Earlier today (Mar 14), Fallout Boy frontman Pete Wentz stopped by “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” where the soon to be divorcee didn’t reveal too much about his pending divorce from wife Ashlee Simpson.
Instead, the tight lipped rocker expressed his great relief that his private affairs with his wife have managed to stay out of the headlines as of late thanks in part to the planet’s most infamous warlock….Charlie Sheen!
“It’s like the one time on earth I’m like, ‘Thank God Charlie Sheen exists!'” the Fall Out Boy bass player told Seacrest.
Back in February, Ashlee filed for divorce from Pete in L.A. County Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences,” requesting joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their son Bronx, as well as spousal and child support.
Speaking on the touchy breakup, Wentz had this to say:
“Ashlee’s been my best friend for five years, she’s the mother of my child, I have nothing but love and respect for her. Going through something like this isn’t easy, but we’re friends and we put our son first.”
Poor Pete. It’s clear this poor sap is still in love with his soon to be ex-wife, just like it’s clear his soon to be ex-wife is now giving all her “love and respect” to this guy.
Pete Wentz…..definitely not “winning.”
