Just a year ago Rakim Mayers was attempting to get his buzz up and shine light on his collective the A$AP Mob. He released a few calculated viral visuals kicking off with “Purple Swag.” Now after the release of one mixtape, inking a three million dollar deal with RCA records, and dropping his debut ‘LongLiveA$AP,’ A$AP Rocky has his first platinum plaque.
Rocky linked up with all the hottest rappers of the moment and his fellow tour mates from Drake‘s Club Paradise Tour. 2 Chainz delivers another one of his hilariously quotable lines for the hook while the other emcees — including Hip Hop newcomer Kendrick Lamar — black out over Noah aka “40” of Octobers Very Own’s production.
This accolade is great for Rocky and he is on the lips of everyone for his high fashion choices so now would be the best time to roll out yet another single. Hopefully, Rocky and his camp are cooking up another visual for a follow up single to capitalize off of his recent success.
Whether you like A$AP Rocky or not. It is undoubted that he and his crew are some of the freshest talent from New York.
Harlem seems to have produced yet another fine talent who is unafraid to push the boundaries.
With a number one album and a platinum single Rocky has laid the foundation for a strong career, and now everyone will certainly be watching for what he does next.
