Future stopped by Hot 97’s “The Angie Martinez Show” to talk about his wealth, child support issues, and most notably, his “future” with Ciara (pun intended).
According to the new nouveau Roger Troutman, the fellow Atlanta-based artist is the one. Speaking on long term relationship plans, Future explained:
“This it…..I don’t get into nothing to get out. We haven’t set a date, this the one. I said it seven years ago, so for it to come around and happen it was meant to be.”
The seven year reference points to the first time he saw her on the set of one of her videos. Though he didn’t speak that day, he plotted on getting her in the future.
Let’s give Ciara a round of applause because this is a good move for her. Unless he spends frivolously and squanders it, he’s building himself a nice little fortune. That ought to help her because while I love her new album, she’s still not booking those stages that she speaks of.
Moreover, Future and Ciara have great musical chemistry so he can help her maintain some musical relevance. Stop laughing. Y’all know “Body Party” is one of the best R&B singles to come out in a long time.
And you know, he seems just as pressed as she does to chase that Beyoncé and Jay Z model. I don’t see that happening for them, but they’re a lovely couple all the same.
Meanwhile, Future and Pharrell have been in the studio lately. I’d love for them to get Ciara in there, too, and make some music. But yeah, congrats again to you, Ciara. Don’t mess it up. I’m kidding. Okay, I’m not.
