With all of the attention Snooki gets, you would think that she would be the first “Jersey Shore” cast member to land a spin-off reality show. But according to a new statement from MTV, Paul DelVecchio aka DJ Pauly D, is the first out of the crew to get his own SOLO reality show on the network!
A well-received pilot of the show, which will revolve around the club DJ’s life outside Jersey Shore, was shot back in September. Look below for the press release:
“At the heart of ‘Jersey Shore’ is the unique and genuine cast and Pauly D truly embodies both qualities,” Chris Linn, executive vice president of programming and head of production for MTV, said in a statement. “He’s distinguished himself onscreen as the fun-loving, well-coiffed and dependable guy you can’t help but want to hang out with. We know viewers are curious about his life away from the shore and we look forward to exploring new possibilities around that.”
The third season of “Jersey Shore” will kick off January 6th, and you can catch the whole JS crew as they help MTV ring in the 2011 on New Year’s Eve.
