Know anyone who has bought any Shrek drinking glasses from McDonald‘s lately? Well if so you might want to warn them to take them back pronto because Mickey Dees is now sending out a recall on all of the cups!
Apparently, the glasses are tainted with a toxic metal that could cause possible harm to children. However according to Scott Wolfson, the chief spokesman for the Consumer Product Safety Commission: “The product is not toxic and does not pose an acute risk to children.”
McDonald’s also spoke out on the matter and stated that despite the low level of risk to consumers, the recall is still going to be carried as a “precautionary measure” and “an abundance of caution.” The recall is going to cost one of America’s most loved fast food restaurants somewhere around $15 million!
Well… we all know McDonald’s is banking so this isn’t going to hurt them one bit!
