Platinum selling pop star Britney Spears is the latest celebrity to sign on to President Obama’s new anti-bullying campaign to stop the increasingly growing problem.

You’d be mistaken if you wrongfully assumed that Britney was just hopping on the anti-bullying bandwagon to gain some press for her upcoming album, because according to Spears’ twitter page, the President and First Lady Michelle Obama handpicked the southern bell to join their campaign.

”Anti bullying is an issue very close to my heart. I am honored that President Obama & the First Lady asked me to join this campaign,” Britney tweeted. “#StopBullyingNow.” (Source)

What better way to raise awareness for your cause than to recruit one of the biggest pop stars on the planet to tweet about it? Smooth move Mr. President. Smooth move.
