Drake has expressed his admiration for Aaliyah on several occasions, and Drizzy recently got a tattoo in dedication of the late singer — adding to his collection of Aaliyah tribute tattoos.
The tat, located on the side of his rib cage, reads “416,” which is Toronto’s area code, and on top of the “416” is “116” (in bold), which is Aaliyah’s birthday, January 16th. Drake revealed his first Aaliyah tribute tattoo — a picture of her face, located on his back — in December 2011.
Drake’s newest Aaliyah tattoo comes on the heel of rumors that the Young Money rapper is set to executive produce an upcoming posthumous album from Aaliyah.
And on Sunday (Aug 5), he fueled those rumors by posting a song to his blog titled “Enough Said,” which features vocals from the late singer.
The track, produced by Drake’s longtime pal Noah Shebib aka “40,” is endorsed by Aaliyah’s label Blackground Records, and serves as the newest music offering we’ve heard from the R&B singer since her tragic death over 10 years ago.
