The word on the curb is that Toya Carter Wright of BET’s “Tiny & Toya” and “Toya: A Family Affair” reality shows will be joining the cast of Bravo’s most popular reality show, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
According to Atlanta blogger ATLien of StraightfromtheA.com, Bravo has been all over town, interviewing potential candidates and what-not for the show’s upcoming fifth season; and Toya seems to be the popular vote amongst show producers.
Several of my inside sources have confirmed that Toya, a friend of current “housewives” Phaedra Parks (who worked with Toya on The Tiny & Toya Show) and Kandi Burruss (with whom Toya recently partnered with in a fitness campaign), is a front runner on the list.
Formerly the wife of rap superstar Lil Wayne, newly married Toya has stepped out of her ex husband’s shadow, and is now doing her own thing as the spokeswoman for Ampro hair gel, a New York Times bestselling author and the star of her own BET reality show, making her a nice addition to the cast of RHOA.
