Rapper Missy Elliot is in the works to produce a film that accurately portrays her life; from her traumatic past to her rise to fame in the 1990s.
“It’s happening; I’ve just got to find a great writer because I wouldn’t want my story watered down,” she tells Elle Magazine. “I went through a lot, and I accomplished a lot, and I want people to know how it all went down.”
Missy, born Melissa Arnette, was repeatedly raped by an older cousin from the age of eight and also witnessed her father abusing her mother. During the 1990s, she became a star and is the only female rapper to have six certified platinum albums.
Hopefully this means a new Missy album soon. She’s been gone for too long. Would you go see a Missy biopic?

BOW WOW ON HIS SEX SCENE IN HBO’S ENTOURAGE »
“I know the girls, they’re going to go crazy when they see it,” he said of his appearance on the HBO series. “The ladies are gonna go crazy when they see Bow Wow’s first sex scene. It’s crazy ’cause for me, it was normal. It was normal, but I know when I look back at it, when I see it, I’m gonna be like, ‘Damn! Look at this. This is crazy!’ I stun myself sometimes, I can’t even front.”

Here is the official T2W video premiere of “Bad Girl“, featuring Missy Elliott, from Danity Kane platinum-selling album Welcome to the Doll House (Bad Boy/Atlantic) in stores now! The video reminds me a little bit of “Toxic” by Britney Spears with the whole “superhero” theme and everything.

New music from Missy Elliott from her upcoming album Block Party (Atlantic). This new track, “Best Best”, is produced by Danjahandz and also will be the first single from this new album. I personally thought “Ching-A-Ling” was the first single and “Shake Your Pom Pom” would be the second. I like those two tracks better than this but maybe it’s just me. Block Party will in stores September 9th.

Missy Elliott covers the June 14th issue of Billboard Magazine. In this issue of the mag Missy talks about her new album Block Party, what she’s been up to, and her new style.
Missy on how she got the name for her album:
I actually chose two. I’m releasing a preview to the album in the summer titled “Fanomenal.†When I saw all the people that entered the contest, I was overwhelmed. So I’m dedicating that one to my fans because they’ve rolled with me since day one. I’m still up in the air about the name for the actual album, but for now it’s “Block Party.†The reason for that is because there are a lot of dance joints on there.

Missy Elliot is giving her fans the opportunity to name her upcoming album, due late spring 2008, via her official site, missy-elliot.com. The contest closes February 20th and the winner will be announced on March 2nd. The winner will receive credit on Missy’s album and a $500 “Respect Me” Adidas gift card.
$500? Shit, at least make it a G lol. I know “Misdemeanor” ain’t that broke! Well, I don’t know … she might be, seeing as she spends at least $1 million on every video she makes. I don’t know if that’s 100% true, but it’s something I heard a while back. Not totally unbelievable since all of her videos have a lot of special effects and ish… And her new video is in 3D, so yeah, it might be true lol.
And what’s with this “album credit?” Unless it’s going to be directly under the title on the front/back/side packaging, then that’s really no prize. Who actually looks in the album credits? No, better yet … who still cops CDs on the regular? Lol.
