officer’s discharged their pistol or weapon in all that time and unfortunately it had to be now,” Payne said. “We can’t change what happened, nothing can change what happened. All we can do is remember Antwon, pray on it and dwell on it and make something good come out of his life.”
Attorney Fred Rabner, who is representing Antwon’s family, said the teen’s death is a tragedy “whose narrative has sickeningly become all too familiar — a young black man shot by an over-zealous, poorly trained, police officer.” Rabner continued, “The facts, while limited, have already revealed that this is yet another senseless act of violence where a police officer sworn to uphold the law and protect its citizens, shoots a child indiscriminately and cowardly in the back.”
Antwon did not have a criminal record and, before Tuesday, had no involvement with the police. “We shouldn’t have to add that he had no past criminal involvement, but in this climate we have to stress the same to all the police brutality apologists,” Mr. Rabner said. “We owe it to him to ensure his death was not in vain and that he and his family receive the justice they rightfully deserve.”
Mr. Rabner, who represented Leon Ford, a man who was shot and paralyzed by Pittsburgh police in 2012 said Antwon having an empty clip in his pocket, or the fact that police found two firearms inside the car he was in, doesn’t matter. “None of [that] would play into the evaluation as to whether this was a reasonable action by the police officer, or a good shoot,” he said. “He is running away, empty-handed, and he is shot in the back. Period.”
Mr. Rabner said under the law, “it’s what the officer knew at the time, first of all. Second of all, whether the action was taken to protect his safety and interest or others’ safety or interest. There was no risk at all to the officer.”
According to WPXI-TV, Rose attended Woodland Hills High School in Pittsburgh and was a rising senior.
“The Woodland Hills School District acknowledges the gun violence that occurred recently within the neighborhoods that our district serves,” Licia Lentz, the school district’s Assistant Superintendent said in a statement. “We are urging the communities to help us call a ceasefire to end this gun violence to keep our community safe for our children … Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and the entire Woodland Hills Community.”
School District Superintendent Al Johnson told the New York Times that Rose “was an excellent student” who had been taking Advanced Placement classes. Along with Antwon’s death, Johnson said, “we’ve lost four students to gun violence.”
S. Lee Merritt, a lawyer representing Antwon’s family said in a statement Wednesday night: “We know very little about the circumstances surrounding his death at this early stage. We must emphasize that rumors of him being involved in a separate shooting are unsubstantiated. We know that he was not armed at the time he was shot down, that he posed no immediate threat to anyone, and that, significantly, the driver of the vehicle he occupied was released from police custody.”
Mayor William Peduto of Pittsburgh said in his own statement, “This is a devastating situation and I am saddened for Antwon Rose and his family.”
Gisele Barreto Fetterman, wife of Braddock, Pennsylvania Mayor John Fetterman, wrote on Facebook that Antwon helped volunteer at the Free Store, an organization she created that helps provide goods to people in need. She said when he was 14, “and only a few weeks into summer vacation,” he asked about volunteering at the Free Store and he “was scheduled to return this summer.” She added, “His life was just starting, he was part of a wonderful family and he was SO LOVED by so many and he didn’t deserve this.”
Mrs. Fetterman spoke to the NY Times about Antwon’s politeness when he would stop by to help on Saturday mornings. “He would always call me Ms. G or Ma’am,” she said. Fetterman told KDKA-TV Antwon “was a funny, goofy kid who loved chasing children around the store.”
Duquesne Mayor Nickole Nesby wrote on Facebook: “He volunteered for me as well. He prepared excel spreadsheets and scheduled for our Movies in the Park on Friday’s. My heart is broken.”
Rose once worked during the summer at a children’s gymnastics and fitness center in Pittsburgh, its owner, Kimberly Eads Ransom, wrote on Facebook Wednesday. She said the photo of him circulating on social media, showing him smiling next to a little girl, was taken in her gym when he worked there.
“He was fantastic and I have nothing but great things to say about him,” she wrote. “He showed up in a 3 piece suit to his job interview in the middle of July heat in a gym. We loved him. The kids loved him. He was valued and we won’t forget him.”
18-year-old Raemon Prunty, a childhood friend of Antwon’s who also volunteered at the Free Store, said the last time he spoke to him was three days ago. Prunty said that as a young black male, he, too, would have done the same thing Antwon did. “If I was in Antwon’s shoes, I would have ran,” he said. “It’s out of fear.”
The video footage from court shows Williams going before the judge at the Broward County Courthouse and he was formally charged with 1 count of first-degree murder and 1 count of grand theft auto.
Apparently, Williams has retained the services of a public defender, who said that there has been no witnesses or testimony in the case, and all the courts had to arrest him was a probable cause affidavit.
But the judge made it clear that based on the court docs, she found probable cause and “proof of guilt to be evident or the presumption great,” so she chose to hold him without bond in regards to the murder charge.
Williams was also hit with a probation violation stemming from a 2014 case and will appear in court Monday (Jun. 25) for that.
As we previously reported, Williams—an 11-time felon—was arrested Wednesday night in South Florida after a police chase (he had also stolen a car, hence the grand theft auto charge). His criminal record includes arrests for cocaine possession, weapons possession, domestic violence, aggravated assault with a firearm and grand theft auto.
Authorities believe there are at least two others involved in XXX’s murder, and according to TMZ, there are two other arrest arrests that have been signed by a judge. The two suspects haven’t been taken into custody yet, but they could be arrested before the end of the week.
XXXTentacion was gunned down Monday afternoon (Jun. 18) in broad daylight as he sat in his car after leaving RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida, which is not too far from where he lives.
The shooting happened in front of several witnesses, who reported seeing “masked men” fleeing the scene. X was reportedly shot in the neck and died instantly.
A Louis Vuitton bag was stolen from the scene and police have yet to determine if the men accused of XXXTentacion’s murder had any personal ties to the entertainer.
The man accused of murdering XXXTentacion has been arrested.
TMZ first broke the news that 22-year-old Dedrick D. Williams was taken into custody by the Broward County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday (Jun. 20) and was booked for first-degree murder for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of XXXTentacion.
During a vigil in South Florida Wednesday night, X’s mother reportedly told family and friends she had gotten word from police that they had XXX’s alleged murder in custody.
Someone at the vigil mentioned that there was a chase on highway I-95, which ended with cops arresting Williams for X’s murder.
Williams was arrested for operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license, violating his probation, and, of course, allegedly murdering XXXTentacion. His charges include first-degree murder and grand theft auto. He’s currently being held in Broward County’s main jail facility with no bond for his murder charge, though his driving without a license charge has a $25 bail.
You can see Williams’ charges in detail via his arrest report below:
According to the Miami Herald, Williams was in the middle of serving five years probation on four counts of grand theft auto when he was arrested Wednesday.
TMZ reports Williams, who has at least 11 felonies on his record, has been arrested before for crimes including cocaine possession, weapons possession, domestic violence, and aggravated assault with a firearm. During an incident in 2014, he allegedly held a gun to his girlfriend’s head.
According to an Instagram profile with the username “_tattoomanchucky” that appears to belong to Williams, he is a tattoo artist. Coincidentally, a June 5th post is captioned: “Thank God I ain’t dead or behind bars.”
XXXTentacion was shot and killed Monday afternoon (Jun. 18) as he sat in his car after leaving RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
The shooting happened in broad daylight in front of several witnesses, who reported seeing at least two masked men fleeing the scene. Eyewitnesses said the rapper was shot in the neck and died instantly.
No word yet on whether police know who the other men involved in the shooting are.
XXXTentacion’s tragic shooting death has unsurprisingly led to a renewed interest in his music. As is the norm when any popular artist dies, their fans rush to buy their music, and in more recent times, their streaming numbers instantly shoot up.
In XXXTentacion’s case, his Amazon album sales have skyrocketed more than 700,000%, his “SAD!” single rose to the top of iTunes’ top songs chart, beating out Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s new single “Apes**t,” and his ? album (which features the song “SAD!”) climbed to No. 3 overall on the iTunes charts. “SAD!” also leapt to No. 2 on Spotify’s U.S. chart, and it’s likely that his albums ? and 17 will see a jump on the Billboard 200 chart as well.
The renewed interest in XXX’s music has also led to a number conspiracy theories about his rumored third album, with many fans believing that the rapper didn’t actually die, but faked his death to promote an album called No Pulse, which isn’t really as crazy as it sounds, considering the stunts XXXTentacion has pulled in the past.
The No Pulse album promo theory, which has been perpetuated heavily on social media (especially Twitter), points to things like XXX’s face tattoo not being visible in the crime scene video, and the lack of blood on his body or on/in the car, as clues that he’s actually still alive and simply faking his death. But those are just conspiracy theories, as XXXTentacion’s death has been extensively documented and was confirmed multiple times by Florida officials.
Also, the below photo shows blood on the seat’s headrest after his body was removed:
And this photo shows that the man in the video, did, in fact have tattoos on his face, but the angle/lighting obscured them:
As for the reports that he was planning to release an album called No Pulse, those are completely false as well, as there is no evidence that he was working on an album with that title. As a matter of fact, that title completely contradicts the album title that XXX had been teasing months before his death: Skins.
X first revealed plans to release Skins back in April when he posted a photo of yellow construction tape on Instagram with a caption that read “skins ‘the album’ coming soon.” The photo received more than 500,000 likes, but X took it down shortly after. A few weeks later, he provided fans with an update on the album by posting a message on his IG story that read: “I’m just getting started, next album will be done very soon.”
Some of X’s fans have pointed out that witnesses said X had “no pulse” after he was shot, speculating that this was a clue to the title of the rumored album.
One user wrote: “He’s not dead. He has an album coming out in the next few days/week called ‘no pulse’. It’s to promote the album & to prove that no one cares about people until they’re dead.”
A user replied to that tweet, saying: “Sis they’re not going to go through all this trouble and they’re not going to make millions of people cry to just prove something. he’s dead.”
The original user replied: “Yeah [I know] that but he probably would have already come out to say it was just a test and also if u record an album or song before u die then the record label u were signed with can release it that’s probably what they’re doing.”
#xxxtentacion#x#RIPXXXTentacion X might actually be alive. Compare his tattoos with the tattoos that are shown in the vid of him in the car. His forehead is completely clear + he said that his next album is going to be called “no pulse”. What do y’all think? pic.twitter.com/ApboAzhEQ2
Fans also pointed to a video of XXXTentacion claiming to “still be alive,” but that clip was from 2017 after it was rumored that he committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree, which turned out to be a publicity stunt to promote his new video at the time.
The conspiracy theories have no doubt caused a lot of confusion online.
In addition to confirmation from Broward County, Florida officials, X’s manager released a statement confirming his death. “On June 18, 2018, Jahseh Onfroy—known worldwide as XXXTentacion—tragically passed away from a gunshot wound in Deerfield, Florida,” the statement reads. “It is with great sadness that the news is confirmed in this official statement by his team—manager Solomon Sobande, EMPIRE, Bob Celestin, Esq. and AKW PR. In deference of his family , friends and loved ones and in light of further investigation, we ask that their privacy is respected at this time.”
The statement continued: “XXXTentacion touched the lives of millions around the globe and will forever reside in the hearts of countless fans who listened to his music, attended his concerts, and felt the glow of his uncontainable, undeniable, and unique spirit. News about memorial services to be issued forthcoming.”
Diplo took to Instagram to pay tribute to the rapper right after his death and revealed that he and Skrillex were planning on helping produce Skins. “He texted me this weekend, it was one of his goals to get me & Skrillex to finish his next album … I Invited him to LA this week. I was wondering if he was gonna come.”
It isn’t clear whether or not Skins was finished (or close to being finished) at the time of XXXTentacion’s death, or whether the album will ever see the light of day, but it’s very possible that even if it isn’t officially released, select tracks will be either leaked online or released by his label.

An unfinished version of the song “BAD!” was posted on YouTube a few months ago, and it’s believed to be one of the last songs XXX worked on before he was killed. It’s also rumored to have been on the tracklist for Skins.
XXXTentacion was gunned down as he left a motorcycle dealership on the afternoon of June 18th, 2018. Police are still looking for two suspects who they believe fled the scene in a dark SUV.
Witnesses told cops a Louis Vuitton bag was stolen from the rapper’s car, sparking the theory from police that his shooting was the result of a robbery. Authorities are offering a $3,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.
The last known photo of XXXTentacion was taken while he was shopping for a new motorcycle at RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield, Florida just moments before he was shot and killed Monday afternoon (Jun. 18).
According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Department, XXXTentacion (real name: Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy) was pulling out of Motorsports’ parking lot when he was gunned down in his BMW. The rapper was reportedly looking at motorcycles at the bike shop, which is located just a few minutes away from his home.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Dept. said in a statement that XXXTentacion “was leaving RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach shortly before 4 p.m. when he was approached by two armed suspects.” The statement continued:
“At least one of the suspects fired a gun striking Onfroy. Both of the suspects fled in a dark-color SUV. Investigators say it appears to be a possible robbery. Onfroy was transported to Broward Health North where he was pronounced dead. The investigation continues. Anyone with information is urged to contact BSO homicide detectives Walt Foster or John Curcio at 954-321-4210. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardscrimestoppers.org. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.”
XXXTentacion’s last photo, which has been widely circulated on social media, shows the rapper wearing a gray hoodie and red shorts—the same exact thing he was wearing in the video footage that was captured by bystanders after he was shot. A caption on the photo, which was originally shared on Snapchat, read: “X in the shop.”
XXXTentacion was apparently a frequent customer of RIVA Motorsports, who describe themselves as “Florida’s largest motorcycle, scooter, dirt bike, ATV, personal watercraft, and jet boat dealer.” In a post on Twitter, RIVA said XXX “was always polite to our crew and we enjoyed every time he visited.”
A full statement from RIVA on Twitter the day after XXX’s shooting death read: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Jahseh (@xxxtentacion). We considered him part of the RIVA family and he will be deeply missed. We will close today at 5 PM in order to join in the vigil to celebrate his life and pay our respects.”

XXXTentacion was shot in the neck and died instantly during the alleged robbery that claimed his life, according to eyewitnesses.
XXX was gunned down Monday (Jun. 18) in South Florida when two armed men approached his car and shot him. He was in the area shopping for a motorcycle at RIVA motorsports in Deerfield Beach, FL.
Eyewitness tell TMZ a bullet struck the rapper in the neck and he immediately went limp, losing all signs of life, including a pulse. It appears as though his death was instant, witnesses said.
Video footage captured immediately after the shooting showed the rapper lifeless in his vehicle as bystanders tried to find a pulse.
In the police dispatch audio, 911 dispatchers classified XXX as a level 1 trauma patient and described his state as “comatose,” however, bystanders said it was clear that XXX was already gone. Dispatchers revealed his shooters fled the scene in a black Dodge Journey.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office classified the incident as a robbery because his Louis Vuitton bag was stolen. So far, no one has been arrested, and a pair of South Florida rappers internet sleuths believe were responsible (Soldier Kidd and Soldier Jojo) have denied any involvement in the shooting.
The unarmed black teen who was fatally shot by police in East Pittsburgh has been identified as 17-year-old Antwon Rose Jr., according to WPXI-TV.
Rose was killed Tuesday night (Jun. 19) while running away during a traffic stop. The shooting was captured by an eyewitness on video, which shows Rose exiting the vehicle with another person and running away from police before multiple shots were fired.
After hearing two shots, the person recording the video gasps in shock and can be heard saying, “Why are they shooting? All they did was run, and they’re shooting at them.”
According to the Allegheny County Police Department, Rose exited a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle seen near a shooting that occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. on a neighboring street. An officer was reportedly handcuffing the driver of the vehicle when two males—one of them Antwon Rose—ran from the car.

An eyewitness told WTAE-TV that she saw the whole thing go down from her porch. She said she saw officers approaching the vehicle with their guns drawn, and when the officers handcuffed the driver, that’s when the two passengers opened their doors and took off running. She then heard shots fired.
Another video shows Rose being put into an ambulance while receiving chest compressions from a paramedic. Rose was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The 22-year-old male who was shot in the shooting police were initially responding to was taken to the hospital and survived.
The investigation into the officer-involved shooting is ongoing, the Allegheny County Police Department said in a press release Tuesday night. Police have not released the names of the officers involved in the shooting, but the officer who shot Rose has been placed on administrative leave.
Allegheny County Police Department Superintendent Coleman McDonough said two guns were found in the car, but Rose was NOT armed when he was shot in the back. The 20-year-old driver of the vehicle was released after he was questioned by police.
The other man who ran from the vehicle was not apprehended, and police are asking him to turn himself in “so that he can give a comprehensive description of what occurred.”
Gisele Fetterman, who runs several charities in the Pittsburgh area, wrote on Facebook that Antwon Rose had previously volunteered for her at Freestore15104, which helps provide goods to people in need. “His life was just starting, he was part of a wonderful family and he was SO LOVED by so many and he didn’t deserve this,” she wrote in the post.
Fetterman—wife of Braddock Mayor John Fetterman (who is a current candidate for Pennsylvania lieutenant governor)—described Rose as her “friend” on Twitter and shared an e-mail thread between them from 2015.
— Gisele Barreto Fetterman (@giselefetterman) June 20, 2018
She told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the community was “shocked” over Antwon’s death. “He was just a really lovely, gentle kid,” Mrs. Fetterman said. “His mom is amazing. All the kids loved him. Just a fine person. Bubbly. Funny. Goofy. Just really special.” She said Antwon planned to return this summer to volunteer for Freestore15104.
Duquesne City Mayor Nickole Nesby, who is friends with Antwon’s mother and knew him since birth, said “he was a beautiful little boy” and described him as well-mannered and very smart—with an IQ of 120. Antwon enjoyed playing basketball ad “was full of life,” she said.
Antwon had just gotten his driver’s license a few months ago, and Mayor Nesby said he went to pick her up and take her for a ride. “He was a pleasure,” she said.
Tekashi 6ix9ine seems to be taking XXXTentacion’s shooting death pretty hard, and admits that he may need to change his own ways before he ends up like him because he sometimes takes trolling a bit too far.
After learning of XXXTentacion’s murder, the rainbow-haired rapper posted a video on Instagram saying, “Sometimes I feel like I do too much trolling.” He added, “Tomorrow’s not promised … you can be here today and gone tomorrow.”
6ix9ine said XXX “spread nothing but positivity” and would often call him on the phone, even when they were beefing. In fact, right after news broke that XXX was murdered, 6ix9ine wrote on Instagram, “This can’t be true… was just on the phone.”
Tekashi69 also posted a screenshot of a recent conversation he had with XXXTentacion just before XXX’s death on June 18th. XXXTentaction wrote in the Instagram DM convo to Tekashi69: “Keep moving smart, squashing that beef was a good move.” In another message, XXX wrote: “When you get out move smarter, more patient, more relaxed.” XXX’S final message to Tekashi—sent June 16th, 2018—read: “Be safe okay? Never let your guard down.”
Eerily, on June 18th, two days after that warning, XXXTentacion was shot and killed outside of a motorcycle shop in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Authorities have suggested that robbery was a possible motive in the crime and are still searching for the suspects, who have been described as two black males wearing purple hoodies.
