Both Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia can let out a huge sigh of relief.
The couple’s stalker, Karen Grace Sjoden, appeared in court Monday and pleaded no contest to charges of misdemeanor trespassing. She was sentenced to 3 years probation and was issued a strict order to stay away from the couple.

Sjoden had been kept in custody on $200,000 bail since being arraigned on February 14, but following Monday’s plea deal she will now be free once again. Judge Revel warned Sjoden about her no contact order: “You can’t email them, have a friend contact them and you can’t have third party contact with them. Sjoden has to return to the court May 16 for a “quick progress report,” according to the judge.”
Judge Revel attempted to get Sjoden a mental health evaluation and tried to get the DA to order it, however Sjoden refused and the DA did not request it so she is not required to meet with doctors. She has been granted permission to leave the state for a job.
An eyewitness tells RadarOnline.com that Sjoden appeared “incoherent” and “rambling” in court today: “Everything seemed to be going well but then [Sjoden] started rambling that ‘I sent a letter to Ellen asking her for a job and I assumed she hired me.’
‘Her sister Krista Taylor as in court and she was sighing. She had seemed happy that a plea deal was being put in place but as Sjoden started rambling her look changed to complete distress.”
During Sjoden’s February 14 court appearance she insisted that she was working as a private investigator for a company called Blue Moon, and that she was monitoring traffic to and from Ellen’s mansion. However, a spokesperson for Blue Moon, an organization based in Texas, told RadarOnline.com that Sjoden had never worked for them.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported Sjoden was arrested and charged with misdemeanor trespassing after being discovered on Ellen and Portia’s property on February 10. In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com the 49-year-old’s daughter and ex-husband described her as a “delusional conspiracy theorist” who had an unhealthy obsession with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Her ex-husband, George Macke, who was married to Sjoden until their divorce in 1998, said she is suffering from mental illness. “The diagnosis has been some time ago… she was accusing me of all sorts of things that I knew never happened and I knew it would never get any better,” he said.
Upon her arrest, cops found a letter referencing Clinton, Dolph Lundgren, Warren Buffet, telepathy and aliens.
