R&B singer/songwriter John Legend is being accused of stealing an aspiring songwriter’s work.
Anthony Stokes claims that he gave the “Ordinary People” singer a demo tape of his song “Where Are You Now” after meeting him at the University of North Carolina back in 2004. He claims that Legend assured him he would take a listen to it but never got back to him.
Stokes has since filed a copyright infringement suit in the U.S. District Court of New Jersey-Newark on Tuesday.
The Smith family (minus mama Jada Pinkett Smith and big brother Tre Smith) were seen having a family day out on the sandy beaches of Hawaii Thursday afternoon (Jul 7).
10-year-old Willow Smith was also spotted on the beach hanging out with her dad Will Smith and older brother Jaden Smith, whose 13th birthday was the very next day (Fri. Jul 8).

Rihanna, who is currently performing around the country for her “Loud” tour, was forced to end a concert early in Dallas after she (literally) set the stage on fire!
As the singer was performing one of her latest singles “California King Bed,” the pyrotechnics used to enhance the performance sparked a fire that erupted near the arena roof. Videos posted to YouTube show a fire burning at the stop of the stage of the American Airlines Center in DAllas, TX with some sparks falling toward the ground.

NeNe Leakes‘ son Bryson Bryant, who was arrested in Duluth, Georgia Thursday on shoplifting charges, is still sitting in a jail cell as of right now. The 21-year-old was arrested last year for charges of marijuana possession and violated his probation with his most recent arrest.
According to the recently released police report, Bryant was caught by Walmart security stealing two Gillette Mach3 razors that the store’s loss prevention employee Taija Aldridge valued at just $14 a piece.
Bryson is still listed as being in jail on the Gwinnett County inmate search website and currently has no bond due to his latest arrest violating the conditions of his probation.
“My day just got started off wrong! Damn,” Bryson’s mama, reality TV star NeNe Leakes from ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ tweeted yesterday.

A fresh-faced and makeup free Ciara stopped by a salon with a couple of her puppies in tow Thursday afternoon (Jul 7). The R&B/Pop singer was also spotted as she stopped on a sidewalk to give her pups, who were both being carried in a LV puppy bag, a quick potty break.

Former First Lady Betty Ford, widow of Former President Gerald Ford, has died.
Betty Ford, an outspoken advocate for women’s rights, is also known as the founder of the Betty Ford Center for substance abuse, one of the premiere rehab facilities in the whole world.
Thanks to Betty Ford, who struggled with her own alcohol issues, folks like Lindsay Lohan, Kelsey Grammer, Chevy Chase, Elizabeth Taylor, Anna Nicole Smith, Ozzy Osbourne, Drew Barrymore, David Hasselhoff and more have all had a chance to redeem themselves and battle their alcohol addiction problems without having to serve serious jail time.
President Barack Obama said Ford distinguished herself through her courage and compassion. He also said that as the nation’s first lady … she was a powerful advocate for women’s health and women’s rights.
Betty Ford was 93 years old.
Tyrese Gibson has denied rumors that he is “quietly dating” Whitney Houston.
Speculation of Tyrese dating the R&B legend was sparked through a story printed by the National Enquirer, who claimed that the two met earlier this year at a pre-Grammy party in L.A. “After the party, Whitney called to ask him out. Now, they’re quietly dating,” a so-called “insider” allegedly revealed to the tabloid mag.
